25. RONDÉ - Hard to say goodbye This song was used in a Dutch comedy tv show (Even Tot Hier) that, like, critically and with humor discusses the news of the week (often national politics, but also world events). In this show, every week, they invite a Dutch artist to sing one of their songs with new lyrics - the lyrics are rewritten to cover last week's (political) events. I had never heard of this song until I saw it in the show and really loved it. This is the performance in the show but it's entirely in Dutch so probably not interesting for anyone reading this.

ANYWAY. It kinda became my samesong for a bit, I think I had it on repeat for 2 weeks or so. Still like it 😅

Managed to avoid a massive meltdown by switching earlier.

So we went to pull the garbage can up the driveway, but when we flipped one of them upright, water came pouring and splashed all over our legs and feet. And we're wearing shorts and crocs so like right on our skin.

By the time we'd made it up to the bathroom, whoever was fronting was crying and rapidly approaching a meltdown. Getting doused in garbage water was incredibly distressing for the contamination OCD parts

But I was able to snap to the front and put on my samesong and got to work cleaning us while avoiding contaminating anything else.

And in retrospect it's kinda funny how quickly we went from crying and approaching meltdown to calmly and effectively addressing the problem
