malec + magnus taking alec to his london flat and showing him the city, telling him about how he's lived there and what his life was like back then

Having a warlock for a boyfriend was proving tohave many benefits. One mainly being the fact that Magnus liked to whisk Alecaway to different countries for dates. Today’s agenda included going to London,where they would spend the weekend in Magnus’ London flat. Magnus had portalledthem straight into his flat, and Alec was met with a modern interior, which ifhe was being honest he was expecting a little eccentricity, but Magnus is neverone to be predictable.

“I’ll give you the grand tour later Alexander,but right now we are going on a mundane tour of London.”

“A mundane tour?”

“Mmm. No magic. We queue like men.” Alec huffedout a laugh as Magnus held out his hand, wiggling his fingers as though thatwas going to entice Alec to grab it. Which, he did. Alec is only human (well, half human) and if his boyfriend wants to hold his hand, well he’s gonna damnwell hold it.

They spent the day sightseeing. Alec was amazedby the London Eye, his eyes lighting up as they looked over the city from uphigh, a small woah escaping his lips.Magnus held onto his hand as they walked through the city, never letting go. Noteven as they stood outside Buckingham Palace and he told him about the timethat he was invited by the Queen for tea, because of course he was.

As the day progressed, Magnus dragged himthrough the high street because we’re inone of the fashion capitals of the world, Alexander; I’m not passing up the opportunityto shop. So they shopped. Until Alec felt like his feet were going to falloff, and Magnus was thoroughly happy with his purchases.

“Now, I know I said no magic, but there is noway I’m carrying any of these bags back to the flat.” Alec smirked at hisboyfriend who clicked his fingers, sending their purchases back to hisapartment. Magnus spun around once finished and grinned at Alec, pure happinesstaking over his features and Alec couldn’t help himself from stepping into hisspace and kissing him softly, Magnus humming lightly against his lips.

“I think it’s time for dinner, don’t you?”Magnus spoke softly, almost whisper like when they pulled back, not wanting toruin the moment. Alec nodded and grabbed his hand again, intertwining theirfingers as they made their way to nowhere in particular.

Nowhere happened to be a small corner fish andchip shop, with small booths for people to sit in. The couple were sat acrossfrom eachother; their feet tangled beneath the table, and smiles on their facesas they slowly ate.

“Tell me a story.” Magnus looked up at Alecwith an eyebrow raised, questioning the sudden interest. “You know, tell me afun story of your time in London. You gotta have some fun stories right?” Magnussat quiet in thought for a while before a small smile started to appear on hislips.

“Well, most of my time here was poisoned byCamille, but around the 1970’s, when disco was very big, I had come to Londonto visit Ragnor. Now, I don’t know what got in to his mind but as soon as Iportalled there he was plastered. Like off his face drunk. Which, if you hadknown Ragnor, you would know that it was something that he rarely ever did.Except this time, he was sat on the living room floor, singing loudly, wearingbright pink disco pants.”

“Wait. Disco pants? Really?”

“Oh of course, they were the fashion back then.I myself was in a bright gold pair.”

“You were wearing disco pants?”

“Yes.” Alec sat wide eyed as he tried toimagine Magnus in disco pants. And when Magnus conjured up a picture of himselfwearing them, Alec choked on his food, laughing till tears came to his eyes.Magnus sat across from him, trying to keep a feigned offended look on his face,but the sparkle in his eye as he watched Alec laugh gave away his truefeelings.  

“I’m never going to be able to look at you thesame ever again.”

“Ha ha. Do you want to hear this story or not?”Alec nodded once he had calmed down, smirking into his drink, knowing that if heopened his mouth he would start laughing again. “Okay, well I’ve always stoodby the theory of never letting a friend drink alone, so within a couple hours,we were drunk out of our minds and obviously we decided to go out and causesome trouble.”

Alec sat with fascination in his eyes and agrin on his lips as Magnus told him how he and Ragnor had gone to a club andused their magic to make random peoples pants disappear of their bodies as theywere dancing. The pair laughed at all the antics that Magnus retold, yet aftera while Magnus’ laughs started to become sombre, a look of sadness reachingdeep into his eyes.

“Hey, what’s wrong?”

“I miss him. And being back here just bringsback all the memories.” Alec moved around the booth so that he could sit nextto Magnus, placing a hand on his knee and pressing a kiss to his cheek.

“Thank you for sharing that little bit of yourlife with me.” Magnus looked up from his lap, looking into Alec’s eyes, a lookof pure love on both their face.

“I’m starting to think I would tell youanything you wanted to know.”

“Oh. Anything?”

“Mmm.”

“Maybe you can tell me why you decided to drownyour chips in ketchup then.” Magnus gasped, slapping a hand to his chest,causing Alec to laugh.

“Are you calling me out on my ketchupconsumption, Alexander?”

“Yes, I am.”

The two spent the rest of dinner laughing witheach other and sharing soft kisses between bites of food. And in that moment, thatmoment of happiness and love, Alec knew that any memory made with Magnus by hisside, no matter how big or small, it would be worth holding onto forever.

My usual order is an oatmilk iced coffee with either brown sugar or cinnamon dolce syrup. My preference depends on my mood. I tend to go for warm drinks when I’m at home and cold ones when I’m out and about. My favorite seasonal drink would be the créeme brûlée latte from Starbucks. 🥰
