The thing that gets me about this scene is that even after everything Sara did, Simon is still protecting her by not telling their mom what happened at all. And protecting his mom because he probably doesn’t want to worry her or involve her in all the drama. It makes me sad because he really is carrying so much in the family. I’m glad Simon has Rosh and Ayub to talk about things with but being 16 and taking on all that responsibility to look out for everyone else is a lot and people need to give him more credit for that.

Two observations about S3, episodes 3.01 to 3.05, before 3.06 drops tomorrow:

1. So, they just completely dropped the whole ongoing storyline of August abusing ADHD meds this season, huh? We’re not shown him taking them, or hitting up other people for them.

2. Linda really stepped up her parenting game when it came to Simon this season. Jury’s still out on how she’s managing with Sara, but Linda has been this season much more Simon’s mom than Simon’s fragile friend whom he shields from the truth. Good for her.

I had a dream there was a "cul-de-sac reunion party episode" as adults of Ed Edd n Eddy. The episode largely focused on Edd figuring out how to come out as a trans woman to the rest of the party goers. I was very disappointed to wake up to a world where this wasn't real.

....Also it was rated NC-17 and on adult swim because at one point Sara did a Line. Ed shook his finger at her and said he was disappointed in her. Even he knows how bad that can be for you. She should try smoking weed instead.

I already know I’m going to like S3 the best.

First of all, Wilmon is finally OUT (Prince Wilhelm S2 ending speech you will always be famous) so S3 >>>>>> everyone (including Rousseau) on principle alone;

And second, they really put Simon in a purple button up for his first time at the palace. Purple…representing his love for Wille. Which is now stronger than ever regardless of any upcoming conflict we might see. (Be still, my heart 💜)

and like even before this whole arc i was like lol it'd be in character if bojack were to ever pressure someone who'd been clean for a long time into doing drugs and drinking alcohol with him and getting them to ruin their life again. wouldnt that be fucked up.

i don’t entirely understand why sara would report august for drug use instead of the video. she’s in a frenzied state after the gun confrontation scene and is wanting to make things right. from what she knows, simon is mad at her for not reporting august for the video and for instead forming a relationship with him. so if she’s trying to make things right (even tho it’s very late for her to start doing so), it would be the logical conclusion that the call she made to the police was to report august for the video.
