something I forgot to mention that I just realised is that when I was watching the later episodes of soy luna season 3, I was under the impression that Ámbar's 'redemption arc' was going to be instantaneous, because of how the episode descriptions looked, but I was actually surprised with how well they managed to write it given the short amount of time they had left.

and something I really love about this arc they gave her is that they didn't frame it like Simón and Mónica's good influences were the sole reasons why she chose to change, but also the responsibility of running the Roller. Becoming the manager really changed her priorities - she didn't have the time to be cruel and cause issues with Benicio and Emilia and I think that played a part in how she realised that behaving that way had always been counterproductive.

She never stopped being ambitious but being given that opportunity, that power and responsibility, really helped her realise what her priorities are and I think that's where her S3 development was given that shove in the right direction.

Okay, here's a chaotic prompt for SL AU.

What if in S2, after finding out Luna is Sol, Sharon actually fires Monica and Miguel with hopes that they return to Mexico, which would have been the wisest choice if I am honest. But Monica and Miguel do not return to Mexico, but instead, get a job with some other rich family in BA.

So, hmmm, what other rich BA families do we know... Well, obviously there are the Castillos but I doubt German needs new staff, Olga would kill him. Then there are the Balsanos... but Luteo drama would be too great so let's not do that either...

So what if, what if, Monica and Miguel get hired by the Peridas, Gastón's parents. Honestly, this would make sense, since I am sure that Isla and Marco would be more than happy to cover Luna's Blake tuition since education is so important to them.

Just imagine the chaos if Luna now lived with Gastón now, because they don't really have a relationship. They are friends, but not like close. Plus, I don't really think Gastón wouldn't be fond of having in-house staff, given how self-sufficient his family has been this far, and he probably likes his privacy, especially with Nina, whose best friend now lives in his house. So they could bond and become friends

This would have been such a good way to flesh out Gastón a little more in the show, but not take away from Luna. This would give some development for Monica and Miguel as well, they can just judge their employer's parenting styles.

And imagine when Matteo finds out.

in my rewatch of soy luna i feel like there are so many changes i would make that wld still make the show as dramatic but not the same formula of couple is happy, couple breaks up, couple gets back together

like in the scene where luna offers to help ambar (s2, around episode 50-52), that could’ve been the start of a lumbar friendship which would’ve been SO GOOD like can you imagine that ambar would go to bat for luna and luna would be someone that ambar could lean on

we could recognize that luna…has flaws…and have her grow as a character, ESPECIALLY with matteo. like when matteo is going through everything with bruno, she could get mad, but then nina could be like “girl don’t you see he’s being manipulated and that guy is hurting him” and luna could like actually stick through the relationship with matteo, rather than ditching him every time he disagrees with her. also her keeping her search for her parents from matteo, but then telling him when she’s had a really bad day or something

the simbar plot line is actually pretty great and i wouldn’t change it tbh

for gastina, i honestly would’ve liked more jealous gaston 😭😭😭 but also they have a major communication problem (partly because the writers don’t know how to keep couples apart without using the miscommunication trope)

i also think that nina as a character was forgotten about and only existed in relevance to luna or gaston and if we had like a scene of her sending in gaston’s application and being really into the school and having this journey of realizing she wants to spread her wings and go to oxford and talking to her parents about it

anyway i could totally write this into a fanfic but idk if anyone would read it

6. Favorite Violetta episode/s

Choosing one episode would be too hard, not to mention I actually haven't finished the show yet (still three episodes missing). For sure, my favorite couple of episodes is the Madrid storyline in season 2. It's just so fun, full of shenanigans, and of course that's when Vilu finds out Diego and Ludmila's plot, one of the most emotional moments in the whole show. Her crying on stage breaks my heart, but thankfully the scene stitches it right back up.

7. Favorite Soy Luna episode/s

See, there are specific storylines and scenes I like, but since they're often split between two episodes, it's hard to choose one. I love 2x51, when Ámbar finds out she isn't Sol Benson and she goes through a whole emotional journey. I love 2x73, since it graces us with (half of) Simbar's first date... and also says a big "fuck you" to me personally, because apparently having them happy and together for one whole episode was too much. The s2 finale and the first episode of s3 are also amazing, and I love the 50s themed Flash Open and Día de los Muertos, and the last couple episodes of the show are bonkers in the best way.

9. Favorite Violetta song

I'm a truly basic bitch and I have to choose Podemos. Those lyrics are forever carved into my brain. Up close are Algo se enciende and Si es por amor, if you couldn't tell.

12. If they made a new DCLA show, what do you want it to be about?

Honestly, I have no idea. I feel like all the ideas have already been done before. I guess it would be cool to see a competition/reality show type. It would be a rip-off of other telenovelas like Sueña Conmigo, Miss 15 or No puede ser (I don't think I've ever mentioned these last two, but I fully intend to rewatch them and spam your dashes with them), but, I mean, originality has never been the selling point here.

This happens to me often, when I see some pos of a mutual talking about a subject... and I want to expand on the subject. So I make my own post. Today's subject: People's ages in DCLA, especially the adults in Soy Luna (Expanding on this @weirdthoughtsandideas answer post) I won't be touching on Sharon...but the other adults.

I feel like Monica and Miguel are in their mid-40s. From what, Monica told Luna, I feel like they are the same age, but if someone is younger, than only by a couple of years maximum, and Miguel is the younger one. I always like to use some math, when determining these, but it's bit harder since Luna is not their biological daughter, but I'll do my best.

So, I understood that they met and got married quite young. Let's say 22. Now the variables are: 1. How long were they married before wanting to have children? 2. How long were they trying before discovering that Monica couldn't have children? (according to what she told Luna, I assumed that she couldn't carry children, but if she was infertile I'm sure that they couldn't have not afforded IVF) 3. How long after that did they decide to adopt? 4. How long did it take for them to find Luna.

So, now the Amswers:

Given that they are service industry workers and surely weren't in very stable financial footing when they were younger, I'll say 5 years before they start trying because they first stable established careers. (+5)

For the trying part, maybe a year or two? (+1~2)

Surely the discovery was little a bit of a shock, so they minds didn't jump straight into the adoption so I give it 3 years. (+3)

I don't know how adoption works in Mexico, so I just give this another 2 years (+2)

So they were about 34 to 36 when they adopted Luna, who was 3. In the start of S1 she is 15 (+12)

So add all that up, in S1 they would be about 46 to 48.

For Matteo's parents... well his mother is dead. But I have still some hc about that. His parents were probably more on the older side when they had him, being busy diplomats and we know how important his work is to Matteo's dad.

Lucia died when she was 40 and Matteo was 10, so she was 30 when he was born.

Alexander probably was a couple of years older, so he was about 34 when Matteo was born. That would make him about 51 in S2 when he appeared. In the question of Sofia, his second wife, I'd say that she is maybe about 10-8 years younger than him so about 43.

Ana and Ricardo is another case that requires some math.

We don't know when they met, or got married, but I'm sure after they were done with school and stuff since their courtship sure wasn't long, given that they didn't realize how incompatible they actually were.

So let say, Ana graduated law school when she was 25 years old, they met a couple of years later, got married after a year and Nina was born a year a later.

Nina is 16 in S1 so Ana was 45 years old and Ricardo is about the same age.

Gastón parents are obviously completely my own invention, but I wanna talk about them too.

The way I reference their age in my fics is that they are tab a bit younger than Monica and Miguel.

So according to my headcanons: they were college sweethearts and got married straight after. Gastón was born when they were 23, so during S1 39-40
