A Little Bit

Chapter 1- New Beginnings

This year is my year. Everything will be different, in a good way! I had a great time this summer attending Joon Ho's World Tour, and it felt like I was living in a dream for those few days. The energy of the crowd and the music—they completely energized me. Coming to KISS helped me realize that there is so much more than just Portwell. There’s an entire world waiting for me to explore it, and I can’t wait to dive in. The summer was just a preview, a taste of what’s to come. Now more than ever, I need to take my classes seriously this year. Last year was a wake-up call for me; I almost flunked out, and that’s just embarrassing. I promised myself it wouldn’t happen again. I would pull myself together, focus, and make this year count.

As I sit in the car and watch the familiar building of KISS grow closer, I find myself reminiscing about my junior year. So many new friends came into my life; it’s wild to think I’ve never had a friend group like this before. Back in Portland, I was pretty popular, but those people were never my real friends. It always felt so shallow. Here, everything is different. I feel more connected to these people, like they get me. Yet, like a balloon losing air, there’s a lump in my throat that I can’t quite shake off. Is it excitement? Fear? I’m not even sure.

Over the summer, I seemed to forget how confusing the layout of KISS is. Thank God I only have one more year to navigate it! As I step out of the car, I see some familiar faces and wave.

 “My chaos queen?” a familiar voice calls from behind me. I gasp, a smile instantly lighting up my face. God, I missed that voice so much.

“Q! I missed you more than anything!” I exclaimed as I rushed forward to hug him. It’s like a breath of fresh air, being wrapped in the warmth of my friends. Whenever I’m around them, I get so over excited that my voice goes into this high-pitched squeal, and I can’t help but feel a bit embarrassed about it.

“So, tell me, how was your summer? It was so hard to FaceTime you. I need ALL the details now, or you’ll regret it,” Q states, and it’s clear he’s not joking. I can almost see the gears turning in his mind. “Did you and Min Ho... well... you know?”

My heart skips a beat at the mention of his name. “No, Min Ho and I are just friends,” I quickly reply, trying to sound casual. “He’s entering his ‘playboy era’ again. Honestly, I think we’re better off as friends anyway!” I add, and, surprisingly, I’m not lying. I love the friendship we have; it feels safe, uncomplicated.

“Just know. If you’re lying, I will figure it out. I always do…” Q says, narrowing his eyes at me with a serious expression that makes me shiver a little. I am terrified of that man when he’s serious! Just then, Jin walks up to us, and Q decides to join him. Great, so now I'm left all alone again. Where are Min Ho and Dae? I usually see them at the coffee shop around this time.

I take a deep breath and head to the information desk, where a lady gives me some important news. “You’ll be rooming with Madison Miller, Eunice Cho, and Sa'Leah Matthews. Good luck on your senior year!” she says with a smile. I don’t know much about Sa'Leah Matthews, but it sounds fun getting to know someone new! More friends are always a good thing.

I head to my dorm room, which looks really similar to the one I had last semester. Unpacking is probably my least favorite part, but I push through it, determined to make my space feel more like home. Once I finally finish, I spend some time getting dressed up for dinner. I rummage through my closet, trying on different outfits and twirling in front of the mirror until I find the perfect look.

My excitement builds as I prepare for the evening ahead. Just then, my phone buzzes with a FaceTime call from Q. “Hey, chaos queen!” he greets me, his usual lively energy brightening my mood. “Who are you all dressed up for?”

“I’m going to dinner with Jiwon!” I reply, trying hard not to sound too giddy about it.

 “Jiwon? Your cousin?” Q raises an eyebrow, and I can practically see the wheels turning in his mind as he imagines the possibilities. I can already tell he’s about to say something teasing, and I prepare myself. 

Before I can respond, Q’s gaze flits around my room. I catch a glimpse of the smile on his face as he realizes something. Just then, the call ends abruptly with a quick wave from him, like he suddenly had to go do something. A knock echoes through my dorm room just moments later.

 "Coming!” I call out, and the moment I open the door, Madison steps in, her expression curious and a little mischievous.

To my surprise, standing right there is Min Ho, his face lighting up when he sees me. Clearly, he wasn’t expecting Madison to answer the door, and for a moment, I can feel the air between us change. Madison’s eyes narrow with suspicion as she pieces things together. “Wait a minute,” she says, glancing between us with an intensity that could set the room on fire. “Are you two dating?”

I glance at Min Ho, a sudden wave of uncertainty washing over me. The charged air between us feels electric, and I can barely think straight. Before we can respond, Madison places her hands on her hips and demands, “You have to explain this!” 

Suddenly, the weight of expectations and emotions crashes down on me. What on earth do I say?

STAY AWAY FROM THE LIQUID

The Smile Virus comes in the form of of rainbow liquid and when someone touches it they start acting different.

They start acting Unstable, Violent, Insane, out of control ect.

The infected can also be unpredictable at times if not most of the time.

They have heightened senses such as hearing, sight and smell which can make it hard for survivors to sneak so they'd have to distract the infected as best as they can…

If caught by the infected the survivor would be ripped apart and eaten and sometimes before the survivor escapes they get bitten by the infected.

When someone is first infected they get headaches, nosebleeds, Insatiable hunger, Violent outbursts and even grabbing a sharp blade and using it on themselves.

Because a humans mouth isn't designed to smile from ear to ear the infected grab a sharp object and use it to create a big smile and they even laugh while doing it.

When they get really hungry they eat meat and they eat human meat…sometimes they eat themselves when they can't get ahold of any meat.

The most disturbing thing about the smile virus is that it causes the infected to start clawing at things…even their own skin and they laugh while doing so

Here's how to avoid becoming a " Smiler "

Stay inside Wear protection at all timed Careful not to make much noise incase it attracts the infected to your location Have a weapon on you at all times Cut into food before eating And DON'T TOUCH THE RAINBOW LIQUID

hi hi !! sorry this took me so long to get to!! ive been very busy and i have quite a bit of difficulty with motivation but i hope this is good!! ^-^

♡ ming can be very overprotective!! she may seem a bit overbearing at times but this is because she is so full of love and care for you!!

♡ while ming can be a little too much, luckily she always has jin around to help and remind her not to be so stressed all the time

♡ ming always has everything that you might need on her at all times!! no matter what if you need something she has it with her!! band aids, plushies, snacks, drinks, stim toys, and all of your favorite stuff!!

♡ jin loves to play games with you!! he will always get dressed up for whatever story you wanna tell!! and hes really good at making you laugh

♡ ming has a to-do list up always and makes sure youre always taking care of yourself!! she makes sure youre drinking enough water and stands with you while you brush your teeth in case you need help!! and shes always there to tuck you in and read you a story before bed <3

♡ jin is a great cook!! he will make you the nicest meals and snacks you could ever want!! he loves making new things for you to try!! even if youre a picky eater he will never make you feel bad if you cant eat what he makes! he understands and hes happy to make you a safe food and try something different another time

♡ together ming and jin love to take you out to places!! to parks, the movies, the museum, a show, or anywhere that you want to go!! ming is always right beside you making sure you dont walk off too far and jin loves to point out the things he thinks youll like!!

♡ ming and jin are wonderful carers!! they balance eachother out perfectly and they love eachother and you so so much!!
