Been reading all your AUS and was curious how the crossover stuff would go down in the s2 kid Xornoth one (namely the skulk-corruption arc stuff). Actually, speaking of the skulk corruption, how would he also react when it starts to infect Shelby?

Oh Xornoth would freak the fuck OUT over the skulk stuff. I mean, they're stuck in the Evermoore. Worst case scenario Shelby can just leave but what about them? They're already trapped here, are they going to end up some mindless puppet for a malicious entity? (and why does that sound so familiar to them)

When he sees Shelby get overtaken by it he tries to bring her back on his own. But he can't quite manage it.

Hear me out

hs au where the esmp s1 gang are all graduating (s2 is college!!) but Shelby left right after Graduation to go home and see her parents and Katherine asks if anyone saw them (all my aus have he/she/they prns c!Shelby)

And theyre all in a gc but only the twins brought their phones to graduation (bc its the twins) and their gc gets a text from Shelby

Shubble: Ill see you guys again!! I dont know when, since im going to a college for magic but hopefully when we all graduate:)

And the Twins share a look and then everyones RUSHING to Scott's limo, and saying goodbye to their parents so they can make Nature Wives happen

And Kat's panicking because do we even know what flight he's on?!

but they get to the airport, everyone in formal wear or still in their cap & gowns, and they're rushing through to get to Shelby's gate right as the second to final call for the flight is made

and they see Shelby in line and Scott yells out to stop them, and Shelby turns their head to see the other 11 (and maybe Xornoth bc he drove, he wanted to see nw happen) running towards the gate

and Shelby has to make the choice between staying or going and he looks at Katherine who looks so panicked and out of hope and she steps out of the line for boarding, asking for a flight delay of 10 minutes, please thats all I need. Make it quick kid, Flight takes off in 5.

And so Shelby runs towards the group and rather than having the chance to say anything, Katherine kisses her and everyone pauses because oh my god did Kat really do that

and Shelbys surprised and then theres the final call and Shelby asks if they can make something work out, wether it be long distance relationship or waiting four years for each other and Kat takes the long distance option because shes already waited four years to kiss Shelby, she doesnt think she can wait another four to do it again & they'll have holidays & breaks to see each other

And then Shelby runs to the gate to board the plane, waving bye to everyone with a huge fucking smile on their face and everyone else is waving and yelling bye back, and as soon as Shelbys out of side, Katherine almost passes out (but Pearl catches her!!) and everyone else is hyping her up

and then the graduation days for Shelbys college & the others colleges are a separate date, so they all get to make it to their own graduation and Shelbys, and vice versa for Shelby

and IF THERES A S3, which has been hinted at kinda by Fwhip?, then s3 would be their lives as adults and nw living together:)

I thought of this last night and I adore it :)

So! Here’s (the summary of) a season crossover AU I’ve been calling the Storyteller AU.

The rulers of season one, after all dying in whatever way, were having a happy afterlife. The same one Scott went to, actually! But, at some point, they were all taken from it and plopped into strange lands (the season 2 map) as ghosts. They meet up and decide to get a lay of the land, then start figuring out what exactly to do.

In each of the s2 territories, there’s one spot with a large amount of concentrated magic, which the ghosts can exist near and absorb energy in order to become visible. They tell stories to the curious children who gather near them. Stories about themselves, friends, their people or their empires in general. (Most are twisted ever so slightly, so it’s a bit harder to figure out.) This starts to gain the attention of the s2 “rulers”, who decide to take the information they gather to lore man Pixlriffs, who starts slowly but surely unraveling the story the ghosts are telling.

The ghosts are not limited to their own counterparts’ territory, of course. So they move around quite a bit.

Shenanigans and also plot and maybe some angst ensue!

All of them going to the same afterlife makes me soft. Their own little world where they get to hang out without war and strife and demons.

Ooh! I wonder where the magic is in each empire? Of course it's by the fountain in Joel's, maybe in a mineshaft at Jimmy's, the big mushroom at Shelby's (it'll be pretty hard to get a location since the season's still young) but ooh hoo hoo!

And I bet kids of all the empires love them! All of Gem's fairytales, Sausages maybe a bit morbid stories, and all of Joey's escapades on how he totally defeated Xornoth by himself.

I also wonder if uncorrupted Xornoth is there? I wonder what they have to say about these stories, or if they can even remember them. Thousands of years will little to do but talk is a lot of time to unpack stuff.

And as a few years go by, maybe those kids who listened travel the lands, telling the sane tales. There is a handful of independent bards all telling about the same tale.

The rulers come to Pix about this and well... the rest is history :)

so i added joey to my silly lil mlb hero au he's the chloe to katherine's adrien but a better character. he and kat are childhood best friends and his infatuation with katherine is stemmed from a "oh im a boy shes a girl and we like each other a lot and enjoy each others company so we must be married and in love yes" and katherine doesnt really have the heart to tell joey shes not interested thinking "oh i'll reciprocate eventually" like these two got heavy comphet goin on eventually katherine realises her feelings for shrub though and tells joey and hes like "oh if thats the case i guess i shouldnt pursue you anymore good luck with winning shrub's heart tho" and the next day everyone is absolutely bewildered how joey went from declaring his definitely real love for katherine every 5 minutes to "oh no we're just friends now" and shrub probably tries to explain to him that's not how crushes work at some point

but when he's not a civilian is a night time rascal, sometimes a vigilante that does the right thing in the end but sometimes he causes problems On Purpose bc like his childhood best friend he has the rich kid urge to be rebellious. I debated wether or not to use his s1 or s2 character for his night time sona but then i opted for s2, he's a pirate themed anti-hero and when he gets corrupted by xornoth he's parrot themed it fits yes.

also around the first-ish meeting he and katherine's hero sonas meet, he's under the impression that she's flirting with him and he's like "excuse me sir im very flattered but i have a girlfriend" and kat was Not Flirting at all, she's very confused but also feeling a bit gender affirmed anyways then he turns around sees Xornoth and proceeds to have homoerotic tension with him and katherine is even more confused

"Oh, hello Your Highness." Xornoth set the rake they were holding down against a tree. "I wasn't expecting you today."

"Hello, Xornoth." Katherine nodded, smiling politely. "I needed to talk to Shelby about a small development regarding my... issue."

Xornoth frowned. "She's not here right now. She went off to Chromia to give Scott an update about trying to fix... my issue." It seemed as though the young boy shared the same aversion to the word "curse" as she did.

"He couldn't make it again?" Katherine asked, feeling a small curl of sympathy. Xornoth shook his head, sighing.

"It's fine." They brushed it off, though under their breath Katherine heard him mutter "Not like it's the fourth time in a row or anything."

"You... are you alright?" She asked, noting the child's pinched expression. He looked like he had just bitten into a lemon. They looked up at her, then back down at their hands, something forlorn in their expression.

"It's just... for someone who claimed he missed me so much, it sure does feel like he's avoiding me. I know he's got his own stuff to do, but he can't take one hour out of his week to come visit?"

"Oh, Xornoth..." Katherine reached out, setting a hand on his shoulder. "You know how hard it is for Scott to see you like this. It's a reminder to him of all that you've both lost. He feels guilty, I guess. That he wasn't able to save you."

Xornoth grit their teeth.

"I know it's hard on him, but what about me? It's not like I, I don't know, need my brother more than anything right now. It's not like I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact that I might outlive him, stuck in the body of a teenager and trapped in this gods forsaken forest while the rest of the world moves on without me, and that I feel like we're wasting what limited time we might have left with one another because he's too much of a coward to come and face his own mistakes-"

They cut off, tears pricking at the corners of their eyes. He squeezed them shut, trying to blink the water away, which Katherine knew never actually worked.

It was so odd, seeing how mature Xornoth had become in what, to him at least, had been such a short amount of time. And yet they still had moments like this, moments that reminded everyone around them that regardless of any weird time magic involved, they were still... just a kid.

She rubbed circles in his shoulder with her thumb.

"I just- I miss him. Miss Shelby's been doing everything she can but I don't know if she, or anyone else for that matter, are ever going to be able to break the grip the Evermoore has on my soul. If I'm going to be stuck here for the rest of eternity while he lives a normal life and dies without me, I'd rather spend as much time as possible with him while I still can."

Xornoth swiped at their eyes, trying to get rid of the building water in them.

"I just want to hang out with my brother again. Is that so much to ask?"

so ive been reading your kid xornoth stuff and i really like it! and i saw that you had a s2 au with the witch shelby and i thought, ‘what if s2 shelby is s1 shelbys reincarnation, and xornoth also gets reincarnated?’ idk how they meet but kid xornoth, in my head, might become sort of an apprentice to witch shelby.

I really like that idea, especially since Sausage has been pushing the reincarnation plotline, it's pretty plausible.

In this scenario, I imagine it going something like this:

Shelby finds a kid wandering around in the Evermoore. He's lost and confused and scared, his clothes are torn up, and he's covered in mud and dirt and infected cuts and scrapes. They look like they haven't eaten in days.

Shelby takes him back to her witch hut, of which he is suspicious and a bit scared. They say that them and their brother don't have good experiences with witches, but she reassures them that she isn't going to hurt them. He doesn't fully believe her, but he's desperate enough to follow her anyway.

She cleans the kid up and treats his injuries, asking how long he was in there. They respond that they don't know, but it had to have at least been a couple of days. His memory is all messed up, he can't remember a single thing about the time he spent in the fog.

She asks them what their name is, and they tell her it's Xornoth. She asks if he has any family she can contact, to which he replies yes, he has a twin brother. Shelby starts picking up ingredients to do a cauldron call (basically like a facecam call but through a cauldron) and asks what their brother's name is. She nearly drops the bottle she was holding when he says his name is Scott.

She checks to reaffirm that they're thinking of the same Scott, before calling him. He’s kind of confused why she called him, but the second she mentions Xornoth… he goes still. She asks if he’s okay, which he ignores and says he’ll be right there, and hangs up.

Of course, Shelby’s a little concerned and more than a little confused, but she reassures Xornoth that their brother is on his way and should be here soon.

He seems relieved, saying he’s glad Scott made it out, which confuses her even more because Scott hasn’t been to the Evermoore in at least a week, and he’s certainly never mentioned getting lost in it. She’s about to ask them what they mean, when there’s a loud thump from outside, and suddenly the doorbell starts ringing over and over.

Shelby opens it and lets Scott in. He’s severely distressed, and grips Shelby by the forearms, asking desperately where is he? Where’s Xornoth? She leads him upstairs, where Xornoth is sitting on her bed, and when the two see one another, they freeze.

Xornoth asks what happened to Scott.

“What happened to me!? What happened to YOU!?”

Yeah. So turns out, Xornoth and Scott are twins. Or- they were. Xornoth swore they were only in the Evermoore for a few days. But Scott’s twin had been missing for ten years.

*Leans forward* Okay, the Kid Xornoth Reincarnation for Empires S2 has sparked my interest. So, what did happen for Xornoth to go missing for ten years? Was it related to that noodle incident where Scott offended a witch which resulted into him having heterochromia? Oh, and a Pirate Kid Xornoth AU ask: does grown up Xornoth end up forming his own crew and becoming a pirate or does he end up running the Overgrowth??

Scott and Xornoth, when they were teenagers, were very adventurous. Too adventurous for their own good, most people would say when they saw the two of them. They only had one another growing up, they don't know what happened to their parents, so they just traveled from place to place.

One day, they stopped at a village near the edge of Evermoore. It was... a strange village. Wherever they went, people would stop and stare at them blankly, not a hint of emotion on their faces. Hardly anyone was willing to talk to them, and the only ones who did spoke in whispered voices, telling them to turn and run from the forest while they still could.

But their curiosity got the better of them. They took a compass and a map with them, and confidently strode in, missing the pitying expressions the villagers who saw them wore.

Immediately, their compass went haywire. The needle went every which way, immediately rendering it useless. Their map kept shifting, every time they blinked there was a completely new landscape on it.

Scott's not really sure when they got separated. All he knows is that Xornoth was right next to him, holding his hand tightly, whispering that maybe they should go back, something doesn't feel right. And then he blinked, and Xornoth was gone.

Scott wandered around for hours. The sky was completely blotted out, he didn't know where he was going. He was tired and hungry and desperate, to get out, to find his brother, to do something.

By some miracle, he was able to get out. He ran back towards the village to get help, to find someone who could save his brother.

Only to find it empty. The houses were rotting and decayed, plants had completely overtaken it. It looked like it had been abandoned for decades.

At the next village he went to, he immediately asked for the date. He'd only been in the forest for three hours at most. But somehow, nearly two months had passed.

He tried for years to find someone who could help him navigate the Evermoore so that he could go in and find his brother. But no one was ever willing to go anywhere near the Evermoore. Eventually, Scott gave up, and had to come to terms with the fact that Xornoth was just... gone.

I imagine Pirate Kid Xornoth just stays on the Overgrowth and takes over for Katherine once she passes. He may not have the fearsome reputation she had to back him, and there is a brief period where everyone started to act up, confident that now that the pirate queen was gone, her gentle hearted son wouldn't be able to handle them and they could run the place however they want.

But people quickly learn that Xornoth was not the pushover everyone thought. He's a kind, considerate, generous person who does his best to help others. But guess what? So was their mother. He's not the kind to instantly resort to violence to get what he wants, but that doesn't mean he is not capable of it.

Their mother worked hard to build this place for them. He will not let it fall to ruin just because she is no longer around.

They make both of their moms proud.

One more thing about the season 2 Kid Xornoth AU:

Even after Shelby found Xornoth, he can't leave the Evermoore. Scott tried to take them home with him, but they weren't able to step foot outside the trees. He's been in there for too long, his soul is now cursed. It belongs to the Evermoore, and the Evermoore isn't willing to let them go.

Shelby is doing everything in her power to find a way to break the curse, but in the meantime has started teaching Xornoth what she knows about magic. He basically acts as an apprentice.

I've mentioned previously that Shelby and Xornoth met when Shelby was exploring the Mangrove forest. She got a bit too far in and found Xornoth, and took him back to her place so that she could contact his family.

For your second two questions:

Xornoth doesn't know what the hell is going on in the love triangle between Miss Shelby, the weird pirate, and the truly unrealistically buff princess (seriously, when did she find the time to work out to get that strong???), and at this point they're too afraid to ask.

(He is secretly rooting for Miss Shelby. For obvious reasons)

Wait is s2 kid Xornoth a ghost

Xornoth is not a ghost. He still has a body, a soul, and his mind still belongs to himself. They're not dead.

But he's not alive either.

They haven't been since they went too far into the forest. The reason he can't leave the Evermoore? Because as of now, it's the only thing sustaining their continued existence.

He's stuck in a limbo, teetering on the edge between the land of the living and the realm of the dead, waiting for something to pull him over to one side or another.

Hopefully either they or Shelby figure that out before something comes along and drags them to the wrong one.

Now, after you crushed my heart with that angsty short fic, here'a some lighthearted stuff about S2 Kid Xornoth that's been stuck in my head for quite some time: Hermes and Xornoth being besties. Like, you can't NOT imagine it, all the rooftops they can destroy using magic and redstone contraptions. These purple gremlins are the most powerful force on the server solely due to the fact that they almost everyone on the server adores them kids.

Oh my god yesssss.

They meet when Lizzie brings Hermes around to increase the frog population, and he ends up helping them. They've always been one for harmless mischief after all.

After that, Hermes keeps asking their dads to bring them around to the Evermoore. The two of them are a destructive force to be feared for sure, between Xornoth's amateur yet undeniably powerful magic, and Hermes being a demigod.

Hermes tells Xornoth all about his dads' empires, and says he hopes Xornoth can come visit someday.

It's a relief that Hermes is immortal to Xornoth. If all else fails, and he's stuck here forever, at least he'll have a friend that won't die like everyone else.

Also, Scott is slightly worried at how he just watched his...older? Little? Brother, destroy a dummy face in less then 30 seconds.....he feels like he shouldn't get on Xornoths bad side...those dummy where made of wood...

Katherine is also making tea, and acting like a mom somewhat to Xornoth...as well as comfort Shelby.....why does this feel so familiar to him? *do you get deji fu intensifies in the background*

They're kind of used to it at this point. Just kind of... look the other way, it's probably fine territory.

No one believed Scott when he said Xornoth used to be the timid twin. At this point, even he's starting to question it- seriously, where the fuck did that pure, unbridled rage come from?

Xornoth doesn't understand why these two women make him feel so safe. He doesn't know why, when sitting by the fireplace, wrapped in a blanket as he sips at a cup of tea while Katherine and Shelby not-so-subtly flirt with one another, he's filled with an overwhelming emotion he can't name.

Not quite nostalgia, not quite longing, but somewhere in between. Like he's been here before, done this before, felt like this before.

It's a feeling he treasures.

So then, does that mean that they all have their past memories, or is it only certain people, like Xornoth and sausage?

Also, if Xornoth does remember s1 kid xornoth au, he's just like: *looks at Katherine and Shekby* "....oh yeah, I've seen this all before, history repeats itself!-"

Oh they'll get flashes and a sense of deja vu, or if I'm feeling extra sappy it might play into a sweet moment or two, but honestly I'm just sticking close to canon in this one. Unless they directly reference the reincarnation in the canon character lore, it probably won't get brought up in this au either.

But the idea of Xornoth seeing Katherine and Shelby flirting and thinking "...Where have I seen this before" is hilarious

Okay, so, imagine Katherine and Scott going ti Vista Shelby and Xirnith, only to find the child attacking a dummy and Shelby crying; all because the ghosts took their animals or smth

The ghost gave pushed them over the edge-

A ghost possessed the dummy to jumpscare them both and it was the final straw after a long line of shitty experiences in one day. Needless to say the spirits won't be doing that again any time soon.
