hi lin! the msi song is flaw (ปล่อยดาว) by yew, and the lyrics are devastating 👌🏻
Hi Sasa! I found it on spotify just before I saw your ask and whilst listening I realised why it left such an impression on me - it's a 3/4 or 6/8 (basically a waltz - and sorry to any more technical music people who would be horrified by me saying that) and songs/music in that time signature always gets me 🥰🤭 Anyway, thank you for the info as well, so now I can post the song for everyone to listen to as well. And I'll go read the lyrics and be even more devastated 💪🏼

Pro-Palestinian supporters are calling for a second real estate event planned north of Toronto to be called down over concerns it involves the selling of land in the occupied West Bank. On Sunday, dozens of people gathered near the Aish Hatorah synagogue in Thornhill, Ont., to protest an event that organizers say was aimed at helping people in the Toronto area buy property in Israel. They were met with pro-Israeli counterprotesters and Jewish leaders took issue with the Sunday protest taking place outside a synagogue. But pro-Palestinian protesters say companies associated with the event market property in the West Bank, where over two million Palestinians live under Israel's military occupation, according to the United Nations (UN). A similar event is expected to take place Thursday at another synagogue in the area. It is unclear whether the two events are connected. "We weren't there because it's a synagogue, we were there because we were protesting against a real estate show," said Ghada Sasa, who was at the protest over the weekend.

Bofurin Are Named After Plants (Part 1)
I like Wind Breaker, but what I like more is the creative thought process that goes behind a character's name.
Here's a post about the plants the Bofurin characters are named after.
Since there are some anime-only people on this site, the first part will only be about the Bofurin members who have been officially introduced and their affiliates.
Let's start with the MC:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sakura (桜) means Cherry Blossom.
(Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura also uses the kanji for Sakura in her name and both are born April 1).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Nire (楡) in Nirei means Ulmus davidiana var. japonica, commonly known as the Japanese Elm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Suo is an interesting case. Instead of having one syllable in his name being a word for a plant, both of the syllables in his name make up one word for the plant he's named after. In his case, Suo (蘇枋) means Biancaea sappan. The sappan plant can be used as dye, called Sappanwood, and the color is a reddish brown just like Suo's hair color. The color is actually called Suo in Japanese, which is actually really creative on the author's part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Sugi in Sugishita (杉) is the Japanese word for Cryptomeria japonica, commonly known as the Japanese cedar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Ume in Umemiya means plum (梅)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hiiragi (柊) is the word for Osmanthus heterophyllus, which is commonly known as either holly osmanthus, holly olive or false holly.
For Bofurin's affiliates, they also have plant names too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kotoha's surname is Tachibana (橘), which means mandarin (as in the orange). This sort of goes along with her foster brother Umemiya who is also named after a fruit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sasaki, the middle school kid Bofurin saved from Shishitoren, is quite an interesting case. Sasaki is a common surname, but the way his name is spelled is actually a bit different from the more commonly way Sasaki is spelled. In Sasaki's case, the sasa in his name means bamboo (笹).
Not only are the people named after plants, but the shops too!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The cafe Sakura frequents and the one where Kotoha works is called Pothos, which is a plant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bakery that Sakura gets his bread from is called Saboten, which is the Japanese word for Cactus.
As a writer, the creativity behind the plant theme names really gets to me. I can tell the author put a lot of thought into their names and have them be consistent with a certain theme.
However, Bofurin itself means wind chime which doesn't really fit the plant theme, but it is powered up by the wind, which is a part of nature, which plants are from. I guess that counts?
Anyways, if you enjoyed reading this post, I'll be back with a part 2 once more Bofurin members are introduced.
Here's a video I made for this trivia.

I am so so sad for Cellbit and the brazilian comunity in the qsmp as a whole
Cellbit finally talking about the abuse he faced at the hands of his ex-girlfriend (flobs/sasa), the sexual abuse he suffered as a child and his suicide attenped all because the non-brazilian side of the qsmp fandom (mainly quackity fandom) harassed everybody so fucking much by being xenophobic and racist that he had to finally come fowards to this
That document is so sad to read, expecially knowing how cellbit was treated by brazilian Internet for all this years, i am so so fucking sad That he probably wouldn’t talk about any of this if it wasn’t for the harassement of Quackity's fandom....
I hope quackity adresses this, cellbit is his friend and his fandom made everybody lives (mainly cellbit and lorena) a living HELL and treating this situation as a fanwae and a "gotcha" agaist the brazilian comunity
Also tumblerinas, yall aren’t better then twitter, the qsmp comunity is disgusting against brazilians in all plataforms don’t pretend that here is heaven, it isn’t
Here the doc for anyone that wants to read it

Today, a name with one of my favorite characters! 笹津 is read Sasatsu or Sasazu.
笹, which I love, is new to this blog! It refers to a plant: sasa, also called bamboo grass or broad-leaf bamboo. The radicals are ⺮ bamboo crown, fittingly, and 世 world/generation.
The kun-yomi is ささ (which I remember as the whispering sound that the leaves make), and there actually is no on-yomi. That's because it's a 国字 kokuji, or Japan-made kanji, so it doesn't exist in Chinese. More on those here.
津, as we covered the other day, means port, harbor, or ferry. It's read つ or シン.
