There is something so lonely about having found family as your favorite\comfort trope. Like absolutely, I love that these characters found each other and that they are happy in their group. But there is also that lonely child deep in my soul that wishes that it was me. The piece of me that yearns for what they have, for a family outside of blood that loves you unconditionally and you can get up to shenanigans with. Every time I read about it as a kid, I was so jealous, because as much as you can read about it, you can never live it. You can never take the place of these characters that have a group of people that they can depend on and that love them. That was something I always wanted. Still, there is something so lonely and childish about longing to be apart of something like that. I spent my childhood years consuming media with the 'found family' to fill that lonely void within me.

Now here I am, all these years later, still consuming media with 'found family' to appease that lonely little girl inside of me who told herself stories just to fall asleep at night.

A little while later, Liam knocked on his door quietly.

“What?” Theo called, lying on his bed face down as he contemplated all his life’s choices that had led to this moment.

“I, uh, just wanted to say that I’m leaving now.” Liam said softly through the door. Theo had to strain to hear him.

“Have fun,” Theo replied, trying to inject at least some degree of sincerity into his voice. He didn’t quite manage it but thankfully it didn’t come out as sarcastically as Theo meant it.

“Thanks, uh, maybe we can talk when I get home?” Liam said, still loitering outside the door. Theo wondered why he wasn’t rushing off to his date, he had seemed to be in a hurry earlier when he wanted the shower.

“Yeah, okay,” Theo murmured, just loud enough for Liam to hear him.

Liam sighed but moved away from the door and then a couple minutes later, Theo heard the front door open and close. As soon as Liam was gone Theo let out a long groan. Now he’s all alone and the guy of his dreams just left to go on a date with someone else. Fuck.

Ok had posted this on twitter a few weeks ago but had to share it here too!

I had the most twisted thought ever but still… What if ,when Derek had to think about a name for his son , he would have thought about calling him Stiles because he loved this weird, hyperactive, kind, caring , courageous and intelligent young men and he missed him so damn much. Maybe if he call his son like that, he would be at least as much intelligent and kind. But hey, having a son named Stiles and had kept the sheriff’s son Jeep would be too obvious you know? So he had to think harder on it.

Then he remembered that Mieczyslaw Stilinski wasn’t the first Stiles in the family. It was the sheriff’s father. He knew that he wasn’t a good man, he knew what he had done to Noah and his mother, because he would have all about Stiles and his life archived somewhere in his brain. So he had took days of reflexion on it but what at the end it was pretty good to keep people from understand what he was doing. Stiles grand-father’s name was Elias, so he goes for Eli. Because in his maze of a brain, it was the closest he could get to « Stiles » .

Obviously at some point Noah had figured the thought process. It had help that the kid was so Stiles-like.He almost could have sworn that the boy could be his hidden grand-son if he didn’t knew that he was Derek’s son.

One day, as Derek was coming to get his kid back from the police station once again because he had obviously stolen the damn jeep. The sheriff gave back the car’s key to a jaded, ashamed and tired werewolf dad. Noah had smiled at him with simpathy and understanding. And looking at the boy siting in the jeep he told him

« I hope that the name had gifted him with what you wanted at first, because for me now he seem just as much a troublesome clumsy obsessed-with-this-jeep trouble-magnet as my boy was »Derek had raised his eyebrows at first in shock and looked at his son, let a loud sigh escaped and just answered

« Obviously it didn’t occurred to me that it was coming as a package to balanced the gifted side of it. Lucky me, you know how to deal with it. Thanks »Noah had laughed at that

« At this point you just should have called him Stiles, it could had been fun »

Derek as he opened the jeep’s door grin at him

«  No, too obvious, I prefer it the way it is, just you and me knowing what it means. »

He get in and drove , trying to not smile as he looked at his son, the almost spiting image of Mieczyslaw Stiles Stilinski. This name had really gifted his son with all he wanted it to and even more.He laughed slightly as he thouht that Stiles would freak out the day he would run into his boy riding in his mother’s old jeep.

Please dont throw rocks at me, It’s was 2 in the morning and I’m in an advanced lack of sleep 🙃🙃
