doxxing you suckers again

to this day I keep trying to make a model of the Milky Way that looks good both face-on, edge-on and from the inside. I've tried using volumetrics in Blender and even generating it in Godot but it was never quite right. This recent attempt uses a bunch of texture trickery and I think it's my most successful one yet, though it still needs some work to look good from every angle. Has kind of an early 2000s look to it too.

Also in all the previous attempts a bunch of other nearby galaxies were meticulously placed in their real-life positions but here I kinda just did it from memory lol. Everything here isn't 100% accurate since I'm going to use this in my series and I don't think it matters that much.

Personally very happy with how the last pic looks.
