Been toying with a Sails design (used the Sails concept art as reference), going to explain some choices under the cut

I went with grey instead of brown because I felt like his browns were out of place with the rest of the crew. I know Black Rose wears brown but she also has white, red, and gold on her design, whilst Sails only had brown + his blue bandana. I also extended the length of his vest because I thought it was weird there was just a Sliver of orange between his vest and his belt

Gave him shaggier fur on his arm to simulate the look of a fringed coat sleeve because 1) I thought it was fun and 2) He seems underdressed compared to everyone else except for Catfish so. Built in coat I guess

Made his eyes a gloomier blue (and also gloomy greys) because of the general vibe of No Place? Aside from pirate bloodthirst he just seems more Meh? I sometimes forget that because I watch season 3 a lot but like they're all just bored and waiting around doing nothing. Gave him the sunburnt nose for a similar reason along the same track that they're just sitting around all day exposed to the sun

Put the rope scar on the same side as his missing ear and mechanical arm for Reasons

Also bonus sketch I did earlier that I gave up on because I couldn't figure out hands and things

The true lesson we learned is that Tails in any universe he is left alone in will always attempt to make bombs and weapons of mass destruction.

I love that the first thing Mangey and Sails do once they take down a robot is quietly drag it somewhere secluded, desecrate it's corpse and immediately get to work on making bombs.
