Naruto Modern AU/Hollywood pt.1 - The Uchiha Family & Sasuke.

All types of reasons have led certain people to the level/status of celebrity. We will explore it in this Modern AU of Naruto. Oh yes, starting a new project (regardless of all the stuff in the drafts) as a means to share my lore and practice digital art.

They are your typical influential family/lineage/clan in the world of celebrity-dom and Hollywood. Taking their root foundation in Madara Uchiha who made a lot of money exploiting the land’s abundant minerals along with Hashirama Senju when they created Konoha. He built the foundation block of the Country’s central bank and police department. Yes, Madara lost most of his wealth through the years to the sin of gambling and failed business ventures. To this point of being a historical comedic fact of the past, his descendant Fugaku Uchiha had to rebrand and start with a "fresh foot" in a different industry; Technology & Scientific Lobbying/Investing. Along with ownership in the industrial prison complex but he’s not telling you the second part.

Finances magazine "The Ryô Treasury" loves to paint Fugaku as a self-made businessman who worked hard and won the investment lottery. These types of publications love to omit to the public the fact that anyone in the Uchiha clan born after Madara is technically a trust fund kid/nepo baby. Fugaku included since like most of his close and distant relatives were born into the higher class regardless of the money Madara lost throughout the years.

Many historians and the media do their best to conceal the depth of the influence Madara had on the country of fire and cover it up with the "billionaire gone broke" narrative because he had controversial political and social views that led to his fall apart from Hashirama Senju centuries ago.

Many industries go to the higher clans like the Hyuuga, Uchiha, Aburame & Senju for funding since they own a lot of the country’s resources and various entities. It’s hard to tell because it is well concealed on purpose like how the cheap wine you buy at the grocery store comes from a vineyard owned by a Senju who operates under a different surname.

With all that status and money, Fugaku married Mikoto (from an unknown background) and created the main and most popular unit of his clan with his two sons: Itachi and Sasuke.

Let’s Start with Sasuke:

He lived, along with his older brother, the typical luxury childhood with a large main mansion, a cottage summer home in France, maids, going to a 7-star school no one can find on Google Maps &, etc. The intense security of such a sheltered childhood created a rebellious fire in him. So, out of the blue at 18yo packed his bags and left his parents' house without warning. He settled on the rough side in the major city of Konoha to reinvent himself. After discarding his surname and blow-drying his hair, he dived into one of his hidden passions; music. With his dad’s funds, purchased a few guitars and started to compose music. Not only for pure love for the art form but in the hope of making a name for himself, to stand on his own feet and not hide in his brother’s shadow anymore. The fact that Itachi’s career was taking off around that time was pocking at his justified sibling inferiority complex (but he’ll never admit it).

After many trials and errors, he was able to befriend a few people while still refusing to disclose his identity. Like a random young guitarist coming up from the struggle, he created the punk rock band Taka along with Suigetsu (2nd guitar), Karin (bass), and Juugo (drums). They went from performing in small clubs to selling out large venues and becoming the most recognizable punk rock figure of their era and sending them on tours across different cities and countries.

Keep in mind they were able to pierce the market in Iwagakure due to the large rock music scene bringing a new sound standing out from the traditional heavy metal of the country of stone. They couldn’t say the same about other large cities like Sunagakure and Kumogakure who were at that time close to the outside musical influences until recently.

Sasuke took pride in his achievements accomplished without his father’s connections. The band was extremely popular among teens and young adults for their good music, edgy aesthetic, and participation in the punk/emo subculture.

 Let’s not lie, a lot of their female fanbase was in love with the handsome lead singer Sasuke. He was an iconic punk/emo fashion icon for his legendary smoky under-eye makeup and spiky hair. All the members rocked some type of spiky haircut as well who were immensely popular at the time. Regardless of the focus on Sasuke, many of their fans love Suigetsu with his unique looks, great sense of humor, and certified crowd-hyping skills. Karin, the one and only e-girl punk girly, and Juugo, the sweet muscular teddy bear drummer who composed a lot of the band’s songs along with Sasuke. Their sound is akin to Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’s Don’t You Fake It and early day Paramore.

Unfortunately, the band disbanded 5 years later for many reasons. First, punk rock’s popularity fell by the wayside and was outshined by rap & hip hop from Kumo (this era was short-lived). Also, Sasuke realized that all the members were growing apart in different ventures for their lives:

- Sasuke: By mistake, his family name was discovered. Somehow, he avoided the fraud accusation but realized he didn’t want to be a singer all his life. He outgrew it Also his father finally reached out to him and promised to guarantee his son’s future career venture if he came back so they could play into the "influential family" unit image Fukagu wanted to create (think of the Kardashians). Being interested in modeling, Sasuke complied.

- Suigetsu: Always wanted to do something in his hometown (Kiri). He kind of went off the spotlight, rumors say he is working with artists from Kiri and is a DJ wearing a full-face helmet, so we might never know…

- Juugo: Always known he had a talent and passion for photography, so he pursued it as a career. After putting a few portfolios out here, he was recruited by the renowned fashion, designer Orochimaru and it’s in his circles where he met A-List fashion model, Kimimaro. They are now engaged.

- Karin: She is now a bass and guitar instructor at the most prestigious music Academy in Konoha. The breakup was tougher on her for many reasons but the fact that Sasuke started dating and is now married to the professional wrestler and fitness influencer Sakura Haruno played a huge role in it at the time but she’s now comfortable with their relationship, and she became the godmother of his daughter.

All these things happening at the same time made the disbandment a little smoother to digest for them but was a huge shock for their fans.

Sasuke is now a model operating under Orochimaru. His handsome looks, talent, and father’s connections allowed him to make a name for himself. He keeps lending juicy contracts left and right. For some reason, he has regained pride in his family name and wears it publicly. Despite his efforts, he is back to being the Young brother in his parents’ eyes, but he doesn’t care anymore. Him and Itachi are 2 distinct entities at this point and get rarely mentioned together in most professional settings.

Sasuke is now busy and married with a daughter named Sarada. He can’t let these ideas get to him since he has a relatively good public image and enjoys his privacy (he doesn’t share too much about himself or his family with the public). He has blatant rudeness towards paparazzi, interviewers, and anyone talking to him. Pretty privilege allows him to be labeled as an introvert and keep it pushing.

Indra

Blessing in disguise.

Indra does not react the way the others do. He does not seethe. He does not grieve. He simply exists above such trivial matters.

-If she does not wish to belong, let her.- His voice is absent of emotion, as if discussing a matter of logic rather than sentiment. -No loss is suffered when something as tragic as that child is lost.-

There is no space for weakness in his world, no space for those who hesitate. Sarada is either Uchiha or she is not. There is no middle ground.

And Indra does not waste his time on things that have already been discarded.

Madara

Madara sees everything from above, from the vantage point of a ruler overseeing his domain. And Sarada? She is a loose thread in the fabric of the clan, a thread that should have been woven tightly into the legacy of the Uchiha name.

-Hn.- His expression is one of pure disappointment, of something just shy of irritation but not quite worthy of his full attention. -A child who does not recognize her own blood is no different from an outsider.-

It isn’t anger. It isn’t even sorrow. It is the sheer cold efficiency of a man who has seen generations come and go, who understands that history is shaped by those who embrace their roots, not run from them. If she chooses to turn her back, she is simply another name erased from the annals of the Uchiha.

Madara does not chase. He does not beg. He watches, and if she ever wishes to return, she will have to prove herself worthy.

Izuna

Takes it personally.

-Are you kidding me?- His disbelief burns hot, his fingers clenching as he processes the sheer insult of it all. -She acts like she isn’t one of us? Like she’s too good for the Uchiha?-

Unlike Madara, who sees the clan as an empire, Izuna sees it as his people, his family. And family does not turn its back on one another. His pride bristles, not out of hatred, but out of something wounded beneath the surface. He has always been the one to stand at the frontlines, to protect what is his. And Sarada? She turns away, walks past them as if they are nothing.

It stings.

-She can pretend all she wants,- Izuna mutters, eyes dark, a smirk tugging at his lips to mask the sharpness in his tone. -but blood doesn’t lie.-

Obito

Feels it the most.

Because he understands.

Because he, too, has known what it means to be outside looking in, to feel as though he was not truly part of the legacy that should have embraced him. He remembers the loneliness, the way he clawed at the edges of belonging only to find his fingers slipping every time.

-She should come back,- he mutters, a frown tugging at his lips. -It’s not right for her to just—walk away.-

But he doesn’t blame her. Not really.

He just wishes things were different. Wishes that, for once, someone who belonged to the clan would actually want to stay.

Shisui

Tries to understand. He always does.

-It’s not that simple.- he says, softer than the others, less condemning but no less troubled. -Maybe she has her reasons.-

He watches from the background, from the corners of conversations where the others speak of her with dismissive frustration. Unlike Izuna, who takes it as a personal slight, or Madara, who sees it as a failure of legacy, Shisui wonders, why? What has driven her away?

He wants to reach out, but he knows better than to chase someone who does not want to be found. Still, he watches. He waits. Because he knows that no matter how far someone runs, there will always come a moment when they stop, and when that moment comes, he will be there.

Itachi

Itachi does not react visibly, does not show anger or sorrow. He only watches, calculating.

-There is always a reason.- His voice is quiet, but firm. -No one abandons their name without cause.-

He will not interfere. Not yet. Because he knows that the more one pushes, the further a person drifts. If Sarada does not want to be Uchiha, then she will not be Uchiha. Not until she realizes what it is that she truly desires.

And when she does, when she finds herself standing between two paths, unsure, only then will Itachi speak.

Because sometimes, the ones who stay silent hold the most power of all.

If you and shisui were alive how do you think you guys would interact with Sarada your niece? I think shisui would be a fun uncle but you knew him better. Also between you and shisui who would spoil her more?

greetings, i do believe i have a niece named sarada. my mod san has briefed me about it curtly. i believe it would bring me the biggest joy to even hold my little brother’s offspring. i would be the best uncle there is, i know that much. shisui… ah well, he could undoubtedly be the more ‘fun’ uncle, but that wouldn’t let me fall pale to it. not at all… *thinks deeply* i would always aid her in her trainings & even spend time with her, help her recognize her hobbies & be her safe space. i would spoil her more than shisui but it can be comparable, shisui does disregard all logics and all morality and would probably break the moon if she wanted one.

I'm so happy someone else comes up with the same theory I had long ago here !

The most plausible theory is that the egg is from Karin and the surrogate and the social mum is Sakura.

Ok now full Headcanon based on nothing but my wildest dreams. What if the father DNA might not be Sasuke? after all Oroshimaru and Kabuto collected many Uchiha DNA in the past. What if it was Madara?

If you remember Kabuto said during the war to Madara that they made theory that in order to get the rinnegan you need both Uchiha and Senju DNA. What if Sarada was a crash test? They had Madara DNA available please don't ask me how they got the King's holy seed... (Kabuto literally have his decomposed body ready to be edo tensei) and the closest to a Senju they had was Karin's egg ( Uzumaki are close related, same thing with Naruto). They just didn't know that they actually needed the present reincarnation of Indra and Ashura. So they realised it didn't work and left foetus-Sarada in a fridge for some years. and Oroshimaru is known to lost interest quickly like in Yamato's case.

Maybe one day Karin remembered that and helped Sakura "getting pregnant" that way. And Sasuke was forced to accept the situation. hence why the Sasuke/Sakura couple looks so miserable in every picture it's both a forced marriage and a forced parenting.

Is Sarada a clone?

When Sarada asks Sasuke if Sakura is really his mom (ch. 5) everybody is dumbfounded and Sasuke is frowning looking stressed? annoyed?

He stays quiet before asking if something had happened which is weird?

Compare Sasuke's reaction to being questioned on whether Sakura is Sarada's mom or not and Choji's reaction to Chouchou asking him if he is her dad.

For Choji that type of question is silly, but Sasuke refused to answer that same question about Sakura. He saw Sarada go on a rant and then told her what he had going on was none of her concern.

When Sakura arrives at the scene (ch. 6), she apologizes to Sarada for not explaining things. Then Sasuke interrupts her and attempts to start to explain things to Sarada before he is interrupted by an explosion, Sakura looks strangely stressed throughout all of Naruto Gaiden and this moment is no exception. Neither Sasuke nor Sakura can tell Sarada she's being silly with these stupid questions, at least not yet.

Then Kishimoto fixates on clones and genes and how parent-child relationships are not based on passing down the dna but rather the connection they form.

Something that I find peculiar is how when the father Shin starts talking about the conception of a child via selecting the best genes of both parents, Sakura gets incredibly offended, almost like she took it personally.

Also, Sakura sweats A LOT during Gaiden, in almost every panel she's sweating. But here Kishimoto gave her two sweat drops instead of the usual one.

Sasuke suspects and it's later confirmed that the shins come from Danzo's arm. So basically, Orochimaru has Uchiha genes at his disposal to make whatever experiments he wishes, including the Shins.

Rather than creating an exact clone that's just a copy of whatever Uchiha genes Orochimaru has, he was able to create more defective Uchihas with their own will and personality. Also the imagery Kishimoto uses placing Sarada right next to Shin dad and Shin son is so interesting.

However, when Orochimaru is talking about the time lag in their maturation I'm not 100% sure what he means. That's the ViZ translation and the Mangapanda translation is slightly different. From my interpretation it seems like the maturation refers to their skills, perhaps? and by skills I mean the Uchiha kekkei genkai, the Sharingan. The clones' genes are cultivated so it takes longer to mature/regrow as both translations suggest. Remember that it took Sarada way longer to awaken the Sharingan (12 years) than it would the usual Uchiha.

Then Sarada asks about non-clones, Sasuke remains suspiciously quiet. He could at any moment tell Sarada she's being silly with all these questions and yet he refuses to explain to her what's going on, when it's really that simple like Choji did "What are you talking about Sarada? Of course Sakura is your mother". Anyway, Orochimaru tells Sarada they can test it if she wants to but then Sasuke interrupts and says there's no time for that.

Sarada then asks Suigetsu to test her to see who her real mom is. And once again, Kishimoto usage of visual language and text is very interesting to me

When Suigetsu is looking for something that could hold Karin's DNA we get this flashback of her saying that her desk is a part of her body and then we see the umbilical cord that ended up belonging to Sakura and Sarada. Now, I might be reading to much into it here but I find that choice of words fascinating, the umbilical cord was in Karin's desk, the umbilical cord was in a part of Karin's body. I think Kishimoto is telling us here how involved Karin was in Sarada's conception.

When Sarada believes Sakura is not her mom Naruto gets upset that she acts like in order to be a family people need to be blood-related and tells her what actually makes a family is love bonds.

Naruto asks her to see inside her if she feels any love for Sakura and that's when Sarada realizes that she does indeed love Sakura, the woman who has raised her and taken care of her her entire life.

When Sarada cries, refers to Sakura as her mom and tells Naruto that she does care about Sakura and wants to save her Naruto responds that it doesn't matter whether they're related or not, as long as she cares for her, that's their real bond (Naruto is so lovely in Gaiden)

And it's only after Naruto's TED talk, Sakura's rescue and their final fight against the Shins that Sakura finally tells Sarada that she is indeed her child. Sarada responds that, yes, she is her child because they love each other which is how they are connected, no longer caring if they're biologically related which is interesting to say the least... Then, after hesitating a bit, Sasuke says that he is connected to Sakura simply because they have Sarada. Sarada is touched by this and cries but her parents look miserable. Also, no one seems to ever clarify to Sarada that the umbilical cord was Sakura's so there's that.

Anyway when we get to the finale of Naruto Gaiden we see Karin clarify that it was Sakura who carried Sarada and then she says something pretty curious.

Number one it's very funny how Karin thinks of Sakura as a friend because that feeling is not mutual LMFAO. But moving on, Karin talks about how the most important thing for her is Sasuke's happiness but how is Sasuke having a child with someone he dislikes and abandons helping him with his happiness? It certainly feels like Sakura was desperate to have something from Sasuke considering she chased after him and has the Uchiha crest plastered all over her house and clothes, maybe both Sakura and Karin remembered Sasuke mentioning he wanted to restore his clan and thought giving Sasuke a child would make him happy, but it backfired on them when Sasuke showed zero interest in that child probably because Sasuke wouldn't appreciate them using genes from his deceased family members for that shit.

Additionally, Kishimoto continues with the whole bonds-are-formed-through-more-than-just-blood-theme. Karin is also bonded to Sarada hence why we're shown the umbilical cord in her desk. These incessant reminders of the theme of Naruto Gaiden regarding a child that doesn't really know who her bio mom is, feel like Kishimoto is trying to tell the audience Sarada is not the product of a regular pregnancy.

If you've read Naruto Gaiden you know that Sasuke has never kissed Sakura but also that he doesn't allow her to touch him [LINK]. There's basically zero intimacy or romantic moments between the two of them in Gaiden, quite the opposite, Sasuke is hostile or apathetic towards Sakura [LINK] so I think we can assume Sasuke didn't have sex with Sakura and get her pregnant. Instead, Sarada could very possibly a product of a similar experiment like the Shins hence Karin's odd involvement in Sakura's pregnancy [LINK] and Sarada not being born in Konoha and there being zero records of her birth and Sasuke not being able to explain to Sarada what's going on, he never answers Sarada who her mom is and is always dodging her questions. On top of that, consider Kishimoto spending so much time of Naruto Gaiden writing about clones that aren't traditional clones but new individuals with their own personhood.

Add to that how Naruto had no idea about anything that was going on with Sarada's parentage and it pisses him off but he's not gonna put Sasuke on blast in front of an already dismayed Sarada

What's up to debate then, is whether Sakura went through gestational surrogacy or traditional surrogacy. If it the pregnancy was a gestational surrogacy, then the egg is not Sakura's and someone else is the biological mother, possibly Karin hence the "my desk is my body" and "bonds come in all sort of shapes" comments and the umbilical cord being in her desk. If the pregnancy was a traditional surrogacy then the egg is Sakura and she is the bio mother.

The placenta and umbilical cord belonging to Sakura, which is confirmed in Gaiden, is not proof that the egg was hers so we really don't know for sure that she is Sarada's bio mom. I find it bizarre that Kishimoto didn't give a contundent confirmation that Sakura was the biological mom and instead kept it open to interpretation.

Sasuke Sharingan 2 Tomoe

I actually think it's kinda funny how Naruto's behavior toward Sarada in Gaiden points to how little she actually resembles Sasuke in any way besides her having the sharingan. The same way Sasuke is heavily involved in Boruto's life because he's Naruto's son, I believe Naruto would be, as well. Yet, Sarada didn't know her parents were on the same team with Naruto and calls him "Lord Seventh," implying there's little personal relationship between them. Sure, Naruto knows Sarada is an Uchiha, so Sasuke's kid, but his actions show that he doesn't actually see much connection between the two. Sarada doesn't even think similarly to Sasuke and is completely disconnected from their culture as Uchiha (which is itself sad. The first Uchiha hokage likely being the one who is the least connected to their history, memory, and culture is really bleak and cynical imo). MK just had to get his last laugh in with this pairing 😂

Hi, Gaiden confirms that Sakura did not tell Sarada anything about Sasuke's past with Naruto, she only told Sarada shallow things like Sasuke being the most handsome and every girl wanted him even Ino. She did not tell Sarada anything about them because firstly she does not know anything about Sasuke's feelings, what was his past and how much Naruto changed him but also she sees Naruto as a threat. If a 32 year old woman still feels insecure about Ino and Karin, I cannot even imagine what she thinks about Naruto. She knows that Sasuke will always choose him which means Naruto is more important in Sasuke's eyes than she can ever be. Look at her face when Naruto propose to Sasuke that he will go with him but Sasuke turned it down in a petty way which is very interesting to say the least. Sakura is nervous and starts to sweat. Kishi drew her there on purpose and this scene has a deeper meaning that is why Boruto anime changed it.

Also Sakura did not contact Naruto and Kakashi at all. Shizune confirms it when Sakura faints. Sakura did not have anyone to help her and also Shizune took care of the situation with her house. Sakura does not contact them because she got what she wanted. As I mentioned before, Naruto and Sakura's friendship was always fake. Sakura used Naruto to get Sasuke and Naruto used Sakura to hide his affection for a boy. There was also a competition between them for Sasuke's attention. Typical love triangle.

When it comes to Naruto, he just was not interested at all with Sakura and her child. Would you be if your whole relationship was fake? I don't think so. Naruto only become interested because Sarada's situation revolved around Sasuke. The same was with Sasuke, he only started to accept Sarada thanks to Naruto's involvement. Moreover, Sasuke is so interested in Boruto because he looks like Naruto and his behaviour is a mix of Naruto and Sasuke. Basically Sasuke sees Naruto in Boruto.

"And I would say that your decision would be the more important out of the two of us, since you would be the one carrying the child. It certainly wouldn't be fair for me to make you carry a child that you do not want, after all."

About your post, I always imagine that if Sasuke really liked someone outside any distinguished clan, his clan would only accept them (the very base line anyway) IF they're already resembling an Uchiha (which is typically dark haired and dark eyed, though I'm sure they're willing to make an exception depending on how much potential Sasuke's chosen has to add on to the Uchiha bloodlin) and does have genetic skills/techniques they could've passed down to any kid they might've.

Even better if they could add any improvement to the issues the Uchiha bloodline already has, namely something that could repair the blindness and lessen the stress the Sharingan was known to add to the user's eyes.

Sa///kura ain't that at all. All she got going for her was her chakra control, which was something anyone can master iirc, and that Tsunade accepted her because Sa//kura demanded her to (I think? Been a hot minute, sorry). In fact, she was also the only one that Tsunade didn't say would surpass her at all (that even stood out in my poor memory anyway, so feel free to correct me on anything I said here) when Jiraiya and Orochimaru both already stated their respective students already had early on. (If anything, Tsunade did seem a little...too impersonal with Sa//kura far more often while Jiraiya and Orochimaru were way more invested with Naruto and Sasuke.)

In fact, Sa///kura never even revived herself from being torn apart when Tsunade already had, from the top of my head?? And hell, if we're speaking medical skills, Kabuto would've surpassed Sa//kura EASILY. There are a bunch more reasons than what I've listed but it'd be too long (poor fighter against major enemies [relying on Chiyo against her one major 'solo' fight against Satori], poor battle logics, inability to let go of unhealthy attachments [Sasuke] for loyalty, etc.)

As you've said, Sa//kura was never raised in a clan and had NO manner or understanding on how to lead, much less care for, a major clan like the Uchiha. The clan politics are far more complicated than most people believed (it's literally nothing like directing a hospital, it's both more hand-on and personal than that). Sa//kura doesn't have any emotional capacity to head a family, especially with how bad her temper can get and Sarada's neglected upbringing in the favor of her career and Sasuke. Honestly, Mikoto and Fugaku might actually hate her guts over time with how rude Sa//kura can be, though they'd do a good job of masking their feelings.

Anyway, sorry for rambling, just wanna add on to your wonderful post with my thoughts. :)

There is no need to apologize for the rambling, anon. I do it all the time myself so no need to worry. I agree with what you're saying, but I will clarify and / or correct some things here.

Firstly, I don't think appearance would matter much to the Uchiha, and by that, I mean that Sasuke's future wife, if she came from outside of the clan, wouldn't have to resemble the Uchiha in appearance. She'd just have to come from a distinguished family or clan. Again, Karin and Ino, especially the former, are prime examples of this.

I do agree that Sasuke's future wife if she came from outside the clan would also have to contribute to the gene pool, although I don't see or understand what you mean by issues genetically speaking within the Uchiha, the base 3-Tomoe sharingan doesn't put any strain on the user if it's utilized by the Uchiha as it's meant to. As I said in my post, the Uchiha are the ONLY clan to have inherited the potent chakra and dojutsu of the Shinju through their progenitor Indra, and as such their bodies are the only ones fit and suitable to bring out its full potential. The Mangekyo Sharingan does put a strain on the user, hence why the Uchiha do eye

Sakura actually begged Tsunade to take her as an apprentice, literally being the only one to do so. Naruto was the first to be trained, and Jiraiya only trained him out of respect for Minato. Sasuke was actually sought out by Orochimaru, the best of the sanin, and as I was discussing with someone else for all his faults Orochimaru was only adult outside of the Uchiha in canon that gave a damn about Sasuke. Sakura is literally the only one who had to beg Tsunade to train her, and she only did that after Naruto and the others failed to bring Sasuke back.

It's worth noting that Tsunade outside of her healing doesn't have much going on for her. She's not genetically distinct, and as Madara and the databooks state, she inherited nothing from Hashirama and, like Sakura, has pitiful reserves of chakra. Tsunade herself is jaded following the deaths of her lover and brother.

In the medical nin department, Kabuto has surpassed Tsunade and Sakura. The guys' skills are unmatched. He invented his own version of mitochondrial regeneration on his own and nearly killed Naruto by severing his chakra network or something like that. His medical expertise is what kept the dying Kimimaro alive and Orochimaru's body from literally falling apart when his immortality jutsu ran its course. He invented all sorts of medicines and poisons for Orochimaru, took edo tensei to a whole new level greater than Orochimaru or Tobirama had accomplished. He also strengthened his body and life-force through genetic engineering to learn Dragon Sage Mode, and incorporated the bloodlines of several people and made their abilities his own.

I definitely agree with you there on Fugaku and Mikoto hating her but masking their feelings, lol. Honestly, I don't know how'd either of them react if Team 7 was created in the AU I presented, although I'm sure they'd be upset with all the stress and bullshit Sasuke would have to deal with in this scenario. Maybe Fugaku would step in and intervene since again in this AU I presented the Uchiha's power, representation, and influence in Konoha is as it should've been from the start. Hello Boruto fandom, Never once watched Boruto, never even got past the Kazekage Rescue Arc, personally I think Ikemoto is a bit off his rocker because- how in the world did you manage to make this world even MORE sexist but y'know

so I'm having fun with what i would have liked to see in the next gen, as an original fan, and I am desperately trying to get rid of the ninja brainworms that have gripped me before workflow picks back up. (I'm actually going crazy on Milanotes)

I did some other rough brainstorming in the past and this is kinda building off that: Boruto Hinata

Thoughts:

It strikes me as really odd, for how catastrophic and world-ending the fourth war was, that there were seemingly no major repercussions or casualties. That's just not realistic to me. More than one main character should've died. It gives more emotional weight to someone like Kiba, who doesn't have any big role beyond the War, and thus gives his character a purpose that isn't just "Im gonna be Hokage #57" (KANKURO IS ALIVE I AM SO SORRY KANKURO )

The front lines weren't the only places being targeted, villages and safe houses were under siege, resulting in countless civilian, genin, and chunin deaths.

Mei stays Mizukage instead of that spineless, random guy.

I have some ideas for the injuries that the "crippling wounds" category sustains, but it's important to mention that "crippling" only means "not fit for active shinobi duty" since that's the bread and butter job of ninja society, so the severity of the injuries varies greatly.

I'm also aware that medical ninjutsu is like a magic eraser when it comes to stuff like that, but I rationalize that medics were more concerned about helping their patients survive rather than making sure their patients will be able to fully recover. Everyone in the injured category went too long without the proper surgery because they wanted civilians and lower ranks to have access first. Even then, the medical team was stretched extremely thin, so- consequences.

Retired: again, in context of "retired from shinobi duty". Majority still have active jobs. Alongside T&I, Ino still runs her flower shop; Tenten sets up a weapons shop right next to it; Shizune is the volunteer hospital head, meaning she doesn't get paid much, and tutors/helps/does paperwork (Sakura is a top medic who occasionally visits for emergencies- she's mostly busy with medical-related missions); Kurenai and The Boys™ teach at the academy; Karui's teammate, Omoi, moved with her to Konoha and he is now the best babysitter in town- though really he mostly looks after Chōchō and Shikadai when their parents are busy. He lives with Karui and her family, they're like siblings.

Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon were all trained under Naruto during the blank period. However, Moegi was the only one able to reach her full potential because she managed to escape the War with no major wounds. She is now currently stronger than Canon Konohamaru Sensei was.

Akimichi Choji & Akimichi Karui

Yamanaka Ino & Yamanaka Sai

Uchiha Sasuke & Haruno Sakura

Shinki, Mitsuki, and Kagura were all part of a Transfer Student Project. All willingly went, All are now full citizens.

I really didn't see Metal or any of the other evicted teammates serving a purpose to the Narrative.. Maybe Metal still exists in the future, the others I do not care about I'm sorry.

Kawaki was adopted when Boruto was around one (1) and a half. Himawari wasn't conceived yet.
