I need more saiki being kind to people and i need more saikis friends realizing his little actions of kindness SO BAD

he randomly places a pencil on someones desk and his friends are the "?" Emoji until said person comes in, gets out all their books, panics for a second before seeing the pencil and going "thank goodness!! I left mine at home!! Im so lucky haha!" and all his friends just GAPE at him for a minute, and then a minute longer when he doesnt say its his or that he put it there

And then its other little things !! He randomly sticks his foot out to trip an oncomingthief, hits a random floating balloon that floats back to a kids dad to catch, he throws a piece of meat towards a dog seconds before the owner runs to the dog saying they were just about to miss it !!

His friends definitely think hes lucky and test Their luck but they notice when its more forced he just . Lets it happen BAHAHA kaido "accidentally" tripping on his shoelaces and saiki just watches him trip <3

(He doesnt know that saiki makes sure thst his shoelaces are tied everyday bc he is INCREDIBLY clumsy ) (he lets it happen bc hes petty and doesnt appreciate his hard work becoming undone)

Cringetober Day 2: Tsundere

Gotta love a guy who has all the powers in the world, but can't admit he actually likes hanging out with his goofball friends. The most platonic of tsunderes.

saikis powers are a vital part of him so it makes sense that people who dont know about them cant truly understand his whole self, but its also very silly to me when people act like its the ONLY important part of him... people act like his friends that arent in the know are completely blind to who saiki is, but i feel like that kinda means you missed some major points... he cant keep his powers a secret forever and it DOES matter, but he can still be loved and KNOWN without knowing about them... hes still human, he still has a personality, he still has regular likes and dislikes, etcetc

his friends perspectives on him may have been wrong at first, but they CHANGED... they know him and love him, and theyll KEEP loving him the SAME once they know of his powers...

​some people cough cough cough in this fandom like to reduce saiki to JUST his powers and its so obvious that you just. missed everything. you didnt absorb anything from the show, you just saw it and went "ha, everyone thinks hes just a guy when hes actually super cool and powerful" no no no, he IS cool and powerful but look a little closer and at his core he is still LITERALLY JUST A GUY 😭😭😭

How Saiki wants to be perceived:

Not at all. He's just generic mob character #7536, thanks.

How Saiki's friends perceive him at first:

Projection Central... Depending on the person, he's a scaredy-cat, romance novel protagonist, former punk, flustered fanboy, a slacker who just needs some inspiration to become a sports star, etc...

How Saiki's friends perceive him at the end of the series:

Quiet, a little glum, kinda boring, but a good guy. Says "good grief" a lot.

How the Psychickers perceive him:

Sarcastic, stubborn, tsundere, a little childish, back-talker supreme, confident, a bit arrogant even, incredibly intelligent, lonely, silly, uptight, a soft touch, kind.

How Saiki ACTUALLY IS:

-> Only the Psychickers (and to some extent, his family) know and appreciate Saiki for who he actually is by the end of the series.

That's because Saiki is only ever comfortable revealing his true personality once the other person knows about his powers.

Until then, he will always try pretending to be a passive nobody, unless he thinks it can get a girl off his back (ex. against Teruhashi at the arcade, against Imu in the locker room).

Saiki remains nervous about telling his friends about his powers despite seeing it go off without a hitch in the alternate universe, and despite losing his powers first, because his friends might not like his "new"/actual personality.

We see early on in Kuboyasu's introduction that Saiki fears his relationships with his friends are fake because they're based on a huge lie and an even bigger pretense. We see that anxiety about his personality/persona not being palatable enough at the wrong-day birthday party. We see him mourn the fact that he can't be his real self at the mixer.

THAT is the great tragedy of Saiki K, that almost none of the people he loves actually know him in any meaningful way, not even by the end of the series!

I realized a lil too late that you *might* have meant Saiko alone. But i already done a lot for Saiki/Saiko friendship and i didnt want it to go to waste XD

Some headcanons cause i could~

Saiko is apart of the LGBTQA+ Community, he refuses to search for a label that aligns him with the common folk

Saiko doesnt like Coffee Jelly, even when made by his best chef's. It's just.. It's not for him, he leaves that stuff to Saiki and the others.

He's decently good at art but mostly sketch art. He hates doing it cause it's long and tedious and it never looks right.

Praise feels good but he won't admit it outloud. Just quietly keeps pursuing it after the praise was given.

He's a few inches shorter than Nendou, and he is VERY proud of the fact that he's taller than most of their friends.

Spacing out all day and woke up to my brain going "kusuo absolutely Most definitely gossips" and now it wont get outof my head

Hes not very vocal about it and he isnt very chismoso But sometimes he finds himself eavesdropping.. maybe a little overhearing,, not with his telepathy but via their voice (yk his morals and stuff and also because theyre saying it Out loud in such Close vicinity so why is it His fault ? Hes trynna read)

Honestly he probably got it from his mom considering shes friends with his friends moms and yk,, moms are veeery gossipy for some reason and it shows in thst one chapter i forgot where they were just talking about their sons Anyways she definitely comes home with the juiciest gossip and he never really cared until he finds Himself spilling beans to other people and it catches him offgaurd

during lunch with all of his friends he overhears chiyo talking to mera and teruhashi about a girl she knows thats in the "Perfect relationship " and saiki just quietly goes ," they broke up last week..." and she just Stares at him and then REALIZES that he most DEFinitely has the juiciest gossip considering hes a Quiet kid and she starts talking to him more and considering he doesnt like saying no to his friends and he could either talk or be quiet and let the conversation fester into RLLY bad awkwardness (he does Not want to deal with thst and frankly neither do i) he doesnt tell her All the deets out of privacy, but he also just has So much useless information that he has no idea what to do with so he starts by telling her small things , a phrase they said here, a mention of a break up there, never the full story in respect but just enough to get her modtly off his back

It comes to a point where they hang out at Aiura's home, Chiyo talking fanatically , Teruhashi in overall confusion and not super into gossip, mera probably not caring but if she Did hear something she would report it immediately, and saiki providing little bits and snips of things he "possibly" heard and judt having chemistry w the Gals . They need more bonding time . Lorvb

I will never get over the fact that Saiki probably restrains his emotions because he caused serious damage the last time he was truly angry (which, interestingly enough, was for another person: Akechi). Being all powerful means he can't allow himself to feel anything deeply.

its really interesting to me how kaidou says he feels like saiki is protecting/looking out for all of them somehow. like do they all have some kind of innate sense that the Weird Things happening around them are saikis doing? or do you think saiki gives off a strong "if anything happens to my friends im going to become the joker" vibe that he doesnt even notice

I really wonder what the average PK student thought about Saiki.

So, I was rewatching the disastrous life of saiki k and i got to thinking about something.

Saiki says that satou attracts different clichés because he's just so average. Like in the baseball episode. That whole episode is about how he is so average at everything that it makes the whole story average by comparison, thus the clichés. When saiki first sees him he comments about how his friends are two clichés, one chubby one skinny, one with glasses one without.

So we know that perfectly average people attract different cliché tropes. We also know that saiki trys to be as average as possible all of the time. We also know that saiki's entire friend group is made up of cliché characters, different anime tropes present in each of them. We also know that, despite saiki's blatant disinterest and several attempts at avoiding them, they are chronically allergic to leaving him the hell alone.

Do you see what I'm getting at here?

What if, because saiki is so average but so extraordinary at the same time, he constantly attracts cliché, but extraordinary people? Like some sort of magnet for friendship and weird situations that he has to fix.

He spends so much time wondering why they can't leave him alone, and I'm pretty sure there are like a bajillion reasons, but this might be one of them.
