THEME: “What You Don’t Know?”

• I’m hearing the song “Say My Name” (the Calvin Harris version) by Florence and The Machine: https://youtu.be/SZhLrOghfTI?si=8gsXqoepo5M4Tqba
You are misunderstanding your ancestry and your soul’s origins. Genuine ancestor connectivity is needed. I offer personal ancestor connectivity conjure and ancestor readings.
Yes, it is possible to be many things at one time. Yes, it is possible to have a blood quantum of something that is “stereotypically” unrelated to your phenotype (how you look physically).
It’s time to wake up and find out who your ancestors really were/are. Stop guessing and following random narratives people online put out.
It’s okay to be wrong; what’s not okay is sitting back and blindly absorbing who other’s are and posing as things you’re not. It’s time to find out what you’re really made of. The truth may set you free and show you lots of wisdom, but only if you allow it.
2. If this resonates with you, consider getting a personal reading here @ https://www.iamwinklebottom.com/shop/advice-psychic-mediumship-divination/32
• I keep hearing “Olokun;” check out this video here: https://youtu.be/PrnJrCrFfHo?si=2auEL_c7CYIX9-07
This message is not for all of you.
You have to understand that you are indeed easily influenced. Be careful. Do not turn into a copy cat. It’s okay to be inspired, but do not steal from others.
There is negative energetic karma that comes from doing that.
Some of you have been stolen from.
Energetically protect what’s yours with spiritual work and affirmations. I do offer conjure services. I’m hearing “evil eye removal and protection conjure will assist you.”
If you’re interested in having someone with years of experience do these services for you, hello - check out my website: https://www.iamwinklebottom.com/shop/conjure-services/30
There’s a lot of things that you cannot see. Seek for what’s below the surface in private, secretly. Build yourself up on the inside then let it ooze outside of you, high vibrationally.
3. If this resonates with you, consider getting a personal reading here @ https://www.iamwinklebottom.com/shop/advice-psychic-mediumship-divination/32
• I’m hearing “The Big Pay Back” by James Brown: https: https://youtu.be/HFNZOk00D74?si=TzSJXXsD3HMw3CLo
Your spirit team is heavy. This is not a drill. This is not a joke or a game. They’re very, very powerful.
Some of you honor Santa Muerte, Anubis, Santa Marta, or even Olokun. All of them, maybe. Again, take what resonates; do not claim these beings without knowing for sure who walks with you.
When people do wrong to you, it hurts these people in multiple areas of life all at once. Stop looking for the “pay back” to show up in their lives. Often times it’s not going to show publicly until “the pimple finally pops.”
You may even hear “meant to be” gossip about your enemies getting what they deserve later on when you’ve forgotten about the mistreatment and betrayal they took part in.
It’s almost like your enemies are being exploited just so the news can get back to you… not because you wanted that, but because that’s what’s meant to happen.
You’re supposed to collect the memories or “bones” from your enemies’ “sentencing;” don’t let this go to your head.
Know that you’re tough shit. Cleansing and protection work is still needed for you. I offer those kinds of services, if you’re interested: https://www.iamwinklebottom.com/shop/conjure-services/30

Filomena Lubana
SANTA MARTA DOMINADORA

Mami Wata, the most celebrated mermaid-like deity from Africa who crossed over to the West
Despite being considered as an adaptation of the Western Mermaid, Mami Wata is a deity that has existed in Africa for as long as African history and culture can recollect. The half-fish half-human female water spirit is highly respected, feared and worshipped presenting a balance between dark, divine, mysterious and angelic existence. The deity is believed to be a woman with a half-human and half-fish appearance with the ability to transform wholly into any form of her choice. The deity could also take up the form of half-human half-snake. Her upper body is that of a woman while her lower body is a fish with a tail.
Mami Wata is often presented with long healthy hair, enviable beauty and a dark yet appealing mysteriousness. Her human features appear similar to that of the women in the areas in which she is.
Mami Wata traces back to the earliest of African societies as recorded by the griots and keepers of history. The Dogon’s creation myth tells the stories of Mami Wata and traces records of its existence to more than 4000 years ago. Mesopotamian myths also tell of the great water goddess in their story of creation known as Mami Aruru to be the creator of life. The name is traced to the early languages of many modern African societies today. The first root of its name is considered to be from Ethiopian and Egyptian Coptic societies. In the Ethiopian Coptic language, the word “mama” was used as a description of truth and wisdom and the term “uat-ur” meant ocean water. Another definition of the name traces to the early Sudanese society where the word wata referred to a woman. The name is often linked to a single entity but represents the strongest and most significant of all water spirits that exist. Mami Wata was developed from the African culture that believed in the existence and worship of mystical creatures. Mami Wata is the bigger goddess with smaller followers some of which were also men and had the same appearance as their goddess. Stories are told of her followers coming to shore every now and then to deceive seamen and capture them to be taken in the water kingdom. The captives were a source of entertainment until they were offered as sacrifices to her. In West Africa and some parts of Eastern Africa, the deity is called Mami Wata or Maame Wata. Morden African societies refer to her as Maame /Mami Wata. In some parts of Eastern Africa, among the Swahili speaking groups, she is called Mamba Munti. The African deity has managed to find homes in many other societies in the western world. In the Carribean and parts of Southern America, the deity is highly respected and feared with many stories around her identity. Many cultures till date worship the deity and train high priestesses who serve as a link between the people and their deity.
Role of Mami Wata The role of the strikingly beautiful goddess is to provide spiritual and material healing to her worshippers, while also protecting their emotional and mental health and growth. She is the protector of the water bodies. Many traditional groups in Africa till today do not go to the beach or fish on certain days in order to provide peace to the water deity’s home. For women, she is a giver of fertility and protector of women and children. Mami Wata has a soft spot for women who have suffered abuse. The deity is also a provider of wealth and riches to her loyal worshippers and admirers and blesses children with beauty (0ften time the beauty is said to be a destructive tool to the girls). But the deity possesses evil as much as she possesses good. Many men have been said to be captured by the deity for her own sexual satisfaction. Sometimes the men are left lifeless to be buried by the living or their bodies are never found. Women who are not humble because they have been blessed with beauty are often left baren or without a man until they compensate the deity. Mami Wata also has very strong sexual powers of sex starvation, seduction and lust. In the Nigerian tradition, Mami Wata seduces men and reveals herself to him after sexual intimacy. The man is made to swear faithfulness to the deity or die. Any man that rejected her offer is said to suffer sudden death, poverty and destruction to his family if he is married. The deity is also known to have a terrible temper and jealousy issues which often lead to the death of many.
Mami Water in Western societies For many Africans who find themselves in the Western world, specifically in the Caribbean and southern America, the deity is said to have travelled with them on the Atlantic ocean protecting them and taking some of their pain to relieve them. She is said to have capsised many slave ships that do not make it to their western destinations especially during the abolition of the slave trade. She emerged as human many times to the salves often as a beautiful girl who dies at a very young age. This was her way of protecting her people who were no longer close to water bodies. By appearing in human form in between decades, she reminded the slaves that she had not forsaken them. For many Africans communities in areas like the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Brazil she emerged to the people as Lasirèn, Yemanja, Santa Marta la Dominadora, and Oxum. Mami Wata appears in many children stories as a mystical character who often brings good or bad luck depending on one’s character. Many are warned to resist the seductive charms of the deity believing that if one can resist Mami Wata, they can live long and endure life’s obstacles. Mami Wata found her way into western societies by the 15th centuries when the sailors who mixed with the indigenous Africans and slaves found their way into their lands. In Western culture, she is referred to as a mermaid with beautiful features. Today, many Western scholars believe that Mami Wata is a pidgin adaptation of the word mermaid adapted by African societies.

How to please the spirits: Saint Edition Santa Martha
She is the wielder of the serpents, and all that is badass. Legend has said she protected a child from snakes that were sure to kill him, and made them her companions. She is the darkness, the mystery, the unflinching strength of womanhood. She is stealth and silence wrapped in green and purple, and I love her like she was my momma. Santa Marta is an incredible ally to have if you are trying to develop a backbone. She is the one who will put the heat on your tongue to make you speak up for yourself, or send a nasty wave of karma to those who dare to fuck with you. But she’s also the warmhearted friend that will remind you of your worth and check you into remembering who you are. She’s extremely gifted with witchcraft, and if ever there’s s need for protection, look no further than her altar.
Pleasing her can become one of the simplest of rituals if you allow yourself to get over the intimidating task of speaking to her. She can be very quiet, which can lead the inquiring spiritualist to feel like they’re doing wrong. But that’s just her; observing. Watching. Teaching you to do the same. She is also very honest. I can’t tell you the amount of times she’s told me ways I’m blocking myself, or that I need to clean my room, or has made something fall in my room thus make more of a mess to make me clean now. She’s funny like that (most spirits are!), but she is also not to be trifled with. When you make a promise to her, like with any spirit, make sure you understand what that entails. If you ask her for something, like abundance of wealth (which she manifests, QUICKLY), offer something back. Some material things she likes include coffee grounds, eggshells, rum, and purple flowers. Obviously these are things that are mostly very easy to come by; you can serve yourself a cup of morning bustelo & give her the grounds. If you’d like to offer something else, offer something more elevation based. Spirit guides love knowing they are helping you shirk away harmful habits, bringing you closer to your highesr self. Do something she has been suggesting to you. Meditate more. Dive into that bag of traumas you’ve been letting rot in the corner of your mind. Do more things that scare you and challenge your ego, for that is how you truly begin to blend with the universe…like she has. Be specific about the amount of time in which you will do/give whatever you offer, and allow it to manifest.
• BONDING WITH MARTHA •
The Colors Wear more purple! Its the color of royalty and divinity, and the main color of the crown chakra. Green is aligned with the heart chakra, and wearing a dark shade of it is sure to help you feel like an earthy goddess seeing growth Martha is usually depicted wearing purple and green, which are both ultra calming. Tune into your upper chakras and get groovy!
Meditating with Martha Sit in a comfortable position, preferably cross legged, and sit as still as you can. Measure your breaths evenly, and feel a column of white light fill you, flooding out of your body. Contrary to popular believe, you don’t have to play Palo music to tune into Martha (although that shit gets me hype odee). Imagine yourself in a dense forest, peaceful and cool. See yourself sitting, surrounded by trees and plants, maybe a lake full of pretty fish. When you’re comfortable in your setting, see her sitting across from you. Ask her to come forth, and animate your imagery of her. When you feel her, be polite! Say hi. If this is your first time, simply ask to learn about her; become familiar with her energy. If you’re wanting more for answers, ask for the best solution to a situation that is bothering you. Be open to whatever she shows you, and don’t be surprised if the first few things are a little unsettling. This is her way. She is unafraid, and veiless. Allow yourself to objectively pay attention, and continue on. If you’re unsure after observing, ask for clarification. Write down your visions, feelings, and any other significant moments you make have stumbled upon.
Altar Creating a space for a spirit in your home is a simple way of staying connected with them and keeping their energy by you. A nook in your bedroom or living room (or even by the house door) would be ideal–as long as it’s on the floor. Martha is basically a snake, and she’s much more comfortable on the ground. A basic altar can include a statue of her (can be bought at any botanica that caters to 21 divisions–she’s usually depicted wearing green with two snakes around her and a child in her lap), and items you’d like her to empower or offer. Try to make it a space of beauty, zest it up; mine has a purple silk sheet beneath the statue, and saint Martha incense. I leave some flowers for her as well, and most mornings I make it a habit to leave some offerings and say wassup. This is the space I go to when I light a candle for something I might want; where I go when I have some deep meditation to do, or when I’m trying to understand the aspects of myself that are strong but shrouded in fear or ego. This is where I go to crack myself open.
Offerings Giving to Martha is honestly the simplest offrenda I do. She doesn’t ask for much, and you can give her a lot in just a morning! Make enough coffee for everyone in your home (this is also a friendly gesture–if youre like me and your family leaves the strainer in the pot, you can just use that!) Serve yourself a cup, keep a teaspoon of grounds inside, and put the rest in a tin bowl specifically for her. If you wanna bless your family (or just yourself, you already made them niggas coffee) crack some eggs and clean the shells out. You can arrange them in the tin as they are, or get creative. An old friend used to glitter them up; another popular option is placing sugar in or around the shells. When you give them to her, say nice things! Talk to her. At first it feels a little odd. Most people arent used to speaking to a statue or representation of an etheric being, but as you become more sensitive to her energy you will be able to pick up on her responses.
Lesson one: Las Copas Focus on a question you’ve been pondering on as you drink a cup of coffee with a teaspoon of grounds inside; put the rest in a tin bowl specifically for her. Thank the spirit of the beans for their power. When you have almost finished the coffee, leave about ½ a reason of liquid in the cup. Open your mind up to her guidance, ask yourself to be protected, and ask whichever form of Creator you believe in to help you connect with her. If it helps, envision the picture of her above. When you start to feel her presence, simply say hello. Most people find her energy to be very sobering, protective, and strong; the way you perceive her is in alignment with the aspects of her you need. Shake the cup a little; allow the ground to move around the edges of the cup. You will intuitively know when to stop (it usually feels like a surge of energy has left my arms). Ask for help on how to read cups, and allow your inner self to do the rest. If you get frustrated or feel like you’re hearing more of your ego, remind yourself to let the thoughts pass. You can also ask for signs, and ask for help focusing. Enjoy!

Saint Martha is known as the patron saint of servants, who, as you can imagine, got pretty damned sick of being subservient. They petitioned her to help them cope and rise out of their slavery. Saint Martha returns lovers, keeps homes happy and can help turn any situation around so you are in control of it-you will decide what happens. Martha is loyal-Anyone I know who has worked with Saint Martha has said they have never been let down and those who honor her daily have very happy homes. She is also known for easing separations, making divorce or break-ups safe and easy. Mami Wata's presence is pervasive partly because she can bring good fortune in the form of money. As a "capitalist" deity par excellence, her persona developed between the fifteenth and twentieth centuries, the era of growing trade between Africa and the rest of the world. Her very name, which may be translated as "Mother Water," is pidgin English, a language developed to facilitate trade. Countless enslaved Africans forcibly brought to the Americas as part of this "trade" carried with them their beliefs, practices, and arts honoring water spirits such as Mami Wata. Reestablished, revisualized, and revitalized in the African Atlantic, Mami Wata emerged in new communities and under different guises, among them Lasirèn, Yemanja, Santa Marta la Dominadora, and Oxum. African--based faiths honoring these manifestations of Mami Wata continue to flourish in communities throughout the Americas, including Haiti, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic. Mami Watta can be called upon for any stubborn situation that needs improvement. She can return your luck, lover or money. She is often referred to as "The Dominator". Mami Wata,o Mama Wata.

“I spoke with Mother Water and she said there’s a time to be selfless and a time to be selfish. She said when opportunities come, pick wisely and to love yourself while making these divine decisions. She said there’s a lot that you know and there’s more to know. More knowledge is always on the horizon. Pay attention to days and nights.”
This is a channeled art piece that I finished quite a while ago, knowing I was channeling water, but not knowing I was channeling a specific aspect of it.
What’s callin out to you the most: shapes, colors, patterns?
I’m grateful for my connectivity and as I become more connected, my connectivity is grateful for me.

martha the dominator
… from: Illes, Judika. “Encyclopedia of Mystics, Saints and Sages” (page 475-478).
Also known as Marta la Dominadora; Marta la Mala.
Saint Martha became extremely popular in the 12th century. The famous story about her taming the dragon told in the previous entry captured the public imagination. In Spain, by the end of the 12th century, the legend and the saint had transformed: Martha the Meek of Bethany evolved into Martha the Dominator, an erotic. dominatrix spirit invoked in romantic spells and commanding rituals.
This was never officially sanctioned and a\ways considered subversive. There are two ways of considering Martha the Dominator:
-She is an aggressive aspect of Saint Martha.
-She is not Martha of Bethany, but a distinct spirit, possibly a forbidden spirit addressed by the name of an officially approved saint.
According to legend Martha tamed a dragon (tarasque) that was laying waste to the French town of Tarascon. The town is named in the dragon's honor. No one could stop the predations of the tarasque, either by force or by magical or spiritual means, so Martha set out to try. She removed her girdle and the dragon willingly wore it, as an obedient dog wears a leash. Unfortunately, Martha could control the dragon, but not the crowd. When she led the tamed tarasque before them, the mob overwhelmed her and killed the tarasque, much to Martha's despair and grief.
Although some insist that there is only one Saint Martha, some Martha the Dominator devotees prefer not to consider her a saint—because they believe a saint will not do what Martha the Dominator is asked to do. Even in the 12th century, some perceived the associations between the character in the Gospels and the woman of folklore as tenuous. This Martha, completely divorced from sainthood, is sometimes called Marta la Mala. This literally means Martha the Bad or Martha the Wicked, but once had added resonance and implications. Spanish women accused of witchcraft back in witch-huntíng era were popularly called mala wufer (“wicked woman”).
Martha was perceived as the epitome of la inala mu)er: an aggressive, assertive woman ^vho used magic to attain her goals. Martha the Dorninator is a man-tamer. Spells invoking her help were recorded by the Spanish Inquisition.
-Martha is requested to bind men just as she bound the tarasque.
-Spells attempt to make a man follow the spell caster like an obedient puppy in the way that the tarasque followed Martha.
Is Martha really wicked? Inquisition records suggest that many of the women who invoked her feared the men they attempted to control by magic. These men were perceived as controlling and physically, emotionally, and economically abusive. Although not explicitly articulated, many women who sought Martha's expertise as a monster tamer did so because they perceived themselves as being at the mercy of monsters.
Martha is an Aramaic name translated as “Lady.” Perhaps adding to Martha the Dominator's formidable reputation, the Spanish variant Maria resembles the Spanish word for death, muerte. Santa Merta, an offshoot of Martha the Dominator, has emerged in the Dominican Republic. Although she is addressed as a saint, Santa Merta is considered a powerful demon. She is accompanied by snakes and a child.
Martha the Dominator retains her popularity and continues to help women with forbidden e spells and passions.
MARTHA THE DOMINATOR OIL
1. Using a mortar and pestle, grind spikenard root shavings, licorice root, the herb sweet flag (calamus), and myrrh resin together.
2. Add this to a jar or bottle and cover with olive oil.
3. Use this oil to dress candles dedicated to Martha, or carry a cotton ball soaked with this oil for spiritual protection and courage.
A traditional chant addressed to Martha the Dominator is incorporated into love spells.
1. Dedicate a green or purple candle to Martha the Dominator.
2. Scratch the name of the person whose love you seek into the wax.
3. Rub the candle with Martha the Dominator oil, all the while focused on your desire.
4. Hold the candle in both hands and chant: Saint Martha, conquer (desired persons name)/ Keep me in his/her mind.
5. Repeat the chant a minimum of three times, then light the candle.
ICONOGRAPHY: Images of Martha and the tarasque are traditionally used to represent Martha the Dominator. The snake-charmer image associated with the African crocodile goddess Mami Wata is now also used to represent her, especially in Latin American spiritual traditions.

Second highlight of the day - welcoming this lovely statue of Santa Marta La Dominadora / Mami Wata / Filomena Lubana into my collection. She is much loved in our religion, and I've wanted a statue of her for ages; a very powerful and often feared (for good reason) Spirit who is deeply related to snakes like Maria Lionza.
