Hiii I luv your writing🥺 it’s so soft and sweet.
Can I request for multiple people in one post? Like headcanons? If so, could you write headcanons for Jake, Johnnie, Sam and Colby on how they felt seeing you for the first time/what they noticed about you/why they were attracted to you? If not, then just with Johnnie is fine!! Thanks so much🫶🫶
Tumblr media
☆ Ahhhh anon thank you!!
☆ Ofcourse I can!
☆ Headcanons :)
☆ Fluff/ Suggestive for Colby’s part :)
☆ Hey guys! Before anything else I would ask you to request anything you want because I've lost a lot of motivation and it would really help! :D (Please look at pinned post to see if requests are open.)
☆ Creds to @cafekitsune for dividers :)
Masterlist | Pinned post
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jake:
☆Jake would see you and immediately turn to his friends, “Look how pretty she is!”
☆ Jake wouldn’t have enough courage to go and ask for your number without his friends help.
☆ He doesn’t want to be the weirdo that asks for a girls number, even if he’s not fully sober I don’t think it would give him the confidence.
☆ After a lot of convincing from his friends he would eventually walk up to you.
☆ He would definitely be awkward, not knowing what to say because he doesn’t want to blow his chances or make you uncomfortable.
☆ Would walk up to you and properly see you and fireworks are lighting in his eyes.
☆ Jake would start small talk but eventually just say something along the lines of “Can I get your number?”
☆ If you say yes he would run back to his friends and be like “Guess who get their numberrrrr.” And would be a lot more bubbly/giggly the rest of the time he was out before eventually leaving to go home to message you.
☆ Would definitely spend the rest of the night on call with you.
Tumblr media
Johnnie:
☆Johnnie will not walk up to you,way too scared.
☆ He saw you across the room and immediately wanted to go up to you and call you beautiful and talk to you about everything.
☆ Would eventually send one of his friends up to you to ask for your number but instead of giving it you would walk up to Johnnie instead.
☆ “Hey,Johnnie Right?” And he melts just because you know his name (Even though his friend told him)
☆ Would definitely stutter to ask for your number but ofcourse you said yes and his nerves calmed down a bit.
☆ Would end up leaving his friends so he could talk to you alone and have a mini date.
☆ Would talk to you about how he loves your outfit, your hair, makeup, anything. His love language is definitely words of affirmation so if you compliment him back he feels like he’s met the one immediately.
☆ Would invite you to another ‘real’ date before asking for your number and saying he should leave.
☆ His friends would not hear the end of it and neither would yours.
Tumblr media
Sam:
☆ He would go up to you without even telling his friends and go over to you.
☆ He would start with small talk before finding out something about you and talking to you about that entirely.
☆ Finds your interests really cool and would definitely keep talking about them whilst throwing in compliments about your outfit etc.
☆ Would tell you everything he knows about your interests and would eventually talk about his for a short while.
☆ Wouldn’t want to be the creepy guy asking for your number if you don’t know him so he would talk to you about half an hour before deciding to ask.
☆ “Do you think I could have your number?” When you say yes he immediately reaches into his back pocket to grab his phone.
☆ He would keep talking to you afterwards instead of going back to his friends.
☆ When he gets home he would call you and talk to you all night if he could even staying in call if you fall asleep.
Tumblr media
Colby:
☆ Would see you across the room at a party to be fair.
☆ If you were taking shots he would stare you down whilst you did.
☆ He would walk over to you without thinking about it,doesn’t need the alcohol or his friends to hype him up.
☆ Definitely Cocky about it and would ask for you number immediately.
☆ He would definitely be respectful but is still very cocky.
☆ He compliments you like there’s no tomorrow,he loves everything about you and your looks are just an add-on to his feelings.
☆ At the end of the night if you were still at the party he would ask if you wanted to come back to his place.
☆ Extracurricular activities happened that night if you said yes 🫡.

I just want to feel
Pairing: Colby Brock x Fem!best friend!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: your best friends, Sam and Colby, ask you to be in one of their Q&A videos, but there’s alcohol involved… a lot of it.
Warning(s): SMUT! Mature Language, mature themes, kissing, alcohol, unprotected p in v, Friends to lovers trope :)), choking etc.
This is a long writing so I’m sorry for mistakes!
Tumblr media
“Are you sure I should be in the video? I mean, your fans barely know about me” You ask for a final time as Sam leads you to the living room, his recording camera already set up in front of the couch where Colby had been sitting. The two of them were wearing all black so you did too, a black off the shoulder sweater that was old. It was one of the main things you’d leave at Sam and Colby’s in case you ever crashed for the night.
While most people would kill to be in their videos, you never really saw the point. You were somewhat camera shy and a complete nobody. Why would anyone care to see you on the screen? Not to mention all the random internet ships that come with it all. You grew up with Sam, which means you ultimately grew up with Colby as soon as they met. You were only a teenager and now that your adults, you stay at theirs from time to time when your out with friends and get wasted at a party.
Colby would always come and get you from them.
“Our fans will love you. Just be honest and chill, okay?” Sam nods toward Colby and you walk past him to sit next to the dark haired boy, his strong cologne filling your nose.
“Don’t be nervous, at least we have alcohol” Colby’s comment made a small laugh escape from your lips, and you shook your head at his playful smirk. He was right. Alcohol always calmed you down and made your anxiety a little bit less of what it usually was.
You watch the blonde lean forward to turn on the camera and Colby does the same, although you sit back and watch them do their intro. You’d only been in a few other videos of there’s as a small guest but they always made it known to their fans who you were. After all, you all basically started off nobody’s together.
You remember the last morning you had left for school with Sam in freshman year. It was the last day you’d left alone with him for the rest of high school. Your parents were close to each other so you and Sam had practically known each other for most of your lives, but that day, when he met Colby, it wasn’t just the two of you anymore.
The three of you would take the bus together every morning and walk home every afternoon, spending almost every second in between still with one another. It was perfect. Your group was so refreshing, it felt so right.
Your first argument was when you were in junior year, at a party you knew you shouldn’t of been at.
At the time, you’d been talking to this senior, James. He was the captain of your schools swim team and fairly muscular for his 17 years of age. That night at the party was the first time you’d really done anything, he kept handing you shots and like an idiot, you took them. Looking back on it now, you know it could’ve been avoided, but you also trusted the boy you liked. You truly wanted to just fit in with his friends.
That was until he tried to to undo your crochet top in the middle of the dance floor, whispering dirty nothings into your ear that made you feel disgusting.
When you told him off, he got angry with you, grabbing your arm and trying to pull you away so he could get you alone. People were starting to stare and you were starting to get embarrassed, like you were some random slut he’d been taking upstairs.
But then he was ripped away from you, and in only a matter of seconds, Sam’s hand was laid on the small of your back, checking you for bruises the boy might’ve given you. He was trying to talk to you, but you couldn’t tear your eyes away from the chaos on the floor.
“Colby, get off of him!” You scream, noticing the blood coming from James’s face. Colby was on top of him, punching him the hardest you’d ever seen anyone punch, not sparing him anything. Sam held you back when you tried to get close, they saw what he did to you and there was no way in hell they’d let it slide.
The sound of police sirens fill the street and everyone is quickly running out of the house, and finally Colby stands up. He wipes his now busted lip before looking back at his two friends, but you couldn’t take your eyes off the bloody mess laid on the floor.
You hated blood.
“Y/N-“ you push yourself off Sam and past Colby, looking out the window to watch the police cars pull in front of the house. It looked like a murder scene, and you were so in shock you couldn’t even think straight. “Y/N, we have to go” Colby tries to grab your arm but you quickly pull it away, and now he’s able to see the tears streaming down your cheeks.
“Get out of here!” You can hear the officers radio the closer they get, and all you could think about was getting Sam and Colby out of there. “Go! Please just go!” Your pleading words make it almost impossible to not listen, and with only a few more seconds, your friends were gone.
That was the day you realized the severity of your friendship— or at least you and Colby’s friendship. The fact that all of you would do anything for each other, whether that was beating up an abuser, or putting your life on the line for the other person.
Ever since then, you and Colby had this undeniable tension between the two of you. It was weird, like something you couldn’t figure out. It was only made purely visible that night.
You’d never even kissed Colby, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t think about it sometimes. Your usually able to hide it, your desire for the boy, except when your at parties.
Whenever you drink, it’s like everything has to come out the way you think it. Nothing like liquid courage, huh? That’s the exact reason you didn’t want to do the video.
You never stopped thinking about that night.
“Y/N?” You blinked at the touch against your arm, and Colby was looking at you with a slight confusion on his face. “You okay?” You notice the camera’s recording light and nod, sitting up with a smile. “I think it’s time to get drunk, huh?” He nudged you and you nod with a laugh “first question!”
One of your other friends was there reading the questions for you, and even though you thought you’d start off light, she did not give you a break.
“What’s the worst doing the dirty experience you’ve had?” Sam and Colby stare at each other for a second until one of them laughs, shaking their head with the dumbest response. Sam, of course makes a joke out of it but Colby has no shame in what he says, as always.
“One time I had a girl use a lot of teeth, and uh… we never talked again. It was very awkward” Sam hisses at the statement, which makes you laugh too. “What about you, Y/N?” Colby turns to you and your face almost turns red from the sudden eyes on you. Everyone in the room and the camera was waiting on you now.
“Uh… I guess the last time I was talking to a guy. I had to fake the whole thing and he finished quick so it just felt so awkward and it was silent the rest of the night” Colby and Sam raise their eyebrows at you but are laughing at the same time. They knew who you were talking about.
“Colby, why do you post with girls on social media and never tell the fans what’s going on?” The question takes all of you by surprise and Colby’s eyes go wide. That was exactly what happened with you and why you didn’t want to be on the channel that much anymore.
“Umm…” He laughs nervously, looking over at you for a split second. “Because sometimes, I don’t know what’s going on, alright? I’m just posting the post and maybe it turns into something or maybe it doesn’t?”
“It’s not like their your girlfriend” Sam interjects and Colby nods agreeably.
“Let’s just say if I had a girlfriend, you guys would know” After you guys are done with that question, your kind of sitting back and watching the two answer at that point. Except they had to drink once so you did too, now you were all one shot in.
“Colby, why do you have a pair of handcuffs in your room?” Everyone’s face is in shock in the room as they look at Colby, waiting for his answer. He laughs nervously again, looking over at same with wide eyes before sitting up.
“I uh… you know I-“
“Might have to drink on that one, huh?” You tease and he rolls his eyes at your words with a laugh, closing the alcohol bottle he was about to open.
“No, no. I um… I use them for personal fun. Yeah, that’s-“
“What the fuck does that mean” You and Sam burst out laughing but your friend shakes her head. “Judge says no. Drink!” Sam hands him the bottle and Colby’s face is now turning a slight red. A tint only you could see because of how close you were.
“I’ve used them for sexual fun” He says just as he’s about to pour the shot, but your friend rolls her eyes and nods that he doesn’t have to drink.
“That was luck” Colby nudges your arm and shrugs, that annoying smirk of his only making you laugh.
“Name two dirty kinks you have” The girl reads and all three of you are wide eyeing the camera. Sam curses under his breath and Colby is still in shock. It was still so early in the game, already?
“Wait, I’m not answering that. I already said one, right?” Sam agrees to Colby but the judge shakes her head. “Just one more then? I already day said one!”
“You go first, Y/N” Sam cuts off his clearly pressured friend and they both turn to you, but your face is an even deeper red then Colby’s now.
“Um… I don’t—I mean it’s been a long time so I don’t really know…”
“Oh come on, Everyone has them” Colby teases and you glare at him, letting out a sigh as you sat back on the couch.
Apart of you was afraid to tell them, because you’d never really been that open with them about sexual preferences. Sam wasn’t the one you were worried about, him and Katrina were perfectly locked in with each other and you knew whatever you said didn’t matter.
But with Colby, there was always this unspoken tension between the two of you. One you tried to ignore but always failed terribly when you’d see him make out with another girl. You were afraid he’d see right through you if you answered the question, and if there was one thing you couldn’t ignore,
It was the way he’d look at you.
“I think… I think choking is attractive, but like not too aggressively, you know?”
“So your submissive?” Colby’s words go through your ear and straight down. He was clearly trying to get to you with that question, and there it was again.
The tension between the two of you.
“Sometimes” You try to cover it up but you can feel his eyes piercing right through you, his smirk showing the small of his pearly white teeth that always made you blush. “What about you then, hmm? Mr. Talk shit” You push his face and the two of them laugh, but Colby is no longer embarrassed to say it.
“I like to be Dominant” He says to the camera and Sam blows air from his mouth, shake his head in disbelief. Colby isn’t looking at you on purpose. Oh god, this wasn’t how it was supposed to go.
You lean back on the couch, scratching your nose to try and hide your burning hot cheeks from everyone’s eyes. It was like he was doing it on purpose. He was so clearly teasing you.
And you wished it wasn’t working, but it’s been so long that it’s impossible for your stomach not to twist into multiple knots.
Or at least that’s the excuse you gave yourself.
After many more questions and many more drinks, the alcohol started to take a toll on all three of you already. You had only had three shots and even the camera was hard to focus on. Sam and Colby’s eyes had been getting red but yours were harder to see because of your eyelashes.
“Who do you think is the most attractive clubhouse member besides Kat” Colby and your own eyes go wide and you both stare at Sam. Obviously he couldn’t answer that, but neither could you, right?
“None! Sorry, gotta drink to that. Can’t answer cause it ain’t true” Sam sasses the camera while opening the bottle. Colby laughs, both of you applauding your friend.
“Yeah, I’m gonna drink to that one as well” Colby reaches down to grab the other bottle from the floor, pouring it into his shot glass. “I can’t answer that, but I do have someone in mind” he cheers to the camera and his words alone make your stomach twist once again. It definitely wasn’t you, but saying something like that… after the other questions..
“What about you, Y/N?” The girl asks as the boys down their own shots. She raises an eyebrow, “might as well give us something here, right?” As much as you wanted to decline and run away embarrassed, you could feel the liquid courage increasing.
The way everyone looked at you, they all knew who it was. You leaned back with a huff, you could feel Colby’s eyes on you the entire time you were stalling, but when you looked at him, his eyes pierced through you.
“I think… I think I’ll drink too” Sam and Colby boo at you when you pour the shot. You couldn’t do it. He didn’t either so that must mean he doesn’t… feel the same, Right?
“I can’t even see the camera anymore, dude” Sam laughs at Colby’s words. Sam has more shots then the two of you so you’d imagine he’d be the one saying it, but of course it was Colby.
Maybe that’s why he was looking at you like that..
Towards the end of the video, all three of you were pretty drunk. Sam was the least, you were in the middle, and Colby… Jesus. Colby was so drunk.
“Fuck, man” Colby lays his head on the end table for just a second, you could tell his head was spinning. You rub his back, his body temperature is very warm. You look over to Sam and nod toward the camera, and Sam immediately understands.
“Maybe we should take a small break?”
Tumblr media
“Where are you going?” You ask Sam, watching him put on his jacket and grab his keys. You finished the video about 30 minutes ago and Colby was on the couch watching tv, while you had just changed into night clothes which really were only comfy shorts and a crop top like usual.
“I have to go stay at Kat’s tonight. We’re heading to her parents tomorrow morning” You hum, pouring a glass of water for yourself and one for Colby. You had forgotten Sam was going away for a few days. “Try not to have too much fun while I’m gone” You stop and look at him with slightly furrowed brows, but he’s just raising his eyebrows with a shrug, leaving you with the confusion of his statement.
He doesn’t… he can’t know, right? You weren’t that obvious.
“Water?” Your voice is enough to catch Colby’s attention from the tv. He was watching some random scary movie it looked like but you’d never seen it so you weren’t completely sure. You hand him the water and take a seat next to him, leaving a gap between the two of you. You had thought the tension would be gone by now but it clearly wasn’t, you could only hope it was just your overthinking.
“What’s up with you? You were being weird the whole video” His question makes you somewhat relieved. Maybe he didn’t suspect anything, maybe it really was all just in your own head—but how were you meant to explain you couldn’t focus because of how badly you wanted him. Even now, he was leaned back on the couch, his hair messy from running his hands through it and his tattoos on full display for you to look at. Jesus, it felt like torture.
Why did you have to get drunk?
“I just didn’t feel good” You shrug, looking over at the tv and tilting the glass of water toward your lips. You can feel his eyes on you, waiting for you to give him a real answer but he doesn’t push you. He only takes a sip of his water, turning back to the movie.
“Are you going home tonight?” You glance at the clock, it’s already 11. Should you? You have a room here, you didn’t really need to.
But did he want you to?
“I was planning on staying but if you don’t want me to-“
“I want you to stay” Your stomach twists, with excitement and somewhat nervousness at the same time. He was being direct but he wasn’t even looking at you. You wanted to stay and watch the movie with him, but the more you looked at him, the more the drunken side of you just wanted to kiss him.
You wanted him.
“Come here” You hesitate for a few seconds before placing your drink back on the glass table in front of you, moving to sit closer to the boy. His arm was laid on the back of the couch and he opens the blanket he’d been using to you. He wanted you close.
Your practically curled next to him by the middle of the movie, head laid in the crook of his neck and your legs sitting on top of his own. Not much had been said all movie, but Colby was getting more and more touchy as it went on.
His fingers traced shapes on your bare legs under the blanket, the cold metal of his rings sometimes brushing against your skin. He made it seem so normal, like it was an every day thing the two of you did together.
But this only made you so much hornier.
His scent radiates from his neck, and it was almost as if you wanted to kiss his neck right then and there. It was so alluring—He was so alluring to you.
And he knew it.
“Do you want to tell me why you were really acting weird today?” He asks again, looking down at the tent his hand made under the blanket while he caressed your leg.
You bite your bottom lip, looking at the blanket as well. You could feel the tingling feeling between your legs as his hand touched you farther, as if he had been testing the waters before actually saying anything.
“Colby…” You can’t help but pull your legs even closer together, and that alone is all he needed to tell him how you felt. “Not everything needs an explanation. It’s just… complicated”
“Complicated, huh?” He hums sarcastically, in a knowing form. You bite your lip as you watch him rub his temple, frustration radiating off of him. “You know, For the longest time, I tried to let this whole thing go out of respect for you, Y/N” He mumbled, his voice low and husky with passion. God, he sounded so hot. Even if he was upset, you just couldn’t help yourself. “I always thought it would be you and Sam” He lets out a huffed chuckle, still keeping his eyes on his lap. “But I want it to be me”
What?
No. He isn’t… he doesn’t mean what you think, right? Colby Brock isn’t confessing his feelings for you, right?
“Colby, what’s wrong with you?” His body tenses when you ask that stupid question. What’s wrong with him? Like you didn’t know.
“What’s wrong with me? What about you?” He finally turns his head to look at you, his drunken, sad and very horny eyes staring lasers into yours. “You can’t seriously sit here and believe yourself when you ask me that question” You couldn’t think. You didn’t even move for awhile because of your lack of words or thoughts for that matter. You wanted to give in, but you were also so terrified of if it wasn’t real.
“Colby, I’m not the person you want. Trust me, you will figure that out soon enough” He scoffs as you get off the couch, trying to at least relieve some of the tension between the two of you. Colby was so tired of waiting, but you were just too scared.
“How do you know what I want? You’ve barely spoke to me the past few weeks!” The boy calls after you when your walking away from the couch, his voice only makes you stop. “You’ve been weird for weeks, Y/N. Don’t ask me what’s wrong with me when you can’t even tell me how you feel”
“Colby, I don’t know how I feel!” You turn around with frustration, staring at the back of his head. He was still sat on the couch, and part of you hoped he stayed there—but another part wanted him to go after you. “I haven’t just been distant because of you-“
“That’s such bullshit and you know it” He stands, turning to look at you. You were far too drunk for this. You could feel the unnecessary tears already filling your eyes, you didn’t want to argue with him. “Look me in my eyes and tell me that—then I’ll let it go”
“Can we please just talk about this tomorrow-“
“You know what I think? I think your just scared of feeling weak. Your scared of letting someone in, Y/N. And the past few weeks we’ve been getting closer than before, that’s why your distant now. That’s your biggest weakness” Colby scoffs, grabbing his jacket off the couch and slipping it on with ease. You furrow your eyebrows as he walks toward you, and past you.
You grab his arm, “Colby, your drunk. Don’t go out, Please” he’s avoiding your eyes but you can see the chisel on his jaw, clenching with what you thought had been anger. “I don’t know how to do this, Colby. I… I can’t even bring myself to say the words I want to say to you” He tears his arm away from you, snatching his keys from the countertop. No. You couldn’t let it end like that—not when you have so much to say. “Okay, fine!”
“You want the truth, Colby? For years all I felt for you for you, all in silence because I didn’t want to ruin our friendship with Sam and Each other. I watched you with other girls since we were juniors! I couldn’t stand you, but yet I also couldn’t stand to be without you. Everywhere I go, I always want you with me—and when i’d see you with other girls, it would make me feel stupid, like my feelings meant nothing to you even if you didn’t know”
“How was I supposed to tell you that? How was I supposed to tell you that even after everything that’s happened, I still can’t stop loving you!” Your confession slips like words of anger said in an heated argument. Colby still wasn’t looking at you, which only made your heart ache even worse. You just poured your heart out to him—couldn’t he at least look at you?
“When you got put in the hospital during senior year, I was there every fucking second with you! I cried, Colby! I was a mess for days, and Sam was the one who had to juggle the two of us!” You remembered that day like it was yesterday. The day you’d gotten into a huge argument with Sam about your feelings for Colby. Sam always knew of both your feelings, but he didn’t say anything to the other. If you were going to admit, it had to be to each other. “I’m usually so good at hiding how I feel, but I’m getting so tired of it. The Same repeating cycle I just-“
“Why didn’t you just tell me, Y/N. Why didn’t you-“
“Are you serious? After all those talks we had about you not caring for a relationship and not wanting a future with someone? You were practically telling me no! I wanted to tell you but then you started going to parties more and kissing girls and-“
“Y/N”
“It hurt me, Colby. That’s why I didn’t tell you. It would physically hurt my chest to see you kiss another girl after flirting with me for DAYS. You played with my head and I know I played with yours too but-“
“Y/N, I’m-“
“No matter how hard I try or how many guys I find, there’s nothing for me. I can’t… I can’t move past you and it fucking sucks” You hadn’t even realized he moved until you were done talking. He was close now—close enough to hear his breathing if you’d been quiet enough. Your heart shatters with every passing moment that’s goes silent. You knew you couldn’t be the same after this, so you begged in your mind for him to say something.
Only he didn’t say anything, and for a moment you actually thought he’d leave you there alone.
But you two were meant to love each other, Remember?
A silent moan escapes your mouth as he crashes his lips into your own, the sound muffled by his. The kiss is filled with so much passion it could make one’s heart explode if you weren’t too careful, it felt like the two of you had been waiting years to do this.
Which you were.

After the first kiss, the two of you didn’t waste any time. Colby pulled you up, your legs wrapping around him as you continued to make out with the dark haired boy. His large hands cupped your ass, and soon enough you felt your back hit the cold wall. One of your hands were laid on the side of his neck while the other held the back of his hair, tugging on it slightly.
It had only been a few seconds ago you were sitting watching a movie—how in the hell did you both get here so quick?
He carried you to the couch, sitting down so you could straddle his lap instead of holding yourself up against his waist.
His hands release your ass and move up your back, slipping under your shirt to unclip your bra.
Colby smirks against your lips and removes his hand from your shirt, lifting your chin to pull away from the kiss. “Dirty girl” You hum as his lips attach to your neck, his comment making you all the more wet then you already were. You didn’t put a bra on—and Colby seemed to have really liked that you didn’t. “You make such pretty sounds—wish I could’ve heard them sooner”
You can feel the hardness under you, and the more you grind on him, the more you can feel his grip on you tighten. It didn’t hurt—it just turned you on even more.
“Colby, Please” You plead breathlessly. You wanted him to do more then just kiss your neck. You wanted him to take you to his room, to do everything he’d do to someone else. “You don’t have to be gentle with me” you tug his hair gently, meeting his lust filled eyes. You were desperate for him and you didn’t care, you’d waited since junior year to have your way with him—to have him want you.
“I’ll leave marks all over you, Y/N” he says in a slightly warning tone as if he didn’t want to completely destroy you in that moment, but you shake your head, grabbing his hand that slipped to the waistband of your sleeper shorts.
“I just want to feel something” You say in a tone he’d never heard you in before, one that made him want you even worse then before. You slip your hand off his own and place it on his chiseled chest, feeling the crease of his abs all the way down until you reached his belt. You wanted him, you just wanted him to know that. “I want to feel you, Colby. I want you”
“You want me to treat you like everyone else?” You hesitate but nod after a few seconds, slipping off his lap to stand to your feet. He stands in front of you, his height making a clear difference above you. His expression hadn’t changed yet, he was so hard to read. “I won’t do that, Y/N” Before you could say anything, he was already picking you up and wrapping your legs around his waist again, crashing his lips back into yours as he made his way to his room.
This man… you didn’t know how to describe the feeling you had when he kissed you, but it was unlike anything you’d ever felt before. He was so different from everyone else you’d been with, and you didn’t know why.
You did. Deep down you knew why he made you feel the way he did. Colby was the only guy you truly wanted. Even when you had a boyfriend, you still wanted him instead.
He drops you onto his bed, removing his black wife beater and throwing it to the side, revealing his tattooed body you’ve grown to love looking at. He looked so good in this lighting, and the way his hair fell messy over his forehead—you couldn’t stop your thoughts from running wild.
“I want you, Y/N. I need to know I have all of you—that your only for me” You pick your head up to look at him briefly, fingers playing with the string of his pants. “I won’t treat you like some random slut when your not”
The feeling of his fingertips brushing against your skin made you shiver, it made you feel as if this might’ve not been real, maybe a dream after all. But after seeing his face and feeling his hand stop just above your waistline, everything felt at ease.
“I’ve always been yours, Colby Brock” That was all he needed to hear, all he needed to give into you.
And soon enough, here you were again, pinned against the bed while Colby’s hands grip your waist, peppering sweet kisses against your neck. You almost couldn't hold it in.
Your hand slowly found its way to the back of his neck, running your fingers through his hair as his wandering hands went right under your shorts. You knew what you were doing with the outfit, and it only made him laugh just thinking about it.
“Please, Colby. I don’t want you to hold back… I want you to give me all of you” you were smirking to yourself, biting your nail like this was somewhat funny to you. Colby didn’t see the appeal, if he was going to fuck you, he was going to ruin you for anyone else.
“You’re playing a dangerous game, Y/N” He tells you with a sharp tone, moving to place his hands against the beds cloth, closing you between him. You smirk, looking him up and down once before looking back to his face.
“I’m tired of waiting” The two of you laid there, staring at the other for what felt like forever until He finally gave in, cursing himself under his breath before he grabbed your neck to pull you into a rough kiss. Your body is flush against his as he completely explores your body with his hands. You could feel his growing erection, you could feel his hunger for your body like he felt yours.
“Colby” You mumble in a breathless moan. His lips remove from yours and move to your jaw, hungrily peppering wet kisses down it, all the way to your neck.
“You are so fucking hot, Jesus” He groans against your ear, placing soft kisses on your sensitive skin. Your moans are what encourage him the most. Hearing your sweet whimpers in his ear as he sucked on your neck felt like a dream. Believe god, he’d had that dream many, many times before.
“I’ve waited so long for this” Your breathless under him, gripping his hair between your small fingers. You could feel his cock pressing against you, begging for your tongue. It was big—he was so fucking big. It should’ve scared you but you were more intrigued, grinding your hips against his to gain some friction with the little time you had before he stopped your bratty movements.
“I know you have” He teases and you only roll your eyes, grabbing his hand that held you steady against him. You could feel his lips brushing your skin, he wanted to mark you, and you wanted him to. You wanted Colby Brock to let everyone know you were his.
“Nothings stopping me from walking out that door” You hum, holding his head and slightly pushing it down so his lips reattached to your neck. “I’ll find someone else—someone who hasn’t played with me for years” A grunt escapes his mouth as if he had been fighting with the feeling, shaking his head between your neck before meeting your eyes again; your bratty, untamed eyes.
“You’ve waited so long I thought? So long your body even reacts when I look at you” He’s so obviously joking and you love every second of it. Every word of degradation is like music to your ears, like a forbidden kink you didn’t know you had. “This is what you wanted, huh? All those looks you’d give me after I’d make out with randoms—you were so jealous, Sweetheart” Your ears are perking at his every word but your eyes were filled with annoyance. Colby knew now so why would you hide it? Hide your jealousy? “All those times, you could’ve just told me you wanted me and I would’ve given it all to you. Nobody else”
You wrap your arms around his neck, pulling you closer to his body then before with a smirk, shrugging your shoulders. “That doesn’t matter. I have you now” His eyes. Oh god, his eyes were so hungry. At first you didn’t know what to think but it only took you a few seconds to realize once his large arms were wrapped around your thighs, pulling your body close to him.
His chin sat against your stomach, staring up at you like he had been waiting for you to say something. But you didn’t know what he was planning until his thumb was ghosting around your clothed clit, that same smirk pulling at his lips as he watched you.
He slips your shorts off with ease, along with your black lace underwear, tossing them both to the side.
“Fuck” You breath heavily, leaning your head back against the sheets, not even realizing the boy under you was now fully under you. “S-shit!” Your hand fell clasp over your mouth to silence your moan, eyes falling back on him under you. Except now, his face was pressed into your dripping wet cunt, and his fingers teased what his mouth didn’t. “Fucking hell, Colby” You mumble under your unsteady breath, trying your hardest not to moan because he had just started and you didn’t want to seem weak.
But holy shit, this boy knew how to use his tongue.
Your hand fell atop his head in hopes to gain some sort of stability but that quickly failed, given how badly he was attacking your clit. His mouth was warm against you and you already knew you’d come soon. It was like he knew your body inside and out.
“I know your not holding back on me, are you?” His words vibrate against your cunt making you jolt, thankful his arms held you down so you wouldn’t squirm. Colby was in pure bliss under you, relishing in your sweet taste that so effortlessly painted his tongue. You were wet, your cunt was begging for more even if you were a crying mess above him, like it finally found what it had been longing for.
“I can take it” He chuckles at your attempt at retaliation but still manages to one up you, slipping two of his large, slender fingers inside you. “C-Colby, let me-“
“No” He only uttered one word but it was enough to make you listen like a trained dog, allowing your legs to tremble against his face. You could’ve taken it had you been prepared, but it had been far too long before any guy had done this to you.
“You taste so fucking good, Y/N” His fingers curl against your spongy walls, pushing his tongue against your clit quickly as your moan’s increased. It was so clear you were already on edge, about to let go without it being over five minutes. You find your pride slipping from you in a matter of seconds, begging the man to let you come as your fingers tug his hair. You couldn’t hold on, your legs were far too weak.
“Please, please—Colby, please” His ears are perking as you moan his name, begging for him, moaning for him. Normally, he’d take his time with you but now? He needed to release all that tension between the two of you from years ago, he knew he couldn’t last much longer. He needed to be inside of you, and for that exact reason is why he only sped up under you. “G-gonna come..!”
Your mind tried to come up with some sort of reason as to how you got yourself here, How you got your best friend between your legs, and definitely how you were about to fully submit yourself to this boy while your true feelings for each other were unknown. He was thinking the same thing; how did he get so lucky to have you above him?
“Let go for me, Pretty girl” In only seconds, you’re coming undone above him, legs almost falling weak as they shook from your release, sending shivers throughout your entire body. Colby’s still torturing your body, pumping his fingers into you at a faster pace. It was clear, he was trying to kill you.
“Colby!” You cry, gripping his hair with a begging tone. You couldn’t take it much longer. You had to push him away. Finally, after what felt like forever, he removed his tongue from you, letting his fingers slip from inside you. His strong arms are the only thing that held your legs still, and you could see your release painted on his chin once he looked up at you. “Holy shit” You curse under your breath, chest heaving as he stood to his feet. You look at the large man above you, noticing once again how he towers over you.
He bites his lip, admiring your perfect body that had been on almost full display for him. He leans down when you notice how hard he is, lifting your chin with the hand he hadn’t used on you.
You watch through your eyelashes as he sucks his finger clean from your release, biting his lip with a silent chuckle at how lovingly you looked at him. You grab his hand, pulling it closer to you until his other finger was pressed against your lips—to which you copied his action from before, staring into his dark eyes as you did.
“Good girl” He knew you liked that. It was so obvious—the way your legs clench together at his praise. He pulls his hand away and moves it to your neck, pressing a soft but sloppy kiss to your lips. You could taste yourself from him, and God… it was so fucking hot.
Your hand feels his body effortlessly until you reach his aching print, a small smile pulling at your lips against him.
“Let me” You mumble breathlessly, placing your hand over his cock. You could feel how desperate he had been for you, how badly he wanted you in that moment. His hand wraps around your throat firmly, pulling your lips to crash back into his own. He was so rough and impatient—you loved it.
“I need you. Right here, Right now” His voice is deep and makes your skin shiver, the way his hands touch you so delicately but with control. His room was slightly dark, only lit by the strip of LED’s above his bed frame.
“I want to be yours, Colby. Make me yours, please” Your words make his and your own stomach twist into knots, he almost felt bad. He waited so long to make the move, afraid he misread the signs, but he’d never admit that. You allow your hands to travel down his bare abs, feeling every chisel between the pads of your fingertips. When you reach his belt, you’re quick to help him tug his pants off, watching him with the most admiration.
“After we do this, everything will change” He looks at you once more, both of your hands laid on the waistband of his underwear. You lay your free hand on the side of his neck and use the other to touch him lower—right where he wanted you the entire time.
His breath shutters at your bare touch, something he’s wanted for so long was finally right in front of him. You were all he wanted and he prayed you ensue him just as much.
“I love you, Colby. There’s no change in that” You tell him truthfully, watching his eyes soften just before you pulled his face down to kiss his lips. Except this kiss had much more
meaning—the kiss after you’d admit your feelings for one another.
He leans you down, closing you between his large body and his bed, your hand is still pressed into his print, but he’s already slipping his underwear off by the time you can notice.
Fuck. He was going to ruin you.
Your hands cup his face when his tip presses against your entrance, slick coating it by the second. You wanted him for so long, you didn’t care if it hurt at first.
You just wanted him.
From the moment he pushed inside of you, the only feeling you could endure was love. He was slow, gentle to help you get used to his size. The boy peppers kisses to your neck as he pushed further, comforting your slightly pained moans that slip from your lips without warning.
“Mmm” You let out a soft moan once his tip is past your entrance, the hard part was now over. You look at him with your lips parted, brushing your thumb over his bottom lip. He pushes your hair out of your face before kissing you, and you weren’t prepared for when he pushed into you fully with one snap of his hips.
Your toes curled and your nails dug into his skin desperately, the feeling was almost indescribable. You just felt… full.
“Oh my god” You moan against his lips, throwing your head back as he strokes you slowly, massaging your thigh. You looked so perfect like this, so pretty in this light. Your body was almost bare for him, and your body was welcoming him with open arms—he couldn’t get enough of you. “Colbs…Colby” one of your hands release his shoulder to grip the sheet underneath you, teeth catching your bottom lip between them.
“Starting to feel good?” He hums while you nod, moving his head down to your neck, placing sloppy kisses against it. His hips find a steady pace at first and gradually work their way up, starting deep, then fast to your skin. “God, you feel so good” one of his hands travels up your body until it reaches the shirt covering your upper half, just wanting to rip in off of you.
“Take it off, baby” Your breathless words are too late when he’s already slipping it off your now fully bare body, completely discarding it to the floor next to him. Jesus, you were so perfect.
“You are so beautiful, Y/N” He presses a kiss to your lips before moving down your body, trailing his wet tongue down until he reached your nipple. He couldn’t take his eyes off you, the curves of your body… you were practically made for him. A shuddered moan escapes your lips when he swirls his tongue around your hardened nipple, kneading the other with his free hand.
“Mmm!” Between the stokes of his hips and the sensations he brought to your skin, you couldn’t hold much in. You were sure you were being too loud but the two of you didn’t care. It was just you and him, nobody else.
His strong arms capture your thighs, pulling one of your legs to rest against his shoulder. “Colby! I can’t… oh my gosh” Your little voice is projecting off the walls of the empty room but you don’t care, only worried about the boy above you. Your head was still slightly spinning from the drinks you endured earlier that night and it only mixed with your horny mess of a body, begging Colby for more. “It’s so good… fuck! You’re so fucking good!”
“Look at you. Such a fucking mess under me. You needed me just as much as I needed you” He grabs the back of your head, pulling you up slightly so you were at an angle you couldn’t look away from him. His big eyes were burning holes into your own, hips rutting into you like he had something to prove.
Which he did.
“Gonna come…! Colby, I’m gonna come!” Your a whining mess under him and he loves every second of it, pushing his hips into you faster then before. Your small body was like a toy in his hand and you were at his every command, doing everything he said.
“Come for me. Want you to scream my name so the whole neighborhood knows who’s fucking you this good—so ever man knows your mine” You knew it was a bad idea but who were you to decline that request? You were already screaming as it was. “My dirty girl, Your so fucking hot like this”
“I’m coming! I’m—oh my god I-“ Your voice is cut off by your loud moan, leg shuttering against his shoulder as you felt your release threatening to push over. His tip was kissing your cervix repeatedly, and you knew you couldn’t last much longer. “Colby…!” You cry out, pressing your hand to his chest as if that was going to do anything. Your orgasm finally tipped, and you felt it hit you like a truck.
“That’s it, Baby. Good girl” His thumb rubs circles against your clit as he ruts into your harder, watching your liquid spurt from between the two of you. “My god, Y/N. So fucking good for me”
“Colby… please—Jesus-“
“You can whine all you want, but your body is calling mine for more. You want more” You grip his large arms until your knuckles turn white, scratching along his tanned skin. You curse at him, not wanting to hear his teasing any longer. “Fuck me? I’m only giving you what you want” You look at him with an angry look for a second before completely switching, a smirk pulling at your lips. Jesus, you were nasty, huh?
He pulls out of you all at once making you whine, not able to protest before he’s already flipping you over onto your stomach and pushing your ass in the air. You giggle, stretching your arms in front of you as you arch your back against him, begging him to forgive you. “I was only joking, Pretty boy” You hum, looking back at his face.
He doesn’t say anything and grabs your hips roughly, pulling you back onto his length that so easily slipped inside of you. Your eyes roll back almost instantly as he bottoms you out, pushing his cock as deep as he could reach inside you. “This is what you wanted? Then fucking take it” He growls against your ear, slamming himself into your harder than he had been before. You couldn’t even think straight, you were already so fucked out you didn’t even remember what it felt like to not be fucked.
“fuck! Right there! Please, Colby—fuck me right there!” Your begging voice is music to his ears, your hands gripping the ground under you as he pushed himself against you. “You’re so deep… so fucking good to me, baby” He hums, leaning against your body so you were entirely pressing against him, his tongue running along your skin. Once again, you could feel his sloppy kisses against your shoulder and your neck.
“Nobody can fuck you like I can, Pretty girl. Your mine. You’re all fucking mine, you hear me?” You cry out a yes, the sound of your skin slapping against each others being the only thing that could be heard. “That’s it, just like that, my love” He praises against your ear, holding your hips to press into his.
“Colby, I’m gonna come… oh my god” You whine into the sheet, feeling the pressure building up fast inside you. He’s a grunting mess above you so you knew he was close as well, he was only holding out for you. “Come with me. Please, don’t hold out on me”
The snap of his hips slow down the closer he gets, and now your body is flush against his own, rocking back and forth to his pace with his face buried in your neck.
“I fucking love you, Y/N. My girl, come for me and only me, yeah?” You moan at his words, throwing your head back against his chest as his fingers circle your sensitive clit. you couldn’t hold it anymore, and neither could he. “I’m right behind you”
Drunk sex always felt way too good but usually it was faster and much sweatier, this felt far too different. Even if your hips moved fast against his, it still felt like everything had been in slow motion. The way his hands held your delicate body in his embrace as he thrust his hips up to meet your own, how his lips parted in anticipation to kiss yours, Colby was so hungry for you—his body, was hungry for you.
“Colby… Colby!” His name rolls off your tongue in a beautiful moan. You can feel his slight hesitance but the eyes you give him are enough to tell him exactly what you wanted. You wanted all of him, just as you said.
“Fuck…!” He curses under his breath, your moans filling his ears as you clenched down onto him. He continues to coach you to it, and with one last snap of his hips and circle to your clit, you felt your body release it’s everything onto his. He shushes your loud scream while silencing his own grunts, fingers digging into your hips to pull you close, painting your gummy walls with his white, hot release.
For awhile, All that was heard was your heavy breathing and the sounds of the tv in the other room, and you soon found yourself collapsed next to each other on the bed. Your chests were heaving horribly, and the sweat that drip from your foreheads were now everywhere. You look over at the boy next to you, only to find he had already been looking at you, both of you breathing heavy—lips parted.
It only took a second for one of you to start laughing, and Colby leaned over to kiss you again, this time staying there for the longest he could.
You hum as he pulls away just a tiny bit, still close to your face. Your eyes are shut, relishing in the feeling you had. How do you go on from this? Clearly you two loved each other, but you prayed it wouldn’t be weird…
“Come here” He lays his arm out, pulling your body closer to his so you could lay your head against his chest. The room was hot and smelled of pure sex but neither of you complained. You were just happy.
“Colby…” You mumble after awhile in silence, tracing the tattoo on his chest for the 2nd time. He hums in response, the tips of his fingers brushing through your soft hair. You almost feel bad, as if you’re about to ruin the amazing night you had—but you had to say it. “Where do we go from here..?”
Your voice is low and nervous, so focused on the negative that you couldn’t even see the obvious answer. Colby made it clear what he wanted. He couldn’t go back to normal with you—not after this night.
“I want you to be my girlfriend, Y/N. I’ve always wanted that” He pushes your hair away from your face, placing his finger under your chin to lift it. “Please tell me that’s what you want too”
Your eyes soften at his hesitant tone, grabbing the hand that sat under your chin to intertwine your fingers. Of course you wanted that. It was all you ever wanted.
You nod
“Sam is going to be so happy”

Colby sounded different on the phone, he didn’t tell you anything was wrong, but you could tell there was something bothering him.
You liked Colby.
A lot.
The one thing that’s been holding you back from telling him about said feelings, is mainly your onlyfans page. You were sure whether or not Colby would be okay with that, and to be honest, you pay your bills with that money.
You wanted Colby, yes. But you weren’t sure if he wanted someone that has shown their tits for money.
After an hour and a half of taking pictures in different colored lingerie for your page, you wrapped it up at the perfect time because you hear the front door open and close with a powerful shove.
You shove your tripod in your closet and the lingerie at the bottom of your bottom dresser drawer and turn around just as there’s a knock on your door.
“Come in.”
The door opens and Colby walks in, “Hey.”
You give him a smile, “What’s up, Colbs?” Your smile fades when he doesn’t look at you for a few seconds, “Colby?”
His words shocked you, “Do you do porn?”
You blink a few times, “um. I mean yes and no.”
“What do you mean yes and no?” He turns towards you, “Do you just go through guys? Like what? how does that work?”
You hold up your hand, “Whoa, back it the hell up. What is your deal?”
Colby sighs, “My deal, is that you do porn and you never told me?”
You laugh slightly, mainly trying to cover up your nervousness, “Colby it’s not straight porn. Okay? I do OnlyFans. I don’t do anything nude. Well..”
He looks at you, “What do you do?”
You grab your laptop and bring it towards you. You get in, clicking around until you pull up your page, “Here. Look. The only really bad thing is that I show my boobs. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.”
He walks over, sitting down beside you as he takes your laptop. You can tell there’s a positive change to his demeanor and you bite your lip, “So.. who told?”
Colby laughs, “well.. actually.” He looks over at you, “one of Sam’s buddies sent him a screen shot and asked if it was you.”
He looks back at the computer screen and scrolls down, “It was this picture actually.” He point to the screen and you purse your lips, “That was a money post.”
“What’s that mean?” Colby looks at you and you can’t help but giggle, “It means.. you have to pay to see the photo.. and who ever sent that to Sam.. paid to see it.”
“So, they’re subscribed to you?” Colby asks and you nod, “or someone else he knows is?” You shrug, “I’m not sure, Colby.”
He just stares at you, “Huh.” He jocks his jaw and nods, “Mm. Okay.”
“So what? Are you like mad at me? Not friends anymore?” You purse your lips, “Like does this make you look at me different?”
Colby shakes his head, “Not really. Well.. I mean, okay. Yeah I see you differently now, but like..” he scratches his brow, “Why didn’t you just tell me?”
“I didn’t want to tell you because I wasn’t sure how you’d feel about it and I didn’t want to risk ruining our friendship.”
Colby chuckles, “Ruined?” He shake his head, “No. not at all. As I said. Different.. a hundred percent.”
“Different?” You ask as you tilt your head and he nods, “Oh yeah. You’re so much hotter than I originally thought.”
You can feel your cheeks growing warm and Colby’s next question didn’t help any matters, “So how do you feel about potentially doing porn?”
Fuck, you think, “Um. I mean..” you laugh slightly and look down before looking at Colby, “Maybe if it was someone I was comfortable with?”
You nod, Colby heavy on your mind, “Yeah. I think I could do it.”
A smirk grows on his lips as he slowly leans in, giving a nod to the right with his head, “Go get those pretty little outfits, because we’re about to be making you bank, baby.”

Mini Colby ~ Brother!Colby Brock
Tumblr media
Being the younger sister of Colby Brock meant people compared you to him constantly as you had your own Youtube channel and were in the public eye.
Many people noticed how similar you were to Colby. You were three years younger than your famous brother, but you were a mini image of him. You had the same hair colour, same eye colour and even the same smile. The only differences were the gender, height and age.
Today, you were joining your brother and Sam in a video of truth or drink. You were sat waiting, as Colby got the "water" and Sam set up the camera.
"You ready?" Colby asked you.
"As always!" You exclaimed.
He smiled as Sam joined you, the two started with their usual intro and introduced the video topic, before introducing you.
"Today we are joined by my sister, Y/n!" Colby cheered as Sam clapped. You smiled and waved at the camera.
"Hey guys!" You said.
"Right, lets get into it. Who's going first?" Sam asked.
"I will!" You exclaimed quickly, already pulling your phone out.
"Oh brother." Colby mumbled, making you and Sam laugh.
"Oh sister, more like." Sam said.
"Okay Colby, lets start nice and easy. Who's your favourite sibling?" You asked.
"Oh right away!" Sam exclaimed.
"I don't have a favourite. I love you and Gage the same." He answered honestly.
"Aww so cute." Sam teased.
You giggled as the game went on, the guys taking a few shots, you only taking two, until it got to a heated question.
"So Y/n, you and Kyle are getting closer." Colby started with. Kyle was your male friend, who you did the occasional TikTok with.
"Yes, we're friends." You stated.
"Or more?" He continued.
You laughed and poured a shot, taking it quickly, before looking at the camera.
"You can take that as you want." You said, as Sam and Colby cheered.
"You go girl!" Sam cheered.
"You know, a lot of yours and Colby's answers have been the same." Sam added.
"She's a mini me that's why!" Colby exclaimed.
"Your not wrong." You said with a nod.
"It's sometimes scary." Sam responded.
"How so?" You and Colby asked at the same time.
"Like that! You guys see that!" He answered, screaming at the camera.
You both laughed and continued on with the video, knowing it was going to be a fun one.

I Knew You Were Trouble
Tumblr media
Summary:- Your friends with benefits situation with Colby takes a turn for the worse when you catch feelings for him. Just when you thought relationships were off his menu, he surprises you by wanting to make it official. The problem? His track record with girlfriends is shorter than a Snapchat story.
Pairing:- Colby Brock x Reader
Warnings:- Friends to lovers, reader and Colby are in love with each other; it's evident to everyone except the two of them.
Tumblr media
The early morning sun illuminates your bedroom in light yellows and oranges. You let out a sleepy groan as you stretch your sore muscles. The sensation of a muscular body pressing against your bare back prompts you to recall the events of the previous night.
After a night out with friends, you returned home later than usual. Upon opening the front door, you were greeted by Colby, your friend and roommate, lounging on the sofa with crossed legs and an expression that was a mix of annoyance and the classic 'we need to talk' look. And then the argument had started which ended in him dicking you down into the mattress.
You let out a sigh and turned to lie on your left. You were greeted by Colby's sleeping figure, his face just inches from yours. Your eyes traced his features, gentle and soft in sleep. His dark brown hair, almost black, with a few purple highlights that only showed in the light, stuck out, with some strands falling across his eyes. Your gaze drops to his bare chest, noticing the 'lock your heart' tattoo on the left side. His right hand is adorned with intricate designs that you absolutely love.
But that was the thing, wasn't it? You were in love with Colby Brock. The feelings you had for him weren't sudden or fleeting. It wasn't a case of love at first sight. Rather, your affection for him had grown slowly, blossoming over time.
The first encounter with Colby dates back to your high school years. You were friends with Sam, who in turn was friends with Colby. Once you met, the three of you became inseparable, akin to the Three Musketeers, minus the swords and hats.
Eventually, the guys got the idea to launch their own YouTube channel. They kicked things off with a series of hilarious vines, and as their confidence grew, they ventured into the spine-chilling world of ghost hunting. You even made cameo appearances in a handful of their spooky adventures.
Although you always found Colby attractive, you never pursued those feelings, worried it might jeopardize the friendship. However, one night of slightly drunken truth or dare resulted in the two of you agreeing to a friends with benefits arrangement.
By that time, you were already too involved. Colby wasn't one for relationships, especially those that lasted more than a month or so. He was not a fuckboy by any means. He was a short-term relationship kind of guy, and the women he dated were well aware of the arrangement. However, you weren't interested in being just another conquest, so you decided to tuck your feelings away, hoping they'd fade in time.
He was the embodiment of trouble. From the moment Sam made the introductions, and your gaze landed on him, it was clear as day – he was trouble, with a capital T.
Brushing aside the cascade of thoughts, you reach out with a delicate finger to sweep Colby's dark brown locks away from his closed eyes. Your gentle touch rouses him from sleep, a lengthy yawn escaping his lips as his blue eyes flutter open, drowsy and blurred.
His lips form a slow, sensual smile as he rasps out the words, "Mornin', darling."
Oh, how you love his voice. Especially in the mornings, after you had gone at it like rabbits. But right now, his voice is deep and thick from the effects of sleep. Colby shuffles around to find a comfortable position before placing a hand on your bare waist. His warm touch on your slightly cold body causes goosebumps to erupt all over you, prompting you to snuggle back under the covers and closer to him.
You both lie there, quietly looking into each other's eyes as the sun ascends fully into the sky. Eventually, the sound of your alarm breaks the tranquility, prompting you both to start the day. You sit up in bed, rubbing your eyes as you observe Colby getting dressed.
"What are your plans for the day?" He asks, pulling on his xplr hoodie.
"I have the day off," you say, mustering the energy to rise from bed, pull on your own hoodie, and head toward the bathroom.
Something in the tone of your voice prompts Colby to wrap his hands around your waist and pull you closer to his body.
"We're good right?" He confirms, gently nuzzling your neck before placing a kiss there.
"Yep! All good," you force out with a smile, untangling yourself from him and walking into the bathroom, closing the door behind you.
Despite your smile, there's something not quite right about it. Now that he thinks about it, you've been off for the past few weeks. Colby rakes his fingers through his hair, further tousling the already disheveled locks. He sits down on the edge of the bed and pulls out his phone to text Sam.
As you peer into the mirror, a whirlwind of thoughts swirls in your head. The bathroom door stands as a lone sentinel, keeping Colby at bay, who is probably itching to burst in and grill you for answers. You're pretty certain he's onto you; you haven't been exactly Oscar-worthy in your performance of 'normalcy'. And Colby, being the human lie detector he is after years of friendship, is bound to pick up on your act.
With a sigh, you twist the faucet, letting the cool water cascade over your hands and onto your face. Teeth brushed and hair tamed into a neat bun, you swing the bathroom door open. As expected, there's Colby, lounging on your bed like he owns the place, utterly absorbed in his phone.
The creak of the door captures his attention. He quickly glances up at you, slips his phone into his pocket, and rises to his feet.
"What's wrong, darling? And don't even think about lying," he says firmly.
"It's nothing, Colby," you mutter, while an internal opera of sighs plays on. You're itching to spill your feelings, but the fear of wrecking whatever it is you two have—friendship, relationship, or that awkward in-between—clamps your mouth shut. You can't imagine a life where he and Sam are not a part of.
Colby understood that you were not going to share anything with him if you didn't want to; you had a stubborn streak. So he inched closer to you, extending his hand to gently hold your chin.
"If anything is on your mind, just let me know, okay?" He murmurs softly before leaning in to give you a kiss.
You absentmindedly nod, already hooked on the sensation of his lips on yours. Colby leans back after giving you a final peck, smiling gently as he takes a step back.
"I'm meeting Sam later to discuss the new video. Want to come?" he asks, hope shining in his eyes.
Shaking your head, you manage to force out another smile. "I think I'll take advantage of the rare day off and stay in for a bit. But hey, good luck with your video!"
Colby gives a nod, though his expression still suggests that he dosen't believe that you're actually fine. "Catch you later."
You observe him heading to his room. Shutting your bedroom door, you decide on what to do with your day off. Ultimately, you opt to tackle the looming pile of pending tasks.
-----
With each passing day, there's been this tension growing between you and Colby. You found yourself slowly retreating, responding to his texts at a snail's pace, and occasionally, his calls would just dance to the tune of your ringtone, unanswered. And when he'd question this growing distance, you'd toss him a salad of excuses, seasoned with the ever-reliable 'I'm swamped with work' or the classic 'It's not you, it's my schedule.'
Swinging open the door to the home you shared with the guys, you can't help but release a sigh that screams 'weekend vibes'. The plan? Full-on couch potato mode and binge-watching galore. But as you make a beeline for the stairway to heaven (your room), there's Sam and Colby, glued to the couch with their eyes locked on a laptop screen, editing their new video.
The sound of your heels clicking announces your arrival. They both glance up, a smile flickering across Sam's face.
"Hey! Welcome back! It's a weekend, are you excited?"
You laugh. "I sure am! I'm so ready to binge watch netflix and laze around."
Sam lets out a chuckle. You lock eyes with Colby, but his thoughts are a mystery. It's a strange kind of agony just to meet his gaze, and you can't help but feel a bit ridiculous for it. So, you opt for a simple nod and muster up a smile, which, to your surprise, he mirrors back to you.
Colby's gaze lingered on your ascending form. You appeared elegant with your hair swept into a ponytail, revealing your delicate neck, and wearing a charming blue dress featuring a sweetheart neckline and lantern sleeves, its hem grazing your mid-thighs. Your white heels highlighted the length of your legs.
Sam watches his best friend, struggling to conceal his grin.
"Just tell her," he suggests.
Colby jerks back, his eyes widening as he gazes at his best friend.
"What?"
Sam chuckles, observing that his friend seems to have lost the ability to speak today.
"I said, you should tell her. She genuinely thinks you only see her as a friend."
"How did you even-" He starts before breaking off with a sigh. "Never mind. It's obvious isn't it?" Colby glances at the blond, to which the latter nods.
Colby slumps into the couch, exhaling deeply. "How do I even start? 'Guess what? I've caught feelings and I'm ready to upgrade us from a casual fling to a full-blown romance'?"
"Exactly, dude!" Sam chuckles, giving Colby a hearty slap on the back.
Colby exhales sharply. Trust Sam to be the voice of reason. Yet, for Colby, it's not as simple as Sam suggests. Should things go south, it's not just a plan that falls apart—it's a whole saga of friendship at stake.
In the meantime, you've swapped your clothes for cozy pajamas and snuggled under the blankets, with a rom-com flickering in the background. Yet, your mind can't help but wander to a certain brunette. Almost as though your musings had magical powers, a knock echoes on your bedroom door, and like a scene from a movie, it swings open to unveil none other than Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome.
"Hey," Colby starts. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"
You pause for just a second before giving a nod. Bad idea, you think. Because just being in his vicinity seems to be a recipe for heartache. Colby takes a seat on the edge of the bed.
"So.." he trails off. Fuck, what was he supposed to say? Despite Sam's advice to be direct, Colby struggles to utter a word. It dosen't help when you mirror his stance, shrinking the distance between you. His mind fizzles out with your proximity, every thought evaporating, leaving him with nothing but the gentle fragrance of your body wash teasing his senses.
Taking a deep breath, he prepares to speak but you beat him to it.
"I want to end this arrangement we have," you declare abruptly.
"What—Why?" he manages to utter, though he can't fully grasp your words. It's as though his brain has ceased to function.
"I just…" you try to explain, "I want to start dating. I don't want to hold you back, you know."
He's itching to tell you not to see anyone else, but that would be like the pot calling the kettle black. The mere idea of you with another person sends Colby into a whirlwind of emotions. Suddenly, it hits him – he's jealous. He rakes his fingers through his hair.
"Could we… perhaps consider dating?" he murmurs, his gaze intense.
You're momentarily stunned. "You mean, real dating? As in, going out, hand-holding for the world to see, that kind of dating?"
You're taken aback by his words, mainly because the Colby you're acquainted with is to dating what a fish is to a bicycle—utterly indifferent and slightly confused by the concept.
Colby laughs at your words. "I'm not sure what other version of dating you're picturing, but yes. The kind where we go out, hold hands, and let the whole world know we're together."
His face takes on a grave look. "I've liked you for a while now. So I really want to give this a try."
You pause to consider. Your feelings for him have been simmering for just as long. Despite being aware that his romances tend to have a shorter shelf life than a Snapchat story, you're willing to roll the dice. If things go south, at least you'll have the consolation prize of knowing you took the leap; even if the landing might sting a bit.
His blue gaze seemed to drill into you as you mulled over his words. At last, you faced him..
"Ok, let's try it."
Colby could feel his heart soar as you agree. Acting on impulse, he wrapped his arms around your waist, drawing you in closer as he pressed his lips against yours. Despite having shared numerous kisses before, this one felt particularly intimate and surreal. Colby gently parted your lips, allowing his tongue to intertwine with yours.
After what seemed like an eternity, Colby takes a moment to catch his breath. He couldn't help but relish the taste of you.
"Fuck," he rasps. Just like the two ends of a magnet, your lips meet again with an undeniable fervor. Colby gently supports the back of your head with his palm, adjusting it slightly to get a better angle.
The knock on your bedroom door jolts you both into parting.
"Pizza's here," comes Sam's voice, slightly muffled by the door. "Better grab some before it gets cold."
"Be right there," Colby calls back. The sound of Sam's footsteps recedes with each step he takes downstairs. Turning to you, the brunette offers a soft smile. Your wide doe eyes and the flush of your lips, still tender from his kisses, paint a picture of innocent beauty.
"Shall we go downstairs?" he suggests, and you nod in agreement.
"Are you truly serious about giving us a chance?" he inquires.
"Mm-hmm, I want to give this a shot, Colby," you respond, a slight smile forming on your lips.
Colby rises, sweeping you into a whirl, his smile spreading wide.
"Well, get ready then because I'm about to woo the shit out of you."
His words causes a laugh to tumble out of you. "Ok, Mr. Perfcet. We'll see."
You pull his face down, pressing a chaste kiss to his lips.
"The pizza!" Sam yells from downstairs, prompting chuckles from both of you.

“I hate you”, “yeah well I hate you more”.
Colby Brock| Imagine| Enemies to lovers.
Summary: You and Colby have hated each other, deeply ever since a slight misunderstanding from the past. You and Tara go to a party and you and Colby end up hooking up and talk out the misunderstanding.
PART 2:
Everyone 21+
Warnings: NSFW, Arguing, Cursing, Drinking Alcohol, Sex.
I sat at my vanity in me and Tara’s shared apartment, applying my lipliner and finishing off my makeup with setting spray. “Y/n/n are you ready?” Tara yell’s from her bedroom. “I am now!” I yell back. I walk out into the living room, then going into Tara’s room. “Hey Tar can you zip up my dress?”. I turn around and she zips it up and we’re ready to go.
I grab my keys and me and Tara walk to my car, we get settled in and I give her aux. Within 20 minutes we arrive to the party and find our group. “Hey babe” Tara smiles, giving Jake a peck on the cheek. “Hi” He smiles back kissing her forehead, he then looks in my direction “Hey Y/n/n” He drags out pulling me into a hug “How are you tonight?”. “Good and you?” I ask back returning the politeness “Great I’m super surprised you and Tara are on time” He jokes, earning an eye roll from Tara.
We all chat for a bit. “I’m gonna get a drink” I yell over the music, they nod and I leave. I walk into the kitchen and get a cup and fill it with fruit punch and vodka. I take a sip of my drink, I spot a tall cute blond haired boy with big green eyes walking toward me. I smile at him softly and he makes his way over to me. “You look gorgeous tonight” He smirks, looking down at me. “Thank you, do you wanna dance?” I ask with a smile plastered to my face. “Who would decline dancing with you” He laughs, as I leading him to the dance floor.
“Oh my god, this is my song!” I yell practically dragging him. We get there and I start dancing him and he's feeling on my waist and kissing my neck. I smile and we’re dancing in unison, our bodies fusing together and really feeling the music.“If I knew she’d be here I would’ve stayed home” Colby complains to sam. Colby sat on the couch watching another man dance with Y/n touching and feeling on her body. He suddenly felt a wave of rage wash over him unsure why it made him so angry. “Dude why’re you such a dick to her?” Sam scoffs. “Me? No its her with an attitude” he snaps back.
The guy Y/n is with suddenly slightly pulls her dress up, further feeling on her. Not knowing what came over him, Colby gets up and immediately walks over to Y/n and pulls her away from the guy. ,“Colby what the fuck!” I yell. “What the fuck is your problem? If this is another one of your attempts to fuck up my love life I swear to god I'll kill you Colb-” I’m suddenly cut off by him sharply turning around, looking down to face me.
“Why the hell are you dancing with him? Actually no, why’re you dancing ON him” He asks making intense eye contact with me, I feel his breathe on my face. My brows furrow together “Why the fuck does that matter to you?” I yelled out of pure frustration, who the hell does he think he is? “It matters because I fucking care about you, and I can’t stand him” He hollers back. I roll my eyes “Fuck you”. “I can’t fucking stand you, you know that?”
“You know that I don't care right?” He pushes me against the wall, our lips just inches away from each others. “I hate you” He breathes out lightly “Yeah? Well I hate you more”  I say back looking into his beautiful blue eyes. He places his hand on my cheek gently, I drag my hand to the back of his neck, he pulls me into a pure kiss which soon becomes filled with the desire for each other. My fingers get tangled into his messy brown hair, meanwhile he’s feeling on my body gripping and squeezing as he pleases.  He breaks the kiss to pull me in the closet bedroom he could find.
This time I pull him into a kiss. In a swift moment he unzips my dress and it falls to the floor. I take off his shirt, and unbutton his pants and he does the rest. His mouth detached from mine for a split second “What happened to you hating me Y/n/n?” He smirks, I rolled my eyes. “Shut the fuck up” he laughs kissing me again. He unclasps my bra and takes off my panties. He goes from my mouth to my neck, leaving hickies down my body as he kisses all the way down my stomach to my inner thighs. Taking a second to look up and admire me.
He comes back to my lips. His hands wonder down to my vagina as he rubs my clit with his thumb earning soft moans from me, as he slides in his middle and ring finger slowly. “Is this okay?” I nod. He pumps them in and out of me at a steady pace making me moan out, the pleasure taking over. I quiver at his touch, he's unaware of the effect he has on me. He removes his fingers, sucking them before then lining himself up with my entrance. He pushes himself in me softly. I moan in his ear lightly, the sound of skin on skin and moaning from the both of us throughout the room.
He speeds up his pace. His strokes hitting my g-spot, I start getting louder, letting out pornographic moans. “Am I hurting you?” He asks looking down at me. “No, Colby don't stop” I manage to get out. A knot begins forming in my stomach. “You feel so good baby” He moans. “Fuck” I whimper out. He places his hand on my waist. “Colby I’m gonna cum” I breathe out. “Then do it” without hesitation, I cum all over his dick. He pulls out and finishes on my stomach.
We lay there for about 10 minutes in pure silence intaking what just happened. He breaks the silence. “Hey Y/n?” He asks looking over at me, “Yes Colby?” I look back making eye contact. “What did I do for you to hate me so much? From what I remember we were super close”. “You seriously don't know? It started after your girlfriend at the time threatened me and you took her side” I scoff, turning away from him. “Y/n what are you talking about? She told me you were talking bad about me and I went to ask you about it and you ignored me” He says pulling me into his arms.
“What? Colby I’d never speak badly about you, is that really what you think of me?” I ask a bit irritated, “No thats why I went to ask, I guess the way I reacted was because I was hurt” He truthfully admitted to me. “Mhm and why's that?” I ask staring into his eyes. “Because truth be told, I was in love with you junior and senior year. I started dating her because I was too scared to tell you” He smiles. “I felt the same way too.” I smile back with the same amount of joy.
“Y/n let me take you on a date next Friday” He kisses my forehead. “Be ready by 7 and I’ll come pick you up” He speaks sternly. He gets up and grabs a rag to clean me off. I put my clothes back on and we go back out to the party. “Y/n I’m gonna find Sam and I’ll come right back to you okay?” He yells over the music. “Alright bye! I’ll go find Jake and Tara” we both part way.
“Oh my god Y/n” Tara runs over to me and pulls me into a hug “There you are I thought something happened to you. “No, no I’m okay, I’m sorry” I speak out then hugging her back. “I texted you like a million times” I pull out my phone to check and know and behold 270+ texts from Tara. “I’m so sorryyyy” I apologize. “Starbucks on me tomorrow” I say holding out my pinkie finger, earning a smile from my gorgeous best friend. “Wait wait why's your hair so messy? Not oh I've been partying messy but like freshly fucked, Y/n, WHO?” she smirks. “Well I sure can take a guess” Jake says pointing to Colby with his hair just as messed up as mine. Tara’s jaw dropped “No fucking way, Y/n, you didn’t” I stood there with a dorky grin.
Colby spots the three of us and walks over to us with Sam and Kat. “You two have explaining to do” Tara says pointing at Colby and I.

Piss off your parents pt.3 (finale)
Tumblr media
PART 1
PART 2
Colby Brock x Reader (Female)
Warnings: Drinking, Swearing
Genre: Angst with a Happy Ending, Fluff, Friends to Lovers, RPF (Real Person Fic)
Summary: Time wasted can only be compensated with time well spent.
"You wasted us so much time."
Y/N's reply is so far from anything he could've expected, he nearly sprains his neck when his head snaps up. To find a small smile on her face, of all things.
"What?"
There's a note of deep-rooted anger in the laugh that deflates her lungs, "How long?"
"Huh?"
"How long have you felt that way?" She doubles down, her gaze now stiffened into a glare piercing right through him.
"Since we fucking met, ok?!" He'd be less nervous answering questions in front of the FBI. He doesn't know how the script flipped to her being the angry one but it's clear she's gonna let him have it. And he's gonna have to take it, he owes it to her.
"I can't fucking believe you." She shakes her head, shifting to back further away from him and lean her back against the cold mirror behind her. She'd rather hop off the counter and run off - that's what sober her would do, anyway. But, for one, her drunk alter ego is a lot more confrontational, and for two - she physically can't do that. Somewhere along the past ten minutes, Colby somehow ended up standing between her parted legs, blocking her the ability to run away without even meaning to. "You've kept me at arm's length for a whole fucking decade! Treating me like a child, a porcelain doll you feel obligated to look out for! You broke my heart so ignorantly by sleeping around with half the damn town and bragged to me about it! You pushed me into brainwashing myself in love with someone else, led me to believe he felt the same way and now you have the gull to say you were in love with me all along! Bullshit!"
Hellfire, she's showering him with utter hellfire. Each thing she listed got worse than the previous just when he expected it couldn't. It unlocked so many memories he made a vow to never again visit. That was such a low point in his life he didn't notice he had dragged one of his best friends into it as well. Well she's spelling it out for him right here, right now. Loud and fucking clear.
"And to think I was in love with you throughout all of that...fuck, I'm stupid..." She adds in a whisper, highly contrasting the rain of bullets she unleashed seconds prior. It was meant more for herself than him yet it was the final blow for him. His heart is officially down for the count.
"Was? Past tense?" Colby's eyes widen immediately. He didn't hear the words in his brain, they were as news to his ears as they were to hers. He doesn't know where the audacity came from. It's as if he's asking to get smacked. At this point, he'd prefer that to whatever venom she might spew at him. All well within her right.
To his luck, Y/N's gotten tired. Physically and emotionally. And she can't keep the grudge flame alive. Not with Colby at least. She can't help the soft spot on her heart for him. A spot so bruised and sore she can't believe it hasn't turned stiff as stone. It can't, not when her heart starts racing within his proximity every damn time. Not when a smile spreads across her face every time she looks at him. It hurts, yeah, but she doubts it'll ever go away.
"Like it fucking matters." She whispers, again with the same bitterness from earlier.
"Yes it fucking does, Y/N." It's like his brain has been shut off, all rationality has gone out the window. "You said I wasted us so much time. Don't waste more just because you're angry."
She's quick to bite back, "How can I not be? You deserve it, Colby!"
"I know that!" He might not be rational, bordering on desperate, but he's still self aware enough to see and admit to the error of his ways. But he'll be damned if he lets go of this last string of hope. He's clinging onto it like a twig in a flood. "I know I deserve it. But we don't. What we could be, that doesn't deserve more time down the drain, Y/N."
Sudden banging on the door startles them both, reminding them they're in a very peculiar location. A public bathroom. The ladies' bathroom on top of all.
"One second!" Contrasting the deer-in-headlights panic on Colby's face, Y/N takes it upon herself to handle the situation. The sound has scared him into backing away from her, giving her the required space to hop down. She turns to him, poking a finger to his chest, "Act normal. Nothing happened."
With that said, she leads the way out, unlocking the door and slipping out, giving the two girls waiting outside an apologetic smile. They return two knowing smirks when they see Colby emerge from the bathroom right behind her.
"Sorry, girl. Didn't mean to interrupt." The brunette slurs, winking at them both before following after her friend.
"You're good." Y/N replies politely, muttering after the door closed, "You helped."
The pang in Colby's chest cannot be put into words. Before he's had time to recalibrate, she's already gone, having made her way back into the party, disappearing into the crowd.
And just like that, he feels that last string of hope break.
* * * * *
"Hey, I'm so sorry about what I said earlier." Nate shakes the strands of hair away from his eyes so can properly look down at his semi-sober companion who's currently carrying him towards the elevator.
Y/N can't help but smile at him. It hurts like hell but at this point it's like the twentieth blow to the heart tonight. She's become used to it.
"It's ok, Nate. Thanks for being honest and not leading me on." She's aware she's thanking him for the bare minimum but that little conversation with Colby earlier proved to her she should be grateful for that even. Hey, he could've lied. He could've stringed her along, had his fun and then pulled the 'nothing serious' card.
But that's not Nate. He could never.
You thought Colby would never lie to you either. Now here we are
"No, that's not what I mean. I got scared, you know? Friend groups don't survive romance. But I don't care now that I think about it. We should give it a shot. It could be great. Fuck what they think." His words are slurred and his eyes are glazed over, but each syllable is drowning in sincerity. Drunk words are sober thoughts and all that but she'd rather take it as complete nonsense right now.
"Nate, sweetie..." She readjusts the hold she has on her heels so she can grab hold of his hand, "I doubt you know what you're thinking right now. Let's talk in the morning, ok? Get some sleep, sober up, and then we'll figure it out. Sounds good?" She says gently, as if explaining to a three-year-old that Santa isn't real.
He gives her one of those smiles that were the initial reason she (thought she) fell for him, "Yeah." They stop at the door to his shared hotel room with Sam and Colby. Before she can reach for the doorknob, Nate turns to her, his hand coming up to cup her cheek. She momentarily lets herself play along and leans into his touch, knowing how wrong it actually is. "You're the best, Y/N." Their faces, almost instinctively, inch closer and she doesn't do anything to stop it. Fuck all rationality. This night can't get much worse, how bad could a kiss shared between friends be?
She never gets to find out though because the door to the room is thrown open, forcing them apart in an instant. The person standing on the doorstep makes it ten time worse - because of-fucking-course it's Colby.
Y/N immediately starts regretting what almost just happened, semi-glad it didn't. She shouldn't have let it get that far. She's doing to Nate what she was thankful he didn't do to her - stringing him along. She can barely recognize herself - almost kissing one of her best friends while being completely in love with another.
"Oh, um....sorry. I wanted to come help carry Nate up but.....guess you got that covered." He speaks up, trying to cut the awkwardness him and Y/N are currently drowning in. Nate is none the wiser, waving off his friend's apology with a quick 'don't worry about it'. He gives one last squeeze to her hand before going inside, leaving the two staring at each other.
"Is Sam ok?" Y/N asks, cocking her head to the side to take a peek inside the room where she can see Sam's shoes at the foot of the bed. "That fall was pretty bad."
"Yeah, he's fine." Colby sighs heavily, looking over his shoulder at the blonde in question, "Should've stopped climbing on tables like he has nine lives long ago. This might be the lesson he needed."
"Hey!" She frowns at him, "Have some compassion!"
He chuckles, opening his mouth to respond when a sudden yell cuts him off.
"Y/N? That you? Come in!" It's Sam, his voice conveying the pain he's currently in.
She knows she should be heading back down to the front desk to grab her key and go to her own room. But she can't just leave her friend on 'read' in real life and at such a dire time.
So, despite her better judgement, she goes inside to find Nate already out like a light and Sam laying flat on his bed with an arm over his eyes.
"Hi Sammy. Partied a little too hard there, dude." Y/N smiles softly at him, sitting on the edge of his bed.
Sam removes his arm from his face, looking up at her with puppy dog eyes, "Am I gonna die?"
Simultaneously both her and Colby snort out a laugh, sharing a look of mutual understanding and amusement before she returns her attention to the wounded soldier, "You won't. I promise. Just go to sleep." She replies reassuringly, readjusting the ice pack Colby had placed on his knee, causing him to hiss but still nod.
"Stay here for the night?" He asks, almost pleadingly. This interaction is a good insight on the siblingship they have. Colby and Nate have always been variables to her, but luckily she has Sam to be her constant.
"Where am I gonna sleep, Sam?" She asks lightheartedly, looking around the room at the two already occupied beds and the couch by the window.
"There." Sam points at said couch where Y/N can see some trademark Colby clothes splayed around. That's his little nook, clearly.
"And where's Colby gonna sleep?" She laughs, shooting Colby a soft look to find him already staring at her with the same gentleness she's always felt emanating from his eyes.
"The floor." Sam says with no hesitation, causing you both to laugh.
Colby is quick to flip him off, "Fuck you, man."
All he gets in response is a soft snore, alerting them that Sam too has drifted off. Probably for the best cause that scrape on his knee doesn't look pleasant.
And suddenly, they feel like they're alone. Sure, there are two other people present but a canon firing wouldn't be efficient in waking them up. So, they're practically alone.
Neither of them is happy about it.
"Really though, you should stay. What are you gonna do alone in your room?" Colby breaks the brief silence as he awkwardly struts across the room to subtly clean up the mess he's made on the couch.
Y/N shrugs, "Watch TV, drink some more, snack on something, pass out. The usual." She shrugs, carefully getting up so she doesn't nudge Sam out of his slumber.
"You can do all that here....with some company." He offers, cautious about every word that comes out of his mouth. "We don't have to talk about anything. Just raid the minibar and snack tray."
They should talk, they both know it. They're aware that they're at an age where they are considered adults. And adults talk about difficult shit even when they don't want to. They do what should be done.
Not Y/N and Colby, though.
They've cracked open a bottle of rosé and a bag of Cheetos and are currently sitting in silence. A comfortable one, for a change. They've quietly agreed to have this moment be outside the realm of everything else that occurred tonight. Like an island in a stormy sea. There will come a time when they'll have to talk about it, but most definitely not tonight.
Unless...
"Remember the first time we got drunk together?" She asks, watching the pink liquid splashing around in her glass.
Colby snorts at the memory, or whatever he can recall of it. "Barely."
"Yeah, same." She laughs, downing the rest of her wine, "I remember you disappearing for a good portion of the night. Sam and I found you bruised and bloodied hours later."
He joins her in the reminiscing, "That rose bush really did a number on me."
She takes a moment to look him in the eyes. She stays quiet, analyzing him in a way that heats up his skin as though her gaze were a physical force, "You didn't actually fall in a rose bush, did you?"
Ah, there's another lie. A small one in comparison to the first but still a lie. And since it's a night of confessions..."Remember Austin?"
He just unlocked a forgotten part of her brain, "Oh shit yeah! Whatever happened to that guy?"
A dry chuckle rattles his chest, his hand coming up to rub his face, "Well, in short, he liked you a little too much for my liking. So he found out what happens when I'm jealous and drunk."
Y/N can't help but smile. She's a simple girl, of course she finds it hot. But she'll be damned if she lets him notice. She quickly masks it with a joke, "Oh my God, you killed him!"
He laughs, shaking his head before leaning towards her a bit as if he's about to spill some government secrets, "Full disclosure, between you and me..." His eyebrows lift, waiting for her to nod a vow of silence before continuing, "I got my ass kicked."
She busts out laughing, undermining all concern for her two sleeping friends, "I'm not surprised." She teases him, reaching for the bottle for a refill.
Colby doesn't let that happen though. He quickly snatches the bottle, keeping it out of her reach, "Excuse you?!"
"You can't be salty after admitting it yourself." For caution purposes, she sets down the glass before getting up on her knees, extending her arm in a futile attempt at retrieving the stolen item. To her dismay, he just stretches his arm further, making it that much harder. "Oh, fuck you..." she mutters, hovering herself over his lap precariously, putting them in a pretty compromising position.
Colby kicks it into high gear, freeing his hand by setting the bottle down so he can sit her in his lap with a slight tug, earning him a small gasp from her. She settles into him just perfectly, like this is far from the first time they've found each other in such predicament.
Their faces are inches apart. His hands are on her sides, hers are on his shoulders. The proximity is more intoxicating than the alcohol they've consumed throughout the night. They are high on each other and are just now realizing it. Or just now admitting it.
"I thought we weren't gonna talk about it." She whispers, afraid of breaking the thin veil of tranquility currently surrounding them.
"We're not talking about it." His tone mimics hers as though he's afraid he'll scare her off. His grip on her is gentle but firm. It'll physically hurt if he tries to force himself to let go of her.
Luckily he doesn't have to because, before either of them know it, their lips collide.
The innocence of the kiss is brief and gone within seconds. Hands start roaming, breaths are shared, lines are crossed. And, technically, they aren't talking about it. But still, plenty is being said. A decade of pent up emotion is coming to fruition. It's nothing short of passionate, desperate almost.
Right on-brand for them.
* * * * *
"Hi."
"Hi."
They're fully clothed, cuddled up on the couch and alone in the room. Not all lines were crossed last night of fear they might regret it in the morning. However, if their smiles are anything to go by, nothing is being regretted.
Neither of them attempts to move from their comfortable little bubble. Neither of them cares that Nate and Sam probably witnessed this sight when they woke up. Neither of them tries checking the time. It's their way of trying to make the moment last longer into infinity.
"What's going on in that head of yours?" Colby breaks the silence, threading his fingers through her hair.
Her ear is directly over his heart, listening to its steady rhythm she finds so much comfort in, "Just that I can't even lie right. I tell my mom one lie and it ends up becoming true."
Laughter vibrates throughout his chest, sending waves through her body as well, "Is this you asking me out?"
"Do you want it to be?" Y/N shrugs, tilting her head to look up at him.
He smirks down at her, "So much for rebelling, huh?"
"Shut up."
Knowing he won't do so on his own, she tends to the matter herself by pressing her lips to his, effectively shutting him up.

Friends
Colby Brock x Fem!reader
Summary: It’s been 4 months since you broke up, and Colby just can’t seem to move on..
Warnings: past relationships, Colby cheating in said past relationship, Cussing, Angst
Word count: 1.4k
Hii guys! New banner, new story. This is my first story where I’ve really switched the pov’s around, so I hope you enjoy! btw, on Colby’s pov, (first) means first person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The song "Friends" by Chase Atlantic is about the feeling of longing for a past relationship that has ended.
Y/n’s pov:
It had been 3 months since you guys broke up. You and Colby dated for a year and a half and it was torture. you put everything into that relationship, and in return, Colby did nothing. And after you found out he cheated with multiple different girls, you got into a heated argument.
This ended with you getting slapped in the face and Colby leaving. A day after, you packed all of his stuff he left at your apartment and gave it to his bestfriend, Sam. Sam was a little confused at first because he got on the phone with Colby the night of and nothing seemed wrong. When you explained, Sam was furious. he asked if you were okay and you said yes, but you lied.
You were hurting inside, Colby never seemed like the type to hit. He proved you wrong.
Colby’s pov (first):
God, I miss you, is what I wrote in my 1000th text message I knew I wasn’t gonna send. I can’t grasp the feeling of her gone. “Hey Colby, whatcha doing?” Sam says, barging in my room. “Nothing” I reply coldly. Sam gives me a look, then speaks. “Are you still thinking about her? It’s been 3 months.” Sam states. I hate how he can just read my mind.
“I know Sam, I just miss her so much.” I reply. “Well;” Sam stops his sentence to sit down. “You fucked up, and you can fix that if you really try. Instead of just sitting here crying and wishing she’ll come running back.” Sam finishes. “Sam, that’s the most realest thing you’ve ever said.” I say, half joking. But I wasn’t it was, it was what i needed to do.
𝟣 𝗆𝗈𝗇𝗍𝗁 𝗅𝖺𝗍𝖾𝗋
Y/n pov:
Your at an influencer party hosted by your mutual. It was pretty cool. They had drinks and games everywhere. You stuck around with your other mutual Tarayummy. She asked you a question that made you rethink your entire life.
“Do you think Colby’s gonna be here?” you immediately froze. You didn’t think of that. You could barely the thought of seeing his face after all this time. He broke you so much. After the breakup, you started cutting, and haven’t been able to stop since. You knew if you could make peace with him, but you couldn’t.
You could stand face to face with the guy who ruined you. Also, when he told his fans that you guys broke up, you were sent death threats from is fans because they thought you broke up with him. You genuinely wanted to, but you held on for hope, and you’re still trying to find it.
Colby’s pov (first):
I just pulled up to this influencer party with Sam. I have no idea who’s hosting it, I just got a random invite to my phone. I see people out in the front yard wasted. Some of them throwing up. I feel bad for the guy who lives here.
When I walk into the house, I just see people having fun, something I haven’t done in a while. Then it crosses my mind, what if Y/n’s here? Thinking of that immediately made me jump. Just the thought of her being there made me so happy. I’ve longed to see her again. After the breakup, she blocked me on everything. I wasn’t able to be the “stalker ex”. I haven’t seen her face in forever, so knowing she could possibly be at this party brings me joy. Maybe I could finally apologize.
Searching for her felt like I was looking for a needle in a haystack. But it didn’t make me feel all that lazy, there were well over 100 people at this party. all i wanted was to find her, and tell her how much i miss her. I miss us. I’ve been stuck in the same place of too long, and all my friends are waiting for of me to move on. But I can’t.
Y/n’s pov:
All night you hoped you wouldn’t see him. You couldn’t do that again. Even if you wanted to get back with him, he never took the relationship seriously. You concluded he wasn’t ready for one.
While walking down the halls you see someone that made you rethink your life again. It was Colby. You were starstruck but quick enough to turn around in hopes he didn’t see you. “Damn.” you thought, you ain’t going through secluded area anymore. Proven to be bad luck.
“Y/n.” you heard a soft voice coming from the end of the hallway. While in the middle of thought, you just decide to talk to him, whats the worst that could happen?
“yes?” you respond quietly. “You don’t know how long I’ve been wanting to talk to you.” he says, on the verge of tears. When he says that, all you could do was stare. The person you were so in love with, and who just left you with no hesitation, can’t move on. You honestly weren’t surprised. Colby has always had attachment issues, but never had a problem going out to parties and having bitches in his bed.
Colby’s pov (first):
I’m still searching for Y/n. This house is too big to be looking for one person. out the corner of my eye, I see Tara. I always knew her and Tara were close so if she was here, Tara would know where she was. “Hey Tara,” I start. “Oh hey Colby! Long time no see.” she smiles and pulls me into a hug. “Yeah it has, but anyway;” I rush to get her off of me. She just looks at me a little irritated and confused, but she listens. “Have you seen Y/n? Is she here?” I ask, eager to know. “Woah slow down buddy, I don’t even think she wants to see you.” She tells me.
“What do you mean?” I frowned. “I don’t know, when i mentioned you to her she just went pale and walked off.” she explains. “Dude, you must’ve really fucked up.” Tara laughs. “Yeah I did, and i’m trying to fix it. Where did she walk to?” I ask, once again. “Uhhh she went overrrr…” she scans the room. “Oh! She went over to that empty corridor over there.” she finished. I didn’t even thank her, I just rushed to the corridor in hopes of finding her.
I stop at the entrance and I see her. She’s walking down kinda fast. As soon as she sees me, she turns around to walk the other way. This broke my heart, she really doesn’t want to see me. I build up the courage to say
“Y/n.” I call out. She stops dead in her tracks, I bet a million things are going on in her head. “yes?” she responds quietly. My heart skips a beat. “You don’t know how long I’ve been wanting to talk to you.” I say, on the verge of letting a river out of my eyes. She turns around then, and I can see that beautiful face I fell in love with, that i’m still in love with.
Y/n pov:
“What do you want to say?” you question, but not very curious because you knew he was gonna give you some bs story. “Y/n i’ve missed you so much. Ever since I left and didn’t get to apologize, I broke-“ “Are you fucking serious?” you ask.
He looks at you with confusion. “You had 4 months. 4 month to try and reach out to me. I know I have you blocked on everything but you could’ve came to my apartment, or you could’ve tried Sam’s phone.” you state. “I-I know I could’ve, but when the time came I would’ve did that.” he lies. “But you didn’t. You left me, no goodbye or anything and you expect me to hear you out? You killed me, everything in me. I can’t go through that again.”
“Wait Y/n please let me explain-“. “No, if listen to you more, i’m gonna punch you in the face. You have to move on. You have to understand I was wronged in that relationship, I just can’t do that a second time.” you say, with tears spilling out your almond shaped eyes. At this point Colby was crying so hard. “Y/n please-“. “Goodbye Colby.” you conclude, and walk out the corridor.
Tumblr media
I hope you guys liked it! I really enjoyed writing this but it all happened while something crazy happened. Helped me keep calm:)

Jake ‼️:
Hey love,come over? Colby’s here btw x
You:
Okayyy,one minute? X
Jake ‼️:
Okay see you soon x
Tumblr media
I grabbed my half empty white claw off the counter and smiled grabbing my keys.
I locked the door quickly yet gently and proceeded to walk down the hallway to his apartment which was a floor below me.
After I got out of the elevator I walked to his apartment, knocking gently I heard him jump up and gently run to the door.
I hugged him before walking into his apartment and smiling giving a slight wave at Colby before hugging him and sitting down next to him.
Jake’s face contorted but I thought nothing of it and smiled as I cosied up next to him.
I felt Jake move away slightly and my smile faded,I rubbed his hand but he moved and I gave up,maybe he was just in a bad mood with Colby or something.
Either way I shrugged it off and continued to watch whatever they were watching on YouTube whilst sipping my white claw.
Tumblr media
I walked to the kitchen to throw my empty white claw can in the bin.I had tried to shrug off Jake’s behaviour but it was affecting me,whether or not he could see it.
I decided I would quickly text him whilst I leaned back on the counter.
Tumblr media
You:
Did I do something wrong? You’re scaring me.
Jake ‼️:
Don’t know, why don’t you ask Colby if you’re so interested.
You:
Jake! You’re my boyfriend, why would I even want to talk to Colby??
Jake ‼️:
Yeah whatever
You:
He’s leaving now anyways!
Tumblr media
Colby got off the sofa and fist bumped Jake walking over to the kitchen next to the front door and gave me a hug before leaving.
After Colby had left I sat next to Jake again, hoping he had got over his jealousy.
I cuddled up next to Jake again and he moved away. “Okay,Jake what’s your issue?” I asked him,as I looked up to him,he paused YouTube whilst I sat up staring into his soul.
“You seem to love Colby so much! Why don’t you go fuck him instead?” He said and I audibly laughed,he didn’t seem to like that.
“Jake you’re the only one I even think about fucking,so don’t start.” I said as my laughter died down.
“Oh yeah? What you thinking?” He said leaning back on the sofa and I climbed onto his legs, facing him.
“Maybe something like this..why don’t I show you?” I whispered in his ear before kissing his neck.
“Maybe you should.” He said relaxing into the sofa as I pulled of his shirt, grinding on him softly as he held his hands at my hips.
He began pushing my hips down harder and I whined into the kiss I had found myself in.
“You’re mine baby, all mine.” He whispered as he reclaimed dominance, nipping at my neck gently and slowly putting me on my back.
“All yours.” I whispered back as he took off my shirt and bra. “All mine, yeah?” He asked playfully taking off my bra and taking my nipples into his mouth.
“Promise,m’ all yours Jake, promise.” I whispered, biting back a moan. He soon slipped his hands down and past my skirt.
He began to rub my clit through my panties, his hand round my neck as he kissed me.
“Jake,I’m all yours, please.” I said and he smiled, “Mkay baby.” He said and slowly took down my panties.
He lowered his face in between my legs and I could already feel the heat from his mouth reverberating in between my legs.
I smiled as he lapped his tongue up towards my clit,I moaned out as he took my clit between his pointer, index and thumb, continuing to lick at my heat.
He slowly pushed his tongue inside of me and I almost screamed from pleasure.
I writhed around underneath him, moaning and clenching around his tongue.
I had become a mess from his tongue alone, leaving me patiently waiting for more.
Tumblr media
“Fuck,Jake!” I moaned out, knowing he probably still wouldn’t let me cum.
This was the third time I was on edge and it was torture. He sped up his pace, his hips clashing mine as I stared at the stars in my eyes, and not to mention the tattoos on his pelvis and arm that was currently choking me.
He pulled out again as I clenched around him and I whined out of disappointment.
“Jake, please.” I whined out as he poured above me sarcastically. “What do you think?” He said and I couldn’t decipher if he was sarcastic or not but I didn’t care.
“I’m begging, please Jake.” I whispered and he smiled returning back to his original pace.
I moaned out loud again,my limbs giving up on me and all the focus on was my pleasure and Jake’s hand wrapped around my neck.
“I’m close!” I moaned out as I clenched on him for a final time. “Same princess, cum with me.” He said softly as I finally came.
Tumblr media
I lied in his arms, falling asleep, his t-shirt loosely wrapped around me and his head in the crook of my neck as he spooned me.

─── ⋆⋅ ☾⋅⋆ ───
"You've got to be kidding me." You mumble into your slim champagne glass before taking a sip. Your friend, Leslie, looks up at you, "Who?" She glances back and scoffs, turning back to face you, "Of course he's here."
Your eyes stay on him, tracking him as he walks up to the bar, nodding as the bartender gets his usual.
"He has no business being here." You shake your head and Leslie nods, "Mhm. He'll get what's coming to him. Don't worry."
You look back up, tensing up slightly as you no longer have eyes on him.
"Ladies."
Your eyes lock on your Leslie's, "I knew this place was going downhill." She glances over at the man standing at the table, looking between the two of you, "Why do you say that, y/n?" She swirls her wine in her glass and you lean back, glancing over at him, "They're just letting anyone in here now, aren't they?"
"Yeah?" He questions as he sits down next to you, "I see they let anyone who has a bratty attitude in, too."
You roll your eyes, laughing once before finishing your drink, "Last I checked, this is my father's casino. What do you want. Are you here to accuse him again?" You look over at him and he shrugs, extending his arm on the top of the booth behind you, "Nah, I cleared that up." He sips his drink with a shrug, "Just wanted to talk."
"About what?" You stare at him and he chuckles, "Maybe we should have this conversation else where."
You shake your head, resting your elbows on the table, "Here's fine."
He chuckles and shakes his head, "You know.." he looks over at you, "I really wasn't giving you a choice, darling."
You turn to him, leaning in, "See, the gun that's strapped to my thigh tells me different."
He licks his lips, a smirk growing over them as he turns to look at you, "Are you threatening me?" His tone lowers to match yours and you tilt your head, "Not unless we have a problem."
You lean back, grabbing the fresh glass of champagne that was delivered to your table, "Do we have a problem Mr. Brock?"
He pulls his bottom lip between his teeth and shakes his head, "Nope. No problem."
"Good. So then this can wait until tomorrow when I'm not trying to enjoy my night with a very dear friend." You lift your finger off your glass, pointing to Leslie.
He looks over at her and back to you, "Mm. Alright." He stands up, turning to face you, "You're going to wish you spoke with me tonight."
"I think I'll manage." You give him a forced smile and watch as he walks back up to the bar.
"What was that all about?" Leslie leans in and your eyes stay on him, "I don't know." You shake your head, taking a deep breath as you move your focus from him to her, "I don't know."
·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
Colby Brock.
That name left a bitter taste on your tongue and an even bitter hatred in the pits of your heart.
You hated him.
You hated the way he speaks, the way he walks, the way he talks, everything about him just gets under your skin and you can't stand it.
He has always rubbed you the wrong way and he knows it too, which is what makes it so much worse. He uses it against you, feeding his massive ego with the anger that radiates off of you when you see him.
It also doesn't help that he disrespected your father infront of his colleagues. Making your father out to be a complete fool.
If someone disrespects him. They disrespect you, too, and that's something you don't take lightly.
"Y/n. Sweetie." Your father voice echos in the large open stairwell, "Can you come see me for a moment?"
"Coming!" You yell back, marking the page of your open book with your bookmark, smoothing out your shirt as you stand up and make your way out the door.
You smile slightly at your father's body guard as you come down the steps and he nods, "Hello, y/n." You look over to your father and he motions towards his office, "I seen you were at the casino last night."
He sits down in the big chair behind his desk and you sit down in front of it, "I was, yes."
"How was it?" He leans back, interlocking his fingers as they lay over his stomach. You nod, "It was alright. Just had a few glasses of wine with Leslie."
You look at him, a slight confusion resting on your face.
"Did you speak with Mr. Brock?" Your father's words make your jaw clench, "Nope."
"And why not?" He looks at you and you shrug, "Because I hate him."
Your father chuckles and shakes his head, "Sweetie." Your father sighs, "You have to let some grudges go."
"Well, this isn't one of them." Your eyes move to his and he nods, "I understand why you're frustrated with him, but he came back the next day and completely bought my forgiveness."
You nod, "And I understand that that is how it works for you, but I don't exactly see him on his knees begging for mine."
Your father chuckles, "My dear, are your father's daughter."
"What is it that you need exactly, dad?" You cross your arms, hoping he just gets to the point of why you were pulled away from your reading.
"I need you to do something for me." He folds his hands together and leans back, "I'll be honest, it's something you aren't going to like, but I just need you to remind yourself that it's for me. For us."
"If it has anything to do with Colby.. no. Hard, no." You shake your head and your father sighs, "I need his help and he needs mine." He stares at you, waiting for you to response but you don't, so he breaks the silence, "..and as you know, I am one of the most successful business owners in Vegas."
You loved your father, but you hated when he used his work against you, and he wasn't talking about the casino work.
He was talking about what happens underground, because if he goes down, you're going down too.
"Yeah.. I know." You mumble and look down.
"Now. Have you changed your mind? Will you hear me out?" He watches as you look around the room, nodding with a sigh, "Yeah, yeah I guess."
"Great. I need you to accompany Colby to a special.. party."
You fight hard for control your face from expressing how much you hated that words that came from his lips, "A party? Why?"
"This party is Colby's thing and he's requested you as his date." Your father pulls out a folder and opens it, "But, it just so happens that the people who are hosting it, have something I want. Something I need." He holds up a picture of a small golden box, "I need this."
You snicker at his hypocritical words.
"What's that about?" He asks and you shake your head, "Just think it's kind of funny that you told me to let my grudge against Colby go, but yet.." you motion out in front of you, "..here you are."
Your father sighs, taking a moment before he looks up, "This is different, y/n. Not some grudge, Colby didn't steal anything from you, and like I said.. he requested you as his date, and he's helping me so it's the least I could do in return."
You laugh slightly, "Even after I threatened him with a gun last night?"
Your father's eyes go wide, "Y-you what?" He stares at you, glancing to Rio before laughing, "Fucking Christ, y/n."
"I didn't know what he wanted and I sure as hell wasn't going anywhere alone with him. I don't trust him." You cross your leg over the other and your father closes the folder, "He wanted to ask you himself, try and get you to trust him. But I see that didn't work so I'll have a dress delivered for you tomorrow morning."
He slips the folder back in the drawer and lays his hand down, "You're going and that's final."
Rio steps up beside you, "C'mon."
You look up at him, rolling your eyes, "you're not even going to give me a choice?" You look at your father and he shrugs, "Well, sweetie. I was, until you started with that bratty attitude of yours."
You scoff, standing up, "I'm on a roll. First Colby, now you?" You look at Rio, "Do you want to make it a third?"
"Y/n. Just go. Please. Don't make this any harder." Rio nods towards the door and you walk out, shutting the door before Rio can and you pull out your phone, immediately calling Leslie.
"Hey, find out what douche bag wanted last night?" She answers and you laugh, "I sure did." You slowly walk up the steps, "Basically, I have to be his date for some bullshit job that he's doing for my dad."
"Can't he do it himself?" She asks, "That's so stupid."
"Yeah, you're telling me. Oh, and apparently I'm bratty. Who knew." You laugh and walk into your room, closing the door, "Apparently these people throwing this party have something my dad wants -
Or needs." You sigh, "I don't know."
"Why do you have to go, though?" She asks and you shrug to yourself, "Because Colby is helping my dad get this back and it's the least he can do for him because Colby requested me or whatever.." You plop down on your bed, "Who knows. My bratty attitude cut it short."
She laughs, "Yeah.. you're really on a roll."
"That's what I said!" You pull your phone away, "Hang on, I'm getting another call." You hit the green circle, "Hello?"
"Just thought I'd like to say thank you for agreeing to be my date tomorrow night."
You know the voice, it was like nails on a chalkboard to you, "Bye." You pull the phone away and you can hear him yelling, "Wait, wait, wait!"
"You got three seconds to tell me why you called me." You chew on your lip, bouncing your leg as anger rolls through your body.
"I just wanted to tell you myself, that I'm happy you actually accepted my invitation."
"Fuck you."
"Whoa, hey. Easy there, sweetheart. I'm just trying to be nice." Colby chuckles and you roll your eyes, "Take it to someone who actually cares."
"Come on, y/n. You can't hate me forever."
"Watch me." You hang up, going back to your call with Leslie, "So that was Colby."
"Huh!? What happened?" She asks surprised and you sigh, "To tell me all about how he's excited to spend time with me and how he's thankful I agreed to go on this date, blah, blah. Fucking blah."
A sudden twinge of integument twist in your gut and you sit up, "I kinda wanna go." You admit and she laughs at your words, "Did you just hear yourself?"
You laugh, "No I mean so I can get this box before Colby does. Prove to my dad that he doesn't need Colby.."
Hopefully she buys that. You actually were kind of excited to go, until it hit you that you're going with Colby again, "Fuck, I don't want to go at all."
"Then don't."
You laugh at Leslie's words, "If that was even possible, I would, but I don't think I have a choice. You know my father."
"Yeah." Leslie sighs, "I do."
"He's having dresses brought over in the morning. I have to pick one and if I know my dad, they won't be anywhere near my style." You stare up at the ceiling, mind spinning about the possibilities of tomorrow night.
"I'm sure they won't be that bad. Let me know which one you pick. I'm sure it'll be alright." Leslie yawns, "I'm heading to bed."
"Alright. Love ya."
"Love you!"
·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
"Y/N." Your father calls, waking you up, "I need you down here!"
You let out a groan, "Coming!" You kick the blankets off of you, sitting up as you rub your eyes.
"Good morning, sunshine."
Your hands snap away from your face, glaring at the figure sitting in the chair by the window. You blink a few times, "Jesus Christ. If you're planning to kill me just fucking do it already."
"Far from that, sweetheart." Colby says moving forward to sit on the edge of the chair. You roll your eyes, "Don't call me that."
"Why not, darling?"
"Or that, fuck." You huff, "Get out. Why are you here?"
"Oh now you want to know why I'm here.." he stands up, "After you just told me to, what? Get out?" He walks over to you, standing a few inches away.
You lick your lips, rolling your eyes slightly as you sigh, "I don't need to see you anymore than I already don't want to."
Colby chuckles, reaching out to drag a hand up your bicep, "I think you want to see me."
You yank your arm away, "And why exactly would I want to see someone who humiliated not only my father but me as well?"
"I didn't humiliate you."
"Sure you didn't. You disrespect my father, you disrespect me, now get out before I call Rio in here to kick your ass."
Colby chuckles, "Please. I think your father would be quite pleased that I'm in here with you."
"I beg to differ." You turn, grabbing a sweatshirt to throw over your tank top clad body, "Don't make this anymore painful than it already is."
"Who said it was painful? I'm actually very excited about tonight." Colby crosses his arms, smiling as he watches you put your hair into a bun, "I can't wait to see which dress you choose."
"Of course you already seen them." You roll your eyes and he scoffs, "Please, you act like I'd let him pick out something ugly for you to wear."
"That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me. Thanks." You scoff and turn, stopping before you open the door, "You better be gone by the time I come back."
"Trust me. I will. I don't want to spoil the surprise of which dress you bring up. Saving the excitement for later." He winks and you make a face, shaking your head as you make your way down the steps.
"Ah, morning sweetheart." Your father opens his arms, motioning at the four dressed that are on a mobile clothing rack, "Take your pick, my darling daughter."
You smirk slightly, shaking your head as you look over the fact that he's trying to suck up from last night, for his own good.
Your eyes move over the dresses, "This one is too fluffy." You point to the pale pink one, "I don't like all the ruffles on that one." You look away from the dark green one to a light blue one, "I don't like this one either. It's not long enough, nor short enough."
"Do you have to be so picky, my dear?" Your father sighs lowly and you shrug, "Sorry. I just.." your eyes move to the black gown that's hiding behind the blue one, "Wait.."
You take the gown off the rack, looking over the soft black fabric, "Can I try this one on?" Your father nods, "Of course you can."
You nod, walking back up to your room. You bite your lip, slowly opening the door to make sure Colby is actually gone.
By the time your door is fully open and Colby is in no line of sight, you hear the door open and your father greets Colby, "There he is! Come in, Mr. Brock."
You move into your room, shutting the door and making sure to lock it. You lay the dress down on the bed, slipping off your pajamas before pulling the dress up your legs and slipping your arms through the thin straps.
You walk over to the mirror, admiring the black spaghetti strap dress, "Oh." You bite your lip as you shift your weight, watching as your leg is revealed through one high slit going up the side, "Shit."
You couldn't lie, this dress made you feel beautiful, powerful, too.
"Y/n." Your father knocks on the door, "Hows it fit?"
You walk over, opening the door and stepping back, "it's alright." You look down and your father gasps, "You look beautiful, sweetheart."
You smile, still slightly hating him for making you go to this bullshit party, "Thanks, dad." You lay your hand on the door, "Why is Colby here?"
He chuckles, "Oh yeah, we're just going over some stuff about the party tonight. Filling him in on where the object of my needs may be hiding."
"Shouldn't I be filled in, too? Considering I'm also going." You shrug and your father nods, "You know what. You're right. Come down to my office when you've changed."
You watch him turn and walk away and you shut your door, changing quickly before going back down stairs.
You knock on the office door and Rio opens it, "Good morning, y/n."
"Morning, Rio." You move into the room and clench your jaw when you see the back of Colby's head. He turns, "Good morning."
You roll your eyes, not giving him another word.
"Sweetheart, Colby said good morning." Your father stares you down as you walk over to the chair next to Colby, "I heard him."
"Stubborn one she is." Your father looks at Colby and he shakes his head as he holds his hand up, "Don't worry about it Mr. y/l/n."
"Okay. So where were we?" Your father looks down at the folder, "Right, right." He sighs and looks up, "I'm going to have to say that it's in one of these back rooms here. Y/n." Your father looks at you and you look at him, "Yes?"
"You still know how to pick locks right?"
You feel Colby look at you with such surprise, "You can pick locks?"
You nod, "Yes. Ever since you taught me." You motion to your dad and he smirks, "That's my girl. You're probably going to need to pick at least three of them."
You nod, "Okay." You tilt your head, "Won't these people know who I am? Being your daughter and all?"
Your father shakes his head, "They shouldn't. These people are very underground. None of them have that social media stuff like you do."
You laugh slight, "alright."
"So you'll get there, mingle around. Colby will know a lot of people there." Your father motions to him and he nods, "That's right."
You roll your eyes, "Surprised you haven't wronged them yet, either."
"Y/n." Your father's tone is stern, "Can you just.. please. Keep your side comments to your damn self."
"Yes, father." You cross your leg over the other, interlocking your fingers to lay over your knee, "I'm all ears. My lips are sealed."
He rolls his eyes, looking back to Colby, "So we've pretty much gone over all of it already, so you'll just need to go in there with confidence and I promise I'll have your reward when that golden trophy of a box is sitting on my desk."
"I won't let you down, sir." Colby nods and you're fighting the urge, hard, not to mock him.
"Y/n. Do you have any questions?" Your father looks at you and as you open your mouth to speak, he cuts you off, "Yes. You still have to go."
"Then no." You huff quietly and your father nods, "alright, so it's set then. Mr. Brock will be back here around six tonight to pick you up, so be ready by then."
You nod and motion to the door, "Can I go now?" He nods, "Yeah, you're free to go."
·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
You sat at your vanity, staring at your freshly makeup painted face as you dreadfully await the arrival of Colby.
You bend down, buckling the ankle strap of your gold strappy heels before standing up and walking over to the mirror to give yourself one last look.
You turn your head as you hear the faint sound of your father greeting Colby.
"Fuck." You take a deep breathe, "You have no choice." You tell yourself, "You have no choice. You have to go." You grab your purse, checking to see if you have everything.
Lipstick, check.
Phone, check.
Compact mirror, check.
Lock picking set, check.
Gun, just in case, check.
You brush your hair off your shoulder, letting out a long sigh, "Okay." You walk over to the door, slowly opening it and closing it behind you once you step out.
You make your way down, heels clacking with each step.
That draws the attention Colby and your father have on each other, to you. Colby's mouth parts slightly, "That's a beautiful dress, sir."
Your father nods, "That's the only one she didn't have anything negative to say about."
Colby chuckles, eyes on you as you walk over to them, "You look amazing."
"I know." You smile as you look at your father, "I guess we'll be back." He nods, "I'll be waiting." He leans in to peck your cheek, "Be nice."
"Yeah Colby." You snicker and your father tilts his head, "I was talking to you."
"Yeah, yeah." You bat the air as you walk away, going towards the door. As you reach for the knob, Colby's hand cuts you off, "Allow me."
"Mm." You roll your eyes, walking out and down the steps to the blacked out Audi that's sits at the bottom of the steps, "This is yours?" You point and look over at Colby.
He smirks, "You act like you're surprised or something." He walks over, opening the passenger door, "After you."
You fight back a smirk as you slide your body into the vehicle, moving your dress before he closes the door. You look around at the black and red interior as he walks around to get into the drivers seat, "All set?"
You nod, "Don't have a choice."
The whole ride was silent. You didn't bother to make small talk because you really didn't want to hear what Colby had to say.
"Alright, darling. I think we're here."
You look up, seeing a very lit up venue. It was super luxurious, but it's definitely a place you and Leslie would be seen at so you're not surprised.
"This place is huge." You mumble as your eyes scan over the brightly lit windows, "Jesus."
"Yeah, Oliver and his wife, Eloise go all out for these things." Colby gets in line for the valet and sighs, "They're good people, or were good people."
His voice trails off and you look over at him, mainly asking because you're nosey, "What happened?"
He chuckles, "They just.. think they own everything, I guess."
You felt like there was something he wasn't telling you, but at the same time, you just cared about getting in and getting out as fast as possible.
"Yeah, I know people like that." You look out the window, getting ready to get out. Colby chuckles, "Was that a shot at me? I feel like that was a shot at me."
You snort, "If the shoe fits, Colby."
He shakes his head, smirking as he pulls up and puts the car in park. He gets out and you watch as he walks around to open your door, "Come on." He holds his hand out and you hesitate at first, but you take it, letting go as soon as you're out of the car.
"Last name sir?" The valet attendant asks pulling out a little card.
"Brock. First name Colby."
The valet attendant nods, "Good to see you, Mr. Brock. Enjoy tonight."
Colby's arm snakes around your waist, "Plan on it." He winks at the guy and walks you up the wide red carpet.
"I hope you don't plan on it with me." You mumble with a laugh and Colby sighs, "you never know, y/n. Feelings might change by the end of the night. " He smiles down at you before walking you through the doors.
"Highly doubt that." You mumble as you walk with him. Your eyes scan across the room, watching as the rich mingle with the other rich.
Colby leans down, pulling you from your gaze, "Need a drink?" You nod, "Yeah. Please." He walks you over to the long bar on the side, sitting down on the bar stool as he waits for the bartender to come up.
"Brock. Where the hell ya been buddy?" The blonde bartender says leaning in to Colby, "We miss ya around here."
Colby chuckles, pulling you closer to him, "oh ya know." He nods towards you and the bartender's eyebrows raise as his eyes scan over you.
"Been keepin' her hidden from guys like you." Colby jokes and the bartender laughs, "I can see why." He whistles, "She's gorgeous."
You laugh slightly, "Thanks." You glance down at Colby's hand resting on your hip, fighting the urge to bat it away. Mainly because the more of a fight you put up, the longer you'll be here.
"What can I get ya to drink?"
"I'll just take a chardonnay, please." You look over your shoulder at a group of people who's growing louder.
"That's the hosts." Colby confirms and he looks back, "I'll just do a whiskey. Neat, please."
"Chardonnay and whiskey. Coming right up." The bartender nods as he grabs two different glasses before walking away.
"You know him or something?" You mumble as your eyes scan over his half buttoned button up. He nods, "Yeah, his name is Sam. We grew up together but we ended up on two different paths, so the only time we see each other is when I come to these things." He sighs, "I came to a lot of them, then I stopped for a while and now we're here."
You look up at him, nodding, "Sorry."
"Don't be sorry. Wasn't really a sob story."
You scoff, "that. That right there." You roll your eyes, shaking your head as you look away. Colby chuckles, "What are you talking about?"
"You're just an asshole."
"I'm the asshole?" Colby laughs and you raise your brows, "Are you saying that I'm the asshole?"
He shakes his head, "No I would ne-"
He's cut off by Sam bringing your glasses, "Whiskey for the gentleman." He sets Colby's glass down and looks over at you with a smile, "Chardonnay for the lady."
"Thank you." You smile, taking a sip of it, "That's very good." Sam nods, "Oh yes. Best seller here at the old Montgomery House."
"They treating you right?" Colby asks and Sam's face goes soft, "Yeah. For the most part." Colby leans in, "Say the word and I-"
"Colby. It's fine. I'm good."
Their exchange makes you feel like there's more to the Montgomery's that everyone been leading on.
You watch Sam's facial expression, he remains calm and cool and Colby looks like he's getting mad, "I'm serious Sam."
"I'm serious, Colby. I'm good." Sam's eyes move over to people walking up behind you and he nods, "Enjoy your evening."
Colby look away and smiles, "Oliver. How's it going?" Colby spins you around subtly and places you between his legs, "Go with it." He whispers before a very fancy dressed couple walks up, "Mr. Brock. How are you this evening?"
Colby nods, sipping his whiskey, "Can't complain." He motions to you, "This is my fiancé, y/n." You freeze& slightly at the words, forcing a smile as you reach out to take Oliver's hand, "Hello, Mr. Montgomery."
He nods, "Y/n." He brings your hand to his lips, pressing them gently to his knuckles before stepping aside, "This is my wife, Eloise."
The short woman gives a nod, "Hello."
You smile, "I love your earrings." She smiles and reaches up to lay her hand under one of the dangly diamonds, "Oh, these old things." She laughs slightly, "I've had these things for ages."
"Well they're beautiful." You continue to smile and she nods, "Thank you, honey." She looks over at Colby, "You're staying out of trouble, I presume?"
Colby nods, "Yes ma'am. No trouble at all."
She nods, "That's what I like to see."
You now realize that you have absolutely no backstory on anyone here, especially Colby. You just have the idea of what you painted of him in your mind.
"Of course." Colby finishes his drink and sets it down, motioning to Sam for another one. You swirl your wine in your glass, sipping on it as Colby and Oliver continue to talk.
"Your dress is absolutely beautiful. It's so simple, yet the way the dress lays is beyond stunning." Eloise looks it up and down before meeting your eyes.
You tilt your head, "Colby actually got it for me. He said I had to wear my best dress, so.." you lay your hand on his shoulder, "You can thank him."
"Very good taste in clothing, as always." Eloise smiles and everyone's attention is caught off by someone tapping a knife to their glass, "If everyone would please put your hands together for the hosts of tonight's party, Mr. Oliver Montgomery and his very beautiful wife, Eloise."
"That's our cue." She cuts Oliver's conversation, "Come on sweetie." Oliver nods, "very good to meet you, y/n. Keep this one in check." He pats Colby's shoulder and you laugh slickly, "I'll do my best."
As soon as their backs are turned and they're making their way through the crowd, you push yourself off Colby, "What the fuck was that?"
"What was what?" He asks, bringing his glass to his lips to hide his smirk. You lean in, "You know what. Fiancé?!" Your voice is a quiet yell, "Are you fucking serious?"
He shakes his head, "Relax. Not like you'd ever want to marry me."
"Got that fucking right." You lean back against the bar, looking around as you take a big gulp. Colby stands up, "Come on. We have to find the rooms." He takes your hand in his, "Did you bring your gadget?"
"Brought a few." You snicker and Colby stops, turning to face you, "Y/n. This is serious."
You step back, "Dude, I know." You shrug, "Can't I make a joke?"
He sigh and turns, taking your hand into his again, "Not when our lives are on the line."
"What?" You stop, pulling him to you, "What the fuck did you just say?"
He shakes his head, "Nothing. Let's just-" he tries to pull you but you do your best to stay still. He looks around, nodding at people that walk by, "I'll explain as you're picking the locks open. Now come the fuck on."
You're shocked at how quickly his mood changed.
"Colby.." you ask and he ignores you as he leads you towards the back of the ball room, "Colby.." you squeeze his hand and he just holds on to yours tighter.
You sigh, throwing in the towel with trying to get his attention. You make your way to the back wall and Colby pushes the door open, "This way."
He lays a hand on your lower back as you walk through, following right behind you. He looks behind him to make sure no one followed you and sighs, "Alright. Your dad said it would probably be down one of the other hallways or something."
"Did my father threaten your life?"
He ignores the question, pulling out his phone as he looks at the slightly blurry map on the screen, "This way." He points, looking around as you round the corner, "Okay now this way."
"Colby."
"Colby.”
He stops, quickly pinning you up against the wall, "Goddamit y/n. Just fucking stop."
You stare up at him, "Let me. The fuck. Go."
"Fucking hell." He whispers and steps back as he slowly lets you go. He turns, running a hand through his hair, "Just.. Come on."
He starts to walk away and you try to piece together as to why Colby's acting so different but nothing is make sense to you.
"Here." He point to the door and looks around, "This one." You unzip your small purse, taking out your lock picking tool and you kneel down while Colby stands guard.
A few seconds later, Colby walks back up to you, "A little faster would be nice."
"Do you want to do it yourself?" You snap, keeping your eyes glued to the lock. He sighs, "Just.. hurry."
"Trying my best here, Colby." You roll your eyes, sticking your tongue out slightly as you focus. Soon you hear a click and you look up, "We're in."
He pushes the door open and inside is an empty room with nothing by a table in the middle of it.
"Your dad said there wouldn't be cameras.. why? I don't know. But.." he leans in, looking around, "I don't see anything."
You walk in after him, closing the door quietly behind you, "Why does he want this so bad?" Your fingers graze over the cool gold colored box, "What's so special about-"
Colby moves to you, laying a hand on your waist as you hear shuffling outside the door, "Don't do anything." He whispers as quietly as possible into your ear.
You nod, biting down on your lip as you wait for the sound to pass. You let out a sigh, "Fuck." Colby looks around, opening the drawer thats in the wall, "What the fuck?"
You walk over, gasping as you see a photo of your mother and father, "Why do they- that's my mom and dad."
Your mind starts racing and you shake your head, "Did they-" you lay a hand over your mouth and look at Colby, your mind going to the worst, "Did you ki-" you sigh, trying not to cry, "Are you why my mom died?"
"What? No. Of course not." Colby steps towards you and you back up, "I told you I didn't fucking trust you."
"Y/n." Colby steps towards you and you shake your head, "Don't. Don't do that."
"Don't come near me." You wipe your cheek and sniffle as you watch him slowly move towards you, "I'm serious Colby, stop.. do-" you reach into your purse, pulling out your loaded gun, "I said stop."
Colby freezes, holding his hands up, "Y/n."
You stare at him, gun pointing directly at his chest, "I swear to god Colby. Don't come near me until you fucking tell me what happened to my mom."
"I told you, that wasn't. Fucking. Me. I didn't know about you until a few months ago." Colby says and you laugh, "Why should I believe you?"
He drops his hands and shrugs, "You know what, y/n." He walks up to you, pressing his chest to the muzzle of the pistol, "Do it. Pull the fucking trigger." He locks his eyes with yours, "You'd be doing me a fucking favor."
You blink, breaking your stare on his eyes and you sigh, "If you didn't then who did?"
"That's not a discussion we need to have right now. We already wasted enough time. We have to get back out there." Colby grabs the box and walks over to shut the drawer.
You stare down at the floor, gun still in hand.
"Here." Colby extends his arm out, putting the picture of your mom and dad in your line of sight, "Take it." You take the picture from his hand, staring at it for a few seconds.
"We'll talk in the car, okay?" He grabs your face, tilting your head up so you look at him, "I promise."
You nod, with a sigh, "Fine." Colby takes the gun from your hand and tucks it into the back of his pants, pulling his shirt down over to hide it.
You put the picture, along with the box he gave you, and shove them into your purse before zipping it closed.
He wipes the stray tears from your cheeks and sighs, "Let's just go out there. Pretend like you don't hate my fucking guys, and then we'll leave."
You nod, "yeah."
Your mind is still racing a mile a minute as Colby leads you from the room, your hand in his. All of the thoughts you've continued to push away, not think about for the last three years all come to the surface and you feel like you could puke.
"Colby I-i don't.. I don't feel good."
He stops, turning to you, a look of concern washing over his face, "Okay. Um." He looks around, "I think the bathrooms are this way."
He looks back at you, "You know I didn't do this."
"Now's not the time Colby." You close your eyes, talking yourself into not throwing up all over the floor.
He sighs, "Yeah, yeah. Come on. This way." He interlocks his fingers with yours, and leads you down the hallway you came in.
He peaks through the window, ducking down when someone walks by. He stands back up, "alright, quickly." He opens the door, slipping both you and him out and walking along the wall back towards the hall with the bathrooms.
You walk in, closing the door behind you and you walk to the sink, taking a deep breath to try and calm your panting, "fuck." You whisper as you look at yourself in the mirror.
You wipe away the mascara that lays under your eyes and you take a slow breath, breathing out slowly.
You stand up, smoothing out your dress as you debate on whether or not you're going to puke.
Yep.
You run into the stall, bending down to heave into the toilet. You sit up, pressing the button to flush and you rest your back against the wall.
You honestly feel like you're spinning with all of the thoughts running ramped through your head.
And for some reason, you believed Colby.
You stand up. Washing your hands and fixing yourself up before making your way back out. Colby pushes himself off the wall, "You okay?"
You nod, "mhm."
"Come on, y/n. You can't just-"
"God, can you stop saying that I can't hate you forever? Can you literally, for two fucking seconds understand that I maybe hate you for a reason?" You look at him, hands slapping your thighs, "I don't trust you."
"Why? Because I showed up to the casino a lot drunker than I felt and what.. disrespected you by calling out your father for doing something that you know damn well he did." Colby walks up to you, "I know you're in the business a lot more than you lead on. I know you run it when he's away on some other fucking god forsaken business."
"You don't know nothing." You shake hour head, "You're an arrogant, fucking asshole who thinks everyone owes you something but new flash, Colby. I don't owe you shit."
"You're right. You don't. You don't owe me anything, y/n. You're a spoiled, fucking brat who thinks everyone needs to give you something well guess what."
"What."
"I'm done trying to get on your good side."
"Why were you even trying when you knew it wouldn't work."
He shakes his head, "Doesn't matter anymore. You want me out of your life. Fine. Easy. Done."
You suddenly feel like something was being ripped away from you, but you don't know why.
"Colby- I-I-"
Next thing you know, Colby has you pushed up against the wall and his lips are on yours and you're frozen in shock, but to your surprise, you actually kiss back.
He pulls away and looks over, "Sorry. Just two newly engaged people who can't keep their hands off of each other." Colby chuckles and you look over, smiling at the older couple who are standing there.
They laugh and the lady nods with a smile, "Oh to be young again."
The gentleman nods, "yeah, but with the right person, you'll always feel like you're a teenager." He leans in, "Why do you think we're sneaking away." The older man nudges Colby with a wink before he follows the lady into the bathroom.
Your mouth drops as you look over to Colby and for a moment, it felt like you weren't just going at each other's throats.
"Oh my god." Colby laughs and sighs, eyes scanning over your face. You look from his eyes to his lips as your breathing picks up.
That kiss did something for you.
"I'll drop you off at home." Colby steps back, fixing his shirt before looking back at you, "if you're ready."
You nod, "Yeah. Yeah." You walk out with him, taking his hand into yours as you walk to the bar, pretending like you're a happy engaged couple.
"Hey Sam, we'll see ya." Colby knocks on the bar and Sam pouts, "Leaving so soon?" Colby sighs, "Yeah, lady isn't feeling too good."
"Oh yeah, put the blame on me." You cover up your angry tone with a laugh and a smile and Sam smiles, "Have a good night you two."
"We're definitely going to try." Colby smiles and leads you out to the valet, "Brock. Audi." The valet attendant nods before going to fetch the car.
You stand there, wrapping your arms around yourself as you take in everything that just happened.
Stealing from what seemed like very powerful people.
Colby's burst of anger.
Finding a picture of your parents in said couples house.
Colby kissing you, and to top it off, you actually didn't mind the kiss. You didn't feel repulsed by it like you normally did.
The car rolls up and the attendant gets out, "Have a good night guys."
"Thanks." You both mumble and walk down to the car. Colby still opens your door for you, still avoiding eye contact just like you.
He walks around to get in and buckles up before driving off. It's quiet for a few moments until you notice Colby take the wrong turn, "Where- Colby this is the wrong way."
He says nothing.
"Colby." You stare at him, "Where are we going?"
"Some place safe for right now."
"Some place sa-" you sigh, leaning back into your seat, "Where? Where is it that we'll be safe?"
"Would you fucking relax." He sighs, "You act like I'm such a bad fucking guy when you really don't know me at all." He glances over at you and back to the road.
You stay silent. Keeping your eyes on the headlight filled road in front of you. Thinking, maybe you were trying to hide something that you can't admit to.
Maybe there was actually no hatred towards him and you were just protecting yourself?
He pulls into an empty and secluded parking lot and puts the car in park. He stares at the wheel for a few moments before he breaks the silence with a sigh, "I didn't kill your mother, y/n."
Your eyes burn as the tears form a gloss over your eyes, continuing to stare out the windshield.
"But I was there when she died."
Your head snaps to him, your words choked, "W-wh-at?"
"You might not believe me, and that's okay. But I just need you to know that you're not as safe as you think you are." Colby runs a hand over his face and he sighs, "The night.." he sighs again, "Fuck. Okay."
"Just tell me." You turn toward him, staring at him as he finds the will to form the words, "Your father.."
"No." You shake your head, blinking once so the tears uncloud your vision, "Don't."
"Y/n. I'm telling the truth." Colby turns towards you, "I was working security for the Montgomery's. At one of these parties." He swallows, "and I knew exactly who they were the moment I saw your father."
"Are you.. are you in the business, too?" You sniffle and he shrugs, "Yes and no. I don't push anything, or deal with it first hand. I mainly do high class security when deals are being made."
"And my parents were.." you sniffle, "What? There to make a deal?"
He nods, "Well, more your father than anything. I was escorting them back to one of the rooms we passed and I stayed outside, listening in to make sure nothing went south.. but when I heard the gun shot.." he shakes his head, voice quiet, "It was too late."
"Your father was holding the gun that was fired and your mother was-"
"Don't. I don't need the details about her." You shake your head, "Not right now."
He nods, "I was threatened with my life."
"By my father."
"Yes. And Oliver. He was there, too." He pauses, "Eloise has no knowledge of it, from what I understand. She's always liked me. Knew me since I was a kid somehow."
You stare at the steering wheel, speechless.
"They covered it up. Said the place got robbed and your mother was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
"Oh my god." You whisper, covering your face with your hands, "Oh my god."
"I'm sorry. I should have told you sooner I ju-"
"Why didn't you?" You look at him, "Seriously? Why couldn't you have just fucking told me you needed to talk to me about something important."
He scoffs, "As a matter of fucking fact, y/n. I tried. Two, three nights ago whatever. At the casino. I told you that you were going to regret not speaking with me."
"So this is my fault?" You scoff and laugh, "Of fucking course."
"That's not- no. We're not playing that asinine blame game, okay?" He sighs, "I'm here because I don't want to see you end up the same way as your mother."
"Maybe it's for the best." You shake your head and Colby lays a hand on your leg, "Don't you ever say that."
You laugh, "Why not? At this point I just ruin or lose everything I have. My own father has been lying to me. I've made a fool out of myself defending him time and time again when I really should have been, what? Running from him." You yell slightly louder, "Fuck, why am I so fucking stupid?"
"You're not stupid, you just-"
You cut Colby off, "I don't need you to fucking tell me what I did, do, need, or want. Okay?" You slam your back against the seat, "Just take me home so I can be alone."
He doesn't fight. He doesn't say another word. He just puts the car and drive and takes you home.
"Can you just please not say anything. I was told if I ever told you.."
"He'd kill you, too. Right?" You sigh, "What the fuck."
"I know it's a lot, but I'm not asking for me." Colby puts the car and park and you look at him, "What is the other reason? If you're not asking for you then who?"
He's quiet for a few moments before looking at you. You stare at him and he leans over, grabbing the back of your neck and pulling you in to close the space with your lips on his.
You lay a hand on his cheek, kissing back.
In that moment, you fully understand why he did everything that made you hate him.
He leans back, brushing your cheek with his thumb as he looks at you, "You have no idea how much I actually care about you."
You're at a loss for words, again. Seems like the ongoing theme of the night.
"Now come on. We have to take this to your dad." He goes to get out but you stop him, "Was this box my mom's?"
Colby shrugs, "I think, but I'm not fully sure."
You nod, "Okay." You take a deep breath, bringing down the visor to look in the mirror.
"You still look beautiful."
You look over at Colby and he smiles slightly. You press your lips together, giving him a small smile, "Alright, let's go deliver this to my liar of a father."
Colby fears that you'll step out of line, and quite frankly, he wasn't that far off.
You wanted to freak out.
Throw the box at his head.
Scream at him and ask him why he killed your mother.
You wanted to end him like he ended your mother, but you couldn't do that.
Not yet at least.
"Evening, how was the party." Rio asks as he opens the front door. You nod, "It was definitely a party." You walk in, Colby following behind you as he nods to Rio.
"Y/n. My darling daughter. I see you're back early." Your father yells from his office. Colby lays a hand on your lower back, assuring you as you walk towards the room.
You put on a facade, pretending like your life didn't just change in a measly two, three hours.
"Yeah, wasn't really that lively actually." You walk in, sitting down in the chair and Colby sits in the one next to you.
Your father looks between the two of you, eagerly awaiting the delivery, "Well? Did you happen to get in?"
You unzip your purse, setting Colby on high alert for a possible shoot out, but you take out just the box, "This is the one correct?"
Your father's eyes gleam with excitement, "It sure is." He stands up, leaning forward to snatch it from your hands without a simple thank you.
"What's so special about it, dad?" You zip your purse back, even though you're very tempted to aim the gun at your dad this time.
"It's a family heirloom that I've been dying to get my hands on." He wipes it off with a soft rag, "Your great, great grandmother owned this and I remember my father telling me that I needed to get it back."
Lies, lies and more lies.
"Oh really?" You raise your eyebrows and Colby's eyes move nervously between you and your father.
"Yes, really. Would I lie to you, my darling daughter?"
Yes.
"No." You smile, "you're right." You stand up, "If it's okay, I would like to speak with Colby upstairs. Thank him for inviting me to go with him."
Your father waves you off, eyes glued to the box, "Yeah, sure. That's fine." He looks up and points to Colby, "No funny business in my house."
Colby nods, "You don't have to worry about that sir, she still hates my guts." They laugh and your father goes back to wiping the box as you lead Colby up the steps.
"Where are you going?" Rio asks, making you stop on the stairs. You turn around, "I want to talk to Colby for a second. Dad said it was fine."
Rio nods and goes into the office and you hear the door close.
"Everyone has to know everything." You huff and lift your dress up. Colby holds the train of it up as you make your way up the rest of the steps.
You walk into your room and pull Colby in, closing the door behind him. You turn and start whispering, "I want to leave."
He lowers his voice, "Leave? What do you mean leave?" You walk over, pulling a suit case out from under your bed, "Leave. Colby."
"Y/n. I don't think-"
"You said I wasn't safe. I sure as hell don't feel safe here anymore." Your eyes move from him to the floor as you stop yourself from admitting something you fought so hard to keep hidden.
"Where are you going to go, y/n?" He walks over to you, stopping you from throwing stuff into the case, "Talk to me."
"No because you're just going to try and talk me out of it and I've made up my mind." You stay focused on throwing stuff into your case, "I can't.." your voice breaks and you sigh, "I can't stay here.. the only place.." you shake your head, stepping back as you grab a few more essential items.
"The only place what, y/n?" He watches as you keep packing, ignoring him. He walks up to you, making you look at him, "I know, okay. I know that the only place that you ever felt safe in isn't safe anymore and you need to go, but you're no-"
You sigh, "No, Colby. The only place I've ever felt safe is when I'm around you, and I just have this feeling that after tonight-." You take a sharp breath, staring up at him as your body shakes under his touch.
You hated admitting that because you hated him - or did hate him, whatever, but regardless. You're not a vulnerable person. You never showed anyone if you were hurting, mad, nothing.
But with Colby, anytime he was around,  you've always had a weird sense of saftey.
He's taken aback by your words, "What?"
You push him away, "No I just-" you sigh, "we need to leave. We need to get out of here. Somewhere far. Somewhere far away from the monster that's downstairs holding the box that belonged to my mother."
You sit down on the bed, head in your hands as your mind continues to race about everything including where you're going to go.
"Okay." Colby nods and you look up at him. He swallows and sighs, "Where do you want to go?"
Your eyes fill with tears as the escape is right in front of you, "Anywhere."
He nods, "Alright. We'll go anywhere."
·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
"How do we get to the car without my dad or anyone seeing?" You lay a hand on your forehead as you pace back and fourth, "I just.. if he knows I'm leaving.." you sigh trying to calm yourself down, "I don't want to imagine what he'd do."
Colby points to the window, "Your room isn't far from the ground."
You laugh, "You want me to climb out the window?" He looks at you, "It's either this or risking the chance of-"
"Okay." You cut him off, slightly loud. You lower your voice, "Okay."
"Listen, y/n. I'm just trying to help."
You nod, your voice really low, "I know. I know." You glance at your suitcase, "I have enough money in my accounts.. we'll just have to stop at different atm's or something."
"Isn't there a way you can wire it or something so you don't have to waste anymore time?" Colby asks and you shrug, "I-I don't know." You zip your suitcase, "I just need to get out of here first."
He nods, "Okay. I'll leave, ya know." He walks towards the door, "I'll park down the street or something but I'll come back for you."
You nod, "Yeah, yeah. Good idea."
He stares at you, "We'll get you out of here. Okay."
"Okay." You watch as he leaves and everything suddenly hits you. You feel like you can't breathe. You feel like your body is going to give out from underneath you.
You never imagined your life flipping upside down this bad.
You never pictured having these feelings for Colby.
You're so thrown off, you feel like your head is spinning and now you really don't know what the right thing to do is.
You question everything.
Your dad.
Rio.
Oliver.
Why you were the one who needed to go with Colby. Why your father gave you no choice.
You felt sick. Weak. Almost distorted in a way.
Your phone ringing in your purse causes you to get up immediately. You unzip it, digging through to grab it, "Hello?"
"He wasn't in his office when I went by. I don't know where he is." Colby says on the other end of the line, "I'm circling back now, just watch for me out the window."
"Okay." You hang up and there's a knock on your door, "Y/n."
Your father's voice makes you tense up, fuck.
"Coming." You quickly and as quietly as possible, move your suitcase to back under your bed. You walk over to the door and open it.
"Colby leave already?" Your father asks walking into your room. You nod, "He did."
"That's a shame, I was going to have a congratulatory drink with him, you know as a thank you for getting me this back."
"You'll have to give him a call or something. He said he was heading home, I think." You cross your arms, chewing on your lip.
"I will. I just wanted to come up and thank you, too. I was astonished that you actually managed to get it and I just.." your father sighs and holds his arms out, "Your mother would have been so proud."
Your stomach twists at his words, "Yeah. She would have been."
Your father wraps his arms around you, kissing your head, "Alright. Get some sleep. You've earned it from my view of things."
You nod, "I plan on it."
He walks over to the door, "Oh and one more thing.."
"Yeah, dad?" You look up at him and he nods, "You have a right to feel the way you do about Colby. You don't know it now, but you will."
"What do you mean?" You tilt your head, "What did he do?" Your father sighs, "He's been caught up into some pretty bad ordeals. But that's something we'll have to talk about later on." He taps the door, "Goodnight."
You close the door behind him as he leaves, instantly starting to hyperventilate, "What the fuck?" You whisper, "What the fucking fuck."
You ball your fists up, gently tapping them on your forehead, "Fuck. Okay." You walk over to the window, looking out to see Colby round the corner of the house.
He motions for you to throw your suitcase down and you nod, hesitating to pull it from under your bed as what your father said swings around in your head.
He's a liar, you remind yourself, you can't trust him.
You grab your case, moving it over and sitting it on the window as you push the pane open. You ease it down as far as you can lean out and drop it.
Colby catches it, setting it down before he looks up at you, motioning for you to come down next.
You swing your leg over, feeling for a ledge before you swing your other leg over. Your dress gets caught on the window and you loose your footing, falling backwards.
You let out a scream as you fall, landing not on the grass, but in Colby's arms, "Hey, you okay?"
You look around, breathing heavy, "I think."
He moves you to your feet, "Come on." He grabs your hand leading you around the house and down through the tree that surround your house.
"Hang.. Colby.." you pull his hand, making him stop, "Hang on." You bend down, undoing your heels that are stuck in the earth, "Come on. Come on."
"Here." Colby bends down, bringing out a knife from his pocket and cutting the straps around your ankles, "Come on." He takes your hand again, pulling you along as he leads you to his car.
He opens the door, looking around as you climb in. He shuts it, quickly making his way around and gets in and starts driving.
You rest your head against the headrest, letting out a long sigh and he glances over at you, "Where to?"
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
After grabbing your cash from the last atm, you get back into the car and Colby looks at you, "There's a hotel about an hour away from here."
Those are the first words spoken in two hours.
You nod, "okay." You look out the window, your adrenaline winding down as you watch the darkness pass.
"Colby." You keep your eyes out the window, "My dad warned me about you tonight."
"Warned you?" He laughs slightly, "When?"
"Right before you came to the window." You turn your head, looking over at him, "He said I have a right to feel the way I do about you, said you've been in some pretty bad stuff."
Colby shakes his head, gripping the wheel tighter, "He was trying to get you to turn against me."
"But why?"
He shakes his head, “Not the time.”
“Stop the car.”
“What?” He looks over at you then back to the road with a laugh, “I’m not stopping this fucking car.”
“Colby.” You warn, “I’m serious.”
“About what?”
“If you won’t tell me then stop the car.” You reach for the handle, “I’ll tuck and roll, I don’t care.”
“No, y/n. It’s in the middle of -“
“Stop the fucking car!”
He jams on the breaks, causing you to fly as forward as the seatbelt lets you before locking. You unbuckle, winging it off of you with a loud crack to the tinted window.
“Hey, come on no-“
You get out, slamming the door shut. You turn, starting to walk away when you hear Colby get out, “Y/n. Come on. It’s freezing.”
You continue to ignore him, your bare feet carrying you down the road.
“I didn’t want you to end up like your mother.”
You stop, continuing to stare out into the faintly tail lit darkness.
“The reason your father warned you of me..” he tells out to you, “..Is because I told him I would do anything to protect you.”
You shake your head, tears filling your eyes, “Why didn’t you tell me?” You yell looking down at the ground, “Why couldn’t you have just-“ you groan turning around.
His eyes follow you as you walk up to him. You push him back against his car, yelling as you hit his chest, “why.. didn’t.. you.. just.. fucking.. tell.. me!?”
You step back, putting your hands on your head, “What the fuck is happening?”
“I know, I fucked up. I should have just told you everything the moment it happened.”
“You’re fucking right you should have.” Anger dripping off your words, “That’s my mother we’re talking about Colby.. I-I-“
“I know.” He cuts you off slightly loud, “I know, and I’m sorry. If there was anything I could do to change it for you I would.” He steps towards you, “In a heartbeat, y/n.”
Your anger softens, turning into a bittersweet feeling.
You wanted to be mad, but with how much Colby actually cares about you, it’s hard to be angry with him.
He walks up to you, “I should have told you. But at the same time, I didn’t know what I would be getting you into and I just..” he shrugs, “I just couldn’t risk it.”
“Why?” You look up at him, wanting to hear what he had to say.
“What do you mean why?” He laughs slightly, “I think that everything I did just proves it.”
“I want to hear you say it.” You keep your eyes locked on his and his eyes move between yours, “You know why.”
“I want to hear you say. It.”
“Get in the car.” He nods towards the parked car and you laugh slightly, “No. not until you say it.”
“Why do you have to do this?”
“Do what, Colby?”
“Be so fucking stubborn.”
You laugh, “Yeah, because I’m the one who isn’t just coming out to say-“ you stop, looking back at him and he smirks, “Saying… what? Saying what y/n. Go one. Tell the class.”
You roll your eyes as his sarcasm, “You know what. I think you know.”
“Do I?”
You shake your head, “I’m not doing this.” You go to walk away but Colby grabs your arm, “I care about you.” He pulls you into him, looking down at you as you stare up at him, “I think you know that.”
He brushes hair from your face, “I think you know that you want me under your skin.” His hand drags up your goosebump ridden arm, “I think you know that you’re capable of doing more than just tolerating me.”
You swallow, looking down but he lifts your chin, “I think you know that I love you, and you’re just too scared to admit you feel the same for me.”
You say nothing, eyes focused on his lips as they move when he speaks, “You shouldn’t be scared.”
“I’m not scared.” You say quickly, taking a deep breath through your nose and sighing, “I don’t know what you want me to say.”
“You don’t have to say anything, the fact that you haven’t pulled away from me or gave me attitude says it all, darling.” He slides his hand up to your neck squeezing slowly as he gently pushes you against the car.
You’ve never been turned on quicker in your life.
“What do you want, Colby?” You asked, forcing a slightly annoyed tone.
He chuckles, leaning in to gently plant little kisses on your neck, “You.”
Your eyes roll closed and you sigh, “Take me.”
His hand moves to turn your head, crashing his lips into yours and your arms wrap around his neck, moaning quietly as his hands work to pull your dress up.
“About fucking time.” He mumbles against your lips as he moves your hands to hold your dress up.
“Don’t ruin it.” You breathe out in a slight laugh. You hold your dress up, watching Colby drop to his knees for you in the dim lighting.
“You have no idea..” he kisses up your leg, “How many times I’ve thought about this.” He kisses up your thigh, “Thought about you.”
You pull your bottom lip between your teeth, waiting for Colby to pull your panties completely off. You step out of them and he immediately throws one of your legs over his shoulder and leans in to make his fantasy come true.
You rest your head back on the car, moaning as you feel his tongue slip in and out of you. Nose bumping against your clit at the perfect times.
Your hand flies down, immediately gripping his hair and pulling, “Fuck Colby.” You gasp as you feel a finger slip in as his mouth moves to suck and nip at your clit that’s swelled with arousal, “s-shit.”
He looks up at you, finger moving in and out, “Don’t tell me you didn’t think about me being between these pretty little legs of yours.”
You arch your back as his fingers curls, pressing against that perfect spot, “I have.”
“That’s what I thought.” He chuckles before dipping his head back in, sucking on your clit as he adds another finger.
You grip the open door, pushing his head in with your other hand, “f-fuck. Yes, yes right there.” He thrusts his fingers a little faster, yet still making sure to stroke that little spot that’s about to send you over the edge.
You let out a loud moan, pulling his hair as you clench around his fingers. Orgasm taking over in the fullest force it can.
Panting as you feel him pull his fingers out, you look down at him. He smirks and brings his fingers to his mouth, sucking them clean as he maintains the strongest eye contact, “So fucking good.”
He stands up, crashing his lips onto yours so you can taste yourself. He swallows your moans like they’re nothing. Biting down on your bottom lip and tilting his head back.
You let out a whimper as he lets it go and he opens the back door, “Get in.”
You don’t hesitate. You move and get in, sitting down at you face him with one leg on the seat, other one down with your foot on the floor.
Dress still around your waist.
“You’re fucking unbelievable.” He undoes his belt, zipping coming down with such ease, “You know that?”
Your teeth hang onto your lip as you nod, “Mhm.”
Colby chuckles as he crawls into the car, body hovering over yours, “Tell me.”
“Tell you what?” You ask innocently and he chuckles, shaking his head, “You are such a brat.” He leans down to kiss you, pushing your leg open more and hooking it over his arm. He pushes his cock into you, both moaning and he sighs, “I fucking love it.”
His lips are on yours as he gives you absolutely no time to adjust to him. He pulls out, slamming back in and you moan louder than you have so far. Your fingers slip under the loose collar of his shirt and your nails dig into his skin, “C-Colby.”
You already feel like you could cum again, your body twitching as his cock slams into you, getting immense pleasure with each thrust.
His hand slides up, lying on your neck to squeeze, you let out a squeaked moan as your body arches. Your legs locking around him as he fucks you through orgasm number two.
“That’s it.” Colby moans lowly into your ear, “That’s my fucking girl.”
You let out a strangled whine, clinging to him as your hand tugs the hair that’s intertwined around your fingers, “S-shit.” You gasp, moving your head to kiss him.
He lets go of your throat and your lips move roughly against one another, and he pulls away, “Where do you want me?”
Heat of the moment you may say, but you waste no time, “In me.”
“Fuck.” Colby groans, and you feel his cock twitch. That was enough for him. He coats your walls, holding onto you in anyway he can as he moans against your neck, leaving a dark mark before pulling away with a sigh, “You were made for me.”
You smile, chest still rising and falling at a great speed, “sure I was.” You lay a hand on his cheek and your eyes move over his face.
“You mean, I sure was. Right?” He asks with a smirk and you just smile up at him.
You wanted to apologize for being such a bitch to him, but headlights in the distance cut it short and you’re both scrambling to get back upfront.
Colby slams the back door and gets in, quickly driving off as soon as his door is shut.
The car passes and you let out a laugh that gets Colby to laugh. After a few moments of laughing about what just happened, you let out a sigh, “I still hate you.”
“I’m sure you do.” His hand sneaks under yours, holding onto your leg as your rests on top, “You can prove just how much you hate me when we get to the hotel.”

Also, in the cover for this. I know I have a picture of a couple on a bike - I totally forgot about that and made him have a car instead. I realized after I wrote it, so just ignore that. I might go back in later and fix it. I just wanted to get it out for you all. Sorry!!

Colby zipped up his bag, slinging it over his shoulder as Y/N stood by the front door, leaning against the frame. His departure felt heavier than usual; maybe it was the nerves gnawing at her gut, or maybe it was the slight unease she felt about being left alone with Sam for the weekend. Colby, her best friend and roommate, had always been her safe place in the chaos that was their shared apartment.
"You sure you're going to be okay while I'm gone?" Colby asked, his usual easygoing smile softening with concern.
"Yeah, I'll be fine," Y/N reassured him, though she wasn't sure she fully believed it. Between Mason’s growing jealousy and the constant friction with Sam, things hadn’t exactly been peaceful lately.
Just as Colby pulled her into a hug, her phone vibrated in her pocket. She glanced at the screen: Mason. She ignored the call, deciding to focus on saying goodbye to Colby.
"Call me if anything happens, okay?" Colby added as he opened the door, giving her one last look.
"I will. Have fun," she replied with a forced smile, watching him walk down the hallway. The door clicked shut, leaving an empty silence behind.
With a sigh, Y/N pulled out her phone and hit the call-back button. The phone barely rang twice before Mason picked up, his voice already laced with irritation.
“Why didn’t you pick up the first time I called?” Mason demanded.
“I was saying goodbye to Colby, he’s leaving town for the weekend,” Y/N explained, trying to keep her voice calm, but she could feel the tension already creeping in.
“You didn’t even think to check your phone? What if it was important?” he snapped.
Y/N’s heart sank. “Mason, it was literally two minutes. I’m calling you back now, aren’t I?”
“I’m sick of this, Y/N. Every time I call, it’s like you’ve got something better to do. I bet if it were Colby calling, you’d answer immediately!”
Her throat tightened as the familiar feeling of frustration bubbled up. "Why are you making this about Colby? He’s my best friend, you know that.”
"Yeah, well, it sure feels like he's more important than me sometimes," Mason spat. "And don't even get me started on the fact that you live with Sam. I don't like it, Y/N. I don’t like it at all."
As his voice grew louder, Y/N felt the tears start to well up in her eyes. Her fingers clenched around the phone as she struggled to hold back the sob that threatened to escape. She was used to these arguments, but today it was hitting harder than usual.
Just as she started to reply, the door to the living room creaked open, and Sam strolled in, glancing at her tear-streaked face. His usual smirk flickered, and he raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Why the hell are you crying now?” Sam remarked, his voice dripping with sarcasm but lacking its usual bite. He had noticed something was wrong, but his defenses kicked in, hiding the small amount of concern he actually felt.
Mason, hearing Sam’s voice through the phone, erupted. “Is that Sam? He’s in your room right now? What the hell, Y/N?! I told you I didn’t want him around!”
Y/N could barely get a word in. “Mason, I—”
“I swear to God, Y/N if I find out you’ve been hanging out with him—”
“Nothing’s happening!” she shouted back, her voice cracking under the strain. "He's just—he’s just being a jerk like always, alright? Calm down."
Sam watched her, his expression unreadable, but something in his eyes softened ever so slightly. He didn’t like Mason; he never had. It wasn’t just because of the constant fights Y/N had to endure. It was because Mason had a way of making her feel small, and even though Sam pretended to hate her, seeing her this upset bothered him more than he’d admit.
“Don’t cry over that loser,” Sam muttered under his breath, more to himself than to her.
But Mason heard him. “What did he just say?!” Mason roared through the phone, his voice practically shaking with rage.
Y/N winced, feeling the pressure closing in on all sides. “Mason, please—”
“I’m done talking to you right now, Y/N. Figure out your priorities. Call me when you do.” He hung up without waiting for her to respond.
The silence that followed was deafening. Y/N dropped the phone onto the couch, rubbing her temples as the tears finally spilled over.
Sam shifted uncomfortably, his sarcastic façade faltering. He wasn’t great with feelings, especially hers, but even he couldn’t ignore the mess Mason had left in his wake. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly before sitting down on the arm of the couch.
“Look… not that I care,” he began, his voice still carrying a hint of his usual attitude, “but Mason’s a real piece of work. Why are you with him again?”
Y/N shot him a glare through her tears. “Not the time, Sam.”
He raised his hands in mock surrender. “Hey, I’m just saying. If the guy makes you cry this much, maybe he’s not worth it.”
She opened her mouth to snap back, but the fight left her before she could get the words out. Instead, she sighed, wiping her face. “You wouldn’t get it.”
Sam shrugged. “Maybe not. But I’m still right.”
A few hours later, Y/N and Sam stood on opposite sides of the living room, getting ready to head to the party they’d both been invited to. Colby had suggested they go together, knowing that Y/N wouldn’t want to stay cooped up in the apartment all weekend, and Sam had reluctantly agreed, though it meant having to spend time with her.
“You sure you’re not gonna break down and cry again?” Sam asked as they walked toward the front door, his voice dripping with his usual sarcasm.
Y/N rolled her eyes. “Are you sure you’re not going to make a complete ass of yourself, like usual?”
“Not making any promises,” he shot back with a smirk.
They both left the apartment, bickering the entire way to the party. Despite the friction, Y/N found that the sharpness in their exchanges felt oddly… familiar. Almost like a distraction from everything that had happened earlier. A distraction she welcomed, even if it came from Sam.
When they arrived at the house, the music was blaring, and people were already spilling out onto the lawn. Y/N glanced around nervously, hoping she wouldn’t run into Mason, or worse, see him with someone else.
Sam caught her hesitation and nudged her with his elbow. “Relax. You’re not here for him. You’re here to have a good time.”
She gave him a skeptical look. “Since when do you care if I have a good time?”
He shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets. “I don’t. But I don’t want you crying all over me again either.”
Y/N laughed despite herself, shaking her head. “You’re insufferable, you know that?”
“And you’re predictable,” he shot back, though the edges of his smirk softened into something almost… friendly.
For the rest of the night, they kept up their usual banter, but underneath it, there was something different. Maybe it was the shared experience of the earlier fight, or maybe it was just that for once, they weren’t completely at odds. Whatever it was, Y/N found herself oddly grateful for Sam’s presence.
The party buzzed around them, people dancing, laughing, and shouting over the loud music. Y/N stuck close to the kitchen, clutching a drink Sam had poured for her. She wasn't drinking to get drunk—just enough to dull the edge of everything that had happened earlier with Mason.
Sam, as always, stood nearby, throwing casual insults her way, though they seemed to have lost some of their sharpness. He’d made it clear he wasn’t here to babysit her, but there was no denying he kept an eye on her. Despite their banter, the night had almost settled into something tolerable—until Y/N spotted Mason.
Her heart sank, her stomach twisting in knots as she saw him across the room. He was with some of his friends, holding a drink and talking like nothing had happened. His eyes flickered toward her, and for a moment, their gazes locked. Then his expression darkened.
Here we go.
Mason made his way toward her, his strides purposeful, and before she could brace herself, he was standing in front of her. His eyes scanned her face before flicking to Sam, who was only a few feet away.
"Seriously? You're here with him?" Mason growled, his voice low but seething with anger.
Y/N tensed, glancing at Sam, who had immediately noticed Mason's approach and was now watching with a carefully neutral expression.
"It’s a party, Mason. Colby’s out of town, and Sam—"
"Sam what?" Mason interrupted, his voice rising now, attracting some attention from people nearby. "You think it’s cool to just show up here with him after what happened earlier? Are you trying to piss me off?"
Y/N felt the heat rising in her chest. She hadn’t done anything wrong. Mason had no right to be angry, not after the way he’d spoken to her earlier. “I’m not trying to do anything, Mason. I came here to have a good time, just like everyone else.”
"With Sam," Mason spat, venom dripping from his words.
"Yeah, with Sam!" Y/N snapped back, unable to hold it in any longer. "Because you weren’t exactly being supportive, were you? You don’t get to tell me who I can hang out with, especially when all you do is yell at me.”
Sam raised an eyebrow but stayed silent, letting the fight unfold without interjecting—though Y/N could tell by the way his jaw tightened that he was ready to step in if things escalated further.
"Y/N, you’re unbelievable," Mason growled, his voice now loud enough to draw stares from people around them. "First Colby, now Sam? Are you trying to make me look like an idiot?"
"You're doing a great job of that all by yourself," Y/N shot back, feeling her hands clench into fists. "Stop making this about them. This is about us, Mason. You’re jealous of everyone and everything, and I’m tired of it!"
Sam shifted his weight beside her as if getting ready for whatever might come next. Mason, his face red with frustration, took a step toward her, his fists clenched at his sides.
"You know what? I don’t have to deal with this," Mason finally snapped, throwing his drink down. “You’re impossible.”
"Good. Walk away," Y/N said bitterly, her voice shaky but firm. "It’s what you’re good at."
Mason glared at her for a moment, his eyes filled with rage, before he turned sharply on his heel and stormed off, shoving his way through the crowd.
Y/N stood frozen for a second, her chest heaving as she tried to calm down. The loud music seemed distant as the argument replayed in her head. It wasn’t like she hadn’t fought with Mason before, but this time… this time felt different.
"You good?" Sam’s voice cut through the noise, and she realized he had moved closer, his face unreadable.
She nodded, though her heart still pounded in her chest. “Yeah. Just… need a minute.”
He gave her a long look before shrugging. “Take your time. I’ll be around.”
Y/N watched as Sam moved back toward the kitchen, his usual snarky demeanor softened. She sighed and took a sip of her drink, the bitter liquid doing nothing to ease the tension in her body. She stayed near the edge of the room, trying to shake off the fight with Mason, but her mind was still buzzing.
As the night wore on, she couldn’t help but glance around the party, wondering where Mason had disappeared. She wasn’t looking for another confrontation—if anything, she was hoping he’d just left.
Eventually, Y/N felt the need to step away from the crowd and headed toward the back of the house to find the bathroom. She pushed through a small group of people gathered in the hallway, finally spotting the door to the bathroom. As she reached for the handle, she froze.
Through the thin door, she heard the unmistakable sound of someone inside. Giggling. Moaning.
Her stomach twisted, a sinking feeling washing over her. She hesitated for a second, but something inside her urged her to push the door open just a crack.
Her breath caught in her throat.
There, on the counter, was Mason—her Mason—his hands gripping the hips of another girl, his face buried against her neck as he moved against her. The sight was unmistakable. The sounds, the movements… it was real. All of it.
Y/N’s heart shattered in an instant. Her throat felt tight like she couldn’t breathe, and for a moment, she just stood there, paralyzed, watching the person she had spent so much of herself on completely betray her. The girl was too busy moaning Mason’s name to notice Y/N standing there, but Mason’s eyes suddenly flicked toward the door. They locked with hers, and for a split second, a flash of guilt crossed his face.
“Y/N—” he started, but she didn’t wait for an explanation. She slammed the door shut, her hands shaking violently.
Her breath came in shallow gasps as she stumbled back into the hallway, her mind reeling. She wanted to scream, cry, run—anything to get away from what she had just seen. But her body was frozen in shock.
She turned on her heel and moved as quickly as she could back through the party, her vision blurred with unshed tears. She needed to get out of there. She needed air.
She wasn’t sure how far she had gotten before someone grabbed her arm. Startled, she spun around to see Sam, his expression no longer snarky, no longer indifferent. His eyes were filled with concern.
“What the hell happened?” he asked, his voice low but serious. He had never seen her like this before.
Y/N opened her mouth to respond, but no words came. The tears finally spilled over, and she could feel herself breaking down.
Without thinking, she grabbed his hand. She didn’t care about their usual dynamic. She didn’t care about the fact that they were supposed to hate each other. Right now, she just needed someone.
Sam’s grip on Y/N’s arm tightened slightly, sensing that something had gone horribly wrong. He wasn’t used to seeing her like this—completely unraveling in front of him. His usual sarcastic remarks and biting comebacks evaporated, replaced with genuine concern.
“Y/N, hey,” he said softly, his voice losing its usual edge. “What the hell happened?”
She couldn’t answer. The words were stuck in her throat, tangled with the overwhelming weight of the betrayal she’d just witnessed. Her vision blurred, and before she could stop it, her knees buckled. Sam’s reflexes kicked in, and he caught her before she hit the ground, pulling her into him without hesitation.
His arms wrapped around her, firm but gentle, and for the first time in what felt like forever, Y/N didn’t care about keeping it together. She didn’t care that Sam was supposed to be her enemy, the guy who always seemed to delight in pushing her buttons. At that moment, all that mattered was that someone was there. Someone who, despite all the snark and sarcasm, was holding her together when she felt like falling apart.
Sam didn’t say anything at first, just held her tightly as she buried her face in his chest. He could feel her shaking, her breaths coming in short, uneven gasps. It was as if the weight of everything had finally crashed down on her, and Sam, despite his reputation for being emotionally distant, wasn’t going to let her fall.
After a few minutes, her sobs quieted, and her breathing steadied, though her grip on him remained tight. Sam gently rubbed her back, his touch uncharacteristically soft.
“Y/N,” he said quietly, his voice low and soothing. “What happened? Talk to me.”
Her throat felt raw, but she knew she had to say something. She slowly pulled back, though she couldn’t bring herself to fully let go. Her hands clung to his shirt, and she kept her head down, trying to gather the strength to explain.
“Mason,” she finally whispered, her voice hoarse. “I… I found him. He was with someone else… in the bathroom.”
The words hung in the air, and she could feel Sam tense beneath her. He didn’t say anything at first, but his jaw clenched, and his arms tightened around her just slightly, as if he could somehow shield her from the pain she was feeling.
Y/N wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, though the tears kept coming. “I… I walked in, Sam. I saw him—he was with some other girl. I don’t even know who she was. He just… he just looked at me like—like I was nothing.”
Her voice broke again, and she choked back another sob, but this time, Sam didn’t hesitate. He pulled her back into his chest, his hand coming up to cradle the back of her head as she cried against him.
“That piece of shit,” Sam muttered under his breath, though his anger wasn’t directed at her. “Y/N, I’m so sorry.”
Y/N’s breath hitched as she tried to calm herself down, but the pain was too raw, too fresh. “I don’t know what to do, Sam,” she whispered. “I—he just… how could he do that?”
Sam let out a deep breath, and for a moment, he just held her, his thumb gently stroking the back of her head. It was strange, this tenderness coming from him. It wasn’t something she’d ever expected. Yet here he was, being everything she needed in this moment—steady, quiet, and kind.
“You don’t have to do anything right now,” Sam said softly. “You don’t have to think about him, or what happens next. Just… just let yourself feel this. And I’m here, okay?”
His voice, usually full of sarcasm and sharp edges, was uncharacteristically soft. Y/N blinked up at him, her face still wet with tears, and for the first time that night, she felt the tiniest flicker of relief. Sam’s presence, so steady and solid, gave her something to cling to, something to keep her from drowning in her emotions.
“Why are you being so nice to me?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. “You’re supposed to hate me.”
Sam huffed out a quiet laugh, though there was no humor in it. “Yeah, well… maybe I’m not as much of an asshole as you think.”
Y/N couldn’t help but give a small, shaky smile through her tears. She leaned her head against his chest again, letting the steady beat of his heart calm her. Sam’s arms remained around her, not pulling away, not rushing her.
After a few moments of silence, Sam spoke again, his voice low and careful. “Look… I know we’ve had our differences—hell, we’ve spent more time fighting than anything else—but seeing you like this…” He paused, his hand gently resting on her back. “I don’t like seeing you hurt.”
Y/N looked up at him, surprised by the sincerity in his voice. His usual smirk was gone, replaced with something softer, something real. She hadn’t expected this from him, but maybe… maybe she’d misjudged him.
“Thanks,” she whispered, her voice still shaky, but there was warmth behind it. “For not being an asshole… just this once.”
Sam chuckled, his eyes glinting with a hint of his usual humor. “Don’t get used to it.”
She smiled, a real one this time, though it was small and fragile. For a moment, they just stood there, holding onto each other, the party continuing in the background as if nothing had changed. But for Y/N, everything felt different. The pain of Mason’s betrayal was still there, sharp and cutting, but Sam’s presence was like a balm, soothing the raw edges of her heart.
“Do you want to get out of here?” Sam asked after a while, his voice low but steady. “We don’t have to stay. I’ll take you home.”
Y/N nodded the idea of leaving this place—leaving the memory of what she’d just seen behind—feeling like the only thing that made sense. She didn’t want to be here anymore, surrounded by people and noise, while her heart ached.
“Yeah,” she whispered. “Let’s go.”
Sam pulled back slightly, just enough to take her hand, and led her toward the door. His grip was firm but gentle, and for the first time that night, Y/N felt like she wasn’t walking through this nightmare alone.
As they stepped outside into the cool night air, Y/N took a deep breath, the fresh air filling her lungs. The weight of what she’d seen, what she’d felt, was still there, but somehow, it didn’t feel quite as suffocating.
Sam walked beside her in silence for a few moments before he glanced over at her. “You okay?” he asked, his voice still soft.
Y/N nodded, her hand still holding onto his. “I will be.”
As they arrived back at the house, the cool night air had already started to settle into Y/N’s skin, but the weight of everything she’d seen and felt still clung to her like a heavy blanket. Sam was quiet beside her, unlocking the door and stepping aside to let her in first. The house was dimly lit, eerily quiet compared to the noise and chaos of the party they’d just left behind.
“Sit down on the couch,” Sam said gently, his voice steady but soft. “I’ll make you some tea.”
Y/N didn’t argue. She felt numb, her limbs heavy as she sank into the soft cushions of the couch, curling her legs underneath her. The exhaustion from the emotional rollercoaster she’d been on all night was starting to hit her, but she wasn’t sure she could sleep. The image of Mason with that other girl in the bathroom played on a loop in her mind, each time sending a fresh wave of pain through her chest.
In the kitchen, she could hear Sam moving around—grabbing mugs, and boiling water. It was strangely comforting, the way he moved with quiet purpose, no longer the sarcastic, distant guy she’d been at odds with for so long. This Sam, the one who was making her tea and keeping a close eye on her, was a side of him she hadn’t seen before. And despite everything, she was grateful for it.
A few minutes later, Sam returned with two mugs of steaming tea. He placed one gently in front of her on the coffee table and sat down next to her, not too close but close enough that she could feel the warmth of his presence.
He leaned back, his posture relaxed but his eyes watching her carefully. “Do you… want me to stay?” he asked after a pause, his voice low. “I can leave if you’d rather be alone.”
Y/N’s heart skipped at his offer, but the truth was, that the idea of being alone in this moment felt unbearable. She didn’t want to sit in the dark with nothing but her thoughts and the crushing weight of what had happened. She needed him here, even if she couldn’t fully explain why.
“Can you stay?” she asked quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.
Sam didn’t hesitate. “Yeah. I’ll stay.”
He shifted on the couch, getting more comfortable as he settled in beside her. They both sipped their tea in silence for a few minutes, the warm liquid soothing but not enough to numb the ache in her chest. She appreciated the quiet, the way Sam wasn’t trying to force conversation or make light of the situation. He was just there, and for once, that was exactly what she needed.
But the silence gave way to her thoughts, and before long, the flood of emotions became too much to hold in. Y/N set her tea down on the table and wrapped her arms around her knees, pulling them up to her chest. She could feel the tears starting to build again, the lump in her throat growing until she couldn’t swallow it down any longer.
And then, she broke.
The sobs came suddenly, shaking her whole body as she buried her face in her hands, her shoulders trembling with the force of it all. It felt like everything she’d been holding back since the moment she’d walked into that bathroom came crashing down, overwhelming her all at once.
Sam was quick to react, moving closer without hesitation. His arm wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her into him, his hand resting on her back as he gently guided her head to his chest.
“Hey, hey,” he murmured, his voice soft but steady. “It’s okay. Just let it out.”
Y/N clung to him, her fingers gripping the fabric of his shirt as the tears flowed freely. She couldn’t stop the sobs, couldn’t control the wave of emotions that came pouring out of her. Sam held her tightly, his presence solid and warm, his hand rubbing slow circles on her back in an attempt to calm her down.
“Shhh,” he whispered, his voice soothing as he leaned his head down slightly, his chin resting against the top of her head. “It’s gonna be alright, Y/N. I promise. You’re gonna be alright.”
His words, though simple, were like a lifeline, anchoring her in the storm of emotions swirling inside her. The steady rhythm of his voice, the way he held her without judgment or hesitation, made her feel safer than she had in hours.
“I don’t know how to do this,” she cried, her words muffled against his chest. “I don’t know how to deal with it. It hurts so much, Sam.”
“I know,” he said softly, his voice filled with quiet empathy. “I know it does. But you don’t have to deal with it all right now. You don’t have to figure everything out tonight.”
Y/N tightened her grip on him, her tears soaking through his shirt, but Sam didn’t seem to mind. He just held her closer, his hand never stopping its gentle movement on her back, his presence calm and unwavering.
“Everything’s gonna be okay,” he whispered again, his voice barely above a murmur. “I’m here. You’re not alone.”
Y/N’s sobs began to slow after a while, the tears still flowing but not as violently as before. She stayed in Sam’s arms, her face pressed against his chest, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breathing. It was soothing in a way she couldn’t explain, the way his heartbeat thumped against her cheek, grounding her in the moment.
After what felt like an eternity, Y/N finally pulled back slightly, her breath still coming in shaky gasps. Her eyes were red and swollen, her cheeks streaked with tears, but she could feel the weight of the breakdown starting to lift, even if just a little.
Sam’s hand came up to brush a strand of hair away from her face, his touch careful and gentle. His blue eyes, which usually held a teasing glint or an air of detachment, were filled with something softer, something real.
“Hey,” he said softly, his thumb brushing the corner of her eye, wiping away a stray tear. “You’re stronger than you think, you know that?”
Y/N sniffled, feeling another tear slip down her cheek. “I don’t feel strong.”
“You are,” Sam insisted, his voice firm but kind. “Look at everything you’ve been through tonight. And you’re still here, holding it together. That takes strength.”
She didn’t know what to say to that, so she just nodded, feeling the warmth of his words settle in her chest. For a moment, they just looked at each other, the room filled with a quiet understanding that neither of them had expected to find in each other.
And then, before she could second-guess it, Y/N leaned forward.
It was instinctual, a small, tentative movement, but Sam didn’t pull away. Instead, his hand gently cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing lightly against her skin as he leaned in to meet her halfway.
The kiss was soft—gentle, almost hesitant—but something was grounding in it. It wasn’t rushed or desperate; it was a quiet acknowledgment of everything they had shared that night. The warmth of his lips against hers was calming, reassuring, as if he was telling her, without words, that he was there, and he wasn’t going anywhere.
When they finally pulled apart, Y/N’s heart was still racing, but this time it wasn’t from the pain. She blinked up at Sam, her face still damp from the tears, but now there was a small, fragile smile on her lips.
Sam’s hand remained on her cheek for a moment longer, his thumb tracing slow, soothing circles on her skin. He didn’t say anything, but his eyes said enough—they were soft, filled with an understanding and care she hadn’t expected to find in him.
“You’re gonna be okay,” he whispered one last time, his voice steady and certain.
And for the first time that night, Y/N believed him.
