This is from my oneshot A soft breeze of summer a pure fluff one. I think I never wrote anything so sweet and tender like this one.

He closes his eyes, relaxing his body to the music of the cicadas nearby, singing nonstop a love song to summer. It’s peaceful. It's perfect. Your breathing is heavy and even. You fell asleep in his arms, and he can’t help feeling the amazement of this simple and precious act of yours. It's still a surprise to him the safety that his arms can offer you. Just months ago, he couldn’t have dreamed of having these perfect moments in life. To have something so precious to care for. To have you. He. A vampire. Living a perfect and quiet life. Filling his undead heart with such a great love for this lovely being who chose him over everyone to spend the rest of your days with.  Astarion smiles at his thoughts. A genuine and contented smile. It's so nice. He is happy. Truly happy.  He breathes in deeply, summer scents all over. And yours. Your familiar and unique scent. Not your perfume. The smell of your skin, of your sweat. He can't help but to squeeze you. Are you really there? Are you even real? Is this happiness his to feel? You stir, and he feels guilty for waking you. You were so peaceful… You yawn, stretching your arms. “Was I sleeping for too long?”  “For some time, yes.” He replies, softly. “Oh, I'm sorry.”  “Nothing to be sorry about, my dear. My arms are yours.” He says sincerely.

What are your Headcanons after the events in Baldur's Gate 3?

Gale asks Lyra to marry him and Lyra excitedly accepts his proposal, and follows him to Waterdeep where she moves in to his tower with him.

1. Who is her romance?

Gale

2. Where do they live?

Waterdeep

3. Who always cleans up and decides on the furnishings?

Both of them. Lyra has always wanted to decorate a space for herself and Gale is happy to give her the freedom to change up some of the rooms in his tower - it certainly doesn't hurt that he also very much enjoys her decor choices. Gale tends to do most of the cleaning up. Prestidigitation is used more often than either of them would dare admit to anyone else.

4. Which companions do you have the most contact with?

Shadowheart and Astarion

5. Has a companion died or are they at odds?

Thankfully, no companions have died or have serious qualms with one another. But it always lays heavy on their hearts that Karlach had to return to the Hells, even with Wyll by her side.

6. Where is Scratch?

He lives with Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate. Lyra wanted to bring him to Waterdeep with them, but Tara had a conniption.

7. What is their next adventure?

A wedding! Lyra has dreamed about getting married all her life and Gale is already in "it has to be perfect" mode. Lyra is always trying to remind him that what makes it perfect is that she will be marrying him.

For Iizven and Astarion, holidays are more about spending time together than elaborate gift-giving. They are traveling all of Faerûn throughout the year but for Winter Solstice they would always return to Baldur's Gate if possible. They have one little tradition though because they both have sticky fingers. 🤭 In the evening, they go out in the city separately for an hour and steal the first three things they spot that remind them of the other. It can be anything from just a small bouquet of flowers to an elaborate enchated dagger or a fancy necklace. It's not about the items themselves or their material value but about the connection to their partner or the memories they invoke. After an hour they meet on the rooftop of the Elfsong tavern to exchange their "gifts", indulge in happy memories, share a bottle of nice wine, and watch the bustling streets below and the stars above.

New Year Writing Tag

What's been your biggest learning point this past year? 

I'd say it's not being so hard on myself for things that aren't really in my control.

How has your writing developed this past year? 

Well, I started 2024 by writing a one shot after...I want to say more than a decade of not writing fanfic but I honestly don't even know how long it had been 😆(it's probably a lot more than what I think it is), so I was obviously incredibly rusty (and I made things even harder for myself by thinking that yes, writing smut for the first time is going to go incredibly well in this context). In any case, I kept at it for the most part (excluding a hiatus I took because I was just disappointed in the lack of engagement I was getting), even started a longfic and it improved as I went along. I do think I improved my dialogue the most, and now I want to get better at descriptions and conveying feelings (and doing better when it comes to more...dynamic? scenes, like fights, or dances)

Good writing habits? 

I don't know if it's necessarily good, but it works for me - writing out of order, so that whenever I have an idea for something that I want to include later, it's written down and probably just needs some editing or rephrasing to fit it in a chapter or scene. Otherwise I'm just really chaotic with it😅

For Elven Storm specifically, I do keep videos of scenes from my playthroughs for when I need to add in scenes from the game, so at least I have some semblance of organization there 😅

Bad writing habits? 

Probably just how chaotic I am with writing - I don't plan too much, I don't do outlines and I'm not the most organized with it either😅

Favorite thing you wrote? 

Elven Storm is my baby, as always❤️But I also really enjoyed and had a lot of fun with Masquerade and Elixir of the Colossus

Favorite reads? 

I haven't really had the time to read in 2024 sadly, but my favorite books in general include:

The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski

pretty much anything written by Stephen King (especially The Shining and Misery)

the Hercule Poirot series by Agatha Christie

Biggest win? 

Deciding to continue writing.

And finally finishing chapter 4 of Elves Storm after having the worst time with it and being stuck on it for the longest time😅

Goals for the new year? 

I'd like to be more consistent with writing and updates. And maybe find a way to have stuff written in advance, so I can manage that more easily.

And get better at writing summaries, because good lord I suck at them currently.

Your favorite words of the year, aka the words you check each chapter for, making sure you didn't repeat them 788 times? 

Probably 'darling' and 'smirk/smirked' 😆

What are you excited for in the new year?

Hopefully, finishing up Elven Storm and starting a sequel for it 😁

Syanna would spoil Astarion, no doubt about it 😁I can see her planning an evening for two of them, where they'd be out and about, maybe they just watch whatever festivities are going on where they happen to be at the time, joining in if they feel like it. If not, it's all about spending quality time together, just enjoying each other's company and being relaxed 😁As for the more material gifts, she would be getting him things like a new book he'd enjoy, or a new outfit/doublet/shirt/jacket he'd like, or ingredients for his perfume, a fancy dagger, or maybe some tasteful jewelry... 😁(and she would definitely look for ways to make it symbolic and meaningful too - maybe it's something custom made for him, or at the very least personalized) And whatever she ends up getting him, she would also include a note for him (or more, if she gets him multiple things) - just her telling him she loves him, or writing down some silly joke or pun, or how that thing reminded her of him or how she thought he'd like that, that kind of thing.

Like I said, she'd absolutely spoil him, because she wholeheartedly believes he deserves it💖

Bonus, she would also get the best treats for Scratch and the owlbear 💖

New Year Writing Tag

@cinnamontails-ff tagged me to participate in this game. Thank you so much for thinking of me!

What's been your biggest learning point this past year?

Everyone is different. That means everyone's perspective is different, and no one can or should try to tell a story the same way another author would. All you should do is tell your story the way you want it told, and those the story will resonate with will find it.

How has your writing developed this past year?

I'm developing the ability to explain why things are happening or why a character is acting a certain way without explicitly spelling out the reason. Before this year the last time I posted any fic at all was 2018. And in those six years, I had a lot of academic writing to do -- which meant lots of outright explanations, because one can't leave things up to interpretation in academic writing. I'm still getting out of that mindset, I think, but that's one way I've developed this year.

Good writing habits?

I have started finding spots where I can go to focus on my writing. I'm hoping to start making visiting those places part of my regular schedule this year!

Bad writing habits?

I have a very distracting habit of editing as I write. Sometimes I make it two or three paragraphs without stopping to edit. Sometimes I make it two sentences. But I have got to learn to get through the thing first before I start editing.

Favorite thing you wrote?

I love both of my Diana fics, but say yes, but only if you want to wins the top spot by a very slim margin.

Favorite reads?

I refuse to choose. Please check out my Ao3 recs -- that list is full of so many incredible authors, and I reread their stories so often.

Biggest win?

A year ago I wasn't at all anticipating joining a new fandom, much less being active enough to make friends and build a community. And yet here we are, and I'm so glad for it. This would have been an absolute mess of a year for me if you hadn't been with me.

Goals for the new year?

My goals are to write something every day, specifically something that makes me happy (meaning something that's not for work or school or anything else), and to learn to write without stopping to edit along the way.

Your favorite words of the year, aka the words you check each chapter for, making sure you didn't repeat them 788 times?

OUCH. The repeat offenders are look, lean(s), eyes, smile, hand(s), and smirk. Depending on the fic, I might even cut a kiss scene, because lips can start racking up search results, too.

What are you excited for in the new year?

You mean besides making more friends and reading more amazing fics? I'm hoping to start posting my longfic this year, so. That's pretty exciting.

I'm not sure the artist would appreciate the implication when this was clearly a Winnie The Pooh ref, Ms Scribbler.

Also, Dash's response was one of annoyance, not pain, so the implication the artist is originally making is that ponies are all plushies like Pooh Bear and Eyore.

Also, also, we know Ms Dash doesn't often bathe or groom herself so good luck getting that taste out of your teeth, Ms AJ.

Ok, I'll try to answer this the best as I can. I may have to change just a bit some questions, because I'll use my headcanons about the long fic I'm working at. And since I can't go simple with stories, this one happens after Tav's death. So... yeah... many, many years after the game events.

Let's see what I can answer:

1. Who is your romance?

Astarion, my pookie.

2. Where does he live?

Presently he lives in Neverwinter, in a big mansion of his own.

3. Who always cleans up and decides on the furnishings?

He lives alone. 😭 He has to manage with everything by himself. He's a very, very lonely man...

4. Which companions does he have the most contact with?

None... No one is around anymore... Omg... who wants to know about this sad story?? 😭

5. Has a companion died or are you at odds?

Yes. After so many years some of the companions had perished already. But at this point, Astarion does not know who is still alive or who isn't.

6. Where is Scratch?

Well... as you can imagine, there is no Scratch anymore. 💀

7. What is Astarion next adventure?

A big one - making peace with his eternity, accepting all the good and the bad things that come with it, like the loss of the ones he loves the most.

Yeah... that's it. I can't give many more details, or otherwise I would be spoiling too much, but I hope I can satisfy your curiosity :)

I can't resist sharing another wip from my latest work that is supposed to be out by the New Year. It's almost finished, and I hope my followers and fans from "I wish" appreciate this little treat that I'm trying to pull out (and obviously everyone who wants to read it).

After the events of the game, Ril'afae and Astarion rest a bit from their adventures before setting off for another one! Maybe one day I'll be organized enough to write a fic about my headcannons 😅

1. Who is her romance?

Astarion

2. Where do they live?

Well, technically anywhere 😂

After a short period of chilling in Baldur's Gate, they travel across Faêrun, so they once again get acquainted with tents and bedrolls, but if they can, they always opt for cozy inns.

3. Who always cleans up and decides on the furnishings?

Since they're mostly on the road, cleaning and furnishing is limited, however most of the cleaning would be from Ril, while the decorations and overall aesthetic's would be more from Astarion's standpoint.

4. Which companions do they have the most contact with?

Shadowheart and Gale.

5. Has a companion died or are they at odds?

Nobody has died, nobody’s really at odds from the original gang. Due to all the different paths, contact is pretty limited tho.

6. Where is Scratch?

He and the owlbear cub are with our favorite princess Shadowheart ❤️

7. What is their next adventure?

Ridding the Faêrun of all Bhaal and Bane cultists by Jergal's demand while Astarion thinks on whether or not he wants to walk in daylight. In the meantime, Astarion uses Polymorph Dire Raven so that he can be by Ril's side during daytime travels ❤️
