Hold the fuck on. I just saw Rosanna Pansino’s review of those Mr. Beast, Logan Paul, and KSI collab Lunchly things. You know, the Lunchable dupes? Not only did she talk about how she’d heard that some customers had moldy ones, but she included multiple videos of customers showing their moldy ones, and she, HERSELF, got a moldy one. This problem is so prevalent that a YouTuber in Los Angeles bought two random ones from a store and managed to get ones with mold. Ro said she felt like the seal on the packaging felt cheap and that’s probably why.
So my question is, if this is a widespread issue that’s being documented all over the Internet… How tf is there not an FDA Recall on this shit. This dangerous. These are being given to children who may not know what mold is and are just going to eat this. Like holy fuck.

MINIVERSE RECALL. To the shock of no one, the liquid resin they are marketing in the @#$%ing toy aisle is hazardous.
^MGA refund/replacement form.
If you are still determined to use this stuff, please always (to quote TheCrafsMan) WEAR YOU SOME GLOVES and have proper ventilation, or replace the resin with clear Mod Podge or acrylic medium, tinted with paint.

TreeHouse Foods, a multinational food-processing company, announced the voluntary recall of hundreds of its frozen waffle products on Friday. "Lactaid milk is being recalled due to the potential presence of almonds, a common tree nut allergen.
The Food and Drug Administration and HP Hood LLC announced the voluntary recall Sept. 20.
HP Hood said it discovered the potential almond contamination following a "routine maintenance" review but also said they have not received any reports of any illnesses so far.
Five varieties of refrigerated Lactaid milk in 96-ounce containers are included in the recall – whole milk, 2% milk, 1% milk, fat-free milk, and calcium-enriched milk – for potentially having trace amounts of almonds, which are undeclared in the recalled milk products' ingredients list.
The recalled milk products were shipped to retailers and wholesalers in 27 states in September.
A list of Lactaid milk containers affected by the recall and their best by dates, product names and expiration dates can be found on FDA's website.
Customers with the recalled Lactaid milk, which doesn't contain the lactase sugar found in traditional cow's milk, are advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Impacted customers can also reach out to Hood Consumer Affairs at 800-242-2423. The call line is available on weekdays between 9 a.m. ET and 5:00 p.m. ET."

Remember when Trump tried to gut the FDA and the CDC and USDA and dismantle regulations put in place to keep our food systems and medications safe? Anyone worried about listeria or salmonella right now should be really concerned about how much worse this will get under a second Trump term.

All the recent food recalls (and RFK Jr. potentially being in charge of the FDA 🙃) got me thinking about making a little food safety zine. I'm still working on a printable one-page zine, but I realized I could whip up a quick digital version! The complete 10-page zine is available for free on gumroad and has information about some of the most common foodborne illnesses and how to avoid them! Even if you have a good understanding of safe cooking practices, I bet you'll learn something new! (For example, I had never in my life considered the fact that I should wash melons before cutting them. So that was my fun fact of the day lol.)
#food safety#psa#resources#zine#food recall#recalls#listeria#I'll probably make a version for my irl insta because my Mom has started getting into raw milk 🙃🙃🙃

It can range from a mild illness lasting a few weeks to a serious illness lasting several months. Illness generally occurs within 15 to 50 days of exposure and includes fatigue, abdominal pain, jaundice, abnormal liver tests, dark urine and pale stool. In rare cases, particularly consumers who have a pre-existing severe illness or are immune compromised, Hepatitis A infection can progress to liver failure. In case you experienced Hepatitis A symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect [and] resolve issues and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance [of food contamination-related illnesses].

General Motors (GM) has announced a massive recall affecting some of its popular models due to a powertrain issue. In an updated recall on November 1, Transport Canada stated that GM is recalling 52,220 light trucks, vans, and SUVs across the country. The agency explained that the faulty part is the transmission control valve, which, over time, "could wear and lose pressure." "If this happens, the transmission could shift harshly and could cause the rear wheels to lock up," reads the release. "Rear wheels that lock suddenly could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash."
