Oh, I think I didn't ask my question correctly, I meant Bayezid son of Suleiman.
The fate of the daughters of Prince Bayezid is unclear. However, I did get a little information about Bayazid's daughters.
A book was written in 2019 by Mustafa Altun. The name of the book is Yüzyıl Dönümünde Bir Valide Sultan: Safiye Sultan'ın Hayatı ve Eserleri.
In the final part of the book, the list of rights of harem women is mentioned.
Hatice Sultan, the daughter of şehzade Bayazid, received salary in 1576. She was probably a widow at this time or had not married yet.
Ayşe Sultan, another daughter of Bayezid, is buried in Ayub Sultan.
The year of her death is hacked on the tombstone (1601). Ayşe Sultan's wife, Ghazanfar Pasha, is mentioned on the tombstone. I did not find any information about Bayezid's other daughter Mihrimah Sultan, I think Mihrimah was the second name of Hatice Sultan or Hanzade Sultan (Hanzade mihrimah sultan).
Another interesting point mentioned in this book is about Fatma Sultan, daughter of Salim II. Fatma received salary in 1582. However, we thought that he died in 1580.
I'm a little confused what do you think.
I think the harem documents give us more interesting information. They are more accurate.
Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t understand 😭
Thank you for telling us about this dissertation (it’s not a book). I found a couple of pictures of Safiye I had never seen before!
Now, moving on to Bayezid’s daughters. The author of the dissertation gave us a couple of interesting harem registry pages:
Tumblr media
So, here we see that Bayezid’s daughter Hatice lived in the harem at the time (January-March 1576).
Tumblr media
In 1981-82, though, she is not present anymore so she must have died or married.
(The Ayşe mentioned in the harem registers is not Bayezid’s daughter but Ayşe Hümâ-Şâh, identified from her husband, the deceased Ahmed Pasha)
According to Qutb al-Din Muhammad, a man sent to Istanbul by the chiefs of Mecca and Medina for a diplomatic mission, Hatice was 8 years old in 1558 so she must have been born around 1550.
[Bayezid] was a cultivated, perceptive and clever person possessing a good nature, humility and a love for what is good, as well as boldness, audacity and courage. His male offspring are Prince Orhan, who is the eldest of his children and who is strikingly handsome, Prince Osman, Prince Mahmud and Prince Abdallah. His daughters include Princess Mihrimah, the eldest of them who was then eleven, Princess Hadice who was eight, and the princesses Aişe and Hanzade. They are [all] the issue of different mothers, except for the princes Osman and Mahmud, who are full brothers.
In this excerpt, he also talks about a Mihrimah Sultan, the eldest daughter of Bayezid. So no, Mihrimah wasn’t the second name of another princess. According to Öztuna, Mihrimah married Muzaffer Pasha, who was governor of Kıbrıs from 1570 to 1592, when he was moved to Lorestan until his death, a year later. Mihrimah must have accompanied him, so that’s why she doesn’t figure in harem registers.
It is certainly interesting that Fatma Sultan binti Selim II appears in a harem register dated 1581-82 but we don’t have the original of this harem register and we don’t know how exactly these women were called. If Dumas hadn’t added the original and the transliteration at the end of her dissertation we wouldn’t have known she had made mistakes in it (I’ll refer you to this ask). Also no, harem registers are not necessarily more accurate. They’re valuable sources, yes, but sometimes the clerk made mistakes (here).
About Bayezid's daughter Ayşe, I don't know anything more than what Öztuna said in his book: she was married to Hoca Ali Pasha and had with him Sultanzade Mehmed Bey. Unfortunately I don't have the source to the claim she married again (Haskan, Mehmet Nermi (2008). Eyüp Sultan tarihi, Volume 2)

Making a coke studio india rec post (part of many maybe) cuz a lot of y'all shit on it for no good reason.
Easing y'all in with the most recent bop. For obvious reasons.
This one's an Experience ™
Somehow the youtube video on cs channel has the best audio, but this can give y'all a fair idea.
This is such an underrated song. Seeking forgiveness and expressing devotion in a melody that expresses earnestness so neatly. Love love love.
Ustad Rashid Khan - enough said. (Salim suleiman love making music and it shows. Ik this isn't an original composition, but ss are still underrated composers)
This one's again not an original composition. Ram Sampath's second take at this classical composition with Aruna Sairam. Masterclass in vocals.
This one's a classic for a reason. Happiness and mischief and infatuation.
Karsh Kale on the tabla being a boss
Not always a fan of fusion but these 2 I love with all my heart.
This part ends with one of the sweetest love songs EVER. Devendra Singh is amaaaaazing.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Surah Al-Kahf Ayah 23-24
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
18:23 And never say of anything, "I shall do such and such thing tomorrow.''
18:24 Except (with the saying), "If Allah wills!"
And remember your Lord when you forget and say: "It may be that my Lord guides me to a nearer way of truth than this.''
Saying "If Allah wills" when determining to do Something in the Future
Allah says:
And never say of anything, "I shall do such and such thing tomorrow.'' Except (with the saying), "If Allah wills!"
Here Allah, may He be glorified, shows His Messenger the correct etiquette when determining to do something in the future; this should always be referred to the will of Allah, the Knower of the Unseen, Who knows what was and what is yet to be and what is not to be, and how it will be if it is to be.
It was recorded in the Two Sahihs that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah said:
Suleiman bin Dawud (peace be upon them both) said: "Tonight I will go around to seventy women (according to some reports, it was ninety or one hundred women) so that each one of them will give birth to a son who will fight for the sake of Allah.''
It was said to him, (according to one report, the angel said to him) "Say: `If Allah wills'", but he did not say it.
He went around to the women but none of them gave birth except for one who gave birth to a half-formed child.
The Messenger of Allah said,
By the One in Whose hand is my soul, had he said, "If Allah wills,'' he would not have broken his oath, and that would have helped him to attain what he wanted.
According to another report,
They would all have fought as horsemen in the cause of Allah.
At the beginning of this Surah we discussed the reason why this Ayah was revealed: when the Prophet was asked about the story of the people of the Cave, he said, "I will tell you tomorrow.'' Then the revelation was delayed for fifteen days. Since we discussed this at length at the beginning of the Surah, there is no need to repeat it here.
And remember your Lord when you forget,
It was said that this means, if you forget to say "If Allah wills", then say it when you remember.
This was the view of Abu Al-`Aliyah and Al-Hasan Al-Basri.
Hushaym reported from Al-A`mash from Mujahid that concerning a man who swears an oath, Ibn Abbas said
"He may say `If Allah wills' even if it is a year later.''
Ibn Abbas used to interpret this Ayah (And remember your Lord when you forget)
in this way.
Al-A`mash was asked, "Did you hear this from Mujahid?"
He said, "Layth bin Abi Salim told it to me.''
The meaning of Ibn Abbas' view, that a person may say "If Allah wills'', even if it is a year later, is;
that if he forgets to say it when he makes the oath or when he speaks, and he remembers it later, even a year later, the Sunnah is that he should say it, so that he will still be following the Sunnah of saying "If Allah wills'', even if that is after breaking his oath.
This was also the view of Ibn Jarir, but he stated that this does not make up for breaking the oath or mean that one is no longer obliged to offer expiation.
What Ibn Jarir said is correct, and it is more appropriate to understand the words of Ibn Abbas in this way.
And Allah knows best.
And never say of anything, "I shall do such and such thing tomorrow.'' Except (with the saying), "If Allah wills!" And remember your Lord when you forget,
At-Tabarani recorded that Ibn Abbas said that this meant saying,
"If Allah wills.''
and say: "It may be that my Lord guides me to a nearer way of truth than this.''
meaning, `if you (O Prophet) are asked about something you know nothing about, ask Allah about it, and turn to Him so that He may guide you to what is right.'
And Allah knows best.

"On the third day of the war, while I was working at the emergency unit in Nasser Hospital, I discovered my sister had been killed with her husband and children," [Mahmud al-Astal] said. Those strikes razed entire buildings, including one where Astal's 40-year-old sister Sadafah died alongside her husband Hussein, also 40, and their children Fadwa, Azar, Ahmad and Suleiman, aged between six and 13. "Ever since my sister was killed... the nightmares don't leave me..." Astal said. "My children dream of travelling one day. Now I don't know if they will come out of this war alive." Despite the tragedy, he is determined to continue his vital work. "We have no other choice but to work and serve the injured to save them." [...] [Respiratory] physician Raed [al-Astal] was at the hospital on Monday when he received a panicked call from his wife saying a strike had hit the building opposite theirs. He hurried to the emergency unit where the victims had been taken, and found his relatives were among the dead. "My aunt, her husband and their children as well as my cousin's wife were killed," he said. "The stench of death is everywhere, in every neighbourhood, every street and every house."

Okay this is the updated definitive Tudor Royal Family Tree for my OT3 Universe - the only things it lacks is some monarchs numbers of children and their names past the oldest in some cases but I have done it.
A note: I see the monarchs having a regnal name + a personal name they use with family/friends at least most of the time. There’s also a few unofficial/official/informal abdications and co-ruling relationships because this is actually a very loving royal family/family.
Monarchs Of England & Their Spouses 1556-Present
 Thomas I (ruled 1556/1570-1590/1616) 1536-1616
Married to Mihrimah Sultan, his co ruler
Six Children
Thomas (Turhan) b. 1556
Maryam b. 1559 (married Emperor Abbas I of Persia, mother of nine children and greatly loved by her subjects for her intelligence, wisdom and kindness - named for her mother and aunt and indirectly her grandmother Anne)
Suleiman b. 1562
Henry b. 1565
Ayse b. 1570

One daughter Charlotte Askala who became Queen Charlotte I

Introduced a spate of solidified anti-empire/colonialist laws and entrenched universal democracy and human rights. A good guy.
I am not sure if Eleni marries again after his death?

Is TEXAS the Center of U.S. Jihad Activity?
Texas is definitely one of the top dumping grounds for Muslim refugees. Ted Cruz has some ‘splaining to do.
Tumblr media
The man who attacked NAS Corpus Christi (TX) was a sharia-adherent Syrian-born muslim who studied sharia in Saudi Arabia named Adam Salim Alsahli. Alsahli was killed by personnel manning the gate he tried to plow through with his vehicle.
Understanding the Threat (UTT) has published numerous articles about the significant and growing jihadi network in Texas to include:
Texas Leads the Nation in Domestic Jihadi Attacks – click here to read;
Texas Media Desperate to Defend Jihadis – click here to read;
Remembering the Largest Terrorism Financing Trial in American History – click here to read.
A Look Back at Nabil Sadoun: Hamas/CAIR Leader in Texas – click here to read.

Jihadi Omar Suleiman Finds Open Doors All Over Texas – click here to read.
The Disinformation Campaign at the Ground Level: Carrollton, Texas – click here to read.
Texas School Demonstrates Mainstream Public Education is Biased Against Truth & Reality – click here to read.
Here are some facts to ponder regarding the jihadi threat in TEXAS:
Texas has had more jihadi attacks since 9/11/01 than any other state in America.
On November 5, 2009, muslim U.S. Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan launched a jihadi attack at Fort Hood (Texas) killing 14 people and wounding over 30 others.
Dallas – Fort Worth (DFW) has the most Hamas activity in the nation, outside of the Chicago, Illinois area.
Texas is home to the largest terrorism financing trial ever successfully prosecuted in American history – US v Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), Northern District of Texas (Dallas) 2008. HLF was the largest Islamic charity in America and was a front for the terrorist group Hamas located in Richardson, Texas.
On May 3, 2015, two Islamic jihadis from the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamic Community Center of Phoenix (AZ) attacked the “Draw Mohammed” contest in Garland, Texas but were killed by police before they could enter the event.
On February 17, 2019, the Islamic Education Center in Houston, Texas celebrated the anniversary of the 1979 Iranian revolution and declaration of a global jihad against the non-muslim world with children at the center declaring they are soldiers for Allah.
Houston, Texas has 108 mosques (that we know about), and UTT has not identified one of them which does not teach that it is obligatory for muslims to wage war against non-muslims until “Allah’s divine law”/sharia is the law of the land on earth. As a side note, Houston is also home to the headquarters of the Communist Party in Texas and the jihadis and communists are working together against the United States. UTT assesses the Houston area is significantly dangerous and as dangerous as Dearborn, Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota, but the jihadi population is not as overt as those other areas yet.
Hamas doing business as CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) hosts an annual “Muslim Day” at the Texas State Capital in Austin, Texas. In December 2018, Houston Mayor Turner declared December 9, 2018 as “CAIR-Texas Day” in Houston.
Texas is home to at least one Islamic Tribunal or sharia court. In 2015, Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne boldly took on this Islamic sharia court in her area, and the U.S. Islamic Movement responded with a propaganda operation of sending a muslim boy into school with a device that looks like a bomb. Eventually the citizens of Irving stood behind their mayor, but the Irving sharia court is still operating.
Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas has a “muslim prayer room” inside the Taylor Chapel on base which teaches that all muslims must wage war against non-muslims until “Allah’s divine law”/sharia is imposed on every one on earth. In April 2018, UTT published a report on the specific materials UTT found in that muslim prayer room and the danger this activity poses to the base and the community. A copy of the report was sent to the base commanding officer with numerous follow ups and requests by Members of Congress to conduct a CONGRINT (Congressional Inquiry). To date, nothing has happened.
Texas has been home to numerous Islamic “honor killings” including the 2008 New Year’s Day killing of two muslim girls by their father Yaser Abdel Said who is still at large.
Colleges and universities across Texas are home to chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Muslim Students Association which recruit jihadis, promote a false understanding of Islam, conduct dawah, and are a significant part of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s deception operation.
All Richardson Independent School District (ISD) high schools have designated muslim prayer rooms.
These data points indicate a dangerous situation in Texas and a lack of understanding of the threat by those in charge. Yet, Texas leadership, including and especially the Texas GOP, has ignored this issue and, rather, embraced Islamic leaders who – almost always – turn out to be jihadis.
Texans must decide how long they will let their neighborhoods burn before they decide to call the fire department. Texans are encouraged to get a deeper understanding of the threat by using the resources UTT offers, and pushing local and state officials to do their duty to protect the citizens instead of working to infringe on their unalienable rights under the cover of COVID-19.
Understanding the Threat is the only organization in America empowering citizens, police, and local/state officials with tools to identify and map out jihadi and communist networks, and the only organization in America which helps local leaders build strategies to dismantle these networks.

[Coda (5/22/20): In light of the facts we now know…What will be the response from the FBI and federal officials?
Will the United States take military action against Saudi Arabia for training Alsahli, the 9/11 attacks, Saudi Arabia’s funding of the global jihad, Saudi’s funding of jihadi mosques and schools in the U.S. or any of the other hostile actions Saudi Arabia takes against U.S. interests?
Will the FBI get search warrants for NAIT owned mosques (Muslim Brotherhood/jihadi) in Texas and bring the heat down on the Islamic community and begin holding them accountable?
Will the FBI arrest leaders of Hamas doing business as CAIR and seek their execution based on the fact they are working directly with hostile foreign powers to commit murder, conspiring to overthrow the U.S. government, committing espionage, and directly support terrorism according to U.S. law?
Will local or state officials in Texas order all Islamic schools in Texas shut down because they teach the very thing Adam Alsahli just did at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is normative and universally accepted behavior for all muslims?
Americans should be outraged if there is not immediate and bold action taken.
Texans should not stop pressing their state leadership until Texas leaders take aggressive and definitive action against the jihadi community or Texas leaders are removed from office for their criminally negligent inaction as well as actions which continue to support enemies of Texas and endanger Texans.]
--------------------------------------
Creeping Sharia has been reporting on the Islamization of Texas, including a sharia court, for more than a decade.

WINNING SOMEONE OVER SOMETHING WAS NEVER EASY.
Tumblr media
Nowadays finding better love stories with strong connections, chemistry between actors and most importantly a better writing are getting rare at some points.
As we know some of them can be considered as masterpieces or classics but the problem is they are not getting what a big masala films are getting these days the hype, the publicity etc.
We are going to talk about 2008 film Love "Aaj Kal" directed by Imtiaz Ali. The movie focuses on Modern day love story along with 90s age love stories side by side. It is a fresh, refreshing and ahead of it's time. I really liked the idea of showing two parallel love stories as a sign of an amazing film-making because generally audience gets bored or annoyed during some parts when they are watching a love stories on big curtains but Love "Aaj Kal" will keep you hooked from start till it's end.
Tumblr media
The vintage love story is very heart touching it may bring tears in your eyes as the connectivity is absolutely brilliant and was necessary too for making the story more fantabulous. Saif did a great job as playing a role of Punjabi guy as compare to modern one's. While playing a Punjabi guy I felt that dialogue deliveries and expressions were just perfect as we can feel the connection, pain as well as anxiety. Deepika Padukone gave her best as a passionate actress she is, about her work and was trying to figure out whether she is in love with Saif or it's just some kind of attraction between them. The Screenplay and Cinematography of this film are backbone of this film as wherever it feels like that the storyline is getting overshadowed screenplay and cinematography saves it in a very well manner.
The songs of this film are another aspect which you should opt as a plus point for this film as they are quite engaging and connective for the film. The way in which they got shot is amazing and charming the color background during the old era and new one is made very clearly which does not leave you in any doubt. The music director's Pritam and Salim-Suleiman gave their one of the best works of there lives as the lyricist was Maestro and Imtiaz Ali's only gem Irshad Kamil who has a power of grasping audiences mind with his writing.
