Hello. I really appreciate your intelligent analysis on Batman Caped Crusader. Given that you’ve mentioned it a few times before, what are your thoughts on how this show lives up to the “BTAS with no restrictions” hype it had online before its release.
Thank you for reading my intelligent thoughts :3c
I have,,,mixed thoughts on the whole "BTAS with no restrictions" and "it's gonna be dark and edgy, Bruce Timm isn't holding back this time!" marketing energy of Caped Crusader. Like on one hand I see where it's coming from, characters are generally more violent (Oswalda's whole deal, Harvey and Firebug's demise, Bats shoving his car on a group of men, etc.) and I can tell there's a lot they wouldn't have gotten away with from censorship restrictions before (the blade about to slice Miss Yvonne Francis).
On the other hand,,,,it really wasn't that dark lol. All that stuff I listed before are just shock value moments and for the most part wasn't that bad after the initial shock. Fionna and Cake felt more gory than CC. My critique for "CC being dark and edgy" is that it simply doesn't own its tone. Batman Unburied, The Battison, and even Telltale Batman weren't trying to prove "ooh look what I can get away with that this kids show can't!" they were busy telling a compelling mature story. CC's mature moments feel tacked on, instead of being baked into the dough in this metaphorical bread we're making.
I think it's a common misconception even among creators that kids media vs adult media are separated by "what you can get away with". Like adult media is where you can have sex, blood, gore, violence, swearing, etc. When no, you can have adult media that has none of those things. Creating media for a specific target audience is about appealing to that age demographic's experiences. Kids media can handle tons of dark topics! It's how that darkness is framed that makes a difference. CC's like a kids show trying to get away with swearing. Not as horrendously as the Killing Joke adaptation, but has similar problems.
#askjesncin#jesncin talks caped crusader#like this isn't as out there as what Hazbin is and I don't want CC to be that! But like Batman Unburied owned its dark tone on scene 1.#the Samurai Jack new season while not perfect owned its tone- i believe the creators saying they wanted to go harder#unlike CC they proved it. CC is just kinda there.#caped crusader spoilers

The Hidden Philosophy of Samurai Jack
🍓 ๋࣭ ⭑ 🌼 A Analysis of Samurai Jack 🍓 ๋࣭ ⭑ 🌼
Ladybug in the Forest (Samurai Jack, Season 5 Episode 2 XCIII)
Samurai Jack, a masterpiece, goes beyond being just a cartoon; it explores deep philosophical ideas that connect audiences of all generations. This series, made by Genndy Tartakovsky, tells the adventure of a samurai warrior sent to the future by the evil Aku. While exploring the dystopian world, Jack thinks about Bushido, the code of honor and morals created by the Japanese samurai. He also thinks about philosophical questions about fate, choice, and morality.
You may wonder why I am analyzing a "kids' show", you might think it's a bit silly for a young adult like me to ever talk about this show even though it's never a kid's show to begin with. By reading the word "cartoon", you may think this is some childish show for children only, but no, it is not. Samurai Jack is a show where you learn so much, much better than what you learned in school or even what adults teach you about wisdom. This series has influenced us in how we think, act, and choose our own decisions in life, better than how schools teach us to be prepared for the future. This tackles topics such as frustration, blood lust, apathy, anger, wisdom, suffering, and acceptance. As we delve into this discussion, I will talk about why we should admire the hidden philosophical meanings of Samurai Jack.
Samurai Jack is a very interesting character. He spent all his time in the future for over 50 years, and he almost gave up on ever going back to the past. When Aku sent him to the future, he was saddened and confused but refused to; he didn't give up and he still has this youthful optimism that he'll always find the way.
"It always seems bad at first, but then you find a way".
- Samurai Jack, S5 Episode 2 XCIII
This quote explains how he'll always find the way, even if it is hard to handle. This also relates to how we handle challenges in our daily lives and try to bounce back from them.
As the story progresses to a mature tone in season 5, they start to feel more suicidal and hopeless, which drives them to commit suicide by performing a ceremonial ritual "Seppuku" is a form of taking one's life that was considered an honor among the feudal Japanese samurai class. Based on Tartakovsky, they explained that they were meant to sacrifice and that they were meant to be tragic. Since all hope is lost for them, they decide to perform a ritual where they can take their own lives to honor their ancestors. This became a turning point for our main character, who has lived many lives. They saw a bad future and couldn't save their family, friends, and the people around them. They became a failure to their people. Luckily, they can get a connection with Ashi, a friend, and their partner. They save Jack from committing suicide, which makes them live to defeat Aku to save everyone around them. Everyone needs someone who can lift them up when feeling down or giving up their own life. Some people try to find a sense of meaning in life.
Seppuku scene (Samurai Jack, Season 5 Episode 6 XCVII)
In episode 3 of Season 5, we saw a backstory of his father slaughtering his enemies. Before he fights them, he asks them this:
Your choices have clearly led you here, as have mine.
I will give you a new choice, Leave now and live or stay and face your destiny!
- Father of Samurai Jack
They gave a chance for his enemies to live, but the enemies decided to kill them, so the father lets out their sword and slaughters them one to one.
Young Jack was confused back then, still innocent, and tried to process why his father did that. The father explained to him, "The decisions you make and the actions that follow are a reflection of who you are. You cannot hide from yourself."
How does this relate to Eastern philosophy? Some of the series' moments feature Jack's beliefs and culture. We can see their childhood before Aku arrived to destroy their world. Even in later seasons, we saw them meditating in Season 5, Episode 7, and meeting a monk to guide them to the "truth" and "overcome" their fear. They seek guidance from the monk to help them with their Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and heal them physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Based on the comment in this clip of the episode:
A comment from the video (Jack confronts his inner demons)
We might misinterpret criticism to bring us down or insult you unintentionally. I have one friend who's a friend they had lost through misinterpretation and it's often why such friendships break because of it. Jack's situation worsens, so the monk tells them the tea is bad. They wanted to tell them his situation was bad, especially being stuck in the future for 50 years. Mistaking kindness and help for criticism may lead to much frustration if you are so focused on anger so much.
This is Sado, or "tea ceremony," is a traditional Japanese art form that embodies the spirit of "wabi-sabi," a philosophy that values refinement, aged appearances, and loneliness. It involves boiling water, making tea, and serving it in a simple tea room. The process, including etiquette, hospitality, and room decorations, is considered art, creating a spiritual beauty that is the essence of Sado. I found comments in the video, the reasons why the monk said "this is terrible" because the tea lacked the most important ingredient — BALANCE.
youtube
This episode highlights the important lessons of patience and trust in the process. If you want to find the truth, you should be able to find meaning for yourself. Throughout his journey, Jack learns the importance of patience and mindfulness. He often practices meditation and other forms of spiritual discipline to center himself and gain the truth.
youtube
There is also Good vs. Evil in this show. The good is Jack, the symbol of a savior and a warrior to save the people they love while there's Aku, the merciless demon who killed billions of innocents. In Eastern philosophy, there is no ultimate good or evil and only relative good and evil.
The show explores the struggle between good and evil, personified by Jack and Aku, respectively. It raises questions about the nature of morality, the consequences of abuse of power, and the determination of hope in the darkest times. Like the symbol of yin and yang, opposite forces are interconnected and counterbalance each other. The yin-yang symbol, which depicts this concept, is often used to represent the pursuit of balance in life. Without evil, there's no good; without good, there's no evil. Balance is important; regarding Taoism and Buddhism. It places great importance on the idea of balance. Taoism, for example, emphasizes the principle of Yin and Yang, where opposite forces complement each other to create harmony. Both good and evil are needed to create a compelling story. Regarding shows like Samurai Jack explores both sides in a balanced way possible.
Through the end of the series finale, peace is restored, and Ashi and Jack prepare to marry, but on her way to the altar, she suddenly collapses, as slaying Aku invalidates her existence, causing her to fade away. The series ends with a grieving Jack smiling when he watches a ladybug land on his hand and then fly free in a grove of blossoming Sakura trees.
The message the show was trying to convey was that life is about the journey you face, even if it's a bittersweet one. Despite achieving his 50-year goal, Jack still feels empty inside. His true home was in the future, but he realized his true love was in the future. A ladybug, representing truth and a new beginning, lands on Jack's finger, reminding him of this. This may be a tragic ending, yes but it helps us move on in our lives even if it hurts.
To conclude, this show has wonderful philosophies we could all learn in our daily lives. Samurai Jack delves into deeper philosophical themes. It explores the struggle between good and evil, the power of perseverance, the value of patience and mindfulness, and the importance of balance and acceptance. The series' conclusion emphasizes the greater good, the nature of time and fate, the impermanence (the quality of not lasting forever or for a long time) of all things, and the feeling of hope and never giving up.
Thank you for listening!

(Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time spoilers)
I watched all the cutscenes for Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (the game looks beautiful, by the way, I did see some gameplay for when Jack tried to plead with Ashi's sisters and save them like she asked him to... but sparing them just got him nearly killed and he kept failing ;_;), more time spent with characters like the Scotsman (alas, we only see one of his daughters, I guess they didn't want to make 3D models for all his many daughters?), it felt much less rushed and it was fun seeing an alternate timeline.
Ashi and Jack's moments in between timelines and their just missing each other tugged at my heart strings...
But my God, what Aku did to Ashi when Jack tried to get through to her in the past was unspeakably evil, but it also made how he corrupted Ashi that much more powerful. She won't want to fight the corruption if she blamed Jack for that, like he took advantage of her feelings and her surrender... it felt even more emotionally powerful and also made Aku an even more vile villain.
They really have to earn your happy ending, but it's beautiful and I'm glad a timeline exists where Jack and Ashi live happily together. ♡
#Jashi#Samurai Jack#Ashi#Aku#that was so so so vile she dropped her weapon already giving up on fighting Jack when he knew her past and insisted she was good#and Aku just can't let either of them be happy#her shocked betrayed look was so sad...#spoilers#major spoilers

Blue- Eye samurai adding another character to my list of "Is this character canonically trans or is the story being weird about it?" List. Because Mizu doesn't seem to be uncomfortable being a woman but seems to need to act like a guy for ease of free movement. This is Etoile all over again
#blue eye samurai#blue eye samurai spoilers#in case anyone is wondering#etoile is from legand of arslan#the arakawa one#also go watch blue eye samurai#its like the the Samurai Jack team but using more 3d space for the action#also setting an action scene to for whom the bell tolls is undeniably awesome

idk how to feel knowing I relate a lil too much to Fionna and Cake Simon tbh
#I won't elaborate more than that tbh#I still have thoughts about the respective AT finale(s?) that i want to get out#but I think watching Fionna and Cake first will help me word them better#(spoilers) anyway I didn't expect straight up blood in Adventure Time???#I knew Fionna and Cake was going in a more adult direction but like...Finn straight up stabbed a monster in the head#and blood spurted out#I'm not bothered by it just shocked ig bc all the monsters Finn or Jake 'killed' would always explode or run#tbh I do really like the trend of cartoons previously meant for children getting animated adult reboots#not for nostalgia purposes but mostly bc they expand on themes the og show touched on and now have the freedom to delve into#Samurai Jack fumbled its end for me tbh but I loved his descent into madness in the beginning of S5#and his utter shock and repulsion when he legit kills another human without meaning to#idk im rambling but the blood in Fionna and Cake reminds me of Samurai Jack's evolution tbh#personal#ignore me#I'm only on Ep 3 rn lol

Samurai Jack has inspired RWBY V9
Samurai Jack’s 5th season came to mind with this RWBY V9 prediction.
My third one. owo
Curious Cat, when he comes back, would have to spell it out for our heroes.
To Team RWBY & Jaune.
The reason why the Ever After Tree is not getting any closer to them is simply this.
It knows that they have a lot of problems that they should work out amongst each other before they can get out of Remnant.
Time flows different in the Evert After than in Remnant, which could be 4 minutes or a hour, while 30 years for Jaune.
So, with that in mind-
I think the Ever After *wants* our heroes to EARN their escape by mending their strained relationships, look inward on what is wrong, what they can learn that can be used to fight Salem and Tyrian, Cinder, & Mercury, and actually face their mental burden head on, while letting each other know that they will try to hold their burdens together.
Yes, they want to escape. They don’t belong in the Ever After. But the land wants them to realize that they don’t need to *rush* so much and deal with the self-imposed timer in their head.
-That is, if my prediction of the end of Cinder’s character doesn’t come true.
The land itself wants Team RWBY to go through their journey, like all of the fairy tales it has cycled through, go through their own self-imposed hardships, alongside external obstacles, like the Red Prince, and then, maybe even plot can get Neo to *talk* so Ruby can finally know why Neo hates her so much.
But that last part is a stretch.
And particularly Jaune in this volume reminds me of Samurai Jack in season 5, before he went to the monk to try and get his sword back.
I think that Jaune wouldn’t die, but go through the same lowest point as Jack and truly have to fight himself internally, seeing Ironwood in himself, being terrified that he has stooped to his mindset after being lonely for so long, for 30 years, and just admit that he just wants to go home.
Despite how harsh the 2nd half of the war against Salem would be.
A fight against evil that needs to be won by those who ultimately found a way to victory through something else other than strength.
Ruby did let the whole world know that Salem exists after all.
------
Also, I think that even with Team _WBY admitting their failures as a team to Ruby once they found her, Weiss will give a tearful, worried, and stern talk as a *partner* & best friend to Ruby.
And Yang will give Ruby a older sister talk of her life, while saying that she should be the one who gets yelled at only because she just wants to mend the strained relationship between sisters, which shouldn’t have happened. And Yang apologizing for doubting Ruby in Atlas.
And that’s all I have for now.

»»—————————————- Aku —————————————-««
Aku prided himself on being a heartless being made of consistent darkness. But, when it came to you, his longtime wife who was created by a similar amount of energy, he was fairly fair
👹 He has always been focused on furthering his rule of the pathetic mortals in which he despised to the point where it led to him having seven girls with a woman called the High Priestess, though it was with his magic, he did not do anything disgusting in his opinion with her
👹 Despite knowing he felt nothing towards the woman and only viewed the girls as his personal soldiers, you couldn't help but feel inferior to the Priestess, she has done something that you possibly never could with Aku. Though, you did treat the girls as your own, since their mother seemingly could care less
👹 The one thing that made Aku think of having children with you was seeing you pick up a small group of baby aliens from a clan that wished to be relocated to Earth and begin to tickle them with one of your long claw-shaped fingers
👹 As the aliens left after hearing their conditions of living on his and your planet, Aku looked to you and motioned for you both to return to your personal chambers, which you did willingly and without fear
"My yang, I noticed how you looked at those young Vadaquians with a... warm and wholesome stare. That is completely unlike the lovingly evil woman I married and pledged loyalty too. So, if I may question, what is your issue?"
👹 You sighed and lowered your shoulders before shifting into a tortoise and hiding yourself inside of your shell before announcing it was dumb and he could just not bother himself with your issues
"Y/N, you're my wife of hundreds of years. I decided myself if I wanted to handle your thoughts and worries when I laid that shadow-bonding ring around your finger. Now, what is it your worried about?"
"It's just... you know the girls. I just... I want something like that."
"And that can be arranged with swift ease."
"Wait- really? You'd do that for me?"
"I would do anything for the woman who allows me to feel something other than hatred."
»--•--«
👹 And that he did. Just 9 months after the events of Samurai Jack's return and renewing the top-hunted foe to be the time-traveled man, you welcomed a young boy, whom Aku named Oni
👹 You smiled and lightly ran your hands against the baby's long trio set of horns that matched his fathers as his large pure-white eyes opened with tiny specks of white fire erupting from them. When it came to appearance, he took after his father, though your color scheme popped more than the Shogun of Sorrow's
"Ah, there is my little boy and woman!"
"And there is my stubborn husband."
"Hey now! Don't get me wrong, I wanted to be here for the special event, but I needed to get that Samurai fool out of my way again. He almost found the portal back to his time, and if he does..."
"Oni doesn't live..."
"Correct. This is all for him, and us, and I suppose his sisters and their mother."
👹 Chuckling as your baby began to shift his way to his father, the demonic being allow him to sit on his horns, giggling as he acted like the man he has observed for the past few weeks over the small portal that showed him and Jack's fight, but mainly him
"He will be the perfect next generational heir, don't you think?"
"Yes. I do, Aku."

»»———————- Benedict 'Father' Wigglestein ———————-««
🔥 It was no secret that your husband was far from a child-guy. He constantly provided evidence that he hated kids beyond any kind of recognition. He even hated the children that you two were forced to adopt
🔥 When Benedict married you, he laid it out plain as day that he never planned on having children, and you wholeheartedly accepted that
🔥 But, ever since the Delightful Children from Down the Lane joined your family and therefore home, you began to crave having an actual family. One not bounded by a Delightfulization-Chamber, but by blood and the love you two shared for one another
🔥 And while it was easy to think this all without saying it out-loud, even beginning to wonder about how he would reply was enough to make you want to curl up into a ball and stay there forever
🔥 Thankfully the sound of a five-way synchronized knock allowed you to be free of your thoughts. And you merely sat up from your desk and called to the children to come on inside
"Good afternoon, Mother. Father wishes your presence in his office."
🔥 You smiled at the kids and gave them each a pat on their heads before allowing them to walk to their rooms and get ready for bed. Once each of their doors closed you grabbed your husband's notebook, suspecting that was what he needed
🔥 He has a bad habit of leaving stuff in your room. Honestly he needs a better sleep schedule (not me scolding him when I barely sleep😐)
🔥 While the door to his office opened, you took a deep breath and readied yourself, hoping that his day wasn't filled with a ton of disappointments. You may be his wife, but his anger was something not even you could escape
🔥 You noticed that there was a lack of anything on fire, so, you took the chance to make some small chit-chat while your husband worked away on some papers and beckoned with his hand for you to hand him his notes
"My dear, I've been wondering how your day's been."
"It's been decent, better than normal thankfully."
"Well... there is one thing I've been meaning to speak to you about, if you don't mind-"
"If the children have done something, I swear to-"
"No! No, no! The children have done perfectly well since the last incident. It's just... oh nevermind, it's nothing that important."
🔥 Benedict went from staring intently at his paperwork to looking at your seemingly guilt-ridden face and his yellow eyes narrowed, which was prominent from the darkness of his suit
"Y/N, everything you say is important to me. Well, as long as it has nothing to do with random cravings, because those have been getting worse and worse over the past few days."
"Yeah, about that..."
"I mean, you're acting like how Monty would call and describe his wife when she was pregnant with his boy."
🔥 Oh this was pointless. Reaching into the pocket of your black hoodie that Ben gifted you for your birthday just days prior, you pulled out a small box and laid it down in front of him
"What's this for?"
"Just- open it, please."
"Is this a... pregnancy test? Oh sweet sasperilla, you're pregnant?! But I- we..."
"I understand that you aren't fond of children, so we don't have to have them if you don't want to."
"Do... you want the child?"
"I would prefer to give them a shot at life than to not."
"Then... okay. We can have the child... if you want too. This shouldn't only be my choice, it should also be yours. I may hate children to a degree but, I cannot hate you and your choices."
"Thank you."
"Yeah, yeah. Now, if it's a boy, can we name it Benedict Wigglestein III?"
"No."
»--•--«
🔥 The sound of the collected family in the hospital's main room rung freely as the members of the Uno Family and the Wigglestein Family all wondered how you were doing in the delivery room. Ever since your screams stopped, Monty couldn't help but fear you were hurt to the point of possible surgery
🔥 All of a sudden, his brother walked out of the doors with a mixture of both traumatized and happiness written on his face, though it was mainly in his eyes
"Ben? How's Y/N and the baby?"
"I... I have twins..."
"Wait- twins?! Aw! A boy and a girl?"
🔥 Monty smiled at his wife before ushering his brother back into your room and patting his shoulder in assurance. And he couldn't help but chuckle as his brother walked into the room where you and your children no doubt were
🔥 He couldn't be anymore proud of him

»»—————————————- Vilgax —————————————-««
🐙 While living for many years as a Warlord was something that many only viewed your husband as being, it was his closest allies and people that saw who he was outside of his work; a loyal and caring husband
🐙 As a member of the Chimera Sui Generis species, training for battle was a big part of your childhood. And when you first met your future spouse by training to be top-servers of your planet, he was smitten
🐙 Overtime you witnessed the destruction and new colonization of planets. And since you serves as his right-hand, Vilgax and you would see many types of families, the most common being fathers, mothers and their children
🐙 And seeing the male and female members of the army grow and expand with their families adding more members, you couldn't help but wonder; would this ever happen for you and Vilgax?
🐙 Normally he was busy with his work, so getting a decent time to speak one-on-one with your husband was hard. Nonetheless trying to talk about something so important to both you and your lives together
🐙 You were beginning to lose faith in actually talking to him, but when one of Vilgax's best men came inside of the control room you turned around and recognized him to be the one who always guarded the emergency medic and doctor's zone of the ship
"What is it you need, Soldier Axiomar?"
"Doctor Xiliv has requested her for a quick check-up, since she has been complaining of some stomach issues as of late."
"Alright. Would you like me to accompany you, Y/N?"
"I think I'll be alright... really."
🐙 Giving you a kiss on the forehead, Vilgax focused back on the coordinates of their way to Earth. You just nodded to Axiomar as he lead you to the medical room where Xiliv was waiting
🐙 Deep inside as you sat on the frequently cleaned chair, you knew what the Doctor and Medic were going to say
"Your highness, it appears that you- well."
"I know."
"Do you want us to tell Lord Vilgax or not?"
"He'll find out either way, but I'll tell him, it just makes it easier for me."
"Understood."
🐙 As the large alien walked through the halls to his and your shared quarters, he wondered why you had been acting far more nervous and weary throughout the rest of the day. Maybe you had some kind of illness?
🐙 The sound of the doors opening and closing behind your form made you spin around quick. And Vilgax merely chuckled, from calm and composed to having their guard-up in no time. You really were a soldier by heart
"Y/N. What is it you needed to speak about? It better not be something I cannot fix. Because that would be near impossible. I would destroy the galaxy for you."
"It's no illness. Unless you consider a child an illness."
"Pardon, a what?"
»--•--«
🐙 Despite his initial hesitation in being a father and raising a young Chimera Sui Generis, but after gaining advice from some of his closest allies, some would say friends, he gained the extra bravery to face the next step in life with you
🐙 He stood beside your bed as you chuckled at the sight of your baby girl. Long tentacles in the shape of elongated human hair, a small, pink wrap being around her as her tiny red eyes blinked while giggles rang through the room
"She's beautiful."
"Just like you, love."
"What should we name her?" Doctor Xiliv asked.
"How about Shaviv? It means ray of life."
"It's perfect."

»»——————————- Lord Garmadon ——————————-««
🌋 This guy has never seen himself as an ideal parent. I mean, he literally was bitten by a serpent that made him an evil tyrant in the end and he didn't take a part in his son growing up due to his unfortunate incident
🌋 And while he praises himself on not being the man he once was before, there was always a lingering bit in his heart that stayed away from being corrupted. A piece of the old Garmadon in there. Hidden away
🌋 Over time he switched from evil to good, and that was how he met you
🌋 You were the sister of Ray, the previous Master of Fire before Kai took up the mantle. Growing up with Ray meant you were also trained in the art of being a ninja, though it was with the element of light that you controlled and not fire
🌋 Over the time of them being missing, you raised your niece, Nya, and nephew, Kai, and helped Garmadon's brother, Wu, train them and their friends. And as the serpent-bitten male grew into darker habits, you remained a beckon that he couldn't help but admire
🌋 Once he redeemed himself and helped fight against many enemies alongside you and the kids, he began to get close to both you and your old friend/next-door neighbor, Vinny Folson. And let's just say that the closeness evolved beyond simple friendship
🌋 While Misako was reluctant to accept Garmadon had another lover, she noticed just how caring you were and she began to bond with you with her ex-husband and son. In fact, she was the one to ask if you two were planning on taking the next step from just marriage to having children, much to you and his fluster
🌋 After the incident of the question with Misako. Garmadon told Vinny that you two would be out for a few days and that if he needed something, he could call. And as you two began to travel to a remote and well-taken-care-of cabin just outside of Ninjago, he began to let out a small amount of chit-chat
"Hey, Y/N... I have a question."
"What is it?"
"With what Misako said yesterday... at dinner. I was wondering if- you know."
"If I wanted kids?"
"Yeah... and I understand if you wouldn't! I'm not the best guy to have children with, just ask my ex-wife."
"Garmadon!"
🌋 Spinning his head to look at you, Garmadon watched you with observant eyes as you smiled gently and held his hand with one of yours and his face with the other. And he smiled as you nodded, small tears pricking his eyes as you laid your forehead upon one another's
»--•--«
🌋 The sound of cries erupting from a woman's hands made the people sitting in the waiting room look up in surprise and slight glee. Seven of the large group looked at the nurse and she took them all back, warning them that you would probably need some space
"Is that..."
"It is. Everyone, meet Nisshoku."
"Aw! I have a nephew now! Let's go!"

If you were in a conversation, what topic would you like to talk about? :D
Something X-Men related, probably specifically anything deadpool or wolverine (Deadpool isn't exactly X-Men but I'm counting him cause he's also a part of this hyperfixation) anyways I LITERALLY GOT THIS NOTIFICATION WHILE IM WATCHING THE WOLVERING AND THE XMEN CARTOON LMAOOO Yeah I'm super into. X-Men shit right now because I watched Deadpool 3 and my brain said YES. THAT. I am absolutely taking this as an opportunity to rant by the way cause there is so much random shit about this show that has me giggling. Errrmmm spoiler warning I guess ?
FIRST OF ALL LOGANS VOICEEEEEVEVEVDBDBE 👹👹👹 I'm not one to simp for fictional characters (lie) but I'm down bad JUST because of the voice (also lie im down bad for a lot of reasons)
ALSO THE FUCKING AMOUNT OF LOVE INTERESTS HE HAS IN THIS. JEAN, (KINDA-ISH) WHO DOESN'T SHOW UP UNTIL EPISODE 23 OF 26??? SOME RANDOM JAPANESE WOMAN WHO'S MARRIED TO A SAMURAI?? SOME ALIEN-MUTANT-THING WOMAN WHO WORKED WITH HIM AND WAS HIS GIRLFRIEND BEFORE HE LOST HIS MEMORIES OR SOMETHING ?? Emma kinda but not really she's not an explicit love interest but you can kinda tell it's a little implied at some points. I definitely am forgetting a few my memory is still shit but A BISEXUAL CHARACTER AND NOT A MALE LOVE INTEREST IN SIGHT <3 thats why Cyclops is here. He's supposed to be kind of a romantic rival to Logan kinda (cause they both like jean or whatever idk it REALLY doesn't seem like Logan likes jean all that much but I guess he does) but it really just ends in them having tension that feels less like they despise each other and more like they're waiting for everyone to leave them alone so they can go at it so I'm counting Scott even if he isn't like OFFICALLY a love interest he basically is
Oh also gambit is a thing for like 2 episodes. All he does is cause issues which. Gambit core I guess idk much about him 💀 all I know is he is REALLY like. Cunning and confident and shit. Tryin to think of the word. CHARMING yeah he's charming. Or supposed to be I guess he looks a little funny so he just makes me giggle looking at him. Honestly if he wanted to fuck Logan he could probably convince him to buy he's in love with one of magneto's daughters or whatever?? That he met for like a few hours and kissed once?? Before being thrown in a cell for kissing magneto's daughter??? And then abandoning her after promising to take her away from genosha with him?? I don't even know man.
Anyways I'm a complete noob X-Men fan I literally didn't know jack shit about anyone but Logan before I started watching this. Already a hardcore wolverine/cyclops fan they're gay to be fr with you. I should read some of the comics huh. Anyways here's my live reaction to Logan and Scott interacting like normal people:
Also silly goofy images from this show no I'm not sorry 3/4 are Logan he's BABYGIRL in this okay
Here have a poolverine meme to end this post
#daft asks#i like asks they're fun to answer especially when theyre open ended and i can do whatever i want with them#sorry bub im a#oh my god i just used bub instinctually#im gonna die . ANYWAYS THANKS FOR THE ASK SORRY ABOUT THIS LMAOO#x men#wolverine and the x men#xmen cartoon#wolverine#poolverine#logan howlett#james logan howlett#xmen cyclops#scott summers#jean grey#i dont know how to tag this shit man 😭#daft rambles

Thanks. I'm glad you like my style :)
Ok, spoilers now. Don't read, folks, if you didn't watch "Samuraj Jack" to the very end and wanna do it.
I don't think the ending of "Samurai Jack" was bad because I cried or not, but because… throughout the entire series, Gendy Tartakovsky showed very well that he understood the meaning of time travel and its consequences… and at the end, suddenly he did something which didn't make sense. After Aku died in the past, why didn't Ashi literally disappear at the same moment he died? It was idiotic and unnecessarily dramatic. He could have either killed her earlier, not doing the whole stupid wedding scene and still retaining all the drama of her dying in Jack's arms - or not killing her to show that in fact the timeline in which Jack killed Aku is a separate, new timeline , and the old one, in which Aku wins, still exists. The solution we got is an intellectual insult to me and I was so damn disappointed.
I still love that show. I love how plot of last serie was. But ending... nah. I was just disappointed.
The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 14. Puddles
Day 14. Puddles Crossover: Star vs. the Forces of Evil Any help would be appreciated in such a huge task, so...
If someone doesn't know what's going on here and is going to watch this wonderful series - I won't say anything more here. Anyone who knows the ending of this serial knows what is happening on the picture. By the way, while drawing this, I was thinking about the endings of various animated series and came to the conclusion that the ending from "Star vs. the Forces of Evil” is probably the best one I have ever seen. I have nothing to fault him, neither in terms of execution, plot or character behavior. Even "Gravity Falls" pissed me off with a few elements after final battle, and I found the endings of "Kipo" or "Samurai Jack" (Swim Adult's one) to be very weak ("Jack" was considered the most disappointing ending for me). "Star"'s is great. So: bravo, creators. Well, it's confirmed that it is possible to create a good, interesting and touching ending! (I totally cry every damn time here T_T)
I really enjoyed making the background here. Probably the coolest in term of process of making background I made in this year Ink Demonth.
PS. In case anyone hadn't noticed, Star and Marco appeared 2 years ago in another Ink Demonth... Also: Eclipsa.

Psycho Analysis: Dee Vasquez
(WARNING! This analysis contains SPOILERS!)
“Turnabout Samurai” was always a case I skipped on my replays, because when I originally played the game I found it to be a tedious filler case loaded with bland characters and little plot progression. On my most recent playthrough, though, I realized how wrong I was; while the case is overly long and does require some obnoxious backtracking, it’s honestly an extremely fun and funny case that really helps develop Miles Edgeworth and flesh him out as a character, which kind of makes me baffled at my initial perception of the case as pointless filler. This is no “Turnabout Big Top,” that’s for sure, and that’s all the more apparent when we uncover who the true killer is.
Dee Vasquez marks a true turning point in the killers I the franchise. Frank Sahwit and Redd White are certainly not out of place in the series, but they are both one-dimensional goofballs. Not Dee; she’s an incredibly three-dimensional villain with motivations that go beyond simple greed and an actual sympathetic motivation for her crime.
Motivation/Goals: Dee Vasquez is actually rather interesting in that her motivation for murder has one of the first twists in the series: She had no motive. The murder was an accidental one in self-defense, as the victim Jack Hammer had come to her with the intent to kill her. When he did so, she shoved him off the steps and impaled him on a fence—something Hammer himself had accidentally done to another actor five years prior.
It’s pretty interesting to think that there wouldn’t be another killing in self-defense until Spirit of Justice, and even then there’s a big twist to that too—but that’s a story for another time.
Breakdown: Fitting her terse and stoic personality, Vasquez actually has one of the single most understated breakdowns in the whole series, followed by her sadly and graciously accepting her defeat:
That really is it, and honestly, it's all she needs. Someone with her demeanor losing her composure for even a moment like that is pretty impressive.
Best Scene: Vasquez actually gets one of the most unique scenes in the franchise, as at the end of the third day of investigating she lures Maya and Phoenix into her trailer, where she proceeds to call upon her mafia goons in an attempt to “erase” them.
It’s pretty notable because the mafia goons actually get art here, and this is also the only time Vasquez’s mob connections are really brought up in any capacity as they aren’t mentioned during the trials, only getting briefly mentioned in discussions while investigating. It’s doubly notable because it gives Gumshoe one of his first “Big Damn Heroes” moments when he bursts in and saves our dynamic duo’s lives.
Final Thoughts & Score: Dee Vasquez is a really solid villain, and her case is where the series really grew the proverbial beard.
I think what’s most fascinating about her is how you only get some vague hinting at the relationships that surround the crime she committed, and the true nature of her relationship with Hammer is based entirely on hearsay from biased parties—can you trust what she says in regards to Hammer, considering she was blackmailing him and clearly had a great disdain for him for killing her possible lover? Can you trust Oldbag’s account of it being a tragic accident when she’s a Hammer superfan? It all makes her the sort of character where you can come up with multiple interpretations of her and have different levels of sympathy depending on how you view her actions. Like sure, it was in self-defense, but it becomes a lot less sympathetic if you see Hammer more as a victim of manipulation for something that wasn’t really his fault (although his willingness to frame his co-star Will Power out of petty jealousy certainly doesn’t make him look very good).
Helping this is just how grounded and low-key she is. She doesn’t really get wild, over-the-top reactions like some of the other killers, and while that may seem like a detriment in a series as silly as this, it actually makes her stand out a lot more especially with how later villains would become even more wild and wacky. It also helps build her up as a genuinely formidable opponent in court, and she’s actually a pretty tough egg to crack when you get her on the stand.
While I’m not going to pretend like she’s the greatest, most complex, or most tragic of all the villains (how can she be when characters like Ini Miney, Geiru Toneido, or Acro are around?) but for a first attempt at a more complex villain that isn’t just killing for the money, she’s a really solid one. A nice solid 7.5/10, I’d say. I think really her biggest problem is that the case immediately following hers features perhaps the single most sympathetic murderer in the original trilogy, as well as another stoic hardass villain who has a far more glorious breakdown, which leaves her being a bit overshadowed. Still, for what she is, she's a remarkably solid villain.
