they met at the university of washington in seattle in 1923- both new to mainland usa. toshi's brother liked to host parties and kiwi was a friend of his. they stumbled into each other, both a bit tipsy, and practically fell head over heels. at the same time.
satoshi wasn't the most confident person when they met, but kiwi thought the little jokes he cracked under his breath were hysterical. the more she laughed, the more it got to his head. now he's loud. he is so loud. and he is her favorite person in the entire damn world

Welcome to the PLURALITY POLL!!
Starting on 11/2/24, with each round lasting for a day, people are welcome to vote for which plural / system they like best!
All of the characters were chosen by the mod, and peer-reviewed by their partner!! And as a general note: some of these characters are simply coded to be plural, not necessarily canonically. However, there is evidence for a majority of these as to why they're here!!
Please do not start syscourse in the tags or in the comments. That is the one thing I ask.
*Arthur / John and Phosphophyllite / Lapis Lazuli do not have images. The former is on purpose due to lack of official art, but the latter is not. Just ignore it!!

Ginger May's "Mockster" is an Anthemic Rock Track Bursting out of Tokyo’s energetic indie rock scene, we find the dynamic women-driven duo, Ginger May, with their electrifying single, “Mockster.” This enticing track is an audacious anthem that indulges listeners in dominantly feminine indie rock energy while playfully flirting with elements of pop, an auditory experience as vibrant and lively as the city they stem from. https://open.spotify.com/album/7cKBDZ4q149C8rNc9YAL1t?si=3X5sucySR2utzE126MpHKQ The song unrolls with Satoshi's formidable guitar work, a sonic tide of irresistible energy that seizes your senses from the first chord. Her playing reverberates with echoes of indie rock grandeur, deftly interwoven with a harmonic undercurrent that nods towards pop. She creates a palpable heartbeat within the single, generating lively rhythms that give “Mockster” its bold, bodacious backbone. The arrival of Tanya's vocals is a remarkable sea-change. Her voice, reminiscent of PJ Harvey’s raw power and Alanis Morissette’s burgeoning angst, crafts a compelling narrative with an emotional panorama against Satoshi's vigorous guitar backdrop. Tanya’s delivery provides a delicate balance of introspection and outward observation, thereby engendering “Mockster” with depth and resonance. [caption id="attachment_51259" align="alignnone" width="1080"] Ginger May's "Mockster" is an Anthemic Rock Track[/caption] Tanya’s vocals also eloquently convey the myriad emotions intricately layered within the song. She exhibits command over rhythm and timbre, each syllable a footstep on a path towards the heart of listeners. Her intricately nuanced delivery adds a raw authenticity to the track, encouraging listeners to confront and reconcile with their personal “mocksters.” What sets "Mockster" apart is its anthemic aura. Shifting from introspective verses to a knockout chorus, Ginger May achieves a balance between the soul-searching depth of indie rock and the hook-centric pleasure of pop. The catchy chorus carries all the potential of a heart-pounding, crowd-echoing number at packed concerts, adding an inclusionary zeal to this genre-bending tune. https://youtu.be/nWRteZoM-cc The production is adroitly handled; it exhibits expertise in balancing several complex elements without diluting the song's essence. There's ample room for the individuality of the guitar and vocals, as well as their harmonious interplay, resulting in a sonic milieu that breathes and evolves with the listener. "Mockster," in its entirety, is a rollercoaster of authentic emotions, capturing the exhilaration and dreariness of everyday life. This track offers a cathartic anthem for self-discovery, personal battles, and resilience while keeping listeners foot-tappingly engaged. It's an indie rock anthem that perfectly encapsulates life's bittersweet symphony while carrying a catchy, pop charm that leaves an indelible impression. Daring to Defy: 7000apart’s “Runaway” Strikes a Chord Unquestionably, Ginger May is a blazing beacon on the indie rock-pop landscape, and "Mockster" is a testament to their potential. Their craftsmanship in merging emotional depth and musical vivacity is enormously promising; it sets listeners on a thrilling, anticipatory wait for their next sonic surprise. The prowess this all-woman duo demonstrates definitely heralds an exciting chapter for the indie rock-pop genre. Follow the duo on Website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Harry Potter and the Magical Creatures V2
read it on AO3 at https://ift.tt/VXvx4g2
by SinnohEevee
Pokémon and Harry Potter are my favourite franchises, so why not combine them? Harry would still go to Hogwarts to learn magic as in canon, but there will be many changes. Not only do Pokémon exist as magical creatures in this fic, but Harry will learn about magic on his sixth birthday. Other changes include an early release for Sirius Black, Harry making friends earlier, etc...

The next two items may be some of the strangest items I’ve ever wrote about on here, but here goes.
NJPW announced more talents for the Fighting Spirit Unleashed shows on the East Coast at the end of the month. In addition to once we would expect, namely Roppongi 3K and Lance Archer, they also announced... the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson. Yes, THAT Rock ‘n Roll Express, from the territory days, who are now older than the hills, but somehow having a bit of a renaissance in 2019 (up to and including Morton doing a Canadian Destroyer during Wrestlemania Weekend).
Morton & Gibson have never worked NJPW, at least not as the RnR Express. There is a direct link however, as Morton trained Chase Owens. But this is a bizarre booking no matter how you slice it. It may get some attention, but I’m not sure this is what NJPW fans are wanting. We’ll see how this plays out. Two of the shows are already sold out, with tickets still remaining for the opener in Lowell, MA, on Friday 9/27/2019.
Tumblr media
Yesterday it was reported that Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the owners of Impact Wrestling, have purchased a majority stake in AXS TV from Mark Cuban. Cuban will still be involved with AXS, as well as bringing on comedian and Family Feud host Steve Harvey’s production company as a partner, with Harvey getting a seat on the board.
NJPW on AXS has been running on the channel since January 2015, and while it’s gone through several hosts, a timeslot shift and a soft format change (in that they are merely using the English feed from NJPWWorld now, as opposed to translating episodes of World Pro Wrestling from TV Asahi), it’s still a pretty popular show on the network, and indeed there is now other wrestling on the channel in WOW Women of Wrestling.
Impact, of course, used to be TNA under old ownership, and between one of the worst matches at a Wrestle Kingdom, and in Tetsuya Naito’s career, and the shoddy treatment of Kazuchika Okada whilst on excursion, there aren’t very many warm feelings between NJPW and TNA/Impact. However, that was under previous ownership, and Dixie Carter & Vince Russo are nowhere to be seen these days. I am certain Anthem are fully aware of NJPW on AXS, just as I am certain Anthem is going to do everything in their power to bring Impact onto AXS.
I don’t watch it myself, however there has been some indication that Impact may, finally, have gotten it together, although they just lost LAX (EYFBO), Penta el 0M and Rey Fenix to AEW, and the promotion is very focused on Michael Elgin and Sami Callihan at the moment. Plus, Impact seems to be in tight with Pro Wrestling NOAH, as Naomichi Marufuji will be facing Elgin at Bound for Glory coming up.
But in the midst of these, there are indicators of a possible sea change happening with NJPW with regard to whom it works with in the USA, as they are working traditional Ring of Honor venues without ROH’s participation later this month, and that ROH rebranded Global Wars to be with CMLL rather than NJPW shows that, perhaps, after G1 Supercard, NJPW are looking to cash out from the ROH partnership. At the same time, AEW is right there, but perhaps they might look at Impact as well. This is all mindless speculation, and both AEW and Impact are already working with other Japanese (and Chinese in AEW’s case) companies. (Not to mention AEW working with AAA, something CMLL would definitely balk at with NJPW.)
Point being, there doesn’t seem to be any immediate indications that NJPW on AXS is going away soon. It is a high profile show on the channel, and Mark Cuban is very much behind NJPW. Impact coming in might be a boost to NJPW and WOW’s ratings as well, or, indeed, vice versa. (Actually, probably vice versa.) It would be silly of the channel to drop NJPW, but then again, even Anthem has been known to do silly things with regard to Impact, never fully shaking off the TNA stink, at least, not yet.
The tour continues tomorrow:
- 9/11/2019, Aichi Nagoya Congress Center Event Hall
