I had writer’s block but still wanted to be productive so I made some -en-y And The Dreemurr Team (Or ATDT as I’ve been shortening it to for tumblr’s sake) Samuel Lawrence sprites and made up some dialogue to test them out.

Frisk Hart AU: Soulvengers

Sorry if this ruins it, but in this AU, the Rainbow Kids are the descendants of superheroes. Frisk, Chara, and the Six still have their powers, but they go around being superheroes. When Frisk was five years old, she was abandoned by the orphanage at the Monsters Alliance’s house. Chara was also dumped there by her parents for her own safety a couple weeks before then. Then five years later, they go on their first mission and meet the Six after saving them from nuclear sludge and make then superheroes. Frisk’s hero name is Mega Passion, Chara’s hero name is Rebellia, Cyan’s hero name is Serenity, Orange’s hero name is Thermo-Glad, Blue’s hero name is Star Sincere, Purple’s hero name is Artful Mind, Green’s hero name is Gentle Leaf, and Yellow’s hero name is Uber-Trust.

alias: samuel andersen // nickname: sans age: appears to be 45~50; real age unknown species: revenant

bio: ebott village is a small community placed somewhere around mount ararat, pennsylvania. hidden from sight, the town is a safe haven for those hated and hunted down by humanity: monsters of all kinds. although lore paints them as dangerous, vicious and nothing but cold killers, the inhabitants are, in fact, just peaceful and friendly creatures--even if their very nature states otherwise sometimes.

ruled by a kind yet firm hand, mayor asgore dreemurr (someone that was once a king, in a long forgotten past) has kept the town and its inhabitants safe from humans and hunters with simple, few rules----and said rules are clear: no human must be harmed if they ever cross the magical barrier protecting the town from prying eyes, and those who dare to hurt a human must be punished and exiled.

sans has been living in ebott village for a long time now; he and his younger brother simply arrived at the town one day with little to no explanations and just settled themselves in an empty house after a long, nice chat with the mayor. as his brother found his happiness working as the sheriff’s right hand, sans decided to join the local college as physics teacher. they don’t talk much about themselves, but they’re well known through the town for a lot of reasons.

despite the never-changing ambience settled in ebott village, life is good and peaceful--and even if some humans had shown up through the years, they all lived in harmony until the humans either passed away or decided to leave town.

sometimes they hear news from the outside world--it’s hard not to, when some children are strangely too curious about what happens outside ebott’s borders--but said news only serve to make all inhabitants stay right where they are.

Is Sampson Lawrence an OC or not? I'm confused. Also, what's his pre-ink interactions with Samuel Lawrence?

“Sampson Lawrence” was originally what my Sammy was named when I was writing him in -en-y And The Dreemurr Team before I found out that his name was canonically “Samuel”. So naturally I went “Oh shit” and tried to steer more towards canon without throwing Sampson out altogether by splitting my one Sammy into two Sammies: One named ‘Sampson’ while the other’s named ‘Samuel’.

So he’s technically an OC on the grounds that BATIM has nothing to suggest that there are two Sammies in game, or that our one Sammy has two personalities, but he didn’t start off that way. (I don’t blame you for getting confused though, sometimes my own works confuse me especially when they’re old.)

As for the pre-ink interactions, If Sampson existed before the ink went down that would make him and Samuel identical twin brothers who work in the same building and department; one as the Music Director (Samuel) and the other as the Band Conductor (Sampson). However, the entire studio (Except for Buddy, who figures out that they’re twins while just doing his job.) thinks that they’re one and the same.

Their dynamic would be similar to their ATDT AU counterparts’ dynamic but with different contexts behind their actions; they have similar likes, dislikes, and interests but they squabble over stupid stuff and prefer to work on their own things instead of being in the same place as one another as more often than not they will knowingly and unknowingly piss each other off.

Nonetheless, when they are on the same page they’re an excellent team in both the musical world and the survival sense. Regardless if they’re in a bad mood with the other one or not, the pair will often drag the other one away from and/or out of trouble when they know their brother’s going in over his head or is going to do something that’s gonna seriously fuck someone else over. And you can bet your bottom dollar that they can and will risk their lives, bodies, minds, and souls, to save each other.

After all, considering what they are and the world they live in, the twins can never fully trust anybody else in the world like they can trust each other.
