Segundo esse relato no podcast brasileiro Barbacast (tendo esse trecho publicado no canal do podcast no Tiktok) Noel Gallagher teria ido a um bordel em Copacabana no Rio de Janeiro em 2012 (quando estava no Brasil em turnê com os High Flying Birds) e teria beijado uma prostituta em público (e segundo o relato, era uma mulher muito feia). O homem afirma que tem fotos e vídeos de Noel e essa outra mulher, mas não vendeu a história para o The Sun para poupar Noel...

Essa história do bordel eu já conhecia, mas não sabia desse suposto detalhe! Se for verdade, Noel estava apenas 1 ano casado com Sara, então Noel foi infiel?

Mas o mais intrigante nessa história é: o quão crível é essa história de um cara ter fotos e vídeos de Noel Gallagher com prostitutas no Rio de Janeiro até hoje e nunca ter vendido? Excesso de camaradagem masculina ou simplesmente uma mentira?

Ahh, now that is the question isn't it. Well, I don't know. I don't think anyone does.

If there is a prenup? A while back when this was being discussed I recall reading that in the UK, a judge can over-rule a prenup if the circumstances have changed significantly since it was drawn up i.e. there are children or if the divorce would leave one party unfairly disadvantaged financially. I think this would apply to Sara, but hey, I'm no judge so take with grain of salt.

vc tbm é do time q acha q a Sara q inflamava pro noel não fazer as pazes com o liam? vc tem alguma info do pq do divórcio ou apenas especulações?

A Sara e o Liam passaram a se odiar depois que ela e o Noel reataram entre 2002/2003, foram anos de brigas entre eles, e mesmo depois do fim da banda o Liam continuou a atacar ela, então acho que a Sara incentivou sim o Noel a se afastar o máximo que podia do Liam.

Oficialmente, o Noel atribuiu o divórcio: 1- às longas turnês do NGHFB; 2- à pandemia; 3- à uma crise de meia idade mútua.

Lembro que, por exemplo, a turnê do álbum Who Built the Moon? durou 2 anos quase ininterruptos, e ele ainda abriu shows do U2 nesse meio tempo, ele até deu uma entrevista dizendo que saiu de casa e deixou dois menininhos fofos e voltou e já tinha dois rapazes com bigode ralo!

Essas turnês longas devem ter feito ele e a Sara criarem ideias e interesses próprios e independentes do parceiro, e esses novos e isolados interesses devem ter entrado em conflito durante a pandemia, já que agora eles foram "obrigados" a conviver no mesmo espaço por meses, sem poder sair e ver outras pessoas (no caso, o círculo de amizades criados quando estavam distantes um do outro), e talvez eles não sabiam mais como lidar um com o outro com essa hiper-convivência que eles não tinham há anos. (e talvez por isso o Noel tenha dito que eles "cansaram um do outro", com essas palavras).

Pra completar, os dois estavam no começo da casa dos 50 anos em plena pandemia e deve ter surgido um sentimento de carpe diem, que eles deviam aproveitar os últimos anos de "juventude" antes de se tornarem idosos e não dessem mais conta de festejar por aí (e pelo que notei, ambos até tiveram essa crise, mas ela foi muito mais forte na Sara, provavelmente porque ela teve que cuidar dos filhos durante seus 40 e tantos e não pode fazer uma grande festa nos seus 50 anos por que foi no meio da pandemia, então ela deve ter sentido que não aproveitou a juventude o suficiente, pelo menos não em comparação ao Noel, que estava viajado o mundo sendo um rockstar), e a forma como cada um queria festejar e viver no pós-pandemia fosse diferente, o que causou mais conflitos e distância entre eles.

2009: Breakup, they're both big mad for a minute

201?-2012: They are texting and like, sending their kids to the same school. possibly the most normal they've ever been.

2013-2015: Liam blows his entire life up and is extremely sad about the consequences of his own actions. I saw actual video footage of Noel saying that he's shocked beady eye broke up and he's actually sweet about it and tells Liam not to give up? who is this man. anyway while Liam will later claim Noel wasn't there for him during the divorce but as a general rule they're much nicer about each other when they're divorcing other people. this is where I become extremely conspiratorial because at some point they had to get the documentary off the ground and a second, more personal breakup is clearly going down around this time. I believe in their ability to deeply wound each other by playing cryptic telephone through the press but I think it genuinely makes more sense if they were actually talking, perhaps about a potential reunion.

2016-2020: supersonic documentary and also (coincidentally?) the apocalypse. Liam launches his solo career, Noel hates it and is pretty relentlessly mean about it and about Liam more generally. we are gearing up for the kind of tweeting/podcast commenting where you call your brother your ex-wife. I think this is also when Noel decides to drag Molly into it for some reason. Liam says publicly that he thinks Noel was waiting for him to hit rock bottom so he could be magnanimous about saving him. whether he thinks this because of something concrete noel did or said or because he's liam is a mystery. the Anais incident goes down, the vogue article comes out. we are never ever getting back together for real this time. noel says a bunch of normal and well adjusted stuff about how he wants Liam to die in a self driving car crash with Donald Trump and seeing his face makes him want to shoot up a MacDonalds.

2020-2022: the pandemic saves oasis. I'm serious. they're both stuck sitting at home with nothing to distract them from themselves and think of brighter days. apparently being trapped in a house with noel is genuinely so unbearable that Sara calls it quits (in the matter of Sara v. Noel I'm on her side). presumably this was cause for at least some self reflection. divorce is a lonely and difficult experience, sara and liam seem to legit hate each other in a way that would be a barrier to reconciliation (in the matter of Sara v. Liam I am also on her side but less so bcs she didn't get trapped in a house with him). at the same time Liam pulls off Knebworth 2022, demonstrating he can handle big events without headcasing (and without noel, and he will be doing those big events solo or otherwise). at this point I genuinely think it was just a matter of time before we were back, baybeee! let's hope they can keep it together.

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher's three-year marriage to Meg Mathews has been dissolved at the High Court. The decree was granted, along with 31 others, in a 75-second hearing before District Judge Clive Million. No objections were raised to the divorce, which is on the grounds of Gallagher's adultery with publicist Sara MacDonald. In divorce papers released later, Mathews says she found it "intolerable" to live with Gallagher since he admitted adultery "in or around late October" last year. However, Gallagher, 33, has denied being unfaithful to his ex-wife. In a statement released by the guitarist on Thursday, he said he had left because he could "no longer tolerate her behaviour". He said he only admitted to cheating in order to get the divorce over quickly. He was responding to a newspaper report on Thursday which said he had admitted he was unfaithful. 'Honest evaluation' Gallagher, who is touring with Oasis in Argentina said that reports that he and his current partner, Sara MacDonald, had had a fling were "completely untrue". In a separate statement, Sara MacDonald also denied that she had been involved in a relationship with Gallagher while he had still been together with Mathews. She said: "I feel that Ms Mathews would benefit from a more honest and introspective evaluation of the real causes of the breakdown of her marriage." Gallagher and Mathews married in Las Vegas in 1997 but separated in September last year, eight months after Mathews had given birth to their daughter Anais. Private life The guitarist's brother Liam Gallagher also split from his wife, Patsy Kensit, last year. The couple divorced in September. Nicole Appleton, of All Saints, is now seeing the Oasis singer and the couple are expecting a child together.
