Clock Strike! It is a manga series that revolves around Cast, a 12 year old, a SMITH (a warrior, engineer, and problem slover), but most SMITHs are male and there Black SMITHS. She becomes an apprentice of one of the few female Smiths.

And there the adaptation of Iyanu: Child of Wonder a Cartoon Network show that will air soon that will revolves around a teenage heroine who must uncover the mystery behind her new found powers and must save her people from an ancient curse.

I have now watched The Million-dollar Pentagram something like 5 or 6 more times over the last week, and I feel like I keep discovering new little bits and pieces of it with each viewing.

If memory serves, Okura (the writer) had mentioned in some interview or another that he might have almost gone a little TOO overboard with the mystery and the multiple lines of motivation involved. It does make a first viewing a little much if you aren't good with names, but once you've got that down? It's crazy where the foreshadowing lies.

For example, one small thing I didn't notice until recently is the canned coffee Kogoro has by him when Nishimura finds him asleep. It's the very same can that Kid-disguised-as-Okita knocks out of his hand and then passes back to him earlier in the movie, in a seemingly inconsequential scene at the time.

Or the amount of times the movie lingers on shots of Ryoe's hands.

Or how often Kawazoe is presented in one-eyed (or monocled) visual language.

The movie only very briefly calls attention to the differing sounds of the sheaths after Hijiri's performance via Kazuha's reaction, but that doesn't come up again until way later.

It's!!!! So good!!!! ARGH.

finding out that the writer for noir (ryoe tsukimura) wrote some of the best utena black rose arc episodes (shiori, wakaba, keiko) and i'm like... okay. that makes perfect sense. and i also think he might be a genius.
