Jason Todd with sharp canines that he accidentally nips you with all the time. At some point you kinda just have to shove your hand in his mouth to take a look and find out what the fuck he has in there that could possibly be doing this shit. He just sort of lets you without question and complains in muffled gibberish around your hand.

He does apologize profusely every time he knicks you though (and depending on what he was trying to do, he’ll lick or kiss it better). Unfortunately he refuses to do it on purpose.

But if you distract him enough with your hands tugging on the roots of his hair while he’s trying to leave a hickey… let’s just say he has a hard time focusing on being careful.

I wonder if in the boiling isles if a child's first spell, for the ones that can cast magic of course, is up there with like first steps and first words.

Cause Eda looks so proud and like she's having so much fun in this moment, which could be a teacher aspect of course! But it also happens after Eda had really started calling herself a mom. And if it is an important moment for the Isles then Eda got to experience it with both her kids!

She missed the first glyph Luz ever did, not her fault, of course, and she still gets to see the results. But she did see King's first shout powers, and got to help with Luz's first real spell circle!

It just dawned on me, how they started the fight in Winsland and made Winsweep retreat to Market. That Lux ended up dying in Market.

That the place Lux built to be the start of new beginnings and somewhere that would bring peace to everyone. That this place where Lux was supposed to be safe ended up being her tomb.

And Rat in his grief cradled her cold corpse and took her away, knowing now that the dreams that Market once held would never be fulfilled. That everyone on that bridge made it so that the hope Lux planted there would never grow now that she was gone.

it’s really funny to go from the realm where the main conflict is currently “oh no! the king died and the circumstances of his death are left up in the air until his return because there’s some really complex mind games being played right now. the kingdom might have to attack the perpetrator if need be… but we’re not sure if we will”

to lifesteal where it’s like . “i woke up and there’s 50 wardens on my front porch thanks to literally The Strongest Player and my bestie/secret third thing that i trust with my life. i die three times and lose 3 of my permanent hearts after an 1.5 hour long battle With Wardens interrupting the pvp. then i have to communicate how much my best buddy over here means to me because he thinks i’ve been using him and abandoning him which. i definitely might’ve done. And Then to make matters worse my Teammate is saying some weird shit about how he feels like he’s fulfilled his purpose and thinks i might want to leave for my Best Buddy but i just wanna be teamed with both and now he’s trying to give me a heart but i don’t want it because he also died twice today so he needs it too . and at the end of the day everything is all sorted or whatnot and there is Definitely not a newly formed teamed potentially trying to reban all the players i unbanned using the Very Very limited amount of materials found within the world border . nope certainly not!”

Rules i think you and Jason would have in your relationship:

- there is no jokes about “if I do this for you, you can just sleep with me to pay me back lol.” He does not find it funny at all and will low key lecture you on how sex is never something you owe him.

- you have a safe word for both sex and every day life. It can just mean you’re serious about something or it means for the other person to stop what they’re doing. Either way, if you feel uncomfortable, use it.

- jokes can only go on for a day max. By jokes I mean like if you told him “yeah that singular cabinet has always been painted pink.” After various vigilante incidents, it’s important that he knows what’s real. And if the other person safewords, you HAVE to come clean.

- you can go to bed angry all you want but you will be sleeping in the same bed. At the very very least, in the same room. This came about after you didn’t sleep in bed after a tough fight. Jason woke up alone in a cold sweat after a nightmare where you died. He couldn’t tell what was real and you walked in on him having a panic attack.

- you have a panic code. For instance if he says “mask?” you have to reply “copy” (I have venom on the brain) to confirm you’re ok and vice versa. You cannot intentionally ignore the code. If the person doesn’t respond in a certain time frame, Jason will show up to your location or you will call another bat to go to his.

- you have to at least cc each other on all decisions made in your living space. You wanna change the couch? All good, but let Jason know (he has weapons stashed everywhere).

- if one of you is in a bad mood, you have a code word to relay it to the other person. It doesn’t have to be the other person you’re mad at, but it just lets you say “hey emotions are running high and I want to punch a wall. I’m not going to take a joke well right now.”

- no making fun of the other person crying. There are extenuating circumstances for when you both cry over stupid movies and such, but as a general principle you can only tease about tears in the context of sex.

- speaking of sex, if one of you degrades the other, you have to tell them you didn’t mean it and do aftercare. You cannot just leave or fall asleep. Aftercare is a must.

I love how much a parent the Titan is when we finally get to see him. Like, we obviously learn quickly that this Dad-bod, sweat pants look was clearly chosen to be comforting and to put Luz at ease. But he also makes Dad Jokes! And clearly brags about Kings looks in a light hearted way! Which are such silly parent things to do! And it doesn't take long for the Titan to show the serious parent aspect.

He picks up Luz when she starts sinking, lifts her with no effort really. Then mentions that despite being stuck in the In Between Realms that he can keep watching King. Which is one of the aspects of parenthood I'm sure they were looking forward too, watching King grow into adulthood.

The Titan understands what Luz is saying, gets it on a level not many would and sympathizes with that. Then also admits to those mistakes, and doesn't offer excuses for it! He's had a lot of time to reflect on all of it, maybe even a chance to see what truly happened and how much went wrong.

He does laugh when Luz asks if what they wanted/were willing to do makes them like Belos, but when when Luz shows how much it bothers her? No jokes, no humor, just a sincere explanation and understanding. And so many of the Titan's facial expressions show concern for Luz in these moments, because they've grown to care so much for her for what she's done for King.

And then ultimately they let Luz have a choice in the matter. The choice to be a hero, to be the one to stop Belos, and take the last of that strength. There's no pushing or anything, just encouragement and explaining his choice.

The Titan is just...such a good parent, who would've loved raising King. Who honestly just loves King so much, that he was willing to do anything, and probably loves Luz to some extent as well for being King's sister and shows it through out their conversation.
