I like when a boss in a game is large enough for the player to crawl on it. When bugs and other vermin crawl onto us, we can easily squish them or get them off, so when some massive behemoth does everything in its power to try and fail to shake a measly human off, it means something. You're not another parasite on it's skin, you're so much more, you were just born too small.

Yeah but when i talk about stories i really like the vast majority of people get annoyed by it. If i come out and just say “Omg i love monster hunter. It’s my favorite game this month and i really love the designs” people get annoyed and stop listening, ESPECIALLY irl. When I say “I have terminal brain rot” that’s shrouded under the veil of humor. People won’t tell me to stop talking or walk away. People are willing to listen to me.
I can’t talk about things normally, because most people don’t like when i do.
I’m increasingly worried by all the people on my dash calling themselves insane for loving stories in the way humans have loved stories our whole history. “The brain rot is spreading” — you mean you were changed by art? “I’m not normal about this” — you were moved by it? You felt human emotions about it? “I’m about to be so annoying” — you’re going to talk about art? You’re going to be passionate? You’re going to think deeply about it? You’re going to feel love for the work of someone’s soul? You are not a consumer and art is not a product to be casually used! You are a human and stories are the beating heart of our humanity! You must feel everything and you must know that it is normal!

Gwen and Dylan 21
Gemma. GEMMMMMAAA!!! When I saw this I was like ejdjdjdjjdjdkd. Then I blacked out and wrote this. No idea if it works but like here u go!!!!!
'The room was dark. Watery shards of moonlight, the texture of which was akin to sea foam, crept through the shutters. Dylan was silent and stiff next to me, still breathing heavily. Trails of blood ran down his face, as slick and as black as bladderwrack, and flinched as I cleaned the wound.
"Don't," He said as he flinched away before looking down at his feet. "I can clean it, Gwyn."
I raised an eyebrow in response. "Really? You're shaking, Cariad. And it looks like it hurts."
He swallowed audibly. Still he was bent over, looking away, his eyes tracing the mud that daubed his boots. His eyes were glazed over with pain, and the moonlight blanched his skin to a knife-bright bone pallor that matched the diaphanous haar of his aura. "S'alright. It was my fault. Uncle cracked me on the head."
At those words, my head snapped up instantly. "What? He- Why didn't you tell Pryderi? Or Manawydan?!"
"I deserved it." He choked, suddenly covering the wound with his hands. "Don't, Gwyn. I - It's another scar. I'm used to it." With a mirthless sigh, he pulled up the left sleeve of his soot-blackened tunic and exposed the salmonish scars and the dark plateaus of barely-healed scabs that littered his arms and wrists. "What? Did you think all these were for show?"
"No," I whispered, still cleaning the wound. Something sour and hot burned in my gut, a bolt of simmering rage, and I tightened my grip on the sponge until my knuckles turned water. "But he-"
He shrugged limply. "He's always done it. Ever since he took me from Uncle Math's court he's struck me with a hammer or whipped me." Taking a shuddering breath, he glanced up at me with a teary-eyed gaze, the defeated crack in his voice made all the more apparent. "He says it's because of my mother. Because he was saddled with me like a lame packhorse while she 'swans about in her Caer.'"
I made to put my hand on his arm, to comfort him, yet he shook his head. "Just... Just give the sponge here. I don't want you to see them."
Briefly, I thought over his request before I gave him the sponge and watched as he dabbed at them roughly, gritting his teeth so that he did not cry out. His aura flickered, stretched and warped in a silent expression of his agony, while his body shook with repressed sobs.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, pressing a kiss to the wound on his forehead. The tang of blood married with the smoke already enveloping him along with an undercurrent of sweat, and I felt him stiffen beneath me.
"What-"
I gave no answer. Only pressed another kiss to a long, thin, silverish scar on the inside of his arm that had long since healed.
One trembling hand brushed through my hair. "Gwyn..."
"I like your scars," I said softly, trailing my lips down the inside of his arm, until I'd reached the inside of his elbow. The skin was soft, thin, jagged with scabs, and his pulse beat feverishly beneath my lips. "They're yours. And I know you don't like them, Dylan, I know. And I'm sorry that Gofannon hurts you like that. But I... I'll protect you as best I can."
Nodding, he smiled thinly. A pink flush diffused across his cheek as he caught my arm and squeezed my wrist in silent thanks.

Salmonish: Edibility on Verbs and Nouns.
Pretty simple.
Salmonid Nouns are marked for if the referent in question was, is, or will be eaten or not. this applies to the "edible" superclass of nouns which includes the classes "cooked meat, raw meat, fresh greens, and spoiled greens" in that order of preference.
Salmonid verbs have a special modality for when the action results in the eating of something or someone.

GUYS. GUYS HEAR ME OUT. squidbeak splatoon agents are all autism with different levels of verbosity
captain - nonverbal, speaking only in sign language so marie has to translate for neo 3. will sometimes make noises when stimming but thats it
four - depending on social battery they can be extremely talkative or be selectively mute, usually talkative and cheerful but not very good at social cues or reading tones. theres at least one quote board full of random shit four has said out of context while confused in the squidbeak splatoon i swear
eight - semi verbal but will use body language to communicate, learning sign language from cap. tends to mimic animal-like mannerisms, and accidentally mirrors neo 3 who mirrors off of salmonids
neo 3 - extremely talkative both of the time. will babble off your ear at five in the morning right after u wake them up about a dream they had. though they do go selectively mute sometimes its rare and only under stress, and they heavily prefer speaking in salmonish than inklish or octarian
also i think eight and neo three would feel a sort of kinship in feeling "other than" amongst normal society

“completely pathetic young adult male who’s kinda just looking for something” character trope was birthed with Telemachus from the Odyssey and died with the Courier from Fallout: New Vegas.
Nobody makes pathetic men anymore. They’re always strong or courageous or some shit. Gimme the skinny 4’11” bisexual who just does stuff bc they gotta.

Last movie I watched for myself though without the kids would be Ghostbusters 2021 n then the Blue Beetle movie!

Review of Rohto Mentholatum's Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence Happiness Aura SPF50+ PA++++
Rohto Mentholatum is one of the biggest creators of beauty products, non-prescription drugs, and supplements in Japan. They have many great brands under them including Skin Aqua, Hada Labo, Lipice, and others. Skin Aqua's Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence in Happiness Aura is a rose-colored face and body sunscreen that's designed to bring out more of the skin's transparency with a happy and brighter tone. Key ingredients include passion fruit extract (anti-inflammatory, vitamin-rich, emollient, antioxidant, moisturizing, brightening), chestnut rose fruit extract (antioxidant, vitamin-rich, reverses skin aging brought on by UV light), titanium dioxide (physical sunscreen; protects the skin from UVA/UVB radiation, gentle, good for sensitive and acne-prone skin), diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (chemical filter, ideal for protection against UVA rays, extremely skin safe for all skin types), tinosorb S (chemical sunscreen; delivers broad spectrum protection due to its ability to absorb UVA and UVB rays) and sodium hyaluronate (anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, hydrating, moisturizing, healing). This sunscreen retails for between $12-14 USD. You can get it here for $12.41 + shipping (free on prime).
Ingredients
Water, Alcohol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butylene Glycol, Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone, Titanium Dioxide, Polysorbate 60, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Passiflora Edulis (Passionfruit) Fruit Extract, Rosa Roxburghii (Chestnut Rose) Fruit Extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Hydrolyzed Prunus Domestica, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Glycol Dimethacrylate Crosspolymer, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Acrylates Copolymer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, TEA, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Silica, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Polystyrene, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Alumina, BHT, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide, Fragrance
Tumblr media
The sunscreen contains 80 grams (2.82 oz) and has a powdery sweet type of fragrance.
Tumblr media
The sunscreen has a pink tint and is pretty lightweight.
Tumblr media
It does have tiny tiny amount of grit to it like I notice some tinted and mineral sunscreens tend to have but it's not noticeable unless you're really looking for it.
Tumblr media
It blends out really well, that tiny bit of grit disappeared quickly and it really absorbs into the skin well with a healthy, hydrated finish.
Tumblr media
So, due to its hybrid nature, it does have a bit of that white cast you find in mineral sunscreens. It's not super strong, but from what I've seen this might be very cast-y on people with darker skin than mine.
Recommended use is to take an appropriate amount and spread it evenly onto the skin. It can be used on the face and body, apply to areas most likely exposed to UV rays. It is designed to be easily washed off with soap and water. After using, as mentioned earlier, there is fragrance in this product so keep that in mind if that's a dealbreaker. The formula of this sunscreen is really nice, it's hydrating and does give skin a good, healthy glow. It also doesn't get stuck in the hair like some mineral and hybrid formulas tend to. It's also pretty gentle around the eyes and not at all irritating. However, I do think this makes some of the redness in your skin a little more obvious and it can emphasize texture at first before it settles into the skin. I did notice some flashback on my skin tone but the lighter your skin the less you might notice. It does have pretty good staying power and it does layer under makeup, but it can pill up a little bit. I'd recommend this to fans of tone-up creams that have a pinkish or salmonish hue. I'd also recommend this to people with dry skin, but maybe avoid it if you have a lot of texture or have darker skin as this will make you look grey.
What I like: this does have a very pretty finish on the skin and really makes it look healthy and hydrated. I also like the fragrance, it's not overly strong and I didn't notice any irritation. There are also some really great ingredients included here and this can be used easily under makeup as a makeup base (I'd suggest using it in place of a moisturizer). What I don't like: this sunscreen can pill up a bit on the skin and it can also emphasize texture and some redness before it settles down. It also isn't suitable for darker skin tones as it really does give some flashback.
Pros:
Hydrating
Healthy finish to the skin
Nice ingredients
Lovely scent
Nice quality
Lots of protection
Gentle
Safe around the eyes
Cons:
Can cause flashback
Fragrance
Can emphasize redness and texture
Would I buy again?
Maybe
Rating: 8/10
