Hey anybody remember Faeverse? Because I do, here’s some more art of Fae!Ink //very, very minor blood warning
Tumblr media
Faeverse is a project being done by me and @dinosaurzzz , a retelling of Underverse with a twist of xvials and fae folklore from many different myths. It’s still been brewing but we’ve had it around for a while and it’s about time I did some more stuff for it, this time a doodle sheet for the variation of Ink in this story. If you would like to learn more, please go to my personal project masterpost which is linked in my pinned and you will find more information in the links provided for this project. If you plan to make fan content, those posts are essential!
Either way, enjoy :3

'Aes Sídhe' , or 'People of the Mounds', are comparable to fairies or elves within Irish Mythology. Said to live underground in fairy mounds, they either are from across the western sea, or coexist in a realm alongside our own.
Part 1 of what I plan to make an ongoing series! I love the creatures of fairytales and mythology, so I'm starting a tarot-card-style series to practice my creature design with my interpretations of them! Please enjoy, and if anyone has any suggestions let me know!

📂- He likes dancing a lot, particularly swing dancing (both the normal style and more acrobatic style of it), and he tends to use it to show off. Or flirt. But also just because he thinks that it's a lot of fun. It was something that he initially picked up because his younger sister wanted to try it, and had found and been in contact with the one that eventually became their teacher.
At first, Py didn't take her teachings all too seriously, but found even before the end of the first lesson that it was something both he and Mammon really enjoyed...even if they did struggle a bit at first. Dancing was much different from the fighting that they were used to, at that point.

it's actually so so poetic and perfect for the all-blossom to have been planted in the realm of the dead, thus transforming it into faerie also.
not just for character arc reasons, which were amazing and so emotional.
but also because historically the line between fairies and undead was a whole lot murkier than we think of it now. banshees are undead spirits that wail when someone of the household is about to die, yes? but the name is from the old irish "bean sídhe", which roughly translates to "woman of the fairies". They were fairies. They were also always ghosts.
and there are stories about fae lords of the lands of the dead, and so much more. fairies and undead were like, two sides of the same coin (to borrow from Cody), and it was a coin that quite often landed on the edge too.

The Magical Girl Guide to: Faerie Witchcraft
Tumblr media
A post a long time in the making, it's finally time for it to get out of my drafts. I've talked about specific faeries in the past but never a sweeping generalization on faerie witchcraft it, so let's change that this 2024.
Faerie witchcraft at its core is a path of witchcraft that revolves around communicating with the folk, working with them, calling on them and leaving them offerings as thanks for their assistance. That is the biggest generalization I can make about the path, but what that core looks like can be very different from faerie witch to faerie witch. So, let's talk about the faeries.
(As always, these 'magical girl guides' isn't the 'end all be all'. These are barely the tip of the iceberg. Always look at other's experiences/UPG and of course make sure to do more extensive research beyond a post on Tumblr.)
What are faeries?
Faerie, Faery, Fairy, Fae, Fey, Fay, it doesn't matter how you spell it, we are all referring to the same thing ー the Good Neighbors.
By definition, faeries are "is a type of mythical being or legendary creature, generally described as anthropomorphic, found in the folklore of multiple European culture a form of spirit, often with metaphysical, supernatural, or preternatural qualities."
There are no real single origin for faeries so much as a collection of folk beliefs from all over.
Terminology
Other Way to say Faerie

The Good Folk
The Good Neighbors
The Fair Folk
The Folk
The Gentry
The Good People
Greencoaties
Changeling - a substitute left by a faerie after kidnapping a human. Can sometimes be one of their own, other times it is glamoured rocks and sticks. Was used as an explanation for stillborn children in the past.
Seelie - the "faerie good guys" in stories.
Unseelie - the "faerie bad guys" in stories.
The Wild Hunt/Sluagh/Underfolk - a group of supernatural hunters in a never-ending hunt/chase. The perception of the Wild Hunt changed after the introduction of Christianity to the isles.
Wild/Solitary Fae - faeries with no Court affiliations, not to be confused with the Wild Hunt.
Trooping Faeries - live in communities and are known for singing and dancing.
Faerieland
Also simply referred to as Faerie, this is the home of the faeries.
Thought to be divided into the four Seasonal Courts of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The Spring and Summer Courts represent the Seelie Court while Autumn and Winter represent the Unseelie Court. These lands are considered to be eternal displays of the season they are.
faeries in folklore
We would literally be here all day if I talked about faeries in folklore. Y'all know faerie folklore and mythology is ancient X'D so this category isn't really all that important.
In these stories, faeries can be anything from benevolent to tricksters to someone out to get it back in blood.
faeries in media
Just as expansive as the faerie folklore post. Faeries are becoming more and more frequent in pop culture with books such as the Folk of the Air series by Holly Black, The Spider Wick Chronicles also by Holly Black, Sarah J. Maas' ACOTAR series and even in older TV shows like True Blood.
Hell, I'm working on a novel that has to do with faeries.
UPG
Since starting my own journey working with the fair folk I've come to learn that your fae working experience is shaped by the fae you go out of your way to interact with, the fae local to your area, what the folk feel comfortable sharing with you and what they feel comfortable letting you share with others.
A faerie witch whose experience centers around the flower faeries local to their area is going to be different from a faerie witch whose experience centers around Unseelie fae. Same for someone who only focuses on transactional relationships with the fae (ex. leaving out home baked goods weekly for a brownie, the brownie takes care of the home and that's the extent of their relationship) vs a someone where their path focuses on enveloping themselves in faerie culture and learning about it on a more personal level (ex. befriending a Court local to your area).
For me personally, my fae work experience centers around wild fae like selkies and death fae like banshee and dullahan. Both of which are very personal and has me enveloped in the cultures of these faeries. No transactions here but something deep and personal, like family. It's influenced the witchcraft I've chosen to incorporate into my craft as an eclectic witch and things I experience on a daily basis. (I do have guides on both selkies and banshee if you are curious. Dullahan post is in progress.)
Because of this, your prospective relationship with fair folk and what that may bring in your life is going to be very personal to you, I've found. There will be some overlap, of course. You'll run into someone and go 'oh damn, me too!!'. But it will still be special and unique to you.
It can be as personal as you want it to be. It can be as impersonal as you want it to be. It's up to you.
As such, I can't really make a generalized UPG post about what working with fae is like. There are so many kinds of faeries out there that it would take forever to complete! And one person's daily UPG can look vastly different from someone else's.
I don't believe it's as rampant as it used to be in witchcraft-related spaces as it was in say 2016, but there will always be people who will say things like 'avoid working with faeries in general' or 'fae work is only best for the experienced. If you're a bigger, fuck off'. But I personally think that, like with any craft, as long as you take the time to baby step your way into it, study as you go along, then fae work isn't something that should be gatekeeped to the experienced.
Seelie vs Unseelie: A Lesson in Faerie Morality
There's a huge misconception about these two faerie categories that Seelie means 'good faeries' while Unseelie means 'bad faeries'.
So the best thing someone can do when stepping into the world of fae work is completely disregard that notion. You can meet Unseelie fae who don't mind mortal company and then meet a Seelie faerie who doesn't fuck with humans in the slightest. I think it would better to think of it as faeries who commit to the right or left-handed paths and even then that's putting human morality on it. Human morality and faerie morality are not the same and the faster you realize that, the better it'll be for you.
What you might find atrocious, faeries might go 'that's not so bad'.
What you might find 'not so bad', faeries might find despicable.
Unseelie courts tend to be a bit less welcoming than Seelie courts in a general sweeping overgeneralization. That’s not to say there aren’t Unseelie fae that wouldn’t interact with humans, but a good majority probably won’t be happy to see a human frolicking about the place unattended. So if you ever feel the desire to visit an unseelie court, I’d wait until you’re more experienced working the fae and having the etiquette down
How important is etiquette?
I've personally found that the closer you are to a faerie, the less important etiquette is.
I don't speak to my selkie friends the way I speak to the flower faeries that are local to my area. The way I talk to banshee I know is very different than how I talk to banshee I don't know.
So yes, it is important to learn the proper etiquette to avoid angering a faerie. But the closer you get to the specific folk in your lives, should the relationship go beyond acquaintanceship/transactional, you'll find yourself speaking a bit more casually with them over time.
Faerieland: A Personal Dive
The home of the Good Neighbors.
You can go to Faerie by way of the astral or by slipping into a pocket of Faerie found in our realm (ex. you're on a nature hike and suddenly you've found yourself walking into a revel).
You could write a 50 page dissertation on the courts of Faerie and still not be done covering it. There are hundreds of Courts outside of the main few that you'll hear tossed around by fae workers and folklore enthusiasts and even with those known few there can be dozens of Sub-Courts.
I've met faeries from the Flower Court, a Summer pixie who came from a specific sub-Court called the Lake Court. I've heard of fae workers talking about Winter Sub-Courts that have to do with specific wintery holidays. So yes, there's definitely more than just the Seasonal Courts.
I always let people who frequent this blog what I can and cannot do and what I have and have not done. So in the spirit of keeping things transparent, I've only ever visited two Courts in Faerieー the Autumn Court and the Death Court. I can't really tell you much direct information about the other Courts because of that.
So I can't really give any 'here's a place I recommend visiting in Faerie' beyond a simple 'avoid any place embroiled in politics'. Any court going through serious issues whether that’s a change in power or what have you, won’t be the best place to visit.
Stick to well-populated places to start. You’ll likely find less problems there than say remote areas of Faerie. Just know, Faerie can be as terrifying as it is beautiful.
As for leadership, that looks different from Court to Court, Seelie to Unseelie.
I usually hear more about matriarchal rulership in Faerie, but there are faerie kings.
Who counts as 'Fae' and who doesn't?
If they consider themselves fae, they're fae. If they don't consider themselves fae, they aren't. That's really all there is to it. I've met merfolk who consider themselves faeries and I've met merfolk who consider faeries separate entities from themselves.
So in my experience, I've found that you just learn what the entity in question thinks of themselves as and respect that.
I'm just trying to keep faeries out my space tbh
You'll find the old timey methods to be very suitable. Iron, salt sprinkled around and so and so forth.
And should be out and about in nature, and you want to enjoy a hike without the fair folk messin' with ya, I'd recommend keeping an item of clothing inside out, carrying rowan or iron charms. And keeping to the trails. Faeries are more likely to avoid areas with heavy human foot traffic.
suitable offerings
The disclaimer here is that these are general offerings that most faeries should like. Should you ever find yourself working frequently with a faerie or find yourself the companion of one, there could be other things that they specifically like or dislike. But you usually can’t go wrong with:
General
Anything from nature like flowers, leaves, etc.
Tea
Honey
Cream
Berries
But should you be trying to get the attention of a faerie of a specific species, fine tune your offerings to that type of faerie. Seashells for selkies, bones for dullahan and so on and so forth.
how to gain the attention of a faerie
1) old fashioned offerings
2) astral travel
3) spirit attraction spell
I’m not a promoter of conjuring or otherwise, forcefully bringing a spirit to your vicinity. Think about it like this: you’re at a wedding. You’re best friend in the entire world is getting hitched to the love of their life, and you’re among the audience. You’re welling up with emotion and pride for your friend to have made such an important milestone in their life when… Suddenly, you’re not at their wedding anymore.
No, instead you’re looking at some random stranger who summoned you to their home who say it’s because they’re interested in working with those of your kind. You wouldn’t be too happy about this, would you?
Not only is conjuring or summoning bad for the entity, it can be bad for you if this entity isn’t easily forgiving of being torn away from their personal life to your home and you can end up paying the consequences for it. Instead, I recommend a spell that attracts entities to your home or if you’re sufficiently prepared, astral travel it up.

gender identity :: faegender, faunagender,

source :: brainmade, vaguely inspired by D&D
aesthetic :: cottagecore, ethereal, warmcore, honeycore
appearance description :: lively and full of joy, fawn is often seen bounding about outside. fae choose not to wear pants most of the time due to their pride in being sídhe (and the fact that fae don’t have genitals unless willed into existence). calliope tends towards loose-flowing cotton shirts similar to those seen in the medieval era. dear makes sure to wear things dear is okay with getting mussy, whether from dear art or from excess sunlight exposure. birch can shift forms just like other sídhe: they can appear as a human with antlers, a semi-humanoid form (the one he uses the most), a normal deer with odd-looking eyes, and a impish child with bare feet. cedar retains her coloration throughout all forms: brown hair, black eyes with a golden star, light brown skin with white patches, and orange tips of their hair that seem to glow at sunset and sunrise.
personality description :: honeydew is a timid fellow with an impish side, being quite skittish and running away from any sign of danger. one likes to stay out of conflict for the most part, choosing to let quarreling alters continue in their debates while one watches. cirrus has a touch of a naughty streak by virtue of being a sídhe; one’s urges for chaos can only be quelled through the act of creation, tricking mortals and other fae, and pulling pranks/jinxing one’s friends. these misdeeds are often smoothed over with a song on one’s lyre or pan flute or a gift made with one’s own hands. ultimately, though, wirt aspires to make others happy and to be happy himself, whether that be by parties, song, dance, or performance.

THE MAGICIAN: SPARK OF MAGIC (What inspired you to write your novel?)
Project.Ink:
I wanted to write something purely self indulgent. Lesbians, Faeries, Irish Folklore & Mythology, Angst, Whump...... it's got it all 😅 Real talk though, my family are Irish and I've always been obsessed with our faeries - I wanted to play with the idea of the 'changelings'. Instead of human parents unknowingly having their baby swapped with a fae child, I wanted to do something with the concept of a faerie believing they're a human and only finding out later in the story that they were one of The Sídhe. And I wanted it to be gay. Thus, a queer, lovers to enemies to lovers, irish folklore, faeries vs humans novel was born.
Project.Seraph:
I fell down a 'biblically accurate angel' rabbit hole and thought about how FUCKING TERRIFYING it would be if angels existed and decided they were tired of our bullshit and started a war. And then in true Sav fashion I flipped my original idea on its head and made the angels the ones we should feel sorry for - hence my little baby Nevaeh was thought up. Obviously I needed an evil queen to ruin everything for everyone, and Teo..... was an afterthought 🥲 I ended up dreaming about Project.Seraph one night and loverboy just happened to be there so I fleshed him out and decided that if he infested my dreams before he was even an OC then he deserved some attention, and Nevaeh deserved someone to love. I wasn't gonna make it easy for them though lmao.
Project.Claw:
I listened to this song one (1) single time and decided that everyone deserves a gay werewolf love story (Remus Lupin I'm so sorry you never got yours). And I wanted to keep the murder because I'm incapable of writing a story where my characters don't suffer :)

Species in the Respawn series
A collection of write-ups about the different kinds of people in the Respawn series from the Bunkshelf lore wiki. I need to go through and expand these in the future, but they work as synopses.
Humans
Humans are amongst the oldest and most common of the sapient creatures, made to fill the world and understand it. Their culture changes and diverges so violently, often by conflict, that they loose their grasp on their history. In the modern age, humans are known to be somewhat reclusive.
Humans are one of the few people capable of magic. While most humans will never manifest the ability, those who show promise can train as mages. Unlike most other magic-capable species, humans aren't limited to only one or two pools of magic.
Fae Folk
The Fae Folk, though they just call themselves the aes (from Aes sídhe), and are colloquially just called the Folk by others. A family of species with great magical power. Typically manifesting as humanoids of adult proportions but shorter, often with insectoid wings though sometimes without, little is known about them. They are ancient, as old as the first humans, loathe change (were friends with the earliest humans) and live apart from the other species in and around woodlands, with a particular fondness of hawthorn trees. They are highly spiritual, with a strong connection with the dead. Among their magical abilities are their penchant for unpleasant debuffs, though they can't do damage directly and are poorly built for physical conflict.
Aes sídhe, pronounced eyz-shee. When shortened to aes it is sometimes pronounced as ieez, though this can be considered incorrect. See this pronunciation key for help.
Dragons
Solitary, territorial creatures, enamoured by shiny things. Dragons come in many forms, including six-limbed fire-breathing dragons and the more rare serpentine longer dragons. One of the few sapient creatures with no qualms about eating other sapients. Very long-lived, and as a result hibernate for long stretches of time. Intelligent, but mainly wise from age, they are mostly ignorant of common society, and mostly don't care; dragons are typically emotion-driven and unsceptical. There are a few subspecies of Lesser Dragons such as the wyverns, but the oldest of the Great Dragon races are nearing extinction. Dragons are sometimes capable of magic, though if a dragon is proficient they generally can only control only one school of magic.
Felis
They are functionally similar to the concept of nekos; a felis is humanoid in shape, albeit with the addition of cat features, such as ears, eyes and a tail, and noticeably sharper canine teeth. They are on average shorter in stature that humans, possessing comparatively greater agility and reflexes, at a cost of lesser endurance and strength. Felis adventurers make for competent rogues.
'Felis' is a more formal name for the species. Typically they refer to themselves simply as 'cats', instead referring to the smaller, non-humanoid felines as 'house cats' or 'domestic cats' to distinguish. They generally don't have a good relationship with lycans.
As they were not amongst the earliest of species the exist on the Place, the felis people arose later, though not be speciation. They are a comparatively younger species, only having existed for the past millennia. They were created by one of the Developers without the knowledge of the others Devs. Originally born as a human, the same Dev then took the form of a felis.
Felis have two ears.
Qoatla
Related to the humans and ediacrids. Qoatla are a species of sapient people that exists on the Plane, the world of the Respawn series. Rhamphor, one of the main characters in the series, is a qoatla. Qoatla are humanoid, with great avian wings, and retractable blades within the forearms. With large enough backpacks they can often pass as human, though many qoatla have unusual eye colours. They don’t mingle in human societies as often as others like the felis.
Golems / Mechanoids
Creatures made of animate clay, rock, metal or other material, with a core made partially of activated argentiferous galena. They were created by the Developers originally to perform simple tasks. A knowledgeable enough being could animate their own golem using spells (changes a data value to assign an AI to the Entity if it matches the criteria). The earliest golems were simple turtles, but over time their intelligence has increased collectively to the degree that all newer-constructed golems have become self-aware. This is an oversight by the Devs, but out of compassion for this accidental species, this has not been fixed. Golems don't have a standard form due to being built rather than born and so can take many forms, but a heart and a mind are necessary, requiring galena.
Ediacrids
Bipedal reptilliomorphs with a carnivore’s teeth and sharp claws, though despite their appearance they are relatively civilised. Their scales can be olive green, a stony brown or a fired clay-red, as well as some other variations. They typically wear loose-fitting clothes to account for their crocodilian tails, and sleeveless shirts due to the feathers that grow along their outer arms along the elbow. Feathers less commonly grow along the back of the neck. On the brow is a coloured crest.
Ediacrids are amongst the oldest races, though were designed by the Developers rather than the Creator and are not as old as the humans, dragons and Fae Folk. Typically reasonably friendly if not too outgoing with regards to other races, ediacrids are stigmatised somewhat by the other races due to their monstrous appearance, and so mostly keep to themselves. Almost exclusively carnivorous, though they can digest most food types like omnivores. They tend not to use melee weapons, as they don't really need them, but do sometimes use bows and crossbows. Insensitively referred to as lizards.
Lycans
Similar to felis, they are predominantly humanoid with wolf ears and tails, with greater strength than the average human. Unlike felis, they are also able to change forms between mostly-human and fully wolf. As a result of the dual-life, lycans typically live amongst themselves away from the other races in groups away from society. Lycans are not like tales of werewolves; the trait is not transferred by bite, it is inherent. The transformation ability can be performed at will, but each switch becomes substantially more trying when attempted in quick succession, to a limit of two or three times per day. Moonlight reduces this cooldown period, and during full moon the cooldown is only a few minutes. Lycans have the ability to get along with just about any other people, but won't necessarily. Their relationship with felis is very mixed. Lycans are an older species, steeped in folklore due to their rarity and little-known history.
Selkies
Aquatic humanoid mammals with more flexible limbs due to slightly thinner bones, webbed digits, and somewhat longer flipper-like feet. They are very resistant to cold, and are natural swimmers. They can’t breathe underwater, despite common belief. Instead they have positively charged oxygen-binding proteins, called myoglobin, in their muscles. This essentially allows they to carry more oxygen for longer, allowing for dives of up to two or three hours. They shift blood flow away from extremities and toward the brain and organs to prioritise oxygen during a dive. However, the extra myoglobin can lead to selkies being generally more absent-minded than with humans of similar age, as well as a slightly greater rate of developing blood sugar problems. They can walk bipedally, but due to their oddly-shaped feet they can be a little ungainly, and so greatly prefer bodies of water for travel, or otherwise can use custom geta-style sandals with ankle straps for walking. Selkies have a penchant for electric and ice magic.

First pass at Aedlyn and his armor.
The first pose is a map of his scars. 1-2 are from attempted assassinations on the battlefield, 3 is from being gored on a hunt (never again), 4 is from nearly degloving his knee on a stony riverbed, and 5 is from being caught in a human snare trap in his younger years.
In the third outfit he wears a brat, a type of robe with a usually woolen fringe worn by the nobility of Ireland, but as he is a prince of the Aes Sídhe he can much afford a pristine fur fringe to contrast the rich red of the cloak. He sports the colors of the royal Ua'Cruachan house: white, red, and black, and has the insignia of a snake impaled on a sword on his right pauldron. The construction of his white steel armor is reminiscent of the leaves of the holly bush. His greatsword, pictured above him, is of a meteoric alloy and is much lighter and more maneuverable as a result.

I would like to introduce everyone to…
Tumblr media
Faeverse Ink! The first of many reinterpretations of Underverse’s story with a mythological twist! Being worked on by both me and @dinosaurzzz (@dynobitezzz is it’s art account), this is a pretty fun little passion project. He’s based on the Leánnan Sídhe, a creature from Irish folklore! PLEASE go and see the initial concept post and the masterpost regarding him so that you can have the full context for this AU and fully understand it! You’re welcome to make fan content of this and all Faeverse characters but it is heavily advised that you remain canon-compliant. Dino hates it when people twist things the wrong way and his arc and personality have wild differences from normal UV, which means I advise you to read all the reblogs on that post not just the ones initially visible. Either way, I hope you like them and I hope you enjoy seeing the ride that will be this AU’s production.

random obey me lore idea
so like. we know mc's magic went wild and was causing weird shit to happen to the environment and making weird magic fluctuations throughout the realms. but what if it also had an effect on magical creatures (demons, sirens, fairies, vampires, etc). i like to think that the bursts of wild magic essentially caused mutations in them (either already grown ones that were near the sites when the incidents occurred or those born or 'turned' in the cases of vampires/werewolves/ what have you). they could be major mutations that drastically change appearances or les visible ones that effect traits. like making vampires so sensitive to sunlight that they cant even go out at night bc the reflection from the moon burns them or making them more resistant and letting them survive semi prolonged exposure to daylight. making creatures more powerful or significantly weaker. giving them abilities before unseen in the race that can then get passed on to offspring or those that the afflicted individual turns and as time goes on it becomes more common in the species. others looking down on the afflicted or outcasting them bc theyre "not a True [creature type]" and it greatly affects sociopolitical interactions amongst them all. the amount of work the sorcerers society would have to do to document everything lmao
in my mc's story they get turned into a vampire (i really like vampires and also tend to pick and choose the various vampire lores i like bc if i ever became allergic to garlic whats the point of trying anymore lmao) but when they turn a combination of their magic going haywire and the ring light causes the vampirism to mutate as it takes its hold
just some Thoughts <3
-🥐
Oh my little baker friend, I LOVE this idea!!
I too am a fan of vampires. I do the same thing when it comes to vampire lore whenever I write vampire stories. Just because I find most vampire lore to be ridiculous in a lot of ways. I think a vampire that can go out in daylight, appears in mirrors, has no aversion to garlic, isn't super pale, etc is far more terrifying because they can blend in with regular people to the point where they're indistinguishable. And I think that's just a more compelling premise all around personally! (And I have written quite a few vampire stories in my time... it's a concept that has never truly released me lol.)
But anyway, it's fascinating to think about how mythical creatures existing in the world would react to increased magical surges. I love the idea of this having some kind of lasting impact, too. Like it ripples through the generations of creatures because some of those things are passed on. It's cool because in the actual story, once that stuff was resolved, we never really heard about it again. So it's interesting to think that MC's magic going crazy actually impacted something long lasting.
Now I'm just imagining the Sorcerer's Society hating Solomon even more because it was his apprentice that caused all this extra work for them lol.
I also really like thinking about how an MC that already has some magical properties would react to such things. It would make sense for an MC being turned into a vampire to have drastic effects due to the strength of the magic created by the ring.
I have an AU where my MC is half fae, leannán sídhe specifically, and I didn't even consider how something like that might change them. Now my mind is going crazy with ideas about fae that have mutated due to the magic and end up more monstrous than beautiful or the other way around. The unaffected fae are like, okay get out you guys are messing things up lol.
There is so much space for interesting interpretations of things like this. Because there's definitely an implication of such mythical creatures and such existing, but we don't get a whole lot of context on them. So you can pretty much come up with whatever you want, which is truly fun. I mean I think they did mention vampires briefly and I like to think that since vampires aren't really humans they can kind of move between the human world and the Devildom. I wonder if the ones in the Devildom would react more strongly to MC's magic while MC is in the Devildom, too? Maybe there becomes a more obvious distinction between vampires that live in one world vs the other.
Though you also mentioned demons and if demons started to mutate too that'd be a whole problem for Diavolo I would think. You could really expand on that idea. Like maybe members of the House of Lords get mutated. Then you get to decide if that means they get kicked out or if the other House of Lords demons see them as beneficial to their overall cause. Of course I don't know how important the House of Lords is in OG season two since we didn't even hear about them until Nightbringer, but it's still interesting to think about!
Yeah I could speculate about this idea all day! I quite like this idea, 🥐 anon! Feel free to tell me more about your vampire MC (or anything else really) if you'd like! I love to hear about such things!

M*A*S*H/October Daye Crossover
And by "Crossover", I don't mean "The two sets of characters interacting with each other" (although I suppose, thanks to extended lifespans, that's also possible), but rather, "What if we infuse M*A*S*H with the worldbuilding and lore of the October Daye novels? Who should have what kind of lineage?" (I figure none of them are Purebloods, because as far as I can tell, Purebloods don't have to fight in mortal wars if they don't want to, and it's been a very long time since any of them wanted to. Whereas Changelings are sufficiently connected to Mortal society to need to worry about things like draft boards.)
Hawkeye: Ellyllon Changeling. "Healers and hedonists who enjoy pain and pleasure in equal measure" Yeah, that's him. His mother's supposed "Death" was actually her running off in order to spare him from the Choice, so he has no idea what he is or that Faerie exists. Magic Signature: Gin and Cranberries (will have shifted to Gin and Blood by the end of the war)
Trapper: 1/4 Satyr, 1/8 Gean-Cannah, 5/8 Human. I figure 1/8 is a small enough percentage that he'll have a muted form of the Gean-Cannah allure, but won't have the day-to-night sex-shifting. Magic Signature: Hickory Smoke and Mustard Powder.
Frank: Fetch Changeling, which would be possible as long as it was a Fetch in the form of a man, who found the time to impregnate a married woman and didn't have to carry the baby to term before the doomed person they were anchored to died and took them with him. It would explain why he's the worst Doctor in the camp (born from a literal death omen), why even people who agree with him usually don't like him (death omens seem like they wouldn't be the type to make friends and influence people--May is probably the exception), and his tendencies toward conformity and social jockeying (all Fetches used to be Night Haunts, and we know the Night Haunts have a tight-knit pack structure that picks their leaders through challenge, combat, and continually-reinforced submission. No wonder he can't stand Henry, the Least Leader-y Leader ever to hold military rank.) Magic Signature: Vinegar and Mildew
Margaret: 1/4 Banshee, 1/4 Siren, 1/2 Human. (Am I saying she might be related to the False Queen of the Mists? Well I'm not not saying it...) Magic Signature: Orange Blossoms and Black Pepper
Henry: 1/4 Cù Sìdhe. He's not stupid, he just wants for things to be pleasant and everyone to get along, you guys. Magic Signature: Oak and Suede
Radar: 1/8 Bannick, 1/8 Hob, 1/8 Faun, 1/8 Roane, 1/2 Human. Magic Signature: Sweetcorn and Soil
Mulcahy: Human. I haven't seen much evidence of this in my read-through so far, but I know that some folklore shows Fae Folk being repelled/bound by crosses/prayers/other Catholic symbology, so letting the Catholic Priest stay human was just too good a potential plot to pass up.
Klinger: 1/8 Glastig. Blood strong enough to make him instinctively want to solve his problems with bald-faced blarney, but not strong enough that it actually works. Magic Signature: Rosewater and spiced meat
BJ: Human, but even before getting drafted he was caught in a Fairy story and didn't know it--did somebody say Tylweth Peg? (That explains why deliveries of her cooking are always treated like such an event by the whole camp, and yes, this makes Erin a Changeling. Better hope the Choice doesn't come for her before you get home, BJ.)
Potter: 1/4 Tuatha de Dannan. Unconscious short-range portal-ing must surely have protected him well across the two World Wars. Magic Signature: Cast Iron and Wild Grass
Charles: 1/2 Daoine Sídhe, although it would maybe be more accurate to say that he's 2/4 Daoine Sídhe--his father was a more "typical" Daoine Changeling and so was his mother. Their whole little corner of Boston high society consists of Daoine Changelings who have decided that, as they are cast out and disrespected in the magical halls of their mothers and fathers, they must be content to conquer the Mortal world instead. As such he's maybe the only person in the camp who knows what he is and knows about Faerie. Magic Signature: Maple and Snow
Sidney: 1/4 Adhene. Admittedly I haven't encountered an Adhene up-close in my read-through yet, but I'm hoping that cutting the blood down to 1/4 strength will remove the "violent response to untruth" aspect, and it would be really useful as a psychiatrist to be able to intuitively be like "You're lying. I don't know what the truth is, but I know you didn't just tell it." Magic Signature: Coffee and Honey
