Thank you for your request, and I hope that you like this! I watched the animation, and I thought it was AMAZING??! I really liked the style, and how much thought and work was put into it-I don't know how to describe it, but I liked it. And also, this song is so good. I have never listened to it before (or at least I don't think I have), but I'm glad I have now 😋😋 I tried to capture both the visuals of the video and how it made me feel/the vibes it gave off, and I hope it's good! :3

Like SERIOUSLY I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW GOOD IT IS. It’s haunting, it’s beautiful, it’s expressive, it’s unsettling! it makes my brain itch! 😵‍💫🤯

Ps. The animator is Sagpi. This video had like 750 views when I found it which I thought was criminally low for the beauty of what they made and the amount of time it must have taken. If you like the video I hope you write a nice comment for the animator or check out some of their other creations (they have a few hauntingly beautiful animations of some mitski songs too) 😊

An Odyssey Commenter, Mary Reuefle once apparently said this:

And I don't think I have ever been striken in the feels more by an Odyssey commenter before! Because this makes so much sense! Especially judgng how the Sirens actually start their singing which says "come to us Odysseus son of Laertes pride and glory of the Achaeans" bla bla bla... We see them know who he is and where he comes from and we can assume they know his life before so why not after as well?

The sirens seem to be singing glorious stories in the Odyssey judging by how they start their singing. Now real or not that is a different story. They could be singing a false version of your life or your achievements, claiming they know your future.

And someone made an AMAZING animated sequence in which apparently the Sirens are showing Odyseus a twisted version of his future (somehow makes me feel like "Telegony" is like a fake future story the Sirens have for him! XD) which was an amazing interpretation

Really love how in the odyssey, we never hear what the sirens sing of exactly. They say that they will sing of everything. And odysseus is left there to listen, but he never recounts later on what he actually heard. So we are left there to wonder, to long for answers. We want to know. You could almost say we want to listen to the sire- uh oh.
