Quick sprite of Samara now that I got my laptop repaired

I don't have the full stories and build-ups for these figured out yet but here's the futures for my Choices OG HSS MCs and HSS:CA MC:

Evie Ayana (main Choices OG HSS MC): I definitely know that she'd go to a local college and pursue a communications studies major (though possibly starting out undeclared). Sports will probably become more of a hobby for her. Her main interest is becoming an author/writer, particularly for fiction.

BandAU!Evie Ayana (AKA in which she does band instead of sports): Maybe the same as proper universe Evie, but it's also highly likely that she'd end up pursuing a career in music. Proper universe Evie does get into duets and couples singing-dancing performances/competitions with Aiden, but it's mainly as a hobby. BandAU Evie might pursue that more seriously.

Alan Parke (second Choices OG HSS MC): He's big into dance and cheerleading and gymnastics, so he might pursue that. Most likely career future are those activities and maybe modelling, because he's a diva. But he's also been praised for his strong sense of self and how he never backs down to advocate for justice, so he might also be good in a law profession.

Samara Al Hakim (third Choices OG HSS MC): I haven't figured out her future yet, beyond her and Caleb starting their own bakery after they get married.

Cher Lee (HSS:CA MC): She's definitely sticking with theatre and acting in college and as a career.

I'm curious, what does your MC do after graduating high school?

For me, I can see Rosalyn going to college to major in psychology with a minor in education then going off to get certification to become a teacher, where she'll work her way to becoming the principal of Lakeside Prep (her school)

what initially drew samara to caleb (+ vice versa)?

So here's basically the rough draft for their dynamic:

Samara will find Caleb cute when she first sees him, but it's a fleeting attraction. It will take a while for her to develop a true crush on him and I'm not yet sure when it starts.

However, she will end up spending a lot of time with him when she sees he has people like Brian and Zoe. Her dad has had a bad history with marriages- the first one being full of arguments and the second one being borderline abusive. So seeing how Brian and Zoe treat Caleb, really sets her off.

She's the "stays out of conflicts unless she absolutely *has* to get involved" due to her trauma, and in this case she definitely feels she has to get involved.

Eventually she will develop a thing for him. Caleb is super kind, loyal, positivist... after all the bullshit Samara has been through in her life, she'd values people with those qualities. To her, he'll seem like someone she won't have a lot of disagreement with... right?

Book 2 will probably be rather angsty for them. Caleb joins the hall monitors, but Samara is very quick to pick up on Isa's red flags. There may be some tension, but in the end, Caleb will stand up to Isa twice, and Samara really admires him for that. He's not only kind and loyal, but now he's a lot better at standing up against toxic people. Samara will come to the realization that conflict is a natural part of relationships, even good ones, what's important is knowing how to manage them. Sometimes you work things out together, other times you need to walk away, other times you need to fight back.

And she comes to view Caleb as someone she knows she can work things out with. She feels a sense of companionship with him after all of that.

Caleb on the other hand would really admire Samara's assertiveness. She's always pushing him to be his best, she helps him realize who she should walk away from. She can be very pedantic, but she clearly wants the best for him. She still believes in him, even after he fucks up badly with Isa.

Greed 7: is your muse prone to shopping sprees? if so, what do they usually indulge in buying?

Evie: Is VERY prone to shopping sprees. Do not let her into any mall without supervision, or at least not into any stores that sell scented/aromatherapy bath/care products, embellished stickers, or cute little plushies of anything.

Alan: Is VERY prone to shopping sprees. Will clean out the women’s clothing/accessories sections of any store in seconds flat (well, not actually seconds flat, he does have to try stuff on).

Samara: Is not highly prone to excessive shopping, but does have a weakness to anything rainbow-themed.

Greed 10: would your muse steal anything?

Well, all 3 of them have stolen Hearst's Spirit Stick, albeit as a revenge prank. But discounting that…

Evie: No, but if she finds a tiny little trinket lying on the ground, she might pocket it for herself.

Alan: No, unless there is some form of injustice that is preventing him from acquiring said thing. For instance, although in my headcanons the school does allow him to wear the girls cheer uniform, hypothetically if they did not and him screaming and raging at them was unsuccessful, he would have snuck in and stolen a uniform for himself.

Samara: Not unless she absolutely has to.

Pride 2: in what areas might your muse be a little overconfident? are they overconfident in the sense that they don't have the skills to back it up, or in the sense that they do have the skills but they are obnoxious in their confidence?

Evie: Can exude confidence, but is not overconfident. She still has very cautious and impulsive tendencies.

Alan: Less so overconfident, moreso hyperconfident. He has the skills to back himself up, he can be excessive but not obnoxious about his confidence. The thing is that he has zero sense of humbleness or modesty. This benefits him in the sense that he has zero capability for self-loathing. But it also harms him in the sense that he can be a bit ignorant to others’ needs or goals.

Samara: Is relatively confident, but definitely not overconfident at all. Moreso just comfortable in herself.

Pride 4: is your muse comfortable with apologizing to others?

Evie: Yes, but it can be difficult for her. In some situations, she may need to apologize, but she’s unsure of how genuine the apology would come across. In other situations, she can be unsure of whether she’s the (only) one who needs to apologize.

Alan: Yes, but it’s not something he’s used to. Normally, it can be difficult for him to see when he’s in the wrong. But when he does, he is able to apologize with relative ease, and he does feel better for doing so.

Samara: Somewhat. She knows it’s good to apologize, but she still feels bad for her participation/behavior in the conflict in the first place. Especially due to her “don’t get involved/don’t start shit unless I absolutely have to” tendencies.

🌳 - What’s their extended family like?

Honestly I haven't figured out much about Samara's extended family yet, not even either of her mothers lol. I am considering the headcanon of Samara having an older sister named Carmen but I'm not sure if I want that to be an older sister or another OG HSS MC. I would like to give at least one of my OG HSS MCs a sibling.

🍽️ - What’s their favorite food?

Anything rainbow-colored, really, because rainbows are a huge comfort visual for her. Skittles, M&Ms, Fruity Pebbles, multicolored pastas, etc. Which of those would be her favorite... I'm honestly not sure yet.

Samara chooses to keep Myra’s secret because she feels Myra has gone through enough hell from Brian already. She has seen manipulation up front in her very own home, and even though her and Myra's situations aren't the same obviously, she sympathizes with Myra she can’t bear the thought of letting her get in any sort of trouble for doing something out of being manipulated/threatened.

It’s also quite surprising to her that Caleb "loyalty is everything to me" would want to turn Myra in for trying to keep her own best friend safe, even if she was following along with Caleb’s ex best friend who betrayed him. On one hand, she’s definitely proud of him for being more no-nonsense about Brian’s BS. But on the other hand… yeah.
