Who else thinks about mama boy Keigo, who under the right circumstances still got a chance to be with his mother, would be the biggest mama boy ever. He's the type to abandon you on a date randomly because his mother called and had a panic attack, the type to argue with her because she doesn’t believe you're good enough for her boy. And its not like shes a total angel either; shes really unstable, and Keigo had to mentally take care of her and pick her up from her high highs and low lows.

but this experience just makes him all the more a sweeter partner; he's so caring and nurturing in his own teasy way. It's like with you.. he can be himself and not that little boy stuck in a house his father made a hell, a memory that’ll haunt him forever.

dude i think about this all the fucking time. he’s such an expressive character it’s awesome. you can always tell what’s going on with him just by observing his body language

beginning of the series? before everything goes down? he’s open, relaxed. he’s really started to trust the people around again after years of not letting himself

you have him closing himself off after The Incident™️, his anger and frustration, and generally not feeling safe being on full display without needing to say anything

he closes off when he’s worried, scared, or being protective of the people around him

and he opens back up again once he starts getting comfortable with everyone again

i just. i love him so much, i love how no matter how hard he tries to keep people at bay. keep things to himself. he just. can’t. he’s an open book and boy howdy am i reading it

Keigo being the quiet shy kid in school with no friends until he meets the very outgoing and popular class clown type Touya at an after school program and Touya is always inviting him over for dinner and to sleepover and they play video games together and do homework together and “run away from home” together when their fathers get too much, Rei always sends Touya with extra food to give Keigo at lunch, they become best friends oh my heart

i'm not over the fact he has no high collar + it's unbuttoned. Like I've been overanalyzing Hawks's fashion choices for YEARS as a way of understanding him - he's been wearing the HSPC high collars forever, and he notably hides his face in his jacket and suddenly, he's unable to do that with his clothes. His neck is unbared. The costume he still wore when we last saw him is gone? He's just wearing a suit and looks....relaxed.

Like it's the small details that stick out here. This is not Hawks, this is a man who has allowed himself to be a person and not hide behind (masks/clothes/hero titles), someone open to letting down his guard. Given that's what's the cause of so much destruction (to him, around him, by him), this openness is both refreshing and the slightest bit reassuring that someone must have took Keigo aside at some point and told him he needs help or something.
