Saito x Tsukuyo

Linked to this other post with the difference that I don’t propose this couple as a rarepair, but rather as something to spice up the series lol. Do you know how in some shojos the love rival is introduced just before something important happens? Well, Saito's appearance precedes the Love Potion arc.

I like the idea of Saito accompanying Kondo to Yoshiwara to see Hinowa when he meets Tsukuyo and is captivated by her. I think it would’ve been an interesting way to give him more screen time and flesh him out further. Initially, Tsukuyo wouldn’t pay much attention to him, but then during one of her patrols Saito helps her catch some criminals and then falls asleep due to his narcolepsy. Tsukuyo takes him to a safe place in the meantime and when he wakes up they start talking. Well, “talking.” It would be cute to see him stutter and, unable to get a word out, he decides to write in his notebook, defeated. Tsukuyo accepts this difficulty and asks for it to answer him, and so they stay talking through the notebook. After this fact, Saito returns regularly to see Tsukuyo.

Eventually Gintoki would find out, either because someone told him or during one of his visits to the red light district. He would start arguing with Saito, accusing him of wanting to steal his title of Savior of Yoshiwara (although he never cared much). There would be comedic scenes in which Gintoki tries to beat him in different areas, but reluctantly admits that Saito is taller than him, cooler and has a bigger perm. All this because he doesn’t realize or doesn’t want to realize he’s jealous.

i didn’t think about this at the time but like. elizabeth and saito from gintama also do not speak w their mouths. and i love them dearly so i’m adding then now!!!!!!!!
