YEARS AGO
“Okay, Sakura push!” Karin encouraged, stressed that Sasuke had randomly knocked on her door to have her aid on his wife’s pregnancy; if it had been anyone else, the red-haired lady would’ve denied to help, but Sasuke had been a close friend to her, and Sakura saved her time ago, it was the least she could do.
Sarada was easy to push out, but Sakura had been tired, exhausted to push Suiren, and scared, Sakura sharply breathed through her teeth. “Come on Sakura, you can do this,” Karin encouraged after she passed the older twin to Sasuke, Sasuke who had stood wide-eyed as he watched his wife get on her knees.
“I don’t think that is a good idea,” Sasuke stated as Sarada quietly rested in her father’s arm.
As she shook her head, Karin briefly turned to look at the new father. “Sometimes sitting up while giving birth is better for the woman,” Karin informed and as he anxiously nodded his head, Sasuke looked down at his oldest daughter who had begun to softly cry. He was terrified, this was all new to him, he was scared for Sakura, scared for Suiren and had questioned if what the cloaked woman they had met months ago was correct.
While she had cried, Sakura struggled out a scream fore she started to push out Suiren, her body and soul in pain as she dug her fingers into her skin, her mind distant as all she had focused on was to have the last child out of her. As Karin’s voice was blocked out of her mind, Sakura had felt tremendous relief when Suiren slipped out of her, but instead of hearing congratulations, she had felt and heard the entire room fall silent.
With a deep sigh, Sakura peeled her eyes open to see what had been happening, her skin had been so sweaty, she had been aware of the pain and exhaustion of pregnancy as she had delivered other children in the past, but to go through it herself, had been an entirely different, steeply different.
As she looked down at Suiren she had noticed the umbilical cord around her youngest daughter’s neck, and how blue she had been. Awfully blue.
With wide eyes, Sakura looked at her husband, she hadn’t been aware that she had already been crying, but her body shook, as if she were about to break out into a panic attack.
Apologetic, Karin’s sight moved to the deceased baby then to Sakura. “I’m so sorry,” Karin whispered just as she reached to hold Sakura’s shoulder, the pink-haired woman immediately dodged her touch, while she shook her head, Sakura sulked.
“No,” Sakura whispered in denial. “I’m not going to let this happen!” She snapped before she unwrapped the cord around Suiren’s neck, then moved her palms against Suiren’s body, panicked, Sakura uttered words in relation to the cloaked woman, spoke about how she had been correct and how they should’ve listened to her.
As he passed Sarada to Karin, Sasuke moved to Sakura in attempt to calm her down, but the grief she had felt had been the grief he had carried, to lose someone again. She had blocked everyone out, the worried and struggled statements both Karin and Sasuke were throwing at her, and as much as she breathed in and out of her mouth, Sakura had panicked, though she hadn’t allowed it to stop her.
Sakura had done many almost impossible and difficult healing moments, but this one, bringing her already deceased daughter back to life had been the most difficult, she couldn’t just be gone, there had to be a thin line between life and death Suiren had been in the middle of, and Sakura had given herself the duty to make Suiren’s thin line to life thicker.
She had looked at Suiren with blurred eyes, wet eyes as her tears trickled against Suiren’s body, Sasuke had heard Sakura whimper, her whimpers of grief slowly turning into cries of joy when she saw her little girl slowly woke up, her blue skin turning into a lively tone and her eyes full of wonder and curiosity, so suspicious to where she had been, Suiren had commenced to softly cry, unaware of the tremendous fear she had put her family in.

PRESENT DAY
It had been three weeks since everything had happened, and this had been the Week of the Chunin Exams, presently, Suiren had been with Shinki, he had arrived to the Leaf Village a couple of hours ago and had immediately fell for the Uchiha girl’s charm thus had taken her to one of the restaurants that sold her favourite mochis.
Though he had informed Suiren that he would have to be with his extended family soon, the people being Shikadai and his parents, Shikamaru and his aunt Temari. Everyone had known the affection Shinki had for Suiren, though everyone else had wondered if Suiren had felt the same way he did, or specifically as intense.
“How’s your connection with Akane and Raiden?” Shinki questioned and with a brief shrug, Suiren aimed for another bite.
“It hasn’t really gotten better,” Suiren said, even though Raiden had shared dinner with her family, Suiren had felt like her connection with him had not increased, though a side of her had wanted to blame herself for that.
Whenever it came to Raiden, Suiren had the habit of putting a steel wall between them. “Does he still like you?” Shinki asked, even though Shinki was seen as the kid who was stoic and cold, Suiren saw the side of Shinki that curious, protective and comical.
“I believe so,” Suiren replied. “I do believe Raiden still has a big crush on me.”
“And I know that you somewhat have feelings for the boy,” Shinki said and with a steel face, Suiren looked at her plate.
“Perhaps I do,” she whispered. “I just don’t think I’m good enough for him.”
Moved, Shinki couldn’t help but chuckle. “But you can be with me?”
With a slight pause, Suiren’s eyes darkened with anxiety. “Sorry, I didn’t mean it like that,” she muttered. “I mean, you can handle me,” she gleamed as she shared her charming smile. “Raiden cannot,” she shared and with a warm laugh, Shinki bounced his shoulders as he accepted her response, though, before Suiren could say anything more, the two of them had been interrupted by Sarada, Sarada who had walked towards the outside table both Suiren and Shinki had sat on, with a knowing look on her face, Sarada greeted her sister who had returned the hello with a hug.
“With all the training we’ve been doing, I’ve barely seen you,” Suiren winced and as she quickly nodded towards Shinki, Sarada turned to look at Suiren with once more, another knowing look on her face.
“Would it be okay if I sat with you guys?” Sarada suggested and kind Shinki agreed for her rest with them while Suiren nodded for her to stay.
With a brief thanks, Sarada sat opposite them, hands flat against the table while the lens of her glasses shined and reflected the Sun. “Heard some interesting news, heard that people of the Sun Village are coming.”
“I thought that village was a myth,” Shinki frowned.
Dubious of what he had said, Suiren briefly glanced at him. Or maybe they were greatly hidden,” she suggested and with a shrug of approval, Shinki hummed in agreement, though there had been a certain expression he had on his face that made Suiren realise that he hadn’t entirely believed it. “If they do come,” Suiren said as she turned to look at her sister. “They best have a good entrance.”
⋆。‧₊°꧁ ༺𓆩❦︎𓆪༻ ꧂‧₊˚.⋆
Suiren had kicked off her sandals after she had sat on the edge of her bed, Sarada had wanted to prepare a family dinner and they were all going to be there, Sasuke had returned from a short trip and had been with his wife in the kitchen, while Suiren readied herself to exit the bedroom, though she couldn’t help but look at her hand.
Flicks of chakra had glitched into matter and levitated above her palm, Sensei Ren had forbidden Suiren from doing it on her own, as he did help her from time to time, the man didn’t necessarily believe Suiren could get better at using it before the Chunin Exams.
Perhaps he was right, but Sensei Ren had forgotten one of Suiren’s strongest attributes, her stubbornness and perseverance. As a skeleton symbol of a lotus flower glowed brightly, Suiren pushed a side smile, the hologram had slowly lifted from her palm towards the tip of her fingers, it had barely taken energy from her as it used to, but Suiren had known if she were to make it bigger, it would.
Interrupted by an impatient knock, Suiren flinched which had caused the skeleton to glitch and cackle like a snap of electricity. Aware that Sarada had wanted Suiren to be with the rest of them, the green-eyed girl had sighed. “Coming!” She called out before she shuffled to her feet and aimed towards her sealed bedroom door.
The smell of hot delicious food hit her nose once she exited her room, and she couldn’t help but smile when she made way down the short corridor, even though the apartment they had currently lived in was nice, Suiren anticipated when they would have their new home.
Their mother had been the one to set up the food, Sasuke had sat on the seat he usually sat on and had a calm smile on his face, his eyes were usually soft whenever he watched Sakura. As the twin girls held each other hands, they had let go of each other the minute they separated to sit on their chairs.
“How was today for you guys?” Sakura asked as she gathered the napkins.
“We went out to eat,” Sarada said.
“With Shinki,” Suiren brightly added.
As Sasuke and Sakura shared a look with each other fore they returned their gaze onto their youngest. “What about Raiden?” Sasuke curiously asked and with an empty look, Suiren held up her chopsticks near her face.
“What about him?”
As the pink-haired woman sat down on her seat, she tugged on the back of her dress. “I thought you and Raiden liked each other.” Sakura said.
“He’s cute,” Suiren nodded as she dug into her food.
With a look of disapproval, Sakura’s eyes shadowed with annoyance. “We just had Raiden over.”
It was three weeks ago, Suiren had thought. With a side glance towards her sister, Sarada fixed her red framed glasses up her nose. “But I don’t want to be with him,” Suiren smiled and it had been her charming smile, the charming smile Sakura didn’t know if she loved or hated. It was usually the grimace she would use to get away from trouble she had created, and as often as she used it, was as often as she won it.
“But he likes you, and you were technically leading him on,” Sakura had argued, it had been anticipated that one of them would be a heart-breaker like their father, though Sakura had thought Suiren had embodied heartbreaker onto another level.
“He knows I don’t want a relationship with him,” Suiren nonchalantly said and with a sigh, Sakura face palmed herself.
With a knowing look, Sarada glanced at her father who seemed to be taking in everything. “This is them,” Sarada sighed as Sasuke chuckled.
“I think I should be allowed to live a little,” Suiren stated and with her hands thrown up in the air, Sakura answered.
“You’re correct.”
⋆。‧₊°꧁ ༺𓆩❦︎𓆪༻ ꧂‧₊˚.⋆
Suiren had fallen asleep again, and her mind had been transferred to a place it had abandoned for weeks. Kawaki had been there, back faced towards her as he anxiously tapped his foot, howbeit, the second the taller person had noticed her energy had re-appeared, he had felt his heart glow in relief.
“Suiren,” he called in happiness as he immediately turned around and hugged her.
-Surprised, Suiren chuckled as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. “It appears as if you’ve missed me,” she kindly teased as she felt Kawaki pull away from her.
His hands had still been against her shoulders, scared that if he had let go of her, she’d disappear again. His usual cold steel eyes had been portrayed like the reflection of a sky, his orbs shaking that mirrored the adrenaline he had felt. “Where were you?” Kawaki forcefully inquired, his grip around her tense enough for Suiren to shrug him off.
“I was in the real world, focusing on things that are real,” Suiren replied and offended, Kawaki stood up straight, his eyes shadowed.
“You don’t think I’m real?” Kawaki asked and remorseful, Suiren placed her hands against her hips.
“Of course, I do,” Suiren said.
She had forgotten how intense he was. As she could feel him stare into his eyes there had been an awkward silence, as if Kawaki had been deflated of his joy on seeing her. “Are you okay?” Suiren had asked and as he looked down at his feet, he had felt embarrassed with the way he had expressed himself, or how he revealed how vulnerable he was to her.
“I just really needed you,” Kawaki softly replied. “You’re the only good thing in my life, Suiren.”
With a short smile, Suiren’s eyes twinkled. “That cannot be the truth Kawaki,” she said, her charismatic smile enough to bring him to grin. “Come on,” she said as she suggested another hug, Kawaki easily folded his arms around her, his face coated against her long hair as he softly breathed her in.
“Do you feel the same way I feel about you?” Kawaki asked and with her face pressed against his chest, Suiren peeled her eyes open in deep contemplation, she had speculated she had felt sorry for him, for his circumstance and how he was a vessel. Perhaps it had been up to her to find him, and she had been too worried about herself and her self-existence.
With her jaw clenched, Suiren looked up at him. “Don’t you get happy when you see me again?” Kawaki asked as he trained his sight on her, there had been a certain look on his face that had displayed the deep infatuation he had for her. The infatuation that had symbolised his obsession, his need to be with her all the time, the need to feel her, to speak to her.
She had been unsure, but there had been a certain commodity that had pushed her to nod her head, and when she moved her head, he had kissed her.
His eyes had been closed and hers open, but she had kissed him back, soft in contradiction of his intense embrace, so she had closed her eyes, shut them and had wanted this to be over with, and when she did, she had felt herself fade away in his arms, be pulled into another dimension different to the one she had currently been in.
⋆。‧₊°꧁ ༺𓆩❦︎𓆪༻ ꧂‧₊˚.⋆
“It’s you,” Suiren shakingly breathed out, she wasn’t sure if she was relieved to see Sora again, or had been filled with anxiety to see the Dragon in front of her. It had been quite some time since they have seen each other, and Suiren had wondered how many souls would attempt to possess her mind, sometimes she had felt like her mind was slowly not becoming her own.
“You should say thank you,” Sora said and surprised, Suiren pressed her hand against her stomach, quick to catch on what the Dragon Spirit had meant, she had been aware that he had been speaking about what happened between her and Kawaki. “It’s interesting, because when you wake up, you will have no memory of what happened between you and him.”
Eyebrows furrowed, Suiren’s arms rested beside her. “Do you have anything to do with that?” She asked. “Wiping my memory of him whenever I woke up?” She investigated and without having to hear confirmation from the Dragon, Suiren’s eyes sharpened in disbelief. “Why would you do that?”
“You have more important things to work on,” Sora replied, he had barely seemed guilty for what he had done, truthfully, had been self-righteous with how he controlled Suiren’s mind and interaction with Kawaki.
Confused, Suiren had now moved her hands to her hips. “If Kawaki is not important, how comes I wake up in the mind place all the time?”
“Kawaki is lonely and he needs someone,” Sora said, the tone of his voice hadn’t changed in pitch, and Suiren hadn’t heard an inch of empathy from the being, and even if Suiren had not been aware if she had liked Kawaki or not, it had angrily moved the Uchiha girl to look at the Dragon with disdain.
Sora had confused her; she had been confused on what he had planned for her. She had also been upset, upset that it had been obvious that her own life was not in her hands but with what had possessed her body. “I still want a thank you,” Sora said and disgusted, Suiren twisted her face.
“I didn’t need any help,” Suiren spat out, as her body shook in rage.
“You have feelings for Kawaki,” Sora continued to say, and with her mind sore, Suiren shook her head as she heavily began to breathe. “You don’t know if its sympathy or love.”
“Shut up,” Suiren gritted as she threw eyes darts towards him. “Shut up!” She screamed and with his slitted eyes that had looked down at her, Suiren had saw them thin, his pupils like pointy needles. “I have warmth for him, I know there are feelings for him there.”
As he moved closer to her, Suiren had felt the body heat of reptile body brush through her. “And that warmth feeling you have for Kawaki is not what you need.”
“And you think you know what I need?” Suiren bit, nose scrunched as she bared her teeth at him, if he had been human, Suiren was sure she’d attempt to fight him, but Sora was a Dragon, terrifyingly larger than her and would be able to attack her with a swipe, and if she did murder him, her chances of living would become thinner than a single strand of hair.
“I do know what you need, and it is the Sand Stone,” Sora replied and as she stood up straight, curious to what he had been saying, Suiren clenched her fists, a part of her still annoyed at him. “The Sand Stone is closer now,” he explained. “And it’s that other lover of yours, Shinki who has it.”
Surprised, Suiren raised both of her eyebrows. Is that what that day she had taking care of Himawari had meant? When she was randomly transferred to the Land of Air and the Village Hidden in the Sand, the loud humming noise that increased the closer she got to the Sand Stone, had it meant to symbolise Shinki?
“You need to get that Sand Stone,” Sora directed and as Suiren looked back at him, her face stern, she clenched her jaw. “Take the Sand Stone from Shinki and take its power.”

Sweet like Dango - Sasuke x civilian reader

“Shino-Sensei has given us homework.” Itachi exclaims as he hugs your leg in greeting. Sarada’s just waving quietly, taking a seat next to her younger brother Keiji at the table.
“Really now? What did you get?”
“We’re supposed to write down what a normal day looks like.”
“Your own or that of someone else?”
Itachi looks at his twin sister for help, already having forgotten half of the assignment.
Sarada pushes her glasses up and looks over, relishing the fact that she’s the smarter one again.
“He said he would like it if it’s about our family but we can choose someone else if we want to.”
“I want to write about Mama and Papa.” Itachi exclaims excitedly. “But if Sarada wants to write about Papa, I can write about Mama.”
“I want to write about the Hokage!” Sarada tells him pointedly. “That’s more interesting.”
You can hear movement at the door, Sasuke making more noise than necessary to let you know he’s approaching and you’re quick to soften the blow Sarada’s trying to deal today.
“Well, don’t you think Boruto might want to write about his father?”
Sarada’s face falls, but you’re quick to redirect her. “If you really want to write about the Hokage, you could ask Kakashi-san. I am sure, Grandpa would be happy to tell you all about it.”
Sasuke steps inside the Kitchen at that moment, which has Keiji looking up from his drawing, stretching out his arms to him in a wordless plea.
Sasuke steps closer and leans down to kiss the top of Sarada’s head before picking up Keiji.
Keiji’s needy, Itachi’s always excited, and Sarada tends to feel like she’s got the shortest end of the stick. Especially with the youngest set of twins now at the stage where crawling turns into walking, demanding more and more attention.
“Hi everyone.” Sasuke’s voice is calm and steady, as usual, but you can tell he’s agitated by the way he holds himself.
You untie Hitoka, your second girl and fourth child, from your back and hand it to him. Predictable as she is, the little one is fast asleep.
“Can you get her to bed?” You ask and he nods, telling the kids to wait with their stories until he’s back.
Mikoto, her younger twin sister, is still wide awake, waving her hands and babbling from where she’s tied to your chest.
“You’re a smart girl.” You tell Sarada softly, “I know you will do great work no matter who you pick.”
She sucks up the attention but her perfectionism still throws a shadow over her face. “But I want it to be great.”
“What did Shino-Sensei say exactly? If you know what’s expected, you’ll have an easier time deciding on it.”
She repeats the assignment and you wait for her to make the connections as Itachi helps to set the table with you, a task that mostly involves keeping Keiji distracted before he can accidentally throw another plate down.
“Shino-Sensei said he wanted us to write about our parents but you do so much together, Itachi and I will have almost the same paper.”
“I’m sure Shino-Sensei doesn’t expect you to invent something new.” Sasuke’s back, his shoulders a bit more relaxed now. He taps Sarada on the forehead, a gesture you know reminds him of Itachi. “And I don’t see your mother that often during the day, at least not half as much as I’d want to.”
“Gross.” Sarada mumbles and sits down, pointedly taking a sip from her water. “Can we eat now?”
-
The next morning, you wake up at three because even after maternity leaves and a change of shifts, your body is still used to the early hours a bakery demands.
But you’re not mad at it, have long learned to embrace it, as it gifts you precious moments. Morning is when the Uchiha household is at its calmest. Sasuke’s a light sleeper and an early riser, often awake the moment you move closer to him. Your children are the product of early mornings spent in each other's company.
It’s easier for him to spill his worries in the morning, to tell you about a memory that resurfaced, an emotion that had held him in a chokehold the last day. It’s when he can let himself be held when he can rest.
Itachi is usually the first to wake up but reads in bed until Sarada stirs as well. In the mornings, they are a union, Sarada picking Keiji up from his crib while Itachi climbs up the counters to start the coffee machine. By the time you smell the coffee, the youngest members of your household can be heard, a quiet murmur from Hitoka and excited babbling from Mikoto.
You make breakfast while Sasuke directs the chaos. Itachi needs to be reminded to check his school bag, Sarada needs help with her hair, Keiji’s pulling on everyone’s pants and Hitoka is crying unless she’s being carried.
Today, Itachi and Sarada sit at the table with their notepads ready.
“Do you always make rice, miso soup, and natto?” Itachi asks while Sarada eyes her father. “Do you always drink two cups of coffee in the morning?”
“Yes.” You both answer at the same time. “Who wants a fried egg?” You add.
As usual, Itachi helps with making the Bentos. It’s still only three, one of Sasuke and two for the kids to last until lunch. The smaller kids stay with you at the bakery until noon.
Sarada’s on Keiji duty, letting him draw on her notepad while Sasuke takes multiple trips to get the dishes into the dishwasher. He’d be faster with two hands but he manages with one.
“What are you going to do now?” Sarada asks.
“I will meet up with the Hokage to discuss missions. If he has one for me, that’s what I’m doing today. If not, I’ll meet up with Kakashi-sensei and train until noon when we have lunch. After that I’ll train with you and Itachi until it’s time to close the shop.”
“Can I come with you?” Sarada asks. “To the Hokage, I mean? Or to train with Kakashi? It’s for the paper!”
“Can you miss a whole day of class?” He asks back and she hesitates.
“If you want.” He says when her agitation becomes visible. “I can take you tomorrow. Both of you, if you want. I normally don’t do missions on Saturday but we can visit Naruto and show you how we normally do things.”
“Really?” Sarada’s face lights up like he’s just made her the best present possible. He probably has.
“Yes. Promise.” He links his little finger with hers and then with Itachi who smiles up at him like his father hung the moon.
“But now we have to get you guys to school. Say bye to Mama.”
Itachi hugs you, Sarada waves and Sasuke kisses you before the three of them leave through the forest, the quickest route to the academy.
You’ve got a bit more time to gather everything, take Keiji’s hand, and walk the shorter distance to the little bakery that has been in your family's possession since the first people settled at what is now known as Konohagakure.
The name is still the same, even though there’s now the Uchiha Symbol adorning the sign above the door. You moved out of the apartment above it when the second set of twins were on the way. The comfort of only having to walk down a set of stairs to get to work is easily outweighed by the comfort of being able to fit all children into one house.
You know that your family might no longer be the talk of the town but it’s certainly still a topic people like to discuss.
Had you ever interacted with Sasuke before he left the village? You had, but it had not been very public. No one knew that you and Itachi had been friends - or something like that - before the massacre just like no one knew that he had asked you to look after his brother when he was no longer there. You were only eleven when Itachi left the village and there was hardly more you could do but offer him a sweet treat every time you saw him but the taste must have edged itself into his brain, making him remember you after all this time.
When he came back, things were different. It was no longer weird to be older than him and the fact that you knew his brother in a way no one had before seemed to be the comfort he sorely needed.
Sasuke went from being a regular customer to being engaged to you in a time span that felt perfectly natural to you but surprisingly shocking to everyone else.
Now the family was growing with no sign of stopping - not that anyone ever asked you how many children you were planning to bring into the world. Something about Sasuke made them hesitate to form questions like that at all.
But the interest in your person has certainly gathered more people in your corner of the village, your bakery now being frequented regularly by Civilians who wanted to catch a glimpse of that famous Shinobi and by Shinobis who wanted to catch a glimpse of the Civilian girl that managed to pique Sasuke’s interest.
-
As lunchtime rolls around, you’ve managed to wrangle Keiji into napping in the corner behind the counter. Hitoka and Mikoto are sitting in high chairs overlooking the bakery, a welcome sight to most customers who greet the children with warm words.
Shohei takes over for you just in time for you to start cooking, food almost ready when Itachi and Sarada make it back, both of them still filled with questions.
“How many customers do you have during morning shifts?” Itachi asks.
“Are you making curry again?” Sarada’s eyeing the pot. “Can we have tonkatsu tomorrow?”
“Sure, honey. Can you set the table? About 85, I think.”
Lunch is as calm as a meal with five children can be.
After that, Sasuke gathers Sarada and Itachi to train with them. If Itachi isn’t in the mood to train, he lets him stay with you at the bakery where the boy is usually eager to learn everything about your profession. His Dango needs a little work but he’s already coming up with ideas and the recipe he made you try out last fall had gotten a lot of praise.
You close the shop around six and Sasuke only misses that when he’s away on a mission. The kids are usually tired out from training by that time, unlike Keiji who’s been drawing and playing in the bakery all day and now gets to have his father until bedtime. You often see them at the lake, Keiji running laps around his father.
The evenings are quiet in the Uchiha house hould, not as calm as the mornings, but still soft in their own way.
Sarada and Itachi usually sit at the kitchen table to do their homework or lounge in the living room, each twin cuddling one piece of their younger twin set. Hitoka likes Sarada more while Mikoto makes grabby hands at Itachi every chance she gets.
When the chaos in the kitchen isn’t that big and the weather outside isn’t that nice, all of you end up in the living room together, cuddled up like a giant pile of tired house cats.
It’s your favorite thing in the world because it makes you feel like everything is alright and everyone you love is cared for.
It’s Sasuke’s favorite thing too, because at times like this, he feels so perfectly normal that he can look into the future and think to himself, yes, the Uchiha Clan will be great again. But this time, they will do it right.
-
When your children get their assignments back, Itachi, as usual, demands that you read it.
It’s good writing, not spectacular, but he's a good student.
One passage stands out to you, however.
My family is like a plate of Mitarashi dango.
Mom is soft and moldable, like the dough. But my dad is serious and a really awesome Ninja, so he makes up the crispy and slightly harder edge.
But our parents love us really much and gave me a whole lot of siblings, so we are the sweet sauce that covers everything. One thing alone wouldn’t be tasty but the whole thing together is an amazing treat!
You laugh as you set down the paper and can’t help but think to yourself that he’s right.
Maybe in another universe, you’d never befriend Itachi or if you did, Sasuke wouldn’t be interested in you. Maybe in another Universe, he married Sakura or some talented Anbu Shinobi. Maybe he’d only have one child or none at all. Maybe he’d never come back to Konoha.
Your heart goes out to all that possible versions of your husband, hoping that whoever and wherever they are, they are happy.
But you hold on to the man you have, the one that makes up the crispy side of your marriage, who lets himself be coated by the love of his family.

so it seems sns shippers are still spreading this misinformation no kishimoto never said that in fact three was whole interview of kishimoto stating that. Naruto and Sasuke relationship based of the one he has with his twin brother naruto himself has referred to Sasuke as his brother multiple times they have the souls of two brothers with in them not just Chakra confirmed by naruto databook 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the reason naruto and Sasuk never ended up together is simple the so called coding you claim doesn't exist
Its simply you who has convinced yourself that your Romantic headcannon is officialy canon
Kishimoto has had naruto refer to Sasuke has his brother since naruto part 1 he had naruto tell itachi he was more of a brother to Sasuke than himself has naruto tell sarada that family isn't just blood related while flashbacking himself saving Sasuke in naruto gaiden and then proceeded to make them the reincarnates of actual brothers
Kishimoto never intended for naruto and Sasuke relationship to be interepted as romantic accept that fact

“So, do you plan on bringing a fourth kid into the family?” It was meant as a joke but Sasuke almost spat out his drink having to move Sarada on his lap encase it spilled on her. She didn’t pay any mind and continued to happily baby babble to Boruto.
“Your joking, right?” And here he thought Naruto was starting to act mature suggesting to meet up at the park rather than his usual ramen stand. He even insisted on bringing the kids along for them to also bond, his older twins Satomi and Saori were playing in the flowers still in sight since they knew not to go off to far whilst the four of them sat on the bench.
This wasn’t the type of conversation he imagined.
“Well, it’s not like you have to have them right now. I’m just curious if you and Sakura-Chan talked about it.” Not really, talking about more kids didn’t seem necessary when Sarada herself couldn’t speak yet and the twins were still young needing all their attention.
“Where is this coming from?” At first Naruto seemed to hesitate to reply, almost embarrassed which wasn’t like him at all.
“Me and Hinata were talking last night, and we decided that once Boruto’s old enough we might try for another. I mean seeing your older two act with Sarada got me thinking that I didn’t want Boruto to be an only child. And I’m sure he’ll be a great older brother too.”
Ah, that made sense.
“So, you wanting another kid means we must? Do you not remember Sakura giving birth to twins?”
“Hey! I’m fully aware, I was only curious since I’m sure Sakura-Chan would love to have a kid that isn’t a copy and paste of you.”
Touché. He smirked rolling his eyes.
“Very funny.” The two were then interrupted when he felt a light tug on his sleeve to see his two daughters with flower crowns.
“Papa, Papa, look, we made flower crowns for Sawada and Bowuto.” They smiled, Satomi put one on Sarada and she clapped delighted whilst Saori put hers on Boruto who only blinked seemingly confused at what was on his head.
He then made a little fuss not liking it.
“Aww, I think it looks cute buddy.” Although cute was probably not the look Boruto was going for. Naruto then turned his attention to the girls asking them questions.
Sasuke couldn’t help but smile fondly at his daughters talking animatedly. Yes, he was perfectly content with his little family and if they did end up having another baby in the future, he has no doubt they’ll be loved and taken care of just as much.
The twins were planned, or at least one of them was.
When Sakura first told him the news, full of excitement and glee it wasn’t long until the rest of his family found out and they even had a small celebration for them.
And then she found out they were having twins. Embarrassingly Sasuke had fainted on the spot after hearing this, not his finest hour he’ll admit. It was one thing expecting a baby on their first but twins. She was so small, and whilst he had no doubt his wife could take care of herself Sasuke had refused to take any missions until the two were delivered safety. Even with his mother insisting that they would take care of her or his in laws. Sasuke didn’t like the idea of leaving Sakura alone knowing she was carrying not one but two of their babies.
Sarada on the other hand wasn’t planned but after the first two, they were more confident in what they were doing. He felt more at ease on taking missions and leaving her by herself. But he still made sure to ask his or Sakura’s parents to take care/keep an eye on her. Sakura was also excited since Naruto and Hinata were expecting which meant their little one already had a play date.
The thought of adding another baby… what kind of surprise would they have installed for them.
“What if she ends up on having triplets?” Having triplets would mean there would also be a chance for them to be three girls and whilst Sasuke didn’t care for the gender, the thought of having six (as if three wasn’t enough) girls and having to deal with all the boys, heartbreak…
His stomach turned queasy at the thought.
“Uh, Sasuke you okay? You look kind of pale.”

Brief Description:
Aiko has long, dark brown hair and wears it in a twin tail style. She has blue eyes.
She is the youngest child of Chihiro Osaka and Neji Hyuga, as well as their only daughter. Inheriting the Osaka Clan's shapeshifting abilities, she has been recognized as Chihiro's heiress, and a future head of the Osaka Clan. Despite her natural abilities and talents, she feels a sense of pressure to do well for both her sake and the sakes of her parents.
Aiko enjoys reading, especially non-fiction books. She has such a hunger for knowledge, and enjoys sharing her little fun facts with others (even when they are not necessarily wanted). Lately she has been reading anatomy texts, and is considering studying medical ninjutsu in the future. She is not afraid to speak her mind, and can be a bit too honest at times. But she always means well, and is quite a happy-go-lucky girl.
Like her brother and cousins, she has also studied Gentle Fist, even though she does not wield the Byakugan.

Wanna know something hilarious?
A NaruSaku kid would've been COMPLETELY overshadowed by literally any other hypothetical Offspring
Imagine if Naruto got with Sakura
That would mean Sasuke's possible options would've been with Karin, Ino or even Hinata (pair the spares)
Sasuke x ANY of those combos would've completely screwed over an NS kid genetics wise
Sasuke + Karin = A Child born between a Full Blood Uchiha and an a Full Blood Uzumaki with Sharingan and all the capabilities that come with it, Lots Uzumaki Stamina, Fireball Jutsu, Chakra Chains, Chidori, and a Built-In Healing Factor. Could've possibly unlocked a New Doujutsu.
Sasuke + Ino = A Child born between a Full Blood Uchiha and an a Full Blood Yamanaka with Sharingan and all of it's Capabilities, Fireball Jutsu and Mind Transfer Jutsu
Sasuke + Hinata = A Child born between a Full Blood Uchiha and an a Full Blood Hyuga with EITHER Sharingan or Byakugan (or Both???) and all the Capabilities that come with them. Full on Genjutsu and Taijutsu Abilities. Fireball Jutsu, Twin Lion Fists, 64 Palms, Susano'o, Rotation, Chidori, AND not even getting into the fact the hypothetical Child would not only be of Hagoromo AND Hamura's lineage (just like Boruto and Himawari) but could've also unlocked a Brand New Doujutsu if Boruto's Jougan is any indication. (Who knows if it would've still been Jougan or a Sharingan-Jougan hybrid)
Now let's look at the possibility of a
NaruSaku Child
Now how do we judge how a Naruto and Sakura Offspring would've turned out?
Well let's take a look at their actual Kids
Naruto + Sakura = A Child born between a 1/2 Blood Uzumaki and an a Full Blood Haruno (lol) would result in...
A 1/4 Uzumaki and 1/2 Haruno Mix.... With Shadow Clones, Rasengan, Sage Mode from Jiraiya and Super Strength inherited from Tsunade (lol)
Judging by Boruto and Himawari, this kid wouldn't have the Uzumaki Stamina since neither of them appear to have high Chakra Reserves. Unfortunately it's too diluted since they are only 1/4 Uzumaki
Even ignoring Kurama's death (😭)
Naruto still wouldn't pass down anything from Kurama to his kids
Rasengan and Sage doesn't come from Naruto but rather Jiraiya
Strength and Byakugo Seal doesn't come from Sakura but rather Tsunade (and Mito)
There's no guarantee that they would've gotten Tsuna-er I mean Sakura's Healing Jutsu either (Sarada is terrible at it and she doesn't use it at all in the Manga)
Now let's take a Look at where Boruto, Himawari, and Sarada's Strengths lie
BORUTO HAS:
THE JOUGAN : Confirmed to be a Doujutsu that laid dormant within Boruto and Toneri activated sooner. Now why do you think Toneri did this? Do you honestly think this was because of Naruto? Or the Girl that Toneri actually fell in love with?
KARMA/KAMA: Boruto was confirmed by the Databooks to have acquired Momoshiki's Karma because of his Byakugan Blood. Specifically his Hamura Chakra. Now who's side of the Family did he get that from?
SHADOW CLONES: From Naruto
RASENGAN: From Jiraiy-er Naruto 😅
GENTLE FIST: From Hinata
So in reality, Boruto clearly got more benefits from his Mom's side to be as Strong as he is.
SARADA HAS:
SHARINGAN: Is a given from Sasuke of course
FIREBALL JUTSU: From Sasuke
CHIDORI: From Sasuke
GENJUTSU: From Sasuke
SUPER STRENGTH: From Tsuna-er Sakura 😅
It's clear who's Genes Sarada is relying on more
HIMAWARI HAS:
BYAKUGAN: From Hinata
GENTLE FIST: From Hinata
That's.... about it really for now. Yet she's was just acknowledged by the current Strongest Character in the Manga at the moment to have really Strong Power to the point where he was shocked by it (and as of yet NO ONE ELSE in the Manga has spooked him this much)
And as far as we can see, given the above, this because of her Mom's Genes 😄
Boruto and Himawari got their Benefits from their Mom.
Sarada gets her benefits from her Dad
Sasuke literally HAD to get with Sakura in order to keep his child from overshadowing Naruto's lmao 🤣 😂 💀
I would like to point out that both Boruto and Himawari do have large charka reserves just not Naruto size since they weren't practically born with Kurama inside them constantly mix his own chakra with theirs. Boruto can make 4-5 shadow clones before becoming a genin when it needs Jonin level chakra.
As for Sarada you are right, but she did not inherit Sakura's chakra control as talent in medical jutsu is bad. Meaning her chakra enchanted strength will always be less then Sakura's and she will likely never get the seal which even Shizune in all her eyes never gotten.
So Sakura contributes almost nothing to her child and what she does give are downgraded from what she actually has.
As where Hinata has been confirmed to contributed a good deal of hers and Naruto's children talents.
No matter how you look at it Sakura is bringing down her children talent wise and most she can teach them medical jutsu and even then they need a decent talent in it which as shown isn't guaranteed to be inherited.

Noooo, has Ikemoto been doing Sarada dirty? 😭
Yes lol unfortunately, hes done her irredeemable atp, admitting in an interview to everyone that Sarada legit went to Borutos clothing store and bought and wears a mens jacket in his style which is why it hangs off her shoulder [cuz yea we TOTALLY needed the lore on that lol] is a irreparable stain on her character forever.
Why? because say what you want about the girls in Naruto, you can call Hinata a stalker, you could call Sakura a Sasuke-centric fangirl, you can say Inos annoying, Tenten is irrelevant, Karins a creepy predator, and that Temari is overrated, but you can never say any of them were so obsessed with a guy they went and bought a mens jacket in that boys honor and wore it because she was going through complicated emotions 😭 Sumire is goin through the exact same emotional rollercoaster and shes actually inlove with the boy and still hasnt gone this far, not even MITSUKI whos more obsessed with Boruto than anyone else in the series has sunk this low, its literally only her who's this pathetic over the guy 💀
Nobody can ever say Ikemoto writes the Boruto girls better than the Naruto ones ever again, and DANM sure cant call Sarada better than Sakura anymore because I dont recall Sakura buyin Sasuke style clothes cuz she was going through a rough time regarding him Im just sayin.
And this is coming from someone not even a huge fan of Sakura, Im neutral, and I liked Sarada more than her so my bias is more for Sarada than anything but not Ikemoto's Sarada, the only Sarada I respect is Kishimoto's and Kodachi's, THOSE were who actually wrote her well and in character, Ikemoto writes her as this pathetic Boruto obsessed mess who puts her ALL into this ONE guy who dont even give her NONE of that energy back, he treats her no different than he does anyone else, yet this girl done devoted her entire life to him atp to the point shes even dressin like him 😭 yea no, I will NOT stan this, fk all the way off with that.
If ppl still wanna delude themselves into believing that Sarada is well written and gonna have some great development then go right ahead, but I done lost all hope for her after this cuz imagine dressing up after a boy and not your own dad whos in the same exact situation yet the only one your 'hurting' and I guess 'grieving' over is a boy who didnt bother to call or message you once in 3 yrs and didnt even tell you about what happened to your father until 2 years after it happened but sure, thats the guy she wanna represent lol foh man.
Like what happened with Clementine in the TWD comics how ppl said she was written so OOC it had to be Clementines evil twin Tangerine, thats pretty much what Sarada is atp, this aint the Sarada we knew and loved, this is Sarada's evil twin Salad.

Ahh ur bleak primmadona fic reignited my old DOS feelings...since im assuming boruto is a thing how IS hinata dealing with this nasty fallout? Does boruto sense the Tension but kinda dismiss it?
**rubs my hands together in a cartoony villainous way** Yessss, good, yesss come wallow in the bleak primadonna AU with me, sociallinkmax. But also, I recently felt nostalgic for DoS, too, and just had so many feelings! Unfortunately, bleak politically flavored feelings, but feelings nonetheless! Join meeeee
To preface: I still haven’t consumed any Boruto, so what I do know is limited to whatever I glean from the wiki, but even before when I was doing future fic I did try to incorporate as much Boruto canon as possible—in that, canon kids will still exist biologically, even if their familial arrangements aren’t the same (primary case in point is Sarada. Like, whether or not Sakako (my ShikakoxSasuke OC) exists, and because I don’t think DoS Sakura and DoS Sasuke would end up together naturally, Sarada can still exist because of surrogacy and maybe the repopulation program intending to revive the Sharingan? I try not to think about it too hard even though my brain was the one who came up with it)
Anyways, all that said: as with Indelible, this particular AU is not great for Hinata… I don’t mean to keep going on tangents with these questions, but it kind of relates to how Neji feels about the whole situation.
And, like, don’t get me wrong, obviously Hinata’s opinions are independent of Neji’s but the consequences she has to deal with relate to how Neji (and the Branch House of the Hyuuga in general) react to Shikako 1) doing something reminiscent of what happened to Hizashi but also 2) leaving her career as a shinobi behind to become an actress.
Because on the one hand, probably Neji doesn’t feel great about Shikako’s extra judicial execution of foreign prisoners sent to prevent war—even though it’s not an exact one-to-one situation of what happened with his father, and, like, maybe even part of him approves of it because if his uncle had gotten revenge when HIS twin brother was killed for political reasons then at least Neji would have known he cared WAY sooner than the half-assed “let’s train now that you’ve proven yourself a genius” bullshit.
But on the other hand, except for TenTen—who I imagine, as his teammate, has known about the Caged Bird Seal since they were genin and has probably made several attempts to do something about it—the only Seal Master Konoha has is Shikako. So the Branch House’s current hope of removing the seal would be her. So, like… O_O … not great that she seems to have left it all behind her. And who knows when there will be a Seal Master again? They appear MAYBE once or twice in a generation. And even with the Nara clan doing sealing seminars, true mastery involves a level of innovation and ingenuity that isn’t common. (This also is after Danzo has been dealt with, which means that ROOT has been dealt with, which probably means that Shikako would have had to deactivate/remove the ROOT seals on all of those agents, so by this point the implication is that she could do it, the only thing stopping her is Hyuuga clan autonomy/laws)
All of this is assuming that Neji is alive in DoS future fic—which I think he is, because Shikako has made a lot of changes at this point to make everyone stronger, but also she’s been going through a rough patch in which a lot of her actions have taken a turn for the worse (ie an Orochimaru-traumatized Ino and one-arm-down-Shikamaru and Hot Springs/Aoba and War with Cloud) so she could use a win. But even if he isn’t, as far as I can tell from the wiki, even though Boruto and Himawari are both Hyuuga clan members (while having the Uzumaki name?) and seem to have a good relationship with their grandfather, there is ZERO talk about Neji or even the Branch House in general or, like, the whole… CAGED BIRD SEAL WHICH IS PRETTY IMPORTANT. (And, again, I haven’t seen Boruto, so maybe I’m very wrong about this. In which case, my bad.)
A generous reading would be that it was dealt with before the events of Boruto… but a petty/bleak interpretation would be that… of course it’s not going to show up in Boruto: he’s part of the Main House. And—if we’re getting real political about it—while Hinata isn’t clan heiress, she also doesn’t have the seal. And while Hanabi IS clan heiress, she doesn’t have any kids. So theoretically, the line of succession for Hyuuga clan leadership goes: Hiashi -> Hanabi -> either Boruto or Himawari, depending on how much of an “official clan” the Uzumaki are.
What I’m saying is… the ANY clans could poach the Branch House out from under the Main House by either implying or actually offering to remove the Caged Bird Seal if they were to go through with the secession.
All of that to say: Hinata is on Naruto’s side, of course, and not just by default—she also isn’t fond of killing in general and the situation, again, is weirdly reminiscent of the Cloud Incident--which means Hinata’s friendships are not doing so hot considering the queen bee nature/social capital that is the one-two punch of Ino and Shikako. Obviously Shikako is out being Kako Heijo, so it’s not like she’s doing anything to Hinata’s social situation, but considering the whole divide/secret civil war is Shikako vs Naruto it’s pretty obvious that whoever internally sides with Shikako is not going to be particularly fond of Konoha's First Lady. And Ino doesn’t even have to be active—like with Indelible, if she just ignores Hinata’s existence except for coldly professional interactions, a lot of others are going to follow, kunoichi especially.
Which would orient Hinata more towards socializing with her family. But, again, the whole Branch House and Caged Bird Seal situation. Because there’s an additional… hm, how do I phrase this... so, this isn’t intentional on Naruto’s part, but this does go back into the problem of him as the Hokage not learning/respecting clan laws but also, seemingly hypocritically, favoring his own personal interests. I’m getting real convoluted, but from the outside (by which I mean, Ino-and-Chouji-being-coldly-furious POVs) it looks like Naruto did not respect that the councilors from Sand were meant to be a wergild type thing to the Nara clan as an apology for Shikamaru’s assassination. So what should have been an internal clan matter—of the Nara clan meting out vengeance on behalf of their lost head/heir—became a village wide thing when Naruto didn’t turn the prisoners over to the Nara clan.
So that’s not great, but unfortunately it gets worse. (Lolololol, come wallow with me! :D)
BECAUSE it would be one thing if this were just a general movement towards decreasing clan autonomy in exchange for a more uniform treatment across the village. Which, I’ll admit, is needed (the clan system is literally nepotism or, at the very least, contributes to it. Like. Shikako literally offered to introduce Sakura to her aunt who worked in the hospital. She even admitted that was the route she would have taken if she hadn’t been put on a viable genin team. The fact that Sakura succeeded without that is a credit to her own merits, of course, but the hook up was still available to her)
BUT the fact that members of the Hyuuga Branch House still have a slavery/torture seal on them (presumably, if we’re being petty/bleak, which we are) and THAT clan autonomy is seemingly protected by Naruto… is not great. So, again, from an outside/cynical POV, it looks like Naruto is favoring the Hyuuga clan getting to keep their (fucked up) traditions but withheld the Nara clan’s right to the apology offering of the councilors from Sand.
Obviously, I’m not saying Naruto intended for this to happen—but from a cynical outsider’s POV it looks like he denied the clan rights and legitimate revenge of his teammate who happens to be:
1) the only person who can undo the Caged Bird Seal, which would radically decrease his wife/children’s position in the clan with Konoha’s major blood limit (there might be a Sharingan revival program happening, but that’ll take generations before its viable if at all)
2) a more qualified alternative for Hokage
So it could be misconstrued as Naruto tricking Shikako into committing a—pretty egregious—crime in order to keep power for himself/his family.
… I think I got extremely off track from your questions which… uh…
I guess it depends how much of a secret Neji (and the Branch House as a whole) are keeping their “will secede from Konoha with the ANY clans as soon as this fucking seal is off our forehead” plan. Because. Well. It doesn’t look good that there isn’t much mention of the Branch House in Boruto. And how fucking galling it must be to see Hiashi being a doting grandfather with Boruto and Himawari when there are Branch House members their age (or younger! I think Neji was younger than Himawari when the Main House put the seal on him?) with the Caged Bird Seal.
Like, if it’s taken this long to address it (and also, again, from a pessimist’s POV it looks like Hinata’s husband pseudo-banished their one hope) Neji may just assume neither Hinata nor Hanabi can be trusted to follow through on abolishing the seal, much less taking steps to remove the ones that already exist. But, as the in-law of the Hokage, he can’t exactly be seen conspiring with the other side of the cold civil war, which probably leads to his frustration being pointed at the Main House (which it should.) So… it’s not great for Hinata on the family side either.
As for Boruto… I don’t think he would catch all of it. Similar to Shikadai, he does feel the vibes from his parents that they’re uneasy around the ANY clans and vice versa. And also similar to Shikadai he’s kind of a double prince (son of Hokage and in direct line/Main Family of the Hyuuga clan, again, the biggest blood limit of Konoha) but it’s a lot easier for him; he gets more privileges and less responsibility. (Versus Shikadai’s double prince situation being the opposite where he HAS to learn/be ready to be the Nara clan heir—either Shikaku who really ought to be enjoying his retirement by now, or Kino who actually wants to be Kasuga’s heir, are the ones running the clan currently, but they are basically waiting for Shikadai to be old enough. Also, there are still no other options but him for Kazekage after Kankurou... and there’s the whole Magnetic Release thing. He’s a stressed lad.)
Weirdly enough, I like the idea that Boruto figures out a lot of what’s going on because he pays so much attention to Shikadai. Like… there might be a one-sided rivalry since Shikadai is probably Top Student in their class. He, like Shikako, is one of the rare Nara who is just always motivated and he has the intelligence, power, skill, and work ethic to back it up. And from what I’ve gleaned of Boruto’s character, while he is also intelligent, powerful, and skilled, he’s more about instant gratification/the easy way out. It’s a more balanced rivalry than what canon Naruto and Sasuke had going on, that’s for sure, but because they’re on different genin teams (and the deliciously bleak politics in this AU) it doesn’t lend itself into friendship as easily.
The vibe is, if Boruto were to ever approach his generation of Ino-Shika-Chou, it would go like thus:
1) Chouchou overtly glaring at/being hostile to Boruto because her dad, who likes basically everyone and is super chill, very clearly goes stony faced whenever the Hokage comes up. As if he is getting ready to protect people from the Hokage at all times. She may not know why, but she feels it for sure, and I think it’s something that she would subconsciously (or just straight up consciously) mimic with Boruto. Also, depending on how far along the ANY clans are in actually going through with their secession, of her generation she would be the one who has the most idea of it. In the sense that as clan heiress (or third in line if Chouza is still acting as clan head and so Chouji is still clan heir) she knows there’s a lot of large scale construction happening on Akimichi property outside the village. Definitely bigger than all three clan compounds combined, maybe almost rivaling one of the smaller hidden villages?
2) Inojin does not meet his eyes. I wouldn’t say Inojin is scared of Boruto, but what he gleaned from his parents is that the Hokage did something that causes them to choose their words carefully. That he did something that led to them being deprived of someone they love. And considering who his dad is… while it’s not exactly classic bedtime story material, I think there would have been a straightforward yet gently phrased explanation of what Sai went through as a child. Which wouldn’t exactly instill Inojin with faith in the Hokage—a single figure with that much political power is not to be trusted--and then, also, the ROOT seal to Caged Bird Seal comparison not looking great for Boruto either considering his confusing but privileged status in the Hyuuga Main House. Inojin understandably is nervous around Boruto who seems to have access to so much social and/or political power but isn’t mindful of it.
3) Shikadai is TOO BUSY AND STRESSED (and, in a way, grieving both of his parents—the father he never met who his existence seems to remind everyone of constantly, and his mother who he has only ever known post heartbreak of losing a brother, a husband, and her love for her home). He does not have time to care about what Boruto is doing unless it is an immediate threat.
All of which is to say, Boruto does notice some kind of tension but mostly because he’s trying to get Shikadai to notice him. And also because Chouchou hates his guts for seemingly no reason, lol.
Hm… I know I’ve said that Sakako doesn’t exist in this, but I really feel like this AU could benefit from a teen Branch House Hyuuga—I don’t want them to be Neji’s kid, necessarily, just an “average” Branch House Hyuuga teen will do—mostly because it would highlight some of the above mentioned issues. And it would also, on the one hand, be funny if the only thing Shikadai was a normal kid about was having a crush on an attractive older teen (which infuriates Boruto, lol.) But it would be another clue for Boruto to catch onto something weird happening if Chouchou and Inojin also have no problems with that teen, in that the ANY clans don’t have a problem with the ENTIRE Hyuuga clan (just the Main House, aka the part that Naruto is directly connected to)
… and that concludes my rambling villainous monologue that only vaguely answers your questions. :D

There's Auruto & Hanasita gens (bsu's fan family) and Saruto & Sanada (bsa's fan family)
And in it, Auruto & Hanasita gen have all the good ships, except ksa.
But in Saruto & Sanada, it has a copy of all ships and it has the cringy bsa and ksu.
And in it, some Saruto & Sanada fan created Hanasita and her twin brother Soruto in a pic next to Saruto & Sanada and Hanasita had short hair yet Sanada had long hair????
Sanada basically looks like Sakura before she cut her hair with Boruto features.
Oh, and in some of their fanarts, Sarada had the Hokage's hat and big chest. They're so insecure about her body.
And in another one, Boruto and Sarada were staring lovingly into each other's eyes and he had his arm around her and pulling her into a kiss as the kids made funny faces in the background.
yeah, I heard of them but never bothered to search them up.
of course it’ll have all the bad ships because it is a bad gen. I can’t take the names seriously.
if anything, whoever Salad ends up with, if she has a daughter, her hair will be short since Sakura passed on her short hair to Salad.
Sakura had a short chest, what makes them thing that Salad will have a big chest? main girls always have a small chest.
Bolt will never show so much emotion to Salad, heck, if he’ll be oh so in love, it’s basically like him showing so much love towards Namida. so by their logic, BoruNami shows love towards each other.

💫 FROM NARUTO TO BORUTO FANFICTION💫 #3
Official name: Unexpected
Only here on En here. From author personally.
P.s. sometimes dumb! Oops. (Daichi/dai/day - one person)
Hinata saw this mess when she returned from the store.
A lot of people, incredulous whispers..
- Naruto-kun?
..And hung up.
Two fighting Naruto - not news of course. But it was hardly a clone. Even more so.. Another.
- Hinato-san.. Maybe he has a double life after all? - Iruka breathed out resignedly. Helped is called..
"Nope, something's wrong," they both thought instantly, resolutely walking forward.
But it has already become clear.. These are two separate people. Even so... Yes, they are similar, they are the same.
- And you listened to the whole conversation. Daichi calmly spread his hands. - Just don't hit, and so you can repeat. In short, we ask for help in finding the seals that carry the gates of the dead behind them. Frankly speaking, this is all known at the moment, and if it were noble, dear, unshakable..
- Finish with the epithets, we still have to persuade people somehow... - The detached Mikoto remarked gloomily.
- ..In short, we just need to find something, I don't know what, and, depending on the type of seal, break it, or impose another one. While the dead are not stretched, everything can be done quickly and quietly..
Iruka and Hinata looked from different sides, then at their feet, then at each other.
- Still, what is Naruto's opinion?
Sensei asked first.
- They appeared out of nowhere, and they confuse me enough.. I only ask for confirmation of their words. Since it's so dangerous.. - A look at Hinata. Clinging to Sasuke is also nearby..
"If you were a girl, Sasuke, would you be as fluent?.."
Daichi interrupts the flow again.
- We were here about half a month ago.. That means there are only four left. Ask Kurama how he likes the new ones.. Neighbors. And Sakura-chan... Thank you. We live on the next street, in case someone suddenly... It will be interesting. We dare not delay, dear family.
With an expression of complete indifference, "we tried to reason with you," Haruno was already walking.
Sasuke finally approached Naruto very quickly.
Crossed shoulder to shoulder with Day ...
"If you were more attentive, you would have noticed that he is nervous not just in front of the Hokage...But also like Sarada in front of me" - Flashed at Uchiha.
...But after the young man, three co-directed.
Actively arguing with Boruto Menma, and Sarada in the middle. Mitsuki, of course, also came running from training, joining his teammates in silence..
-..And I'm telling you that Onitsuki is still much tastier. You just haven't tried it like my mom's!
- Yes? And as for me, noodles are still much tastier!
- Only if it is cooked with love. - Perhaps it sounded funny from the mouth of a child.
Sarada quickly pulled Mitsuki behind her.
- And what is this twin? - The boy asked quietly.
- You have no idea at all.. Do you know who's leading us?
- Another sudden twin. What happened?
- They want to neutralize certain seals in order to prevent a catastrophe. And apparently, their worlds have already collapsed.. Because this is the son of Sakura and Naruto. And next to Sasuke and ...
- Naruto too, though I don't want to think further. That... Is the black-haired one with them?
- According to them, Sasuke was a girl. His companion?...Yes, with them. Do you have any ideas and suggestions?
- We should watch them.. Because two of them are jinchuriki. And no offense to you, but Uchiha.. They always look like they're planning a coup d'etat.
- HEY, I ACTUALLY HEAR! We're not up to anything! Just asked for help!
Menma immediately flared up. Of course, you won't hear it here a couple of meters away from them.
- We wouldn't have asked if my brother and sister were fine. And it would be great without your relatives! - The boy snorted, squinting like an animal at those discussing. - Your parents are unlike themselves, what is Sasuke worth, even if he hasn't really visited his family, but as for Naruto, it's always welcome.
- Menma, I understand that it's not easy for you to put it mildly, but let's discuss this at home? Moreover, Mikoto is catching up there. Do you want to buy onigiri on the way? At the same time noodles, and then there is nothing left.
- If the whole kitchen stinks to her again, you cook dinner.
"Not a child, but a mini-Sasuke when tired! Someday he will listen to me, but apparently this is limited to his brother and sister.. Speaking of sister"
Daichi turned around anyway.
- Are you with me, or go home faster? And also...
- I'll tell you at home. - Mikoto snapped grimly. - Menma, I'll say it again. No need to snap at everyone, I'll see you again and you'll stay at home.
- You will do it, of course. If I go out at home, it will fall apart on the rocks!
Menma clearly didn't like the idea of eternal learning. Moreover, with the elders - he tasted the charm of this, and he no longer wanted to claim the title of "best" in the family.
- Tomorrow without a morning break.
- Mikoto!
- You're too hard on him. Maybe he'd better get to know his peers better? So he doesn't really communicate, except with "boring adults" - It seems that Daichi really didn't mind getting to know the locals better.
- I remember the charming warm welcome of your mother, in the coccyx it responds for a long time. - Now Uchiha was skeptical. - Do you think it will work? They looked at us like idiots.
- It'll take you for a ride. At least one cool kunoichi is definitely with us!
- It's a nice fact that you love your mother so much and you had a normal relationship in the family. But you know, it's not cool for an orphan.
- If you're serious, point your finger where my parents are. - Dai instantly frowned. - If I'm still hoping for Sakura's support, and you obviously don't claim Sasuke's support, that's no reason to freak out.
- We just haven't talked yet. Sorry, I should go home. Behave normally, Menma.
Poking his brother in the forehead, the figure of Uchiha quickly disappeared. Apparently, she's really fast.
- She's always very.. - Boruto started, but here to continue..
The one who was addressed has already decided. Uchih's younger brother.
- Gloomy? So he sleeps three hours a day. I wouldn't have bitten off my hand, otherwise one of them already seems to have succeeded. How's it going with you and chidori and rassengan? - Menma asked.
- What do you need? And you're kind of on the same level. - Boruto answered.
- Definitely not. If you want to check - okay, they won't forbid me to walk. You're a kid.
- That's the topic. Yes, whatever you want, but I would have defeated you.
- Great, dobe. Then tomorrow at lunch. Will you oversleep? And drag your friends. Get acquainted. By the way, did you pass the exams without injuries? If you're interested, there's Naruto left If it's interesting, then Naruto stayed hungry for Sakura and Sasuke.
- Well, as you want. I would sleep it off..
- ..But pride is your middle name, guys? - Joking Dei.
Sarada was about to leave.. But she responded anyway. Mitsuki smiled.
- I don't mind. However, I'll be a little late, they promised to take me to training around ten o'clock. - Uchicha nodded.
The gray-haired man nodded stiffly.
- Also. But rather because my dad and I will play and read until late at night.. Well, we'll think of something.
"They are very strange. It would be nice to go straight to the house.." - Sarada flashed ..
..Mitsuki tried not to squint in the direction of the "newcomers".
"They're all.. They alarm me. They themselves said that they can become like villains, break the seals with chakras. They said to search, being in front of everyone. Why would they hide? To not use their abilities? Why then did the guy that Naruto and Sakura's son reveal himself right away?.."

CHAPTER ONE - ENTER: SUIREN UCHIHA.
WORDS - 3,991.
RATING - G+.
SUMMARY - with talks of their father, suiren attempts to hide away the fact that she needed her father back and when team thirteen leave to their mission to the land of waves, suiren is advised on her issues with her fire eating nightmares.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Audibly, as her twin, Suiren was similar to Sarada but it had been known that Suiren had captured the girlier essence between the two of them. Evidently, Sarada had been girly but Suiren had distributed the feminine attribute of always caring what she looked like, getting up early in the morning, brushing her teeth, doing her face-routine, styling her hair and perfecting her outfit; currently the two had sat on the floor of Suiren’s room, Sarada in her younger twin’s aid of painting her nails a nude pink colour. Together, the two girls had always felt in ease in each other’s energies, huddled up in Suiren’s poster decorated room and eating desserts their mother, Sakura, had formerly made for them.
Suiren’s room had been the same size of Sarada’s room but had been painted a light blue colour and had been embellished with pictures of her favourite band famously known as Starfire. Even though Suiren was girly, there was a grunge-sovereign aesthetic she had displayed that had made her emergence enigmatic, similar to her father. Who they had currently spoken about, their father Sasuke was always known as an enigmatic and mysterious public figure, the topic of the Uchiha man was rather lumbering and damp for them; whenever they had asked their mother why their father had left, she would tell them it was to protect them and the village, but it was never enough for them.
“Do you think he’s going to come back?” Sarada asked, her eyes concentrated on Suiren’s nails as she finished her right pinkie finger, ere she began Suiren’s left hand and Suiren had gently shrugged her shoulders, no matter how much she had tried to make it seem like she hadn’t cared about where her father was or if he was going to come back soon, Sarada knew Suiren secretly worried and cried for him to come home. Though, she never mentioned it.
“Mother said the two of you were inseparable,” Sarada told, “wherever dad was found you were there, or wherever you were found dad was there, mum said that everyone found it cute.” Sarada timidly smiled at the story her mother had told her a couple of days ago and Sarada could tell Sasuke had favoured Suiren, but Sakura did mention that their father had loved the both of them very much, it was just the condition Suiren was born in that had made the aloof man authentically protective over the younger twin.
“He never speaks to us,” Suiren belatedly spoke up, she didn’t want to make her sister feel like she was having a one-sided conversation and adhered it was best to respond back. “I don’t know if he’ll ever come back but I do wonder what he’s doing and if he ever thinks about us.”
Aside from being sad that her father had disappeared, she had in truth had been angry with him, she didn’t like to show it but it had seemed like Sarada had always known what she had felt. “I can tell you’re angry,” Sarada forwardly commented, and Suiren had looked up to her sister whose empathetic eyes shielded behind her red-framed glasses.
“How do you know?” Suiren breathed out, “how do you always know?”
Entertained by Suiren’s curious look, Sarada widely smiled, her eyes glinted in tease as she closed the cap of the nail polish, she had finished using on her. “It’s a twin thing.”
Over it, Suiren rolled her eyes but as Sarada had always been someone to pay attention, she could see the big smile Suiren had on her face as she briskly but gently threw her head back. “How would you feel if dad randomly came back?” Sarada asked as she got to her feet, she dusted her knees, her eyes were currently off Suiren who nimbly shrugged her shoulders.
“I wouldn’t know how to feel,” Suiren truthfully answered, she had silently admitted that she had loved the shared time she had directly shared with Sarada, but she had grown quickly to be bored of the arsenal of questions Sarada had urged her. “I need to sleep; I have a mission tomorrow.”
“Oh right, sorry for taking up time,” Sarada quickly apologised and Suiren bounced her shoulders uncaring Sarada had taken up some time, Suiren always liked being in her presence.
“Do you want to sleep in my room?” Suiren asked and Sarada shook her head.
“I’ll sleep in my own, goodnight, Suiri.”
Elated, Suiren beamed at her older sister who made way out of her bedroom. “Goodnight Sara.”
Tumblr media
With her hands around her throat, Suiren quickly sat up gasping for air, too dissociated to realise the atmosphere she was in, however, when she realised that she can breathe, she had eventually allowed her hands to let go of her throat.
The area blank and endless had nonplussed Suiren, on the other hand, it wasn’t like Suiren hadn’t had this dream before. It would always begin with her being woken into a white abyss, her attempting to save breath as if oxygen were about to run out and then her then realising that she was safe, for now.
Eventually, a red door, far from her would appear and Suiren would make sure that she would be able to get to the exit. In such wise, currently, Suiren had stomped her feet against the white grounds, ardent and determined to free herself from this realm.
A bright roar emitted behind her, currently, knowledgeable why she’d always run like her life depended on it, blazing fire tracked and trailed after her which had constructed the young girl to be ardent on making it out of the white realm. The fire was fast and agile, but, luckily, the red door had grown closer for the girl’s exit.
Panicked, Suiren had reached for the door, her body and energy intense as she could feel some of the fire kiss her skin, the young Uchiha had ripped the door open and quickly leaped into the obscurity that had soon welcomed her and caused her to crazily wake up from her acute slumber, her skin sweaty and dark locks slightly curled. Suiren had examined the room around her in order to process the area around her and had felt relieved when she recorded, she was in her room.
Tumblr media
Unwell and damp, Suiren had pulled herself out of her bed and dragged herself out of her room, ambitious to drink ice cold water, she had sluggishly walked into the kitchen. Even sick, Suiren’s awareness were still spiked enough to feel the recognisable presence she always drifted to, her mother.
The warm and nurturing energy her mother had always brought had somewhat healed some parts of the bedridden energy she had currently been in. Sakura had immediately felt the young presence enter the room and had hastily turned to look at her youngest child, briskly bothered by the state she saw Suiren in. “Oh, Suiren, come to me,” Sakura pleaded upset, aside from the sweaty skin, whenever Suiren caught a sickness, her hair would get really curly in consequence of the excretion.
“Did you have another nightmare?” Sakura kindly inquired and softly Suiren nodded her head desperate to hug her mother.
As Sakura inserted a quick embrace to her youngest child, the pink-haired woman had been too intent and immersed to rid the young girl of her short sickness, as she pulled out a chair for the dark-haired girl to sit down, “I’ll make you feel better,” the mother hummed and Suiren softly plopped herself against the kitchen chair and weakly rested her upper body against the cold table, the icy touch giving her some relief.
“I want water,” the young girl muttered and quickly, Sakura fixed her water to drink for hydration. As Suiren busied herself on drinking the cold beverage, Sakura’s soft hand glowed in the natural healing colour of green, the soft whizzing sound the action created soothed the long-haired girl who had presently finished with her drink and if it had not been for her mother healing her, she’d have the hiccups.
“I want the nightmares to stop,” Suiren randomly commented and receptive, Sakura had pulled her hands away the moment she finished her mini-task.
“I can give you pills to make them better,” Sakura aided and Suiren softly shrugged her shoulders.
“Maybe I’m having those dreams for a reason,” Suiren doubtlessly muttered, “actually, no matter how much I want them to stop,” she trailed off, with her sight now levelled with her mother’s, she tightly gripped the glass cup her hand was tied around. “I need to know what they mean.”
“If that’s what you want,” Sakura accepted, “but if it goes worse then I’ll have to put you on medication, okay?”
Receptive, Suiren had beckoned her head, with her back currently leaned against the chair she had sat on, Suiren had silently remarked of the conversation she had shared with Sarada, curious enough to want to share the discussion with her mother, but covert enough to not want to stress her mother, but this was her mother, her mother always knew when Suiren was keeping something from her.
“Spit it out,” Sakura hummed and eventually she had pulled off the coat she’d wear whenever she was in one of her shifts in the hospital and it was a coat Suiren really liked, when Suiren was younger, she was caught trying her mother’s clothes on, it was an adorable sight to see and the pink-haired lady could tell that this twin that sat in front of her was going to be the fashionista.
Suiren lightly pulled her head backwards, slightly humoured and comforted that her mother could always read her. “Sarada and I had a talk about dad,” Suiren slowly informed, “we just wondered if dad loves us and if he’d ever come back.”
“Your father loves the both of you so dearly to the point that he’ll sacrifice anything of himself to protect the two of you from the danger that lurks outside the village,” Sakura easily explained, but she had wished that she didn’t have to get to this level of almost having to expose his secret mission. Howbeit, Sakura knew Suiren was an intelligent girl and wouldn’t convey what she had heard to other people, but the moment Sakura had answered Suiren, she had saw her doe eyes glisten in interest.
“Danger that lurks outside the village?” Suiren repeated, curious to what else she didn’t know. Tired, Sakura’s palms gripped the wooden table in front of her, she sighed while her eyes gently closed. “I know papa is strong but how comes he never visits us?”
“Because the danger will follow him back here, and that’s the last thing he wants,” Sakura explained, and compassionate, she had brought herself to her daughter and raked her slender fingers through Suiren’s long hair. Sakura didn’t mind that Sarada liked keeping her hair short, but she loved the fact that she was able to play hairdresser whenever it came to Suiren. “All your father is doing is protecting the village but mostly our family, okay?”
Considerate, Suiren nodded her head before she had rested the side of her cranium against her mother’s stomach. “You need to get back to sleep,” Sakura reminded and perceptive, Suiren pulled herself off the chair she had previously sat on.
“You need to go to sleep too, you tire yourself out all the time,” Suiren had gently smiled at her mother who tiredly waved her hand in her direction, quietly reassuring her little girl that she will get to bed soon.
With her back turned towards the pink-haired woman, Suiren walked down the corridor and casually walked past her bedroom door in aim for Sarada’s. The juncture Suiren pushed the entry of her twin’s room open Sarada had easily woken up from her slumber, it had seemed like she wasn’t asleep for a long time, Sarada could be a heavy sleeper if she was comfortable enough, and their home was her sanctuary.
“Can I sleep in your room?” Suiren politely asked and immediately, Sarada had made room on her bed for her younger sister.
“Did you have another nightmare?” Sarada asked.
“Yeah.”
Gently, content, Suiren closed the door behind her and crawled onto Sarada’s bed and briskly got comfortable on her sister’s cot. “Mum’s back,” Suiren lightly informed, she had her back faced towards Sarada who had gently pressed her stomach against Suiren’s back to embrace her into a protective hug. When Suiren first began to get her nightmares Sarada would hold Suiren in a strong bear hug and would tell her that it was her way of guarding her, and would tell her that the nightmares would be too scared to come for any of them, because the both of them were together, and for Suiren, it would work, she would sleep peacefully and would forget all the terrors that would try to frighten her.
“I know, I felt her when she came in,” Sarada quietly responded, “get some sleep now Suiren.”
“Okay.”
Tumblr media
Team Thirteen was the group Suiren had belonged to, her sensei was Ren Tanaka, or if you were traditional, you’d go by Tanaka Ren. He was an excellent Wind Style user; he hadn’t originally lived in the Village Hidden in the Leaf and was said to come from the cities outside the village.
Ren had been a father figure to Suiren, especially with his other student, Akane, but he was usually there for Suiren. Ren was known to be a handsome man, his hair dark and eyes purple, his skin contrasted his hair, known to be fairly pale with a bunch of beauty moles on his face, due to his handsomeness, a bunch of female students had wanted him to be their sensei before they were put into teams, specifically Sarada’s best friend, Chocho Akimichi.
Suiren’s first team mate, Raiden Nakamura, a student who is a practitioner of Water Style had belonged to a prestigious clan in Konoha, known for their Kekkei Genkai, a Dojutsu known as the Dekishigan, which had meant drowning. The Dojutsu would make their victim feel like they’re drowning from the inside of their body which can lead to outcomes of death.
Raiden was a popular student, aside from the fact that he belonged to a prestigious clan, it was because he had much fan girls, he was perceived to be calm and collected, and could be very sarcastic. He had an interesting connection with Suiren which was interpreted to be romantic by Ren and Akane who weren’t surprised the two would take a liking to each other, even if Suiren was “less obvious of her feelings”, there were certain things she would do or say that had finalised their pondering.
Raiden was a brown-haired boy and had a pair of green eyes and normally wore outfits in a dark colour scheme. Suiren’s last team-mate, Akane Ikeda, she was like another sister to Suiren, though Suiren had perceived the girl as more annoying than her actual sibling. Akane was an orphan and was famous for being prodigious with weapons, she had looked up to Ten-Ten and was a student that was astonishing when it came to Earth Style.
Akane was known to be straight-forward and witty, but she was one of the kindest people in Team Thirteen, after Ren, after Raiden and after Suiren…
She had a unique appearance, white hair and purple eyes and wore blue colours on her clothing that had matched her skin tone. The entire group felt like a family, treated each other like they were each other’s homes. Moreover, currently their mission was to retrieve back stolen goods that belongs to the Land of Water. When they were first tasked of the mission, all the students had complained on why they weren’t given any dangerous missions, but the Hokage had to remind them that they were Genin, not S-Rank Ninjas.
“Why do we never get dangerous missions?” Raiden repeated, the entire group had arrived to the gates that had been opened for them to leave through and humoured Akane had glanced at Suiren before she had said anything.
“Hokage-sama gets nervous putting sweet Suiren in dangerous positions,” Akane responded which had caused the girl to roll her eyes.
“Maybe I should use my privileges to kick you out of the group,” Suiren smiled just to have the white-haired girl nudge the dark-haired Uchiha in her ribs.
“Why can’t we use trains?” Akane asked once she had straightened herself on her feet. Time has changed, people usually didn’t need to use their feet to drag themselves across destination to destination, verily, when trains were introduced to the ninja world many older generations were against the idea and had argued that it had made the younger generation lazy and Ren had actually been one of them who had thought of that.
“I want you guys to practice your stealth,” Ren easily responded and Akane lightly scoffed and aligned herself to speak with her Sensei as Raiden and Suiren shared a confidential conversation.
It was nothing new to the group, Akane and Ren observed when the conversation between the two lovebirds got more hushed and discreet, it had meant that it was a moment for the both of them. Even though Akane loved jumping into their hushed conversations and annoying the two of them.
“Is there anything okay with you?” Raiden asked, Suiren’s concentrated and confused look had caught his attention the moment he had saw her today, Raiden could always tell when something was wrong with her, he would call it his Super Senses when Suiren would call them annoying, it had always made him laugh but he had wished Suiren had understood how much he cared for her.
Dismissive, Suiren shrugged her shoulders. “I’ll get over it.”
“It’s unhealthy when you do that.”
“You’re not my boyfriend.”
“Not yet.”
Humoured, Suiren pushed herself to laugh, forthwith open to speak about her issues. “It’s just a lot, the main one being about my fire dreams and my dad.”
“Your dad’s back?” The team exclaimed and out of ambush, Suiren flinched once she had recognised the rest of the group had been listening to her conversation with Raiden, and that had caused her to become flustered that her Sensei and Akane must’ve paid attention to the conversation Suiren and Raiden had before she spoke about her current situation.
“No, my dad is not back, and if he was, I’m pretty sure the entire village would be speaking about it,” Suiren fairly replied.
“That’s true,” Akane muttered, “it’ll be cool to meet your dad, he’s so ho—I mean talented.”
Hastily, Suiren sent the white-haired girl a deathly look during the time Raiden laughed at his team mate’s cover up. “You two can walk further behind if you want a more private conversation,” Ren offered and the dark-haired duo had briskly taken his idea to chance and pulled themselves away from the rest of the team while Suiren had thanked their teacher for the suggestion.
Raiden had always been aware of the nightmares Suiren would have, and he would try to advise the Uchiha girl with what suggestions he would have for the fire dreams to leave her alone but it seemed like none of them would work. Suiren had categorically appreciated his efforts.
“What if your fire dreams have something to do with your Fire Style abilities?” Raiden mildly implied and fairly, Suiren had taken his comment to attention.
“Perhaps,” Suiren added, “I don’t know how to control my fire powers too well,” she said, for instance, Suiren was amazing with the element, it was just that it was too able that she would set things she didn’t mean on fire.
“Have you ever tried to allow the fire to take you?” Raiden curiously suggested and surprised, Suiren had thought about it.
Astounded, she had shaken her head. “I was too focused on running away from it.”
“And you were too focused that you had forgotten that you are fire-proof,” Raiden joked, and embarrassed, Suiren had blushed at his comment.
“I forget it whenever I’m having that nightmare,” she truthfully replied, “but, I’ll try to follow your advice the next time I sleep.”
“I’ll watch over you,” Raiden asserted and Suiren had glanced at him as if he were a clown.
“Thank you, but you’ll have to get some sleep, you cannot be tired in the morning especially since we’re doing a mission,” Suiren explained and stubborn, Raiden crossed his arms as he had pondered about what she had said.
Softly, Suiren had curved her eyes, gently annoyed at his adamant behaviour. “I truly don’t need you to watch over me, Raiden, I’m not your responsibility,” she avowed and before she could receive any response from the boy, Akane had directed the two to catch up with Ren Sensei and without any second thought, Suiren had scurried off to be in touch with Ren again.
Tumblr media
Eventually, the group had arrived to the Land of Water, they had been greeted by a very old man and another man to some extent around the same age as their Sensei. The man had introduced himself as Inari and had informed the group that the very old man who stood beside him was his grandfather, Tazuna.
“I’m Ren Sensei, the leader of the group,” the dark-haired man attentively acquainted himself before he curved his body to his students and directed them to make themselves familiar with Tazuna and Inari.
“Raiden Nakamura.”
“I’m Akane Ikeda.”
“Suiren Uchiha.”
That was the moment she had felt the air grow ice cold, hastily, Tazuna and Inari looked at each other, taken aback, they had taken turns to examine the dark-haired girl who had stood awkwardly, sandwiched between Akane and Raiden. “Like Sasuke Uchiha?”
Familiar with their reactions, Suiren had nodded her head. “Yes, I’m his daughter.” Suiren had grown acclimated to people’s behaviour whenever she had said her last name, people would usually grow cold towards her because her father was known as a villain during his teenage years, even though he had tried to atone for his sins after the Fourth Great Shinobi War, people were still stuck on hating him; if people weren’t cold to Suiren when they learn of her last name, they would usually be very careful of what they would say or do around her.
“Your father along with the other Team Seven members saved our land, they helped us take down villains,” Inari gladly explained, “you really look like your father, your mother’s genes barely show.”
Stiffly, Suiren had smiled at Inari’s efforts to make her feel welcomed. Akane slightly turned to look at Suiren, an odd smile on her face as she encouraged the Uchiha girl to speak. “People say I look like a good mix of my parents, I just have my father’s colour scheme,” she dryly joked, but between Sarada and Suiren, the two girls had realised that Suiren had just had a really darker shade of her mother's eyes.
“Are you going to be sleeping over at our home or in a hotel?” Tazuna questioned and the young pupils looked up at their Sensei, even though the idea of sleeping over Tazuna’s home was cordial, the pupils would rather stay in a hotel.
“Ah, hotel,” Ren neatly replied, “but we will be coming over.”
“That’s great, that means you guys can eat our food, I know you guys will like it,” Inari proudly smiled, and the pupils courteously agreed that they would be content with the food the family would supply to them.
With his hand on top of Suiren’s head, Ren signalled his head towards the men in front of him, “that’ll be great, we’ll just put our things away and come over,” Ren courteously smiled before he waved Tazuna and Inari a goodbye and left with his group.

Sasuke and Naruto thoughts
I've been re-reading the series and I also got some of the novels so I'm just rambling about Naruto so just putting that under the cut.
I was talking to a friend about how Naruto and Sasuke are the true love story of the original and how it was choreographed and telegraphed no matter what. Sasuke knew he loved Naruto earlier, because Naruto needed to grow in that area and the last fight was their realisation.
I've read meta explaining this and maybe it's my background (I teach English and Literature) and the points are well thought out and make sense. But for the het ships, I just can't find compelling points unless it is a retcon, or things like the Retsuden novels.
And I am in the process of reading them and...Yikes. Especially Sasuke's story...which sadly reads like a fanfic of someone who didn't get what they wanted, so they're going to impose their own version and push for it being canon.
I guess what kind of scratched at my brain was that even in fanfiction, you still work from the canon motivatios and then go to town. At least, that's how I view it and you build it up from there.
Sasuke doesn't feel *real* in Retsuden. Yes, people can change, but with both Sasuke and Naruto...They are twin flames. Whether they meet up at the Shag Shack once every two weeks while they take care of the village is beside the point. They both come first in each other's lives.
(And it is heavily implied even in the new canon that's always the case. I think Sarada and Boruto have stated this in so many words. And their wives know, but they want their men (prizes, status symbols), so they adhere to this, even though everyone is pretty miserable no matter what way you paint it)
But all of Sasuke's actions, like the ring and being all over Sakura don't work due to what we see of him before. There's no building up to him getting to that point. He has a thing with Naruto because they grow together. Sakura and Sasuke don't. Naruto and Hinata don't.
There's never this separation between them, like in other media where the partners establish they're done with each other. Or not.
And it reminded me of the 2003 Battlestar Galactica, where despite Starbuck and Adama trying to leave each other, and marrying other people...The tie was always strong between them. No one ever loved them like they loved each other.
Lee Adama's wife knew this and tried and he did too. Starbuck and her husband too.
Adama and Starbuck basically show everyone how strong that tie is when they get into a ring and end up going from a friendly boxing match, to them beating each other bloody and then both acknowledging what is between them.
And I immediately thought of Valley of the End. Because it was exactly that.
There is no real defining moment for the het couples in Naruto like that. It's all very "Yes, well get the epilogue cleaned up" and go on to the sequel.
Like no other scene with the canon couples lived up to that intensity and that love. Both declarations of love were ignored. Domestic life is distant and cold and there's no real connection. Like when Sakura buys flowers for when Sasuke comes home as if to erase all of his absences. Or how Naruto falls asleep watching a romance with Hinata and his son is there playing video games...together, yet apart.
Yet we get time and time again, proof that Naruto and Sasuke's connection that is still thriviing despite the burdens they each shoulder. They are connected and meet frequently and still just come alive when they are together.
They parent each other's kids! Naruto mentors Sarada and Boruto is Sasuke's apprentice. Talk about setting up the blended family here.
So that's why the Retsuden was so jarring because one, Sasuke went on a mission to help heal Naruto's illness. That was his main reason. The other stuff is so discordant with what we've been presented with.
And it's mostly in this one, since the last Sasuke novel emphasized how much Sasuke valued Naruto over everything. The about face is not set up for showing that. Or for him to play happy families and be some sort of prize for Sakura to show off.
I thought about it and I know this is why I am annoyed. It's not the story, but the poor story telling and shoving elements which do not belong in it and sell it as a love story.
It is worrisome because these couples are the textbook example of "We married young and now that the flush is gone and reality set in...We have nothing in common. And we're staying together for the kids"
Whereas Naruto and Sasuke grew into their relationship and that's why them being apart doesn't matter. That thread is always there and that's why they work as lovers and a couple when these other ones don't.
Temari and Shikmaru, Ino and Sai, and Asuma and Kurenai as well as Minato and Kushina work, because we see the organic growth and how they support and mutually respect each other. Ino has emphatically stated that she wouldn't stand for that kind of marriage if it were her. Shikamaru and Temari both train with their kid and work together. Asuma and Kurenai were never really shown together, but there were enough hints to show their love for each other. Minato and Kushina had history from since they were kids.
Even Fugaku and Mikoto had a relationship that was believeable.
So it can be done. But not with this and that's why it feels like cheap writing. And why it fails.

Naruto: Next Gen
Sasuke and Naruto get together and eventually (they may have been slightly drunk) decide to start a family via sexy-no-jutsu. Given Naruto's massive amount s of Chakra he ends up having twins (and doesn't get to tired having to hold a jutsu at least internally for nine+-months.
Sasuke has never actually been re-instated as a Konoha-nin as well, the former higher-ups did have his clan slaughtered...but he stays and helps a bit between also being a wandering spy due to his love for Naruto and belief in Naruto keeping his promises of fixing the Shinobi world. They originally traveled together as "advanced problem solvers" (they found shitty situations and made them less shitty. But Kakashi finally tells Naruto he wants to retire and will be naming him Hokage so Naruto has to stay and job shadow.
Kakashi had started making inroads on fixing things, though he's less than pleased at how much he does is literally fix previous generations shit. Sarutobi has massively fallen in his eyes. (Also he has had so many post-mortem trials because he feels he owes it to the dead for justice so they can rest, and for the living to see that their "good upright leaders" hadn't been so great.
Naruto isn't subtle about some of the changes he plans to make, such as intending to make the Hyuuga remove the curse seal on all current Hyuuga branch members and forbidding the seal from being placed on any knew members.
He and Sasuke and others of the rookie nine + team gai have discussed the subject a lot. They thinks they've come up with a way were Naruto won't be "I can tell clans how to run themselves" but still make it happen.
Slavery. It's illegal in Konoha and if Danzo can be posthumously tried for it for the seals binding the Root soldiers tongues, than the Hyuuga and their caged bird seal falls under that.
So years pass, and while Hisashi is actually relieved to agree to remove the seal, other members aren't and we have another "make hyuuga great again secret faction" form along with a "make konoha great again" faction that feels that Danzo had the right ideas.
Things are still tense occasionally between nations, nothings perfect...but Naruto and Sasuke along with many ninja across the nations are doing there best.
Boruto and Sarada are born during this transition period (Boruto will always claim the eldest title, for all he's a minute and 26 seconds older). (Naruto opted for a c-section as he was not going to attempt to hold a full henge during labor...he figured that was a good way to have no end of problems.)
Both Naruto and Sasuke would like to re-start their clans if possible that they and their traditions and Jutsu's might not be lost, so they agree to name one child an Uzumaki and one an Uchiha (based on if either develops a sharingan or a gift for dramatics and if one has massive chakra reserves and can eat twice their weight in ramen...it's a very strict determining system.
Sasuke is still gone from the village a lot but pops back in often to see his husband and children, while Naruto takes advantage of peace-time to be a Hokage who wears his children to work. (thy have their own play area and Naruto has clones that can take them to the park, though he tries to physically be there for at least dinner and dispel the clone that cared for them that day so he can absorb the memories and can discuss the day with his children.) Shikamaru decides to copy this habit of child-wearing as well with his own son.
It's entirely possible that since Naruto does a lot of paperwork and can make so many of himself a great many of the people who work in the Hokage Tower bring their kids for Naruto to watch... plus various friends, so Sarada and Boruto are never without playmates.
If you want to know what happens to Sakura and Hinata, no worries, Hinata formally withdraws as clan heir (she knows she isn't suited for it and Hanabi is) and eventually marries Gaara as both a political marriage and because the two have become fond of one another, both laugh over their original connection being crushes on Naruto. Kiba follows Hinata to Sand, thought a certain puppetmaster ends up being his reason to stay there. He and Temari act as more bonds forged between Sand and Leaf. (Also Neji never died due to Hinata's need to confess...)
Sakura finally fully realizes how much she...made up any romance between her and Sasuke and pours herself into the hospital ad healing for years before Lee finally gets his courage up again and asks her out and this time, Sakura finds herself happy to say yes.
Sasuke is much like a cat, and brings Naruto random things whenever he pops back to hidden leaf. Except two years after Boruto and Sarada's birth he brings back a small girl, obviously of Hyuuga descent by her eyes that he'd found. Hisashi does some digging and finds a random main branch clan member who'd "gone missing" decades before . This child most likely being a grandchild or greatgrandchild of the missing Hyuuga. Deciding that since he can't marry either of his daughter 's to the Hokage Hisashi decides this is a pretty good way to have a familial connection and so Himawari Uzumaki is adopted. (Naruto tells Sasuke she's the best present he's brought him yet.)

It had been a long day. Sasori spent all day babysitting Saori and Sorell while Sakura was at hospital--and yes, he knew it wasn't "babysitting" since he was their father, but ever since they hit the terrible twos, he felt like caretaker at a mental asylum. They just learned to walk; now, all they did was run all day while yelling baby gibberish. Sasori divided his time between chasing them and kissing bruises when they inevitability fell and hurt themselves. Sasori finally had a moment to relax after feeding the twins and putting them to bed. Also helping Sarada with her homework. However, just as he sat down on the couch, he smelt something burning. Then, the fire alarm went off. Instantly, he ran to the kitchen to find black smoke billowing from the oven. Damn it! He told Sarada to leave the leftovers in the oven so they'd stay warm for when Sakura got home. Obviously, he should have specified to turn it off, too!
He pulled the blackened, smouldering ashes of what was once lasagna out of the oven and dumped them into the sink. As if that wasn't bad enough, Saori and Sorrell were screaming from their bedroom, obviously upset over the piercing screeching of the fire alarm. And then, he heard the front door open. Perfect. A cherry atop this shit sundae.
"Welcome home!" Sasori yelled, taking a towel and fanning at the alarm to get it to shut up and also disperse the smoke.
Sakura has oddly been in a good mood all day that day. She wasn’t sure why. Maybe because her home life had finally gotten better. There was some level of peace among them. Sasori and her didn’t absolutely hate each other, or fight as much. And when they did fight, it was more light bickering rather than the explosive fighting they used to do when the twins were just born. It was kind of expected, people that lived together fought sometimes but she was so grateful it wasn’t to the point that she had to worry about the twins seeing it and assuming their parents absolutely despised each other.
Sakura didn’t hate Sasori, in fact, she liked him. Maybe more than like. Especially now that he wasn’t being a complete dick all the time. Things got so much better once he got his own room. And Sakura was happy to have her living room back.
If he kept things up, she might actually fall for him. If she hasn’t already. The thought scared her. Sakura hasn’t allowed herself to love anyone since Sasuke. Once Sarada was born her whole focus was on her daughter and– She just didn’t want to be hurt like that again. Though there was a dreading feeling that Sasori might just throw her feelings back in her face if the subject ever got brought up. It would only prove to her that she was never meant for love. That would be it for her and she wouldn’t try again after.
Sakura had got home from work early for once only to come home to complete chaos. It smelled like something was on fire, the fire alarm was blaring, the twins screaming, she could hear Sasori curse from the kitchen before shouting a welcome home at her. She couldn’t help but let out a laugh at the scene, dropping her bags and kicking off her shoes. Sakura walked into the kitchen, grabbing a metal chopstick off the kitchen table in passing, and shot it right at the fire alarm. Destroying it in one hit and silencing it for good. It was okay, she had a back up one she can make Sasori put up later,
“Seems like you’ve had an eventful day.” Her eyes moved over to the burnt remains of… Whatever that was supposed to be and raised an amused eyebrow, “Sarada forgot to turn off the oven again, huh?” Sarada unfortunately inherited her short attention span but also if you weren’t clear about your instructions, Sarada would mess them up. Sakura cupped his face, and pulled him down to her level so she could press kisses on his non puppet side of his face,
“What a good daddy you are putting up with all this.~” She playfully purred, “Maybe I should reward you later.~ But for now, how about you take care of– Whatever that was supposed to be, and I’ll take the twins.” Sakura placed a final kiss to his cheek before letting him go and trotting off to the twins’ room,
“Mamas’ home!~” She started in a sing-song tone as she entered the room. The twins’ crying turned to happy cheers. Sakura scooped each one out of bed, kissing at their faces, making them giggle and laugh, “Were you both good for Papa today?”
Sorrel scarily looked like Sasori now, in terms of face and eye shape, while Saori had Sakura’s soft face features and big eyed that she had at that age. Both their hair had gained a pinkish look to it but was still more of a red color. A blend of the both of them. They still had her vibrant green eyes. The two of them were really going to grow up to be so pretty.
The two toddlers babbled different things to her in their broken speech. They had only just started talking and knew only a few words but Sakura had an odd talent to understand what they were trying to convey. She has already been through it all with Sarada so she had time to master it. Sakura placed them down, allowing the two excited toddlers to lead her into the living room, so they could show her all the drawings they did during the day while she was away. A lot of it was just generic, colorful scribbles, but there were some of what appeared to their little family, along with one in particular that was clearly supposed to be Sasori and her with a bunch of hearts. The twins trying to convey they loved their parents. It made Sakura blush a bit but quickly shook it off, turning to smile at them, ruffling their hair,
“You both are really growing up to be quite the little artists. That must be your Papa’s blood in you.~” She happily praised.

Sakura has been so damn good lately. She hadn’t touched a single drop of alcohol since the twins were conceived, but Sasori had pushed her a little too far that night. Sakura had a hoard of alcohol under her bed that she kept close for when the mood struck. Sasori had her just so low and miserable, she just had to drink.
And drink she did.
A lot of it.
Within the hour, Sakura was completely plastered and feeling amazing. When Sakura got drunk you either got two versions of her; one where she was incredibly affectionate and goofy or one where she was super horny and all she wanted to do was fuck. Horny Sakura was what Sasori got that night.
Being as touch starved as she was, toys just weren’t completely doing it for her. She needed physical contact, and her only option at the moment was Sasori. Sakura came stumbling out of her room, dressed in only a robe. A robe that wasn’t covering much of anything. It was clear she was naked under it. One sleeve was hanging off her shoulder exposing one of her beasts. Still full from breastfeeding all the time. The bottom of the robe was spread open exposing her lack of panties.
Sasori was lying on the couch as usual, TV on. It was unknown if he was awake or not. It didn’t matter to Sakura. She climbed up over the top of the couch and plopped herself right on Sasori’s groin. The smell of alcohol was thick on her as she grinded herself on him,
“Sassoorii~” She moaned out with a grin, “It’s about time I make you useful to me.~”
To say it had been a shitty day and shittier night would be an understatement. Sasori ended up getting into it with Sakura too who, like a child, marched off to her bedroom and slammed the door shut, waking the babies from their nap and leaving Sasori to put them back down which took an hour. Once that was done, he was exhausted and fell onto the couch to watch television since there wasn't much else he could do in this damned house.
He had dozed off to the tune of late-night infomericals, only to be woken up an unknown time later by the noise of a door opening. He presumed it to be Sakura--but it could be Sarada too. He didn't get up to check and just closed his eyes again to go back to sleep. All of a sudden, something heavy landed on him--or to his groin, to be specific. He opened his eyes again with a grunt, only to see Sakura, basically naked and blitzed on alcohol on him.
Now, in any other circumstance, Sasori would have welcomed this sight, but he was still angry with her and had no interest in having sex with her while intoxicated. He may be a bastard, he had a few standards leftover.
"Get off me, woman. You're drunk." Sasori sighed, rubbing a hand over his tired face.
Sitting up, he went to push her off so he could get up and leave. If needbe, he'd go sleep in the backyard like a damn dog just to get a little peace and quiet.
