Itzpapolotl and Xicoatli

In my Pokemon Scarlet game I decided to give all of the pokemon on my team names from Nahuatl (Aztec) as a sort of inside joke because Paldea is based on Portugal and Spain combined, and the Aztec Empire was conquered by the Spanish Conquistadors. So my Team are in a sense the Aztec Empire coming back to conquer the Iberian Peninsula. So I decided to draw member of my team dressed in Aztec inspired Outfits!

Itzpapalotl is named after the Fierce Aztec Warrior Goddess by the same name whose name translates to "The Obsidian Butterfly"

Xicoatli's name is inspired off of my character Kaida who's name is Japanese for "Little Dragon" I couldn't find the nahuatl word for Little or Small, but I did find Xico for "Little Sister" so I mixed Xico and Coatl the Aztec word for Serpent translating as a whole to "Little Sister Serpent". I put away most of my party from Paldea so I could make a whole new team from the Kitakami area in the Teal Mask DLC which is where I found Xicoatli up in the mountains.

We're back baby! And with the long awaited PokéTWST entry for none other than Vil! This took me longer than expected but better late than never right?

I know what you're thinking: where the hell is Gardevoir? Well, I feel like that works better if Rook has a Gallade, right? So Gardevoir can wait her turn. In the meantime we got Venusaur, Tsareena, and Salazzle

Venusaur is great for helping Vil unwind after a stressful day with the help of it's flower. It's definitely saved Vil from countless untimely breakouts.

Salazzle's pheromones for attracting male Salandit also double as an ingredient for Vil's personal collection of perfumes. It's his little secret.

Why Tsareena is his partner pokémon tho, you'll just have to wait and find out!
