S1E7 was the gateway into the “Therapist Dennis” we know in “The Gang Gets Analyzed” (S8E5), and I hate how self-righteous and snarky he is but I love the continuation, so…

the fact that we had Karen angry at Hen for being absent from their kids' lives and that we had Eddie being angry with Buck for being absent from their kid's Chris' life makes me put my head in my hands and breathe deeply. Just a little.
#I felt that Karen's storyline in S8E5 was maybe not the most in character and I didn't love it#however#this parallel does make me laugh-cry#911 abc#911 spoilers#eddie diaz#evan buckley#karen wilson#henrietta wilson#I actually felt the whole scene with Denny and Hen and Karen and Chim was amazing though#completely heartwrenching#but amazing#I cried for real

Like…how is anyone convinced Dean isn’t a bisexual man? Especially here in S8E5 “Blood Brother” when Benny has called Dean for help, who leaves Sam to try to find Kevin.
Sam is having flashbacks of his year without Dean, about the woman he had a romantic relationship with, Amelia. Makes sense. He left her to return to Dean but he still cared for her and the life they had together.
And Dean? In this same exact episode where Sam is having flashbacks about lost love?
Dean is having flashbacks about Benny and the life they had in Purgatory.
Like…idk man. Seems pretty sus to have both Winchesters have flashbacks in the same episode about someone in their past with whom they had a significant relationship but ultimately left behind for their brother.
And that scene where Benny comes out of the bathroom and Dean tells him he looks good? Sure, he recovered from severe injuries very quickly, but the scene mirrors another fairly famous scene of someone else coming out of a bathroom freshly clean and dressed, don’t ya think?
And then the previous episode, “Bitten”, Dean is fully accepting of letting a werewolf go free as long as she doesn’t eat humans. Just like he let Benny go. Mr “a monster is a monster” let a werewolf go free because of the significant relationship he had with a vampire.
And Sam’s face at the end of “Blood Brother”, even before he shakes Benny’s hand and realizes he’s a vampire, when he sees Dean and Benny together? Idk about you but to me it looks like the face of wondering if your brother has a new (or old) flame you never knew about, especially with the way Dean acted earlier about needing to leave for personal personal reasons.
But like, if Benny was a woman, what do you think casual viewers would think of the parallel between these flashbacks? Of the way these two men stare at each other throughout the course of this episode?
Just sayin.
also, not to mention the flashbacks with Dean, Benny, and Castiel all together, and Dean’s adamance about not leaving Castiel behind, telling him to escape from the Leviathans, and his face when Benny saves Castiel from one of the Levis…like…boy is so bi coded and caught in a love triangle more than once

I keep seeing people using things that happened in 8x05 as this "undeniable truth" that Tommy is a bad boyfriend or at least that Buck isn't as invested in him as a partner as he should be (and especially comparing things to how Buck acts around Eddie) and I just...listen, I get that the initial read on some of these things can look a certain way, but if you spend more than 2 seconds thinking about them, they aren't actually "undeniably" anything.
the biggest one I'm seeing is Tommy not being a part of the group chat and Buck not adding him to it after he laments how he wishes he had something like that. first of all, we don't know who all is in that group chat. Is it a strictly 118 thing (and I'm including Athena and Maddie in that because they regularly work so closely to the 118)? If so, why would Tommy be added to a work chat when he's not part of the team? He's worked with them all of ONE time; he isn't someone who would regularly even be able to work with the 118 (think about how few times air rescue has been called in on any of their calls). And the way that line from Tommy comes across anyways is that he's sad he doesn't have a team of coworkers that are so close like that - which is ALSO something he's brought up before, so it's a reoccurring theme for Tommy to be bummed he's not a part of the current 118 and the dynamic they have. That doesn't have anything to do with his and Buck's relationship
I've also seen a lot about how Tommy reacts to all the curse talk, saying that he's unsupportive or grossed out or whatever, and this is usually paired with the implication that Eddie reacts any better. Let's go chronologically - first, "Eddie is at his bedside and Tommy doesn't get there until later" okay are we ignoring that Eddie was literally THERE when Buck messed up his arm and Tommy specifically says he came as soon as his shift was over? Bobby is a million times more likely to let Eddie (his best friend) off shift early to go with Buck than Tommy's captain would probably be, boyfriend or not. Next, I keep seeing "Tommy laughed at his situation and brushed off his curse theory right off the bat" - so did Eddie! They laugh about it together over Buck's shoulder. In fact, Eddie and Tommy equally brush off and dismiss the curse thing multiple times throughout the episode - no one believes him about the curse, so why is it so much worse that Tommy doesn't believe him? Then with the boils, someone used the fact that Eddie, and not Tommy, was 'cleaning up/treating' the boils as a gotcha, but boyfriend or not, Tommy isn't a medic and Eddie is. It didn't even look like Eddie was doing anything to help with the boils; he was likely called over to take a look at Buck and give him his medical opinion, which Tommy can't give because he doesn't have the medic background like Eddie does. And lastly, the cemetery scene - people are very caught up in how far away Tommy is standing from Buck, as if that proves literally anything. That was obviously something Buck felt like he needed to do, and he absolutely could have gone on his own, especially since no one else beleived him about the curse, but he asked Tommy to come anyways. And if Tommy didn't believe in the curse, why would he go if not to support his boyfriend? I even saw someone say Tommy looked bored and like he didn't want to be there the whole time, but like? Did we watch the same scene? The camera pans to Tommy looking fondly and smiling at Buck MULTIPLE times. And people acting like the "my own boyfriend won't even kiss me" line means that Tommy is grossed out by the boils, but he immediately followed Buck's line with "oh that's not true" - just because we don't see them kiss doesn't mean it didn't happen. Plus, compare that with Eddie like people seem to love to do, and Eddie could barely look at Buck's face after he first looked him over, while Tommy continued to look at Buck like nothing had changed
Now I'm not saying I think Buck and Tommy are endgame and that Eddie and Buck will never get together - I've been a Buddie shipper for years and can definitely see them still making that happen eventually. I'd be over the damned moon if it ever did! But people are talking about this episode like it proves that Tommy's already one foot out the door and Buck is gonna break up with him like next episode or something. Like, even if it doesn't last forever, can't we just enjoy a bi-Buck storyline where he's in a healthy relationship for once? Eddie has so much of his own shit going on right now with Christopher - it would be so wild to also toss him a coming out plot in the middle of that. If Buddie is gonna happen, it'll happen. In the meantime, let Buck be happy for a bit, please, I beg

Seemed really out of character for everyone to agree on ditching the lions when they got gravity beamed in the middle of no where knowing damn well that could end in them stranded if the ship attacking them just decided to take the lions
It really feels like it was a strange decision

If Hollywood would just let me in, I'd be spitting ideas all day, free of charge.
A comedy biopic of Edgar Allan Poe starring Marc Maron.
A bromance with Aaron Paul and Daniel Radcliffe in the cutthroat world of male modeling.
