http://jimzub.com/murderworld-spider-man-1-reviews/
Huge thanks to our editor, Sarah Brunstad, for helping champion this wild project and ride the razor's edge of mature content throughout the series, this issue in particular. She encouraged Ray Fawkes and I to go for the intense moments in our outline rather than holding anything back.

New KT news!!!!
“The Boss of Space” returns to Earth in Captain Marvel 1 coming from @Marvel in January by @79SemiFinalist @CarmenCarnero @TBonvillain @MightyBrunstad & @Wil_Moss. I had an excellent conversation with Kelly Thompson about it. Check it out here: https://nyti.ms/2IyCAh8
Tumblr media
Captain Marvel, one of the formidable heroines of the Marvel universe, will be getting a hero’s welcome in a new comic-book series that begins in January. The series, which will be written by Kelly Thompson and drawn by Carmen Carnero, returns Captain Marvel to New York City after a stint in space as the first line of defense against alien threats.
The spotlight on the female superhero, and her alter ego Carol Danvers, precedes her debut on the big screen in “Captain Marvel,” starring Brie Larson, which arrives in theaters in March.
“I think the character is incredibly important, maybe now more than ever,” Mrs. Thompson said.
Mrs. Thompson and the rest of the comic’s creative team, which also includes the colorist Tamra Bonvillain and the editors Sarah Brunstad and Wil Moss, will be balancing the expectations of different audiences.
“You really want her to be accessible to new and younger audiences who are going to see the movie, fall in love and want to seek out other Captain Marvel stories,” Mrs. Thompson said. “But you really want to respect the fans who have loved the character for decades. I think there’s a razor’s edge there.”

Murderworld
MURDERWORLD wraps up today!
If you haven't snagged the whole story yet, here's the reading order for the series-
1) Murderworld: Avengers
2) Murderworld: Spider-Man
3) Murderworld: Wolverine
4) Murderworld: Moon Knight
5) Murderworld: Game Over
For those of you who don't know the back story on how this pitch came about, Ray Fawkes and I originally pitched Murderworld to Marvel back in 2004!
https://youtube.com/watch?v=mR738h8wdm4
Seeing this project finally come to life 18 years later has been a wonderful and surreal experience.
Huge thanks to C.B. Cebulski and Jordan D. White for seeing the potential in our story and our incredible editor Sarah Brunstad for taking it from concept to reality.
At each step of development, Sarah has championed Murderworld, encouraging us to tell the darkly twisted tale in our outline and making sure we didn't have to sand down any sharp points. Every issue I thought we were going to get push back, but she saw it through.
Ray and I have known each other since college. We've watched each other navigate highs and lows of this business, cheerleading and commiserating on each success or setback. Finally getting the chance to work side-by-side with him on this has been such a blast.
At the end of the story we sowed a few seeds for a possible sequel but, whatever happens next, just having this story finally told feels like a huge win. Thanks for joining us on the ride.
