maggie…maggie is a lesbian? you had no clue but now that you thought about it it made sense. She never was really interested in any of the guys. She always was with girls, hardly sparing a glance to a guy except for Colin since he is the brother and of course father. dad was looking at the letter with furrowed brows “Maggie, are you a lesbian?” he said softly. Mom chimed in “Honey why didn't you just tell us? We would and still would support you w-“ mom stopped upon seeing maggies face. It was hung and shrouded in darkness so it was hard to tell what her face was like. Oh boy did that change fast. Maggie's head snapped up “NONE OF YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO KNOW!!!” she screamed. Her face streaked with tears, your eyes widened “maggie-“ she cut you off “DON'T MAGGIE ME! I TRIED TO KEEP ONE THING TO MYSELF THAT MADE ME HAPPY AND THIS IS WHAT I GET?!” she slammed her fist against the wall making people jump. You swallowed “Maggie i was just worried about you i didn't know!” maggie shoved you “BECAUSE YOU JUST NEVER KNOW DO YOU?! I TOLD YOU NO AND YOU STILL DIDNT LISTEN!! THIS IS WHY FIVE WONT WRITE YOU ITS BECAUSE YOU FUCKING SUCK!! YOUR PERSONALITY IS BULLSHIT!!!” mom tries to jump in “Honey maggie please w-“ maggie went off on her to “FUCK YOU TOO MOM!! ALWAYS SO UP EVERYONE'S ASS ABOUT FINDING LOVE YOU ARE SO PUSHY AND ANNOYING!” Before Colin could even speak she went off on him too “DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON YOU!! KEEP YOUR FILTHY LETTERS TO YOURSELF! YOU AND PENNY ARE SICKENING!!” Everyone was shocked at seeing this. Mom began to cry and dad took her and led her out of the room “Okay kids come on everyone out maggie needs some time” maggie threw a book at you as you tried to leave “YEAH DAD GIVE EVERYONE ADVICE TO LEAVE! IM NOT ALLOWED TO BE HAPPY AND THINKS ITS WEIRD WHEN I AM BUT THE SECOND ANYONE ELSE IS HAPPY EVERYONE ELSE IS HAPPY!! FUCK YOU GUYS!!! FUCK YOU!!!”

You felt like the biggest piece of shit. You were just worried about her but now you made everyone upset because you worried. You didn't mean to pry like this into something super personal. You just were worried by the sudden change in attitude and the staying out all the time and obviously the guy in the alley way. It all worried you. Maggie was usually quiet and sweet ans was just sorta there but now that she had something to be happy about AKA violet than that meant you took the one thing ahe was most happy about and crushed it under your sole. God you really blew it this time. the next day maggie didn't even look at any of you and just left the house without a word. Mom would break down and cry and head to the bedroom where dad would follow. Colin picked at his food. Trisha was confused and tried to ask but it was a touchy subject considering you guys learned it against her wishes. You told her you would tell her kater which she complied too. you stayed by the window in your bedroom looking out it wondering when maggie would be back if back at all. You felt horrible for what you did. God you hoped maggie is okay.

‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Casts Yerin Ha as Benedict’s Love Interest Sophie Beckett

“Bridgerton” has cast Yerin Ha as Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest for Season 4.

According to sources, Ha will play Sophie Beckett in the upcoming season of the hit Shondaland-Netflix series. As previously announced, Season 4 will tell Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) love story and will be based on the events of Julia Quinn’s third “Bridgerton” novel, “An Offer From a Gentleman.”

Beckett is the “Lady in Silver.” In the novel, she is the illegitimate daughter of an earl and one his maids. She was brought up in her father’s house, though he never publicly acknowledged her as his daughter.

Ha is perhaps best known to American audiences for her role in the Paramount+ series adaptation of the “Halo” video games. She appeared in both seasons of the series in the role of Kwan Ha. Her other credits include the Australian shows “Reef Break,” “Troppo,” and “Bad Behaviour,” as well as the independent horror film “Sissy.” She will next appear in the Max prequel series “Dune: Prophecy,” which is slated to air in November on the streamer.

She is repped by WME and Morrissey Management.

My Simblreen 2024 Gifts: Regency Dresses and Accessories

Yes, I know I used that GIF for my porchlight, but I don't have time to go and take another picture and I'm drafting this the night before because I procrastinate and do things at the last minute. Anyway, happy Halloween, I am sharing my Simblreen treats publicly with y'all

You will be getting three AF dresses (2 for formal wear, one for riding), 1 Lace Collar Accessory (Found in the necklace category) 1 Fichu Accessory, and 1 Paisley Shawl Accessory (Both found in the glasses category), and 1 Regency Poke Bonnet (Found in the Hat Category). I also had a turban hat hair to release but forgot I made it in July when I was experiencing hat hair difficulties so it will have to wait to be released with my next hat hairs.

Below, I'm going to insert some pictures of what you'll be getting, I used meshes and textures from maya40 which she was kind enough to send to me. I also recolored @cringeborg's yplum riding habit because she had already converted it. The other dresses are just a long-sleeved version I made of these. The textures are based on dresses in real life.

Stuff generally works from about 1810-1826. The poke bonnet could very well work until the late 1830s, and the fichu could work from about 1750-all throughout the 19th century.

BGC, everything is low poly except the Augusta Poke Bonnet. It is 27k poly and I cannot decimate it without it having holes unfortunately. If your computer can't handle it, don't put it in your mods folder.

General Warning: I run dx9, if you experience any issues with not seeing some stuff in CAS that uses transparency, I'd run a batch fix with s4s if you run dx11 : )

"WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS?"

Involuntarily your eyes flickered to the table, and he followed, turning his head to the study, which he noticed immediately was tidied—tampered with. "You went through my things?”

“I did not mean to!” you exclaimed, gaping at his sudden charge towards the desk, you hot at his heels. “I just thought it looked like a mess, so I tried cleaning it—”

“You are not a servant,” he cut off, darting over the new order of his account books, as well as the fiction which you had assembled. “You are not required to look after me like that.”

“I know, but—”

“And sneaking out with my possessions? Without my permission?” He smacked the book on the table, making you flinch. “I thought you better than that.”

You were better than that—well, at least until tonight. You ransacked your mind for an excuse, any form of escape, except your words were absolutely pathetic. “You have never minded me reading your novels before,” you attempted. “In fact, you encouraged me to scour your shelves.”

He looked at the book again—a moment too long—and went back to set a slight glare upon you. “Well, my journal is not a trivial novel. It was private…not meant for you.”

You knew that. What did not settle well, though, was that your dearest friend, who had shared his every worry, his every confession to you, had been doing things you had no inkling of, things that incited such…extraordinary feelings from you.

You had to know what more lay in those pages—and why you had felt the way you felt in those pages which your eyes did scour. “I read it.”

His glare faltered. “How much?”

That question was answered with another. “What was it, Joshua?” You stepped forward, a timid gesture, so you could catch a look at the hardback again. “I…I read some pages, and…what was she doing?”

His hand on his journal pushed it back. “I do not know.”

“Liar,” you got out, and he pursed his lips. You knew him irritatingly well. “You are keeping things from me.”

“It is not keeping things from you,” he countered, frustration rising in his voice. “It is…protecting you from those…things.”

“Tell me what those things are, Joshua,” you demanded, quietly but not softly. “It has rattled you enough. That has never happened to you.”

But he was silent. Eerily quiet, merely the rustle of his clothes, the soft thunk of his novella settled back with the French novels which raised your suspicions. A boundary made—a rejection established.

Perhaps you would have respected it in another lifetime—in a world where you had not indulged your curiosity, set your eyes upon entities which were not for you to explore. Perhaps you would have respected it even if Joshua had offered to enlighten you—maybe blushed and ran away, and vowed never to look through his possessions again.

The writings had rattled you, though, more than he realised. Social etiquette—good common sense would have expected you to respect his opinion, opinions of society, and drop the subject.

Joshua Hong, however, was your greatest friend. No societal expectation could change that.

So you opted to push the limits. Refuse the silence to be the end of this matter.

“I read enough, you know. To feel…” A pause. “I cannot even describe to you how I felt, because I have never felt that way before.” You tried to find the right words, a single confession out of order and he would stop listening—or so you thought. “There was an extract you wrote, Joshua, which had certain…descriptions…” Burning. Pleasure. Naked. Fire. Ecstasy. “There was a girl who was doing something. I am unsure what she was doing specifically, but…what she felt watching them…”

A soft exhale released from you, and almost instinctively Joshua released his own breath. “I think I…um, I think I felt a remnant of it.”

He blurted out, barely a whisper, “You what?”

You looked at him—barely managed a nod. “I do not…don’t even know what she was doing with her fingers—” Joshua’s sudden coughing interrupted you, holding a fist to his lips to stop himself—“But whatever it was…I want to know what it was.”

You watched the man stay deathly still, yet the emotions racing behind his face were certain. Not only were you rattled, but had passed this strange sensation to him. Had he never felt it before? You wondered, surprised by the similarity of his reaction to yours.

He then responded to you, and you realised your mistake. “You cannot.”

Another boundary. Another opportunity to cross it. “Why?” This time, you stepped closer to him. “Why can I not know?” He was silent once more, and this time, you would not accept it. “Why are you hiding from me?”

“Because you are a lady!” he finally cut out, an agitated sigh coming straight after. “You are not to know such…such material.”

A lady…that you were aware of, but that still did not answer the question. Joshua watched, Joshua did whatever he had done to a lady. The answer was not good enough.

Judging by the increasing agitation in your friend’s countenance, he knew it too. It was at that point, though, when you truly noticed his harsh sighs, the tight fists—one at his mouth now trudging to the table, and the other secured at his hip—figure rigid. How affected he was by your questioning.

As if he mirrored the same sensations as you experienced.

“Is it…” You pursed your lips. “Is it because you were feeling them too?”

A blink back—the only recognition of shock. You held onto this, continuing, “Tell me the truth, Joshua. You said yourself, no? That a lady cannot know, but you did not say a gentleman cannot either. You were feeling it too, were you not?”

His eyes were widening with your every word, and he stepped back, almost as if to run away. You did not need an answer from him now—it was abundantly clear that he had undergone such passions, as if it was not certain as you read it. There was only one question left in your arsenal now.

Joshua could have collapsed to the study floor. He heard the questions, and suddenly all he could do was gape at you. The determined curiosity in your eyes, the resolute stature of your body, closer than he last remembered. Oh, he would die before answering such a thing to you. He could not. He could not.

“_____, it is late,” he began after a long time. The slight hope on your face leaving instinctively dampened his spirits. “It is already rash that you came here without a chaperone and I refuse to let you become the centre of ill conversation.”

And there it was. The supposed end.

You did not realise how disappointed you were until you found your voice again, much graver than you expected. “So that is how it will be.”

Fine. If your best friend would not entrust you with such information, you would find the next person who would not be so apprehensive. A fortunate situation that you already had a man in mind.

As you turned on your heel, you heard him ask, “Where are you going?”

You did not stop your walk away, looking over your shoulder as you retorted, “To Soonyoung. At least he will be honest with me, if you choose not to be.”

He must have said something, but you did not deign to hear, only looking to the door, which was slightly ajar. You held your hand out, ready to open it further.

Another force—another hand, larger than yours, slammed the door shut, jumping you out of your skin. Quickly you swivelled to see Joshua, breathing slightly uneven as his hand stayed right beside your head, resting against the wood. “Good God,” you got out, “What was that for?”

“You cannot go to Soonyoung,” he said instead, gaze frantic.

You furrowed your brows. “Why?”

He frowned. He could tell from your irritation that you assumed it was jealousy, a worse morphing of cowardice. It was not jealousy—nothing like that. Soonyoung was like a brother to him, and he knew that if there was anyone else you could have gone to without eliciting scandal, then it was that eccentric. He would explain everything to his friend, and be done with it without furthering his own curiosity.

With that in mind, he would also tell you everything. Joshua was aware that there were skeletons in the closet of such matters, and your door was already slightly ajar. Should you go to Soonyoung to seek counsel, he would break down the doors, and suffocate you with the bones of such sensitive information.

What you asked was no normal feat. What you asked was sensitive. Precious. Soonyoung was trustworthy, but he was not careful.

Joshua, on the other hand, was careful. Very careful, if he thought so himself.

“He would not…explain it properly,” he offered instead.

“At least he will explain it,” you countered, twisting your mouth. “I’d rather something than nothing at all.”

His brows knitted together, desperation rising. “You have to understand me, _____.”

“Not after this.” You tried to avert his gaze, but his eyes—for the very first time—were incredibly hard to ignore. “Let me out the door.”

His reply, although perturbed, was clear. “I cannot.”

“Then tell me, Joshua,” you demanded. “Tell me what she was doing.”

He should have stayed silent forever. What he should have done—as a gentleman, as you yourself had deemed him—was keep his mouth shut.

A semblance of his sanity slipped once he uttered the fated words.

“She was touching herself.”

The Bridgerton fandom (especially the benophie and kanthony fandom) and fatphobia

the bridgerton fandom - especially certain subfandoms - have a huge fatphobia problem and it's really awful. i'm going to include some screenshots of tweets and i don't think these screenshots need any explanation but i'll still talk about them.

but first things first, nicola and therefore pen are not exactly plus size but she is - especially compared to the other lead actresses - not conventionally thin and i think the fact that that nicola/pen isn't even considered plus size makes the fatphobia worse tbh. you just have to be not be conventionally thin for certain people to be awful about your body.

we start with how certain people talk about the intimate/sex scenes in S3 (the first three screenshots are about the carriage scene and the fourth screenshot is about colin and pen having sex scenes). i don't think i have to explain what an awful person you have to be to make these kind of comments about people and their bodies, especially since we don't get to see people in bigger bodies be desired on screen that often. and bridgerton is a show that got famous for their sex scenes but somehow only in s3 it's a problem and we get comments like these? i mean wtf is this like talking about melting their eyes and making fun of that scene??? interesting how they don't want to make fun of the intimate scenes in s1 or s2.

i wish it would stop there but somehow these people are getting worse and i want to talk about how certain people in this fandom think that criticizing the wardrobe and make-up and hair in s3. let be real these criticisms are always a way for them to be fatphobic in a sneaky way because somehow they always only criticize penelope's hair and make-up and costumes and even call her frumpy and her hair in s3 "regency hooker look" like ?????

i think these screenshots are self-explanatory because these are just plain fatphobia because apparently you have to have a certain body type to fit in a bikini and of course only polin doesn't have chemistry.

i had to look at these tweets over and over while making this post and i still can't believe how vile and awful these people are and all this because for once we had a lead that wasn't conventionally thin and her story wasn't about her body and she was desired. and i think that's the problem for a lot of people. colin loved and desired pen and the story didn't focus on her body or weight and she wasn't made to feel less because of her body. a lot of fatphobic people want people who are not conventionally thin to feel ashamed about their bodies and they want to see them be humiliated ad this clearly didn't happen in s3. colin was on his knees (literally and figuratively) for pen.

and let's not forget how a lot of people wanted pen to settle for lord debling, someone who openly told her that he couldn't love her. no one wanted daphne to settle for the prince or kate to court dorset but somehow pen is supposed to settle for a loveless marriage? because even if certain people don't want to admit it, they don't want people in bigger bodies to find love and get a happy-ending. because why else would certain people fantasize about the queen beheading pen for being lady whistledown or even about anthony killing pen. apparently pen deserves to die for her mistakes but daphne who sa-ed her husband and anthony who promised his sister to a pedophile deserve love and forgiveness.

and it interesting how a certain sub-fandom got a lot of new stuff on valentine's day, but the only thing these people could say was how classy the new season is compared to s3. mind you, we haven't seen any scenes of s4 yet, but in their minds s3 is trashy and s4 is going to be classy. a season with a lead with a bigger body is trashy but the seasons before that were classy and the season (that hasn't even aired yet but has a thin lead again) is once again classy and it's so frustrating that these people won't even acknowledge how horrible and awful they are.

the bridgerton fandom is one of the most fatphobic fandoms ever and most of the fandom doesn't even care or actually supports this behaviour and worse celebrates it.

(btw, some of these tweets are also incredibly vile towards luke and keep bringing up his looks and rumors about plastic surgery which is a topic that should be discussed as well.)

First impressions Pt.6

Regency!five x reader

You held a hand in front of the flame to shield the light making sure you were the only one able to see it. You heard Colin and Penny's voice in a little nook that had large windows and curtains. The moon was their backdrop. You hid behind a piece of wall that jutted out. They sounded as if they were arguing. Colin whispered, “You lied to me and told me you were an important lady!” Pennys eyes were worried and soft but she was defensive “I'm sorry colin! I didn't want to tell you about who I truly was!” Colin looked away out the window and crossed his arms “You still lied to me penny…” her eyes were hurt “Does my status as a servant of the hargreeves manor really mean this much to you, colin? Is money all you think of?” colins head snapped to Penny “Of course not! Money is the last thing I look for when I am trying to find someone to court!” he sighed and rubbed his eyes. Your brows knitted as you peeked out from the wall to see and listen better. Penny tried to take his hand but he ripped it away “Colin please… I'm sorry I lied. I really do like you and I want to be with you.” he didn't answer for a minute which stirred poor Pennys nerves up and made her stomach do flips. He finally looked back to her “How can I trust you in a relationship if I can't even trust you now?” her eyes widened tears brimming them “colin…” he shook his head “No penny. You lied to me. How am I gonna trust you?” Penny was saddened a tear fell down her cheek till a wave of anger and frustration flowed through her and she was less than quiet “YEAH I LIED! I UNDERSTAND IT WAS WRONG BUT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND” apparently all sense of being quiet was a foreign concept at this point because Colin raised his own voice. “OH I DON'T UNDERSTAND HUH?! THEN TELL ME WHAT I'M MISSING? THAT YOU CAN'T OWN UP TO YOUR OWN LIES?!” Penny pointed her finger at his chest “IF YOU WERE IN MY SHOES YOU WOULD DO THE SAME THING!” Colin shoved her hand away “WHAT AM I MISSING THAN?! JUST TELL ME PENNY!” he said it with almost an air of desperation. Penny raised her voice more in frustration tears pouring down her cheek “I LIED BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT YOU KNOWING I WAS OF A LOWER STATUS! I DIDN'T NEED YOU KNOWING I WAS JUST SOME WORTHLESS SERVANT, UNDESERVING OF YOUR TIME!” tears poured down her cheeks from sadness and frustration. Colin was stunned into a shock “penny i-” before he could speak any further penny left the area obviously hurt leaving Colin standing there. She was coming down your way which caused you to panic and try to snuff out the flame by blowing on it but it kept doing that stupid thing it does where it doesn't go out. so with your thumb and pointer finger in a panic you snuffed it out causing your fingers to be burned making you hiss. That's gonna hurt for days. You watched as Penny went down the hallway wiping away tears. Colin eventually turned around and left back to his room. You checked if the coast was clear which thankfully it was. You stepped out and looked at their spots where they left. The room felt heavy…you much preferred being back in the comfortable bed provided.

In the morning it was raining outside and raining hard. It smacked the windows like it was trying to get inside the manor. You had gotten dressed and headed downstairs only to find your family talking to the hargreeves. Your father smiled to reginald “reginald i thank you for letting us stay the night in your luxurious home” reginald gave a stoic look but his eyes held respect for your father and appreciation for his kind words “yes i am glad that you enjoyed your night. The beds were to your liking, yes?” your father was gonna speak till your mother spoke up for him “oh yes they were quite comfortable! Excellent beds” your father looked at her smiling but taking her silently shushing her and reminding her of her manners. Grace chuckled from next to reginald. “Seeing as the rain has not stopped I believe I see it fit that you stay here again for the night. It is far too dangerous for your carriages to bring you back home in this sort of condition” your father smiled politely “Sir reigned you are too kind. I thank thee” with that the two families headed to the dining hall where they enjoyed breakfast provided to them. When Penny came around putting dishes on the table her and Collins eyes would occasionally lock together and both her eyes held a longing to them but also a sort of defiance in them. A silent vow to themselves they won't break. Knowing Colin you knew he would break. You knew that eventually she and Colin would fall right back into each other. Call it dumb and foolish, call it hopeless romantics, call it puppy love. Call it what you like but you knew that this was not gonna end in the way you’d expect. Your eyes darted to five who sat eating breakfast looking absolutely tired. He was obviously not a morning person and has already had 2 cups of coffee. RIP his stomach. Once breakfast was done the families talked for a while until you were met with a familiar pair of eyes as both families moved to one of the many living rooms of the manor. It was none other than edward. The very same edward five cut in on the dance at the party thrown here a few days before. Edward smiled and approached you and bowed politely “Mrs L/n what a pleasant surprise to see you here” he stood straight “And i thought i would never see you again” you smiled and crossed your arms “and what are you doing here edward? Also Y/n is just fine you know” he chuckled “Yes i know but your last name is much more appropriate but besides that i am here to speak with reginald about my fathers business. My father has become sick and might pass very soon and I will take over.” your eyes softened “Oh that's awful im so sorry” he shook his head holding up his hand “Please don't be we knew this was to happen soon” you and edward got to talking in conversation before he was pulled away to talk business with reginald. Edward would glance over every so often which seemed friendly enough but something in the pit of your stomach gnawed at you. When Edward was finished talking to reginald it looked like he had something to say. Oh god your stomach was doing horrendous flips. He approached “Y/n i want to ask you something” he gently took your hand leading you into the middle of the room “edward what are you doing” your brows knitted. He smiled and took both your hands in his “Ever since i saw you at the party i can't let you leave my mind. I believe we can learn to get along well because I already have in my mind. Y/n L/n will you take me as your husband?”

how i would write and wish the rest of the bridgerton show would go (following the books but putting the spin onto things as the show has done): includes spoilers!!!

s3 p2 ~ colin and penelope

colin and penelope are engaged, announcing to her family and his. but eloise, upon finding out, forces pen to tell colin that she is lady whistledown. and she does with much nervous anticipation. maybe after she speaks with colin more about his own writing, encouraging him to publish his work. colin’s reaction to her being LW is angry of course — though not like he was when he said he would “ruin” lady whistledown's life upon finding out who the writer is. he is angry at pen for putting herself in danger of getting caught, and the backlash she will undoubtedly face if the ton finds her out.

this will lead into colin demanding pen retire. though she does not want to, for colin she would. she makes her last entry and calls it quits and continues on with her engagement to colin in a peaceful manner...

(this is where part of me wants a different outcome. that pen does not retire as LW and instead keeps writing, after convincing colin why she must, and his anger and jealousy turns to acceptance. i want this outcome a little more because it will keep the mystery of lady whistledown with the show for longer. and keeps a good narrative for the story to move -- and it would be so sad to not have julie andrew's wonderful voice taking us through regency london. the only downside i see to this is the rest of the seasons, which are notably not in the limelight of society and the eyes of the ton like the previous ones are. they are more on the outskirts and the quiet life of the regency era. and thus, LW would not be able to see much of the goings on for the rest of them. and besides, now that penelope will be married, and to the man of her dreams no less, she doesn't much have need for LW anymore. that comfort and wall will be replaced with colin and her future with him. so there are definitely pluses and minuses for each)

during this time, the queen will announce a bounty put on LW: whoever comes forth and exposes LW’s identity will receive a certain amount of money. this spurs cressida to make her announcement that she is LW, thinking the money could help her and her family so she is not forced into an arranged marriage with someone older who she will not like at all. except pen will not let cressida be known as LW and essentially take her work. so she posts her one last issue of exposing cressida, and then she is confronted in her home where cress explains how she knows pen is LW, and pen's slip up.

since finding out pen is LW, colin has been very tense with her, realizing that he is more jealous than anything, that she had a purpose for so long and her writing while gossip filled, was truly very good. and something he thought he could never live up to. but pen keeps insisting he is wonderful.

pen goes to colin, where he sets up his elaborate scheme with anthony, just like in the books, and announces to the entire ton that pen is LW at the last ball of the season, coincidentally, a masquerade ball. which is also where benedict meets the mysterious lady in silver, aka, sophie (opting not to use her last name in case it is changed due to any ethnicity changes the show (hopefully) makes for her), and he falls in love with her at first sight, having their private moment and kiss before she flees from the scene, most likely when colin makes his big announcement and uses it as a quick escape.

upon the ton accepting pen as LW is how s3 will close, leading to benophie's story for s4

s4 ~ benedict and sophie

time jump ~2 years into the future… benedict is stuck and fixated on his lady in silver, trying to find her after 2 years of searching, to no avail. not knowing her name, what she looks like as she was wearing a mask, knowing nothing about her but for her smile and mysteriousness and the raw need of needing her as his wife.

we will receive flashbacks throughout of sophie’s life with the cowpers, living with araminta as a mother and cressida as a sister. her biological father, lord cowper, not seeing her as anything more than a burden, and lady cowper suggesting she’d make a much better use as a mere servant. i believe at the end of s3/into the time jump, lord cowper will pass and araminta and cressida will be left with close to nothing, especially after cress' embarrassment after trying to announce herself as LW. she is a spinster at this point, something nobody ever thought would happen to her. but we see sophie and cressida as children, growing up as friends and the closest thing to sisters either will have (going off of cressida mentioning to eloise in s3p1 that she had a friend when she was young). but the cowper's dislike and disdain for sophie is clear from her childhood.

when the last ball of the season, the masquerade happens (s3ep8), the other servants helped sophie be able to attend for one night, but she is later on discovered by the cowper’s for her efforts and casted out. forced to find work wherever she can.

this lands her in a wealthy home as a servant. she meets benedict here when he attends a party at the home, where he saves her from the hands of her master’s son with filthy intents to touch her. and he takes her to the closest and safest place he can think of: the mondrichs, parents to the new and young lord kent.

they stay there with them for some time while sophie decides what to do with herself, where we see some of the mondrich's life and their son being raised to be the next lord kent as he is older now (early teenhood i believe?). benedict has no idea that sophie is his lady in silver, and sophie is beginning to fall in love despite her never being able to be with ben. and eventually, ben starts to feel the same, and while he wants to have her as his mistress, knowing she wouldn’t be a fit wife as she is a servant, and he still must marry a woman of proper lineage — she refuses, as she does not want to end up like her mother and have a child who would live just as she has. so he takes her to his mother’s new home (having moved out of the bridgerton house as kanthony have started their own family) as that is the only place he can take her where she will still be close to him — where she becomes a lady’s maid for the girls, eloise and hyacinth.

things follow closely here from the books for benophie. meanwhile, francesca has married john sometime during the time jump (presumably right after s3 ends, close behind polin) and travel between scotland and london. now we are introduced and see some of michael and his life and maybe longing for frannie. this season john most likely dies and we see the beginning of frannie and michael’s story start to unfold, both dealing with the heartbreaking loss. she finds she is pregnant with john's child, and thus the wait happens to find out if her child is a boy, and whether michael will become the new lord of kilmartin or not. but she has a miscarriage, and michael is to become the new lord of kilmartin. and frannie needs him in her time of mourning and strife, but he cannot see her and instead leaves for india, most likely because he had a recent discussion with kate about all the places to see and visit.

and with sophie living with violet and the girls, she grows close to them all, even eloise who has been writing letters mysteriously. sophie is the one to notice this and inquire more about it but eloise is still stubborn and tight lipped.

some time goes by until sophie is spending time with kanthony's children who are visiting violet's home and hyacinth, leading to the scene with her wearing a cloth to cover her eyes and leaving only her mouth exposed. benedict walks in and immediately knows that sophie is his lady in silver. they discuss, they argue, sophie reveals who she is and how she is the illegitimate daughter of the late lord cowper. and she runs away. right into lady cowper discovering sophie is working for the bridgertons and she schemes to get sophie thrown in jail for stealing immediately. which leads then to benedict and violet saving her from being hanged, even cressida becoming involved (sophie was her very first friend, and close to a sister, her character being a perfect mixture of rosamund and posy from the books). and benedict announces their engagement, unbeknownst to anyone, even sophie, right there.

upon finding out ben is now engaged, and the recent letter from phillip (her mysterious letter writing receiver) that she has still yet to respond to, she decides to run away to him, to see if she too could find happiness as half of her siblings have found thus far.

the season ends with sophie and ben engaged and planning to live in the country where it is quiet and out of society's prying eyes, frannie being a widow and losing her unborn baby while michael has offed to india, and eloise running away to sir phillip crane.

s5 ~ eloise and phillip

marina crane has died a year or two earlier (while she thought her life could be full of happiness and contentment with her children, she did not find it to be good enough to keep on going), and her children are older now, but phillip does not know how to act as their father as they are out of control and he did not have good parentage growing up. he has been writing back and forth with eloise bridgerton for some time since his wife’s death and he would like to meet her in hopes she will be a good wife and mother to his children, something he is desperate for. and then eloise shows up without notice.

they discuss, and go on as planned, where they can see if each of them will make an acceptable spouse. both finding the other to be not quite what they imagined after a year or two of corresponding. the children do not want eloise there, and in fact continue to lay traps and prank her in hope to make her want to leave - though she is not deterred. and after a particularly nasty prank that leaves eloise harmed, things change from there between all of them.

her family still has no idea where she is, even after many days away. but it doesn't matter to eloise, because during her stay with phillip and his children, she is growing attached and she believes she could be falling in love with them all. but one night post the accident of the children causing her harm, ending up with a bruise on her face, all of her brothers appear one night to confront the situation and phillip, questioning what has been happening. and though nothing that would warrant scandal, it will still come upon them since eloise ran away, without a word and without a chaperone (despite her being a spinster) and thus leads to a proper courting. eloise is taken to stay with benedict and sophie, living not too far away out in the country and phillip goes back and forth to court her every day as such is proper, while they are chaperoned by eloise's family.

we also see some of francesca living with being a widow, and missing john more than anything. her struggle with wanting a child but not being ready to find a new husband. and missing michael since he has left to india with a list of places to visit from kate. she is still lady kilmartin while michael is away, and taking care of the estate in scotland, which keeps her mind and body busy enough to not stop and think about her grief for too long during the day. and hyacinth is now out in society still, on her first or second year out and while she is from the bridgerton clan (notorious for their attractiveness and looks and popularity), her prospects dwindle due to her "un-lady like" personality that seems to scare off any man. seeing her try to navigate the marriage mart differently than her sisters, with her mischeviousness and stubbornness and unable to stop talking and picking arguments. then seeing a little bit of gregory as an eligible bachelor now, still young and nowhere near wanting a bride, but wanting to find a purpose for himself like all his siblings have seemed to have done. and also seeing a glimpse into kanthony's marriage family life. kanthony as the viscount and viscountess with their children, maybe one or two by this point. and hopefully some sight into daphne and simon (hopefully have recasting simon by this point, sad to say) and their numerous children. hopefully polin will have a child by now, or at least pregnant.

when eloise runs away to benophie's home after one of her fights with phillip, instead of their son getting sick, i believe it will be sophie, in the middle of her being pregnant - benedict is distraught and when phillip shows up to find eloise, seeing a tenderhearted moment of his understanding on the fear of losing a wife and child all in one. and later phillip explains to eloise how marina died in fact compared to the story they were telling the public, and how they will get married. that eloise is not leaving, contradictory to phillip's fears. they find their way into loving each other as they continue to court more, with the chaperone of anthony, and their dynamic as a family - how eloise comes to love phillip's children despite them not being his, and not being hers. and how they decide to navigate parenthood together, promising that they are not their parents or the ones that came before them, and will be better.

[this is where my thoughts will become shorter just because we don't have much build up from the show, aka the supporting characters and what not, so my thoughts will most likely be just as they are in the books, hoping the show will try to stick closely to them]

s6 ~ francesca and michael

michael decides to return to london after some years in india. and francesca has decided to rejoin society, end her mourning, and find a new husband so she may have children of her own. and while michael did run away after becoming the new lord of kilmartin, and needing space from francesca, he is still very much in love with her, unbeknownst to her. but we see more of this, of the heartache he has put himself through over the years. watching his cousin and the woman he loves be happy together, and then the one thing that was keeping him from her happened, and he couldn't let himself take that happiness.

watching frannie and michael reunite, and try to find their friendship again, to michael learning frannie wants children and will be looking for a husband this season, to frannie seeing michael as more than just the friend/cousin he once was to her when john was still alive, to michael making frannie jealous with his numerable admirers.

more people start to notice michael's feelings for frannie, most notably violet and colin (surprisingly). and even seeing their new closeness. as frannie frequently visits michael's home to care for him and his malaria he contracted in india. their relationship becomes more than friendship as francesca battles with her feelings towards michael and not knowing what to do with them. and after finally giving in to their desires, francesca flees back to scotland in the middle of the season. leaving michael confused and unknowing of what to do. colin is the one to spur him into action, telling him it is better to try for his happiness than to not, just as he had with penelope. i can imagine even violet will mention such the same to frannie as well, violet finding another happiness in marcus anderson, lady danbury's brother. that it is okay for frannie to go after her own happiness in someone else, that she can still honor her late husband, and live for him even after he is gone.

and so michael pursues frannie, running after her to scotland. accepting that john would have wanted him to be happy, even if it was with frannie. and francesca continues to battle with herself over her feelings for michael. and after finding her in the kilmartin estate, confronting one another, and asking frannie to marry him, her not knowing an answer, to getting stuck walking through the hillsides in the rain, fleeing to the land's caretakers old home, sleeping together again - michael almost wanting to prove to frannie she could get pregnant after her insecurities that she could not. to frannie speaking with john's grave and accepting that this is what john would have wanted for her too.

and so she says yes to michael, she will marry him.

the rest of the married bridgertons have started their families, found happiness with their spouses, something that drove francesca into jealousy because why not her. (i don't have much idea to what the lives of the supporting characters and other bridgertons will look like at this point as we don't see much of them in the books and the timeline is all off now, so this is what i have thus far) :

violet will have found happiness with marcus (i hope so at least)

kanthony will have several children by now, and have long completely taken over the bridgerton name and kate becoming a wonderful viscountess. anthony is proving to be an excellent father, something he seemed to have been born to do, showing so with his siblings in earlier seasons

daphne and simon are still happy and with several children of their own

polin are as in love as ever, with a child or two now, having spent some of their early life traveling together. and colin having a book published and working on more.

benophie are happy in the country, living the quiet life with a child or two, living close to

philloise and keeping a good friendship between their families, as eloise and sophie grew close when she was el's lady's maid. and their children while years apart, grow up together as friends as well.

[hyacinth's story will follow and then gregory's, though i have yet to finish hyacinth's story and have not started gregory's. i will update the thread once i have done so!!!]
