I have an idea for ted. This would be in a world where he isn't a youtuber. He's a photographer for this bland company (probably in new york) and he's really jaded and lost most of his passion for the camera.
But! He meets you, someone lively and passionate about everything, and immediately asks if he can take your picture. Or at least talks with the conversation leading up to that.
(I had this dream a while ago where the reader was this bright eyed model who met ted at their first callback)
Hope this was something good to work with!!!
HEYYYY !! this was kinda based off of those tiktoks where someone goes up and asks to take a random persons photo LOL i hope this is good enough though !! i always have fun whenever i write stuff for ted.
it was another busy day in new york city, and ted was just clocking off for the day. he was a photographer, and he hated who he worked for, hated what he did. everything was just so dull and tiring. every day was repetitive.
as he walked out of his workplace, he decided he'd go look around for a bit, try get a bit of inspiration. better than just going home, right? so he set off into the city, his camera at the ready.
really, he wasn't expecting to find anything interesting to photograph. he'd been round the city more times than he could count, nothing was new to him anymore. he felt like he was just wandering around aimlessly, until he saw you. you were stood with a few of your friends, and you seemed to be very excited about something. ted stopped in his tracks, his eyes glued to you. you were gorgeous, truly.
he realised he probably seemed a bit strange just stood there watching you and your friends, so he decided to go over. he was quite nervous, which was obvious as he began to fiddle with his camera lense. he always got nervous when he had to meet new people, especially pretty people like you who he'd just so happened to spot in the middle of new york city.
he managed to get over his nerves as he got close behind you, and gently tapped your shoulder.
you jumped and stopped talking to your friends, then quickly turned around.
"oh, uhm, hi! i just.. i just wanted to ask if i could maybe take your photo?" he had a small smile on his face, and his hands were tightly gripping his camera. you looked up at him, studying him, before your eyes travelled back down to the black camera in his hands. you then looked back at your friends, and one of them nudged you with her elbow, encouraging you to respond to him.
"you.. you wanna take a photo of me?" you responded, feeling a little bit incredulous. he wanted to take a photo of you?? ted nodded in response to your question, his smile growing.
"i just.. i saw you when i was stood just over there.." he pointed to where he was stood moments ago. "..and i thought you looked really.. really pretty!" your face gained a pink hue before one of your friends wolf whistled at you both, resulting in you turning around to glare at him.
you then turned back to the very tall man infront of you, giving him a sweet smile.
"aww. well of course you can take my photo! i don't mind." ted's eyes lit up at this, and he gestured behind him.
"i know a very scenic place not too far from here. great place to take photos. you don't mind if i take you there, right?" you chuckled, shaking your head.
"i don't mind at all! lead the way."
and with that, ted begun to walk in the direction of where you'd have a mini photo shoot, with you following close behind.
it seemed that the photographer had finally found his inspiration.
i was thinking aboutttt maybe doing a part twoooo but idkkk is it a good ideaa hmm

Happy New Year 2023 ปีใหม่ไปกับเชือกป่าน | Between Us | Studio Wabi Sabi
Since there is no new episode today enjoy this special New Years Day clip with the Between Us cast.
No idea what's going on although some of the comments have translated a few bits but I laughed at the part where they played a scene of one of the other couples.

The Colors Mean Things!
I don't have Twitter, so thanks @firstkanaphans, @heretherebedork, @lukaherehelp, @sammie-lightwood-bane, @pots-and-pans-excite-me, and the Anons who woke me up with the best news that GMMTV decided to take pity on me and confirmed the colors of the The Trainee characters!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the Tumblr hype team for instantly thinking of me, and I love that the text also includes the reasoning for their colors!
Jane - (Dark) Blue Boy (intelligent, loyal, reliable)
When working, he is committed, dependable, and sharp about his work, which shows he cares about his job (more than caring about relationships).
Tumblr media
Ryan - Green Guy (chill, generous, balancing)
Compromises in a group of friends. Doesn't know if he is talented because he doesn't have a passion or ambition, but focuses on doing the job in front of him as best as he can.
Tumblr media
Pie - Red Rascal (passionate, spontaneous, dominant)
Determined, strong, ambitious, perfectionist
Tumblr media
Pah - Yellow/Orange Oddity (optimistic, creative, communicative)
Bright, cheerful, always moving, colorful, and always supporting his fellow interns.
Tumblr media
Judy - Black Brooder (mysterious, seductive, protective, and white signifies perfection)
AE's most professional seems trustworthy to customers, and looks stylish as the face of the company.
Tumblr media
Mee - Pink Person (emotional, playful, assertive)
Bright, lively, and gives importance to love as a priority.
Tumblr media
And Tae is a Brown Boy (predictable, honest, wise)
Has fun only with things that interest him to the point of neglecting the people around him. Gives importance to work as a priority.
Tumblr media
I would like to take this opportunity to remind some of the anons in my inbox and the bold people in the comments of some of my posts that I'm petty, and I remember these exact moments when shows confirm the colors just so I can hurl them at non-believers who argue with me that the colors don't mean things and I'm thinking too deep.
I'm a Leo born in the Year of the Dragon, so I don't lack confidence, but it's always nice to be right!

Thinking of you | Junmyeon
Tumblr media
Mafia!Junmyeon x Reader
Word count: 2826 Genre: fluff, angst. Author: maari  Warnings: Post-breakup, mention of alcohol Note:  I'm not used to writing with him, Sammy used to do that soooo my first story with Junmyeon that I post here 🙈 i got really carried away with this one Request:  you could do a oneshot of junmyeon, where he is the mafia boss and in a club he meets his ex girlfriend, who broke up with him because she found out what he works for. they are suffering apart and want to be together! angst and fluffy ⫷ Exo Masterlist
Tumblr media
Y/N looked at the dark landscape outside the car completely thoughtful. It had been like this in the last few weeks, she had relived the scene of her breakup countless times and tears always accompanied her.
Was it torture? Possibly.
But it still hurt her so much to remember that she no longer had his arms wrapped around her waist, or the way he always buried his face in her neck to smell the sweet perfume he loved for her to wear.
She swallowed the urge to cry once again, she had chosen to break up because it was the best thing to do in the situation she had found herself in.
She loved him so much, she didn't even know how it was possible to love someone that much, but she couldn't be with him. As much as she wanted to.
That night in particular she had promised her best friend that she would do everything she could to have a little fun and forget about the crack that had lodged itself in her heart since then, well either it was that or her friend would have dragged her by force to “live a little ”, in her friend’s words she should stop being so miserable.
Of course, not even her friends or family knew why she broke up with him, or else things would get worse.
But going to the club reminded her of all the nights she went out with him, especially the night they met. So even though she was fighting not to think about him, the memories came.
She took a deep breath as she got out of her friend's car, smiling lightly at her to assure her she was okay, or at least pretend like she was.
As soon as she entered the club, she felt an icy wind and a chill down her spine, she hugged her body and swallowed hard as she tried to shake off the clouds of memories that invaded her head.
She had barely arrived and she already knew it was a bad idea to go there.
She and her friend went to a high table that was empty, they talked a little while observing the place, Y/N's anxious eyes looked for a single person and her reason said that it would be better if he wasn't there.
As time went on, the music got slightly louder and the place got a little more crowded.
“Tae!” Y/N's friend called a boy with her hand, as soon as he turned and found her, he smiled widely.
"What are you doing here?" He asked as he approached her to hug her, he was accompanied by another boy. “This is Jinyoung, my friend.” he introduced and the boy extended his hand to shake both of them.
“This is Y/N, my best friend.”
Y/N smiled at the two of them and when she shook Jinyoung's hand her eyes stopped at his neck.
“Are you a soldier?” She asked, curious.
She recognized the ID necklace anywhere.
“Yes, army lieutenant.” He smiled, proudly.
"Really? My brother is a sergeant, but in the navy.” she explained and he smiled slightly at the answer.
“Y/N comes from a long line of soldiers.” Her best friend commented, smiling when she finally saw her talking.
“And you’re a soldier too?” Jinyoung asked, interested.
She laughed, shaking her head.
“No, I’m the only one who has a boring job.” She joked and got a laugh from the soldier.
Y/N had a lively conversation with Jinyoung, her best friend and Tae left them alone with the excuse of going dancing.
Jinyoung was pleasant to talk to and had a captivating smile, he didn't take his eyes off her and even though she was shy, she wasn't uncomfortable. Although her initial plan hadn't taken into account going out with a guy that night, she wasn't depriving herself of wanting to get to know him better.
But she had one small problem. The ex that wouldn't leave her sober mind.
That's why she decided to do what anyone in her position would do, drink until the image of her ex's eyes evaporated from her mind along with all the walls she had built around herself since the breakup.
She excused herself from Jinyoung, telling him that she would go to the bar and come back soon, he quickly patted her arm.
When she arrived, she looked at the drinks. She wasn't that big a fan of alcohol but she knew that the only way to forget about him was to do it.
“Double whiskey, please.” she asked the bartender who nodded before leaving to get her drink.
“Whiskey?” Y/N felt every hair on her body stand up and her legs trembled. “I always thought you preferred wine.”
She swallowed hard and the bartender returned, holding out the glass which Y/N quickly took, feeling her hands go cold.
Without any courage, she turned around and saw him standing next to her. She had to lock her jaw so a sigh wouldn't escape her lips.
He was still intoxicating.
His slightly wavy dark hair didn't fall entirely into his eyes, his face was hard and serious with his eyes fixed on her, he was wearing a white silk blouse with the first few buttons open that left a part of his chest exposed so that the necklace he wore sparkled. The necklace she had given him.
He wore a black vest and she couldn't resist continuing to analyze, her eyes went down to the black pants he wore and the expensive shoes.
It wasn't possible for a man to be as beautiful as him, it must be a crime.
Although he knew very well about crimes…
When her eyes returned to his face, he saw the slight smile that threatened to break.
“Not everything is what it seems.” She spoke quietly, unable to control how weak her voice sounded. “You know this better than me, Suho.”
She wasn't used to calling him by that name, he would always be Junmyeon to her.
Her Junmyeon.
But Suho was his battle name and since she discovered that, she used the name a few times just to speak to all the hurt she felt for having been betrayed.
Feeling the world around her spin in a spiral, she left without waiting for his response and returned to the table feeling watched.
Jinyoung greeted her with a smile and she did the same before downing the glass, drinking the whiskey in one gulp, making the poor boy next to her get a little scared.
The liquid ran down Y/N's throat but nothing was as strong and intense as Junmyeon's eyes staring at her from the other side of the club.
She didn't want to be the worst person in the world but she couldn't follow what Jinyoung said, she also didn't want to return Junmyeon's gaze but it was an impossible task.
Mainly because he divided the attention of his eyes between her and Jinyoung, as if he was reading what was happening between them.
During their relationship, he was never jealous because Y/N always assured him that her eyes were always on him, that no other boy would take her focus away from him.
But now they were no longer together and there was a slightly strong soldier beside her.
Yes, he had identified that he was a soldier before even noticing the identification necklace he wore.
People like him had training to recognize soldiers and police from miles away.
And when Y/N didn't look back, she lost the chance to see the fear in his eyes.
Y/N has always been a very correct woman, she was taught to be like that by her family, war heroes who had respect and principle.
And Junmyeon was the opposite of all that. He wasn't honorable and definitely not a hero, he was nothing that she really deserved it.
It was clear that after she had broken up with him, when she discovered the illicit work he did, he was afraid of losing her for good.
Not because his enemies could go after her, firstly, he would never let that happen, secondly, he had some of his  men protecting her in secret to prevent that.
But because he knew she could find someone better than him easily, she just snapped her fingers and a line of men would form.
Because, after everything that had been said between them, he imagined that she would look for someone with the same principles as hers.
Someone very different from him.
And well, a soldier was exactly what he imagined she would find.
He just didn't think it would be so difficult to see her around a man other than him.
But Junmyeon didn't even know what was going on in her head, even though she was looking at Jinyoung attentively, she wasn't listening to a word he was saying.
What was happening inside her was a real battle.
She knew it was wrong and dangerous, but seeing him there only concluded what her heart already knew, she was still crazy about him.
Even if his work or business, she still didn't know how to say it, went against everything she believed in, it was impossible for her feelings not to speak louder.
Jinyoung was a correct and honest man, from what little they talked she concluded that, she only had one problem: he was not Junmyeon.
Even though he was just as handsome, knowing that her ex was there watching her nullified any less friendly thoughts she might have had with Jinyoung.
Y/N felt her head spinning, there were many reasons, and the alcohol she had spilled wasn’t the only one. In fact, she had only made her situation worse because she had been drinking to forget her ex-boyfriend and here she was, remembering him more vividly.
“Y/N is everything okay?” Jinyoung asked, worried, seeing her face suddenly turn white.
She took a deep breath, nodding.
“Yeah, I just…” she looked at the bar where he was, Junmyeon didn’t even blink when he looked at her. Even from afar she felt how intense his eyes still were. “I need some air.” she confirmed, looking away from Jinyoung.
“Do you need me to…” he let the sentence die in the air and she smiled slightly
She brought her hand to his arm and gently stroked it.
“It’s okay, I just need 5 minutes alone.”
He nodded, placing his hand over hers, understanding what she was saying.
Y/N left feeling the air running out of her lungs as if she had run a marathon and when she finally found the exit of the club, she closed her eyes feeling the first tear run down her face.
She had promised herself that she would try to be strong, she even tried to convince herself that she didn't feel what she felt for Junmyeon - a failed attempt to forget him - but she didn't count on finding him there.
In fact, she didn't even imagine one day meeting him again. After the harsh words she used, she thought he would never talk to her again.
Y/N looked for a corner to sit down, hugging her legs to cry in silence.
It hurt her to be away from him, more than she had imagined. But it hurt even more to be so close and at the same time so far away from him.
She was so wrapped up in her own pain that she didn't notice when he crouched down beside her.
"Don't cry, please." he pleaded and she sobbed. “You know I can’t stand it.”
Y/N lifted her head with her face soaked, looking to the side and seeing him grimacing in pain.
She kept her eyes fixed on him as Junmyeon raised his hand to dry her face with his fingertips, making Y/N close her eyes at the gentle touch.
She had missed that. Much more than she should have.
"I can't."
"What?" He caressed her face for a longer time, making her open her eyes.
“I can’t look at you and forget everything I know.” she admitted, hurt.
Junmyeon gave in, fingers retracting to cease the caress.
Y/N sighed and stood up, pushing him away completely. Ready to get out of there, she just didn't expect him to step in front of her, stopping her from going.
“I'm still the same.”
She laughed in disbelief and tried to pass, but he held her arm without hurting her and brought her closer so she could look into his eyes.
“I’m still who I’ve always been with you.”
Y/N felt her breathing became labored for two reasons, he was too close that she could feel his breath against her face, and because his eyes didn't lie.
And that disconcerted her, broke all the arguments she could have and that she had rehearsed in her head.
“You have a side that I never imagined and that I don’t agree with!” She tried to speak a little more firmly, her rational side was being drowned out by her heart at that moment.
She was finally where she wanted, in his arms.
“This is just business, Y/N.”
"Business?" she asked, frowning. “A mafia is not a business, Junmyeon, it is a sect. One from which you will never be free because you’re the boss.”
"You’re right!" he agreed, seriously. “But look into my eyes.”
She looked away, shaking her head. That was why one of his hands released her arm and went to her chin, making her look at him.
“Look into my eyes and say you don’t see how much I love you.” he begged and she was silent. “If you say that you don't see how much I need you then that's fine, I'll let you go into the arms of a guy who has the same principles, who is your hero.”
Y/N felt her eyes water.
He was her hero long before she found out where his money came from.
"I cant do it." She spoke quietly, shrugging her shoulders.
"And why not?"
“Because I would be denying the whole truth, including that my love for you also exists.”
The corners of his lips threatened to lift into a sad yet happy smile, all he needed to hear was how much she still loved him, the rest they could take care of later.
He could find a way out as long as he was with her.
Without having anything to say, Junmyeon put his hand on the back of her head, making her goosebumps rise from head to toe, she knew what was coming and didn't stop it.
He brought his face closer to her, without taking his eyes off her because he wanted to make sure she wanted it so much as him and when he didn't see any sign to the contrary, he sealed their lips.
Y/N sighed, resting her hands on his chest as she closed her eyes at the feeling of his warm lips once again against hers.
Junmyeon's hand went down her arms to her waist, hugging her with a certain desperation as he moved his lips slowly, as if he was discovering her again.
Junmyeon tilted his head to the side as he opened his mouth to deepen the kiss, all Y/N could do was grab the vest he was wearing tightly as their tongues met, eager for the sensual dance they were in accustomed.
Y/N's entire body seemed to light up, she felt so warm and so alive, it was as if she had awakened from a deep, cold sleep.
Their kiss became more desperate, causing him to press her against any surface he could find in the dark, which ended up being the club wall itself.
Completely panting, they separate, he even takes her lips in one last kiss before touching their foreheads.
“I've been thinking about you every second.” he spoke quietly and Y/N kept her eyes closed, her legs still wobbly. “I can’t live without you, Y/N.”
She smiled sideways, put her hands on his shoulders and then opened her eyes, looked at his red and swollen lips before moving up to his eyes, Junmyeon looked at her with a sparkle in his eyes.
“I could be making the biggest mistake of my life.” She sighed, reaching up to caress his face when she saw him frown. “But if I had to choose you a thousand times, I would.”
He smiled restrainedly.
“It was always you, Junmyeon. Always."
“You’re my eternal love,” he said firmly. “And you always will be.”
She smiled before pulling his face for another kiss that wouldn't be the last that night.
Was it wrong? Maybe, but everything she believed in didn't make any difference when she was with him or thinking about him.

Happy Birthday the Scottish folk singer/songwriter Brian McNeill born on April 6th 1950 in Falkirk.
Brian was a founder member of the Battlefield Band, one of our finest Folk Groups. He also joined several other top Scottish Folk musicians including Dick Gaughan in Clan Alba.
Brian is a multi instrumentalist – chiefly fiddle, bouzouki, mandocello, guitars and concertina – and the importance of his songwriting has long been recognised with such songs as The Yew Tree, The Lads O' The Fair, The Snows of France and Holland, Strong Women Rule Us All With Their Tears, Any Mick'll Do and No Gods and Precious Few Heroes. Many of his songs have been performed and recorded by artists worldwide. He has been described as ‘Scotland’s most meaningful contemporary songwriter’.
Brian’s audio visual shows, The Back O' The North Wind, about Scottish emigration to America, and the sequel, The Baltic Tae Byzantium, exploring the influence of the Scots in Europe, have won wide critical acclaim. His long connection with America's Lone Star State led to him being created an honorary Texan by the then Governor George W Bush. For six years Brian was Head of Scottish Music at the RSAMD, now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Brian is increasingly in demand for his production skills and his album credits include Davey Arthur, The Paul McKenna Band, Lorne MacDougall, Rua Macmillan, Eric Bogle and John Munro, Matt Tighe and Tad Sargent, The John Wright Band, Drones and Bellows and Missouri a cappella quartet The Wee Heavies.
As well as his musical talent Brian has also turned his hand to writing, he pens short stories, crime and mystery fiction involving his hero, busker Alex Fraser and his heroine, private sleuth Sammy Knox.
Brian is currently on the road with the The Feast of Fiddles 30th anniversary tour.
A song Brian wrote is one of my favourite modern folk songs
No Gods And Precious Few Heroes
I was listening to the news the other day Heard a fat politician who had the nerve to say He was proud to be Scottish, by the way With the glories of our past to remember "Here's tae us, wha's like us", listen to the cry No surrender to the truth and here's the reason why The power and the glory's just another bloody lie They use to keep us all in line
For there's no gods and there's precious few heroes But there's plenty on the dole in the land o the leal And it's time now to sweep the future clear Of the lies of a past that we know was never real
So farewell to the heather and the glen They cleared us off once and they'd do it all again For they still prefer sheep to thinking men Ah, but men who think like sheep are even better There's nothing much to choose between the old vain and the new They still don't give a damn for the likes of me and you Just mind you pay your rent to the factor when it's due And mind your bloody manners when you pay
For there's no gods and there's precious few heroes But there's plenty on the dole in the land o' the leal And it's time now to sweep the future clear Of the lies of a past that we know was never real
And tell me will we never hear the end Of puir bluidy Charlie at Culloden yet again? Though he ran like a rabbit down the glen Leavin better folk than him to be butchered Or are you sittin in your Council house, dreamin o'er your clan? Waiting for the Jacobites to come and free the land? Try going down the broo with your claymore in your hand And count all the Princes in the queue
For there's no gods and there's precious few heroes But there's plenty on the dole in the land o' the leal And it's time now to sweep the future clear Of the lies of a past that we know was never real
So don't talk to me of Scotland the Brave For if we don't fight soon there'll be nothing left to save Or would you rather stand and watch them dig your grave While you wait for the Tartan Messiah? He'll lead us to the Promised Land with laughter in his eye We'll all live on the oil and the whisky by and by Free heavy beer! Pie suppers in the sky Will we never have the sense to learn?
That there's no gods and there's precious few heroes But there's plenty on the dole in the land o' the leal And I'm damned sure that there's plenty live in fear Of the day we stand together with our shoulders at the wheel Aye, there's no Gods

i canNOT stop thinking about of ruin so here is a collection of questions and musings:
1) are the vampire fangs retractable? i.e., do they come out when hunting or all they always there? (i.e., should i be imagining prince tae with little teeths poking into his lip all the time?)
2) does prince taehyung know what an egg mcmuffin is? i can't stop imagining an ending where he renounces infracticus or something and goes to live a human life with oc in her world, and she needs to teach him about all the mundane human things. i want to know what he thinks about the stanley cup craze.
3) we saw in the last chapter or so that he is thinking about her as his preferred marriage candidate. is it (bordering?) love for him yet or is it still more of an obligatory "i have to do this and she's better than my other options" thing? (drabbles from his pov would be INCREDIBLE if you do wind up being up for it)
4) i can't stop thinking about how absolutely mind blowing the s*x is going to be once it happens. i just know that their magical energy is gonna sync up in some crazy ass way 😫
ok that's all for now byeeeeee <3 <3 <3
ok every single one of these spoils a future chapter so we need one of these read mores~
they do fully retract! often they'll come out without necessarily meaning to when an infracti is feeling either threatened or victorious; kind of like a tooth boner when it senses a heightened emotion. this is addressed a bit in chapter 16, but prince tae is not walking around with teefies poking out
Not yet but he does know about a lot of human food bc blood food mimicks real dishes, so maybe he knows about the concept of breakfast sammies? but now i'm imagining him trying to describe specifically the egg mcmuffin to the magician/chefs who make his blood food. "It's like... a somehow simultaneously stale and soggy english muffin with flavorless 'egg' disc and a slice of melty 'cheese product' slapped on and its better with ketchup" them: ............ reader: i'll bring u one so u can see it.
oh he LOVES her. i think he loved her from the ritual in chapter 8 honestly, even if he didn't have a word for it yet. that's HIS little witch. more on this in chapter 11 :)
SO im gonna say that... when there is sex, which there is in ch 13 lol, i leaned into the vampire aspect more than the magic aspect so now i feel like i should add an extra scene lmao

Kitae always relished the few days the group had off in a month. First, he started the day off by sleeping until 10:30, a beautiful contrast to the blaring alarm that typically woke the group up at 6:30 each morning. He liked to take long showers on those days, but not long enough to piss off the 5 others he had to share the apartment with. After, he’d go to a coffee shop or a bookstore just to sip on a warm drink and soak in a cozy environment before he felt obligated to return home for dinner.
The day was already going perfectly as planned, the tinkling of the alarm on his phone gently stirring him from his sleep exactly at 10:30 AM. He rose with a stretch, yawning to himself as he blearily looked around the room. Dohyun still slept like a rock in the lower bunk across from him, just as he always did.
He climbed down from his top bunk in his t-shirt and boxers, padding to the bathroom after noting that the rest of his group had already gotten up for the day. Jisung would likely be playing video games in the living room, Sammy still dedicatedly working his worn muscles in the dance studio. Bo liked to visit home when they had free time, and Hanbin had been with Eunbi last night. He tried not to have an opinion on that whole situation for his leader’s sake, but it was clear that the rest of them thought it was a bad idea.
He padded to the bathroom, knocking on the closed door, unsure of who may await inside. “Can I shower now?” he asked through the solid wood, knocking much firmer the second time when he received no response. Somebody must have just knocked the door closed or something.
Sleep still fogged his brain as he pushed the door open. Seeing someone inside, he instinctually apologized and was about to quickly shut the door again when he registered it. The red. The blood. The stained towel in Eunbi’s shaking hands. He froze, only a garbled yelp escaping from his mouth.
“Kitae,” Eunbi gasped. “He fell. Hanbin fell, he hurt himself, we need to get help,” her voice was frantic as she held his head in her lap, his blood smeared on the bathtub and across the tiled floor.
He couldn’t move. He just stared. The red seeped into his mind as it seeped out of Hanbin’s, staining his thoughts.
“Kitae!” she tried again, trying to shake him from his stupor.
“I’ll… I’ll call 112.. Just- just wait…” he stumbled over his words as he backed away from the scene, scrambling back to the bedroom to fumble for his phone and shake Dohyun awake, tears beginning to stream down his face that he didn’t even notice were there.
“Hyung please, please wake up, it’s Hanbin,” he cried, shoving him over and over again until his eyes blinked open, his brow furrowing in confusion.
“Tae, Tae, what’s wrong?” He asked blearily, trying to make out Kitae’s wet face.
“Hanbin fell, please help,” he begged, attempting to drag him from his bed. “I’ll call, just go help Eunbi. Bathroom,” his hands were shaking furiously as he pulled on the elder’s arm.
“Hanbin? Eunbi?” he managed to stand on his own two feet as Kitae pulled him from his bed, wandering towards the bathroom as instructed. The bloody scene caught him as off guard as it did Kitae. It took him a moment to register it all in his sleep-riddled mind. The blood. The lifeless body of his friend. Yang Eunbi in the middle of it all.
“Dohyun, help me, please,” Eunbi’s face had fear all over it, but was notably dry.
But Dohyun couldn’t move. He only saw Hanbin’s pale face, the image burning into his retinas. Usually a responsible one among the group, he always knew what to do when they were struggling. But now, his mind was completely empty, only flooded by the sight of his lifeless leader.
“Dohyun, please!” he heard a woman’s voice calling to him, but her voice sounded far away like he was underwater. Floating. Drowning.
He felt Kitae move him out of the way and watched through his peripheral as people in uniform swarmed their cramped apartment, putting their hands all over his friend. Touching his neck, his wrist, his chest.
Their movements were slower now, not urgent like they were when they first came in. Why did they slow down? Didn’t they understand his friend was in trouble? Or maybe it was his own mind slowing time down, watching everything going by in a slow-motion blur.
The police came. They took pictures of him. Hanbin liked taking pictures. He took pictures of himself, and of his members, and of things that he thought looked nice. He often wondered why more people didn't take pictures of him. He wanted people to want pictures of him. Hanbin wanted to be the thing that looked so nice, everyone wanted to take a picture. Was that why they took pictures of him now?
Somebody brought in a white sheet. Was Hanbin cold? He did always get cold so easily, wrapping himself tightly in layers and blankets. They lay it over his body, covering his face. He must be so cold now after lying on the tiled floor for so long. Dohyun always made sure he wasn’t too cold. If he got sick, they were all in trouble. He was their very backbone, after all.
The strange people carried Hanbin out of his field of vision. He heard crying behind the ringing in his ears. Maybe it was somewhere in the back of his own mind? Dohyun hoped they were taking him somewhere warm. He hoped they didn’t forget to take his jacket. It was so cold outside.
He hoped he would be back soon.
What would they do without him?
Jisung got the call at the internet cafe. Kitae called him first. He let it ring out the first time, engrossed in the game on the screen. He typically spent their free days in a similar state. He said it was the perfect way to rest his body but keep his mind sharp. Usually, he took up residence on their shared couch, hogging the TV and the PS4 as the rest of the members floated in and out around him, but he found Hanbin and Eunbi asleep there this morning instead.
The second time his phone rang, he cut it off, annoyed at the repeated intrusions.
The third time it rang, he finally picked up. “What, Kitae?” his tone was cutting in agitation until he heard the sobs on the other line.
“What? What’s going on?” He tore the headset off his head to focus on his friend’s voice.
“H-Hanbin–” was the only word that Kitae uttered before Jisung broke into a sprint out of the cafe. They would charge his card extra for leaving his station in shambles, but nothing else was on his mind other than what could have possibly happened to his best friend.
Hanbin and Jisung had been inseparable since their 6th year. Hanbin was the big dreamer and Jisung was always along for the ride. They were the first trainees at their tiny company. Hanbin always said they would be the trailblazers, making a name for themself and being the legendary sunbaes to the groups that were destined to follow them. A second coming of BTS. Jisung never quite saw the same vision, but as long as he was by Hanbin's side, he never quite minded either.
He made it back to the apartment, running the full 24 blocks and up all 4 flights of stairs, just as the paramedics were pronouncing him dead.
“Bin!” he called, shoving past the paramedics to kneel next to Hanbin, his blood pooled on the white tiles soaking into the knees of his jeans.
“Why aren’t you helping him?” He yelled at the nearest man in uniform, the man sitting back on the heels of his feet, looking defeated.
“He’s gone,” the man responded in a downtrodden voice. It only made Jisung angrier. Why did he have the right to be sad? If it was his closest friend lying lifeless on his bathroom floor, he wouldn’t stop until he was breathing again.
“Give him CPR! Bring him back! Use the–” he paused his demands, trying to think of the word he needed. “The, the heart thing!”
“We did CPR for nearly 10 minutes and he didn’t respond, his brain has lost oxygen for too long by now. I’m sorry,” he gave him a slight bow to emphasize his apology. This wasn’t easy on him either.
But Jisung wasn’t giving up. What would he do without his best friend? He placed his hands together over his friend’s chest like he saw in the TV shows, pressing down over and over, but he didn’t have real training. All he had was a desperate hope tearing at his heart.
“You’re just going to damage his body, sir–” the paramedic watched his desperate, unguided attempts, truly saddened by the sight.
“Shut up!” he yelled, continuing his attempted compressions. “If you won’t help him, I will!”
“Sung,” a familiar voice softly called to him, taking one of his arms, but he only tried to shake him off, his sole focus on bringing back his friend. Tears were starting to form in his eyes, blurring the view of Hanbin’s body under him.
“Sung, the police are coming now,” Sammy tried again, grabbing his shoulders to try and pull him away.
“Stop! I’m helping him!” His voice sounded as wounded as he looked. He clung to the front of his friend’s shirt now, shaking him instead of trying to force his heart to beat once more. “COME BACK!” He yelled in his pale face, suddenly so angry at Hanbin for leaving him here all alone. “Come back!” his plea was weaker this time as he allowed Sammy to drag him backward, away from the scene.
Sammy held Jisung’s limp and defeated form as heart-aching wails left his lips, heaving sobs wracking his body. They were all close, but no one had loved Hanbin quite like Jisung did. He never imagined he would ever lose him, let alone so soon.
The cries slowly stopped as Sammy helped him out of the way of the police investigators and their cameras. He led him to the couch where he sat, unmoving until he fell asleep from sheer exhaustion that night, simply staring blankly at the dark stains on the knees of his jeans.
Sammy was the second one called. Just as Kitae had guessed, he was practicing the new Shinee choreography in the rundown dance studio the company kept up. Although, “dance studio” was a pretty loose term for it considering it resided in the basement of their apartment building. Their company's CEO was friends with the landlord, the only reason they got their space for so cheap.
The ringtone of his phone interrupted Taemin’s voice, giving the dancer a well needed break. Sweat dripped from his hair and down his forehead despite the fact that the basement studio was freezing in the colder months. Using the edge of his shirt to dab the sweat from his face, he grabbed his phone as his chest heaved in his attempts to catch his breath. “Hello?”
Sammy ran up the four flights of stairs to their apartment, arriving just before the ambulance did. He caught sight of Hanbin, limp and growing paler by the second in Eunbi’s lap, just before he was gently shoved out of the way by the rush of paramedics.
He choked on the lump in his throat as he watched them frantically check for a heartbeat. He watched as they tried to revive him, putting all their weight into compressing his chest, forcing air into his lungs. The sickening cracks of his ribs under the force made him turn away, his whole body trembling. What if they couldn’t bring him back? What would they do?
He sat to the side with a still-sobbing Kitae, staring at his hands and trying to drown out the agonizing long minutes of the paramedics' efforts to revive his friend until Jisung barrelled in through the door, nearly gasping for air from running so far. Sammy’s heart was dreading this. He knew how close Sung and Hanbin had been and he knew that this was going to kill him. He stood to meet him, to hold him, to give him support until suddenly his friend was on his knees, attempting to save Hanbin himself.
It was a devastating scene of desperation as Jisung tried to claw for Hanbin’s soul, begging for it to return to the body before him.
“Sung,” he tried, trying to bring him back to the reality he ran from. The police had been called to investigate the scene as per protocol, and Jisung was about to be in the middle of it all.
He was able to pull him away as he cried out, silent tears slipping down Sammy’s cheeks as he let his friend grieve in his hold, his heart cracking more and more at the dismal sound.
Bokyung was at home when he received the call. It was after Hanbin had already been taken away, a death certificate written and signed. There was nothing he could have done from an hour train ride away.
“What’s wrong, honey?” His mother asked, brow knitted in that knowing concern mother’s had perfected. She could tell in the way that his expression dropped and the way his hand holding the phone to his ear trembled that he was not given good news.
As he set the phone down, wet eyes looked to her and she was instantly by his side, wrapping comforting arms around him. “Hanbin... He’s dead,” his voice cracked on the last word as tears flooded from his eyes.
“Oh, baby… I’m so sorry,” she whispered, gently petting his hair as he cried into her chest. She knew how close her son was with his group members. She remembered Hanbin well, staying at their house one Christmas when he didn’t have time to make it all the way back to Busan when they had a holiday album to promote. He was a good boy, kind and charming, and he had such a sparkle in his eye when he talked about their music. It was something she hadn’t seen in a long time in her own son.
It was a grief and sadness she had never wished to see on any of her children. Her usually sunny and uplifted Bokyung was broken in that moment, and she would have given anything to fix it. She had only met Hanbin’s parents once, after their small debut showcase, but she thought of them now, her heart aching for them. She couldn’t possibly imagine the heart-wrenching feeling of outliving your own child.
“I have to go back,” Bo whispered as his breathing slowly started to even out again.
She nodded in understanding. “I’ll help you pack, just… just rest for now, ok? Your heart needs to rest,” she sighed softly.
The apartment was silent when he returned that night. Jisung still sat on the couch. Dohyun lay unblinking in his bunk, staring at the metal bars supporting Bo’s own bed. Kitae and Sammy both sat in the kitchen, cold cups of coffee on the counter in front of them. No one spoke.
The bathroom door was closed, a haunting barricade hiding what lay just behind it.
Sammy greeted him when he entered, but his voice was quiet and hoarse as if he hadn’t used it all day.
Nothing felt right. There was no chatter, no music, no clicking of a video game controller. No clanging of pots and pans or chewing or laughter. The small apartment could have been completely empty and it wouldn’t have made a difference.
Without Hanbin, it definitely felt empty.

hmm it's definitely 👀 that he's not in the boat shots. but honestly i think he probably just didn't lie down with them or the shots where from another day he was not with them or he was on a different boat with his friends if that rumour is true. would also explain why neither jm nor jk mentioned him when talking about drawing the fish. the trailer is clearly focused on jkk because it's their show and tae is probably a guest appearance. i agree with the other anon that tae wouldn't have posted the pictures if he was there "secretly". i personally don't think the jeju trip was a vminkook trip but jm and jk filming their show and tae actually being on vacation and joining him for a day or so. jm and jk were working and tae probably enjoyed his free time. i also think the jeju part will probably just an episode or two. most shots in the trailer were from connecticut and sapporo. so there might not be a lot of jeju. obviously i hope i'm wrong and jeju will have more than one episode with a lot of taekook interactions. prayer circle.
Could be, could be. But we're agreed he was on a boat and not on land, yes.
As it's come up a couple of times, I don't know why Jimin or JK would mention Tae when talking about a fish JK drew? 🙃 In my friend group, I'm not like "haha wasn't it funny when Janet did that amusing thing? Dave, Ed, Lily and Sammy were there too."
And also if he's a cameo? Why would... Like... Why? You know what I mean? The fish drawing argument is not the strongest.
