From writing today -
“At least it’s all in the past now," said Saul. "I’m trying to…forget about it as much as possible. But… I can’t forget all of it, or I won’t remember what you did….”
“Try not to think about it," said Tasha. "I know we need to face it… but we also need to heal. Think of other things. To dwell on it--” Empathy mingled with deep pain shadowed her eyes, and Connie suspected she wasn’t speaking of the more recent trauma anymore. "--will just take you down a dark path. Revel in the beauty of the world… of what you have now. Don’t give them an inch of space you don’t have to. They’re not worth it. Don’t let them twist your heart. Don’t let them drag you into darkness. You’ve escaped—they didn’t keep you, so don’t stay in their prison. Be here, now. Glory in the real world, much more real than the trauma they branded you with. You can’t entirely get away from it… but as much as you can, love the real world more than you hate what they did to you.” She took a trembling breath.
He looked at her with deep gratitude, a piercing sympathy. He nodded, as if he couldn’t trust himself to speak.
She pressed a hand to his shoulder, and he didn’t flinch.
Jealousy flashed through Leila’s eyes. Then it was replaced by sorrow.

Gaza Belongs to Israel
Jonathan Brentner - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/
As I was reading through the book of Genesis last month, I noticed something that speaks directly to one of the hottest topics of our day. In Genesis 26:2-4, we have the record of the Lord reiterating the Abrahamic Covenant to Isaac:
“And the Lord appeared to him [Isaac} and said, ‘Do not go down to Egypt; dwell in the land of which I shall tell you. Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father. I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.”
What makes this so intriguing is the location God chose to affirm His promise of the Land in which He would later include Jacob and all of his descendants.
“Now there was a famine in the land, besides the former famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar to Abimelech king of the Philistines” (Genesis 26:1).
Do you see it? Isaac was in the land of the Philistines when the Lord appeared and told him not to leave the Land that He promised to Abraham and his “offspring.” This is the only recorded instance of the Lord directly including Isaac in the everlasting covenant of the Land (see also Psalm 105:7-11), and it happened while the Patriarch was in Philistia, or what we know today as Gaza.
The Philistines became a thorn in Israel’s side before and during the forty-year reign of King Saul; the Jewish people suffered greatly from their vicious and cruel attacks. King David later subdued them and incorporated their territory along the Mediterranean Sea into his kingdom.
More recently, Satan created Hamas to oppose Israel similar to how the Philistines treated Israel so long ago. These Arabs are not descendants of this ancient people that have long since vanished, but just like them, Hamas possesses a fierce and murderous hatred toward the Jewish people. And they live in the exact same area that the Philistines inhabited in ancient times.
President Trump’s Plan
I began working on this article before President Trump announced his plan to remove all the current occupants of Gaza, take possession of it, and rebuild it into a resort similar to that of the French Riviera. At the February 4 news conference, he also voiced his opposition to a two-state solution as the way to peace in the region.
His statements most certainly came as welcome news for Israel. The clearing out of all their brutal and barbaric enemy from Gaza would remove a constant threat from their border. Even if the US governs it for the near future, it’s far better than the status quo.
The President, however, faces fierce opposition to his plan. First, no Arab nation wants the Gazans living within its borders. Egypt has amassed a host of tanks and other military forces close to its border with Gaza because, at least in part, it doesn’t want them entering their nation (and for good reason). According to Amir Tsarfati’s Telegram recent post, Jordan is ready to go to war with Israel if that’s what it takes to stop the Palestinians from migrating into their territory.
Second, the UN, along with nations such as Russia and Germany, have voiced strong, unrelenting opposition to Trump’s plan.
Third, Saudi Arabia maintains it won’t normalize diplomatic ties with Israel apart from the existence of a Palestinian State, which coincides with the world’s obsession with implementing a two-state solution, which most likely would retain Hamas’ control of Gaza.
So, is Trump’s plan dead in the water? Or did he have another purpose for making such a bold proposal?
Prophetic Implications
Regardless of what happens in the coming months or years with Gaza or the Middle East, the Bible says that someday the world’s passion to divide Israel and Jerusalem will prevail (Joel 3:1-3). Any agreement that brings peace to the region will be temporary at best until Jesus returns to set up His kingdom.
At the moment, a coalition of nations plan to meet at the United Nations in early June 2025 with the intent of settling on a Middle East peace accord of either a seven or ten-year duration. I believe it’s more than likely that they will somehow incorporate Saudi Arabia’s idea of a two-state solution into their proposed peace plan.
I don’t say this because I’m a pessimist or desire to see Trump’s bold initiatives fail. I do so because the Bible long ago predicted the world’s current obsession with Jerusalem, the dividing of the city and the Land, and the eventual peace accord between Israel and the antichrist (Zechariah 12:1-3; Daniel 9:27).
Sometime in the future, after the Rapture, the coming “man of lawlessness” will step out of the shadows and take over the reins of the Middle East peace negotiations. The Apostle Paul tells us that he cannot make his identity known until after Jesus’ appearing and our disappearing (2 Thessalonians 2:3-8).
I don’t know what will happen between now and the Rapture, but as I witness the turmoil and angst that exists over Gaza, I cannot overlook the significance of the Lord’s choice to confirm His Land covenant with Isaac while the Patriarch was residing in that exact same area.
Long ago, God staked His claim on Gaza, and when Jesus reigns over the nations (Revelation 20:1-10), it will become a place of great beauty. Perhaps during His millennial reign, with resurrection and immortal bodies, we will walk along its shores in amazement at how He transformed it into a place with such breathtaking views everywhere we look.

Sixam Royal Family, Gen 9, Part 4
Selvadorada/Ciudad de Enamorada (Independant)
When the jungles of Selvadorada were desecrated and destroyed by the previous Mother Plant Invasion, many rural villages were abandoned and families fled to stronger foundations. While some preferred to stay in their jungle home, others founded a place too dense for a Mother Plant to take root while looking for steamy romances.
Vista Hermana was a small town that soon found itself with a population it couldn't control. With the help of the Seindu Royal Family, construction of a bigger city began and the small residential village became the City of Love (Ciudad de Enamorada). The now bustling city is now not only the home to hookups, whirlwind dating and a small butterfly sanctuary, but it has become a secondary home for the rich and famous. Telenovellas are filmed here and many stars and starlets made their homes in the sprawling skyscrapers. It is quite the place to get noticed or find that certain someone in a hurry.

Oasis Springs (Faltal Industries, Braieforma)
The murder of Landgrave Balor Faltal brought Faltal Industries to a grinding halt, and the Braieforma Alliance stepped in to help their former friends find ground to stand on. The decision of company ownership was taken to next of kin: former Prince Valentine. He decided to liquidate the company and give the land and wealth back to the people of Oasis Springs. It was unanimously voted to give Oasis Springs back to the Braieforma Alliance to handle, and the desert town again settled back into being cozy neighborhoods.
Having lost his husband in the Sixth Invasion and feeling himself retreat into the depression his father and grandfather had felt, he found love again in Sulani with Hualani Seindu. The two worked through their pain of loss by working together to build a community and family they could be proud of. They adopted other orphaned children and had some of their own. Hualani even had her brother move in next door to help ease the financial burdens and bring Oasis Springs back in the black. So far, the strange little family has found a lot of joy and happiness in each other.
Meanwhile, Kalino Seindu found himself smitten with the nanny hired to help care for all of these children. Keiko Yamamoto was also working at her robotics degree in Foxbury Online, and with the help of the Seindu twins was able to get a small robotics factory off the ground. Yamamoto Corp seeks to make servos for those needing extra care at home, such as those with the Royal Condition.

Batuu (Independent)
Life on the frontier world of Batuu has been both relaxing and exciting! Life in the Hakzar outpost continues to be chaotic but colorful and productive. Kunal Hakzar must travel the stars alone after losing his brother, but has been coming closer and closer to discovering the origins of the Mother Plant.
Meanwhile, a mysterious man has come foreword to help Yashe Pilo-Hakzar hone her powers as a Jedi. Master Tulgi talks very little about himself but he has been instrumental in fighting the Mother Plant as well as providing information he's found on his travels. However, he's reluctant to partner with the Botanical Garden, without giving his reasons.

Canelo Alvarez: The Undisputed King Of Boxing
By: Joseph Correa
Canelo Alvarez: The Undisputed King of the Ring
In the neon-lit heart of Las Vegas, where dreams are made and broken in the blink of an eye, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez once again proved why he's the undisputed monarch of the boxing world. The Mexican superstar's latest conquest? A dominant victory over Edgar Berlanga, adding another jewel to his already glittering crown.
The Fight: A Display of Mastery
The air crackled with anticipation as the bell rang to signal the start of the bout. The crowd, a sea of red, white, and green - the colors of the Mexican flag - roared as their hero made his way to the ring. Berlanga, the young lion from Brooklyn with dynamite in his fists, entered with dreams of dethroning the king. But Canelo, as he has done time and time again, had other plans.
The fight was a masterclass in the sweet science. Canelo's footwork was poetry in motion, his defense impenetrable, and his offense surgically precise. In the third round, a left hook crashed into Berlanga's chin with the force of a freight train, sending the challenger to the canvas. The crowd erupted, their collective gasp turning into a thunderous cheer. It was a moment that encapsulated Canelo's career – power, timing, and technique, all rolled into one devastating punch.
Berlanga, to his credit, showed heart. He rose from the canvas, determination etched on his face, and adjusted his strategy. The Brooklyn native managed to hear the final bell, earning respect from both Canelo and the crowd. But the outcome was never in doubt. Canelo's victory was comprehensive, a unanimous decision that left no room for debate.
The Reign Continues
This victory marks Canelo's fourth consecutive win since his lone setback against Dmitry Bivol in 2022. At 34 years old, when many fighters begin to decline, Canelo seems to be aging like fine wine. His skills are sharper than ever, his ring IQ unmatched, and his hunger for greatness undiminished.
"Now what are they going to say?" Canelo asked defiantly in his post-fight interview, a mix of pride and frustration in his voice. "I fight younger fighters. They say I fight older fighters. They always talk. ... My experience, my talent, my hard work, my intelligence, everything together [makes me the best]."
Indeed, what more can be said about a man who has conquered four weight divisions, held multiple world championships, and consistently taken on all comers? Canelo's resume reads like a who's who of boxing's elite – Floyd Mayweather Jr., Gennadiy Golovkin, Miguel Cotto, Amir Khan, and now Edgar Berlanga. Each fight and victory has been another brick in the monument to his greatness.
The Road to Greatness
To truly appreciate Canelo's dominance, one must understand his journey. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Saul Alvarez began boxing at the tender age of 13. His distinctive red hair earned him the nickname "Canelo," Spanish for cinnamon. Little did anyone know that this redheaded teenager would grow to become one of the most feared and respected fighters in the world.
Canelo turned pro at 15, fighting grown men when most boys his age were worried about high school dances. He honed his craft in the unforgiving rings of Mexico, developing the granite chin, thunderous body shots, and relentless work ethic that would become his trademarks.
His ascent through the ranks was meteoric. By 20, he had captured his first world title. By 23, he faced the legendary Floyd Mayweather in a super fight that shattered pay-per-view records. Though he lost that night, Canelo used the experience as fuel, transforming himself from a good fighter into a great one.
The Future: New Challenges and Fan Demands
Even as Canelo basks in the glow of his latest triumph, new challenges loom on the horizon. The boxing world is abuzz with potential matchups that could further cement his legacy.
A rematch with Dmitry Bivol, the only man to defeat Canelo in recent years, is a tantalizing prospect. If Bivol can overcome the fearsome Artur Beterbiev in their upcoming light heavyweight unification bout, a second clash with Canelo could be one for the ages. The first fight saw Bivol outbox Canelo, handing him a rare defeat. A rematch would offer Canelo a chance at redemption and the opportunity to prove he can adapt and overcome a stylistic nightmare.
Then there's the intriguing possibility of a showdown with Terence Crawford, the pound-for-pound king of the welterweight division. Crawford, who was ringside for Canelo's victory over Berlanga, has made no secret of his desire to move up in weight and challenge the Mexican superstar.
"I feel like it's a legacy fight and I feel like it's a fight that I can actually win," Crawford said of a potential bout with Canelo. "I've always been a smaller guy. In every weight class that I ever competed in, everybody always said I was too small for this guy, too small for that guy, and I always been successful in the fight. Being bigger don't win fights. So my skills pay the bills and my skills got me this far."
A Canelo-Crawford fight would be a boxing purist's dream, pitting two of the sport's most skilled technicians against each other in a battle for supremacy. It would also offer Canelo a chance to prove he can handle an elite boxer with supreme skills, even if Crawford would be moving up in weight for the bout.
The People's Fight: The Clamor for Benavidez
However, there's another name on the lips of many boxing fans – David Benavidez, the undefeated former super middleweight champion known as the "Mexican Monster." With each passing fight, the clamor for a Canelo-Benavidez showdown has grown louder.
"Benavidez is the fight the fans want to see," says Jose Ramirez, a boxing trainer from Los Angeles. "He's young, he's undefeated, and he's got that Mexican style that would make for an all-out war with Canelo. It's the kind of fight that could define both men's legacies."
Social media has been ablaze with calls for the fight. One viral tweet read: "Canelo vs Benavidez. Make it happen. For the culture. For the fans. For boxing."
Benavidez himself has been vocal about wanting the fight. "I've earned my shot," he said in a recent interview. "I'm not afraid of Canelo. I respect him, but I believe I have what it takes to beat him. The fans deserve this fight."
For his part, Canelo has been noncommittal about a potential Benavidez bout. When asked about it in the post-fight press conference, he said, "I'll fight whoever my team thinks is the best option. I've never ducked anyone, and I never will."
This response has only fueled the debate among fans and pundits alike. Some see it as Canelo being strategic, while others interpret it as hesitation to face a younger, hungry challenger.
The Legacy of a Champion
As Canelo continues to etch his name in the annals of boxing history, comparisons to the all-time greats become inevitable. Is he the best Mexican fighter ever, surpassing legends like Julio Cesar Chavez and Salvador Sanchez? Has he already secured his place on boxing's Mount Rushmore alongside Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Roberto Duran?
These questions will be debated in bars, gyms, and living rooms for years to come. But what's undeniable is the impact Canelo has had on the sport. He's not just a fighter; he's a cultural icon, a source of pride for millions of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans, and a global superstar who transcends boxing.
In an era where many bemoan the decline of boxing, Canelo Alvarez stands as a beacon of hope. His combination of skill, power, and charisma harks back to the sport's golden ages, reminding us why they call it the sweet science.
The Human Behind the Champion
Behind the accolades and the championships, Canelo remains grounded. Those close to him speak of a man dedicated to his family, passionate about giving back to his community, and always striving to improve.
"People see the glamour, the titles, the money," says his longtime trainer, Eddy Reynoso. "But they don't see the 5 AM runs, the grueling sparring sessions, the sacrifices he makes every day. Canelo's success isn't an accident. It's the result of relentless dedication."
This dedication extends beyond the ring. Canelo has established foundations to help underprivileged youth in Mexico, providing educational and athletic opportunities. "I remember what it was like to have nothing," Canelo once said. "If I can help even one kid achieve their dreams, then all of this has been worth it."
The Reign Continues
As the sun sets on another victorious night in Las Vegas, one thing is clear: the reign of Canelo Alvarez is far from over. The king of the ring still sits firmly on his throne, daring anyone brave enough to try and take his crown. And for fight fans worldwide, that means many more nights of boxing brilliance.
In the ever-evolving saga of boxing, Canelo Alvarez continues to write new chapters, each more compelling than the last. Whether his next opponent is Bivol in a high-stakes rematch, Crawford in a clash of pound-for-pound greats, Benavidez in a fan-demanded showdown, or someone else entirely, one thing is sure – the boxing world will be watching, holding its collective breath, as the redheaded kid from Guadalajara steps into the ring once more.
Long may he reign. But as the calls for new challenges grow louder, particularly for a showdown with Benavidez, Canelo knows that to remain on top, he must continue to prove himself against the best. The next chapter in his storied career promises to be as thrilling as the last.

Hi! I'm writing a fic about a Jewish vampire (born in Judeah & currently living in Jerusalem) which takes place during the Crusades. The Crusades themselved are the background of the fic. So I'm wondering if you have any information/resources on how the Jewish population of the Kindom of Jerusalem/Palestine viewed the Crusades and the repeated invasion by either Christians and Muslims during that time. A lot of the information I found is very Christian vs Muslim centric and I'd like to have a Jewish perspective on the conflict.
Oh boy, do I ever. So many, in fact, that I have sorted them into several categories, and hope that at least some will be useful. Nota bene that you will need some kind of academic credentials to access the full text of some/most of these: there are some open-source pdfs and Google books, but yes, academia will be academia, alas. You may also have to do some investigation to pick out tidbits that are most relevant, but:

Oasis Springs (Faltal Industries)
The Landgrave's Manor/Braie Ancestral Home
Oasis Springs has become infamous for famously trading hands at least once a generation in-between the Braie family and the Faltal family. With Oasis Springs now completely under Faltal control, and with the Maximus Corp recognized as a royal power, it was only a matter of time before Faltal Industries was also considered a royal power and Landgrave Little Faltal inducted into the Council of Kings.
There was a slight shift in power as the children aged into teens. Landgrave Faltal decided to make their heir the eldest of their triplets: Grand Heir Balor Faltal. This was decided as Balor was more aggressive in tactics and life, while the eldest of Little's children, Prince Valentine Faltal, was much more passive and withdrawn in living life. Valentine doesn't seem to mind, and has dropped out of school to help care for his father and his ancestral home. Meanwhile, the Landgrave has made a separate residence for the ruling house to live in.

Oasis Springs Life
The life of Faltal teens has been passive and vapid. Knowing only money and privledge, and little of outside work, they seek to have the royal lifestyle that was promised to them as teenagers. While Grand Heir Balor is looking foreword to being a King as an adult, his siblings and cousins look to wooing and marrying royal family members to maintain their lifestyle.

Selvadorada (Independent)
President's House
Not long after Irati Escalante was elected the Second President of Selvadorada, she married her best friend and sweetheart, who had just escaped an abusive engagement. The two have become the ultimate power couple of the jungle, taking on many family responsibilities as well as caring for their homeland and people.

Word across the world spread that the recent Mother Plant sproutings came from adopted children, and adoption centers and foster programs around the world were suddenly under question and scrutinized.
Many Infected children and teens fled into the world, with no hope of becoming implanted in the royal family. This particular group lays in wait in Selvadorada, waiting to sprout when the time is right.

Selvadorada Life
In this generation, as many adults go to war and never come back, the country of Selvadorada banded together as one large family. Many have taken in broken homes and helped to raise up children to feel love and warmth where they can. They have briefly put aside feelings of war and violence against the Mother Plant to standing together no matter the hardships.

San Myshuno Life
While San Myshuno continues to be a neutral mecca of marketing, commerce and the latest in technology, it's also become a sanctuary for those looking to get away from the royal life. And streamers. Popular internet personalities take up residence in San Myshuno and gain huge followings from gaming to political talks.
And while popular streamer Jared Lucero has been trying to rebuild the currently bad opinions of streamers and influencers, another streamer named Gonzalo Velasco decided to leak royal secrets and confidential information when his royal fling attempted to sue him for child support of a kid he had no custody over.

What’s next for Terence Crawford?
The boxing world first got a real glimpse of Terence "Bud" Crawford when he dismantled Amir Khan's first-round conqueror, Briedis Prescott, via unanimous decision in March 2013. This was a guy who could be special.
Once Crawford defeated Ricky Burns in Glasgow to win his first world title at lightweight, then successfully defended against fellow rising star Yuriorkis Gamboa, there was always one mission for Crawford: to attain the respect and recognition that his talent deserves. For a fighter so immensely skilled and exciting, people needed to know who Crawford was.
As Crawford went through the divisions, becoming an undisputed champion and successfully defeating everyone in front of him, often world-class fighters who were made to look so ordinary, the same issue remained.
This guy should be a pay-per-view star. He's too good not to be. He's potentially a generational talent, yet he lacked the wider name recognition that a great pay-per-view star with such a skill set deserved.
Since Crawford made the move to welterweight in 2018, there was always one fighter whose name was mentioned, and that was Errol Spence Jr. It became apparent Spence was the generational rival of Crawford's and the real legacy definer of Crawford's career. After years of failed negotiations, drawn-out social media spats, and Crawford leaving Top Rank to seek out this fight, it was finally made.
Then came Crawford's finest hour. In the biggest fight of his life, with the whole boxing world's eyes on the T-Mobile Arena ring in Las Vegas on the night of 29th July 2023, Crawford was truly majestic. He dominated his supposed equal and fellow pound-for-pound elite rival.
Crawford stopped Spence and became a two-weight undisputed champion. With this win, Crawford finally earned the right to call the shots in his career, and at 36 years of age, he is undoubtedly now seeking out the biggest paydays and legacy definers.
Not just any fight will suffice. Crawford is rightly looking for the biggest fights out there, but which ones are they?
In the immediate post-fight interview, Spence expressed his desire to run it back at 154 lbs. Crawford said he would happily oblige, and the rematch does not need to be at 147 lbs.
Spence triggered the contractual rematch clause recently, and the completion of the rematch seemed a formality. However, it seems Crawford has now had second thoughts on his initial post-fight statements.
A close friend of Crawford's said the following on Twitter: "Facts… and to all the people out here spreading false narratives, Bud is offering Errol a fight at 147. If he doesn't take it, which we're hoping he doesn't because it's a waste of time, Bud wants to do [something] that's never been done and move up 3 weight classes to beat Canelo."

Due to his victory in the first fight, Crawford has a say on the weight of the rematch. If these reports are accurate, considering Spence's reported struggles of making the welterweight limit, it is still being determined whether Spence would opt for the immediate rematch at 147lbs.
If Crawford desires a potential generational showdown with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for his undisputed super middleweight titles, a move up to 154 lbs to adjust to fighting at a higher weight will make sense for Crawford. However, as the winner of the first showdown, Crawford has earned the right to call the shots, and time will tell if the rematch takes place.
Another option for Crawford, the only man currently at welterweight who could present a challenge, is Jaron "Boots" Ennis. In terms of athleticism, youth, speed, power, switch-hitting, size, and arguably physical strength, Crawford holds no advantages over the young lion. Crawford's only apparent advantages come in experience and, arguably, ring IQ.
However, in a recent appearance on "The Breakfast Club," Crawford said:
"Listen, right now in my career, a lotta people like, 'Boots this, Boots that, Boots this,'" Crawford told co-hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne The God. "You know, fightin' Boots is a lose-lose situation. You know, I win, they gonna say, 'Oh, well, he was young. He wasn't ready. You know, he was talented, he was skillful. But you got the experience over him.
"You got, you know, so much more than this kid that never been tested before. You know, because we always seen him win [with] flying colors. You know, to where we say, oh man, he's cold, he's skilful, but he's never been in the ring with nobody to test him.'"
At 26, Ennis is 10 years younger than Crawford. The Philadelphian is undoubtedly an elite-level talent, but he has never faced an opponent as dangerous, versatile, gifted, skillful, complete, or experienced as Crawford. Of course, this does not guarantee victory for Crawford.
Nobody expected the inexperienced and young then-Cassius Clay to defeat Sonny Liston or the young Leon Spinks, with only seven professional fights, to dethrone Muhammad Ali.
To defeat his generational rival in Spence and then successfully defend against the number 1 contender, the rising star of the welterweight division would place Crawford amongst the welterweight greats.
Seeking greatness comes with risk. Then-undisputed middleweight king Bernard Hopkins put his long reign on the line against the untested but wonderfully athletic and gifted Jermain Taylor and lost his titles. On the flip side, Lennox Lewis successfully defended his heavyweight crown against the young and hungry Vitali Klitschko, a last-minute replacement and leading heavyweight of the following era, before bowing out on top.
Such risks come with great danger but great rewards, too. Nevertheless, Crawford is seeking out the biggest legacy definers and money makers out there that make the most business sense, and after everything he has had to overcome to get here, he has earned that right.
Crawford has frequently expressed his interest in fighting unified super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo in the past. However, following Charlo's loss to Canelo, Crawford stated Charlo is "no longer on my hit list."
Ok y’all I’m over @TwinCharlo he’s no longer on my hit list. He went out there and laid down and let Canelo spank him like he was his daddy with no type of resistance.😂
— Terence Crawford (@terencecrawford) October 1, 2023
Nevertheless, Charlo remained open to the idea of moving back down to 154lbs following the Canelo fight to face Crawford.
The WBO ruled that its interim champion, Australia's Tim Tszyu, would become its full-fledged 154-pound champion once Charlo fights Alvarez. After Tszyu was elevated, Charlo is no longer officially boxing's undisputed 154 lbs champion.
Crawford is chasing greatness and is looking to become a three-weight division undisputed champion. Although he desired a Charlo showdown at 154 to become just that, with the Tszyu and WBO recent developments and what Crawford thought was a poor showing by Charlo against Canelo, Crawford states he has readjusted his desires, with a Canelo showdown very much on his radar.
When recently speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience, Crawford said the following about if Canelo defeats Charlo: "For a person to go up three weight classes from 147 to 168 and to win, and become undisputed, wow.. what can they say?"
Who will Terence Crawford fight next?
In the post-fight press conference after the Charlo fight, Canelo was asked about a Crawford fight, to which he responded, "if it makes sense, but he's (Crawford) not in the plan."
If the business does indeed make sense, and Crawford was to secure that fight and be successful, his all-time pound-for-pound standing would suddenly place him in a very exclusive club with past pugilistic greats.
If all else fails, Tim Tszyu isn't the worst option for Crawford. The Australian is unbeaten and is now elevated to full WBO champion at 154 lbs. The son of Aussie great Kosta Tszyu is clearly talented in his own right, with guts, power, and an exciting all-action style that would call for a thrilling showdown with "Bud."
Crawford could try to take Tszyu's belt so that when a potential Charlo fight comes around at 154, a Crawford-Charlo showdown could still be for undisputed status.
For now, Tszyu is set to defend his WBO title against Brian Mendoza in October.
Crawford told us all that this was his era, and he now sits at the top of the sport as the best boxer in the world in many people's eyes. With the arrival of his 36th birthday, retirement may be on the horizon.
Two months after the Spence fight, Crawford does not have a next opponent yet, but with options aplenty, Crawford may have the chance in the twilight of his career to cement his legacy as one of the sport's all-time greats.
