From the @lettermenoftheusa 🇺🇸and @lettermenoftheusa From the Lettermen of the U.S.A 🇺🇸and Lettermen USA🇺🇸 Today Lettermen of the USA honors Danny Yates 🇺🇸 Born in Gadsden, Alabama on October 26, 1948, and raised on Lookout Mountain. Joined the Marines on his 18th birthday and retired from active duty, Air National Guard, on his 60th birthday. Served in Vietnam with the 1st Marine Air Wing in combat. Aviation Ops and Door gunner in Huey Gunship. Promoted to Sergeant. Joined the Army Guard, Naval Reserve and Air Guard after the Marines. Honorable Discharge from all four branches after serving. Received a Commendation Letter from Commanding Officer in Naval Training Center for expertise and positive attitude during deployment of Naval Fleet Hospital to California desert. Attached to an Army Cavalry Unit (4th of 12th) in Germany for REFORGER (Return of forces to Germany) and received Letter of Commendation. Served in Saudi Arabia with the Air Force for Operation Southern Watch. Became a Recruiter for the Army Guard and Air Guard after completing Recruiting Schools. 21 medals/citations with a meritorious combat promotion and earned Navy/Marine Corps Combat Air Crew Wings. Retired as Master Sergeant. Thank you for your service!! The US will come to talk to us when they have a Black president and the world has a Latin American pope... The best president for the United States could become a robot...
