1. What are some of your biggest fashion obstacles? Recognizing over the years that I have gotten more rounder than normal, for a while I found it hard to accept the fact that my waist had increased from a 32 to a 34 and in some cases a 36. I stopped dressing for my former size and started dressing more comfortable and more realistic to my current stage of life. 2. Where are you from and how you describe your style? Originally, I am from Cleveland, Ohio. I moved to Atlanta in 2012 where I became more of the man I am today. I would call it Quente'Sential Style. I have borrowed inspiration from different people and cultures to create a look that as fashionable and comfortable as it should be. 3. Tell us about your biggest fashion nightmare and if it came true do explain. (attach a picture if you can) My biggest fashion nightmare is one day having the balls to slip into one of my former thinner me outfits and hearing that terrifying sound of Riiiiiipppppppp. 4. What are your 2019 goals? 2019 Has been great to me so far. My personal goal for the remainder of the year is to focus on more of the things that make me happy. I want to pursue more of the things in life that I am passionate about ultimately leading me to fulfill my purpose. I want to live with purpose on purpose and inspire others to do the same. 5. Where do you see yourself in five years and how do you see yourself accomplishing it?In five years my goal is continued happiness and fulfillment. My goal is to use the platform that I have cultivating over the years to inspire and assist others in becoming the most authentic and HAPPY version of them that exists. I want kids, I want to have dozens of stamps on my passport and the commas in my bank account to support it. 6. How long have you been on the journey of being a Big & Tall man? What's the biggest misconception you hear about Big & Tall Guys?I have been apart of the thicker community for about 5 years. I got comfortable in a relationship with food...lol and the family genes started to kick in. I think those common misconceptions are that all bigger guys like to do is eat and they can't dress. Those two are absolutely wrong. 7.If you could swap styles with one celebrity who would it be and why? When it comes to style I like so many different things. Honestly, I enjoyed the style from Marvin Gaye. He was a trendsetter during his time. It was classic but yet so loud in the statement that it made. The Business Trip | Jessie Garcia | Publishing 2024 | Advanced Reader Copy
Stephanie and Jasmine have nothing and everything in common. The two women don't know each other but are on the same plane. Stephanie is on a business trip and Jasmine is fleeing an abusive relationship. After a few days, they text their friends the same exact message about the same man - the messages becoming stranger and more erratic.
And then two women vanish. The texts go silent, the red flags go up, and the panic sets in. When Stephanie and Jasmine are each declared missing and in danger, it begs the questions: Who is Trent McCarthy? What did he do to these women - or what did they do to him?
Twist upon twist, layer upon layer, where nothing is as it seems, The Business Trip takes you on a descent into the depths of a mastermind manipulator. But who is playing who?
Jasmine is a down on her luck girl who has spent her entire life living paycheck to paycheck, in a relationship with an abusive man with Glenn and is finally ready to escape his grasp. With the help of her friend Anna and squirreling away money from her job as a waitress and barmaid, she is finally going to make it happen. On a fight from Madison, Wisconsin to Denver, Colorado, where she plans to get her life together.
But on this flight, she meets the prestigious Stephanie Monroe. Stephanie is a news director from Madison, Wisconsin, on her way to San Diego, California for yet another news conference, wishing that she would be heading off on a vacation instead of another work related trip. The two of them sit together in the same aisle, and exchange pleasantries. But, Jasmine now gets it into her own head that she is going to take over Stephanie's life.
And thus ensues Jasmine's plan: she follows Stephanie to San Diego after stealing her ID while she was using the bathroom on the plane, and enters her hotel room with ill intentions. After smothering her with a pillow, Jasmine stuffs Stephanie's body inside of the large suitcase she recently purchased, with plans to add ice to combat any postmortem smells and heavy weights and dispose of her body in the ocean. But, in order to get around Stephanie's demise and make it appear that she was at the conference for the few days, Jasmine portrays Stephanie.
At the conference, she meets fellow news director Trent McCarthy. Trent is an overzealous, recently divorced father of two. But his attitude isn't one that sits well with Jasmine. Hating men and women like him all her life due to her own shortcomings, Jasmine plans to make it appear that Trent is responsible for not only her death, but that of Stephanie's as well. Planting blood and bodily fluid evidence in Trent's suitcase, disposing of Stephanie's body as she planned, she now plans to head to Atlanta.
Jasmine is going to receive a fake passport from an old high school friend named Raven, and is planning to head off to Mexico where she has always dreamed of going. After luring Stephanie's friends to believe that something has happened, and planting it in her own friends heads that she has met the man named Trent, planting further evidence in his backyard, when the police arrive to arrest him, Jasmine is on her way to the greyhound station heading for Mexico.
Trent is livid that he is being framed for the murders of two women. His job is refusing to bail him out, and after learning that Trent had lied to him on multiple occasions within the past few days, his boss terminates his employment. Meanwhile, Jasmine remains in Mexico, making it to a destination she and Raven have talked about in the past, working a waitressing job and planning to purchase a cottage on the beach.
But, while working at the restaurant one day, Jasmine sees a major news story stating that Raven had been arrested and in a plea deal to get herself out of jail or a reduced sentence, has given up the jog and ratted out Jasmine, including Jasmine's first biggest secret: that she was the one responsible for the murder of a rich, high school classmate named Allison, whom she had strangled in a fit of rage at a Halloween party their Junior year.
Jasmine is confrontd by a male and female detective, as well as Stephanie Monroe, who isn't actually dead at all. Instead, Stephanie had hired an actress to play her at the conference while she herself went off on a weekend Mexico trip instead of attending the work event. The woman, Diana, and Stephanie, switched clothes and IDs, including that of their credit cards and such to make it appear legit, and instead, Diana was brutally murdered by Stephanie.
Stephanie resigned from her job after this, and Trent McCarthy and Allison's boyfriend, Drake, were absolved of the crimes they were accused of, and Jasmine is now going to be going away for quite some time. The perfect plan she had did not pan out when she didn't consider that the police could follow her movements from Denver to San Diego after meeting Stephanie on the plane, and several of Stephanie's friends and co-workers were able to figure out that Stephanie wasn't the one at the conference to begin with.
In the end, Trent travels to Madison to try to talk Stephanie into writing a book. But taking a page of Jasmine's book, she won't let the bastards win.

Here's some fun fact travel advisories from around the world.
Before everybody goes gung ho on America let's take a look at some things. We depend on foreign tourists, a lot.
Let's take Germany for example. Most employers grant up to 30 days of annual leave. The average across Germany is 28 days per year. The number of Urlaubstage is listed in your employment contract or collective agreement (Tarifvertrag).
French law mandates a minimum of 5 weeks vacation per year. And actually, that 5 weeks is a minimum. Most French people get anywhere from 6-10 weeks annual leave depending on their profession and where they work. And this is on top of paid public holidays. Don't let your jaw drop.
So you have all these vacation days that are astounding in different countries. And we have all these International tourists. Would you like to bet that the local chamber of commerce wants those people visiting their City?
So don't be so uppity when you read the following below.
Australia’s SmartTraveller website warns its citizens that it’s legal for Americans to openly carry guns in public and that people who choose to live here should “learn active shooter drills.” It also says, “Violent crime is more common than in Australia and gun crime is possible in all areas. Follow local guidance and instructions.”
Canada advises its citizens to observe normal security measures while visiting America, but to take extra precautions at our border with Mexico. Canada’s travel risk advisories also mention the potential for stumbling upon “criminal incidents associated with drug trafficking” when traveling at night in border towns and large urban areas.
The United Kingdom’s travel risk advice includes the same warnings about large cities and the U.S.-Mexico border. They add that travelers should never make terrorism jokes, especially in airports. They also say that mass shootings can and have occurred, but rightly include that they account for “a very small percentage of homicide deaths.”
As for Mexico’s travel risk warnings to its citizens visiting their northern neighbor, they focus on the potential for violence related to racial and ethnic tensions. One advisory cites an El Paso, Texas mass shooting where more than 20 people were killed. Mexico’s government advises its citizens to always carry their Mexican passport and avoid large crowds where rioting could erupt.
France lists America as one of the safest countries when it comes to travel risk, but also provides specific information about crime in certain cities. Visitors to Boston are told, “it is recommended to avoid traveling alone, on foot and at night, in certain parts of Dorchester, Mattapan and Roxbury.” French tourists visiting Atlanta are told to “be vigilant in isolated areas of the city center (downtown) after the close of business and favor taxi travel at night.”
Germany’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns of U.S. travel risks related to gun violence. Potential visitors are reminded that it’s easier to obtain firearms in the U.S. than in Germany and to beware of large gatherings. New Zealand’s warnings are similar, and they take the extra step of directing them to an active shooter response pamphlet published by the U.S. Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency.
Japan, however, takes an entirely different approach, providing specific actions to take if travelers find themselves in an active shooter situation. Travel risk advice includes hiding in a room and barricading the door, muting cell phones and escaping even if it means leaving alone. If those actions are impossible, Japanese citizens are told to “throw things close to the criminal, use them as weapons; scream; act with all your might.”
Israel gives the U.S. its best safety rating. Because of the level of terrorism the tiny country continually faces, it saves its harshest travel risk warnings for countries experiencing citizen-focused terrorism. Israel is less concerned about general crime issues.

“ Freedom for Mihriban Kadei, Tibet And Xingjiang Region”
When I was in detention house, I saw guys from the Uyghur ethnic tribe briefly before they were taking to their region to continue their sentence there. Then, I was not following politically well. I later heard from grapevines that they were group of 26 guys, that officers burst their hide out and recovered 6 million RMB but found no drugs. So, they needed to interrogate them for more. Their legs were shackled and get cuffed. One in our room was saying that the officers were talking nonsense, that the money was 16 million and it was meant for goods. That was in 2008 March.
As begun my prison life, I began to learn prison politics, Chinese politics and began to understand the real China man I found myself in their midst.
China is not a stable country no matter what your eyes and papers are telling you. In more than a decade I stayed in their midst, I found out that the country are constantly looking over their shoulders for unseen enemies both internally and externally.
The country has ambition of ruling the world by hook and crooks. So, they seriously believed that what matters is the ends, the means you used in getting to that end doesn’t matters. They believed that the West is full of hypocrites. What we’re doing, they have done and still doing. Why are they complaining when we do the same thing, is because we are far better than them in it?. ‘ they want to curtail China’s. This ambition they have had eaten deep into their reasoning that nothing remains there. Date, time and day have been assigned to it realization that they were using all kinds of demonic means to clear whatever is on the route the target realization.
Their president believed that those he was picked with were weaklings, he changed them and picked those he believed were in the same thinking realm with him, locked others he believed were against him being picked in the first place, dismantled their family and structures from the foundation, changed Constitution to extend his stay, threading and stomping where even the Angels fear to near. Believing and deluding himself that either the whole world have turned into woman or that, they’re too guilty to take action.
2019 October 1, he empowered his supporters with: “ We must be strong speech” and they all went to work both internally and externally. The results is what we’re witnessing both in Xingjiang and all Establishment in the world.
The communist party sat down and did their home work and came out with logic that: if the Arab world were jumping up and down against Israel in support of the Palestine’s, All of a sudden, they were calling on China to take over the role American was playing, the same China that invaded Moslems in the west of China and was transplanting the people from their tribe into the midst of the Moslems there to occupy their land and control them forever, is it not a sign that the Arabs have lost?
Even everything is not the same, or do you think that China has any right to claim that ‘it’s our internal affairs issue?’
What’s the definition of a country in your country?
So, in my opinion, it was the Arabs that empowered Beijing to recreate what Hitler did in 40s to his fellow Christians in Xingjiang against Moslems there that the Arabs have decided to sacrifice to hide their sin from themselves.
I don’t understand Arab logic if there was ever any.
Tell me, so, what’s going on there that is not an equivalent of Concentration camp?
Could a country am not qualified to be anything of importance politically, financially be regarded as my country?
A region you transplanted your tribe into to occupy their land and country, then control them by force and when they react, you put them in concentration camps and your excuse is that they’re being radicalized, could a place like that be a country?
A land mass that’s almost Nigeria 3x and your plans was to turn 50 percent of the youth into mental case by locking them up in the concentration camp you called internship camp? Even those outside are not sure of their freedom. When someone is constantly afraid of tomorrow, is it not a sign of mental case?
A place am not qualify to own a passport, could such a place be referred to as my country?
A place that you systematically holding the owners of the land back for your tribe to advance educationally, financially etc. and be ahead of them with about five generations, a place like that could be referred as my country, right?
Mihriban Kadei and other families like theirs are considered as enemies of Chinese enthronement, they’re seen as forces that cause Chinese government sleepless nights.
How can Mihriban and her likes be even thinking of moving abroad if they are not spies like I was labeled.
They were required to be living from hands to mouth and be contented with whatever is thrown at them from Beijing.
Since Mihriban Kadei And her husband were intelligent enough to be able to evade the law that were pursuing, then, Beijing is intelligent enough also to know that their mother and kids would bait to bring them back to China.
Beijing is gradually testing reactions of international community with their policies in Xingjiang before roll out their wider plans for the region. Spoken or written words are not enough, action is needed very fast in that region. Arabs should champion the course of people of that region before they themselves would be turned to history. I passed through that country and I know who they’re. One iota of truth is not in their mouth. They hunt like lions. It’s always ‘we and them’ attitude in everything.
Judging from experience in there, it is even Arab world that they’re after. If you can see beyond your nose, you would have seen it.
It would be interesting to hear you Arab world tell the world who the great Evil really is.
Freedom for Mihriban Kadei And all in Xinjiang province.
Even donkey years ago, before the coming of the whites to Africa, people have chiefs as leaders. Then, white came and go.
Why is it that China that went into Tibet and Xingjiang to free them as they claimed have refused to go. How come they have become more deadly to the people than their former leaders.
Are they trying to tell the world that those Uighur, Xinjing and Tibet people have not learn enough to warrant independent?, Why’s China making noise about Japanese activities during second world war?, Is it not what Japan wanted to do that they Chinese have done and were claiming right?.
Chinese should be made to tell the world when they would be through teaching those Xinjing and Tibet people whatever it is they are teaching them for them to be advance enough in Chinese logic to warrant independence. When are they going to be free from their colonial masters?.
Language not the same, Race not the same, colour, face not the same, culture and tradition not the same and yet, in 21st century, they’re still searching for independence.
What is surprising to me is that the world kept mute while this evil goes on in the name of commerce.
Hooligans shot people in Atlanta and Boulder and government of China was comparing it to their actions in Xinjing and Tibet.
What other signs do you need to figure out that psychologically, all isn’t well with those people. People that did the shooting have been arrested, how come China is still moving around freely?, How sure are you that from the way they were doing the comparison that they were not behind the shooting?. The way they were emphasizing the pandemic that was selecting only the blacks in America earlier last year, was I right when I was pointing it out?, Are you still in doubt about what was happening then and the source?
The questions still remains:
When will Tibet and Xinjing have their independent?.
Must they go through referendum to have independence from who came to liberate them from their oppressors?.

iktor Drago x Cyra (Black OFC)
Cyra (Ky-Ra) -Sun or throne
Kazimir (Kah-Zee-Meer) - Bringer or Announcer of peace
Viktor Drago is married to the love of his life, they have a 5 year old son. He is willing to do anything to keep them safe.
Warning: Kidnapping, abuse, mentions of child abuse
Flashback #8
Viktor couldn’t shake the feeling something was wrong. As usual he meet her at the gym when she was finished. She had been quiet, normally she had a story to tell him about her day.
Now they were eating dinner together and she hadn’t tried to steal food off his his plate.
“Vik…” she stopped looking at him before looking away.
“What’s wrong?”
“I leave in two months, I go back home.”
Everything stopped for Viktor. He knew this day was coming but still was not prepared at all. 2 months, he would no longer have his girlfriend here to hold. Surely when she got back to America she would forgot all about him.
“Viktor did you hear me?” She had set her fork down.
“No, I’m sorry.”
“I said, I don’t want to leave you, I love you.”
Cyra has never been shy, but telling a man that she loved him made her feel bashful.
“I love you too Cyra, how can we make this work?”
“Come with me?” She perked up, “I already got offered a job.”
“That would mean I would have to leave…”
“Ivan.” She said a scowl on her face, she never cared for the man.
“And my home, this is the only place I have ever know.”
Vik bounced around the ring, he was throwing light punches, not ready to down his opponent, they wanted a fight, he would give them a fight. He could already tell that his opponent was tired, his opponent threw sloppy shots that left him open. The bell dinged signaling the end of round 4, Viktor sat in his corner, looking around the ring into the crowd, he wanted to see his wife face.
“Damm you are doing good, two more rounds then lay him out.” his trainer said.
Viktor just nodded, spitting in the bucket before drinking some water.
“Is she coming?” his trainer asked.
“I hope so.” was all he said before shoving the mouth guard back into his mouth. The bell dinged and Viktor stood, this time he took his frustration out on his opponent, hit after hit to his middle, making him double over before Viktor hit him with a uppercut, his opponent went down, hitting the mat hard, blood spraying from his mouth.
____
“Cyra are you sure?”
This was Trey's third time asking her so she ignored him. Yes she was sure, she didn’t need medical care, neither did Kazi, they both just wanted to see Viktor.
“Fine.” Trey gave up.
The traffic around the arena was hell. Trey double parked in a spot meant for law enforcement, Cyra jumped out before he even turned the car off. She grabbed Kazi and walked towards the entrance.
She was stopped at the door, someone asking for tickets. She never had tickets, she tried to tell the guy but he stood firm. Until Trey caught up with her, he flashed a badge and they were let in.
“Hold him.” Cyra handed Kazi over to his uncle.
The arena was packed, seats filled to capacity with spectators. Cyra learned from Viktor that people loved violence, they liked seeing two men fight almost to death for their entertainment.
Trey walked in front of her, moving people out the way easily. They made to the section right behind the announcer table, Cyra leaned against the barrier on her tippy toes.
She didn’t say anything, just looked at her husband. Kazi started whining, he never been to a fight, it was too much for a child. When Kazi spotted his father he shouted out his name, causing Viktor to turn.
The slip cost him a punch that landed squarely on his jaw, making him stumble into the ropes. He leaned against the ropes, looking at them. Cyra smiled at him, tears in her eyes.
He pushed himself off the ropes, more energy in his step than before. He was going to finish this and now.
——
Flashback #9
“It’s our last night together.” Cyra was cuddled in Viktor arms.
“I got you a present.” He said quietly.
He gently moved behind her, reaching for something in his gym bag.
“Close your eyes please.”
Cyra did as he asked, eyes closed firmly.
“I never really gave you an answer on if I would go with you or not. I thought it over and yes I would love to go with you.”
Cyra eyes popped open in shock, she turned to face him, “what did you say?”
“Your eyes are supposed to be closed.”
“Forget the gift Vik, what did you say?”
He grinned at her, she would never get enough of this smile.
“I said I want to go with you, my gift to you is my passport and my plane ticket.”
Out of an Manila envelope he pulled out his brand new passport and an online ticket for a flight to Atlanta, the same flight she was on.
“Vik…”
“Yes?”
“Are you serious? Like this isn’t a joke.”
“I wouldn’t joke like this Cyra. I love you and I would miss you a lot, plus it’s time for me to go, I need to leave the nest.”
“Oh my god Ivan will kill me.”
Viktor eyes turned dark in front of her, his eyes were so expressive. You could read them like a picture book.
“I wouldn’t let any harm come to you.”
“I ment it like a figure of speech. But surly he is upset?”
“Yes, very much so. But it isn’t his choice, it’s mine. I can’t live my life for him and his goals.”
Cyra flung herself at him, looping her arms around his neck, pulling him down for a kiss.
He threw the papers down and gently laid her down on the bed. Cyra legs wrapped around his torso, bringing him closer.
Viktor was a passionate lover, his rough hands trailed under her shirt. Cyra gave a little whine when he detached from her lips, but quickly changed to a whimper when he kissed her neck. Viktor pulled her shirt off, throwing it to the side.
-----
Viktor was done playing, he quickly hit his opponent with a 3 punch combo, two to the ribs and as he bent over a left hook that laid him out.
He referee did his count, at the count of 10 the ref stood declaring Viktor the winner. The referee tried to do the traditional hold the boxer arms up thing, but Vikor quickly snatched away from his, running out the ring to get to his wife and child.
Cyra ran into his arms, Viktor held her so close, hugging her tighter than he ment to.
“Babe…” she squeaked out.
“Sorry, what are you doing here? You and Kazi should be getting check out.”
“We are fine, baby we are fine, not hurt at all.”
They walked over to the barrier so she could grab Kazi, Viktor took him as soon as he crossed. Kazi never seen Viktor like this, he wasnt allowed to watch the fight, never come to the arena, and by the time Viktor got home he was already cleaned up, taped up, bruises covered.
“Tata!!!!!” Somehow Kazi voice rose over all the cheers, boos, and talking of the crowd.
Trey hopped the barrier, being the voice of reason, herding the family to the back, past all the eyes, the reporters, and other spectators.
Behind closed door they broke down, until now Kazi hadn't seen her cry, but she could help it. The tears just flowed even thought she was smiling. Viktor had his nose in Kazi hair, pecking his forehead with kisses.
“God I missed you two so much.”
“I wanna get down Tata.”
Kazi wiggled his way down, already more interested in the locker room more than his parents. Cyra hugged her husband once again, needing to feel his mass, even if he was sweaty. They stood there quiet and in an embrace, just happy to be reunited.
There was a knock on the door and Trey got it, it was Viktor manger and trainer. She pulled away from his arms.
“Congrats on the win baby, I am so proud of you.”
Viktor didnt let her move out of her arms, Kazi came over to hug his dad legs.
“Let me get those gloves off Champ.” his trainer said.
Viktor reluctantly let her go, and sat in one of the chairs, letting his trainer take off his gloves and the tape underneath it.
“I cant wait to get home Vik, our home.”
“I know babe, me either.”
Cyra waited patiently while Viktor did his after fight routine, taking his gloves off, getting checked by a doctor, his eye was starting to swell and his ribs looked bruised.
He declined to do his post fight interview rescheduling for two days later, he skipped his shower, getting dressed quickly. Viktor picked Kazi up, wincing at the pain he was in. As a family they left to go home.
Later that night…
Cyra couldn't sleep, she kept checking on Kazi just to make sure he was there, after her third trip she slid back into bed quietly, not wanting to wake Viktor.
“You dont have to keep checking on him, you guys are safe.” he said quietly.
“I know, its just that I keep thinking this is all a dream.”
“Come here.”
Cyra snuggled into his side, Viktor wrapped her arm around her, not caring about his own discomfort, to be close to her.
“You know Ivan did this all, he was sill mad I left, left him, left my home.”
“You didnt leave home, you left him and built your own family and home. You have a happiness that he will never know.”
A tear rolled down Viktor cheek, “He could have hurt you two, I will never forgive him.”
“You dont have to we both know he is trash babe.”
“I love you so much Cyra, thank you for coming into my life, loving me, and having my son.”
“I love you to Vik, we are in this together until the end.”
Flashback #9
Viktor was overwhelmed, Cyra tried to prepare him for a new city, but he didnt expect this. they had landed at the busiest airport in America, Hartsfield Airport.
The walk from the plane to the baggage claim took them underground into a train to be transported to the other side of the airport. Viktor tried not to take up to much pace, but he couldn't help it. At the curb they waited for Cyra brother, another thing for him to be nervous about.
When a tall guy walked their way, he could tell it was Trey by the way she jumped to hug him. Introduction were made and Viktor helped load the bags, not saying much.
He opened the door for her, catching Trey staring him down.
“Ayy bruh you good, you being real quiet.” they pulled of into traffic.
“Stop Trey, he isn't much of a talker.”
Heat flushed his cheeks, “I am fine, just soaking in the new scenery.”
Trey proceeded to put him through 21 questions and Viktor answered them in honesty. Every now and then, Cyra jumped in telling him he didnt have to answer anything.
They stopped in front of a apartment building, Cyra seemed to be confused as to why.
“Whats going on Trey.”
“Aight so check it, I did something for you and I hope you like it. Like I know you already got a job lined up but I didnt want you stressing about anything, so I found you a apartment and paid it up for 6 months.”
“Wait, are you serious?”
“Yeah, come on.” Cyra got out the car so fast, Vikor didnt have the time to open it for her. He followed behind the siblings, as they chatted. The apartment was on the first floor and Trey let them in, stepping back so Cyra could inspect it.
Cyra grabbed Vikor hand, pulling him around the apartment, even small it was bigger than where him and Ivan home, old home he thought to himself.
“Babe this is perfect.”
He nodded in agreement, he didnt care where he slept as long as Cyra was by his side.
“This is our home now.”
“Yes, Home.” Viktor said.
Kazi splashed in the tub, getting water everywhere, Cyra let him, not caring he was making a mess.
Cyra had the news on in the background but wasnt paying attention to it at all.
Broadcaster: Ivan Drago, the famous boxer and father of Viktor Drago was arrested approximate 72 hours ago, He had been indicated on charges of kidnapping, child endangerment, assault to just name a few. Ivan Drago along with 4 other people have not entered any plea agreement at this point. Reached out to Vikor Drago for a statement and was turned down by his management.

Chapter Two
Chapter Three
“Attention passengers. We are now descending into Glasgow International Airport. The time is now 5:38. It is partly cloudy and six degrees. Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.”
Carrington turns the airplane mode off on her phone and immediately checks her weather app. 43°F. Not that bad. About the same as home. She sends a text to Cooper to let him know she made it.
Stepping outside, the air is wet. A slight drizzle falls from the sky. While in baggage claim, she decides to text Chris.
Carrington: I landed.
The ease of the airport surprises her. No problems with her passport. No problem with her work visa. No lost bags. A cab pulls up to the door as she goes back outside.
“Hi.” The woman says as Carrington gets in.
“Hi. Here’s the address.” Carrington hands the woman a piece of paper from her wallet.
Her phone vibrates.
Chris: I’m glad you made it
Carrington: I just realized I forgot to exchange my money.
Chris: I can cover it
She rolls her eyes and looks out the window.
“So where is it that you’re going?”
“I’m an intern on a film. They’re shooting her for the next two weeks I believe.”
“Gotcha.”
Chris: When will you be here? I can meet you at the gate.
“How long will it take to get there?” She asks.
“Traffic isn’t bad. Maybe 20 minutes.”
Carrington texts Chris back and goes back to the window. The sun is hidden behind a cloud and she could see the city in the distance. Her eyes kept falling from her sleepless flight. Before she knows it, the car parks and rain is falling from the sky.
“It’s gonna be 25.” The driver says looking at Carrington in the rearview mirror.
Carrington looks up through the front window and sees Chris’s figure standing by the gate, an umbrella in his hand.
“Give me just a second. I have to go get the money from him.”
She runs out of the car and into the rain. She ducks her head under the umbrella.
“Hello.” Chris smiles.
“It’s 25.”
He hands the umbrella to Carrington and gets his wallet out of his back pocket.
“Here’s 30.”
Carrington runs back to the car and the woman rolls the window down.
“Is that your boyfriend?” She asks, taking the money.
“Um.” She looks back at Chris, “Kind of.”
The trunk of the car opens and Carrington quickly grabs her bag. As she makes her way back to the gate, it opens. Her and Chris walk through and he covers her head with the umbrella again.
“How was your flight?” He asks and pulls her body into his.
“I didn’t get any sleep. Listened to a lot of music and got some journaling done.”
“I made dinner for you.”
Carrington looks up at Chris and smiles.
“Thank you.”
“We can drop off your bag at your trailer and then we can come back to mine.”
“That sounds great. But I’m not staying over.”
When they make it back to Chris’s trailer, dinner is sitting on the table. There’s a platter with grilled chicken and veggies.
“Oh, so you’re a health nut.” Carrington jokes sitting at the table.
“It takes hard work to keep up a body like this.”
“Wow. You are such a dick.” She laughs.
Chris stands at the edge of the table and serves them both. He then leans down closer to Carrington.
“Can I help you?” She asks.
“Give me a kiss.” He smiles.
She smiles back and reaches up towards him. His hand reaches the back of her neck and pulls her closer to him. The connection between them brings the familiar heat to each other’s lips. Carrington pulls away first.
“Can we please eat first?” She asks, her hand holding onto his forearm.
“Of course, we can.”
Chris sits down across from her and smiles. They begin having casual conversation, talking about the next few weeks of filming and travel. The minutes turn to hours as their familiar chemistry develops once again. Carrington feels her eyes start to become heavy.
“Do you want to stay here?” Chris asks.
“I shouldn’t but I will.”
He gets up and takes their plates to put them in the sink.
“And why not?”
“I’ve already invaded your space enough.” She sighs, also getting up from the table.
Chris walks up to her and puts a hand on her waist.
“I want you here. I promise.”
Carrington steps up to him and rests her head on his chest. He kisses the top of her head and rubs his fingers along the small of her back. He eventually takes his hands away from her.
“Come with me, the beds back here.”
As Carrington follows behind, she admires Chris’s figure. His broad shoulder, his nice legs, that tiny little ass. She chuckles and Chris turns to look at her.
“What do want to sleep in?” He asks as he begins to remove his shoes.
“Just a t-shirt is fine.”
Chris bends over to get into a drawer and then throws her a shirt. She picks it up and throws it back at him.
“That’s not gonna work.”
“Why not?” He asks, scrunching his eyebrows.
“Chris. That’s a Pats shirt. I’m from Indy.”
“Oh. Well. Get over yourself.” He gives her smile.
Carrington begins to undress, leaving only her underwear on.
“You could just sleep like that.” Chris says.
“Will you please just give me a different shirt?”
He grins and tosses her another one. She puts it over her head, the hem hitting her just above the thigh. Carrington sits down on to the bed and watches Chris as he undresses. The hair on his chest seemed a little thicker than the last time she saw him. His boxers seemed just tight enough, but still comfortable. He puts on a pair of thin, plaid pajama pants and then to put on a shirt.
“Could you, um, leave the shirt off?” She asks, “Your skin is so warm.”
Chris gives a smirk and puts the shirt back into a drawer. As he reaches to pull back the covers, Carrington gets off the bed to pull them back on her side. They both get into the bed and find a comfortable spot. After a few minutes of silence, Chris reaches over and turns off the lamp.
“Okay get over here.” Chris says.
Carrington feels the fabric of the sheet move as Chris moves his arm. She scoots over to nuzzle herself into his side. She places her head on his shoulder and a hand on his chest. Chris wraps his arm around her and rubs his thumb on her arm.
“I’m glad you’re here.” He whispers.
Carrington smiles and begins running her finger tips across his chest.
“So am I.”
----
Carrington wakes up and immediately feels the jet lag. She slowly gets out of bed, trying not to wake Chris. She leaves Chris’s shirt on and slides her pants on from the day before. She leaves the trailer and quietly shuts the door behind her.
As she walks to her trailer, she checks her phone. A few texts from Cooper, weather is cloudy and 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Time, 06:48. With all the time before filming, she decides to go for a run.
She puts on leggings and an Army hoodie with her hair in a high ponytail. Stepping out of her trailer, she sees the sun rising in the distance. She does a few stretches before putting in her earbuds and taking off on a jog.
Carrington pushes play and her running playlist begins. In Atlanta, she hadn’t had the time to go on a run. But this felt much needed. As she turned the corner of the lot, she saw the sun rising in the distance. Carrington picks up her pace as the tempo increases in the song. She goes around the large building and then heads back to the trailers.
Before going to her own trailer, she decides to go back to see Chris. She quietly opens the door and shuts it behind her. As she makes her way back to the bedroom, she hears the shower running. Carrington goes up to the small bathroom and quickly opens up the door.
“What the fuck!” Chris exclaims.
Carrington hunches over laughing.
“Are you serious?” Chris chuckles.
“You should have seen your face.” Carrington says through her laughter.
“There is soap, in my eye.”
Chris puts his face into the spraying water. While he does this, Carrington begins to undress and then gets into the small shower with him. She runs her hands down his back and wraps her arms around his waist.
“Well hello there.”
Chris turns around and Carrington looks up at him.
“Let’s go on a date.” He says to her.
Carrington sighs and moves her way under the water. She turns around to face him while she gets her hair wet.
“No.” She says flatly.
“Why not?” Chris asks, his hands tracing the outline of her body.
Carrington begins to wash her hair and trades places with Chris again.
“Jennifer practically threatened my internship. Plus, you haven’t exactly said what’s happening between you and Jenny.” She turns back around to rinse out her hair.
“Carrington. Hey look at me.”
“What Chris?”
The tension between them is thick. Their eyes don’t leave each other.
“Jenny and I are no longer together.”
"And you’re not going to get back together again?”
“Right now, I’m focused on you and only you.”
Carrington quickly finished showering and got out to dry off. By the time she had gotten dressed, Chris was out of the shower too.
“So why did you have a date with Jenny before you came here?” Carrington asks him once he comes around the corner.
“How do you know about that?” He asks and sits next to her on the bed.
“Jesus, I sound like a psycho.” Carrington lays back on the bed.
Chris lays back next to her. They turn their heads and face each other.
“We met up to officially call it quits. And you aren’t a psycho. You’re just taking precautions.”
Carrington checks the time on her phone.
“I’m gonna go back to my trailer. I’ll see you at the set meeting.”
----
“Now that was a waste of time.”
Carrington looks up from her notebook. Anthony Mackie stands next to her.
“How is it right for them to make up get up early and then say we’re gonna night film.”
“Didn’t you read the script beforehand?” Carrington asks.
“You did?” He asks.
“I couldn’t sleep on the flight over. Figured I’d be ahead of the game.”
“I’m Anthony by the way.”
“Yeah, I’m aware.” Carrington chuckles and puts a hand out. “I’m Carrington, the production intern.”
“Oh, you’re Chris’s girl. I saw you running this morning.”
Around this time, Chris notices Carrington after searching for her the entire meeting. He feels his heart clinch as he sees Carrington’s smile as she talks to Mackie. Chris makes his was across the room towards them.
“I’m not his girl.” She smirks.
“Oh, so then why did you stay in his trailer if you have your own?” He questions and crosses his arm.
“Mackie, don’t mess with her.” Chris says, putting a hand on Anthony’s shoulder.
“Evans. Mind your business.” She says.
Chris gives her a smug look. Anthony chuckles.
“I like her. She’s good.” Mackie says, slapping Chris’s shoulder. “Chris, you wanna come lift today.”
“I will.” Carrington says.
“You lift?” Anthony chuckles.
“Trust me she lifts.” Chris says.
Carrington and Anthony both look at Chris and then at each other. She then begins to walk away back to the trailer.
“Carrington wait up.” Chris says running after her.
“What Chris?” She stops.
“I didn’t mean for that to sound how it did.”
“It’s fine.” Carrington begins walking again.
Chris picks up his pace and walks beside her.
“Just one date. That’s all I’m asking.”
“I’m not losing this opportunity just for some guy.”
“Do you really think I’m just some guy?” He says, just loud enough for her to hear.
She stops and turns to look at him. His hands now in his pockets. Carrington sighs. She takes her hand and moves a piece of hair from his eye line.
“One date. Make it count.”
----
Carrington is woken up by a hard knocking at the door. She quickly gets off the couch and runs through her trailer. She opens the door and there stands Anthony Mackie.
“Are you stalking me?” She asks, squinting at the bright sky.
“No,” he chuckles. “I was coming to see if you wanted to come lift.”
“Oh. Yes. Right now?”
Mackie nods.
“You can come inside. I’ll be just a sec.”
He slowly follows her into the small trailer. Carrington goes back to the bedroom and shuts the door behind her. While she digs through her bag to find clothes, Anthony sits on the couch and texts Chris.
Anthony: With your girl, meet us at the gym.
Carrington comes out of the bedroom. She now wears an Army long sleeve shirt and a pair of green sweatpants. In her hand is a pair of Nikes and sits on the couch to put them on.
“Were you in the military?” Anthony asks me.
“Oh, no. Uh, my dad was in Vietnam.”
“So, he was really old when your parents had you?” He jokes.
The pair gets up and start to leave.
“Not really old, but yes older.” She chuckles
Carrington follows beside Anthony as they walk in between trailers. There’s what appears to be a garage behind a building that Carrington remembers seeing earlier in the morning.
“I told Chris we were headed over here. But he hasn’t responded.”
They walk into the building through a door on the side and Anthony switches on the lights. The floor is covered in black matting and the walls are painted a dull grey. It looks like any other home gym, but much more expensive. Carrington walks over to the garage door and pushes a button to open it.
“Do you want to control the music?” Anthony asks from the stereo set up.
“Anything from the 70s is what I typically listen to. Mostly classic rock.”
“I can work with that.”
Carrington connects her phone to the speaker and shuffles her playlist from the morning. As she is hidden behind the wall, she slips off her sweats and reveals spandex shorts. The song plays loudly through the speakers and Carrington begins stretching.
Chris is now walking towards the gym and the sun begins to shine. As he gets closer, he sees Carrington walking up to the squat rack. She ducks underneath the bar and keeps her head down as she adjusts her shoulders and hands. Chris leans against the doorway and nods at Mackie.
Carrington quickly flips her head back and her hair falls over the bar. Chris admires how her body quickly moves and gracefully lifts the weight down and back up again. She does this a few more times and then reracks the bar.
Chris walks over to her and puts a hand on her shoulder. Before he can say anything, Carrington quickly turns around and pokes a finger into Chris’s chest.
“I'm like evil, I get under your skin, just like a bomb that's ready to blow.” She sings along to the song with a grin on her face.
“Hi.” Chris chuckles.
Carrington places a kiss on his cheek and then moves around him. She goes to one side of the squat rack and begins to change the weights. Chris goes to the opposite side and changes them to match. He takes a step back and Carrington walks over to his side.
“What is that 150?”
“165. Did you graduate high school?” She looks up at him.
“You can lift that?” He asks.
“I’ve done 200 before.”
Chris takes a step back and looks at her through squinted eyes.
“What?” Carrington chuckles, and reaches up to tighten her ponytail.
“I’m just trying to figure out where that tiny body of yours gets all that power.”
Carrington walks back under the bar and gets in place again. Carrington unracks the bar and begins with her lift. Anthony walks up to Chris.
“Does she need a spot?” Anthony asks.
Carrington does about three more reps gracefully before reracking.
“I think that’s a no.” Chris replies.
“Come on Chris. Show me what you got.” Carrington smiles.
“Well let’s move it to like the basic 135.”
Carrington rolls her eyes and walks away from the squat rack. Chris and Anthony switch around the plates. The music changes from rock to rap quickly. The men quickly turn their heads to where Carrington is by the speaker.
“Okay where did that come from?” Mackie asks.
“I listen to certain music when I lift and run and different music when I do petty shit.”
Carrington walks across the room to where the dumbbells and kettlebells are sitting.
“What’s petty shit?” Chris asks, as he starts to stretch.
“Watching you lift a small amount while I do kettlebell swings.”
“You can quit it with the sass.”
Chris walks over to Carrington. She folds her arms and Chris does the same. Carrington takes a step closer to him and looks up at him.
“Make me.” She says.
Chris swiftly wraps his arms around her and squeezes her tightly. Carrington begins laughing.
“Watch me.” He says.
Carrington quickly stops squirming and laughing. She looks up at Chris with wanting eyes.
“Later.” Carrington says and falls out of Chris’s arms.
Chris and Carrington only stay for about another hour before the tension between them becomes too thick. They quickly walk back to the trailers together. Chris holding Carrington’s shoes, while she holds her sweats.
“So your place or mine?” Carrington asks.
“Mine is closer.”
“Perfect.”
When they make it to the trailer, Chris opens up the door and Carrington swiftly walks up the steps. Carrington puts her sweats on the couch and the shoes get placed on the counter.
“Did you lock the door?” Carrington asks walking up to Chris.
“Yes sweetheart .”
Carrington takes Chris’s hands and places them on her waist. Their lips meet and they melt into each. After only a few kisses, Chris moves his hands down Carrington’s body. His hands follow the curve of her rear just to the top of her thighs. He swiftly picks her up and Carrington wraps her legs around Chris’s waist. Chris walks them to the bedroom as Carrington begins to kiss his neck.
“How much time do we have before you have to get ready for shooting?” She asks.
Chris grabs out of his sweatpants and checks the time. A big smile crosses his face.
“I’ve got all kinds of time for you baby.” He whispers as he sits her down on the bed. “Arms up.”
She raised her arms up and Chris takes her shirt off for her. This leaves her in a gray sports bra. Carrington’s body falls back onto the bed and she scoots back. Chris positions himself in between Carrington’s legs. He begins by kissing her shoulder and then working his way down the middle of her chest.
The feeling of his beard sends a shiver through her body. As his lips reach her stomach, Chris pulls away. He grabs onto the top of her shorts and pulls them down off of her.
“Carr?”
She sits up on her elbows and looks down at him.
“You have the most beautiful body.”
The comment makes her blush. Chris begins kissing her thighs making his way to where she wants them the most. Before he gets there, he pulls up and brings his lips to hers.
“Chris...” She whines.
“Yes babe?”
“Fuck me please.”
“Only because you asked nicely.”
Chris stand up and quickly takes his pants off including his boxers. As Carrington watches his dick come free she sighs. She was addicted to him and it left an ache in her chest everyday she wasn’t with him. Chris lays back down in between her legs. He put the tips of two fingers into his mouth and then places them on Carrington’s entrance.
“You’re always ready for me aren’t you.” Chris smirks.
“Yes sir.”
The simple word makes Chris groan and he quickly enters Carrington. It had only been a week since they’d had the time to be with each other but they could both tell that it had felt like much longer. Chris picked up pace and Carrington buries her head into the curve of his neck.
“As much as I want to make this last, it’s just been so long baby.” Chris whispers.
“It’s okay Chris. I’m close.”
Within a minute they’re both panting and coming unhinged. Chris lays down next to Carrington and moves his arm so that she can lay on his chest.
“How’s your plotting for our date going?” She asks.
She takes her fingers and begins running them along his faint ab muscles.
“I think I want to wait til we’re back in the states. I know better places there. That is, if that’s alright with you?”
“I’m fine with whatever.” She smiles.
“What’s your place to eat?”
“Cheesecake Factory.”
Chris chuckles.
“Sorry was that a little too fast.”
“No. It was perfect.”
“You are such a romantic.” Carrington says and looks up at him.
“Just you wait. I’m gonna spoil you so much sweetheart.”

11 Questions
I was tagged by the dope af @karenpaage - thanks so much!
Rule 1: Post the rules. Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked, and write 11 new ones. Rule 3: Tag 11 people.
Your Questions
1. What’s your favorite random fact that you know? Can be any subject you want, just teach me something new!
Damn, I carry around so many it’s difficult to decide! Ummm, the name Wendy was created for the book Peter Pan.
Fun fact you probs know but I like people who aren’t readers/lit nerds to know - The Three Brothers Story from HP7 was fucking ripped straight out of The Canterbury tales. It pisses me off to no end.
2. If you could sit down and have lunch with one fictional character, who would it be and what would you want to talk about?
Literally the most difficult questions! Probably someone like Elizabeth Bennett because we would have SO MUCH fun just being dicks to stupid guys. Jo from Little Women would definitely have to be with us though... so I’m gonna need like a fancy luncheon party.
OR Vanessa from Atlanta. She is amazing - so gorgeous and strong and ok with not knowing how everything is gonna turn out and I want to be her best friend.
3. Above question continued: same scenario, but with one real-life figure, living or dead. Who’d it be?
Taika Waititi or John Boyega. No explanations needed.
4. What’s your comfort piece of media? Can be a song, a movie, a show - something that brings you peace and/or that you go back to often.
Doctor Who is the most comforting show to me, it seriously saved me from my depression countless times and I wouldn’t be alive today without it.
Sing Street is another, the music is just so amazing and it makes me cry in happy ways. Plus it’s my boyfriend’s favorite movie so I always think of the fun we have watching together.
5. Favorite trope (either in fanfic or in actual writing/film)?
I don’t read fanfic, otherwise this would be a way more fun answer, so I’d have to say the ‘meddling relative’/’misunderstood situation’. This seems lame but after reading Jane Austin it’s just so much fun! When I really fell in love with these tropes was reading/watching Atonement. What Briony does has such a horrible impact that I am so fascinated by the psychology behind it.
6. Do you collect anything? If so, tell me about it!
I collect books, vinyl albums, bluray steelbooks, and comics/graphic novels. I’ve also accumulated a lot of giant pandas over my lifetime because I love them.
7. What’s one thing you love that people wouldn’t expect you to love?
Newer pop music. I’ve always been such a music snob (media snob in general) so when I started college in 2011, One Direction just popped onto the US scene and people were astounded that I loved them. Sometimes I just want some fun junk in my earholes.
8. What’s something you’d love to do but seems kind of ridiculous/out of your realm of possibility at the moment?
TRAVEL! I am dying to go out of the country! I’d have to get a passport but I would love to see my friend in Sheffield and also go to Wales. I actually have a great job now and no longer living paycheck to paycheck but the fucking rona hit just when I got the job so I’m stuck in Kansas for now.
9. If you could go on a dream vacation - all expenses paid, wherever you want - where would you go?
Tokyo. It is where my boyfriend and I talk about going the most. They have all our anime and cats and mountains, what else do I need!?
10. What’s your favorite/preferred streaming service?
Hulu cos they got pretty much everything I need. However, HBO Max and Disney + are rising up as they add more content.
11. Villains or heroes?
This is kind of a cop out, I’m so sorry, but it really depends. I LOVE an anti-hero but I would die for Spider-man (in any universe). Mostly, if it’s superheroes or sci-fi I love the heroes but in other films and books I usually love the villians - whether they are true villains or just assholes - people seem to give more thought to their characters so I always want more. Plus, I always feel I see my own thoughts/feelings paralleled in them.
My questions:
1. Have you ever broken any bones? If so how many and how?
2. What is your favorite cartoon? It can be current or from childhood.
3. If you could live in any fictional world what would it be and why?
4. What is your favorite snack?
5. If you could spend a day with ONE band member/solo artist, living or dead, who would it be?
6. Share your heritage! Do you have any favorite traditions or customs? I’d love to learn!
7. What ‘extreme’ activity would you do if you were given the opportunity?
8. Who are your favorite social activists? Current or dead, it doesn’t matter!
9. What is your favorite article of clothing? Why do you love it?
10. Do you have any unique hobbies? (anything but reading and movies/tv lol)
11. What is your dream job?
I don’t think I know 11 peeps but I’ll tag @kaybakat @blossoming--flower @cryyptic-darling @bradschemicalromance

“Culture” Shock
All is well then a crazy panic comes over me. Who is this person I am looking at, speaking to me from, across the table? Where the hell am I? Who am I? HOLY S**T, WHO AM I? Panic. Panic. Am I alive?
In all this emotion, I have been trying to find articles that prove this feeling is, in fact, normal. I wanted to find articles about others who had this same experience, yet all I could find were steps of culture shock (that did not express this horrible feeling I was living). I wrote this in hopes that my experience could be that something for someone else.
Panic and anxiety are one of the scariest mind f**ks to ever have. Especially when you are in a place that is unfamiliar to you. Everything is new. Absolutely everything. I always imagined culture shock to be in the sense that all things material are new to you. I have been many places and have never felt like this before. This sensation is new to me, and with that, it is quite terrifying. I mean, I have had anxiety all my life, but never this intense; never this surreal. It has had me questioning everything. Is this life? Is life real? I am such a deep person, who strives to be strong, so feeling this made me feel absolutely crazy. I am critical on myself and strive to know myself in every way, but recently, I feel disconnected from myself and everything I’ve ever done. This loss of identity has had me feeling disoriented. It has me in a place feeling dark and lonely. No one understands what I am speaking of, which has me feeling even crazier.
Visiting a new city is one thing, but actually moving and adjusting your entire life and future to one, is another. It is exciting and scary. The emotions of stress are overwhelming. You are not only adapting to a new job, in a new city but to a whole new culture, entirely by yourself. People always say the same things to me: “You are so brave! I don’t know how you just pick up and move to another country!”, yup. It all seemed fun and easy, so I kept going. Until now my mind has popped like an overinflated balloon.
December 10th, 2015
I feel as if I am in a dream; a nightmare. I am sitting here trying to make sense of it all. I realize it’s not just USA I miss. I miss China. I talk about China. I compare it to China. Tokyo, Japan is not China. When we are scared, we crave the comforts of home, therefore, I want to go home. I miss my Mom. I miss my dad. I miss their vicious dog that tries to maul me to death. I miss it all simply because I am in a place I do not feel familiar with. That familiarity is what gives us that sense of identity. When everything is new and you are left alone to think and process, not just this new experience, but everything in life that has made you, you.
“Many travel for the idea of it; seeing exotic places and lives (as we should). We should all travel to learn about culture and the exotic people that consume this wondrous world. Fair warning, though… that is what I live for, and that is how I became so lost. I have seen wonders and have held personal experiences that have brought me to meet incredible people; people that will haunt my memories for the rest of my life. Though I haven’t been to too many countries, I have spent time living and subjecting myself to different cultures. Witnessing and experiencing a different way of life first hand, by yourself, is life changing. I have lost myself doing this and have learned that traveling does not always help you find yourself. Traveling provokes more questions by opening our mind to the mighty world that encompasses our individualized personification of life.”
- A passage I wrote September 2014… on the floor of a bookstore… in my hometown.
Upon returning from China, I spent some time at home. I had some major reverse culture shock that I don’t think I ever got over. No one could really understand it either. Anyway, there at home, I processed without really processing. All I did was mourn in the loss of the experience I had just had. Longing for it. I made a lot of art. I painted, I wrote, I photographed. That was amazing. Since graduating from college, I hadn’t been able to just create for myself. I picked up an internship for a startup magazine, where I was asked to become the Art Editor. I attended concerts and interviewed artists. On the side, I had become ordained to wed my brother and is amazing new wife in marriage. So much happening stepping out of an experience of the happened, I never processed anything.
Along with that in 2015, I had spent this past summer in Spain. I often forget that that all even happened. When I was in Spain, I lived with two different families in three separate months. By the time I was with the second family, I was planning a trip to Germany, and received an email regarding this job opportunity in Japan. I interviewed and accepted the job. It was fate; a blessing. I was immediately in four mindsets: Spain/Germany/Home/Japan. I was still experiencing Spain and was wanting to do specific things, was planning to go to Germany to visit friends, then getting home only to prepare for my departure to Japan. This was all in a span of a few months. I even ended up going through quite the adventure of going through two countries to get home from Spain. Germany flights were impossible to get out of (non-rev), my Visa was about to expire, and I needed to get home to prepare for Japan. It was a fun kind of stressful. I ended up taking a bus from Munich to Zurich, Switzerland, where I spent the night at someone’s home I met off CouchSurfing, only to try to catch a flight out the next day. Following some adventure, I made the flight where I met an awesome dude I ended up sitting next to. After nine hours of talking and drinking bourbon with this new friend, I was back in Atlanta. I was home and gave myself a week [my birthday week] before I started preparing for Japan. It was a rush. A stressful period. Yet, week after week, my departure was delayed. I was on my toes not knowing when to expect to go. I get an email, “Ok! You are going on Monday (in three days)!”, AHhhh, “OH WAIT, Your Visa wasn’t approved yet, so maybe next week!”…. This happened week after week for two months. It was getting to the point where no one believed I was actually going, and I myself began to believe I was not actually going.
Oh, but, finally, it actually happened! I received my passport with my work Visa, I had my ticket. It was happening. From that moment, everything following happened so fast. I left, I arrived, and it all seemed great. I met so many people, I felt I had known all my life, then all the sudden, a month goes by. A month! It feels as if it was a month’s worth of events put into just a few days.
December 18th, 2015
Our minds are like a tornado. Each is a different kind of storm. Some big, some small. Some carry on for a while; some diminish before they can even begin. My brain is a tornado that has been sucking up five years worth of experiences, memories, people, countries, hardships, love, and more. The further tornadoes roam, the more they suck up, and the more they grow in size. Imagine how big the tornado in my mind has grown over time. Now, I am in a place that brought me here as pure destiny. It’s surreal. I’m in a position where the storm has grown tiresome. I have no worry because I am set to be here alone for two and a half years.
The tornado is at a halt. The air is still, but everything the tornado had swept up, everything my mind, I had retained in five years, is crashing down at once. My brain is overwhelmed. I am finally being forced to process everything I have lived through, and I can’t believe it was me who lived out all those experiences.
Perhaps that is why this random lightning bolt of panic and disorientation has hit me. I suddenly feel as if I have no sense of identity. That I just awoke from a long sleep, and this place is so unfamiliar… or, maybe, that I am in a dream and a daze. I realize I am in fact alive, and it freaks me out because nothing seems familiar. My deep and philosophical mind along with my critical sense of being strong has not helped me in any way. I only look into it much deeper and convince myself I am crazy because I so badly want to feel my normal self again.
Isn’t it funny how this sense if being “normal” always comes back to haunt us? I, for one, have always been a disbeliever of “normal”; I have never thought it to exist. I always feel it to be something society created in order for us all to be the same. No human is the same. Humans are each different. I am different. You are different. To remember that can be so easily forgotten.
December 20th, 2015
It’s funny because I often say, “Great humans think DIFFERENT”, instead of “great humans think alike”. I never understood what was so great about thinking alike… If we all thought alike, then we wouldn’t have a Steve Jobs for Apple. We would not have Skype or Delta AirLines…. So why do we expect ourselves to be “normal”? If anything this worlds idea of normal is what makes us crazy.
As I began to write this, I received a phone call from a fellow missionary and Pastor here. He was checking in to see how I was doing. He said in language class this week he learned the Japanese word for, “different”. He said it is also the same meaning for “wrong”. He felt it fitting because to be different is wrong here. He reminded me that I am unique, and that is why I am here. To be that unique person, and to bring the special talents I have to offer.
I try to express this feeling to others, and they look at my like I am nutso. That helped with this situation a whole lot [jokes]. I quickly remembered, though. I remembered that no one truly understands what another goes through. We can hear their story, but we can never really know their story. So that fact that people look at me like a nutso doesn’t much bother me. I am twenty-five and feel as if I have lived the life of a ninety-year-old. My mind is a wonderland.
I can’t really figure out why I have been feeling panic and anxiety. Everyone back home who knows me keeps saying, “Jennifer, you just moved to the other side of the world. Again. Your mind probably just needs to process everything you’ve done in the past five years!”.
Everything I have been through is what has gotten me here. I have to remember that, yes. I am remembering that as I write this, but sometimes we go through so much and just keep going and going; never stopping to process. Our brains can’t handle it. Our brains will stop and make you question everything, process everything. I am not a machine, I am not supergirl. I am just another unique human being. I am not crazy; I am simply exhausted. I am not perfect. I must remember that. We all must remember that for ourselves. We are not perfect.
Most see me as a lucky individual. I agree. I am very fortunate. Not just because of the experiences I have lived out, but also for the drive and passion I hold close to me. This post isn’t meant for self-pity nor is it meant for the pity of others. I hope this can help remind people that at every moment, of every day, we are all just humans.
For so long, I just kept going. I have stressed about trying to do everything in the angst of time; about living out all my goals in order to fulfill my dreams. We make assumptions about people and their perfect lives, when in reality, they are going through something just as dark. Anxiety is a horrible thing. Especially if you are alone in a foreign country where everyone seems to keep to themselves. You begin to question your identity in an overstimulating place like Tokyo.
This experience has opened my mind even more so (and will continue to). It has opened a door to a new perspective by testing everything I have ever believed in. I’ve always believed: obstacles are often blessings in disguise.
We could sit around and wonder who we are and how we got here, or we can naturally allow the universe to guide us through faith and intuition. I am where I am because I had that faith, and sometimes life just seems way too golden to be true. We may never fully understand what drives anxiety, therefore, treasure even those darkest moments because they, themselves, turn out to be some of life’s greatest lessons. Everything that happens to us is for our complete benefit. If we are not constantly learning– growing– then what are we even doing?
Disclaimer: I do not like the term “culture shock” for this situation, though it was the most understandably amongst society. Japan is a very lonely and secluded nation. Just after two months of living here, I began to have this disconnection from myself. People live like this their entire lives. Japan has a dark side. In peace.

Sunday, though I don’t know if I can come up with seven
I have felt like crap for 2 days. Barely slept last night because I was in so much pain, and didn’t nap today. Three days now of a headache that doesn’t want to respond to any efforts to reduce it. Bout # 1,497 of kidney stones, bring it on. Let’s see what you’ve got.
Our youngest son graduated from the online school. We gave him his framed diploma and transcripts today and asked him if he wanted to do anything special. He went out driving with Wolf and came back with 4 Marco’s pizzas (including a gluten-free one for me) and some cheesy bread.
Tomorrow In 3 hours, Wolf has to be up to run down West of Atlanta with the load he picked up coming out of Canada on Friday. Then he can come home for the day. Josiah is going to ride along. I’m glad they’ll be back before noon, because both guys have sore throats and I’m going to make them go to the walk-in clinic.
Wolf shaved his head today. Not buzz-cut. SHAVEN. With his beard and the fact that he’s a big guy already, he looks like a giant. That shaven head feels like one of those creepy hairless cats. Just sayin’. I don’t mind the look though.
Our youngest has been waiting almost 4 years to be able to ride along with Wolf in the truck. We applied for her passport a couple months ago when she turned 12. Along about the time it should have arrived, we got a letter saying that my ex didn’t sign the consent form on the same day that he had it notarized. So I had to meet him at a notary and have a new form signed. Her passport finally came yesterday, but she can’t go out with him to Canada on Tuesday. Her dad paid for her to go to an overnight youth-group thing on Wednesday. Sigh. Guess she gets to wait a little longer.
Our kittens are so ADORABLE and active and loving. They are little purring machines. In the morning when I come out of our room, they come running to be petted before being fed. If we even reach in their directions to pet them, they begin to purr. And if I have to pick one up out of a plant or off the dining table and lightly swat its butt, it still purrs. So endearing.
It is SO HOT. I don’t want to see posts from people from Indiana or Illinois complaining about the heat. The temp in the shade yesterday and today was 95F (34.4?C) with a feels like of 3F degrees warmer. The air is so hot, it feels like you can’t breathe it. This is what we get for complaining that on Easter morning it was 40 degrees here in the South. From our mouths to God’s ears.
Looks like I came up with seven after all. Th-th-th-that’s all, folks!

So, this is my new Dynasty Fallon/Liam fic, I hope you like it. A foray into another fandom if you follow this show of course.
With or Without You:
Part 1
Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Beach Hotel – Dubai, UAE – local time 11:47pm
"Do you have a reservation Mrs" the curious employee at the front desk inquired, his eyes briefly dropping to scan her all white ensemble.
"Do I look like someone's wife to you?" She huffed. Maybe it was uncalled for but she'd travelled through more time zones than necessary and, to top it all off, the humidity was messing with her perfectly curled tresses.
"I'm sorry Miss," he stumbled, "I just assumed with that ensemble…"
"Can't a girl wear a white dress without all the damn assumptions?" She demanded. Sure, she was still poured into her fitted, Vera Wang gown but she hadn't had much time to change let alone think about her next move. Telling the pilot on her private jet to fly to Dubai was as much as she could handle for the moment.
"Of course," he apologised, bowing his head slightly. "Do you have a reservation, Ma'am?"
"Of course I don't," she offered, not quite expecting any person to ask that of Fallon Carrington even in the United Arab Emirates. "Okay, I'm tired and yes, not to prove your earlier point, but I just ran out on my wedding. The least you could do is steer me in the right direction and by that I mean my ex-husband's suite." She couldn't miss the way his eyebrows raised sharply at that comment.
"So, let me get this straight," he murmured, his eyes frantically searching his computer screen. "You almost got married but are here to find your ex-husband?" Fallon wasn't expecting quite this much judgment this late at night.
"Isn't that what I just said?" She asked, rubbing her temples slowly. "And while I'm at it, I also need a massage and some valium, it's been a trying day."
"I can only imagine," he observed. "So, uh, your ex-husband, what room is he in?"
"Do you think I'd be asking if I knew?" She scoffed. "Given this is the only seven-star hotel in Dubai I assumed he'd be here and, quite frankly, if he's gone somewhere else I might need to question his standards and completely reconsider this unpredictable excursion."
He looked at her perplexed. "Can I get you some water?"
"The only clear liquid I drink is vodka," she growled. "But we'll order that later. His name is Liam Ridley." He scanned his bookings, given the blank stare Fallon knew she'd picked the wrong alias. "Try Jack Lowden." Another search proved futile. "Or put them all together for Jack Liam Ridley Lowden?"
"How about that water?" He offered and she couldn't miss the way his eyes flickered towards security.
"I'm Fallon Carrington," she insisted, raising her voice as only she could. "I want to see your manager." He paused briefly before moving away, albeit reluctantly.
"Can't we go anywhere without you throwing a tantrum?" He whined. "I mean just once, it's so unattractive, Fallon."
"I'm sorry I'm ruining your day, or night," she huffed. "And last time I checked, you work for me but have been fussing with the cases at the concierge station while I've been subjected to Dubai's biggest smart ass."
"I had to check my Prada, rhinestone loafers were still intact after the flight," Sam replied defensively. "And last time I checked you could handle yourself, sis."
"Don't call me that," she groaned.
"But you are…"
"But the way you say it makes me feel so normal and old," she complained. "Last time I checked you were the married one and I was…"
"How about we talk about your current relationship status and that explosive turn of events later and after some much needed valium?"
"I need to find him," she murmured sadly. "I wouldn't have run out on my wedding and travelled this far otherwise, but that idiot receptionist has it in for me."
"Maybe this calls for some undercover measures," Sam offered excitedly. "I could inspect the premises and find Liam, I have a brilliant radar for gorgeous men."
"On second thought," she shook her head, looking around before making her way behind the desk. "Just keep watch, I'm going to search the reservation list."
"I'm impressed," Sam smiled. "Usually you just stamp your feet, yell loudly and throw a tantrum so this is an improvement."
"You realise I can fire you at any minute, right?" She replied through gritted teeth, her eyes scanning the names but nothing was jumping out and by the way Sam was flapping his arms and the noise she could hear emanating from the back office Fallon knew her time was almost done.
Her finger stopped suddenly, there was something about that name that grabbed her attention. She noted the room number and resumed her position for the approaching manager and smug side-kick. Before a word could be said, she slapped her passport, Black Amex Credit Card and an impressive wad of Dirham currency on the desk. "I need two suites; my assistant will help you with the arrangements."
Sam gave her a puzzled look before turning to fill out the obligatory paperwork. Fallon stalked towards the elevator, stopping the doors before closing and stepping inside. The couple inside gave her a curious glance before selecting their floor, she was glad that after the past few days something was finally going right and she didn't need to intervene.
Leaning against the back wall, Caroline closed her eyes planning just what she was going to say but nothing came and suddenly she felt stupid. The elevator dinged signalling his floor and she almost didn't make her way out, Fallon was that nervous.
This wasn't her.
At all.
But she knew there was a reason why she'd made the mad dash out of Atlanta and to Dubai. She just hoped she could explain it to Liam and herself at the same time.
The number 907 was emblazoned on her brain and she made her way almost in a trance to that door. Inhaling sharply, Fallon steeled her nerves before knocking, albeit lightly. As time passed, she refused to exhale the disappointment growing by the silence, until the door flew open.
Naked, bar a white towel slung low on his hips, Fallon was momentarily speechless. This wasn't how she saw things going given she had to formulate words and an explanation for her sudden appearance. But they didn't come. His blue eyes met hers before moving lower briefly.
"Am I supposed to be congratulating you?" He murmured, his eyes slightly downcast. "Or do you usually visit international hotels in dress-up, Fallon?" The way he said her name almost broke her resolve completely.
"I came to see you," she began slowly. "But I'm not gonna lie, the service in this hotel is terrible. The receptionist had the nerve to judge my choices in life, and wouldn't tell me your room number. And I even explained that you were my ex-husband but obviously it wasn't enough. I can tell you right now he won't be getting a tip."
"I'm sure he'll be mortified," he said, a slight smile tugging at the edge of his lips. "But how did you find my room?"
"Trust me, I covered all the usual aliases," she teased. "But what can I say, the name William Thacker stuck with me."
"Wow, says the girl who reverse quoted Notting Hill to me before her grandfather's funeral and swore she'd never seen it?" He smirked knowingly. Fallon wanted to hate his reaction, but it was the most gorgeous thing she'd seen especially since he was so barely clothed. "But it seems as if Julia Roberts is a running theme in your life given your current Runaway Bride attire."
"Now, that is a long story and for the record I hated that film…"
