kiddos from my sandwing royal family. details below the cut.

Anole: 4 years old

Super into politics. Mad that he’s not allowed to go to meetings and such. Snooty brat with no manners. Favors Uncle Brittlebrush.

Meerkat: 3 years old

Shy and sweet. Favors Uncle Ocotillo. Meerkat is a skinny little dragon who still hasn’t grown into her wings.

Caracal: 1 year old

Contracted a disease shortly after hatching that slowly rots the membrane of her wings. Those around her are struggling to cure it and it causes her mother a great deal of stress. Caracal doesn’t seem to mind. Caracal’s mother makes her wear a cape over her wings to hide the disease from the public.

Peppy. Would love to have bejeweled scales and makes up for it by painting certain spots on her face red.

Okay so no I didn’t have an ask to answer about him but someone did ask in the replies so I say close enough

Caiman adopted Little Bug, calling him by that nickname since it was one of the only words he knew. Also yes, he has a genetic mutation where he has two tails and two stingers/barbs. Yes, she loves him very much and also yes sometimes he gets really confused why mom doesn’t have a stinger at all.

Queen Citrine: 34 years old

Queen Citrine is the current ruler over the Sandwing Kingdom. She was met with backlash originally, but the public has accepted her. (ungracefully.) She married her husband at 16.

Citrine is timid and relies on her family a lot, mostly her father. She often overworks herself, causing Drought to step in frequently. Citrine often feels like she’s failing, but really wants to impress her mother. She is waiting for her daughters to grow up so she can hand off the responsibility as soon as they show interest.

Drought: 32 years old

Average Sandwing. There’s tension between him and Brittlebrush because he believes his sister deserves better. Drought has no special position and mostly orders the staff around since his wife is busy most of the time.

He wears a bracelet on each wrist, gifts from Ceja. Ceja offered more, but Drought got embarrassed and keeps rejecting new gifts.

Drought was brought into the Royal family due to being an Animus. The family is attempting to create Animus heirs, but so far no Animus traits have shown from his children. Despite it being an arranged marriage, they (Citrine and Drought) are both happy and content with it. Citrine has forbidden Drought from using his magic unless absolutely necessary since she’s heard rumors of it taking one’s soul away.
