#for the better half of ten years there wasn’t a day that would go by without hearing their music or seeing a video of them#they were such an integral part of my childhood/teenage/adulthood that this feels like the loss of a family member#say what you will but they were never just a band to me#they were the way I escaped the reality of a shitty home life#the way I made friends despite being relentlessly bullied#they were the way I distracted myself when the darker thoughts began to appear and life didn’t seem worth living anymore#i have too many thoughts to put in tags about this but they deserved better#anyone we decide to deem as a celebrity deserves better#this one hurt
