Still in my season 4 rewatch and now on to Demons. Bro, Scully will always believe and support the most logical and obvious answer. She has been the advocate for the most logical answer the last four seasons, battling Mulder at every turn when he proposes something insane. She will always defend the most probable explanation.
Except for when it’s Mulder that’s in trouble. Except for when all the evidence is pointing at Mulder and accusing him of murdering two people. If it was anyone else she would have been satisfied with the conclusion that he murdered those people. Except it’s not anyone it’s MULDER and she fights tooth and nail to prove that their is an alternative explanation. She throws her reason, her deductions all aside because she knows Mulder didn’t kill those people, and she literally goes against her core beliefs to prove it.
Nobody and I mean NOBODY is doing it like these two, I’m going to go throw up now

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny in The X-Files (1993) Demons
S4E23
Mulder awakens on a Sunday in a cheap motel in Providence, Rhode Island. He has no idea how he got there and has no memory of what may have occurred in the last two days. His clothes are also covered in blood. He has been having vivid dreams however. In one, he recalls his parents having an argument with the Cigarette Smoking Man about Samantha. Mulder was only 12 years-old at the time. He also has images of a white house. Scully soon joins him and they locate the white house with two bodies inside. As far as the local police are concerned, Mulder is their main suspect. Scully however doesn't believe he killed anyone and tries to find the common denominator between her partner and the victims.
*Producer/ writer R.W. Goodwin was inspired to write the episode after reading "An Anthropologist on Mars," a series of essays by Oliver Sacks, in particular "The Landscape of Dreams," featuring a man who could recall every detail of his childhood.

I think i just watched the most emotionally devastating episodes of television in the most terrible circumstances i could physically manage
Okay so i'm into ABC Castle, like deeeeep into castle. This show has given me more brainrot then any show ever had (this is 99% because of Kate, obviously). The last half of season 4 is absolute torture because the will they wont they is getting wirse and worse. Ive been screaming in frustration all through it because it became unbearable. Finally season 4 finale, this HAD to be the moment they would finally smooch those lips together and get together! Right? Yes... BUT NOT BEFORE THE MOST INTENSE FUCKING EPISODE. I would have screamed all the way through if my dad didn't shush me! And i WOULD have been invested in any case, but god the circumstances made it so. much. worse.
Because
1) I was expecting this to be the sweet episode whwre they got together, not the episode thats trauma and akso them getting together in the second to last scene
2) I had literally made Kate and Castle into d&d NPC's (yes im that brainrotted, shush) for my campaign and made Stana (my Kate character, i used the actor names reasons, and i made em Lionin abd the actors last names had good opportunities for cat puns 😌) very important to the plot, needing to roleplay her quite a bit, needing to get really into Kate's head. So yk worsening my Kate obsession and also making me feel way more empty for a fictional character then i usually would
3) Im on my period, hormones are doing in shit and STOMACH ACHEEE
Please god send help im unwell i wanna cry this show is torture and i cannot stop watching because its SO GOOOOOOD

Kate Mulgrew as Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager (S4E23, 1997)
Save it for the holodeck. We've got a war to fight.
