Early one morning, for no earthly reason, Sara Miles, raised an atheist, wandered into a church, received communion, and found herself transformed–embracing a faith she’d once scorned. A lesbian left-wing journalist who’d covered revolutions around the world, Miles didn’t discover a religion that was about angels or good behavior or piety; her faith centered on real hunger, real food, and real bodies. Before long, she turned the bread she ate at communion into tons of groceries, piled on the church’s altar to be given away. Within a few years, she and the people she served had started nearly a dozen food pantries in the poorest parts of their city. via Amazon

hey can we talk abt the love that went into this film. like im biased so the indian parts were my fav but. like u can tell they did their research you can tell these ppl genuinely love spiderman and the characters and writing. you can tell the animators had fun making those scenes. you can tell this was a love letter. you can tell this was a "fuck you" to the trope that the spiderman has to lose everyone (cough, no way home, cough). you can see the gentleness w which miles and gwen are handled. w which miles and peter are handled. and even the antagonists, you dont hate them coming out of the movie, you feel bad for them. this took 5 yrs to make and it was well worth the wait.

So I'm not sure if you'd call these redesigns or reimagining, But I wanted to take a crack at drawing the character from the Sonic series in a way I wish they'd appear in canon media! If you're aware of the OVA you're probably already familiar with some of the characters shown here as well as certain adornments they have! The Sonic OVA is a HUGE inspiration to me, I watched it a lot with my sibling when we were both kids- and it had a large influence on my art! It's hands-down my favorite portrayal of the Sonic franchise. I hope you enjoy my silly attempt at drawing these characters! I tried to match the art style of both the OVA as well as official artworks!

I wanted to draw Miles's parents and it started off cute and wholesome... 😭

I HC that Miles looks a lot like his mom- with hints of Gregory! I took Sara from that one stage play who is non-canon and we don't know what she looks like 👀 She apparently worked with Gregory, so office romance! Also, Gregory probably struggled a LOT in the first few years of raising Miles alone. I imagine that he was very insecure and felt like he was not good enough of a parent AHHHH 😭😭😭

This was definitely weird. After the strained cases he and Prosecutor Gavin had gone head to head on, the last thing he expected was persistent requests to get dinner.

Tamaki made a small cheer that sounded close to a whoopie!, but also like a French word he wasn’t familiar with, and Kyoya couldn’t help but chuckle as he stood up and followed the blonde, who was excitedly leading his spectacled friend through his home.

And then punched him in the arm as hard as she could. / “Ow! What the hell?!” / “Alright! Let’s get moving!”

Phoenix smiled fondly, his head lulling to the side to face Edgeworth. “This was very sweet of you. I can’t thank you enough,” he said.

And Joe offered her the biggest, dumbest, happiest grin. It was a cheap arcade keychain, but he felt like it was worth the entire planet. Because Sara Chidouin gave it to him!
