I'm not sure what kind of context this drawing could be in. I'm not sure about infection au, or maybe Rainbow Dash saved Applejack while on the job and got injured. I may or may not draw one more thing for this drawing, so maybe (1/???) or something?

Part One Two Three Four Five

What the fuck are you even so happy about? You fucked it up. Jesus you both fucked it up. I didn’t even know something like that could happen.

Eddie smiles at his bedroom ceiling in the dim light, “it was amazing.”

You hugged. Congratulations, you hugged a boy. Eddie can feel Billy roll his eyes.

“You don’t get it.”

There’s nothing to get, because nothing actually happened. Because somehow you both fucked up something as simple as kissing.

Eddie laughs, “you mad Billy? Mad you didn’t get to make out with Harrington?”

Fuck off. I don’t give a shit.

“Uh hu,” Billy is finally quiet. He leaves Eddie alone, lets him grin up at the clean ceiling from his clean new bed, in the room Steve set up for him. Filled with the things Steve went out of his way to save from the old trailer. There’s no beeping here, no hospital smells, he’s warm and comfortable and he’s full of Steve’s casserole and mashed potatoes.

The scent of Steve’s aftershave lingering in his nose, on his cheek.

They were going to kiss, Eddie’s pretty sure they were. They were both so close, heads tilted and eyes wide, but someone twitched wrong, something happened, both of them simultaneously sublimating whatever it was they were doing into a hug instead. Steve’s arms wrapped carefully around Eddie’s middle, conscious of the still healing wounds, his face tucked carefully against Eddie’s neck, ‘never done anything with a guy before.’ The whispered confession from Steve Harrington, the soft lips and sharp stubble against Eddie’s neck.

A confession that means he was going to do something with a guy. Or at least was interested in doing something with a guy, and that guy was, presumably, Eddie.

An incredible turn of events, really.

‘Never done anything with anyone,’ Eddie had whispered back, earning himself a snort of a laugh. God natured though. Happy.

‘We can go slow.’

And Steve had left with a big sappy smile and a dorky little finger tip wave and a promise they would hang out tomorrow.

Eddie sighs. Then grabs a pillow so he can scream into it. And then he’s kind of just grinning, laughing a little, he’s just so fucking happy.

Jesus christ, you fuck ups are actually made for each other.

“I hope so.”

What is this we’re doing now.

Eddie ignores him, sets up his DM shield, his books, his dice. Unpacks his pencils, his notes. Eddie always plays it fast and loose, he’s got a vague plan sure. As long as he knows the plan and the motivations of the bad guys, everything else falls into place pretty easily.

So this is the nerd thing you’ve been planning for.

He wants this one to be good; first game with Will the Wise present, after all. Steve’s in the kitchen, left Eddie to set up the finishing touches. They’re going to hang out and watch a movie once all the kids have gone, and Eddie’s pretty sure he couldn’t have planned a more perfect day if he tried. Steve’s even making them snacks. He’s done something to the dining room table to make it even bigger, unfolding some extra hidden bit of wood to make it longer; wild rich people shit.

The bell tolls; the kids are at the door, and Eddie can’t suppress his joy at having all the kids here together, everyone alive and well. Well, except for Max, which is shitty, but all the kids are going to go and visit her after this, so that’ll be nice for her.

He wants to prance to the front door, leap and skip and play he’s so buzzing with excitement for this, but one single hop is enough for his body to remind him, pretty sharply, that he is absolutely not ready for that sort of nonsense just yet, so he walks instead.

Jesus christ, this kid is a straight up savage.

Lady Applejack stares Eddie down over his DM shield.

Could have done with her against the Mindflayer.

“I’m going to attack.”

Of course she is.

Eddie claps joyously, “everyone roll for initiative.”

Eddie’s standing now, can’t possibly just sit with all this going on, “and that is a hit, his mighty war hammer crashing into your armor with a resounding smack, for one D10 of damage…”

“Dustin,” Mike hisses, “how much health do you even have?”

Dustin shakes his head, worried, but doesn’t answer. Lucas is hanging onto Dustin's shoulder, looking down at Dustin’s character sheet. Eddie’s dice clatters on the table behind the DM shield, Lucas signals ‘five’ to will with his fingers.

The whole table collectively holds it’s breath as Eddie watches his die roll and settle on a nine. “It’s a glancing blow! Your armor must absorb some of the hit as you take four points of damage!”

Eddie, no, don’t lie. Kill the little shit-you're too soft on them.

Will immediately starts on his turn, so excited, “I cast Cure Light Wounds!”

Of course he does.

Why is this taking them so long?

The most simplistic puzzles are the best.

Literally all the have to do is match the colors. I can’t believe how dumb they are.

Eddie does his best to hold in the snort. Doesn’t quite succeed and earns a scathing look from Erica. Yep. They are over thinking it a little.

Watching them struggle is the fun. They’ll get it in a minute.

They sit and listen to the kids argue a little longer, coming up with wilder and wilder theories on how to solve what is the simplest color match game Eddie could come up with.

Baldie is staring at us.

Don’t call her that, Eddie’s reply is reflexive, but Billy is right. El is watching them.

Eddie isn’t surprised when she lingers. Deliberately makes it so that she’s the last standing on the porch. The boys shot off on their bikes, but El, Mike and the ferocious Lady Applejack are hitching a ride with Nancy.

She waves to him through the wind shield, then turns, talking to Mike.

“Do you talk to him?”

No preamble. Just those big fucking eyes looking up at Eddie. Knowing. A little kid should not look like that.

“Yeah, all the time.” In his mind, Billy is still and quiet. Watching warily.

“Is he alright?”

“He’s still a massive dick, so, I guess so, yeah.”

“Does Max know?”

She cuts right to the heart of it, this kid, “she’s the only one who knows.”

She nods, “for now,” and then leaves, running to get in the car without a care in the world.

She’s terrifying.

Kylar: Stinky, malnourished, black-haired twink. Wears a lot of clothing with stripes. Has a lot of bandages all over his body due to wounds, both self-inflicted and whatnot. Somewhat of a mullet. A half-mullet if you will. A big ole ahoge sticking outta his head. Really small pupils in contrast to Cecile's big buggy ones. Mostly wears baggy clothing to hide his small form. Winterwear consists of one singular dusty, scruffy black coat. Very defined eyebags and dark circles.

Sydney: Hair is curly and sticks out at the end. Long enough to reach her butt. P!Syd wears it in a low ponytail with a yellow scrunchie. C!Syd has the scrunchie on her wrist. Chubby AND tall. Kinda has a Roze Quartz build from SU if you squint. STRETCH MARKS ON HER ASS, STRETCH MARKS ON HER THIGHS, AND STRETCH MARKS ON HER TUMMY. P!Syd also has eyebags, but C!Syd doesn't. Has some French on dad's side. Wears a lot of knitted stuff.

Whitney: Spikey hair, par for the course. His fringe is over his right eye. Not jock-y enough for me to imagine him with longer hair, so short hair Whit it is. Not buff or whatever, just lean. Piercings. Slightly tanned skin. Voice is real sandy from chainsmoking. Like Kylar, Whit also has small pupils. Favors outerwear. Leather jacket leather jacket leather jacket.

Robin: Soft brown 3b hair. Doesn't braid (as if she can even afford it), just let it flows, but cuts it to underneath her shoulder just a bit. Hair texturee is similar to Cotton Candy Garnet from SU. Plump body shape. Robin's sundress is shaped a bit different from Cecile's sundress. Pastel purple, short bell sleeves, low-cut and high waisted. Clothing almost always have a floral pattern. Queen of tuck.

Alex: Mayor of Butchtropolis here. You know Applejack from MLP? Yeah. Hair is probably shoulder-length but done up in one of those low ponytails that sticks out at the end. Straw in her mouth kinda girl. Freckles. Red-flannel shirt that's tired into a knot near the end and a wife-beater underneath. Jeans are patched every where. Prolly part-Irish.

Avery: My beautiful Desi wife. Has one of those wavy hairstyles that's cut around the shoulders that just screams evil rich MIL(F). Outfit has layers, multiple. Work clothes is a blouse + a jacket she throws on her shoulder connected by a golden chain + a long peplum skirt. Sapphire & silver.

Eden: Facial hair ranges between a beard and stubble, depending on my mood. It's not just a bush, it's the whole fucking rainforest. Three claw marks on his back. Top surgery scars spell out his name if you're high enough. Lots of scars on other places. Inside his ramshackle hunting coat is a sewn-up pocket. Inside the pocket is a letter between him and Bailey from all the way back then.

(Some of these are a bit old and have been sitting in my notes, so I may to provide some context for them. Also, yes, they’re slightly long. I know. I think about this show to much)

Sun’s eyes are damaged and his vision appears much dimmer ever since the “nightmare” with the creator, though he hasn’t told Moon because he hadn’t at first due to the suddenness and didn’t want Moon to think he was just hiding it, so he thought it was too late to tell him anyways

Nexus has an applejack plush (Bought it to match the Applejack sticker he has with Solar back when he was New Moon)

Dark Sun likes humming nursery rhymes that he still remembers from the daycare

Ruin’s arms kept their glowing function from his old body

Taurus was almost completely oblivious to Lunar and Gemini’s courtship, but when Gemini was upfront about it, he was supportive and willing to help however he could

Frank being in the new dimension was partially the reason for Eclipse’s nightmare of being stuck in Sun’s head again. After that, Francis snuck into Eclipse’s lab when he was asleep to stay near him and give him positive dreams

The Gemini twins sometimes give Lunar little space rocks as gifts

Eclipse commonly forgets he’s not a part of Moon anymore and sometimes accidentally refers to himself as “Moon” or responds to it. Early Eclipse accidentally went into Moon’s room often instead of Sun’s because he got confused when he was posing as Sun (still has the memories of being Moon)

Nexus never takes Solar’s old goggles off. In turn, Solar has a box of Nexus’s old stuff that Sun gave to him

Sun, Solar, Monty, and Earth play Dress to Impress together in their spare time

Sven made gifts for all of the Celestial family and is saving them until he can find a special occasion to give them to them all (Christmas, a birthday, etc.). He’s having trouble with the dates because of the time differences between dimensions

Nebula is a lesbian and doesn’t know it

Dazzle likes to make drawings for Sun, who’ll hang them on the fridge. One time, Sun wasn’t there and she showed it to Moon first instead. Moon loved the drawing, but instead of hanging it on the fridge, chose to take a magnet and stick it on Sun’s face as soon as Sun got home as a harmless prank

Jack really likes crows and to chase them around, but they run and fly away from him because he’s too erratic and he looks like a scarecrow

Jack was skeptical of Jack O’ Lanterns and pumpkin carving at first because he’s based off a pumpkin, but Lunar and Dazzle managed to convince him it’s fine. Dazzle and Jack tried to carve each other, though Jack chose to stalk Sun for the rest of the day since Dazzle also added Sun on hers

Eclipse is claustrophobic because of the memories of being in Sun’s head

While Earth and Eclipse were at Walmart buying their puzzle, Earth chose to show and name off all the flowers they had there to Eclipse

After the events of Earth’s BETRAYAL! in VRChat (clickbait title for anyone who didn’t yet watch it, I swear), Taurus began to become more comfortable with Earth. Earth took this opportunity to teach Taurus more of the English languages, including sign language

Dark Sun doesn’t get offended by people portraying him with a tooth gap like Sun does

Ruin likes humming or singing to himself while he works, which helps as a stress reliever or a coping mechanism. However, while working for Dark Sun and Nexus, he wasn’t been allowed to do that and was more stressed than ever, which is why he seems so much more stoic when he worked for Nâo than working for Nexus

Eclipse and Sun are both scared of the dark, but pretend not to be

Sun can’t look at flames without seeing Nexus’s death flash in front of his eyes

Sun’s fire magic acts up when he has a nightmare about Nexus and he sometimes wakes up with flames around him or his bedding burnt

The reason that Taurus was initially more mad at Lunar than Gemini when they found out about Lunar’s little deal with Rez is because Lunar’s situation almost felt like when Cetus betrayed them too, which meant reliving losing his best friend

Ruin wears silk clothes. Due to this, he’s constantly slipping off stuff when he leans against something or sits down

Sun has accidentally called Moon or any of his other brothers “bro bro” before because Nexus kept saying it in his dreams

Eclipse’s rays are damaged after his whole thing with the Thanksgiving episode (being turned into the Dorito bag. There’s no way he didn’t damage himself during that)

Sun/Sollux (from What if Moon NEVER EXISTED?! In VRChat) still watches the SAMS and misses Moon

Old Lunar drew pictures of him and Bloodmoon together. The pictures were destroyed in the explosion from Bloodmoon and Ruin Show 

Solar can sometimes catch glimpses of the dead ever since coming back from the dead himself. This is how he so easily contacted the ghost that pestered Sun and Moon

Eclipse V4 can’t remember the majority of the Eclipse and Lunar Show show, neither could V3, which is the reason he’s so different than V1 was.

Eclipse V2 still had the save files from Lunar’s alchemist game after Eclipse and Lunar Show. They were destroyed in the bunkers explosion 

Lord Eclipse and Moon both got distracted by Lord Eclipse twirling his Star around out of boredom when they first met

Eclipse and Lunar sometimes go back to rewatch Eclipse and Lunar Show episodes, separately trying to remember the good parts so they can get over their hatred of each other or thinking of what they could have done differently

The real reason that Moon is decommissioning his computer that predicts different outcomes is because of Solar catching him on that one What if him and Monty were dating video

Moon told Sun to ask Atlas was his favorite sandwich is so he could make it for him in return for getting them out of their little vacation fiasco and when Sun asked, Atlas was confused by the prospect of a sandwich. When Moon found out he’d never had one before, he made Atlas an entire stack of different kinds of sandwiches and sent them with Sun

Alright here's a short version of how I'd fix Bride of Discord. As a sort of mental editing exercise.

While not really a good fic for a lot of reasons, Bride of Discord actually has a lot of potential as a story. There's a lot of great imagery, and it has a lot of fic tropes I like and are fun to read. I actually would probably change less than some people would. (If your "rewrite" doesn't keep any of the original anything, it's not actually a rewrite babes)

It's just that a lot of stuff in it is maybe played from the wrong angle.

Also there's no saving the Applejack/Spike thing. That's just gross. I think you could keep a similar subplot, just change it so AJ's crushing on someone else. I like AppleDash, but RariJack would probably work the best here. Maybe in this version she's afraid to confess bc she thinks Rarity is straight since she's so femme.

As for the main couple, I think you could actually make the demanding a wife thing work, just have it play out differently.

Like, Discord is old. He spent a lot of time as a statue, and might not be up to date on modern society. Maybe instead of it being a VERY creepy request that screams "sex slavery" make his request explicitly a somewhat less creepy political marriage.

That was common back in his day, and he IS trying to make a peace treaty with Twilight. Being married to one of her people is a show of good faith, that she won't go back on her word, and he won't go back on his, as well as metaphorically uniting their kingdoms.

He doesn't care who it is, because he's not intending to fall in love with them. At best they're gonna be an extended house guest.

They can even point out that's dated and weird, but he can also counter he doesn't know how else to get a proper show of trust. He doesn't trust them with his own safety, but he does trust they won't go after one of their own.

That could also play into why he's so insistent they get married already. Fluttershy trying to avoid the marriage once she's in his kingdom makes it feel like he's being set up, and like the treaty is tenuous. Or maybe he's even suspicious that she's avoiding because the ponies don't plan to stick to their deal.

That could even factor int the climax, but I'll get there.*

Discord can be lonely, and he can still also be a little desperate for companionship, but I don't think that should be his reason for the marriage. Otherwise he could've just asked for a companion, not a wife. Plus, I feel like per-reformation Discord would be in denial about being lonely. I think he'd only start to realize how much he's been missing out on until AFTER he's gotten to know Flutters.

*So in the climax, Fluttershy declares she doesn't love him bc her friends are badgering her, and he gets creepy possessive and tries to hypnotize her and there's a fight and what-not.

Yeah, instead of that what if it's his paranoia that she's avoiding getting married because they plan to betray him coming to a head?

He hears Fluttershy say something to her friends that out of context sounds like they're going to blast him back into stone after all. So he's think she's a traitor who played him for a fool.

I'd nix the hypnotism, just have him and the six fight it out, and then he kicks everyone out before Fluttershy can explain because he's heartbroken and doesn't want anyone to see.

Lot of minor fixes I'd throw in too, cutting out plot threads that go nowhere. Less heteronormativity. Fixing a LOT of OOC-ness. A LOT.

Oh and I'd change Discord's backstory too. The Megamind rip off thing is meh, and I think Discord's a character you could do a lot more interesting things with that that.

As for Fluttershy, a huge problem I have with this fic is she lacks real agency. I want her to choose to go with Discord, not out of the weird sense of feeling she has to sacrifice herself. (It comes off, for lack of a better word, suicidal.)

Maybe instead, she chooses to go because despite her shyness, she's bold when it matters. She will stand up to him. She's not going to be afraid of him anymore. She's gonna tame him like every other wild animal she's had to deal with, and save her home in the process. She's going to come back. He can't keep her there if she really decided to leave.

Have her be the Fluttershy who tried and failed to use her stare on him.

Also, in the original I never at any point felt like she fell in love with him. Just that she gave up resisting his advances. She's always wary and hesitant to do anything with him. That's fine for the beginning of their relationship, but for this to be a good love story that has to change at some point.

Where's the moment she realizes she finds him a little attractive actually? He's weird looking, but he's so confident and funny and fun and that's really appealing. Where's the part where she's having fun and forgets she's a prisoner? Where's the real bonding? Setting boundaries?

Maybe she convinced Discord to let her friends visit, not because she's marrying him already, but because she convinces him to try to make other friends. And he does it, because he loves her already at this point. And she thinks if he and her friends could get along, they could work thing out. Maybe she was hoping things would go well so she could tell him she wanted to marry him after all.

Maybe she really did want her friends at her wedding, but also to be able to have her parents, her brother.

This last bit has nothing to do with the author's writing. This fic was originally written before the show ended, and we got a lot of lore afterwards she couldn't have known about. That's not her fault she couldn't see the future. But just for my sanity, I'd add in more cannon lore.

And uh. I guess that's all got with what I remember of it. Yeah.

This concept is essentially a recap/aftermath concept.

By this time the Mane Six are infected, Rarity eventually succumbing just like the rest of them.

So now you have six overprotective/possessive ponies surrounding you wherever you go.

I imagine they originally fight with one another, assuming one is going to hurt you.

We've seen something similar in the Rainbow and Pinkie concepts.

Although... eventually they realize they all like you just as much.

They vaguely know it's due to the virus but they can barely focus on anything else right now.

The virus drives them all closer to you... so to soothe all their desperation, they agree to share.

We see this in the Cadance concept which was meant as a loose continuation.

They're like a pack, six infected ponies all animalistic in nature.

They aren't like themselves anymore.

They've neglected themselves... They're nearly feral...

By the conclusion of this curse, Ponyville is a messy wasteland.

Twilight is barely even able to comprehend what she's done... She wanted you all to herself...

This isn't your fault...

This is hers.

However... Even with her personal feelings and the virus flooding her system... She doesn't mind sharing.

If Twilight were to share her beloved with anypony, it would be the Mane Six.

They... sorta have their same hobbies.

Twilight speaks to you of spells she's reading, you silently hope she's looking for a cure but you doubt it.

Fluttershy takes you on walks through the woods, although the animals keep running from the both of you....

Applejack and Pinkie Pie both try to make you food to care for you.

Rainbow Dash acts as a bodyguard, racing around to make sure no pony gets any ideas.

All while Rarity makes you little outfits like usual.

They all love you, they all play their part...

But you don't see them as your friends anymore.

By the end of this journey you're exhausted, you've given up.

You've accepted the fact you're a Harbinger of obsession and disease.

You want to resent Twilight... But you can't hate all of them.

Twilight may have caused it... Yet you made it worse.

Perhaps this is what you deserve.

To be surrounded by destruction and the obsessive desires of your friends.

You don’t consider them friends... Or anything more.

You want this all to end but wherever you go... The curse follows.

You feel tethered to Ponyville.

After all... If you don't stay here, you'll only cause more trouble.

You tolerate it... Even though you hate it...

You want other ponies safe... So you listen and stay away from other ponies.

Does every weapon has a guardian/trial/both?

Not all of them have an explicit challenge, some of them (like Luna's sword/Villain's weapons) have gone missing, while others (Celestia's sword/Cadence's sword) already have owners who weild them.

The elements of harmony on the other hand...

Each element DOES have a trial! They're very powerful, not to mention that they've been 'destroyed' before (though they always come back). Better to be safe than sorry. I don't have a clear idea for each, but I'll put down what I'm thinking...

Fluttershy

As discussed, her shield is guarded by Discord. Might seem silly to only have 1 person guarding it, but that's only if you don't know who Discord is. You need to prove your capacity for kindness and emotional intelligence.

Rainbow Dash

To enter Rainbow Dash's test, you have to have people you consider friends by your side. Then there's a timed trial, where they have to get to the case where the dagger is held, or lose it forever. When someone does get to the end, something will happen to their friends. That someone will have to choose between the dagger and their friends.

If they do take the dagger (which is fake), they lose and something terrible happens to the pony who took it. If they go save their friends, all of them are saved and the real dagger is revealed to them. You need to prove your loyalty, and that you're not power hungry.

Rarity

Rarity's test first seems that of a beauty pageant. Probably has something to do with mirrors, gems and gold. But, underneath it, the one who gives up what they want most for others is the one bestowed Rarity's helm. You need to prove selflessness and generosity.

Applejack

Probably occurs where the apple farm used to be, and may be guarded by the descendents of the apple family. A "No one will know if you do the wrong thing, are you still willing to do the right one regardless?" test. Might be set up by the family? You need to prove honesty, but also integrity.

Pinkie Pie

Twilight Sparkle

Twilight's element isn't hard to find. She's hidden where her old library used to be. It takes a bit of cleverness to find the right switch, but you can do so easily. The real issue is that she won't wake up. All the powers and magic she gives you will not activate until she does so. And the only way to wake her is to find the other elements of harmony and bring them all together. Even then, you won't gain full access to what she can do right away. You need to prove, time and time again, that you're worthy of the element of friendship.

Wait if rainbowdash was fast and brave and bold and daring before the infection...wouldn't they turn cowardly and slow and fearful and terrified after infection? Yaknow since that's the complete opposite of her? Like at first, she starts being more cautious and careful and ponies think that's good until it goes extreme?

I haven’t made one of these in a while! Introducing Rainbow Slash, an infected version of Rainbow Dash!

She is paranoid of anything and everyone, and will sacrifice anypony to guarantee her safety.

Previously known as Rainbow Dash. I chose "Slash" because..well, it started with her refusing to do any of her more dangerous stunts. That was already unusual, but then, after about a week, she refused to fly at all. She would panic and buck in the air, often crashing into other ponies to save herself from hitting the ground.

Then, she would start to panic about even the most harmless of noises, objects, animals...even other ponies. She even mowed down some of Applejack's trees because "an apple could hit her"! And believe me, I know about unnecessary panicking, but this is just ridiculous! Her main goal seems to be keeping herself safe... no matter what the cost. Or WHO the cost.

Now, she wanders around the abandoned town square, using others as shields for the more aggressive of the infected. Right now, she isn't very powerful, but l hate to think what the next stage of the illness will do to her - especially as one of the guardians of the elements. Her speed and strength is already so great...

I shudder to imagine.

This is a weird thing to say 6 years too late, but sometimes I think about how Discord was pretty much reformed for nothing.

In "Keep Calm and Flutter On", Celestia's whole reason for wanting Discord redeemed in the first place was because she thought his abilities would be useful to them which you could argue is kinda manipulative but that's a whole other discussion and honestly her entire thing

And yet, from that point on, he never contributes towards resolving any large-scale conflict that he wasn't at least somewhat responsible for in the first place!

The Pony of Shadows? The Storm King? Cozy Glow (at first)? He didn't do squat.

The conflicts he did help resolve? They were either entirely his fault or he actively made them worse!

"Oh, but what about the season 6 finale", you say?

Whilst the conflict wasn't his fault in any way, nor was it his fault he couldn't use his powers to save the day, it doesn't change the fact that all he did was act as a distraction (something that Trixie points out shouldn't have even worked) before subsequently getting captured.

I hate to say it, but in hindsight, they probably would have been fine, possibly better off even, if they had just left him in stone.

Side note - I swear Applejack in particular always had beef (be it one-sided or not) with this guy.

Mane 6

First Row: Twilight; Fluttershy; Rainbow Dash

Second Row: Rarity; Applejack; Pinkie Pie

Twilight was a full blooded Unicorn, but became a Created Alicorn; Fluttershy is half Unicorn, half Pegasus; Rainbow Dash is a full blooded Pegasus; Rarity is half Shadow Pony, half Unicorn; AJ is a full blooded Bucker (larger Earth Pony); Pinkie is a half Shortie (smaller Earth Pony), half Pegasus.

Twi is still the normal, slightly neurotic mess with Autism we all know and love.

Fluttershy kept a lot of bat-like features after being turned into Flutterbat, namely her hair pattern and teeth. She can also see in the dark better than most other Ponies.

Rainbow Dash hasn't really changed much, beyond being transmasc now.

Rarity's mother and biological father met when their mother was in college, and for a while, it was great. But when Rarity was young, their father was discovered to be a Shadow Pony and killed, as people still view them with great distrust after Sombra's reign. A few years later, Rarity's mother met Sweetie Bell's father, and started a relationship, with Sweetie Bell being born a couple years later. Rarity's stepfather treats her like his own, and vice versa.

Applejack still has her siblings, her grandmother, and her farm, though now also has her parents! AJ and Big Mac are only a couple years apart (with AJ being the younger by two years). Apple Bloom was a surprise kid, and borderline geriatric for Pear Butter. While the pregnancy went well, the birth nearly killed both Pear and Bloom, and left Pair physically disabled. This lead to Pear being in and out of the hospital for PT and surgeries, though by the time the show starts, she's at the end of these.

Pinkie Pie also has her siblings, though she is the brightest colored of them all, due to her Pegasus side. She doesn't have a twin sister, as all of her siblings are older than she is. Her father, after the last sibling, Marble, was born, was revealed to have cancer, and had to go through chemo, which left him sterile. They both wanted one more kid, and agreed to go through IVF, which gave them Pinkie. The whole family knows, and in the best of ways, doesn't care. Pinkie isn't the only one of her siblings to leave the nest, with everyone but Limestone out and living different lives.

Sky Siblings

Celestia and Lunar are both Born Alicorns. Instead of becoming Nightmare Moon due to jealousy, Lunar was infected by the magic of Shadow Ponies after the fight with Sombra. The battle between the siblings lead to half of Canterlot being destroyed, and the city becoming the cliff-side metropolis it is today.

Celestia doesn't involve herself with most battles nowadays not because she is afraid of losing, but because she would accidentally level half of Equestria if she did. Lunar is much the same.

Crystal Royalty

Cadence was a half Deer, half Pegasus, who is now a Created Alicorn. Sombra is half Shadow Pony, quarter Unicorn, quarter Bucker.

Cadence hasn't really had much change to her story, beyond Flurryheart being a Born Alicorn, much like the Sky Siblings. Her magic does wax and wane depending on where her antlers are in their growth cycle.

Sombra's mother, the original Shadow Pony, a being made of mostly dark crystal, had him with a Pony, not caring for anything other than he was a Unicorn. This lead to Sombra getting most of his physical attributes from his father.

Andromedian

Andro or, more often, Andy for short, was a pure blooded Unicorn, and distant relative to Radiant Hope, the Unicorn that saved Sombra so many years ago. He was born a mare, which never quite fit, nor did the demands that he follow in Hope's footsteps as a healer. Thus, he went into school to become an art therapist, and finding a way to transition.

He did, with a spell that clarified that so long as the magical artifact was dead, it would be fine. He used Sombra's horn, which did successfully change him into a colt, but it backfired quite significantly, bringing back Sombra and changing Andy into a Pegasus. Along with causing a massive explosion that was believed to be on purpose.

Notes and other fun things:

Shadow Ponies, as mentioned above, are not only something that exists beyond Sombra, but are living about as "normal" Ponies! They have to hide their true appearance, and only show them to ponies they assume won't harm them. When Sombra took rule, a group of them jumped ship and fled.

Celestia and Lunar looking more like Earth Ponies and Unicorns respectively was on purpose. Celestia was basically the Earth Ponies' God, with Lunar being the same for Unicorns. When Lunar fell to his illness, and then was defeated and put into isolation on the moon, many Earth Ponies turned on Unicorns, believing that they "all had the chance to turn like him". Celestia opened the Unicorn school due to this, showing that she defended and trusted Unicorns.

Pegasi view themselves as on equal, or at least similar, grounds to the Sky Siblings, due to them not being stuck on the ground.

Twilight, while one of the easier ones to figure out a rough color palette for, was actually hard to get settled into what I wanted for her extra star markings.

Rarity's hair was an interesting challenge for me. I knew I wanted her to have 4C hair, and to be loose and free with it, but drawing it was something I'd never really done before. Thank you references, and I hope I didn't fuck it up too badly.

Pinkie's hair was also a fun and interesting challenge. I knew I wanted her to have some sort of chunky braid, and settled on bubble braids. And then I went "Pinkie needs to be bouncing". Figuring out the physics was a lotta fun.

For a fun little thing, I put Celestia and Pinkie on the canvas alone, just to see the difference between the largest and smallest of the ponies. And holy shit, that difference.

rainbow dash is part of the search and rescue team. she searches for anypony unable to defend themselves from the infected. she also takes a headcount of those infected and reports them to celestia and luna. one day, she unexpectedly has a crash landing in the everfree forest and hasn’t been seen since

*Almost done with the pony-spam, I promise lmao* -Here's some girlies I've been meaning to introduce here for the loooongest time; a core lineup of M6 daughters from my own personal/main NG-AU (also known as the "Diamond-Verse")~ 💜🌈.

Not sure how often I'll draw/do much with these six save for the refs I made for them here, but its been a blast to finally design them out nonetheless (esp since some of them I had in the back of my mind for years😭). -Glitter Hollow, young adult unicorn daughter of Twilight Sparkle & Tempest Shadow. Born with the special talent of potion-brewing, Glitter's always had a curious spark to explore and experiment more with the world around her… to the extent of getting herself into more trouble than its worth at times ^^;. Even if this may make her a bit "ditzy" to some, Glitter's got her heart in the right place to spread her own brand of knowledge to help others (as her mama Twilight's done💜), no matter how unconventional the method may be. Has an older brother (Night Shade) alongside a lil sister (Ruby Star). Bears the Element of Loyalty.

-Suncrisp Blaze, young adult pegasus daughter of Applejack & Rainbow Dash. Born with the special talent of gardening and breeding new flowers, Suncrisp's known as one of the chillest lil ladies on the block of Sweet Apple Acres. A real "big sis"-figure to her friends, Suncrisp's always down to lend them a listening ear if any need to get their mind off things, even treating some to a spa-day session with her own love for pampering (contrasting well to her more down-to-earth/tomboyish mamas). Has 2 brothers (Jonagold & Blitz Zapp) and a sister (Pazazz). Bears the Element of Kindness.

-Red Velvet, young adult unicorn daughter of Rarity & Fluttershy. Born with the special talent of literary arts, Velvet's creative mind is as limitless as the world around her… if she ever learned to nudge out of the comfort of her cozy, candlelit bedroom. A dramatic one she can be once she gets hooked on particular story ideas, but also quite the compassionate one when thinking of potential social bonds (particularly of the romantic kind, as her friends can annoyingly attest to~). Has one older brother (Dandelion). Bears the Element of Honesty.

-Songbird Pearl, young adult hippogriff daughter of Pinkie Pie & Skystar. Born with the special talent of underwater singing, Pearl's grown to be… very much the opposite of her goofy, ever-energetic mothers. Fancying the more "well-to-do" life of royalty and graceful oceans, Pearl hopes to find her calling while exploring the boundless waves around her. Uptight & snarky as she can be while surrounded by so many "colorful" folks… when push comes to shove, Pearl can truly be a devoted friend no one would want to mess with. Is the oldest of several little sisters. Bears the Element of Generosity.

-Hope Flare, young adult pegasus daughter of Sunset Shimmer & Flash Sentry (EQG-verse). Born with the special talent of fire-based flight (or in the human world equivalent, skateboarding tricks), Hope's always had an eager view on seeing more of the magical, colorful pony world her mother's always told her about at bedtime. Having proven quite the "spunky" one (both by her old Canterlot High classmates and her new pony friends), Hope's got the spark in her feet to keep on going to see what adventure awaits her. Has one older brother (Sunspark) and one younger brother (Firebolt). Bears the Element of Laughter.

-Moonstone, young adult unicorn daughter of Starlight Glimmer & Blueblood. Born with the special talent of gemstone crafting, Moonstone's life has been… well, rather limited on account of her upbringing. A sheltered, often-sickly only child with both parents coddling her alot (whether it was Blueblood nudging Moonstone to be a "proper" noble like him, and/or Starlight trying (lovingly) to push her daughter as a magic prodigy), Moonstone's deepest wish has always been just to have her own chance for freedom, adventure and friendships of her own. Finally getting that chance out on her own has proven… a lil on the scary side, for such a timid little lady. But with the help of her newfound friends (and childhood bestie Luster Dawn), Moonstone's determination is bound to prove stronger than any diamond she's crafted with. Bears the Element of Magic.

More for my rewrite with Starlight

Starlight of course gets pissed when Twilight and her friends basically cause the downfall of her cult and immediately chooses to take it out on the princess. Starlight fails to actually hurt Twilight and instead Starlight suffers injuries by Rainbow Dash and Applejack. She then vows revenge on the mane 6 for destroying what she built.

Eventually during the Cutie Re-mark segment, Starlight nearly kills Twilight but stops as she remembers a time during her childhood where her friend, Sunburst, saved her. Starlight saves the alicorn by using what's left of her magic and starts to realize what she's done. Twilight tries to comfort Starlight even in her injured state and manages to help Starlight choose the brighter path. They had a magic duel that's why their horns are burnt btw
