RAHHH LIKE WHAT. there are so many unknowns that it’s making me cry. sypha makes it seem like people who can use magic are literally unstoppable like.... there’s no apparent limitations?? kinda KINDA makes sense when you consider that in fights trevor (or anyone else who fights w/o magic) never tires out either even with major wounds that would really honestly make them keel over. so it like. matches with the power level (?) of other characters so ig it’s the unexplained magic SYSTEM that’s making me go crazy. was not a big fan of all that infinite corridor stuff in the last season seemed kinda. idk. like it wasn’t last minute bc it was set up throughout the season but bc it was driven by a character that was fairly new (thinking of saint germy or whatever his name is) and bc it was for the most part disconnected from the characters you know well it felt off...yeah. NEXT point i ended up really liking issac’s story and how it concluded and how it contrasted with uhm the other guy. idk his name. but issac was cool to watch and i like that his story took a little while to pay off. ALSO. for seeing so much fanart ect of sypha trevor and alucard sucking and fucking alucard third wheels SO HARD the entire show it’s really funny. like. in the finale when trevor is going off to fight death he turns to sypha all “love of my life i’ll miss you” and alucard is standing RIGHT NEXT TO HER he doesn’t even look at him like not even a “hey buddy i’ll miss you” NOTHING. love that. and ok. it FEELS like the three of them are supposed to all care about each other but it feels really one sided on alucards part ngl... like he made DOLLS of them he missed them so much and they didn’t even mention him once while they were gone. i really thought they were going to either be like “hey lets go see how are old buddy alucard is doing” and then come back to see him all sad in his castle... like in the beginning sypha was all oooh trevor you are so tortured. but all along alucard was ALSO just a weird sad little guy (he just hid it better). and then they would pat him on the back and be like dw power of friendship and all that.  so the fact that alucard sorta. moved on from them makes them feel more like acquaintances than anything. polite work friends. Just Like Lys and her sister Anastasia, they both share a sense of rebelliousness against the behavior morale of a Grand Duchess and she was close to Lys when it comes to their sense of intellect, cautiousness, and their fondness towards literature themselves. Olga/Ollia, thanks to Lys, longed to be “rebellious” due to her being sheltered with her siblings in the Alexander Palace under the protection from her mother for so long, that her development towards socializing has been “arrested” despite the gatherings, events, and nursing work she attended, and tended to act like a curious child sometimes in terms of their conversation, but promised to grew out from her phase which she called the “sheltered nursery phase.”

(NOTE: The clothes Ollia was wearing beside her Drifters self was a Disguise outfit after Lys had killed some neo-millennium soldiers during their imprisonment by the Main Antagonist in a castle in Germany in the story, and I forgot to add some blood stains in the outfit after Lys (and Toshizo) had killed the men in retaliation in hopes of rescuing them and disguised them as Millennium soldiers to blend in with the rest (which unfortunately failed because the Main Antagonist gave them the information on their appearance.)

(This apparently takes place during volume 5? Maybe? In any case during a time when Toyo wanders around in the capital with Yoichi and Hannibal, so that’s volume 5, I guess.)

Shit shit shit shit. Nobunaga & Saint-Germi discuss shit and Nobu’s plans for shit. Shit is important but that’s not what we’re here for.

The discussion turns to Nobu’s long-term plans to install Toyo as king. Saint-Germi is kind of skeptical about Toyo’s ability to stay put on his ass, but Nobu says don’t worry, if he’s not cooperating they can just tie him to the throne and be done with it. Also, Saint-Germi says, if he is to be king he needs a consort, and can you imagine that? What kind of woman could serve as his wife?

They waffle about that for a while, but then all the talk about women and wives causes Saint-Germi’s mind to go off on a weird tangent. Hey, Nobu-nobu. Have you ever considered that perhaps Toyo-chan is, well. Could he be maybe. A virgin?

Well I couldn’t help thinking of it. In your old world, did he have a wife or anything? 

Probably, I mean he’s like, 30.

And this is important, it turns out, because virgins are dangerous and easily influenced by women. Virgins can destroy a country, and Saint-Germi will not stand for some bitch ruining the results of his grand plans.

So now they’re actually considering this as a possibility, and are insanely curious. Nobu tells Olmine to ask Toyo. Olmine is like, no way. Then he tells Saint-Germi. Saint-Germi says no, you ask him, you’re the Demon King, no? Also, wouldn’t it be more appropriate for a man to ask that question? Oh ffs, you’re a dude, too, Nobu bristles, an old fart at that. 

At this point Toyo enters with Yoichi & Hannibal in tow, coming home after spending the day walking around in the town. Toyo asks what’s going on, meanwhile Olmine quietly gets Yoichi up to date. Yoichi then gets to the point and announces that Nobu & Saint-Germi want to ask Toyo something. Toyo gets suspicious, Nobu is awkward, Toyo catches on that Nobu is being weird “in a different way than usual”, Nobu can’t find a good way to get the question out. This irritates Toyo, they start bickering, then punching each other, then Yoichi is like “AWW A FIGHT" and jumps right in. (Quoting Heike Monogatari, no less.) or maybe not? could have misheard something.

And then, in the heat of the moment Nobu just blurts it out. 

And Toyo basically goes “……..WHAT.”

And before the situation could escalate further, Hannibal has an incontinence episode, distracting everyone. 

Later we hear Olmine’s report to Seimei, and we learn that Toyo confirmed that he was in fact married, so that got Nobu and Saint-Germi to calm down. However, before storming off indignantly, Toyo also stated that he doesn’t care for having a wife and whatnot, and that got Nobu and Saint-Germi fighting again about how they’re going to get him married. 

Meanwhile Yoichi is chilling with Hannibal. He surmises that Hannibal is probably not a virgin either, and asks how many lovers he's had. And Hannibal goes, “it’s not like there was nobody.”
