Mint Nettle, a staple of Einri's little plant needs.
A sturdy leaf that's not bigger than a little finger. Leaf if a ever-green hue, fuzzy on one side and rimmed with firm 'nettles', almost like a paint brush, but less hair. On it's own it smells delightful of mint, but when chewed it's tenfold in output as it's the secretion of the leaf itself.
When chewed it can almost burn the mouth but if moved around enough it'll avoid the irritation. It's often best to chew the leaf after washing the mouth out with cold water.
Do not swallow the damn plant, it'll upset the stomach as it's mint secretions are meant to be used to ward away predators.
It's best to chew the lead until it turns into a slimy consistency - that's when you spit it out and rinse your mouth again. Chewing past that moment, will turn the leaf into a thick paste, that will turn sticky and clog the air-away if accidentally swallowed.
It's best to chew on the lead for ten chomps each side of the mouth. Some wrap it around a stick to brush back and forth for kids to learn the fundamentals, but when on the move and too busy to stand in once place, it's often chewed on the go. Once chewed, it's pretty useless outside of being a sticky mess, so it's often just spat into the fire to help it burn or spat in the forest to be used as mulch for nature.
Someone once tried to make a drink out of mint nettle and instead of discovering a lovely refreshment, it turned into a murder weapon due to its sudden expansion in the throat and promptly suffocated the poor sod.

Sakchai gives a happy scream for his lil'feeder. He's curious on what's the meal today and even brandishes his mandibles at the ready - venom bubbling just enough to drip before them as he stands tall. ♥
❝ Oh, you're happy, hmmm? I should perform a brain-scan. I wonder what the structure is like. If you experience happiness, does that take place in the limbic-cortex? But you are a Chilopoda. I've never known them to have such advanced brains! Truly fascinating! ❞ Yes --- he got a little distracted. What he was actually here for, was to collect venom ( and, because he was nice, feed his pet ).
With the creature opening its mouth ( and standing tall, tall, tall ) - venom was dripping down. Mayuri was holding a handful of food. With his vacant hand, he beckoned the creature to bend down. ❝ There's a good boy. Come, here is food for you. Oh, and stand still while I collect the venom, will you? ❞ He fished out a bottle from his coat.

entrevista

(Bangkok) – The Thai delegation visiting Xinjiang should publicly press Chinese officials about their abuses against Uyghurs and seek unfettered access to the 40 Uyghurs the Thai government forcibly returned, Human Rights Watch said today.
Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Phumtham Wechayachai and Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong are expected to lead a delegation of Thai officials and journalists to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China between March 18 to 20, 2025. Thai authorities said that the officials intend to check on the condition of the 40 Uyghur men whose forced repatriation to China on February 27 triggered broad condemnation from United Nations agencies, foreign governments, and human rights groups.
“The Thai delegation visiting Xinjiang shouldn’t take part in Chinese government choreography and image laundering, but instead report on how Uyghurs are really being treated,” said Elaine Pearson, Asia director at Human Rights Watch. “The Thai government needs to start repairing its damaged reputation on rights for forcibly sending the men back to China by insisting on unfettered access to and publicly reporting on the condition of the 40 Uyghur men.”
Both the Thai and Chinese governments have portrayed the deportation of the 40 Uyghur men as a benevolent act to reunite them with their families, and Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra repeatedly said that the Chinese government assured her that they would not be punished or mistreated. But past cases show that such Chinese government assurances lack credibility, Human Rights Watch said.

Sakchai – the creepy crawly
—- sak [ Power, Honour ] + chai [ Victory ]
—- scolopendra dawydoffi, Giant Centipede
—- Poisonous bite
—- 177 Segments & Legs
—- Trunk Length
—- 12 ft
Beneath his ears connected to his nape are two antennae, that rest over his shoulders.
They connect to his cervical brain-stem, thus much like fingers - this area controls the antennae movement and sensory detection.
Both are VIBRANT ( blood orange ) and even in length of 7.5 foot, they aid him in feeling vibrations, moisture and heat in the surrounding areas as his body is rather numb by such thermal changes due to how thick his exoskeleton is.
These antennae may seem sensitive and fragile, but they are actually just as deadly as himself. They are sharp tipped, covered in a thinner layer of segmented exoskeleton but are still able to crush tree trunk and even easier body parts of prey is he swings them with velocity.
Human torso is pallid on the underbelly, but the entirety of his back is coloured in an orangey-brown murky exo.
Humanoid hips are covered in this exo, dots of the shell climb up the sides of ribs and around abs, over sides of breast tissue, over collar bones and all around his neck to lower jaw.
Hands and fingers are sharp like his antennae, glands under the subtle curve of middle finger claws weep his toxin into his prey along with his poisonous bite.
Has two arms!
Has several grown bug limbs underneath those, the longest extending from where human hip bones protrude.
They are sleek and pretty useless, but they look good.
Educated?
No.
Instinctual and often steals meals from bigger and more dangerous predators since he can overpower them easily.
Skin tones
Heavy tan, natural Asian darkness to skin.
Sun heavy living thus darker than most Farmers or Travellers in the Jungle he inhabits.
Poor eye-sight but extreme sensitivity to movement / heat of the body.
Jaws are humanoid at first but when consuming, Mandibles easily break apart the lower jaw into horizontal jowls to crush and chew his meals.
Language; Bug & Screaming

Sakchai opening his mandibles but snapping them down on Mayuri's instruments because they moved on his tongue thus food? A little nibble and tug but when they don't break or give, he lets up and moves his antenna around the shinigami to understand what is going on a little better! Though he did stay still as Mayuri asked for, just a curious blind beastie that's allowing the man extremely close to examine him without a death bite, so fair is fair.
Hm. Strangely enough, nobody in the lab had volunteered to go into the creature's glass-cage to do the readings Mayuri wanted. Yes, he could've just ordered someone to do it - but well - he could also do it himself. Unlike his fellow lab members, Mayuri had no fear. Of anything.
Large mandibles that could undoubtedly tear into his skin with no trouble, snapped down on Mayuri's instruments, just like he'd wanted. He wished to see if the creature possessed any venom. If it did, then he would extract it and study it, and he would no doubt have use for it later. The creature was biting down, but it seemed more like a nibble than an actual attempt to eat. Like it was tasting. Mayuri wondered what sort of flavours would be agreeable to it. Did it have a sweet tooth like himself?
The instruments were released. Mayuri stood still while he let the creature's antennae gently tap against his small body. It was blind, so it was best not to move, and let it size him up instead. Mayuri would be interested to see if it would attack. So far, it was surprisingly docile for such a large beast. It even seemed to listen to commands. It didn't attack him. Could it tell that his flesh was poisonous?
❝ There's a good boy. ❞ He reached out a hand, slowly. Then he pat the dry, armoured plating that covered the back of the creature. ❝ You can tell I'm not edible, hm? ❞
