He’s finally done it. He gave into social media but for all the right reasons. Nanami: amateur chef, lover of fine dining, dinner party connoisseur. It’s time to get #fresh with his #foodforthesoul.
Nanami x Reader
wc: 2.2k
Ginger sesame tuna steak with lemon garlic prosciotto wrapped asparagus from dinner two nights before. Caption? ‘Dinner for two.’
“You made an Instagram?”
“Oh, you got my follow request. Good.” Hint of amusement flicked at Nanami’s lips as he looked over at his post now from your phone screen.
The pictures looked straight from a publication; professional. Perfect amount of negative space for the plate to not overwhelm the eye, the lighting seemed make the lemons look so much more… lemony? And that table. Oak?
“We have an oak table?” You pinch the screen, trying to find if that table is anywhere in your home.
“It’s a board I found at the thrift awhile back. Made it a proper food grade board for charcuterie and figured we’d get use of it somehow.”
45 post from various dinners, brunches and crudite laced get togethers that both you and Nanami have shared in the past 6 months.
The comments under the raspberry lemon trifle he’d made were filled with praises.
“PapiGoRu says to marry them for the trifle.”
“Gojo said what?”
There was nothing you could do to stop from laughing. “Interested in taking them up on the offer? He seems easy to please with this trifle.”
Kento crinkled his nose as he maneuvered to sit next to you. “You’re more than enough, dear wife.”
“If you insist. But let’s get back to this Instagram.”
“What about it?”
You scrolled down to the very first post. Valentine’s Day 2022. A heart shaped dark chocolate mousse cake and bottle of Chateau Gazin Rocquencourt sitting in the near distance.
“That was a really good cake..”
“It was a really good Valentine’s Day. We made great use of the leftover creme and the kitchen island.”
You cocked your head to the side and scrolled back up slowly, “We could always recreate it. Minus the wine.”
Kento squeezed your thigh and pressed a kiss to your temple. “But the wine is what had you not wanting to wait to make it to the bedroom. And also had you screaming-“
“Oh look, that bourbon pecan pie from Friendsgiving!” You immediately tried to divert the conversation back to the post at hand. “Was a great pie.”
The smile on Kento’s face was devilish as he looked down at your phone again. “It was. The ice cream Gojo made to go with it really set things off.”
You managed to make it back to the top, 4 small, pumpkin shaped cakes all wildly decorated except for 2. “Who did these? They’re adorable.”
“Three of the first years. The orange one with the black stem is mine.” A pumpkin splattered with hello kitty stickers and the “xD” face carved into it sat in front.
“Kenny. I love this. This is so… you.”
He shrugged it off, “nothing major. Just wanted to take the opportune moments of cooking and put them on display.” Lightly draping his arm over your shoulders, he watched you read the comments of his latest post. “Kugisaki thought it would be a good idea to make a new years post.”
“The New Year brings opportunity to reflect and the occasion to create a pathway for the future. I look forward to another year with my partner and more chances to explore the culinary arts in my own way.
Here’s to more nom-noming with me. 🥖🍞”
“I’m impressed Ken. Truly. You finally make an Instagram and it’s for your cooking. It just makes sense.”
“I’m hoping to keep it up. I’m thinking once we’re back to traveling, I can add some of the eats we’ve had abroad to keep things fresh.”

You leaned further into his side, phone still in your hand as your thumb tapped through a few more posts.
Kento exhaled like he wanted to play it down but couldn’t quite help the small smile tugging at his lips. “It was never meant to be anything. Just documentation.”
“For who?”

“For me. For us.” He reached for your empty tea mug and your phone at the same time, setting both on the coffee table before gently tugging you into his lap. “Cooking was a way to stay grounded. Posting about it gave me something to look forward to during long weeks.”
You softened at that. “You’re kind of a romantic when you want to be.”
“No,” he countered, voice muffled slightly against your shoulder. “I’m always a romantic. You just didn’t notice it came plated with parsley sprigs and balsamic glaze.”
You looked over your shoulder, eyebrow raised and lips pursed. “Kento. You were eating footlong turkey American classic subs when we met. I clearly noticed the romance in the way you mouthed those twelve inches.”
He didn’t even bother to say anything. His throaty laughed vibrated against your back as you both smiled.
“Touché.”
__________
The house smelled like brown butter and rosemary, like roasted garlic and something subtly citrusy that no one could quite place but everyone tried to guess.
“Alright, everyone’s got a seat?” Nanami questioned, already placing the final dish in the center of the long dining table he’d rented specifically for tonight. “Careful, the tray the duck is on is hot.”
“You’re hot,” Gojo said instantly, which was met with a symphony of groans and shouts. “What? I can’t be honest in a room full of food and feelings?”
The long table stretched nearly wall to wall, covered in crisp linen and low golden candles flickering between rustic serving platters and elegant stemware. The air buzzed with warmth, clinking silverware, and the occasional overzealous laugh primarily coming from Gojo.
Everyone began serving themselves and silence fell over the room the moment forks began to touch their mouths.
“This risotto is so creamy it should be illegal,” Panda announced, already halfway through his plate. “What’s in this? Butter? Cheese? Sorcery?”
Nanami, seated at the head of the table, finished pouring water into a glass and gave a nod. “Parmesan. And mascarpone, stirred in at the end.”
Yuji’s eyes widened. “Wait, that’s what I’m tasting? I thought it was love.”
“Both,” you said, catching Nanami’s eye with a grin. “Definitely both.”
Gojo, two chairs down and already tipsy on the Riesling, leaned forward dramatically. “This duck has emotionally reset me. I forgot my social security number after the second bite. Are you even real, Nanamin?”
“Unfortunately for me,” Nanami said dryly, “yes.”
“You should start charging for this. Like, five-star supper club levels.” Gojo gestured to his plate. “I’d pay for this. I am paying for this. I brought that overpriced wine!”
“You brought it because you forgot what Nanami asked for and panicked at the counter,” Megumi deadpanned from the end of the table.
“You wound me, Fushiguro.”
“He’s not wrong,” you added, laughing as you passed a bowl of roasted carrots toward Megumi. “But the wine worked out.”
Gojo slumped dramatically in his chair and muttered, “They’re ganging up on me in my hour of duck-induced vulnerability.”
Yuji pointed a fork at Nanami. “Okay, real talk… did you actually make everything yourself?”
“I prepped most of it yesterday. My wife helped with plating and roasting. She also saved the mousse from collapsing by stabilizing the cream.”
You gave a small mock bow and sipped your drink.
“The mousse thanks me.”
Nanami leaned over and brushed a crumb from your collarbone with his thumb. “I thank you.”
Gojo groaned into his napkin. “This is disgusting. I didn’t come here to third-wheel a married couple.”
“Yes, you did,” Megumi said without looking up.
“I did,” Gojo agreed.
Panda was already loading more risotto onto his plate. “So when’s the next one? Do we get seasonal menus? Holiday specials?”
“I was thinking of doing an Autumn Equinox brunch,” you mused.
“Only if Nanamin makes those lemon ricotta pancakes again,” Gojo said. “With the blueberry compote that made me see God.”
“That was a one-time indulgence,” Nanami muttered.
“Which is exactly what brunch is for!” Gojo argued.
Everyone was laughing now, filling the space between bites and second helpings, the sound of forks scraping plates and glasses clinking together. Even Megumi had seconds. A silent testament to Nanami’s success, though he didn’t say much beyond a rare, “This is good. Thanks again.”
Nanami rose halfway through dessert, taking a quiet photo of the table. He wanted to capture a moment that was real: glasses half full, plates scraped clean, melted candles and the soft glow of friendship settling into the corners of the room. His thumb hovered over the brightness, adjusted the white balance slightly.
Then he sat again, his arm sliding behind your chair as everyone continued chatting. You glanced down at your phone moments later to see it:
@NomNominEats
Friends, food, and the joy of feeding those you care for.
12-hour citrus brined duck à l’orange, wild mushroom risotto, roasted heirloom carrots with honey and thyme.
Paired with a late harvest Riesling and fresh rosemary limeade for the youngins.
Thank you for allowing me to host.
Let’s do it again soon.
🥂🦆🍊 #DinnerParty #ChefAtHome #NomNomWithNanami
“You posted it already?” you whispered.
He gave a small shrug. “Felt like the right time.”
You leaned into his side, letting yourself soak in the golden hum of the room — of the life you built together, complete with duck à l’orange and Gojo trying to sneak a third slice of mousse cake.
“This was really nice,” you said.
“It was necessary,” Nanami replied, tone quiet and sure. “Sharing this part of my life. With you. With them.”
You tilted your head up, allowing your lips to graze against his cheek before placing a kiss. “I hope it goes viral.”
“I hope it doesn’t,” he said, and then paused. “But if it does, they better behave in the comments.”
“Too late,” you said, phone vibrating as you refreshed his page. “Someone just proposed in the comments section.”
Nanami sighed. “I’m not marrying anyone who hasn’t tasted the risotto.”
Gojo shouted from the other end of the table, “Wait, is that an option?!”
______
You were in bed scrolling through the comments the next morning. The late night crept up on you and getting up soon wasn’t even an option.
Just as you were about to roll over, you gasped.
“Ken. Ken.” You shoved his arm just enough to get his attention.
He grunted beside you, sleep-warm and buried in the pillow. “Hmm?”
“Your duck post is viral. Someone reposted it on a chef meme account. Look at these comments.. someone said they would ‘barehand fight their ex for one bite of your risotto.’”
Nanami cracked one eye open. “That feels like an overreaction.”
“Another person said this dinner spread healed their trust issues.”
He blinked. “That one I’ll accept.”
By noon, he had 40k new followers. By evening, Gojo had called twice begging to be tagged in the next post as “Executive Taster.” You made a mental note to hide the good knives before he tried to sabotage the next duck for clout.
“Is that the chef Geoffrey Zakarian saying this looks divine???”
That made Nanami drop his pen, turning with haste to see.
“I guess it is…” the rose color creeping up on his cheeks let you know this stoic little act was just a front.
Nanami was internally fanboying.
_______
Just before dinner that night, Nanami posted one last thing to his page: a picture of you, laughing, a smear of crème on your cheek as you held a wooden spoon like a sword.
“My favorite sous-chef. She tastes everything first.”

choso has a porn addiction, plain and simple. every morning for him starts with the same: open up twitter, get his bottle of lotion, and scroll through his bookmarks until he can cum. he’s had girlfriends in the past, they all thought his addiction was gross. what girl would ever entertain a guy that jerked off to random girls getting creampied on twitter?
well, you, of course.
he messaged you on a random morning, ‘hey’, was all it said. you happened to have a slight porn addiction of your own, having filled your bookmarks for your own solo sessions. you didn’t realize your messages were open and felt your brow go up as you read his message. a click to his bio and there wasn’t much there, just the year he was born and 🇯🇵. your first instinct was to delete the message, but your curiosity got the best of you. you messaged back, investigated how he found your account, and choso revealed his intentions.
‘are you into the idea of sending some nsfw posts to each other?’
choso used to sext with his ex girlfriends, but none of them wanted to include porn. they found it weird and considered it cheating to look at videos while in a relationship. now here he was, randomly texting a stranger on the internet to get a quick nut. if he wasn’t palming his dick through his shorts right now, he’d actually think he looked a bit pathetic. it wasn’t until you said yes and started sending your bookmarked videos did he realize what he was getting himself into.
freeing his dick from his briefs, he started to stroke himself while imagining himself doing the things in the videos with you. he didn’t know what you looked like, hell, he wasn’t even sure you were who you said you were. but you were just as porn obsessed as he was, and he didn’t think you could get any better until you sent another message.
‘let me suck it while you play video games.’
it’s like you knew the exact words to say to get him off. choso hastily reciprocated, although it had become quite difficult to type with one hand. he confessed on how desperately he wanted to cum in your pussy and how you suck him in so well, not knowing that you too had started pleasuring yourself at the mere thought. it had been a while and you needed some action too, okay? his messages started getting further and further apart until he asked you to send a post he can finish to. bringing yourself back to reality for a quick moment to send him a creampie video, how could you have known his favorite genre? you found yourself soon chasing your own orgasm. the echoes of the moans coming from your phone had blended with yours, and you soon came undone on your fingers.
once you remembered to look at your phone again, choso had let you know that he had made a mess, followed by a picture of his cum stained hand and torso. when you sent back a picture of your glistening fingers and soiled sheets, choso audibly moaned. what a pervert.
‘fuck, you’re making me hard… is same time tomorrow good with you?’

Sorry I can't stop talking about that ex-mutual who went off on me last night (well really I only made that one, really long and rambly, pretty over-repetitive post about it) but it's been like just running through my mind because of how hurtful that was from someone that on some level I did consider a friend. Not like a close friend who knows everything about me, in fact as I stated to exhaustion in that post I made earlier, the part that really got me was how much they were illustrating that they DON'T really know about me, how much they just ASSUME without ever having heard or seen confirmation from myself. And how unkind those assumptions were. But I did like them (do? I still have sympathy for them as a person and don't wish them any ill...). I cherished the thought of our online friendship we shared around the time I was 18-20ish or so, and even if we never kept in constant conversation (in fact, before I replied to their message last night, we hadn't chatted through DM since early 2021, if that's saying something). I'm sure they still did/do feel that way about me and this isn't easy on them, that they feel hurt by my posts in some way, etc. I did not go on a rant to them, though, attacking their moral character, calling them a coward who can't take criticism and refuses to learn and grow. I told them I think it's ok if we grow apart and though I still hold my differing opinions from them, it's ok to be upset at me for that. But don't bring it to me.
I would've seriously just preferred it if they unfollowed and left. All I keep thinking about these past couple of hours of marinating on it is: entitlement. I've crossed a line because I don't post about issues in the way they would like me to, and ultimately I still will be voting for Kamala Harris. They maintained that much very firmly even after I replied to their first message saying that they were putting a bunch of words in my mouth and not acknowledging how little they actually know about my views and actions in the real world, off of Tumblr; that I might have ways of caring about and engaging with things that are specifically not on my personal blog because of how toxic some zealous communities on this website can grow to be. They still felt the need to attack me at length for all the things I, in their opinion, "support" because I choose to vote for "a fascist" (meaning Harris). Their opinion that both sides are truly the same is the only logical answer and I'm not trying hard enough to be a good person if I don't agree with that. But that's what makes them presumptuous. That's not what makes them entitled.
I feel like the fact that they really did think well of me at one point, that we shared emotions and kind words with each other, that we talked about music and poetry and all sorts of matters of sensibility together, is why they felt the need to bring that to me. When we feel an attachment to someone, even someone we may be lacking a lot of information about, but there's that mutual sympathy there... we feel that we are invested in them. They (and I) felt that the two of us, as friends, reflected each other's values and sense of self. To be honest I was getting annoyed at some of their posts, too, that were basically fatalist about the US Democratic party and how nothing has ever actually changed since Tr mp left office. I simply don't agree with that analysis, and I didn't know how to sensitively bring that up with someone who I did respect and care for as an individual. They were asserting things that basically implied our views were irreconcilable; and yeah, I basically agree that if you're going to call me essentially a g n cide apologist, I don't really know how to reconcile that with you. I don't think that's what I am; they do. They discussed that because they felt that way they were no longer open to a dialogue (one which I never had brought up to them personally) in their reply to my response to their ask, and blocked me afterward. Well, I think it's ok to not be open to a dialogue. In that case, I really don't know how to defend myself. We're on two entirely different levels of interpretation if mild support of Kamala Harris's presidential campaign is seen as akin to me denying g n cide to you. If that's the angle you're approaching me with, I don't want to have a dialogue with you, either. I don't think one in good faith is possible at that point.
They got angry at me though not just for my differing opinion, but for the disappointment they felt in me for it. I ruined the Diana they had so much respect for. Their initial message reminded me so much of when fans hound celebrities to speak on particular issues they may not know anything about. But at least if you're, like, asking the lead singer of your favorite band to speak about a currently topical issue, you probably are falling back on the argument of thinking they have a higher status to their audience that they're neglecting to use for good. Or maybe they've seemed to do and say things in the past that make their current silence seem hypocritical. I don't particularly agree with the former argument, that every celebrity should use their "platform" to raise awareness for certain causes. There are some times when I think calling on a celebrity to speak on this or that specific thing is just kind of silly. I tend not to proclaim instances where I feel that way publicly, because I don't want to trivialize the issue or the fans' feelings. But there's also the parasocial hurt I've seen some people display when they suddenly interpret a person's silence, or (in their perception) 'inadequate' statements and actions, as genuine indifference. That tends to make fans actually angry, the disappointment that this person they admire could be 'doing better' but isn't. I was told by this person that I'm 'not even trying to do better' when we had never had a conversation about what I'm actually 'doing' or thinking or feeling, even a single time. They let their impression of me fester in silent resentment before finally snapping at me about all the things I never actually said to them.
I'm sure they felt like they had reached their limit of tolerating me, and reaching out was only so they could feel like they had some closure. That they had said their piece to a person they cared about but could no longer associate with. I don't think they actually considered what use their message would actually have to me. That it would be hurtful to be accused of all these moral failings by someone I used to just talk about Jane Austen books with. Someone I shared my poetry and feelings with when I was younger. They must have been feeling 'betrayed' at me for not living up to the expectations and standards they set for me, for not being the idealized friend that I must've seemed when we were in our late teen years. But I am feeling shock and confusion at the sudden void of sympathy or benefit of the doubt being directed towards me from someone I once mutually regarded somewhat highly and rather affectionately.
It didn't have to have been a deep friendship, where we shared all aspects of our life with each other, for this to be hurtful to me or for my words to have been hurtful to them. I'm sure they felt so angry at me because they do think I'm a smart and sympathetic person that they expect 'better' from. But I'm really not your confirmation bias friend. None of the sweet but somewhat shallow memories they once respected me for has to be null and void now because I'm not sufficiently radical in my politics for them. And again, I do think that they were under the impression that they knew my current thoughts and personal philosophies a lot better than they do, because of how much more of an open book I used to be on this website when we first started following each other. I never made some announcement that I was going to start being more reserved about certain things, guys, so, like, don't act like you know everything about me. Because should I have to? I don't have a "platform" or really any meaningful social status on this website. But they still thought I wasn't doing "enough" with it because they interpret my blog as being more intrinsically linked to my actual life than it is. My social status to them was the good opinion they had of me, that I soiled by disagreeing with them in principle about electoral politics.
I'm not less smart or kind than I used to be. That's really not how I make sense of people I mostly like, but who have done or said something I deplore and that disappoints me deeply. You don't have to abandon all faith in the individuals you love. People do not always make sense with your own moral compass, but you can still tell when they're not evil. And I don't think they think I'm evil. I don't think they're evil. None of the sympathy I ever had for them is gone. I'm just honestly hurt and confused. I don't understand why they thought it was appropriate to take up their issues with me in the way that they did.
And again, in every single timeline, I would rather have just been disappointed to see that a once-respected mutual has unfollowed me, after some years of growing apart and changing, than I would to be hurt by someone dramatically going off on me about how they can't be friends with me anymore because I'm just not good enough for them.
#long post#tales from diana#i dont mean to keep making this about the election part of it bc honestly that's the stupidest thing going on here#my first post elaborated more on that but honestly i felt like i was over-emphasizing it#like yes i do hold my opinions still and they certainly have not been changed by the indecent handling of this incident from that person#i don't think their goal was really to change my mind though. just to tell me i had done some wrong#to them or at least to the good will they assumed in me.#they really talked to me as if i had let them down in some catastrophic way#but you know what's also a let-down? having your moral character assumed and attacked from someone you really valued#we talk so much about what we can tolerate in friends and acquaintances these days but i dont think thats really it#i dont know more about their real life situation than they know about mine but#i dont assume it's likely that they go around accusing everyone they know whos voting for harris like they did to me#there was something about their picture of me that was supposed to be 'better' and 'above it'#im sure in their actual life they tolerate those ppl better but for me it was just a step too far#and again i think thats just really where it's truly entitled#like because we were once adolescent bosom-friends that i can't have my own way of thinking and approaching global issues#that i have to downright make the same KINDS OF POSTS that they do (they really said that)#it's just bizarre. i know we didn't know each other THAT well but we know each other. to some extent#and i didn't think i deserved that from them. i honestly dont#i very consciously chose not to do the same thing back of painting the worst possible picture of them.#oh well. whatever... what an empty feeling i'm left with though

This was on @whatareyoureallyafraidof's post where they put up this:
Tumblr media
And I responded with this image:
Tumblr media
and promised in the tags to elaborate if asked. And, @frodo-the-weeb, I will. But it's going to get long and I'm going to have to split it up into several reblogs.
First of all, since not everybody in the world is a Silmarillion enthusiast, let me explain what we're referring to.
One of the stories in the Silmarillion, and possibly the one Tolkien cared about the most, is the tale of Lúthien and Beren; a highly condensed version of a narrative poem called the Lay of Leithian, which Tolkien began writing in the 1930s and tried to get his publisher interested in after the success of The Hobbit.
(Their readers said no, and they tactfully asked him to focus on his Hobbit sequel instead. "The result," in Tolkien's own words, "was The Lord of the Rings.")
The skeleton of The Lay of Leithian is as follows; I'm intentionally leaving out a bunch of information that weaves it into the overarching story of the Silmarillion but isn't relevant to the thesis I'm advancing here.
Lúthien, an Elven princess and enchantress, falls in love with a mortal man, a ranger called Beren. Her father, the Elven King Thingol, disapproves and sends him Beren off to fetch one of the jewels from the crown of the Dark Lord Morgoth. Lúthien tries to join Beren but her father imprisons her in a tower to stop her, only it's actually a treehouse because they're forest elves. Lúthien magically grows her hair long and uses it to escape. By the time she catches up with Beren he is chained in the dungeons of Morgoth's second-in-command, Thû (whom Tolkien later renamed Sauron). She rescues him with the help only of a dog, who defeats Thû himself in single combat. They then live in the forest together for quite some time, but Beren feels bad about being the reason she can't go home to her family, and still intends to finish his mission and get the jewel. He leaves one morning while she's still asleep, so as not to put her in danger, and then when he's on the threshold of Morgoth's underground fortress in the far North of Middle-Earth she catches up with him again and he accepts that she's not going to be put off. Together they enter Morgoth's fortress and make their way to his throne room. They are in disguise but Morgoth is not fooled and uncovers Lúthien in front of everyone, declaring his intention to make her one of his many slaves. Lúthien offers to sing and dance for him, which is the way she works her magic. She puts everyone in the throne room to sleep, including both Beren and eventually Morgoth. She wakes Beren and he takes the jewel and they flee, but as they get to the outer door they are stopped by Morgoth's guard-wolf, who bites off Beren's hand holding the jewel.
That's as far as Tolkien ever got with the poem, but we have the synopsis in the prose Silmarillion to tell us the rest of the story; again cutting it down to the quick, Thingol accepts Beren as his son-in-law, Morgoth's guard-wolf attacks Doriath, Beren goes and hunts it but is mortally wounded, his spirit goes to the Halls of Waiting in the Undying Lands where the dead in Middle-Earth go, Lúthien also goes there and, again through her magical song, persuades Mandos the god of the dead to let him come back. Mandos offers her a choice: live on immortally as an Elf without Beren, or return to Middle-Earth with Beren but both of them will grow old and die. She chooses the latter.
Tolkien created Lúthien as a portrait of his wife Edith, which makes Beren a picture of himself. We know this for a fact because he had LUTHIEN written on her grave when she died, and when he joined her in it two years later the name BEREN was written for him:
Tumblr media
Now on the lower right side of my response image you'll see Pauline Baynes' illustration of the Lady in the Green Kirtle from The Silver Chair, one of C. S. Lewis's Narnia stories. A quick synopsis of the Lady of the Green Kirtle's part in the story:
The Lady is a witch who rules a gloomy kingdom underneath Narnia, accessible through a fissure in the earth in an old ruined city far to the North. Before the story opens she has enspelled and kidnapped King Caspian's son Prince Rilian, whom she intends to send leading an army to conquer Narnia in her name. For twenty-three hours a day he is her willing slave and lap-dog; to maintain the spell, he must be bound to the titular silver chair for the remaining hour, during which he is sane and aware of his imprisonment. The protagonists, Eustace and Jill and their guide Puddleglum, meet her and Rilian unawares on their journey to the North; she sends them astray and almost succeeds in getting them eaten by giants. Eventually they rescue Rilian from the chair, but she sings a magical song which very nearly puts them all to sleep but for Puddleglum's intervention. Foiled, she transforms into a serpent, attacks them, and they kill her.
It is my contention that the Lady in the Green Kirtle is Lewis's caricature of Lúthien, with the enslaved and befuddled Prince Rilian representing Beren; and further, that Lewis knew or recognised that Lúthien and Beren were a literary portrait of the Tolkiens, so that The Silver Chair is ultimately a nasty commentary on their marriage.
In forthcoming reblogs I will lay out my evidence for this thesis.

RAFECHELLA | RAFE X FEM!READER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
note: i’m super jealous of anyone who got to go to coachella. my outfits would go so hard 😓
more like this…
Tumblr media
rafe hated coachella. he hated the music festivals, the skimpy outfits, the pure spectacle of a clear money grab.
but you? oh, you loved it.
you asked him if he wanted to go with you. it’d be two weeks in palm desert, spending time together, and partying on the weekends. of course, he politely declined, pressing a button on his phone and wiring you all the money you could need.
but now he knew he fucked up.
he clenched his phone so tightly that it creaked in his hand. the screen illuminated your instagram post: a photo of you wearing next to nothing with some douchebag male influencer next to you. his hand grazed the bare skin of your hip, not obnoxiously, but enough to have rafe dialing your number within two seconds.
it rang two times too many before you answered.
“hi, baby! i miss you so much!” you squealed, barely taking a breath before rambling on. “oh my gosh, it’s so hot out here. i mean i was in a bikini and i was practically having a heat stroke.”
“baby-”
“wait one sec, i have to tell you about charli xcx’s set,” you screeched into the phone. “it’s tonight and i’m praying that she brings out billie eilish or lorde-”
“that’s nice, hun, but-”
“and then julia forgot her shoes at her house and we had to go out and buy a new pair, and-”
“y/n.” rafe snapped, his voice stern and demanding. you stopped blabbering with a furrow of your brows. “who the fuck was next to you in your instagram photo?”
“that was just julia, sarah, and lexi… why?”
he scoffed, his teeth sinking into his bottom lip. he was losing his patience. “i’m talking about that fucking douche-lookin’ male model that had his hands all over you.”
“oh, you mean mark? yeah, he’s super nice. he’s some influencer that is being sponsored to be here. i only posted the picture because i looked hot.” you said so casually that it made his jaw clench.
“why do you know his name? why does he know your name? why are you even speaking to men? scratch that, why are you even in a ten-yard vicinity as other men?” is what he wanted to say.
instead, he hummed. “yeah, mark, that’s who i meant.”
he thought of twenty ways he could kill mark—half painful, the other half excruciatingly painful.
you thought nothing of it though, continuing to yap about everything under the california sun. rafe sat on the other end of the phone, head in his hands, muscles taut. he crossed the room to his computer with a dangerous stride.
it looked like he was going to coachella after all.
~
the desert sun was merciless, but you barely noticed it. your body moved to the bass pounding through the speakers, hands in the air, hair a mess of waves and glitter, skin warm and glowing. you were in your own little world; sweaty, tipsy, high on adrenaline, and overpriced festival cocktails.
coachella was somehow even more unhinged than the day before. influencers everywhere. lights flashing. girls in metallic bikinis and guys in fishnets for no reason. and you? you were dancing in the middle of it, laughing with your friends, practically vibrating with the energy of it all.
and then it hit you.
that prickly feeling at the back of your neck.
like someone was watching you. no… staring.
you turned instinctively, and there he was.
rafe.
dressed in all black, looking like a threat, jaw flexing, sunglasses low on his nose. his eyes locked on yours like a heat-seeking missile. he didn’t move right away. just stood there, watching. as if he couldn’t believe his eyes; as if he wanted to scream.
you blinked and he started walking.
not fast but not slow, just determined. people moved out of his way like they could feel the tension rolling off him in waves.
and then he was in front of you. no words. no warning.
his hand slid around your waist, fingers splaying over the bare skin above your skirt. he pulled you back into his chest like it was nothing.
you gasped, breath catching. your head tilted back automatically, lips parting in surprise.
he leaned in close, mouth brushing your ear. his voice was low. dangerous. like a threat and a promise all wrapped into one.
“you’re lucky i like that little outfit,” he whispered, every word laced with heat. “but if another guy even thinks about touching you, i swear to god i’ll put him in the fucking hospital.”
your thighs clenched, your pulse spiked, and all you could do was smile.

obsessed - k! bakugo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis - despite knowing you've successfully bagged katsuki bakugou, aka pro hero dynamight, his fans are still shipping him with his ex. so what's a better way to claim him than leaving little trails of your love on him? specifically, his body.
intro (you're here) - masterlist - next
Tumblr media
a bubbly laugh came from your phone, followed by a sweet, dolce voice and cheers from an audience. "I appreciate the question, sizuku. actually, one of my favourite songs these days has been obsessed by olivia rodrigo! i resonate with the song a lot, especially since some people have really been keeping tabs on me." another carefree laugh.
that fucking bitch.
the twitter video came to an abrupt end, having over a thousand likes, with the caption being absolutely absurd.
'did pro hero dynamight's ex-girlfriend just confirm that y/n's stalking her...? oh, that crazy bitch.'
it took every fibre of your being to not reply to the tweet; you knew what she was doing. having been katsuki's ex two years prior, she was much loved by his fans. they were painted as 'Japan's sweethearts', and when the relationship ended, fans were in shambles.
people began posting conspiracies, claiming katsuki had cheated on her or that he'd been abusing her. despite the heinous claims from fans, his ex, amira, played into the role of a distressed woman, earning sympathies from the public.
sympathy she didn't even deserve.
however, when you came into the picture, the situation blew up even more. fans were livid; they hated you, claiming you were the reason for the split, ignoring the fact that you and katsuki began dating almost seven months after their relationship.
"you see it?" his voice was low, dangerous even.
lifting your head, you locked eyes with your now fiancé. "tch, it's quite hard to miss, given that everyone's slut-shaming me in my comments." you rolled your eyes at him, giving him a nasty attitude you know he hated.
"watch it," he said. "i hate it too, but don't give me any shit, doll."
"whatever, kats. she does this shit all the damn time, and your fans eat it up like shit. it's about time they accept you aren't getting back with her." you grumbled, clearly upset by the ordeal.
"i know sweets, it's not your fault. you know how many times i've spoken up about it. they don't give a fucking damn or respect me." he sighs, placing a hand over yours.
you hold on to him tightly, nails digging into his skin unintentionally. "you know, i really wish i could say something, but they don't care! they never will, and she just keeps egging it on."
the two of you sat in silence for a while. maybe if she weren't a bitch, you'd like her. unfortunately, she acts like a prissy princess, always making snide remarks and playing the victim.
selena gomez who? at least she knows how to keep it classy.
a few hours had passed, and your rage had settled into a fuzzy feeling in your stomach. katsuki had left to tend to some hero business while you were left alone with your thoughts, and that's where you came up with the plan.
the 'shove-my-happiness-in-their-faces-so-she-can-cry' plan.
you smirked to yourself, pleased with the idea and immediately getting to work on how to execute it.
HOW TO GET BACK AT HER
make sure katsuki leaves the house in a questionable state
hire someone to 'leak' crude pictures of the two of you on holiday
go on an interview show together
flaunt your proposal in her face.
recreate a moment from their relationship, and i mean the same place, similar outfit and same pose.
heated and messy livestream on Instagram
do tiktok trend ft obsessed by olivia as the sound
even messier podcast
soft launch the wedding, in a colour that she claims is hers.
you let out a laugh, dark and spiteful, ready to see that witch melt.

— your boys try very, very hard to keep a secret…
ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ: rocket baby & shy baby's (also referred to in my head as sunlight (lucian/cian) & sun-warmth (kyros/kyro)) debut! a little self-indulgent, soft sylus family moment bc he'd be a great husband and a wonderful father of two sensory-seeking boys. i hope you enjoy! ❀ -urs
sylus x reader | fluff, domestic family stuff, twin boy dad!sylus, crafty-hobby-collector mom reader, keiran & luke are here too!
Sylus needs to get you out of the house.
He watches you flit around the room like a bird, a twin on your hip, rambling in delight about how the boys had burped loud enough they could have scared away a wanderer. And you were beautiful, a picture of comforting grace— in one of his large shirts, your hair a mess (thanks to your son chewing on it) and bright and joyful eyes shining.
But he needs you out of the house.
He hums appreciatively when you plop down beside him on the couch, his arm automatically wounding around your shoulders and pulling you to his side. The tip of his nose tickles you as it feathers from your neck to your cheek, where he presses his lips tenderly.
You flush and clear your throat, because no matter how long you’ve been together, with him every moment always feels like the first time. “Cian, was looking for you earlier, wanted to show you something.”
“Hm?” he mutters, kissing back down the trail he’d traced. “What was it?”
You shrug. “He wouldn’t show me, said it was papa’s secret.”
Sylus’s panic was undetectable if it weren’t for the stutter in his movement. The slight flex of one of his fingers in your shoulder, the soft exhale through his nose. Ever so in tune with your husband, you raise a brow. “What is it?”
The look he gives you is cool and unassuming, and then he flashes you a charming smile. “It’s harder to keep secrets from you when you’ve gotten so sharp.”
“I’ve always been sharp.” you frown.
He kisses you soundly on the lips, pleased with the little pout he coaxed out of you. “And beautiful.”
He looks at the sleeping child in your arms and bends down to kiss his forehead too. Your heart melts at the sight. Then he stands, and your frown deepens. “Where are you going?”
“To handle a whistleblower.” he says, straightening his clothes and shooting you a mischievous grin. “And to teach him how to keep secrets from mama properly.”
𓇢𓆸 𓇢𓆸 𓇢𓆸 ࿐ ࿔*:・゚
For every corner, every nook and cranny of the base, Sylus had a mental replica of how it should be. One of the most surprising things you realized when you’d started to live together was how clean he was. He liked keeping things in a certain order, and because of this, he was good at leaving and moving without a trace.
You’d abide to his rules when you moved in as much as you could, but you couldn’t keep up with his tidiness. It never bothered him though, instead, he delighted in it— to see some of his toiletries pushed to the side to make way for your own, how you sometimes accumulate glasses of water with lipstick stains by your bedside, your clothes at the foot of the bed when you’re rushing to get changed— knowing you are here, under the same roof, in the same space, with him.
And just as he felt with your trail of breadcrumbs, he felt it tenfold with his boys. The post-hurricane-esque damage of toys and trinkets in his spotless living room, the mess of baby food on the dining table after a meal, crayon marks on his pristine walls, a stray stuffie in his office. A shock to find, of course, but it was never unwelcome.
And so, he follows his son’s trail to the playroom (once an extra armory, flipped by you and the big twins while he was away). It wasn’t hard, it was literally a trail of animal crackers.
He pushes the already ajar door open. “Lucian—“
“—there’s too many of them, little boss—“
“—And another one—“
Three heads look up at him as he enters. One would argue three of his sons were caught red handed dealing illegally acquired animal crackers (it wasn’t snack time yet). But there they were, his loyal henchmen in party hats and his own three year old in a crown, arm very evidently elbow-deep into the cracker tin canister.
“Papa!” Lucian smiles, crumbs all over his cheeks and chubby little fingers.
“Boss.” Luke and Keiran greet as well, glancing down at the hands in their lap.
Lucian doesn’t stay idle, instead he shakes off his crown and rushes to Sylus’s leg. He is picked up and balanced in the crook of his father’s elbow. Sylus’s eyes soften with a molten glow as he brings up gentle fingers to brush away the dirt on his boy’s cheeks. “What are you doing, little boss?”
“Papa, I sharin’!” he grins proudly. Sylus raises a brow.
He peeks over the child’s shoulder to Keiran and Luke with their masks half raised, already munching on the animal crackers on their plastic plates. He gives them a pointed look that makes them slow and turn away, knowing full well they weren’t supposed to succumb to snacks-during-not-snack-time. “With Luke and Keiran?”
“Mhm!” Lucian is already trying to make his way up Sylus’s shoulders. Sylus lets him.
“Mm, that’s kind of you.”
A crumbly finger leaves an imprint just beside Sylus’s eye. “I good.”
“Yes, angel.” Sylus looks up at him. Lucian’s face, a reflection of his own with your irises and your smile, hangs upside down to meet his gaze. “Did you find my surprise?”
Lucian frowns for a moment. After the day he’s had, retrieving a memory after such a long business transaction must be a monumental feat for a clever little mind. The time today he found Luke and Keiran and was told to “shh!”. But it comes to him eventually, and when it does his face lights up like the sun. “Ah-huh!”
“Did you show mama?”
“No.”
“Did you tell mama?”
Lucian blinks. “I tell: no, mama! No go in!”
Ah, yes. Of course. Sylus chuckles, pinching his cheeks. “Good job, angel.”
He’ll clean the mess up later, not that he truly minds it, but he wouldn’t want ants festering in his children’s favorite room.
And that’s what it was: his need for you to have your own favorite room.
He never thought that setting up an old armory would bring this much joy to his children, having once thought the whole base was theirs to conquer, and yet seeing them return somewhere when they have no idea where to go, seeing them drift in and out of the playroom made him realize: that was their little safe space.
And just as his little adventurers were half of him, who once in a lifetime ago, could never have enough space, enough lands, enough resources and things to dominate, they were also half you. Yearning for peace, a quiet little bubble to gather your thoughts, regulate your heart and breathe.
He has his spaces. His boys have the base and the playroom. You… you need your bubble.
Lucian hangs tight on his father’s head, both arms perfectly hugging the circumference as Sylus walks to the hidden room. Papa’s secret surprise.
Down the labyrinth halls, around the priceless statue of a dragon he bought at an auction (its pedestal desecrated with Bluey stickers), there lies the auspicious grey door Lucian had thought would be a good hiding spot.
“Is book room.” Lucian says, one hand mindlessly drifting down to cover Sylus’s left eye.
Sylus doesn’t flinch, but nods. “It's mama’s room.”
“Upstairs…” Lucian answers quietly, thinking it was a question.
Sylus chuckles and pushes the door open.
The incense marinates the room in the scent of fresh linens and citrus, and the sunlight shoots through the half-drawn curtains onto the soft plush carpet— the kind of texture you and Kyros particularly enjoyed. On the wall, a large shelf with lines of books and empty spaces for you to fill. A corner with an easel and paints; old paintings you’d stored away in the spare rooms to make way for your childrens’ needs dusted and placed on your old wooden art table. Your favorite weapons encased in glass, decorated the bare walls.
A desk with a laptop for your writings. A basket of yarn and needles and the other things you bring to your shared bed to poke and weave. A circular couch, closer to a cat-bed, by the window. A hammock by the wall. A beanbag in the corner. And more, so much more.
Everything Sylus had taken note of, committed to memory. Things you’ve said, “sorry for the mess” for. Things he’d thought of and said— she’d like this. All gathered, collected and stuffed— organized in this room.
“Smell nice.” Lucian says, scrambling to get down his father’s shoulders. He does it too quickly, almost falling if it weren’t for Sylus’s foresight. He catches his toddler by the armpits with little fanfare and sets him down on his feet. Lucian, against his usual nature, walks carefully into the room, as if afraid to disrupt its peace. “Mama like books.”
“She does.” Sylus nods, inspecting the work the bigger twins have done with the lighting. Silently regarding their good work, he looks down to his son eyeing the hammock. “Wanna try?”
Lucian runs towards the hammock and grabs onto the tassels. But before he can tug the entire thing to come crashing down, Sylus lifts him up and places him in the giant seat. He pushes the swing and Lucian’s giggles bounce off the walls.
Sylus beams at your smile on his son’s face. The sun setting through the western window bathing the room in a warm glow. He can’t wait to show you. He can’t wait to give it to you. He hopes, still, despite how long and how sure he’s known you, that you like it.
And that’s why he needed to get you out of the house.
Sylus has a plan— he’s good at planning, and even better at executing those plans— and that involves gifting this to you as the big ta-da! The final pièce de résistance at the end of a good day.
There is a traveling carnival in a few days, one he’d invited you to go see days before. You’d arm yourselves with baby carriers and strollers, extra diapers and snacks, hats and hand-held fans, and bring the boys to experience it. Then, he’d take you to a nice restaurant with air conditioning to cool down. You’d order your favorite meal, he’d pick the onions off of Kyros’s plate, and Lucain would be a mess of squash and cream. And after, you’d make it in time for the fireworks to set off across the river.
He’d drive home, hold your hand as he watches you in the corner of his eye fight back sleep, while the little snores in the back lull you to unconsciousness. You’d take the kids in from the car and set them down in the nursery, and before you head back to your own bedroom, he’d ask you if you’d like to see something he’s working on. Might even bring up Lucian’s term of—
“Papa secret.”
He freezes— this time, completely detectable. He has better instincts than this in other, more dire situations, like ambushes and break-ins.
But not for you.
You, standing by the door with a smug little smirk on your pretty face. One hand guiding an already awake other twin to toddle in towards his brother.
Lucian screams in surprise and delight, caught— because he wasn’t very good at secrets just yet. But although close, he wasn’t the one who pulled the pin on this grenade.
Kyros. The quiet little thing. All whispers and contained excitement. The one Sylus had assumed to be safe. Wrongly.
Now, happily chanting over and over, “Papa secret, papa secret…”
Sylus sighs, running his fingers through his neatly done hair out of exasperation, and then turning to look at you with a defeated upturn of his lips. “Beloved.”
You lunge. Arms embracing his shoulders and molding your lips to his. He catches you just a second later through the haze, and grins into your kiss. “You…”
He asks, “Do you like it?”
You pull back and nod. Words cannot surmise how you feel. The stars bursting in your chest, the tears burning your eyes, the love— oh, the love the spills over and takes captive your entire soul.
Sylus laughs, cupping your face in his large hands and kissing you again. “I’m glad.”
You sniff, trying to keep the tears at bay. “Is this mine?”
His thumb brushes the corner of your eye. “I don’t crochet.”
Your fist lands on his chest with no real force. He catches it, spreads out your fingers over his heart. You stare at him thoughtfully, and it knocks the breath out of him how your eyes twinkle in the light.
“I wanted to surprise you.” He says, tone almost apologetic.
You smile. It dawns on you that he probably had planned this huge reveal. You consider him and brush his hair away from his eyes. “I am surprised.”
He exhales, a scoff and an exasperated laugh. “I’m sure you’ve had your suspicions.”
And you can’t hide the little smile you try to suppress— sure, the little twins were expected to blab one way or another, but you didn’t really need them when you have the big twins acting shifty and weird around you when you asked them what the light fixtures were for when they came in the mail. “Maybe a little.”
“Please.” He taps your forehead with a teasing finger. “You’ve always been sharp.”
Just before you can kiss him senseless again, his attention is called with a tug on his pant leg. Kyros stares up at him.
“Pa, up pease?” He says, pointing to his brother on the swinging hammock.
He gives you an apologetic look which you return with a fond smile, as he pulls away from you and hauls Kyros up and places him beside his brother.
“Papa, swing fast-fast!” Lucian howls, shaking the blanket and making the new hinges groan.
Sylus secures Kyros with pillows and guides his hands to hold the corners of the blanket. “Tell me when it’s too fast, okay?”
Kyros nods. And Sylus pushes.
Quickly, the room’s once undisrupted peace is washed with a peaceful kind of chaos. Intended to be a space for you and all the things you love, now filled with the entire world.
As Sylus pulls back to let the hammock swing from its own momentum, you wrap your arms around his torso from behind, pressing your face in the space between his shoulders. You mutter a muffled, “Thank you, my love.”
Sylus takes your hands and brings them to his lips in reply. Needing you to know that your thanks is welcome but not needed. All he needs is this— you, your kids, and the wonderful mess you’ve made in his life.

♧How I Induced the void through SATS
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And i know, I've wanted to and said that i'll induce the void through lucid dreaming, but here's the thing. Sats is actually so easy and effortless to do, lucid dreaming feels like a chore now (to me). And the thing is, I, ironically took break from tumblr and void because void state was starting to be viewed "too hard" (💀) to get into, literally induced it unintentionally through sats, it was THAT easy. Let's get right into it, I'm gonna start from the very basics, so you can know how sats works and how to actually utilise it :)
1. What exactly is SATS?
It's a deeply relaxed state, a state where you're groggy and drowsy. Like, yk before going to sleep, you hit this one point where you're half dreaming, half awake ish? like you can't (or don't want to) open your eyes, and you're just halfway through drifting off to sleep. That's exactly it! Your subconscious mind is HIGHLY suggestive to literally anything you tell it in this state. You access right before sleeping and right after waking up, and if you use it carefully you could really benefit from it :)
2.! How i Induced the void through SATS and how to relax :)
I actually did not realise relaxing was subjective to everyone until this experience. Let me tell you what happened.
It was a normal day. Like I mentioned above, I had taken a break from tumblr so I just scrolled through youtube. I was tired that day and wanted to sleep, but yk me and my phone addiction lol. So long story short, I saw some video about a beach, and then I just decided to go on pinterest, look at some comforting dark stormy beaches (💙) and some more peaceful shit and just imagined scenarios that RELAXED me. I like visualization and I'm good at it so imagining the scenarios was extremely peaceful. Basically I just looked at them pictures and just imagined sitting or laying there peaceful and relaxed, and other stuff.
Then i re-downloaded tumblr because I couldn't resist, and the first thing I saw was bunch of void success stories from a tumblr blog. They motivated me a lot and improved my mindset towards void, one of them being like "I was tired, so I affirmed, relaxed, felt a sucking feeling and entered", which to me was crazy because I was already tired and relaxed. So I laid down, relaxed, and almost immediately got into the SATS because of how relaxed and tired I was. Then in the sats I started to affirm for the void. And guess what? I felt a sucking feeling, something pulling me in, and then it was total black. I couldn't feel, hear or see a thing. I didn't affirm anything because of how peaceful it felt and forgot I had to do that (😭). When I woke up it motivated me a lot because I just realised how EASY it was and that I proved myself wrong.
Now, how is relaxing subjective? because to me, relaxing was like blindly following a guided meditation. Almost every blog i saw told me to meditate to relax (NO HATE TO ANYONE!!), and I thought meditation was just meditating to some guided meditation on youtube or the typical high frequency breathe in breathe out shit, which made me alien to the idea of meditating, because for me honestly following some youtube video on how to relax just didn't sit with me, because I wasn't even "relaxing". After the experience I realised what relaxing or meditating actually is. It's about discovering your own peace. It doesn't matter what it is.
(p.s. from the same concept I Induced the alpha state, lmk if you want a post on that. And no I did not count from 13 to 1 then 12 to 1, or even count at all).
and that was literally it. Imagining some peaceful scenarios, lying down, immediately getting inside sats and affirming, then inducing. I even entered 1-2 times after in two consecutive nights which boosted my confidence. Guys, it really is that easy.

Note
hihi can i request how the media would react if they found out the bllk boys were married (itoshi brothers, kaiser, and whoever else you want)
ty, have a good day/night
“#𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐲𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐬𝐬”
Tumblr media
a/n: this is a whole new idea and i love it! also thank you, have a good day/night as well!!!
a/n #2: who let them get married (and how do i get that lucky)
ft. itoshi rin, itoshi sae, kaiser michael, isagi yoichi, bachira meguru, mikage reo, nagi seishiro, karasu tabito
itoshi rin
the world stops spinning when it leaks that rin married you. nobody can compute it. no one.
he’s trending #1 globally with hashtags like #rinwifereveal #iceprincetaken.
confused fans everywhere are asking the real questions: “how did he propose if he only speaks in death threats?”
old clips of rin ignoring interviewers go viral again: “this man?? THIS MAN found a WIFE???”
his agency posts a really dry statement like: “itoshi rin is married. he will continue his professional activities as usual.”
the comments are gold – you getting praised like some mythological heroine: “if you married rin itoshi and lived to tell the tale, you deserve a national holiday.”
when asked about you at a press conference, rin’s response is peak rin: “it’s none of your business.”
but people notice he wears his wedding ring 24/7 and once smiled (barely) when someone said “your wife,” and fans LOST it.
you are now officially worshiped as the woman who melted the glacier.
itoshi sae
the media genuinely thinks it’s a typo when they find out sae married you. like itoshi sae??? able to love someone other than a soccer ball??? there’s no way he had the social skills for marriage.
headlines are so petty: “itoshi sae ties the knot: sources unsure if he even likes people.”
the sports tabloids zoom into old clips of him smirking mid-match like: “he must’ve been thinking about his wife 🫢”
memes explode overnight: “you: babe, can you smile for the wedding pics? sae: raises one eyebrow slightly”
your first public sighting together is chaotic. he’s pushing a grocery cart with a dead-eyed look while you’re happily picking snacks.
paparazzi snap a blurry photo, and boom: “breaking: itoshi sae domesticated.”
he literally never posts you (for privacy reasons), but when you post a picture of him cuddling you while half-asleep, fans combust: “WAIT he’s a softie for her ONLY???? iconic behavior.”
kaiser michael
he announces your marriage like a mic drop. the german media especially loses their minds.
posts a wedding photo with you on instagram, captioned: “still undefeated. married the hottest woman alive.”
media outlets around the world are scrambling to write articles fast enough.
magazines call you "the only trophy kaiser cares about.”
he does interviews where he says stuff like: “yeah, she’s my best win yet.”
every fan either: 1) cries about losing their delusions, or 2) makes memes of you carrying kaiser bridal-style after his matches.
during games, opponents will yell at him: “your wife’s watching, pretty boy!”
and kaiser just smirks, scores, and points to you in the stands like he’s in a movie.
you literally make him even cockier. he’s insufferable. but also hot about it.
isagi yoichi
the media basically short-circuits when they find out you’re married to him. like, nice boy next door isagi? married already???
they treat it like a scandal: “in today’s shocking development, yoichi isagi – japan’s golden boy – is officially off the market. hearts across the world have shattered.”
twitter is in absolute shambles: “NO WAY isagi’s MARRIED. i thought he was married to FOOTBALL 😭”
and you? you’re just living your best life, chilling while isagi is out here holding your hand proudly at press events like you’re his MVP.
he’s answering interviews all starry-eyed: “yeah! i love my wife! she’s the real reason i win games.”
you even get your own nickname in the press: "japan’s first lady of football.”
whenever you post a picture together, comments are like: “she’s the real endgame. we lost, but we lost to a queen 😭👑”
bachira meguru
everyone immediately falls in love with you, too. like, duh. you’re the perfect match for chaotic sunshine incarnate.
bachira’s announcement? just a pic of you both wearing matching crocs, captioned: “leveled up 💍🎮💖”
every comment is crying about how cute it is.
fans imagine the proposal like: “if i score 3 goals today, will you marry me? 😜”
he makes finger hearts at you from the field. sometimes he even dabs after scoring because you dared him to.
sports anchors have to explain “dab celebrations” on national TV now because of you two.
people call you “his player 2” and it’s so iconic that a brand tries to sponsor you both for matching gamer jerseys.
mikage reo
the media is CONVINCED it was some sort of billionaire merger. tabloids lose their minds speculating about your “secret heiress” identity.
but really? you’re just you. you married reo because he’s a clingy, golden retriever boy that genuinely loves you and treats you well.
he’s so defensive about it in interviews: “it’s not about money!! she’s literally perfect, end of discussion.”
still, fans are clowning: “reo mikage gave up his entire inheritance for his wife. love wins 😭”
reo keeps trying to pretend your life together is “normal” but then slips up like: “yeah, we took the jet to brunch lol.”
you constantly remind him not to flex, but it’s a losing battle. he just loves spoiling you too much.
he wears his wedding ring loudly like it’s a flex on single people.
nagi seishiro
no one is surprised. like, yeah. obviously nagi would get married to his first love.
he reposts a wedding pic you posted because he can’t be bothered making his own announcement.
interviewers ask, “what made you want to settle down?” and he goes: “she’s comfy. i love her.”
fans sob at the simplicity: “nagi just EXISTED and found true love while i’m out here struggling 😭”
you are considered the ultimate cozy queen by the fanbase.
nagi refers to you as “home” and it’s so casually romantic that everyone melts.
he basically just plays games, cuddles you, and naps, living the dream.
karasu tabito
he trolls the entire internet with your marriage reveal.
he posts: “sorry ladies, taken for life 💍🤪” with the hashtag #wifedup.
every comment is roasting him: “you????? married?????? how???”
no one believes him. not until you both post matching wedding rings with the caption: “teamwork makes the dream work 🫶”
sports reporters really don't know if it’s real or just karasu being karasu.
but it doesn’t change the fact that you and karasu become an iconic couple overnight.
karasu’s new favorite hobby is pretending to be a “wife guy” on twitter for clout. like he’ll fake cry on twitter about missing “the single life” while literally posting pictures of you two cuddling under captions like: “can’t go out tonight, gotta watch kdramas with my wife 💔”
fans call you "the MVP who finally fouled karasu’s heart.”
somehow you two are both chaotic and goals at the same time.
though media outlets are still confused whether to take him seriously because karasu’s like a walking clickbait article: “is he joking? is he not? find out on the next episode of karasu being karasu.”

Trophy Boyfriend
Tumblr media
Word count: 450
Pairing: Lando Norris x reader
Summary: Lando Norris fully embraces his role as Y/n L/n’s devoted trophy boyfriend, happily standing in the background while she steals the spotlight.
________________________________________________________
Lando Norris had a lot of titles to his name—Formula 1 driver, McLaren’s golden boy, future world champion (hopefully). But none of them mattered quite as much as the one he held now: Y/n L/n’s boyfriend.
It was a role he took very seriously. Not because he was the main character in this relationship—he wasn’t, not even a little. Y/n was the main event, the superstar, the reason photographers nearly toppled over themselves trying to snap pictures when they walked into a room together.
She was everything. And he was just… well, Lando.
He didn’t mind.
“I love this dress,” he said, watching Y/n twirl in front of the mirror. It was something sleek, designer, probably gifted by a brand that wanted her to post about it.
“You think so?” she mused, adjusting the straps.
“I think,” Lando said, sliding his hands around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder, “that every single person at this event is going to wish they were me.”
Y/n laughed, rolling her eyes. “You’re ridiculous.”
“No, I’m right.” He grinned. “I’m literally dating you. Do you know how crazy that is?”
She turned in his arms, smoothing a hand through his curls. “I have a feeling you’re about to tell me.”
“I mean, look at you,” he continued dramatically. “Gorgeous. Talented. Everyone loves you. And then there’s me—your little trophy boyfriend.”
Y/n raised an eyebrow. “Little?”
“Well, figuratively.” He leaned in closer, voice dropping. “Not literally.”
She smacked his chest, but he could see the way her lips curled up. “Behave.”
“Never,” he murmured, stealing a quick kiss before she could stop him.
The gala was exactly what Lando expected—Y/n’s show, and he was just happy to be a part of it.
People flocked to her the second they arrived, showering her with compliments, gushing over her latest projects, asking for pictures. Lando, in the meantime, sipped his drink and stood a little off to the side, perfectly content to let her shine.
Occasionally, she would reach back for him, lacing their fingers together like a silent reminder: You’re still my favorite person here.
He liked that.
At some point, a well-meaning (but oblivious) businessman clapped Lando on the back and said, “Must be nice, huh? Being with someone like Y/n.”
Lando just grinned. “Mate, I wake up every day and wonder how I pulled it off.”
It was true. He had no delusions about who the star was in this relationship. Y/n walked into a room and owned it, and Lando? He was just happy to be the guy holding her purse when she needed both hands to take a picture.
And honestly? Best gig ever.

Dog with No Teeth // Chapter One
Simon "Ghost" Riley x Female Reader
Chapter Specific Warnings (MDNI): post-apocalypse au, swearing, canon-typical violence, threatening language, death of a minor character
Word Count: 4.6k
Tumblr media
On a scavenging run, two unknown groups arrive unannounced. Through the gunfire, you’re separated, cornered, captured. A skull-faced Lieutenant makes a decision, changing your life forever.
Chapter Two
ao3 // main masterlist // dog with no teeth masterlist
Eden is a home.
It is a person. A place. A community
It is the scent of old musty books, and the quiet peace before the rising dawn.
You work by candlelight in the silent hours, an open book resting on the table in front of you. Wearing gloves to protect it, you carefully turn the page, gaze scanning the faded lettering. Most of it is legible, and with some time and care, you’ll be able to replicate it on new paper with fresh ink.
Preservation.
Not of your mortal life and those that live in your community, but the preservation of humanity, culture, and human history. Five years since the world fell apart, and yet you remain, carrying on with purpose, restoring books, transcribing those that are close to falling apart, and keeping records of the years that came before.
It is enjoyable, fulfilling work but you serve a greater need to your community. Here, within your sanctuary of several hundred people, you provide them entertainment and education. The children come to you for picture books and story time, and the adults visit when they need an escape.
You are but one piece of a large whole.
“What are you doing here so early?”
You glance up, smiling at your assistant. “Could ask the same,” you laugh, pushing back from the table. Standing, you remove your gloves and set them next to the book.
Sam, your archiving assistant yawns. “Thought I’d get here early since you’re going out today with Zac and his group.” They rub at their eyes. “Shouldn’t you be at the gate already?”
“Shit,” you mutter, checking the mechanical clock hanging on the wall. Sam is right. You should be at the gate right now. “Double shit,” you groan.
Sam laughs and reaches for their own gloves. “I’ll handle this.” Putting them on, Sam settles into your chair. “We doing a refurb on this?”
“No,” you say, running around the room, grabbing your jacket and backpack. “Some of the pages are too faded. Binding is also bust.”
“Transcribe then,” murmurs Sam, gently closing the book to inspect the integrity of the cover. “Where are you going again?”
“Zac mentioned a small town they scoped out. No activity.” You walk over to Sam, yanking your jacket on. “He said there’s a library.”
Sam’s head pops up. “Seriously?”
You nod excitedly. “Said the place was locked up tight. Windows still intact.”
“Untouched?” asks Sam, eyebrows rising in surprise. You nod. Sam whistles lowly. “What a fucking find.”
“I know!” you exclaim. “Could really use some encyclopedias.”
“And dictionaries,” adds Sam longingly.
Tugging on the front of your jacket and then smoothing the front, you zip it up. “Zac said I can bring back as much as I want.”
“Did he really?” Sam shakes their head and opens the front cover of the book. “That man is sweet on you.”
“Which is why I take advantage,” you giggle.
Sam bursts out laughing. “Go. They’ll leave you behind.”
With a grin on your face and a hop to your step, you wave at Sam before heading out the side door and into the early morning. The sun is just starting to rise. Most people are still asleep or starting their day. You walk by the communal buildings where the earliest risers are preparing breakfast. You sigh when you get a whiff of what they’re cooking, wishing you could snag a meal before departing.
As you approach the gate, Zac raises his hand in greeting.
“Have I held everyone up?” you ask tentatively, glancing around.
“Not at all. Still loading up a few things. Your timing is perfect.” Zac smiles, and though you find him pleasant, nothing stirs within you. There is no lust or even romantic interest.
You observe the line of cars queued at the gate. Usually there are only one or two, but there are at least ten vehicles here including the salvaged U-Haul. “Taking a whole convoy?”
“We’re going to need it.”
“For a small town?”
Zac chuckles. “I’m dropping you off at the library. Ben will come with you.”
“I get a security detail?” you ask excitedly and Zac nods. “Fancy.”
Zac scratches at his neck, gaze roaming over the convoy. “There’s a car assembly plant a few miles outside the town. Gonna strip what we can. If things go well, we’ll come back.”
“No activity then?”
“None,” confirms Zac. “We’ve had a scouting team out there for the last two months. Not a soul has passed through.”
“That’s fortunate,” you murmur.
While your community has been largely untouched and unbothered by the outside world, there are still so many unknowns. There have been stragglers that have shown up, and while several have been accepted in and integrated, there are many more that have been turned away or shot on sight. Sometimes you think it cruel, but there are all sorts of horrors in the world now.
Ben walks around the front of the nearest car, and beams in your direction. “Hear I’m looking after you today,” he says, going in for a hug.
You accept it easily. Ben is the comedian of the community, always having a kind word and funny joke.
“And helping me haul books,” you add.
Ben winks in your direction and then turns to Zac. “We’re ready.”
Zac nods. “Load up!” he shouts.
Everyone around you heads to their designated vehicle. Engines roar and car doors slam. You follow Ben, hopping into a dusty Jeep Wrangler.
It’s several hours of open road and clear weather.
You and Ben pass the time by singing songs and playing car games. It’s a good distraction until Zac comes on over the radio and tells Ben their exit is coming up. The rest of the convoy drives on as Ben cuts away to take an exit ramp. A few more minutes and he’s coming to a stop just on the edge of town, parking the Jeep amongst a cluster of trees. The vehicle is completely hidden.
“Ready?” he asks, sliding the keys into his pocket.
“Backpack? Check. Gun? Check. Foldable wagon? Check.”
Ben blows raspberries. “Can’t forget the foldable wagon.”
You playfully smack him on the arm. “You want to haul all those books back yourself.”
“No thank you,” he mutters.
The walk is pleasant, but overall silent. Ben carries an M4AI. The arsenal back home is massive, and whenever there are trips outside the compound, the military-grade weapons come out. He keeps his head on a swivel, but other than the occasional animal sounds and the rustling of leaves, all is quiet.
“Here it is,” sighs Ben, extending one arm toward a stand-alone building at the corner of an intersection.
The library isn’t overly big. If anything, it’s what you’d expect from a small town.
“Now I know you’re excited,” he begins, slightly leaning in your direction. “But you stay close. We’re entering from the back.”
All you can do is nod eagerly, words escaping you. It’s been almost six years since you’ve been inside a library. This is a treat. It takes an insane amount of self-control to not skip all the way to the back of the building.
While the front of the building faces the intersection, behind the library is a small parking lot and two dumpsters. Ben does a slow sweep of the lot as the two of you walk toward the employee entrance. Satisfied that nothing and no one is around, Ben lowers his gun. Removing his backpack, he sets it on the ground, and rummages around inside before withdrawing lockpicks.
Adrenaline surges within you.
A few wiggles.
And then—
Click.
Grinning like an idiot, Ben slips the lockpicks into his backpack and puts it on. Grabbing his gun, he presses himself to the brick wall. Slowly, Ben opens the door with the tip of the rifle. It gives under his touch easily, the hinges even silent as the door swings inwards.
“Draw your weapon,” whispers Ben. “We need to do a sweep first.” As you reach for your Glock, Ben shakes his head. “And leave the damn wagon.”
Leaning the foldable wagon against the wall, you remove your gun from its holster. Ben enters and you follow, shifting your body to watch for anything coming up behind you. It’s a slow sweep. Starting along the wall, the two of you walk the perimeter, checking the back offices, and then finally the center-most area.
Ben comes to a stop near a collection of dusty chairs. Lowering his gun, he sighs with relief. “It’s clear.” He turns in your direction. “I’ll be keeping a lookout at the door. If anything happens, you come directly to me.”
“Got it,” you say with a mock salute.
Ben rolls his eyes but he’s smiling. “And don’t drag those books along because I know you will. Leave them.”
You stare him down but Ben doesn’t budge, matching your stare with one of his own. “I mean it. If someone or something comes barreling through the front doors, you fucking run to me. Understood?”
“Sure. Got it. Understood.”
Ben checks his watch. “We have a few hours before we’re expected back at the meet point. Take your time.” He starts to walk away, and then abruptly pivots. “Wife packed a few sandwiches. Promise I’ll share.”
You snort and wave him off. “Bring me my wagon, Ben.”
“On it,” he calls over his shoulder.
As his footfalls recede, you linger in the quiet, dusty library, taking in the significance of the moment. Six years since you’ve stood inside an actual library. Five years since the world fell apart but a year before, third places were quickly disappearing. No one could spend money when wages were low and all the government’s resources were going toward the war effort. Libraries and free spaces shuttered first, losing all their funding.
This place is precious. Special. A rare opportunity.
Of all the books in your community’s collection, they’ve all come to you by the way of others, collected on routine trips and scavenging missions like today. Since stepping inside the walls you now call home, this is the first time you’ve left it. All the stories you receive of the outside world come from the mouths of those who witness it firsthand.
Like a jubilant child, you want to run around—to touch everything. The tips of your fingers buzz with an incessant itch. But you don’t dare remove anything from the shelves. Resisting is almost physically painful as you float through the aisles, taking it all in. To remove a book off the shelf, to open it up, the smell it and feel it would be paradise.
But you know better. You do.
Disturbing them without the right tools and care might cause damage or undo exposure. What you can do is look, to read the spines, and consider your options. Once you know what you want, you’ll drag your little wagon behind you and go about taking the books you want off the shelves.
Ben does leave you alone, and you’re left to wander.
Each step is light but purposeful as you move about the space. You think of everyone back home, of their likes and dislikes, of their needs and wants. More picture books would be helpful as well as some young adult novels. Some of the women have been asking for romance and few of the older folks would like some historical nonfiction.
“Where are you?” you mutter, digging around in your jacket pockets.
Crumpled paper brushes against your fingers. Withdrawing it, you smooth it out as best you can. Using the little light available to read your scribbled penmanship, you pull the wagon behind you, mentally reordering your notes by priority.
Sam wants dictionaries, and you need to grab a set of encyclopedias. Finding the “Reference” section, you survey all your options. Dictionaries and an encyclopedia set are a must, but you also consider the selections of atlases and then the thesaurus collection. The school could really use those resources, and your wagon is large enough to accommodate a few last-minute additions.
Kneeling, you admire the different editions of encyclopedias. Some appear a little worn but otherwise fine. Even though this place hasn’t had power or temperature control in five years, the place was sealed and untouched until you and Ben. It’s likely that everything inside is fine, and all you and Sam will need to do is a rebinding.
You’re completely absorbed, so focused on the tomes in front of you, that the whisper of your name has you spinning around and reaching for your gun.
Ben has his hands up in front of him in a placating gesture. A snarky remark sizzles on your tongue. Ben brings a finger to his mouth in a gesture of silence. Whatever you were going to say dissolves, leaving behind an acrid aftertaste.
Slowly, you swivel your head from side to side but see nothing.
Ben shifts closer, leans in, a glint of fear in his eyes.
“There are people outside,” he whispers.
That’s when you hear it. Distantly, you hear a car door slam, and a muffled shout. The marrow in your bones becomes ice. There are people. There shouldn’t be people.
You swallow, mouth becoming dry. “How many?”
Ben shrugs. “Not sure. But there’s two groups.”
“Two—” You shake your head slightly as that’ll clear your racing thoughts. “What do you mean two groups?”
Ben’s mouth turns downward. It’s an I’m sorry but even that is loaded.
We’re not getting out of this.
There’s a distant hoot of laughter, and then the breaking of glass as if someone’s thrown a beer bottle. It’s still far enough away that you cling to that one comfort. But if they stick around, they might come sniffing. If that happens, you and Ben will be cornered.
Ben nods his head in the direction of the front of the library. Staying low, the two of creep toward the front of the building. There are two sets of double doors. The first set open up into the library and the secondary set of doors lead directly outside. Sandwiched between them is a small atrium. Above the doors are massive windows that bring in natural light.
Out front in the intersection are several beaten up trucks. From what you can see, it’s all men, at least a dozen or two in total. They look haggard. Mean.
“Is that them?” you ask softly.
Ben doesn’t look back at you as he answers. “Just the one. These guys came in loud.” Ben shifts slightly to glance over his shoulder at you. “Surprised you didn’t hear them.”
“Lost in my books.” Ben snorts, and returns his attention to the glass doors. “What about the second group?” you ask tentatively. “Our people?”
Ben eases back a bit. He sits down on the floor, checking over his rifle. “No. Not sure who they are.” He licks his lips, gaze focused on the gun. “They’re all in black. Militarized by the look of them. Organized.”
Two groups. Two different groups.
Ben removes the clip and checks the cartridge. “Only noticed them when one of these guys went around back.” He gestures toward the men directly outside the front doors. “Fucker came out of nowhere and knifed him. Dragged his body away too.”
“Who are they?”
Ben shrugs and rummages in his backpack for a new clip. “No fucking idea. The ones out front might be marauders or slavers or—”
He pauses, gaze growing distant.
“Or what, Ben?” you prompt.
He doesn’t answer, only readies the rifle. “All I know is we need to go.”
All this work, all this effort, suddenly gone.
Your shoulders sag as the reality of the situation sets in. “I have to leave the books. Don’t I?”
“Afraid so,” replies Ben. But he smiles, and though he’s trying, you see the strain. “Next time I’ll make sure to bring you and Sam some books.”
“Promise?”
“Promise,” he affirms. “Let’s go.”
At the back door, you withdraw your Glock, posting up beside Ben. He cracks it open. Pauses. Opens it a little wider. He carefully sticks a small hand mirror out the opening. He turns it left then right then back again.
“Clear” he says, voice barely above a whisper.
He exits slowly, and then gestures with his hand. You step outside, squinting slightly as your eyes adjust to the light. Ben starts to cross the parking lot, heading for the exit furthest from the intersection.
The voices of the men are louder out here. A tiny bubble of panic blooms. Then simmers. Then boils.
There is no one around. No one. And yet—
A loud crack splits the air. The wall next to Ben explodes, tiny fragments of debris bursting outward. Ben stumbles backward. He grabs for you. And tugs.
You’re yanked to the side, and then spun around.
Time seems to slow, and yet everything occurs so quickly you don’t entirely comprehend what’s happened until Ben shoves the two of you behind a nearby dumpster.
“Oh, fuck,” you breathe. “Ben. We—”
Horror floods your lungs.
Blood.
Everything. Dripping from tiny holes in Ben’s body.
“Oh my god. Ben.”
You reach for him, but there are so many impact points. Too many.
“Go,” he gasps. “Go.”
“I’m not leaving you here.”
As the words leave your mouth, a barrage of bullets bite into the wall directly over your head.
“Here,” he rasps, handing you the keys to the Jeep. “Leave me and fucking run. I’ll distract them.”
Shouting breaks out nearby followed by what seems like a never-ending deluge of gunfire.
Your eyes burn. “You promised me books.”
He smiles, and there’s more red than white. “You know I always deliver on my promises.”
With a groan that’s more a cry of pain, Ben stands and reloads with a new clip.
“Go,” he whispers just as he steps out from around the dumpster, gun firing.
You turn. Take off. Gunfire follows.
It comes from everywhere, but you don’t falter, don’t pause to check your surroundings. You’re not a raging bull or an agile cheetah. You are pure frenzy, pure panic, like a rabbit running from fox teeth.
“Fucking grab her!” someone yells. “Grab her!”
You don’t know if it’s the marauders or the men all in black, but there is little reason to consider who.
Survival is paramount. Survival is eternal.
In a world like this, survival is lifeblood.
It is everything.
With lungs burning and muscles screaming, you aim for the houses, knowing you can lose them if you scuttle through the overgrown backyards.
The blow comes out of nowhere.
You witness a brief taste of freedom.
And then it’s yanked right from under you.
A body barrels into you, knocking you sideways. The ground comes up fast. You throw up your arms to protect your head and face. It cushions but protects little else. You hit hard.
“Come here,” growls a male voice. Hands are on you. Grabbing. Twisting. “Let me get a good look at you.”
You kick out. Throw your fists in all directions.
“Stop your fussing.”
A quick blow to the face and you’re circling, everything becoming temporarily blurry as the person atop you brings your vision skyward.
 “Look at you,” he laughs.
It’s one of the marauders. He smiles down at you, teeth brown and grey from decay.
“Pretty thing. Gonna look cute choking on my—”
His nefarious smile drops as the rest of him stiffens. You freeze, staring up in shock as you try to figure out what’s happened. It’s a slow unfolding. A trickle. Blood begins to pool in his mouth and then it drip drip drips onto your face.
With a soft cry, you wiggle out from under him as he tips over, falling into the grass. Scrambling backward, you start to push up onto your knees, muscles poised to keep moving.
“Don’t move.” A gun barrel presses into the back of your head. It’s still warm. “Get up.”
A pair of black boots come into view. Your gaze slowly ascends. Black boots give way to black pants to a black bullet proof vest to a black balaclava. The only part of him you can see are his eyes.
Someone grabs the back of your neck. It’s a harsh hold, and you’re yanked to your feet. You twist your neck and find another man, this one almost identical to the one in front of you. This is the other group Ben spotted, the ones tracking the marauders.
The one holding your neck squeezes and the other reaches for you. “Fucking move and I’ll shoot you.”
You remain perfectly still—perfectly silent as he pats you down. The knife in your boot is confiscated along with your Glock. When they snatch the Jeep keys, you instinctually reach to take them back.
“Told you not to fucking move.”
The man slaps your hand down and you feel the muzzle return to your head.
“Sorry,” you murmur.
He stares you down for a long moment. It gives you an opportunity to observe him, and his companion. They both wear identical all-black tactical even down to the patches attached to their biceps. The bottom one you recognize. Both American flags. The one above it is eerily similar but you can’t entirely place it. It’s an azimuthal projection of the earth but a top view from the North Pole. Beneath it are two olive branches.
The stranger’s gaze shifts to just above you. He jerks his head, and then you’re shoved forward without warning. With each of them holding an arm, you’re half-dragged back to the intersection the marauders were at.
While their rusty trucks are still there, they aren’t alone. Four armored trucks are parked in a semi-circle around the marauders’ cars. More men in all-black tactical gear prowl the area. Of the first group to arrive, those that aren’t dead have been zip tied and lined up in a row on their stomachs, faces pressed into the asphalt.
When one of them moves, they’re kicked until they fall back into compliance.
“Found this one out by the houses,” says the man holding onto your left arm.
Soldiers. They have to be. This isn’t some ragtag group. They wear uniforms, all of which are perfectly maintained. Even the armored trucks are in decent condition.
A small trio of them standing nearby turn.
The centermost soldier speaks. “A woman?” His surprise is clear. And like the two men who hold you, this man too has an American flag.
He nods toward the group of facedown marauders. “These fuckers don’t let their breeders out of their sight.”
Breeders.
You almost snarl, bite back with an insult. But you keep your mouth shut. Their intentions are unclear, and you’re without a weapon. Entirely powerless.
Survival. Always survival.
He takes a few steps forward, approaching you, gaze assessing. Behind the balaclava, he gives you a once over. “Looks healthy,” he observers. Without warning, he grabs your face. You jerk back, and he clucks his tongue. “Stop moving.”
Turning your face to the left and then to the right, the middle of his brow creases. “Open your mouth.”
You glower, and don’t comply.
He grabs your nose, shutting off your air. You gasp, mouth opening.
“Has all her teeth,” he announces, dropping his hand. “Can’t be one of theirs.”
“We need to show the Lieutenant,” says the soldier to your right.
The man before you stares, and keeps staring. “Do we?”
You don’t like the implication.
“What’s this?”
A deep, masculine voice cuts through the air. It is accented. British. Every head turns, and the soldiers straighten, shoulders back and heads held high.
The man holding your left arm speaks up. “Found her running toward the houses, Lieutenant.”
All the soldiers wear plain black balaclavas. Simple. Straightforward. But the man who steps into view has a skull face stitched into his. A fucking skull.
Instead of an American flag, it’s a Union Jack.
His brown eyes behind the mask narrow. “They don’t bring their women out.”
“That’s what I said.”
“Are their numbers that low?”
“With how we’ve been picking them off I wouldn’t be surprised.”
They bicker back and forth, arguing about you but not actually talking to you.
“I’m not with them,” you say, and they all go silent.
Skull Face glowers. “You’re not?”
“I was running from them.” You glance between the soldiers who shot the man. “They’ll tell you. They’re the ones that shot him.”
Skull Face appears unmoved. “Doesn’t mean you’re not with them.”
You laugh, and it sounds a bit hysterical. “Why would I be fucking running if I were with them? Wouldn’t I be shooting back at you?”
“No,” he replies flatly. “If you were with them, you’d be bloody running from them. Not shooting at us.”
“She has to be with them. There’s no one else here.” The man who speaks up this time is directly to Skull Face’s right. The accent is different. Scottish.
“I came with one other. Those men shot at us.”
Ben. Oh. Sweet Ben.
“And where are they?” asks Skull Face.
You swallow, knowing the truth. “Behind the library. Parking lot. Near the dumpster.”
Skull Face locks gazes with another solider and nods. Two men break off, heading in that direction. He returns his attention to you. “Who are these men?”
“What?” you ask, perplexed.
“These men.” He points to the facedown marauders. “Who are they?”
These men are strangers to you. “Slavers?” When no one confirms or denies, you guess again. “Cannibals?”
“She’s playing dumb,” mutters the Scots.
“Hush, Soap,” mutters Skull Face.  “Who are they? What name do they go by? It’s an easy question. Everyone knows it.”
You shake your head. “I—I don’t know.”
Lieutenant Skull Face leans in, lowering his voice. “If you don’t answer truthfully, you and I can have an extended chat in the back of one of these trucks.”
“She had these.” The Jeep keys are tossed, and he catches them without looking. “And this.” The Glock is presented.
Soap takes the Glock. He turns it over. “They don’t give their women weapons, Ghost.”
So, Skull Face is named Ghost. Fitting.
“No,” he agrees. “Makes it easier for them to fight back.”
The very idea sobers you.
“Who are they?” you ask, feeling safe enough to do so.
Ghost glances up from the car keys. “Your worst fucking nightmare.”
“Lieutenant!” The two men that left for the library return. Jogging forward, they speak in low voices.
Ben is not with them. Ben is—
Ghost nods and steps back. “We’re taking her with us.” The two men holding onto your arms let go and Ghost immediately grabs hold of your shoulder, pulling you forward.
“Pick three of these bastards at random,” he announces, gesturing toward the facedown men. “Put them in Delta truck. Shoot the rest.”
Ghost’s hand at your shoulder slides up, grasping the back of your neck. He leans in close—so close you can pick out the little flecks of gold in his brown irises.
“You’re riding with me.”

you land in dallas mad as hell. at yourself, at the weather, at the stupid ass decision to book this flight in the first place.
you said you wouldn’t come.
you promised yourself that you would let her go. let her leave uconn, let her grow up, let her start over without you.
but you’ve always been way too weak when it comes to her.
the air hits different the second you step out the airport. hotter. heavier. like even the wind knows you’re both here now.
you check into the hotel. hoodie up, sunglasses on. you act like she might see you in the goddamn lobby even though she’s already said in an interview she’s moving in somewhere.
you try to kill time. go for a walk. hit a smoothie spot. wander downtown.
and still—she’s everywhere.
her rookie poster’s on a billboard right off elm street. mouth parted. eyes locked in. all attitude and promise.
you look away too fast. like the city’s doing this just to remind you of everything.
you step into a store to cool off. and of course she’s on tv inside. a highlight reel running on loop. the strap of her jersey slipping off her shoulder in slow motion. smile all teeth as she laughs with her new teammates. your stomach drops as it switches to her post practice interview.
“you play minnesota tomorrow, that one’s gonna mean a lot.”
she smirks at the camera, “yeah i’m really grateful for the experience, i wanna show out for them and my new organization.”
you leave. can’t breathe. can’t think properly. your chest is on fire.
you swore you’d stay invisible, sit in the nosebleeds, just see her with your own eyes one last time. nothing more. no texts. no calls. no more damage.
but dallas already feels like her hands, like her breath on your neck, like her voice in your head saying “you’ll never outrun me, baby.”
and deep down? you already knew. you didn’t fly here just to watch. you came here to break your own heart again.
you make it back to the hotel by seven.
door locked, curtains shut, and tv playing some random movie just for background noise.
it’s quiet. too quiet.
like the city went still just to let your thoughts eat you alive.
you sit on the bed. scroll through your phone.
see the game promo again.
“bueckers vs the hometown,” her face lit up in the picture. still cocky. still so goddamn beautiful.
your hands start shaking.
you throw the phone on the bed behind you.
pace the room.
turn the ac colder.
peel your hoodie off.
still sweating.
you feel like you’re gonna throw up, like your chest is caving in, like you should’ve never come here in the first place.
but you also knew you couldn’t stay away.
you sit down again, hugging your knees.
bite your lip so hard you taste blood.
you cannot go to that game.
you cannot see her.
hear the crowd scream her name.
watch her in her element like she didn’t fuck you up just a few weeks ago when she left.
you cover your face, try to breathe.
in.
out.
in—
nothing.
your heart won’t chill. your brain’s too loud.
it’s all her, her, her.
what if she sees you?
what if she doesn’t?
what if she’s already moved on?
what if you can’t?
you cry, just a little though.
quiet. alone.
not because you’re still in love with her.
but because that love never got to end right.
it just dragged.
split open and left you both bleeding and calling it normal.
you crawl under the covers around midnight. heart still pounding. eyes burning. you tell yourself you won’t go. you’ll just stay in bed. maybe fly home early. maybe even try to explore the city again.
you wake up slower than you expected.
no panic, no cold sweat—just sunlight slipping past the curtains and the hum of the city outside. your body’s tired, but your mind is strangely still.
you don’t feel good, exactly.
but you feel better. like maybe the worst already passed, and now all that’s left is this moment.
you get up, shower too long, and spend forever picking an outfit, even though you told yourself this was supposed to be lowkey.
but you put the cargo pants on anyway.
the black ones she used to sneak her hands into when she thought no one was looking. you pull your hair back into a slick ponytail, clean and tight.
the mirror doesn’t lie—you look good.
good enough to be noticed.
you leave the hotel and hit a store three blocks down, just to browse, but you walk out with a bueckers jersey in your bag. but not the uconn one.
not the one you used to wear religiously.
this one’s fresh. navy and green. number five bold across the back.
you swore you wouldn’t go that far.
but your heart was never good at boundaries.
you slide your airpods in and hit shuffle on the playlist you swore you wouldn’t touch again. the one with all your shared songs. all the slow ones, the loud ones, the late-night-in-the-car windows-down ones.
and just like that, she’s in your ears again.
singing along off-key.
hand on your thigh at a red light.
you walk through the city like a ghost. one foot in the past, the other chasing whatever this is. and you don’t stop until you’re at the arena.
ticket pulled up on ticketmaster, heart in your throat, and her name already on your skin.
you find your seat thirty minutes before tipoff. lower bowl. row eight. center court.
close enough to see the sweat on her forehead, but far enough that she won’t notice you right away.
the arena’s smaller than the big ones—but louder somehow. intimate. packed. already hers.
you sink into the seat and try to act like your heart’s not rattling in your chest. like you’re not gripping the edge of the chair every time she dribbles past your side.
like you don’t still know the way her legs look in motion better than your own name.
paige looks locked in. bun tight. jaw clenched. dallas practice gear fitting like it was made for her.
she’s warming up with the rest of the team—all business, all rhythm. that is until she runs past the sideline closest to you.
she hesitates. just for a second. like she felt something.
but she doesn’t look.
not yet.
the lights go down, introductions start. crowd roars and the music blasts and her name gets called last.
number five, paige bueckers.
and you’re on your feet before anyone else. just like old times. hands clapping, the feeling of knowing your voice would be gone from cheering, chest open like it was never broken.
you don’t even think about it. your body just moves. like natural instinct.
and that’s when she sees you.
at first, she freezes. not completely. just—a pause. mid-step. blink too long. eyes stuck on one face in the crowd.
no way.
she looks away quick.
blinks again.
shakes her head.
keeps moving.
gets into the huddle, but her heart’s in her throat now.
is she seeing things? did the lights play with her head? there’s no way you’re here. no way you flew out. no way you’re sitting in the stands, in her jersey, cheering for her like nothing ever changed.
but then she hears you again. first one screaming when she hits that first three. the same way you used to in storrs. like the shot belonged to you, too.
and now she can’t ignore it. she glances back once. sees the ponytail. the cargos. the goddamn smirk.
her chest stutters, her vision flickers.
for a second, she’s not in dallas. she’s not a rookie. she’s back home in connecticut with you.
you. it’s really you.
and the whole game changes. her hands tighten around the ball. her steps get sharper—sharper than they’ve ever been.
because you’re here and she can’t fuck this up now.
she plays like she’s got something to prove, and she’s convinced she does. because you’re still watching.
and if you’re watching—there’s still time.
Tumblr media
she’s locked in when the anthem ends. or at least she’s supposed to be. first game. rookie debut. full house. new home court.
but her skin’s buzzing, and it’s not the nerves. it’s not the cameras or the crowd or the lights too bright on her face. it’s you.
she saw you, she knows she saw you.
you were on your feet, clapping like you used to, yelling her name like it was yours.
tight ponytail. cargos she loved to pull down slow. her jersey on your back like nothing ever changed.
and now she’s out here pretending to breathe normal. pretending to listen in the huddle. pretending her heart’s not punching against her ribs so hard it hurts.
coach is talking about defense at halftime—about switching on screens, about setting the tone early—but all paige can think about is the way your eyes lit up when she hit her first three. that split second when she let herself glance over and saw your face break into the kind of smile she hasn’t seen in weeks.
she told herself she was done. she swore after the last time that this was it. she was moving on. new city. new chapter. clean slate.
but you being here? you just being here ruins all of that.
because now her stomach’s twisted. now her shot feels too heavy in her hands.
now every time she drives to the rim, she swears she sees you out the corner of her eye, front row, lips parted, hands clenched in your lap.
and it’s not just seeing you—it’s what seeing you does to her.
because you didn’t just show up.
you dressed for her.
you put her name on your back again.
you made sure she’d know exactly what you came for.
and now she’s pissed.
not at you—never really at you, but at herself.
for not being able to let go, for knowing exactly what it means that you’re here, and still acting like it doesn’t matter.
she tries to shake it off. gets a steal, runs the break, finishes with a clean layup. crowd roars. she slaps hands with her teammates. it should feel good.
but when she glances over and sees you nodding, biting your lip, pride all over your damn face—she forgets how to breathe again.
she can’t unsee you. can’t unfuck the memory of your moans. can’t stop thinking about the last time she had you pressed up against your kitchen counter, saying her name like it was gospel, like it still meant everything.
and it fucks with her.
all game long.
her passes are now a second late. her eyes keep drifting to your row. even when she tells herself not to. even when she reminds herself she’s done.
and then there’s the jealousy. because she’s not stupid. she knows you’ve probably got someone new now. knows that little break between when she left and now was enough time for someone else to slide in.
someone else got to touch what’s her’s.
but if that’s true—why the fuck are you here?
why would you fly to dallas? why wear her jersey? why cheer for her like that?
every look you throw her during the game sets her on fire. it makes her play harder, faster, sharper.
she starts talking more shit on the court. starts clapping in defenders’ faces. starts calling for the iso plays just to show out in front of you.
because if you’re gonna sit there and watch—then she’s gonna make damn sure you you stay watching her.
she hits a step-back mid-third quarter and doesn’t even celebrate. just turns, locks eyes with you, and raises her eyebrows making sure you were still watching.
your reaction is instant. you stand again, biting that same damn lip, hands in your hair now like she’s stressing you out. she watches your mouth form the word fuck.
she almost laughs, almost loses her cool completely.
and that’s when it hits her—she’s not mad that you’re here. she’s not confused. she’s relieved.
because now she doesn’t have to pretend. doesn’t have to fake that she’s moved on. doesn’t have to lie to herself every night and say she’s fine without you.
you’re here.
you came.
and that means you’re not over her either.
and that’s all she needed. all she ever wanted. just to know she wasn’t the only one stuck.
the game ends with a dallas win and she’s still staring at you.
from the bench. from the court. from the corner of her eyes. trying to figure out if you’ll stay.
and deep down she already knows. you didn’t fly here just to leave.
not a chance.
you’re not leaving yet. not before you see her up close. not before you break each other open again.
the second the game ended, her crashed.
not physically—her body’s still moving, still running on adrenaline, dap after dap, towel slung over her shoulder, head nods to the fans, cameras flashing left and right. but inside? she’s spiraling. full speed.
because you’re still sitting in that seat. because she caught you watching her walk off. because she knows you’re not leaving until you see her again.
and that should make her feel good. should be a win. but all she feels is the slow, familiar burn of what the fuck happens now.
the locker room’s loud. music bumping. celebration in the air—first game, first win. everyone’s hyped.
but she’s quiet.
sits on the bench with her jersey half pulled up, legs stretched out, towel over her head like she’s cooling off. but she’s not tired. she’s thinking.
and thinking always leads back to you.
“yo, p,” dijonai yells from across the locker room, half-laughing, but watching her too close, “you good? you look like you saw a ghost mid-game.”
paige doesn’t answer right away. just rubs her hands over her face and lets out a breath that’s too shaky to be chill.
arike’s next, leans back in the chair, smirking a little, “nah, look she’s in her feelings. she’s going through something.”
“shut up,” paige mutters, not even defensive. just exhausted. because they’re right. they’re so right.
“damn,” dijonai says, eyebrows raising, “it’s really like that?”
paige shakes her head, like maybe if she moves fast enough, the thoughts will fall out. but they don’t. you’re stuck in there, just like always.
“she was here,” paige mumbles finally. quiet. soft. like the words hurt just to say.
they both freeze, look at each other, then back at her.
“who?”
“you know who.”
“oh.”
paige leans forward, elbows on knees, staring at the floor like it’s gonna give her an answer.
“i didn’t know she was coming,” she says, “like, she didn’t say shit. she just showed up. i looked up and there she was. in my fuckin jersey.”
arike lets out a low whistle.
dijonai nods slow, like it makes sense now.
“that’s crazy,” dijonai says. “how you feel about it?”
paige laughs, bitter and breathless. how does she feel? she doesn’t even know the answer.
“i don’t know,” she lies first but then her mouth starts moving. like her chest can’t hold it anymore, “i wanted her here. i wanted her to care enough to come. and she did. but now all i can think about is how bad it’s gonna hurt when she leaves again.”
no one says anything. just silence thick between the three.
she looks up, eyes glossy but hard, voice lower now. heavier, “i still want her,” she admits, “like, still want her. and that’s the fucking problem.”
dijonai leans in, not joking anymore, “so why’d y’all stop?”
paige shrugs, jaw tight, “we were toxic as hell. we fought all the time. jealous. possessive. too much history, too much pain. but it was always real. and when it was good—fuck, it was so good.”
she runs her hand through her hair. laughs again, but it sounds like she might cry.
“she made me feel like home. like the only version of myself i actually liked. but we kept breaking each other and pretending it was love.”
arike’s quiet for a minute. then she says, “but she’s here. after all that, she still came.”
paige nods, eyes stinging.
“i know,” she whispers, “and that’s what’s killing me.”
she looks back down. lets herself feel it now. lets the pain bloom in her chest without fighting it off.
“’cause if she walks out again, i don’t know if i can keep pretending it didn’t matter. like i didn’t just see the love of my life sitting courtside, looking at me like she never stopped being mine.”
the room moves around her. teammates laughing, music still thumping.
but paige is somewhere else. in your arms. on your couch. in your bed pressing her lips to your collarbone and whispering promises she knew she couldn’t keep.
she closes her eyes.
she wants to go out there and see you. wants to touch you. wants to tell you everything she just said in here.
but she’s scared. scared that wanting you again is a mistake. scared it’ll feel perfect, just like before—right up until it breaks again.
and still… she knows she’ll go. knows she’ll look for you the second she changes.
because this is you. and when it comes to you, paige bueckers has never known how to stay away.
Tumblr media
paige doesn’t leave the locker room right away.
she paces behind the row of lockers, pulling her hoodie on slow, hands shaking like she just finished playing a double-overtime game. she keeps checking her phone even though there’s nothing new. no texts. no missed calls. no you.
dijonai squeezes her shoulder as she passes. arike throws her a look telling her to go.
so she breathes. and then breathes again. and finally forces herself to leave.
the walk to the hallway is the longest one she’s ever taken. every step feels like a gamble. because she knows there’s a fifty-fifty shot she’s about to get her heart cracked open in public.
what if you already left? what if you saw enough and bounced? what if she blew it, and this was your way of giving her closure without saying a damn word?
she rounds the corner, chewing her lip, hoodie pulled low over her eyes—and freezes.
you’re still there. right outside the double doors. leaning against the wall, arms crossed, expression unreadable.
her chest pulls tight.
you’re in her jersey and you stayed. you really stayed. but she plays it cool, she has to. walks up slow. hands in her pockets. eyes soft but guarded.
“hey.”
you look up, and for a second she sees it. sees that flicker of something real in your eyes. but then your face smooths out and you say, “congrats.”
your voice doesn’t shake, but hers nearly does. “thanks,” she murmurs, kicking her foot lightly against the floor, “wasn’t expecting to see you here.”
you shrug. like this is nothing. like it didn’t take everything in you to show up. but that’s not important now.
“you played good,” you say, eyes skating past her, then right back again.
she nods. tries not to let the silence stretch too long between you. tries to find the version of her voice that won’t sound so desperate.
“can we… talk?” it comes out too fast, too quiet. then she clears her throat and says again, steadier, “you wanna come by the house?”
she was playing her cards smart, you both knew that. she wanted to talk and to have you back in her home again and with her.
you blink. and for a second she thinks you might say no. might shut it down before she even gets a chance.
but you just nod. once. sharp. like you don’t trust your own voice either.
and just like that, you’re walking side by side again. just like that, it’s her and you in motion. i again.
but this time feels different, heavier. like both of you are holding something inside your mouths and neither of you wanna be the first to spit it out.
you don’t touch. not even close. but the energy between your bodies is unbearable. her hand brushes yours once and she swears she hears you exhale.
she doesn’t look at you. she keeps her eyes forward, jaw tight, throat dry.
the whole walk through the tunnel is quiet.
but not empty.
she wants to say something. she wants to reach out. wants to pull you into her and ask you why you stayed, why you came, why you’re doing this again.
but instead, she says nothing. because she’s scared of what you’ll say back.
because she knows once it starts, it won’t stop.
you make it to the lot. paige hits the unlock button and the lights flash. you both flinch at the same time.
she opens the passenger door for you but doesn’t look at you. just stands there, waiting.
you climb in slow as she walks around the front and gets in next to you.
and for a second, in the low light of the car, she lets herself feel it.
you.
this.
the weight of your presence beside her.
the smell of your skin and the heat of your body and the fact that you’re here again, in her space, in her life.
she starts the car, doesn’t drive yet, just grips the steering wheel and stares ahead.
“you look good,” she says, voice raw, like it’s been buried under too much silence.
you don’t say anything back, but you don’t look away either.
and in the stillness of the car, as the engine hums beneath her feet, she fights the urge to reach for your thigh, to pull your hand into hers, to kiss you stupid right here in the lot.
but she doesn’t. not yet.
you both stay quiet. both pretending it’s no big deal. both drowning in all the things you won’t say.
and when she finally pulls out onto the road, all she can think about i s how long she’s waited to be this close to you again.
and how dangerous it is that you said yes, that you came, that you’re sitting beside her and pretending you’re not just as ruined.
the city passes in flashes. neon signs. red lights. the occasional burst of headlights from the opposite lane. you’re watching it all through the window like you’re in a dream, like none of it feels real.
paige is calm now or at least pretending to be.
one hand on the wheel, other draped lazily over her thigh. eyes on the road, lips twitching like she might say something, then thinks better of it.
finally, she speaks, “so, uh how long you in town?”
your heart flinches at the question, even though it’s casual. you keep your eyes forward, “just for the game,” you lie not even well because for a second there’s that smirk that knows you only bought a one way ticket. your voice sounds thin, like it’s trying to hide how heavy your chest feels.
she hums, nods slow, “cool. i mean cool that you made time. that you came out.”
you glance at her. she’s not looking back. her jaw’s tight. her knuckles a little whiter on the wheel than before.
“dallas suits you,” you say, softer.
she lets out a short laugh. not sarcastic—just surprised.
“you think so?”
you nod, turning back to the window, “yeah. you look settled.”
it’s not a compliment, not really. you just don’t know how else to say “you seem different.”
she catches it anyway, always did read between your words too well.
“settled doesn’t mean happy,” she says. and that’s the first honest thing either of you has said since the hallway. but then she flips the vibe again, like she regrets letting you in for even one second.
“you still working that job that was killin’ your sleep schedule?” she asks, voice light again.
you nod, “yeah. still can’t sleep past 5 a.m.”
she huffs a laugh, shakes her head, “some things don’t change.”
and for a minute, it almost feels like old times. like you’re just driving home from her practice. like there’s no breakup. no history. no heartbreak in the middle of the console.
she reaches out and adjusts the air vents and you have to pretend not to notice how that same hand used to rest on your thigh every time she drove.
“you still listen to our playlist?” she asks suddenly, and it’s almost a challenge. you swallow, “yeah.”
she nods, barely, like that answer mattered more than she wants to admit, “me too.”
silence again. but it’s not uncomfortable. not as much as it should be.
you’re both better at this than you should be. better at pretending it’s nothing. better at pretending you’re not dying to ask the questions neither of you can afford to hear the answers to.
you see her exhale slowly, grip loosening just a little on the wheel. the further she gets from the court, from the team, from the memory of you in the stands—the more armor she puts back on.
by the time she pulls into the driveway, she’s damn near stone. cool. smooth. unbothered. mask on. voice leveled. like she didn’t spend the last hour remembering what your skin smells like.
she parks, lets the engine idle, doesn’t move to get out right away. you unbuckle. she does too. but neither of you opens the door.
you both just sit there, quiet again, staring forward. the house looming in front of you, waiting for what’s coming next.
her voice breaks the stillness first.
“you ready to come in?”
you nod, heartbeat heavy. but you don’t say yes. you just reach for the door handle. and her fingers twitch like she almost stopped you. like she almost touched you. but she doesn’t. she can’t. because the moment she touches you—you’ll both stop pretending.
the door shuts behind you with a low click. it’s quiet inside. not cold, but still bare. the kind of quiet that says someone’s here, but not settled. not rooted.
you toe off your sneakers near the door, not even thinking about it. you’ve done this before. your body remembers even if your heart’s still catching up.
paige drops her keys on the counter and shrugs off her hoodie, throwing it over the back of the couch. her place smells like her. detergent and sweat and something earthy. you try not to let it hit too deep.
“it’s still a mess,” she mutters, waving a hand at the half-built shelf in the corner, boxes by the wall, basketballs everywhere, one of her shoes on the kitchen counter for some reason.
you raise an eyebrow, “looks about right.”
she smirks, just a little. leans on the opposite side of the island as you pull yourself onto a barstool, thighs sticking to the leather. her arms fold across her chest, like she’s trying to make the distance feel like control.
“wasn’t expecting company,” she adds.
you nod slowly, rest your elbows on the counter, “wasn’t expecting to be here.”
paige tilts her head. lets the silence stretch. then says, too casually, “so why are you?”
you blink. it’s not a soft question. it’s not cruel either. just too careful. too light. like she’s trying to sneak it past your defenses. you stare at her. try to read her face, but her expression is all calm.
your heart’s doing too much. your brain is screaming but your mouth moves anyway. “i don’t know,” you lie, even though you do.
paige huffs a laugh and leans forward on her elbows, “bullshit.”
your brows lift, “what?”
“you do know,” she says, voice low but firm. “you’re not the type to just pull up to a game in a city you don’t live in for fun. especially mine.”
you look away. jaw clenching. you don’t want to start this here.
“it was your debut,” you say.
“so?”
“so i came.”
“why?” she presses again.
and it hits different this time. like she needs to know now. like her hands are tightening on the wheel again. you look back at her. eyes sharp.
“why do you care?”
her expression doesn’t change. but something flickers. something quiet. something raw. “just asking,” she shrugs, and that shrug sends heat through your ribs. because it’s not just a shrug. it’s armor. it’s her way of hiding again.
you scoff.
“you always do that.”
her brows pull together, “do what?”
you laugh, but it’s bitter “act like you don’t care. act like nothing ever touches you.”
she straightens up, arms still crossed, “what do you want me to do, huh? cry? beg?” you shake your head, fingers gripping the edge of the counter, “i want you to stop pretending like this doesn’t mean anything to you.”
paige’s jaw flexes, “you think it doesn’t?” she shoots back, voice still low but tighter now. “you think it was easy for me to see you in that crowd, knowing you weren’t mine anymore?”
your chest squeezes. but she doesn’t stop.
“you think it was easy not to touch you in the tunnel? not to pull you into me right there and forget all the shit we never fixed?”
your throat’s dry, your fingers tremble.
“then why didn’t you?” you ask.
and your voice is small now.
real. scared.
paige looks at you for a long second, eyes sharp but glassy. then drops her gaze.
“because i didn’t wanna make it worse.”
you swallow hard. the space between you feels like fire now.
“i wanted you to care,” you whisper.
“i do care,” she says, louder. “fuck, you think i don’t? you think i haven’t been thinking about you every damn night since i left?”
your lips part, but she keeps going.
“i see you in every goddamn city. every time i lace up. i hear a song and i think about you. i can’t even take a nap without dreaming about your dumb ass and the way you always steal the blankets.”
your eyes sting.
“then why’d you leave like that?” you ask, voice cracking.
paige laughs bitterly, “you know why.”
you shake your head.
“no. i don’t. all i know is you left and then started pretending like we weren’t even real.”
she pushes off the counter, running a hand through her hair, pacing once before turning back.
“because if i didn’t pretend, i wouldn’t survive it.”
you stare at her.
your breath catches.
and for a second, neither of you speak.
then paige’s voice drops, quiet again. tired.
“i’m sorry,” she says. “i didn’t know how to love you from a distance. so i acted like i didn’t.”
you wipe your face. don’t even remember starting to cry.
she walks around the island. slow. careful.
stands in front of you, hands hovering like she wants to reach for you but isn’t sure if she’s allowed.
“i don’t know how to be around you without falling,” she says. “and i’m so fucking tired of pretending it doesn’t kill me to see you.”
you look up at her. and for the first time in months, she looks like yours again. and it’s terrifying.
you don’t move at first. just sit there with your face tilted up toward her, cheeks wet, throat burning. and she looks down at you like she’s seeing a ghost. like you’re everything she ran from and everything she missed all at once.
then her thumb brushes your jaw. soft. trembling. and she leans in like it hurts to get close, but not getting close would kill her. she kisses your tears. one at a time. and then all over; forehead, cheek, chin, nose. not rushed. not desperate.
like she’s making up for every time she didn’t show up, for every time she closed herself off when you needed her open. you exhale, shaky, aching. your fingers curl around the hem of her shirt, tugging her closer like muscle memory.
“it’s okay,” you whisper, your voice cracks right through both of you, “just let me in, p.”
her breath hitches and then she’s crumbling. her forehead drops to yours and she’s crying now. not loud. not messy. just quiet tears that feel like thunder in your chest.
you wrap your arms around her middle, pull her into you, and she sinks.
into your lap, into your body, into the only place she’s ever truly felt like she could fall apart.
“i fucked everything up,” she whispers, her voice breaking in a way you’ve never heard. not even the night she left.
you run a hand up her back. slow. grounding.
“no, baby,” you say, brushing your lips against her hair. “we both did.”
she shakes her head, fingers gripping your shirt like it’s the only thing keeping her from falling through the floor.
“i got scared,” she admits. “when the draft came, when everything got real—that i was leaving connecticut—i didn’t know how to hold onto you and chase this shit at the same time.”
you blink through your own tears, “so you let me go.”
“i thought it would make it easier,” she says, and it sounds like a confession she’s been holding in for months, “i told myself distance would help. that cutting you off clean would hurt less than dragging it out.”
you close your eyes, bite your lip. “but it didn’t.”
she shakes her head.
“no. it made everything worse. i kept waking up expecting you to be there. i kept wanting to tell you about shit—practice, media, everything—and then remembering i couldn’t.”
you tilt her chin up, make her look at you.
“you could’ve,” you say. “i would’ve picked up.”
her eyes are red, lashes clumped.
“i thought you hated me.”
you suck in a breath, “i did,” you admit, soft. “for a minute. but mostly, i just missed you.”
her hands find yours and squeeze. tight.
“i hated seeing you with someone else,” she says suddenly. it’s a whisper, but it punches through the room.
you nod, “i hated hearing about the girl in your insta story two days ago.”
paige blinks. her mouth twitches.
“she’s just a friend. her brother plays for the mavericks. she was helping me move a dresser.”
you stare at her. try to believe it. try to let it be that simple. and for once, she lets you in without resistance.
“i didn’t fuck her,” she adds, eyes locked on yours. “i haven’t touched anyone since you.”
your chest caves in.
“i wish i could say the same,” you whisper.
paige swallows hard.
“was it serious?” she asks.
you shake your head, “no. it was nothing.”
she nods like she understands. she hates it, but understands.
“it felt like dying,” she says. “seeing you with her. but i couldn’t say anything. not after the way i left.”
your fingers brush her cheek. her skin’s warm. eyes still wet.
“why’d you stop talking to me?” you ask. you’ve wanted to ask that for so long.
she exhales.
“because every time i talked to you, i wanted to come back. and i knew if i did i’d never leave again.”
your stomach twists.
“so you shut me out.”
“only because i thought it was the only way,” she says. “to be great. to focus. to do this the right way.”
you nod slowly. you get it. but it doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt. “i just wanted you to fight for me. that’s all,” you whisper.
“i wanted to,” she says. “every damn day. i just didn’t know how to fight without ruining everything else.”
you lean your forehead to hers again.
“so what now?”
paige is quiet for a beat. then she brushes your hair back behind your ear.
“now we stop lying.”
you sniffle.
“about what?”
“about how we feel. about what we want. about the fact that we’re still in love with each other.”
you bite your lip. your whole body feels like it’s been cracked open.
“we still got all that shit we never figured out,” you remind her.
she nods.
“so let’s figure it out,” she says. “not tonight. not all at once. but don’t leave dallas yet. please.” you look at her. really look.
and she looks terrified. but hopeful. like maybe—for once—she’s ready to let you in and keep you there.
you squeeze her hand. press your forehead back to hers.
“okay.”
she breathes out. and then she kisses you. slow. salty. full of everything she never said. and this time, she doesn’t pull away.
you barely get the chance to breathe. she kisses you deeper, rougher. like her mouth’s the only way she knows how to fully open up. her hands grab your waist and she groans into your mouth like the taste of you has her losing her mind.
“let me be the last person you’ve fucked,” she mumbles against your lips, low. gritty. like it’s a promise and a threat all in one. your body tenses.
“p—”
but she’s already got her fingers curled around your thighs, lifting you clean off the barstool like you weigh nothing.
you gasp. wrap your arms around her neck on instinct, legs around her waist like second nature.
“where are we going you’re house isn’t unpacked,”
“bedroom, ma, don’t worry,” she mutters.
you look at her. her eyes are dark. blown wide. not just from want. from need. you don’t say anything. you just let her carry you through the still-mostly-empty house. boxes lining the hallway. half a couch in the living room. but none of it matters.
not with her holding you like this. like she already has you right where she wants you. once again.
when she kicks open the door to her bedroom, it’s chaos. half-unpacked bags. two pillows. barely any sheets. but all she sees is you.
you. in her jersey. number 5 and bueckers stretched across your back like it belongs there.
“keep it on,” she whispers, setting you down on the bed. you’re breathless. flushed. aching already.
her fingers trace up the side of the mesh, eyes glued to how it fits your chest, her voice is lower now, rougher, “you wore this for me?”
you nod, cheeks hot, “i bought it this morning.”
her jaw flexes. thats all it takes, that seals it, “lay down on your back.”
you blink, heart pounding, “paige.”
“jersey on. panties off. now, please.”
your breath catches in your throat, your whole body floods with heat. you lay back on the bed slowly, eyes never leaving hers. her hand strokes your cheek, then grips your jaw.
“you still mine?” she asks quietly. not a question. a test. you nod, “say it.”
your voice shakes, “i’m still yours,”
paige breathes out like she’s been waiting her whole life to hear that again.
“good,” she says, “then i’m gonna make sure no one else ever even tries to take you from me again.”
“face down.” her voice is sharp. not yelling. not soft. just serious. low. firm in a way that makes you obey without thinking.
you crawl up the bed, still in her jersey. bare from the waist down. thighs already slick and trembling. you don’t even get all the way before she’s behind you again.
her hands grip your hips and drag you back toward her, rough.
you gasp, elbows sinking into the mattress, back arching. you feel her eyes all over you.
“damn,” she mutters. “you look so fucking good in my name.”
you shiver. her hand smooths up the jersey, bunching it at your waist, fingers brushing the letters across your spine.
BUECKERS.
“this how you wanted it?” she asks, voice dark, “wanted to surprise me? pull up in my jersey just to end up face down like this?”
you whine, face buried in the sheets.
“answer me.”
“yes—fuck—yes.”
she groans. you hear the low click of her lube bottle. the shuffle of her strapping up. you’re panting just from the sound. but she doesn’t fuck you right away. she gets on her knees behind you. pulls you open with both hands and leans in. and then her mouth is on you. your back bows.
“paige—”
she sucks your clit slow at first. like she’s tasting. savoring. then her tongue slides down, curling in circles, making you shake. and when her fingers slide in—two, deep, smooth—you sob into the mattress. she groans behind you like your moans are fuel.
“so wet for me already,” she says, voice thick. “who made you like this?”
you try to answer but your mouth is useless. just open, gasping, drooling on the sheets. she curls her fingers up and pumps harder.
“i said—who made you like this?”
“you—fuck—you paige—”
she hums like that’s what she wanted. her fingers stay deep, knuckles slapping your pussy, her mouth never leaving your clit. she’s feasting. messy. loud. relentless. your thighs shake. your voice breaks.
“paige i need to—” she pulls back before you can even finish the sentence, breathing heavy.
“you think you get to cum when you want, ma?”
you whimper, shake your head fast.
“no—no, i don’t—”
“damn right,” she mutters, standing.
you hear her spit in her hand. feel her palm smooth over your ass, the slap that follows. you jolt. cry out. and then—she’s in.
deep. slow. filling you all the way. strap thick, stretching you open until your jaw drops in a silent scream. her hands grab your hips again.
“that’s it,” she growls. “take it. take me.”
you try to breathe but your lungs don’t work. you clutch the sheets and push back into her, already addicted to the feeling. she pulls out almost completely, then slams back in. your whole body jolts forward. and she loves it.
“look at you,” she pants, thrusting harder. “taking dick in my jersey. fucking pathetic.”
you moan. “paige—please—”
she’s pounding you now. fast. hard. each stroke louder than the last. the bed creaks. your skin slaps. your moans echo off the walls. and the whole time—she’s staring at her name on your back. she grips your shoulder, pulls you up by the jersey.
“who’s pussy is this, baby?”
“yours—fuck—yours paige—”
she slaps your ass again. deeper stroke.
“that’s right. you can fuck a thousand girls, and it’ll still be mine.”
you cry out, feel your orgasm crawling up your spine. and she knows, “you gonna cum for me, baby?”
“yes please—”
she leans forward, her chest to your back, teeth grazing your neck, “do it. cum for me in my name.”
and you do. screaming. shaking. falling apart. and she doesn’t stop. she fucks you through it, hips slamming, hands greedy. she’s starving for the sound of your pleasure. you collapse. limp. wrecked.
you’re buried in the blankets. face in the pillow, back towards her, barely able to think. “you with me, baby?” she murmurs, voice low and warm.
you hum. barely. a lazy, muffled noise that says you’re here. barely. her lips kiss the top of your spine. then lower. then back up. slow. soft. a different kind of love this time.
“you okay?” she asks again.
you nod this time. a little more alive. “yeah,” you whisper. she kisses your shoulder and breathes in, “good.”
she stays there for another minute. not saying anything. just rubbing your side, helping your body calm down.
when she finally sits up, it’s gentle. she peels the jersey off you with care—no teasing now, no smirking. just her hands, slow and warm.
and then she’s slipping one of her dallas wings sweatshirts over your head. it swallows you whole,
soft and oversized.
you give her a tired smile, “thanks.”
she helps you get back under the covers, then slides in next to you. wraps an arm around your waist and tugs you close like she’s scared you’ll vanish if she’s not careful.
for a while, you both just lay there.
sweaty. sore. hearts still too full. but the silence isn’t heavy. it’s warm. safe.
“you tired?” she asks after a while.
“kinda.”
“body okay?”
you nod.
she presses a kiss to your cheek, then your temple, then your forehead. her gentle routine.
you turn to look at her, eyes a little glassy still.
“i don’t want this to be a one-night thing.”
her expression softens, the shield she always wears finally falling, “me either.”
you swallow hard, “we can’t do that to each other again. we either try, or we don’t.”
she nods. and for once, she’s not defensive. not snarky or flirty or trying to dodge.
“you’re right,” she says. “we either show up or we let it go. no more half-assing.”
you blink at her. this version of her—the grown one, the honest one—it makes your chest ache.
“so what do we do?” you whisper.
she shrugs, brushing your hair off your face.
“we try. starting tomorrow. not perfect. but real.”
you nod. you can live with that. you want to live with that.
“okay.” her thumb strokes your jaw.
“okay,” she echoes, like it’s a vow. then she pulls you into her chest, wraps her arms around you tighter.
the city outside is quiet. the room’s barely put together and it’s your first time here, but somehow, this still feels like home.
you fall asleep with her heartbeat under your cheek. wrapped in her sweatshirt. and for the first time in a long time—you believe her when she says she’s gonna try.

part 1
Tumblr media
Valentine’s Day had been exhausting for Jaemin. He barely had the energy to even think. The hospital was a madhouse. He’d never expected that so many injuries would come from couples trying something new with their partners. By the time he clocked out, it was already 11 PM, and he couldn’t shake the guilt gnawing at him for missing your first Valentine’s Day together.
But as soon as he stepped through the door, his thoughts of guilt disappeared. There you were, lounging on the couch, eating strawberries. You were wearing nothing but the skimpiest piece of lingerie he’d ever seen before.
His breath caught in his throat as your gaze fell on him, a slow smile curling on your lips. “Long day?” you asked, your voice dripping with sweetness.
Jaemin’s throat tightened, but he managed to choke out a response. “Yeah… you could say that.” His voice cracked slightly as his eyes scanned over your body. “You look....”
“Good, I hope?” You giggled softly when he couldn’t finish his sentence.
“Absolutely,” he said, swallowing hard. “…Are you trying to kill me?”
You smiled and stood up slowly, giving him a full view of your curves. His gaze followed your every movement as you sauntered toward him. You stopped just inches from him, his body stiffening in anticipation. His hands ached to touch you.
“What’s the matter?” you teased, pressing your body against his lightly. “You look like you want something.”
Jaemin bit back a smirk, trying to hold on to his composure. He leaned in, brushing your hair back from your neck, his lips grazing your skin. “And you look like you're offering something.”
You laughed, the sound of it making him feel lighter, but he couldn’t ignore the way his heart pounded in his chest, or the tightness between his legs that was only growing. You seemed to notice it too, your hand slipping down his chest. “I think you might be right,” you said with a wink.
Jaemin tried to maintain some semblance of self-control, but his hands betrayed him by wandering to your waist on their own. You flinched slightly from the coldness and he smiled at that.
"You know," he said, with a half-smirk, "I'm not that easy." There was a playful challenge in his eyes. "You have to try harder than this."
“Oh, really?” you grinned, your voice dripping with mock innocence. "Well, I think I can manage."
He felt the heat in his body surge just thinking about what you had planned for him. When you turned and began leading him to your room, he couldn’t help but let his eyes trace every curve of your body, lingering on the flimsy string of fabric between your cheeks—just a bow for him to undo.
Jaemin followed you into the bedroom, his mouth going agape at the sight. Candles flickered softly on the bedside tables, and rose petals were scattered across the floor and on the bed. The whole scene looked straight out of a movie, but it was real, and it was for him.
“Wow,” he murmured, genuinely impressed. “Princess, this is amazing. I should’ve done this for you…” His voice dropped, a slight frown forming as he looked at you.
“You can do it next year,” you replied, and the fact that you were already planning another Valentine’s Day with him made his heart swell. You closed the space between you, pulling him down by his neck and kissing along his jaw.
“You must be tired,” you whispered against his skin.
Jaemin's hands roamed over your back, cupping your ass making you gasp at the sudden touch. When your lips parted, he took the opportunity to kiss you. He slipped his tongue into your mouth, tasting the strawberries you’d been eating.
“Not anymore,” he whispered, lifting you up by your hips, your legs locked around his waist. He carried you to the bed, never breaking the kiss, his lips moving against yours with need.
You pulled away, and for a moment he thought you would kiss him again. Instead, you gently pushed him down onto the bed and guided him to lie back. His chest rose and fell with anticipation, lips parted as you climbed over him and settled on top. He stayed still, pretending to be unaffected, but you noticed the way his muscles tensed as he fought to hold back.
"I want to try something new," you said, your voice laced with playful daring.
Jaemin raised an eyebrow, a teasing smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “Oh? Do I get a say in this?”
You paused for a moment before tugging his shirt up and over his head, letting your fingers graze his skin as you did. Your gaze roamed over him slowly, as if committing every inch to memory. His broad shoulders, abs that tensed whenever he took a breath, the faint happy trail he’d stopped shaving just because you said you liked it, the love bites still lingering on his chest from the other night.
Reaching for his hand, you guided it to the delicate bow at the center of your bra, your lips curling into a teasing smile. “Go on,” you murmured, “unwrap your present.”
Jaemin raised an eyebrow, smirking. He tugged on the bow and the bra fell open, exposing your breasts. He couldn’t help the soft, reverent exhale that escaped him. “Fuck…” he groaned, his hands reaching to touch you, but you stopped him with a soft but firm hand on his shoulder.
“Ah, ah,” you tutted, leaning in to kiss the frown from his face. “Let me take care of you first.”
Jaemin opened his mouth to protest, but then you were gone. He saw you searching in the drawer, and when you returned to the bed, you had something hidden behind your back. You leaned in close, whispering in his ear.
“Do you trust me, Jaem?”
He nodded, his voice barely a whisper. “Of course.”
Then, you pulled out a blindfold, and he froze, anticipation and excitement flooding his system in equal parts “What are you planning, love?” he asked, his tone soft but amused.
“Something you’ll really like,” you whispered, placing a kiss below his ear.
Jaemin chuckled nervously, shivering slightly. “Should I be worried?”
You only smiled, slipping the blindfold over his eyes. He swallowed hard, his heart pounding as his world went dark. His other senses immediately heightened and he tensed when he felt you reach for his wrists.
The soft touch of silk against his skin made him flinch. “Wait—what are you—” His breath hitched as you wrapped the restraints carefully around him.
His fingers twitched, an instinctive urge to move, but the fabric held him firm. He gave a small, experimental tug, testing the hold, and a shiver ran through him when he realized he couldn’t easily free himself. There was something almost dizzying about being kept like this, unable to touch you, forced to wait. The helplessness only made his excitement burn hotter.
“Wow,” he mused, voice light but strained, “Are we into bondage now?”
Despite his attempt at humor, you didn’t miss the way his chest rose and fell a little faster when you gave the restraints a small tug.
You leaned in, letting your lips ghost against his ear. “I want to see if you can last…” you whispered, your breath sending another shiver down his spine.
Jaemin swallowed, his smirk faltering just slightly. “What do you mean…” he asked, careful now, as if realizing he’d just walked into a trap.
You didn’t answer right away, and the silence only deepened the anticipation clawing at him. He tried to keep his breathing steady, to act unaffected, but the combination of the blindfold, the restraints, and the sheer uncertainty of what you’d do next made it impossible to be calm.
And then…cold.
A sharp gasp tore from his lips as the ice cube slid across his chest, its sudden chill stealing the breath from his lungs. His entire body stiffened, muscles flexing against the cold shock.
“God—fuck…” he cursed breathlessly. He yanked at the restraints, desperate to get away from the bite of the ice but craving more of your touch at the same time. “You really like torturing me, huh?”
You laughed softly, a wicked note in your voice. “Torture? No…” you murmured, trailing the ice lower, just skimming the waistband of his pants. “I just want to see how far you’ll let me go to make sure you feel really good.”
Jaemin let out a strained breath, his fingers flexing against the restraints. He was still trying to hold onto some shred of composure, but his body was betraying him. He felt himself grow harder in his pants and he wanted to beg for you to release him but he didn’t want to give you the satisfaction of seeing him break down so easily.
“Tell me, Jaem… have you ever touched yourself on a particularly chilly night?” you asked, your voice smooth and teasing.
“What—…” His breath hitched when you slid the ice cube lower, past his hip bones. “I… I don’t know… I suppose so,” he said, his voice cracking slightly.
“Did your cold fingers feel nice?” you continued, drawing the ice in slow circles on his skin. “Did you like it?”
Jaemin was trying to focus on your words, but the heightened sensation of the cold against his burning skin was making it impossible to think. The contrast was overwhelming, making his hips jerk involuntarily.
“I—fuck… I guess so,” he breathed.
Without warning, you pulled his pants down along with his boxers. His cock sprang free, slapping against his lower abdomen and startling both of you.
“You seem excited,” you said, letting your finger graze the side of his shaft. His breath stuttered as he tensed, his chest rising and falling rapidly.
The next thing he felt was cold sliding over his tip.
“Shit—” he gasped, his whole body jerking as he tried to sit up, hunching over in a desperate attempt to regain some control. His bound wrists strained against the silk restraints, but they gave him no leeway. And then you did it again, this time, dragging the ice along the side of his cock, the sensation both shocking and exquisite.
“Fuck… th-that feels weird…” he shivered slightly.
His lips were red and wet from how he kept biting them, trying not to moan too loudly.
You leaned in, kitten-licking the tip while still holding the ice against him.
“Wait—” he moaned, his hips bucking up instinctively.
With one last teasing kiss to his tip, you pulled back, watching the way he twitched, the way his body practically vibrated with pent-up need.
“Looks like you’re ready to play.”
Jaemin exhaled shakily. The way you were handling him was so different to what he was used to. He was always the one setting the pace, pulling pleasure from you at his leisure. But now, you had him completely at your mercy. And the craziest part was how much he was enjoying it.
He heard more movement, some shuffling and the quiet creak of the mattress as you settled back in front of him. His muscles tensed in anticipation, his whole body straining against the restraints. He wanted to reach for you, to pull you down and take what he needed but all he could do was wait.
“Jaem, do you know what a cock ring is?” you asked, your voice so soft and innocent that for a second, he thought he must’ve misheard you.
“Hm?” His brain was lagging, too focused on the lingering cold of the ice cube melting against him. Then your words sank in. “Yeah,” he swallowed.
“Good,” you hummed, and before he could react, he felt your warm hand wrap around him, pumping once, just enough to make his hips twitch, to make a moan escape his throat before he could swallow it down.
And then something hard pressed against his dick.
“Fuck—” he hissed, his body tensing as you carefully slid the cock ring into place. His sensitivity was already heightened, and the combination of your touch and the unfamiliar tightness made him shudder.
“I want you to hold on as much as you can,” you murmured, trailing your fingers up his stomach, nails lightly scratching at his skin. “Can you do that for me?”
Jaemin groaned, tugging at the restraints in frustration. “You’re so fucking unfair.”
You giggled, pressing a kiss to his hip bone. “I’ll take that as a yes.”
Jaemin’s breath came in sharp, uneven pants as you pulled away, leaving him aching for more. His head tilted back, exposing the long line of his throat as he swallowed hard, trying to remain as calm as possible.
“Fuck,” he exhaled, his voice shaky. His fingers clenched and unclenched where they were bound, his knuckles turning white from how hard he was gripping nothing. “You’re really trying to kill me…”
You only smiled, still running your nails lightly down his torso, making his abs twitch. “You’re being so dramatic, Jaem.”
His head snapped up at that, eyes still blindfolded, but his frustration was written all over his face. “Dramatic?” He let out a humorless laugh. “Princess, I’m so fucking hard it hurts, and you’re just—” He groaned, pulling against the restraints again. “God, you’re such a fucking tease.”
You hummed as if considering his words, then leaned in, pressing a slow, open-mouthed kiss just below his navel. “But it looks like you’re enjoying it.”
Jaemin’s hips twitched, but he still managed a weak scoff. “I’d enjoy it more if you actually fucking did something.” His voice was strained, cracking at the edges.
You let your hand drift lower again, wrapping around him with a slowness that had him sucking in a sharp breath. “Is this what you want?” you murmured, your fingers squeezing just enough to make him twitch in your grasp.
“Fuck—yes, that’s what I fucking want—”
You gave a single stroke, dragging your hand up his length at an agonizing pace.
Jaemin let out a throaty whimper, and the sound only intensified the heat pooling in your lower belly.
His chest heaved as his thighs trembled. His whole body jerked, but the cock ring kept him from reaching the release he desperately chased.
“Oh my god,” he choked out, his voice practically a whine. “Princess, please, I need—”
You tightened your grip slightly, cutting him off with another slow, teasing stroke. His hips bucked into your hand, but it wasn’t enough, it wasn’t fucking enough, and the frustration in his voice was turning into something dangerously close to begging.
“Please what, Jaemin?” you asked, tilting your head.
His lip was pulled between his teeth so hard it was turning red, his whole body trembling from restraint. “Please, just—fuck, I don’t even know—just something, please, princess, I can’t—”
His voice cracked again, revealing his desperation in every syllable. He was completely wrecked, yet still nowhere near getting what he wanted.
And that was exactly how you wanted him.
When your mouth dropped down on his dick again, you took in more than just the tip this time. You sucked and licked him just the way you knew he liked.
“God… oh god,” he groaned, his hips jerking up instinctively, but you kept him firmly in place, pressing down on his thighs.
“Be good,” you murmured against his swollen tip, lips brushing the heat of him. “Or I’ll stop.”
Jaemin let out a shaky breath, his fingers twitching at his sides, unable to do anything but take what you were giving him. “Fuck… you’re so—” His voice broke into a strangled gasp as you sank back down, taking him deeper, your tongue swirling along his length.
He was losing control. His thighs trembled under your touch, ragged gasps escaping his lips. His body was already screaming for release, but the cock ring kept him stuck on that unbearable edge, holding him in a storm of pure, agonizing pleasure.
“I can’t… anymore… please.” His voice was strained, broken apart by breathless moans. “Please, take it off.”
You pulled back just enough to let your breath fan over his tip. “Take what off, Jaem?”
“Everything,” he choked out. “Let me touch you… let me see you… let me fuck you…please.”
The little laugh you let out made his stomach tighten painfully. If he wasn’t so desperate, he would’ve held out longer just to make you work for it. But he was past the point of caring about winning right now.
“Well…” You let your hands caress down his thighs, feeling the way his muscles clenched under your touch. “I think you’ve been patient enough.”
The first thing to come off was the blindfold. Jaemin blinked rapidly as his eyes adjusted, the dim light in the room almost blinding after what felt like hours in the dark. His gaze flickered over your form, hovering over him like a lioness about to pounce. Fuck, he forgot you were braless. His hands twitched against the restraints, desperate to touch you.
Then his eyes dropped lower. His dick was painfully swollen, red at the tip, the cock ring still keeping him from the relief he needed. His breath caught as you reached down, fingers brushing his base before you finally removed it. The rush of sensation that followed had his whole body tensing, his abs clenching as he gasped through the sudden overwhelming relief. He was seconds away from—
You moved to undo the silk restraints, and the moment his wrists were free, he lunged.
You let out a sharp squeal as he grabbed your arm and yanked you down, pressing your body flush against his chest. In one quick movement, he flipped you onto your back, looming over you with a wicked, predatory grin.
“Shouldn’t have fucking released me, princess,” he growled, voice still rough from moaning. He licked his lips, eyes raking down your body like he was deciding where to ruin you first. “You’re gonna take everything I give you now.”
There was no fear in your gaze—only pure, smoldering desire.
Jaemin’s lips crashed against yours, devouring you, tongue sliding past your lips as his hands finally claimed your body. His fingers found your breasts, squeezing, teasing, all while his hips rolled against your barely clothed core.
Then, he flipped you onto your stomach. You gasped, feeling his body press against your back, his lips tracing a heated path from your shoulder to the nape of your neck.
“Wanted to do this since I walked through that door,” he muttered, voice thick with lust. He hooked his fingers into the delicate lace of your underwear, undoing the tiny bow with a slow pull. His eyes went dark with greed and desire when he saw it fall apart and expose your bare backside to him.
He kissed along your spine, then rocked his hips against your ass with a shuddering sigh before flipping you over again.
You were already breathless, your mind hazy, and he still hadn’t even touched you where you needed him most.
But then, just when you thought he was going to finally take you—he suddenly grabbed your ankles and yanked you down the bed, shifting you so you were face-to-face with his abs.
Your brows furrowed in confusion, until you felt his dick sliding between your breasts.
“Gonna let me fuck your tits, princess?” he murmured, voice husky.
Heat pooled in your stomach at his words, and without hesitation, you pressed your hands against the sides of your chest, squeezing your breasts together, trapping him between them.
Jaemin groaned, the sound deep and raw, before spitting onto your chest to lubricate the area.
You gasped softly, the sheer filth of it making your thighs squeeze together, but Jaemin was also too far gone to tease you about it. He let out a low, guttural fuck as he thrust, slow at first, watching himself slide between the plushness of your breasts.
“Shit…” His breathing was heavy, his fringe damp with sweat, his jaw slack as he fucked into the tight heat of your chest. “Letting me fuck your perfect tits—fuck.”
The sounds filling the room were obscene. The wet slide of his dick against your skin, the breathy moans slipping from his lips, the quiet, desperate whimpers coming from you.
Your legs clenched again, seeking friction, your own arousal dripping down your thighs.
Jaemin’s rhythm faltered. His thrusts grew uneven, more desperate. “I’m—fuck, I’m close—”
Suddenly, his hand was on your jaw, tilting your head up.
“Open for me, princess.”
You parted your lips instinctively, watching through hazy, lidded eyes as he pumped himself, working himself closer and closer—until the first warm spurts landed across your chest and tongue. His thumb swiped through the mess on your chest, and before you could even react, he brought it to your lips.
“Taste.” His voice was hoarse.
Your tongue flicked out to catch it. His breath stuttered as he watched you.
“Fuck,” he exhaled, his fingers pressing against your tongue just a second longer before pulling away. His cock twitched against your stomach, already getting hard again.
You let out a small whimper, rubbing your thighs together, the ache between your legs only growing sharper.
Jaemin caught the movement immediately.
“Oh?” He smirked, eyes flicking down to where you were shamelessly pressing your legs together for any friction. “You want more?”
You whined, squirming.
He hummed, as if amused. “Poor thing.”
“Jaem…” Your voice came out as a whimper, breathless, desperate.
His smirk deepened. He loved seeing you this way—helpless, needy, falling apart before he even touched you properly.
But he wasn’t going to make it easy.
“What’s wrong, princess?” His hand ghosted over your stomach before slipping between your legs, fingertips grazing your soaked folds. “You need help?”
You bucked your hips, but he barely applied any pressure, making you whimper in protest.
You let out a frustrated sob, moving to take over yourself, but his hand shot out and gripped your wrist, pinning it to the mattress.
“Ah, ah! We can’t have that,” he tsked, eyes flashing dark.
The next thing you know, your hand is being replaced with his own, two fingers sliding through your folds. Your entire body jolted at the contact.
Jaemin groaned, pressing his forehead against yours. “Shit, you’re so wet, princess,” he murmured, dragging his fingers through your slick before pressing them against your swollen clit. “You like having my cock between those pretty tits that much?”
You barely managed a nod, too lost in the feeling of his fingers teasing you.
“Such a messy little thing,” he teased, rubbing slow, agonizing circles over your clit, just enough to make you desperate, but not enough to give you what you needed. “I should make you wait. Make you beg for it.”
“Jaemin—”
His fingers pushed in, stretching you, filling you just enough to make you gasp.
“Holy fuck,” Jaemin groaned, his head dropping to your shoulder. His cock was already leaking against your thigh, his body trembling as he tried to hold himself back. “You’re so tight. You’re gonna fucking choke my fingers.”
He pumped his fingers in and out, slow but deep, so deep you were writhing beneath him.
“Jaem, please—” Your walls clenched, thighs trembling.
“Hm?” He purred. “Tell me exactly what you want.”
Your eyes were glassy, your body begging for it. “Please, just fuck me.”
Jaemin let out a sharp exhale, visibly shaking as he tried to hold himself back.
“You—” His voice broke. He looked down, seeing how you were practically dripping down his fingers, and groaned, cursing under his breath. “Jesus Christ.”
His fingers slipped out with a wet, filthy sound. Before you could even whine, he grabbed your thighs, spreading you wide and pressing the head of his cock against your entrance.
Your breath caught.
But he didn’t push in.
He just teased, rubbing himself between your folds, coating himself in your slick. He watched with dark, hooded eyes as you twitched beneath him, whimpering at every brush of his cock against your swollen clit.
“You want it?” His voice dripped with sin.
“Jaem—”
“Beg for it.”
The jerk was using your own tricks against you.
Now, you were regretting edging him earlier, because this… this felt like hell.
You whined, your nails digging into his arms. “Please, Jaem. Please. I need you. I need your cock inside me, I—fuck—I can’t—”
That was enough for him. With a wrecked groan, he slammed inside you in one stroke, bottoming out so deep you saw white.
A choked cry left your lips, your entire body arching off the mattress.
“Oh my fucking god—” Jaemin’s voice broke, his hands gripping your thighs so hard you were sure it would bruise.
He was shaking, breathing ragged, his cock twitching inside you as he tried not to cum right then and there.  You were so tight, so wet, so warm. He felt like he was going insane.
“You—” His voice was strained, wrecked. “You feel so fucking good, princess.”
His thrusts punched the breath out of you, slamming into you so deep you felt it in your stomach, your walls clenching around him like a vice.
“Holy shit—fuck—” Jaemin groaned, his hips snapping against yours in a brutal rhythm. “You’re so tight—I can feel you fucking squeezing me—”
You couldn’t even form words, just moaned and whimpered, nails raking down his back.
Jaemin growled, grabbing the backs of your knees, pushing them up and folding you beneath him.
The angle —oh god—the angle had his cock hitting so deep it left you shaking, your mouth falling open in a silent scream.
“There we go,” Jaemin groaned, watching you writhe under him. “That’s the spot, isn’t it?”
“Jae—Jaemin—”
“Shhh,” he cooed, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “You’re taking me so well, princess. So, so well.”
His fingers found your clit, rubbing fast. The pleasure crashing over you all at once.
“Cum for me, baby,” Jaemin rasped, barely holding himself together. “Make a fucking mess on my cock.”
Your orgasm tore through you, so intense your vision blurred, your entire body shaking under him as you cried out his name.
Jaemin groaned, feeling you clench around him. His hips stuttered as he buried himself deep, moaning against your throat as he came again, filling you completely.
For a moment, neither of you moved. Just heavy breathing and shaking limbs.
Jaemin finally lifted his head, sweat-damp hair clinging to his forehead, eyes dark.
He smirked a cat-like smile.
“I hope you don't think we’re done.”
He was still inside you, his cock twitching, throbbing, still semi-hard despite just coming deep inside you. He could feel you clenching weakly around him.
You didn’t want it to be done.
You felt empty, even with his cock still buried inside you. You needed more, needed all of him, needed him to ruin you completely.
And he could tell.
Jaemin tilted his head as his fingers dug into your thighs, keeping them spread wide for him. His thumbs traced slow circles into your skin both soothing and possessive, a silent reminder that you weren’t going anywhere.
“Think you can handle more?” The low rumble of his voice had you feeling dizzy.
You nodded, too fucked out to form anything coherent.
He hummed, pretending to consider. “Now that I think about it… you were pretty mean to me earlier.” His hands slid lower, gripping your ass and giving it a sharp squeeze that made you jolt. “Do you even deserve it?”
“Yes—yes, please, Jaem—”
He laughed, a breathy chuckle that broke apart into something rougher, needier.
“Insatiable little thing.”
And then he was pulling out achingly slow, dragging every inch of himself through your trembling walls. The friction sent a helpless whimper tumbling from your lips.
Jaemin nearly lost his mind at the sound.
He stared down at you, his ruined, pretty girl. Face flushed, hair sticking to your damp skin, lips swollen and parted, body still twitching from the aftershocks of your orgasm.
He growled, gripping your waist and flipping you onto your stomach in one swift movement.
You gasped, heart pounding as Jaemin manhandled you effortlessly, positioning you exactly how he wanted with your chest pressed to the mattress and ass high in the air.
He moaned, running his hands down your spine, over the curve of your hips, before gripping your ass and spreading you open for him.
“Look at you,” he breathed, watching the way your slick dripped down your thighs, his own cum still leaking from your core.
His cock throbbed painfully at the sight.
“Fuck, baby, I made such a mess of you.”
You whimpered, pushing your hips back toward him, trying to tempt him. But Jaemin only smirked, rubbing the tip of his cock against your entrance, teasing you, making you squirm.
“What do you want, princess?” His voice was low, smug.
You whined, pressing your face into the pillow, trying to grind back against him.
“Jaem—please—”
He tutted, gripping your hips to hold you still. “You’re so cute when you beg.”
Then, he slid inside you again, slowly making you feel every inch. You cried out, hands gripping the sheets desperately.
Jaemin groaned, rolling his hips slow but deep. His cock pressing against a spot that made black spots appear in your vision.
“Oh, my god—”
“That’s it,” he praised, gripping your waist tighter. Watching the way your back arched, how you clenched around him so perfectly.
He was so deep like this, hitting angles that had you completely unraveling beneath him.
“God, you’re perfect for me,” he groaned, his hips snapping forward just a little harder, making you choke on your breath.
His hands traveled down, reaching for your arms, and before you could even react, he pulled you up, pressing your back against his chest. One hand snaking around your waist, the other gripping your throat lightly.
Your moan was sinful, body trembling as Jaemin fucked up into you, the new position letting him bury himself impossibly deep.
“Shit—” Jaemin choked out, pressing his lips to your sweaty temple.
His free hand slid down your stomach, two fingers finding your clit, rubbing torturous circles in time with his thrusts.
You gasped sharply, hands grabbing at his wrists.
“Too much?” He teased, his voice taunting, but the way he was shaking against you, the way his thrusts were growing sloppier, told you he was just as close as you were.
You could only moan, pleasure overwhelming you, his cock dragging against that perfect spot over and over, his fingers pushing you closer—
“Cum for me again, princess.” He said, lips pressed to your jaw, groaning with every thrust.  “I want to feel you squeeze me.”
And just like that another orgasm crashed over you, your walls clamping down on him so tight he nearly screamed.
Jaemin cursed, feeling you pulsing around him, dragging him straight into his own orgasm.
“Fuck—fuck—fuck—” His body convulsed, hips stuttering as he filled you up once more, letting go with a strangled moan against your throat.
Jaemin finally collapsed, pulling you down with him. He wrapped himself around you, pressing lazy kisses to your bare shoulder.
His arms tightened, as if he never wanted to let you go.
“God,” Jaemin exhaled, still breathless, lips brushing against your ear.
“I think I might have broken you, princess.”

when you call them "husband" - part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
how the blue lock boyfriends react when you call them "husband" - part 2
pairings: itoshi rin, michael kaiser, mikage reo x fem!reader (no descriptions tho, just the words "wife" on rin's part) (separate) | warnings: established relationship, fluff, lovesick boys
notes: I'M ALIVE! i cant believe how long it's been since i had time/energy/creativity to write something, ohmy goddddddd. i'm so sorry for all the time it took to post this, but i wanna ty all so much for all the love on part 1 and all the requests for part 2! hopefully this will meet your expectations ♥ as always, i went a lil' overboard with rin's part. enjoy!
part 1 / masterlist
Tumblr media
ITOSHI RIN
rin was not a fan of social media. it was clear with the way his instagram only had 8 pictures despite being years since his career started, and even more so by the fact he had no other social media besides that. if he wasn’t so famous, people would say itoshi rin was a ghost or some artificial intelligence invention.
it was one of the reasons people were very shocked when he started dating you, an influencer with millions of followers on every platform. rin was a private person, and you… well, you shared your life on the internet for everyone to see. to say you were polar opposites was an understatement.
however, you never forced your boyfriend to appear in any of your socials, only recording things for your own fun and memories and posting only what he allowed. rin was glad for that. he didn’t mind doing dumb things with you to see you smile, as long as the rest of the world couldn’t see how whipped he was for you.
also, you were kind of glad the professional athlete was so unaware of social media, because it meant you could do a lot of tiktok trends without the risk of him already knowing what was coming — which made everything more satisfying.
and the trend you chose that day was especially good.
“hey everyone, it’s y/n here!” you chirped, waving your hands in front of your phone. however, you were actually recording rin, who was at the other side waiting for your sign to appear on the screen.
you continued speaking. “today i have a very special guest, who i’m sure you’re all very familiar with.” you gave the camera a little cheeky wink, and your boyfriend rolled his eyes with all your theatrics. “please welcome itoshi rin, my handsome husband!”
rin gave a step forward to start his way to you, but suddenly, his whole body froze, brows furrowing in what you could only call utmost confusion. silence took over the room for what felt like an eternity, and you had to suppress your laugh seeing the imaginary ‘loading’ wheel on his head.
rin.exe stopped working.
“baby?” you decided to intervene, honestly a little scared of how immobile rin was.
“you— i’m— did you just— did we—”
you could no longer hold your laughter, and rin’s favorite melody echoing through the walls of your shared apartment was probably what snapped him out of his trance. he immediately scowled and crossed his arms, cheeks burning red from his pathetic stutter.
“i am never doing these dumb videos with you again.”
“no, no, i’m sorry!” your giggles kept going, and you approached your pouty boyfriend, squishing his cheeks between your hands. the smooch you gave him was almost enough to make him melt. almost. rin still had some self respect.
he also didn’t want to admit how abnormally fast his stone heart was beating with the mere thought of being referred to as your husband — and, even better, referring to you as his wife.
fuck. that certainly did make him feel lots of things. those stupid butterflies that were born the minute you met were roaming freely in his stomach, soaring with all the love he had harbored just for you.
“i’m sorry, baby,” you said again, smiling like you swallowed the sun and all things good in this world. you might as well have. how else could rin explain the way you were his everything? “it was a prank i saw on tiktok.”
he arched his eyebrow, arms uncrossing to put his hands on your waist. “oh? so you don’t want me to be your husband?”
the itoshi was satisfied to see you flushing this time. “i— w-well, you see…”
and then you started rambling, just like you did every time something made you nervous. and rin could only look at you as if nothing else was worth looking at, because really, to him, it wasn’t.
…well, maybe the sight of you walking down the aisle would get the cake. he might have to find out soon.
Tumblr media
MICHAEL KAISER
once you started dating bastard munchen’s star, michael kaiser, it was natural to have his world collide with yours. everything from football to blue hair dye to weird sleeping habits became a part of you as well, and you nourished every expanse of your world his presence alone was able to give.
your favorite part, besides learning all of him — his little habits, quirks and love languages that seemed to be crafted solely for you — was definitely immersing yourself in his culture. germany always seemed distant and quite detached from your life, and you loved to learn new things from different perspectives.
food, traditions, language… michael loved teaching you things, giddy and secretly grateful for your excitement. it was his sparkly eyes that prompted you to learn a few things by yourself to surprise him and make him happy.
the tiktok trend was just a nice coincidence.
you phone was hidden on the kitchen balcony, camera recording and waiting for the moment your boyfriend would arrive in your shared apartment. luckily, kaiser was very punctual, and you didn’t have to wait much longer.
“liebling, i’m home!” you heard him scream from the front door, and you giggled to yourself, pretending to be busy chopping vegetables for dinner.
you waited for his footsteps to near where you were, and, as soon as you felt he entered the camera frame, you answered:
“welcome home, ehemann!”
you didn’t have to turn around to see the way kaiser completely froze; arms stopping just before reaching your waist as if your figure was an illusion created by his tired mind. you fought hard to suppress your grin.
“what… did you say…?” his voice was low and uncertain, but there was no annoyance in it; just pure confusion.
turning your head around to finally look at him, you were pleased to find your mikka with rosy cheeks and a bashful expression, so extremely unusual for a guy like him you couldn’t help but feel your heart flutter on your chest.
you gave him your best innocent look. “huh? isn’t that how you say boyfriend?”
“i-it’s husband, liebe. you called me husband,” his tone was still incredulous, and this time, you couldn’t keep your smile off your face.
“oh, did i?”
your countenance seemed to finally snap him out of his trance, and michael’s eyebrows shot up, scoffing slightly — albeit still endearingly. his arms circled your waist and he pressed a kiss on the side of your neck.
“how mean of you, baby. playing with my heart like that.” he trailed more kisses on your neck and jaw, making you squirm. “you tryin’ to kill me or something?”
you giggled again, both from the ticklish kisses he was giving you and the huge amount of love you had harbored just for him. “of course not, baby. i need you alive to make you my husband,” you jested.
“oh, yeah? you wanna make me your husband?”
“yes.” you shifted, giving him a sweet kiss on the cheek. kaiser hugged you a little tighter, feeling something fuzzy inside his chest. “is that a problem?”
“never,” he answered immediately. because it was true.
boyfriend, fiancé, partner, husband… michael didn’t mind what title would be bestowed to him — as long as he could keep being yours.
Tumblr media
MIKAGE REO
being the heir of one of the biggest corporations of the country and a professional football player made your boyfriend’s schedule pretty busy. therefore, thursdays like these, where you and him could have a nice walk around the park under the warm sunlight, hand in hand, were extremely rare — hence why they were so appreciated.
reo knew how much his frenetic agenda was a hard toll on your relationship, affecting both of you with distance, longing and short periods of time together. and, well, everyone knew how much of a goner he was for you, so it wasn’t surprising to see him give in whatever spare time he had in his hands — even going as far as making such time exist if there wasn’t any — to be with you for as long as he possibly could.
how could he deny your pretty little eyes pleading to have a stroll in the park with him ‘just for a few minutes?’
god, you were so selfless. he wanted to give you all of his minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years. and for all that’s worth, reo would never deny you of such a thing — he’d rather shoot himself than make you think you weren’t loved with every fiber of his being.
the weather was nice; a gentle breeze kissing both of your faces and making everything more pleasant. you were both chatting and appreciating the calm environment when you spotted an old lady a few feet ahead, selling different colored roses for the passersby. a smile was etched onto your lips, and you impulsively let go of reo’s hand to run towards her.
“why hello, dear. would you like to buy a rose?”
your boyfriend watched you beam to the lady and slowly approached you, though still keeping his distance and trying hard not to intervene and buy all the roses for you.
“yes, please! a red one would be perfect.”
“oh, who will you give it to?” asked the woman, already taking one flower from the bunch to hand it to you.
your smile became slightly more bashful, “it’s for my husband!”
and fuck, if reo wasn’t already completely in love with you and thoroughly believed you were his soulmate until then, he certainly would after that very moment. he could feel his cheeks burning and his tongue rolling inside his mouth with how speechless he became. his heart soared with your words, excitement coursing through his veins with a love so overwhelming he nearly fell on his knees right there.
heavens, he loved you so fucking much. and you made him realize it was about time he proved it to you (once again).
his hands easily found his phone in his pocket, and a quick call to the jewelry store was made while you busied yourself with paying for the flower. reo couldn’t stop smiling like a lovesick fool, but he didn’t mind.
“hey, mr. fuji, it’s mikage! you know, i think it’s time for that visit i mentioned a while ago…”
he might not fall to his knees right there, but he would drop at one knee very soon.

Pairing: Pazzi
Notes: I got tagged in this post a while ago and had to write it. it's actually filthy. please give me all the reactions in my inbox, they feed me. sorry for the wait lol
________
Warmups are still going on when Azzi takes her courtside seat at College Park Center. Paige doesn’t see her immediately, too focused on shooting free throw after methodical free throw. It’s not until the commotion from fans forming a line to take pictures with Azzi grows loud enough to reach the court that Paige glances over.
Her eyes flick over for only half a second before focusing back in on the rim and beginning the action of letting the ball fly forward off her fingertips, but by the time she’s in motion, her brain has registered the scene to her right. Paige’s eyes dart back to the stands as the ball leaves her hands. The ball barely makes it halfway to the basket before thudding against the floor, but Paige isn’t watching the airball. Her legs are carrying her towards the courtside seats where Azzi is now surrounded by fans before Paige even realizes what’s happening.
“P! Get over here!” Arike’s yell snaps Paige out of her trance, but not before her eyes catch on Azzi’s outfit.
Her hair is half up and half down with those four little braids and the slut strands that Paige loves. She’s in a low-waisted jean skirt, way too short to be appropriate and definitely shorter than anything Paige knew Azzi owned. And the shirt. Azzi is wearing a white Dallas Wings jersey with a number 5 on the front, and Paige knows what that means. It means her name is printed on the back of the jersey, on Azzi’s lower back, right above her ass, for everyone to see.
Azzi turns around right as Paige is managing to pry her eyes back to her teammates, and her vision snags on the word. Bueckers. In bold, dark blue ink, advertising her name to everyone in the arena. It fills Paige with a sickly sweet feeling of satisfaction, spreading through her limbs like honey.
“Paige!” It’s an assistant coach who yells at her this time, demanding Paige’s attention on some drill or another that she really couldn’t care less about at the moment. But as much as she wants to look at Azzi all day, stare at her jersey draped over the younger girl’s muscular frame, she knows she has a job to do.
Halfway through the first quarter, Paige and Arike are both on the bench, being given a breather while the Wings have a little bit of a lead over Chicago. It doesn’t take long for Arike to lean over and bump Paige’s shoulder with her own, a grin stretched from ear to ear across her face.
“Damn, you got your girl out here wearing your jersey during pride month? Is this the hard launch?” She teases. Paige doesn’t even have it in herself to blush. All she feels is pride, rushing through her bloodstream with an undercurrent of possession.
“I didn’t even know she was comin’ tonight, to be honest,” Paige mumbles, briefly glancing over to Azzi in her seat across the court, legs crossed carefully at the knee in a way that makes her skirt ride up. She’s finally been left alone by the fans and is scrolling on her phone, seemingly disinterested in the game in front of her.
“She hard launched by herself! Ouch, P. She really said if you’re not gonna do it, she will,” Arike laughs. Nalyssa leans over from Arike’s other side, eyes gleaming with mischief.
“Nai owes me 20 bucks,” she quips. Paige raises an eyebrow.
“Y’all took bets on whether we’d hard launch?” Arike stifles a laugh behind her hand, and Nalyssa grins.
“Nah. The bet was for when y’all would launch. Nai said two weeks. I gave it a month. I win.” Arike holds up a hand in Nalyssa’s face, cutting her off.
“Wait, wait, wait. This is week three, so you’re not right either,” she argues. Paige’s eyes switch back and forth between her teammates, half forgetting that this debate is about her relationship.
“Winner is whoever is closest without going over,” Lyss says with a shrug.
“Hollup, I don’t think it counts as a launch if I wasn’t involved. This is just Az,” Paige defends. Arike’s eyebrows scrunch together, her face a perfect mask of disbelief.
“Girl, whose jersey is that? I don’t see my name on there, do you? Who’s Little Miss Hard Launch launching with, huh?” Arike taunts. Paige shrugs.
“Aight. That’s me. That’s my name,” she concedes. “Wearing my damn name,” she mumbles again, more to herself than her teammates. Lyss barks out a laugh.
“Keep it in your pants, P. Still got three quarters left,” Arike warns, but her voice is light and a smile curves the corners of her lips.
________
The rest of the game is torture. Slow, painful, beautiful, teasing torture. Paige plays 31 minutes. The other nine minutes are spent staring longingly across the court at her girlfriend, wishing the game could just end in a way that kind of makes her ashamed. But then she focuses on Azzi again, on the way her curls brush the tops of her shoulders, on the number 5 displayed proudly on her chest, and she stops feeling bad about her sudden hatred for how long basketball games are.
Arike only calls her out for staring twice, and Paige actually thanks the woman for it when the game finally ends and they’re all heading back to the locker room. She’s walking fast, as if she doesn’t have to go sit at a table with Chris and Myisha for too long for post-game press anyway. As if walking faster now will get her to Azzi any sooner.
To Paige’s surprise, her speedwalking actually does accomplish her intended goal. Azzi is waiting inside the tunnel, tucked into a back corner near the door to the locker room. Her skirt is high on her thighs, and now that she’s not covered by a row of seats, Paige can clearly see the muscles of her calves, highlighted by smooth, tan skin. She licks her lips, swallows hard, and slows as she approaches.
“You tryna break the internet with your lil outfit there, ma?” Paige murmurs as she stops in front of Azzi. There’s not enough space between them, not anywhere close to a friendly distance separating their bodies. Paige can feel Azzi’s warmth radiating through the air and settling into her skin.
“Not the internet. Just trying to break you,” Azzi replies. Paige’s eyes wander down the younger girl’s frame, catching on the smooth skin of her biceps first, then the belly piercing glinting above the waistband on her denim skirt, then the strong expanse of her thighs, before she drags her gaze back up.
“And the hard launch was just a bonus?” Paige shoots back. Azzi shrugs, a smirk curving the corners of her mouth up.
“You say that like you don’t want everybody to know I’m yours anyway.”
That does it for Paige. Her hands are on Azzi in a heartbeat, grabbing her wrists with sweaty hands, veins still prominent from the exertion of the game. It doesn’t take long at all to drag Azzi into the locker room, which is miraculously still empty, and into the bathroom at the back, pressing her up against one of the shower stall doors and locking it swiftly.
Paige’s hands are still wrapped around Azzi’s wrists, so she pins the younger girl’s arms to the wall, squeezing just a little as she does so. Not enough to hurt. Just enough to make her feel a little discomfort.
“You knew what you were doin’ in my jersey. This ain’t for nobody else, is it ma?” Azzi looks up at Paige, eyes big and dark, shadows falling across her face from the dim lighting in the shower. “Nah, this is for you. You wanna show up to my game without telling me in my jersey and that sorry fucking excuse for a skirt and think I won’t fuck you about it? You’re smart, Azzi. Don’t lie and say this was for everybody else to know you’re mine,” Paige murmurs. Her voice is low and dark, a little scratchy from yelling during the game and maybe from something else.
Azzi shakes her head, still denying it. Paige switches to pin both of Azzi’s wrists above her head and brings her free hand up to the perfect, unblemished skin of her throat. Her hand circles it, fingers resting on the sides of her neck. Azzi’s pulse drums against Paige’s thumb. Paige presses in just a little bit, teasing more than anything, but Azzi gasps as her head tips back to rest against the tiled wall of the shower.
“Fucking slut. Wanted to show yourself off, huh? Show off who you belong to?” Azzi nods quickly, desperately. Her mouth is open slightly, and she’s breathing heavily. Paige’s focus draws down to her lips, and before she even decides to do it, she’s kissing Azzi.
It’s not gentle, or loving, or careful. Their teeth clash when Azzi opens her mouth, and when Paige licks into Azzi’s mouth, the younger girl lets her teeth nip. It makes Paige groan, soothing the sting by licking further into Azzi’s mouth, tasting peppermint and vanilla.
Paige pulls away for a moment to pant– “You want it? Want me to fuck you right here in the bathroom like the whore you are?” –and it’s all Azzi can do to nod desperately again like she doesn’t remember how to form words. Maybe she doesn’t. Either way, Paige’s chest fills with frustration.
She moves the hand on Azzi’s neck up slightly so her fingers grip Azzi’s jaw, squeezing tightly. Azzi’s mouth falls open as she breathes, jaw forced wide by Paige’s grip.
“No. Tell me. I haven’t even touched you yet. You can be so dumb already that you can’t talk, so be a good girl and use your words.”
That pulls a pathetic little noise from Azzi’s throat, as she scrambles to form a sentence. All she manages is a few words at a time, though.
“Please, Paige. Fuck me, please. Right here, right now, need it.” She’s throbbing between her legs, thighs pressed together tightly to try to relieve the ache, but it’s not working. The other thing that helps is when Paige shoves her legs apart and one of her hands immediately darts under her skirt, pulls her panties to the side, and slides through the wetness she finds there.
“Fuck, baby. So needy, and from what? My hands on your throat? Fucking pathetic,” Paige spits out. Azzi whines, hips bucking forward to try to get Paige to slip a finger in. Usually, that would send Paige into a rant about asking for what she wants, not doing anything without permission, and all the other things Azzi knew but rarely had the patience to comply with.
Paige must need it as bad as Azzi does, though, because she just shoves two fingers in at once, fucking in and out of her sopping cunt as Azzi clenches around her in an effort to adjust.
“Shit, so good P, ah.”
“I’m giving you what you want. What do you say to me, Az?” Paige taunts. Azzi replies on instinct alone.
“Thank you, thank you.” Paige grins, the expression cocky and satisfied. It’s the face of a woman who knows she has all the power. Just looking at the blonde forces another moan out of Azzi’s mouth. Her hips are moving of their own accord now, grinding against Paige’s hand while she thrusts in and out.
The sloppy sounds coming from between Azzi’s legs are absolutely sinful, but they’re both so needy they can’t even find the headspace to be embarrassed about it. That is, until somebody bangs on the door of the shower.
“Dude! Y’all are fucking disgusting, please get out of the locker room.” It’s Lyss’s voice, and the horror is clear in her tone even through the door. “Nobody wants to hear your freaky ass sex life. For the love of god, man…” Her voice trails off as she walks away, but Paige and Azzi are both still frozen against the shower wall.
Paige shifts on her feet slightly, which jostles the position of her fingers inside Azzi. Azzi groans and squeezes her eyes shut.
“Please take your fingers out of me and then shoot me. I’m serious,” she mutters. Paige barks out a laugh, even though her cheeks are still glowing. She does slide her fingers out, though, patting Azzi on the hip lightly to steady her as she tugs her panties back into place.
“Shit, I’m never gonna hear the end of this,” Paige says. Her voice is quiet, but still low and rough from arousal. Azzi closes her eyes and tries to get her body under control.
“Can we just hide in here forever? So I never have to see any of your teammates ever again in my life?” Azzi asks weakly. Paige’s face softens, and she brings her clean hand up to cup Azzi’s jaw.
“Hey, I got you. You’re mine, right? I’m gonna take care of you. Nobody here is gonna say anything, I swear.” Azzi looks at her skeptically until Paige holds out a hand, pinky up and curved. “Pinky promise?” A small smile slips onto Azzi’s face as she nods, hooking her pinky with Paige’s.
________
True to her word, Paige gets Azzi out of the locker room incident-free. She unfortunately doesn’t manage to talk her way out of doing post-game press. So it’s late when Paige finally makes her way back to Azzi, who has been waiting in the hallway outside the locker room since she escaped an hour ago.
Paige is freshly showered, blonde hair hanging wet around her shoulders, dressed in a lavender Nike sweatsuit. It’s a good color on her, but Azzi is a little frustrated that more of her skin isn’t showing. She’s half naked in her miniskirt and Paige’s jersey tucked into her bra to crop it, and in a moment of insecurity, she tugs the jersey free.
The fabric is a little crumpled as it falls, hiding the tan skin of her stomach and the belly piercing Paige loves so much, but Azzi immediately feels better.
“You comin’ back with me?” Paige confirms. Azzi nods, and they start to make their way to Paige’s car.
The entire drive to Paige’s apartment is tense. The air feels too thick, Paige keeps looking over at the skin of Azzi’s legs on display in the passenger seat, and the glances are making Azzi’s blood heat quickly. She shifts in her seat, pressing her thighs together. She never truly calmed down from earlier if she’s honest, even after being interrupted and embarrassed. She can already feel herself soaking through her underwear, probably getting the leather seat of Paige’s car wet, and somehow that just makes her feel hotter.
Paige notices, because of course she does, but all she does is settle her right hand onto Azzi’s upper thigh, fingers curving in dangerously, but she doesn’t move. She brushes her thumb over the smooth skin on the top of Azzi’s thigh, but her fingers that are so close to where Azzi is throbbing and needy stay disappointingly still. They don’t talk about it, though. Paige just reaches over and turns the music up.
By the time they actually enter Paige’s apartment, Azzi is dripping through her panties and down her thigh. The sound of Paige locking the door clicks behind her, and it snaps something inside the younger girl. She spins, pushing Paige up against the door and kissing her hard.
Paige doesn’t hesitate to kiss back, sliding her tongue into Azzi’s mouth and dragging a hand over her waist and hip teasingly.
“You better be planning on fucking me now,” Azzi threatens. Paige steps back, letting her hand drop from Azzi’s body. She raises an eyebrow.
“Or what, Azzi?” A shiver runs through Azzi’s body. She isn’t prepared for the back and forth, but she scrambles for a response anyway.
“Or I’ll take myself somewhere else and find somebody who will fuck me.”
She’s bluffing. They both know that, but the idea lights a flame in Paige’s stomach. She walks forward quickly, grabbing Azzi’s hips and manhandling her into the living room. She shoves her against the side of the couch and then backs up without saying anything.
Azzi starts to turn around to face Paige, but ends that attempt quickly, gripping her with large, warm hands to stop her motion.
“Paige–” Azzi starts. Paige shushes her.
“Nah. You wanna act like a brat? You’re gonna get treated like a brat. Stand there and fucking listen to me,” Paige orders. Azzi’s knees get a little weak, and she grabs the arm of the couch to stabilize herself.
“Okay. Okay, yeah,” she whispers, more to herself than to Paige.
“Look at you. All dressed up for me, wearing my name, fucking advertising who you belong to. Tell me, baby.”
“Yes, all for you. This is for you, P. I’m yours,” Azzi promises. Her voice is already breathy, and Paige hasn’t even touched her. She’s still several feet behind her, eyes tracing the way the fabric with her own name drapes over Azzi’s curves. She whispers a curse to herself before coming up behind Azzi and shoving her down over the arm of the couch.
“Stay down, just like that,” she demands. Azzi’s nodding before she has really registered the words.
“Okay. Yeah, I can do that,” she babbles. Paige runs her hand over the letters of her name on the jersey carefully. The action is contrasted with her hands roughly shoving Azzi’s skirt down to her ankles only a second later. Azzi is left in a pair of light purple panties and Paige’s jersey. She starts moving to take the jersey off to help Paige speed up the process, but she doesn’t get far.
“Stop. Keep it on,” Paige orders. Azzi freezes, letting the jersey cover her briefly exposed skin again. “I wanna see my name on your body while I fuck you,” she murmurs. Azzi clenches around nothing as a gush of slick leaves her. Paige sees it, sees the way the wet spot on Azzi’s panties is suddenly darker and larger, and she grins.
“That sound good to you?” She taunts.
“Yes. Please. Sounds good,” Azzi pleads. Paige nods, seemingly satisfied with this answer, and pulls Azzi’s panties down to her ankles as well.
“Stay,” she commands. And, like a fucking dog, Azzi does. She stands completely still, bent over the side of the couch with her skirt and panties around her ankles while Paige leaves the room for a few moments, then returns with a noticeable bulge in her sweatpants. Azzi swallows, suddenly salivating.
“Good girl, Az. Good job staying still for me. Now bend over more and arch,” Paige commands. Azzi does as she’s told without thinking while the sounds of clothes shuffling and hitting the floor fill the space behind her. Her thighs twitch.
Azzi gasps when the thick head of the strap presses against her hole, dragging through her folds just to tease her. “Paige,” she pleads, arching her back further. Paige chuckles darkly.
“Tell me what you want.”
“Want you to fuck me, please, need your cock Paige.” Azzi’s hips stutter when Paige moves again, the tip of the cock catching on her clit. “Oh, please,” she tries again. Paige pulls her hips away, taking all the stimulation with her, and Azzi feels like she honestly might cry.
Then Paige is back, lining the tip of her cock up with Azzi’s hole and pressing in. It’s careful for all of three seconds, and then Paige is snapping her hips with a kind of force Azzi didn’t know she was capable of. It pushes her whole body forward, hips bumping into the couch, elbows sliding over the cushions as she tries to stay still.
It’s impossible not to move, though. Paige doesn’t slow down in the slightest. She thrusts into her hard and fast, dragging obscene squelching sounds from Azzi’s cunt that make her blush.
“Fuck, look at you. Wearing my name while I fuck you. Dirty fucking slut. Just want everybody to know who you belong to,” Paige says between heavy breaths. Azzi moans, mouth open, eyes shut, and grips the couch cushions. “Tell me, Azzi. Who do you belong to? Whose name are you wearing?”
Azzi tries desperately to form the words, but her brain is so caught up in the pleasure between her legs that all she can do is whine and push her hips back. Paige thrusts into Azzi again, so deep she can feel it in her stomach, and then she stops.
Paige stays completely still behind the younger girl, cock still buried deep, and all Azzi can do is clench around it and let out a pathetic little sound. Paige’s hips twitch when she hears it, but she quickly grips Azzi’s waist and holds her down on her cock firmly. Azzi wants to cry.
“Paige, please, why? Why did you stop? I was so close. Why?” Azzi sounds like a child whining about a toy she didn’t want to share, even to her own ears. If she weren’t so worked up, she might have cared. But her cunt is throbbing, dripping down her thighs, and Paige is buried inside her, so Azzi doesn’t care one bit if she sounds like a spoiled brat.
“I asked you a question,” Paige says. Her voice is low and rough, and Azzi honestly can’t help it when her back arches more, pressing her ass into Paige’s hips. Paige tightens her grip on Azzi’s waist, fingers digging into the bones painfully. Azzi feels her slick drip down the inside of her knee.
“Who do you belong to?” Paige prompts. This time, free from the beautiful torture of Paige thrusting roughly into her cunt, Azzi finds the words.
“You. Paige. I belong to you. I’m yours,” she promises eagerly. Paige’s eyes flutter shut with a groan.
“Damn right you are. You’re my slut. Say it.”
“I’m your slut.” Paige’s hips slide out, then snap back in harder than before. Azzi moans loudly, and she knows Paige’s neighbors can probably hear her, but all she can think is how proud she would be for them to know who’s fucking her this good. To know who owns her like this.
Paige slides in again, so deep Azzi can feel it in her guts, and it knocks loose the flow of words from Azzi’s throat.
“I’m your slut, Paige, you fuck me so good. Only you, I swear. Nobody else could fuck me this good. I’m yours, oh, please–” she whines loudly when Paige’s arm wraps around to her front and she starts to tease Azzi’s clit in fast little circles. She’s barely pressing down, barely giving Azzi enough to feel it, but it’s almost too much at the same time. Azzi clenches down on Paige’s cock, making the slide harder, but Paige just slams in rougher, pushing Azzi’s clit into her hand.
“Fuck, Paige. So close, gonna cum, please, gonna–” Paige drives into her over and over, each snap of her hips an exclamation point on the possession fueling the movements.
“So easy for me. Only for me, right, Az?” Paige taunts. Still, she doesn’t slow her hips or her fingers, driving Azzi higher by the second.
“Only you, just for you. I’m yours, please let me cum,” she begs. Paige leans forward, sucks a bruise into Azzi’s neck, drags her teeth over her pulse point, and then pulls back again, all without slowing down.
“Look so fucking good in my jersey. Fuck, Az. Been such a good girl, you can cum for me. Let go, baby.” It only takes the words and a few more circles of Paige’s fingers on Azzi’s clit before she’s cumming, shaking apart on Paige’s cock as she fucks her through it.
Paige doesn’t slow down in the slightest as Azzi collapses forward over the armrest of the couch. She keeps snapping her hips into Azzi’s cunt roughly, her fingers circle faster, and everything sounds so wet that Azzi genuinely wonders if there’s going to be a stain on the couch when she gets up.
“Good girl, Az. Get up, baby. Turn around for me. Come on,” Paige urges, finally pulling her cock out. Her voice is still low, but it’s edged with a tightness that Azzi is less familiar with. She does her best to push herself off the couch, to turn around and lean against the armrest, but her legs are shaking badly enough that Paige has to steady her.
“Fuck, there you go honey. Doin’ so good. Just give me one more.” That’s all Paige says before she drops to her knees in front of the younger girl.
She pushes her legs apart, guides one over her shoulder, and then just stares for a moment. The look on her face is one of awe, the same look people give famous artwork or a particularly beautiful sunset. There’s a hunger simmering in her eyes that doesn’t come from sunsets, though. Paige licks her lips and then slides two fingers into Azzi’s dripping cunt. Her eyes drift shut as she hums at the feeling.
“So fucking tight. Always so tight and wet. Look at that pretty pussy, just swallowing me up. Shit, so hot baby. Just relax f’me.” Azzi does, letting her body melt into the pleasure of Paige’s fingers.
Once she gets going, she’s not gentle. Paige’s fingers slam into Azzi’s cunt repeatedly, drawing out more slick and making Azzi twitch in overstimulation.
“Fuck, Paige. Too much,” Azzi whines. Paige looks up at her and Azzi almost cums on the spot.
Her blue eyes are wide and reverent, shining as her gaze darts between Azzi’s face and where her cunt is swallowing her fingers hungrily. As Azzi studies her, she realizes that Paige has her other hand between her legs, fingers teasing her clit. Azzi lets out a high-pitched whine and forces her eyes to stay open to watch.
“You can take it. Watch me and take it,” Paige orders. Azzi doesn’t even think about obeying. Her body just does it.
She watches as Paige leans forward and starts to leave little kitten licks to her clit. She watches as Paige slides a finger into herself, hips twitching forward. And she keeps watching when Paige moves down to slide her tongue into Azzi’s cunt next to her fingers.
Paige hums at the taste, and the vibration sends shivers through Azzi’s body. She’s rapidly approaching the edge, and the way Paige’s hand moves between her own legs is only making it worse.
“Shit, baby. Taste so good. You’re so wet. Who’s this for?” Paige pulls away to whisper the words in between breaths.
“All for you. You make me this wet, P,” Azzi whimpers. Her head tips back again, eyes fluttering, but then Paige’s teeth graze her clit and her eyes fly open again.
“Fuck,” she rasps.
“Look at me,” Paige demands. “Look at how I make you cum.” And Azzi does.
Paige keeps licking her, alternating between messy, flat lines over her clit and sliding her tongue into her cunt. Through it all, Paige fucks her fingers deep into Azzi, drawing out wet sounds and moans.
“Close,” Azzi whines. Paige opens her mouth wider, jaw starting to ache, but she doubles her effort and licks Azzi’s clit with renewed vigor.
After a few more moments, Paige lets out something that might be a whimper, her hips twitching forward again. Before Azzi realizes what’s happening, Paige has slid forward, stopped fucking herself with her fingers, and is dragging her cunt over the top of Azzi’s foot sloppily. The image is absolutely filthy, and Azzi didn’t know how much she needed to see it. To see just how desperate Paige could get, just from fucking Azzi.
“Oh god, Paige, holy shit, wait, I think I need to–” Azzi tries to warn the blonde, but she can’t get the words out fast enough. All it takes is one more glance down at Paige, grinding herself on Azzi’s foot, bumping her clit into her ankle, before something snaps in Azzi’s stomach.
She cums with a cry and a gush of liquid, rushing down her legs and onto Paige’s face and dripping onto the floor. Some of it hits her foot, and Paige sobs as she rubs herself faster, the liquid making the motion easier.
“Please, Paige, give it to me, please,” Azzi begs. Paige is still flicking her tongue against Azzi’s clit, although her eyes have rolled back into her head and she’s using both hands to grip Azzi’s hips and steady herself now.
“Fuck, I’m yours, cum for me, please, I want it,” Azzi continues. Her brain hasn’t quite caught up with the stimulation still coming from between her thighs, so it sneaks up on her when Paige lets out a cry, her teeth grazing Azzi’s clit, and she shatters again.
She doesn’t squirt this time, just shakes apart under Paige’s hands, fingers flying into Paige’s hair to steady herself. She’s moaning again, too, mouth open and head tipped back. Somewhere in the haze of pleasure and overstimulation, Paige’s movements slowed to a stop. She lets her cunt just rest on top of Azzi’s foot, hips twitching every so often as she comes down.
They’re both panting, faces wet from Azzi’s cunt or tears or both. They don’t speak at first. Paige presses a gentle kiss to the inside of Azzi’s knee, does the same on the other side, and rests her head there carefully.
“You okay? Was that too much?” Paige rasps. Azzi lets out a breath that might be a laugh.
“In a good way. Me squirting maybe should have been a sign that it was good,” she jokes. Paige smiles, eyes drifting shut.
“You were so good for me. My perfect girl,” she mumbles. Clearly, the combination of exhaustion from the game and the orgasm is getting to her, so Azzi helps tug Paige off the floor, wincing at how sticky her thighs are.
“Shower, then bed,” she declares. Paige mumbles something that might be an argument, but she doesn’t fight it when Azzi guides her into a hot shower, the water washing away sweat and slick and saliva.
“You were so good to me tonight,” Azzi whispers into the steam, her hands massaging shampoo into Paige’s hair. Paige leans her forehead into Azzi’s collarbone, pressing a gentle kiss to the skin.
“You’re good to me. I just give it back to you,” she murmurs. Azzi smiles.
“I love you, P,” she whispers. She feels Paige smile against her.
“I love you. Mine, forever,” Paige whispers back.
