hiii so i could only find one satyrkin flag but the colors didn’t have any meaning or significance, which i personally didn’t like, so i decided to create one!!! i love u my fellow satyrkin <3

sometimes i honestly want to give up on the current typical community system of labels and just. lump everything in together.

forget distinguishing whether i'm 100% that thing or what my specific connection to it is. is it a kintype or a paratype? is it spiritual or psychological? am i a specific species or an entire clade?

frankly i think it's more important for a stranger to know that there is a connection and that i in some way see myself in this animal or this animal in myself. it's less important for anyone but me to know the specifics of whether it's a kintype or anything else and why

i still dont know whether its a kintype or a copinglink, but ive realized i dont really need to figure it out now. its here, it makes me happy, and thats all that matters. tbh im still kinda upset that i have another 'type, but after thinking about it for a bit it makes sense. three has always been my lucky number, after all.

so! lets get into specifics. i havent drawn my form just yet (mainly because i cant draw unguligrades without heavy referencing to save my life lmao), but after a lot of thinking ive found that i can take two primary shapes: full unicorn, and satyr/faun. both are part of the same kintype: i dont know if its because im a shapeshifter creature, or because its my unicorn brain trying to adapt itself to a human shape.

[oh, and by the way, this 'type is completely psychological, the same as all my 'types. nothing new here]

i dont know much about my appearance. im a medieval unicorn, of course, with a deers body, long lions tail and goats cloven hooves. my legs are long and thin, and my head is shaped like a horse. i think i have a mane, but im not sure. i have a horn on my forehead, though its curved and not straight like in most depictions of unicorns. my eyes are clear (dont know the color yet), i have a beard in my unicorn form (not sure about the faun form though) and my ears are bigger than a horse's (i think they look a bit like deer ears). one particular detail i know for some reason is that i have a black spot on my upper lip. i might have more black details on my body (the tips of my ears maybe?), i dont know.

theres a lot i don't know about this kintype, and that frustrates me a bit ngl. i dont know anything about my diet, my habits, my habitat or my abilities. i dont know if i have powers, or why i can change my form. i have almost no instincts to speak of, and havent had any mental shifts yet. all i get are envisage shifts (sometimes even phantoms), little flashes of what i look like and feelings i cant put into words yet.

i know things will start to make sense in due time, but its hard to be patient. ill figure it out eventually, i know. i just have to wait.

heels & tabbies! they make your feet look more hoof-like (though, you do need special socks for tabbies).

some crossovers being satyrkin, vampirekin, and my weird combination of angelkin and demonkin:

✩ my satyr kintype has fangs, and would drink blood. it and my vampire kintype may also have wings, or only have them at certain times. my angel/demon kintype also has fangs and wings.

✩ being a savior and a harmer at the same time. tricking villagers and animals, but also saving them if they’re in danger or hurt. healing them. snd sometimes, in a certain mood, taking advantage of their vulnerability and taking them as my prey.

✩ wanting to fly or float or teleport with superspeed as a way to get around. yet also wanting to feel my hooves in the grass below me. wanting to feel and hear the tap of the cold stone of my castle below my old dress shoes.

✩ feeling so incredibly connected to nature and humans, yet also feeling alienated. nature is my home. where i’m destined to be. away from people. whilst also needing to be with humans. wanting their connection. loving and hating that connection simultaneously.

dragonkin - main kintype‌

my species is semi-digitigrade and quadrupedal, with half feathered wings and a long tail. my scales are steel blue with grey-blue plates on my neck and chest, with a lateral golden line bordering them on both sides. the feathered half of my wings is a very dark blue while the membraned half is grey-blue. i have spines on my back that go from head to tail, four claws on each hand and feet, two horns, and a mouth full of sharp teeth. i have a long snout that ends on a pointy beak shape and two long, very mobile ears. my eyes are golden with sliced pupils.

endermankin - secondary kintype

endermen are neutral creatures from the videogame minecraft, known for our height and our long limbs, our dark skin and our glowing purple eyes. however, i look a little different to how my species is portrayed in the game. my paws are clawed and look a bit like human hands, but padded and with longer fingers. my legs are digitigrade and very long. i have a tail, it's thin and very mobile, and ends in a tuft of hair. i have glowing purple eyes with darker, oval irises and no pupil. i have two fangs fused with my upper lip and two big long ears; my mouth is very rigid along with the rest of my face, but i am able to move my ears a little.

i am a more medieval unicorn, a white deer-like animal with a lions tail, a goats cloven hooves and beard, and a long, curved horn with spiralling grooves on my forehead. my form fluctuates from completely unicorn to a sort of satyr/faun, though the second one is more frequent and is the one that feels the most comfortable on my skin.

I've been thinking about it and there are a collection of signs I should have remembered while questioning my kintypes (specifically for my winged satyr kintype):

my lifelong, albeit background, emotional connection to Hellenic mythology and ancient Mesopotamian/Greek culture

constant craving for salt, to the point of just pouring salt into my hand and licking it. as a habit, throughout my life.

constantly craving grain foods (breads/multigrain crust, crackers, etc)

just straight up eating grass?? sometimes when i was younger id just go out into the backyard and eat handfuls of grass

toe walking (ik this is a common autism thing but ive always been kind of uncomfortable with having plantigrade legs, ive been walking around on my toes with my knees bent recently and ive never felt better about my bodily structure)

the actual breakdowns ive had as a kid about not having wings/being able to fly

gender fuckery

lifelong connection to nature and music

laziness.

the admittedly embarrassing habit i picked up as a kid of grunting, pawing the ground and headbutting people who pissed me off (I've weaned off of this as much as possible for obvious reasons but

literally never being able to look in the mirror and be satisfied with my facial structure, even as a little kid before being bullied

the actual memory of being fucking killed as a bystander during battle that I've just straight up Ignored until now
