One of my favorite crack theories is that the Loch Ness monster is a dinosaur ghost, and that's why no hard evidence can be found of it's physical presence within the lake and cameras tend to "conveniently" go staticky/blurry or malfunction altogether when it appears.

We could apply this to most cryptids if we were crazy enough, really.

Sasquatches are the ghosts of early humans that lived before we had lost our fur.

All lake monsters and sea serpents are the ghosts of long-extinct aquatic animals such as plesiosaurs and dorudons.

The mokele-mbembe is a ghost sauropod, and the legend about it cursing those who eat its flesh is true because it's a vengeful type of ghost, perhaps angry that it was eaten by carnivores in life, or that mammals inherited an earth it feels robbed of.

All cryptids that are mundane animals but of extraordinary size are the ghosts of ice age megafauna.

You get it. We can stretch this as far as we want, and get as ridiculous as we want with it. It's prime pseudoscience; easy to rationalize evidence for, impossible to disprove, and as annoying a theory as you want it to be.

Question. Most cats you would find at like a shelter or whatever are just domestic shorthairs right? So is there anything to torties being High Maintenance and orange cats being dumb and friendly or is that like. Cat astrology?

Bigfoot's Secret

Most people who believe in Bigfoot use the term as a shorthand for an entire species of ape-men that they believe exist throughout mainland North America, sometimes calling such creatures "Bigfoots."

However, I think it's immensely funnier to assume that Bigfoot is literally just one monster who inexplicably has lived for hundreds of years and aimlessly wanders the forests of North America, with no real explanation for his existence. Is he a mutant human, born with traits thought long since gone like fur, large size, a cone-shaped cranium and an ape-like face? Is he some sort of unlikely beast-man hybrid, most likely born sterile but exceptionally large due to hybrid vigor? Is he just There, with no particular origin, perhaps placed on this earth by aliens or gods for shits and giggles? Is he a Neanderthal who drank from the fountain of youth? Who knows, he's just a rambling monster with size 25 feet in his step and a song in his heart.

A man’s ongoing efforts to track down the elusive sasquatch in remote areas of British Columbia suggest he’s capable of working, and therefore not entitled to spousal support, a judge has ruled.

The unusual circumstances were detailed in a recent divorce decision handed down in B.C. Supreme Court, which makes multiple references to the 57-year-old’s sasquatch-seeking expeditions.

It was one such venture that led to the couple’s separation in August 2020.

His wife told the court he went on a camping trip on Vancouver Island that month in search of the mythical ape-like creature – and brought along an ex-girlfriend without telling her.

“The respondent was extremely upset by this,” Justice Robin Baird wrote, in his Jan. 17 decision.

“Before the claimant returned home she fired off a text to him declaring that their marriage was over, and she never changed her mind.”

The husband’s claim for spousal support also hinged on him being unable to work due to a mishap that occurred during a previous sasquatch outing years earlier.

But Baird was ultimately not convinced the husband was left “totally disabled” by the accident, or that he “cannot earn income from employment of some kind or other” – partly because of his ongoing sasquatch-related endeavours.

“The claimant continues to enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, riding ‘quad’ motorcycles, and exploring remote areas of B.C. in search of sasquatch,” the judge wrote.
