u should do hinata for the character list thing if u want!!!!!!
Hell yeah hell yeah let's gooo
Hi this got long im putting it under a readmore
Favorite thing about him... probably his character arc? I really enjoy seeing his journey going from someone horribly insecure with himself and full of self loathing into someone who can overcome that and look to the future... so so good I eat that shit up. Either that or his attitude. He's kinda... a bitch I suppose? He's really funny, I like that
As for least favorite... idk if I really dislike it but yk. Hes a lil dense, a lil dumb❀
Favorite line... God there's so many... umm, I guess here... all of it hope that helps πŸ‘
HAJIME-FUYUHIKO-KAZUICHI ARE THE BROS OF ALL TIME. They're so close w eachother, they're best bros ever. Im also on my hajime-mahiru besties propaganda, they'd be so funny
Obviously, OBVIOUSLY komahina the world... really can't see either of them w anyone else. They're in love, the wedding is in a couple months they told me themselves
Notp... hinanami... they just.. I really don't like them romantically. Ive also seen a couple people ship him w mahiru which ???? Thats a lesbian also huh. Really any of his besties are a no
Random headcanon... even tho he has a talent for it post game, man can not dress. His ass wears button up shirts and formal shorts constantly. He wears ties casually. When he's working its plain but still unfitting. Its mostly bc he doesn't usually care to think about it, so he just goes with plain "nice" clothes. Nagito has to stop him from wearing long sleeves in 105Β° weather
Unpopular opinion.. idk if this is unpopular or not but I don't really like to think of him and izuru as separate people, or that post game izuru would like,,, manifest as a voice in his head?? Its just one guy man..
Spaceman by The Killers is a hajime song to me... ive just about got an animatic for it in my head and everything...
I can't pick a fav picture of him there's too many. I like those pictures where like,,, you can see his stomach bc his shirt is moving? Idk. But MANGA hajime is GOLD look

Dacw 'Nghariad
I shared it in the discord, but here is some Misuta/Fool from @venomous-qwille's Ghost in the Machine story.
The song this was inspired by is MEREDYDD EVANS - DACW 'NGHARIAD. Here are the lyrics translated as well to see.
Y'all are getting my combo love of folk music, sun and moon robots in love, and romance :')
A gentle breeze sighs through the greenery at the edge of the garden. The smell of a spring rain heavy in the air from a storm that had blown through last night. In the creeping early hours of the dawn the world is lush and twinkling with morning dew and lingering rainwater collected in flowers and leaves. The sky slowly illuminating the skyline in pale purples.Β
With a sweeping gesture Fool drapes himself over the ledge where the garden ends. A spot he had sat in many times now. It surely had the loveliest view of the whole estate. At least when the timing was right.
Tossing back his cape to free his shoulder he lifts his guitar into position - facing his body towards the house. The third floor window open and waiting. He smiles bright to himself. A surge of fond excitement skittering through his wires at the sight.Β
Softly plucking the strings he begins to play a tune that seemed to sing louder and louder through his mind these days. A lilting lullaby of a love song.Β
Dacw 'nghariad i lawr yn y berllan,
Tw rym di ro rym di radl didl dal
His eyes stay steady on the open window. Voice as soft as a prayer for only his intended audience to hear. Welsh tumbling along like a babbling brook to call his beauty to sit and listen. Beckoning his sweet morning birdsong for the moon above.Β
Dacw’r dderwen wych ganghennog,
Tw rym di ro rym di radl didl dal
Golwg arni sydd dra serchog.
Tw rym di ro rym di radl didl dal
Mi arhosaf yn ei chysgod
Nes daw 'nghariad i 'ngyfarfod.
From the darkness his prayer is answered by the pale glow of pink pupils. By far the loveliest shade in all the garden. The flowers can only droop in shame at the unparalleled beauty looking down. Electric blue and ocean green features more lovely than the mottled dawn. But most lovely of all is the bemused smile on Misuta’s lips. Fool would do whatever it took to see that smile the other had saved just for him.Β
Dacw'r delyn, dacw'r tannau;
Tw rym di ro rym di radl didl dal
Beth wyf gwell, heb neb i'w chwarae?
Tw rym di ro rym di radl didl dal
Leaning on the windowsill, Misuta rests his chin on a hand as he listens to his Fool’s serenade. An indulgence he would gladly languish in for as long as the other would go on for. Fluttering affection coursing through him as if Fool’s fingers were plucking along in his heart. Silk ruffles of his sleeves blowing in the breeze like falling flower petals.
Dacw'r feinwen hoenus fanwl;
Beth wyf well heb gael ei meddwl?
Ffaldi radl didl dal, ffaldi radl didl dal,
Tw rym di ro rym di radl didl dalΒ
The final note is held out as Fool locks eyes with Misuta. A nearby leaf collapsing to cascade shimmering drops of rain down to the earth. The world silent with baited breath to see what might come next. Fool sets his guitar aside to stand. Gallantly posturing himself to reach up towards the lunar bot. As if he might just begin reciting Romeo’s lovesick words to Juliet on the balcony.
He smiles wide, eyes crescents as he tenderly calls up, β€œGoodmorning, Cariad.”

10 pm, Off shift.
Kallamar walked out of the hospital, holding his bag and rummaging through it, while talking on the phone.
β€œYes yes, I know you weirdo, just make sure that Haborym has everything he needs before you close up. The poor thing has gone through alot, he deserves all the care he can get. β€œ
β€œ Got it, I’ll make sure he gets what he needs. β€œ Answered Saleos, the man who was on the other side of the phone. Saleos was an assistant of Kalla’s, he helped around the hospital and carried out tasks that were asked of him, along with surgeries and average doctor duties.
Kallamar continued to shuffle through his bag while walking to his car, fixing the phone multiple times so that he wouldn’t drop it, and so Saleos could hear him. β€œ Hah.. Well I’m at my car now, still trying to get my keys. β€œ
β€œ Well while you’re doing that, I’ve got to check Rym’s monitor. β€œ Saleos said, as he placed his phone down, to go check.
Kallamar soon enough got his keys out, crouching to place his phone and bag on the ground, before hearing what sounded like a car approach from behind, as well as a door opening and closing. The car light had flashed on suddenly, as he stood himself up. Upon hearing footsteps rapidly approaching, he turned his head around to be met with….. a bat to the face.

Rock vs. Electronic who will win?
Answer: Electronic
Tumblr media
Reposted from my RYM profile:
For the first time in history, there were more electronic releases than rock in the year 2020 (and every year since) according to this website [rateyourmusic]. It feels like there is a cultural music shift in process that began when bedroom producers took it in their own hands to create forward-thinking music in large amounts without the limitations of being in bands, and due to this we have already seen vast changes in the electronic landscape. Rock, on the other hand, has not seen much difference in the last 20 or so years. Not saying it doesn’t have it’s place but when the newest rock scene I can think of is β€œincelcore” then I feel like it’s had it’s time in the sun y’know? Btw idk if this isn't an obvious thing to say but hip hop has moved significantly away from old production methods, and due to the legal troubles with sampling (fuck u disney/others) hip hop has been electronically produced for the most part for at least since the early 2010s probably earlier idk but the point is that even the most popular forms of music out there, hip hop and pop, are significantly informed by electronic more now than ever before. This sound is being taken in lots of directions we could have never expected music to sound like, due to the fact that synths can make literally any timbre any transitional effect that you can possibly dream of. I heard a friend say a long time ago that everything had been done in music, that was 2014 lmao.

how do you find so much music to listen to? i don't have any friends who like music as much as i do, so i end up getting all my recs from tumblr, but i feel like i'm perpetually lagging behind all my cool mutuals. also, i feel like it takes me a long time to listen to an album and form a conclusive opinion on it, but you seem like you can knock that shit out super fast (remembering that music rating project u did). any tips for broadening my library? thank u and have a great day
This has been in here forever but i never took the time to answer it, i'm sorry! Hopefully belated is better than not at all
Long story short, it's one of those things where the more music you listen to, the more you find to listen to, so once you get to a certain point it's a bit of a self-perpetuating thing. That said, i do have some tips, and a lot of them will be really basic but i'm writing this more as a general thing for people who want to listen to more / different music but don't know where to start:
something that really helps (and especially helped when i was first getting suuuuuper into music listening and criticism as a main hobby of mine (i used to write actual full length reviews instead of the tiny capsules i do on twitter lol)) is just lists! As bullshit as stuff like Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" or the p4k decade lists are, they're undoubtably great overviews of things from the perspective of each outlet that puts them out, and i definitely only got into certain bands or albums because they were canonized in some way or another. plus, if one outlet's lists seem to vibe with you consistently well (for example, Tiny Mix Tapes' decade and year end lists are so very much my shit that i'd listen to almost everything on them) you can follow that site and see what they're reviewing and liking now (RIP TMT for many reasons but losing this especially from them was a bummer for me)
in addition, more narrow lists are great for if you want to get into something specific but don't know where to start. a lot of times, if i want to check out a specific genre but don't know anything about it, i'll check out the RYM "top 5" of whatever that genre is (RYM has its own clear biases and limitations, but especially for smaller microgenres i find it a super helpful starting point) or i'll literally just google "best reggaton albums of all time" or something similar and check out the albums everyone is recommending. canonization is problematic, but by looking into what the majority of people have come to call the best of a certain style or genre or period of time can give you an idea of what the tropes and characteristics of something are, and you can branch out from there if you see yourself digging at least parts of it.
from there, once i have a good starting point, i will both look up smaller / more personal lists (individual people's "best of" lists are always way more interesting than ones multiple people voted on because there's nearly always a curveball or two) and dive deep on both "suggested" similar bands as well as looking into the label or people they made music with, other projects by the same creators, etc., and that can get you quickly off the mainstream road and into fun little sidestreets.
then, last but not least, i will literally just search bandcamp or a music torrent site (by which of course i mean a place where you completely legally buy music and never pirate it) for a specific tag or genre or year and download the ones with covers i like lol. this is way more likely to lead you to mediocre or bad music, but like, that fairy pop album by diana starshine i loved last year i found exactly by searching for i think "hyperpop" on bandcamp. i saw the cover, liked it, checked out a few tracks, and voila. it's shallow and doesn't pay off all the time, but honestly it's been surprisingly successful for me in the past (except when it comes to post 00's j-pop, for some reason many of the best j-pop album covers contain some of its blandest music).
idk if any of that helps but yeah

Princess Rym Ali of Jordan, founder of the Jordan Media Institute & a former journalist herself, sits down for an interview with Arabian Business magazine's Majd Albahou in September 2024 about her hopes for Middle Eastern media. The royal is photographed by Tarek Mawad.
On a sun-drenched afternoon in Amman, the 1919 home currently housing Jordan’s Royal Film Commission is evidence of the transformative power of narrative. Originally a private house, this architectural artefact has been resurrected as Jordan’s first audio-visual arts centre. Having seen more than a century of history, its walls today reverberate with the creative vitality of conferences, workshops, and movie theatres.
Inside one of the house’s exclusive areas, Princess Rym Ali sits upon a backless chair. Wearing a sophisticated, two-piece pink suit that accentuates her flawless sense of taste, her formal elegance is instantly relaxed by her kind manner. Her personal adviser sits close by – a discreet presence in a discussion that soon feels more like a fascinating tΓͺte-Γ -tΓͺte than a formal interview.
The princess begins to talk with obvious confidence. Every question is answered with a quick, intelligent response; her words flow with the trained simplicity of someone well acquainted with their topic. From issue to issue, the discussion flows naturally, a linguistic dance that belies the serious concerns of today: The direction of Arab media, the influence of movies, and the vital role women play in shaping stories.
β€œI thought I wanted to be a journalist since I was about maybe 16 years old,” she says, her eyes flickering with memories. A young Princess Rym, the daughter of a diplomat, was enthralled by the stories of seasoned reporters who visited her parents’ social events. These were not just any tales; they were narratives of turning points in history – the Vietnam War, the Algerian War of Independence, the Portuguese Revolution.
β€œFor me, it kind of activated my imagination,” she recalls. β€œI always thought it would be nice to do that, to tell these stories and to watch history and tell those stories as they happen.”
Surrounded by the tools and trappings of visual storytelling, Princess Rym epitomises the very core of the story she aims to rewrite in this environment. She has devoted her life to changing the media scene in theΒ Arab world, having founded the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) and once worked as a CNN journalist. Her path from the front lines of war-torn Baghdad to the halls of academia in Amman is evidence of her unfailing confidence in the power of narrative and the vital role media plays in shaping society.
Princess Rym’s early obsession with journalism set her on a road leading from the stately halls of Columbia University’s School of Journalism into the chaos of global reporting. Her work at CNN, particularly during her time as a Baghdad reporter from 2001 to 2004, proved to be a crucible that shaped her perspective on the journalist’s sacred obligation: to tell the truth and do no harm.
These were the years when Princess Rym honed her ability to navigate the fine line between factual reporting and honouring her subjects’ human dignity. She describes a poignant incident that occurred when an aircraft crashed in Bahrain, where she refrained from interviewing bereaved families immediately after they had identified their departed loved ones.
β€œAs a journalist, you strive to be objective – it’s not necessarily your role to be empathetic.” She then notes: β€œYou know what they say, the role of a journalist is to tell the story and do no harm. At that time, I thought it was pointless and honestly a bit intrusive and disrespectful to do that.”

hey! how'd you get into this aesthetic? its super chill imo
sending peace and love
hii, thank you for the wishes and your question, you're too kind!!
I have a massive fascination with people and the "eras," art movements, and aesthetics that they've created throughout time. honestly just the human experience and its preservation in general is incredibly interesting. I spend a lot of my free hours digging through the bowels of the internet and finding the most unusual, intriguing (and often times lost) media and trying to give it a second life (and mashing it together as well!)
my aesthetic/style is constantly evolving and being added to, but a few influences I can think of off the top of my head are: flickr, tumblr, internet archive/wayback machine (for old domains, films, articles/books, websites, and livejournal pages), indiesleaze, vhsdvd/evcore, old youtube videos, films (old and new), rym, pinterest, so many cool instagram profiles(!!!), 90s net art, and art books! not to mention the thousands of weird sites i've never heard of before that make me fear for the safety of my computer ahahaha. (if any of you would like to see any of the aforementioned things in particular, do let me know). and finally, i know this may sound odd, but trying to visualize what songs would look like has been a *massive* influence as well.
I hope I answered your question :)

I think Princess Rym Al-Ali is the only one who supported both parties. She should have remained silent if she did not know what was happening to the Palestinian people.
Honestly as I said before I don't think she's supporting Israel. I think she was just reminding people with the law. Here's my previous answer:
It was only one tweet, the same one but in three different languages. Tbh, I think she was just talking about Israel . Maybe, because people will start saying that Hamas killed civilians first and took hostages and ... So she just wrote "Parties in conflict" she didn't even write "The two parties". She was only reminding people of the law. And in general, I feel sorry for Israeli civilians too. Nothing in comparison ofc with the injustice and the violence and brutality and what the Palestinians are going through right now! I am sure she felt sorry for the israeli civilians ( normal people would) but she's 5291018 % supporting Palestine

γ€Ž FAQ 』
USEFUL LINKS: Submissions spreadsheet (gigantic list of every band submission we've received. Song submissions are on the second tab. If this does not load on your device, you can view a plaintext archive here.) Data spreadsheet (List of every band that we've posted or are still in the queue, in order, plus occasionally-updated data for finished polls.) Song submissions form (Suggest a noteworthy song for a band that's already been submitted but not yet posted. First-come first-serve. These are linked in a readmore under the band's poll.)
⏭ Y'all made a mistake! / How do I get in touch? Please scroll to read the whole FAQ first. If your question has not already been answered, then send an ask. We don't respond to most asks publicly, but we do read them all. We do not often check replies or mentions. Do NOT send band suggestions via the askbox, it is for correspondence only. (If the question/comment concerns a specific post, you can also ping me @estradasphere in a reply, but asks are preferred)
───♫───────────── ⏭ Why was this poll tagged with [x]? Genres are usually from the artist's RateYourMusic page, if they have one. Country tags are also from RYM - we tag both formed/birth location and disbanded/death location. As for decades, we do not usually tag all decades a band was active for, just a few that contain their most popular output. If we get any of these wrong, please send an ask!
───♫───────────── ⏭ Why was this album art used? If the artist has an RYM page, the album art we use is of their most-rated album on there. If they don't, we use Spotify or Bandcamp or other sources. We tend to avoid album art that depicts potentially triggering subjects.
───♫───────────── ⏭ This artist is morally reprehensible! We do not endorse or support any artists posted here. We're asking if you've heard them, not if you like them - and doing a background check on every submission is infeasible. You are free to warn others via reply, reblog, etc. That being said, we may reject submissions at our own discretion.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Can you add a "yes, unfortunately" option? No, and we don't think this is the best perspective to have. Every band is someone's favorite! We are not intent on changing the three options we have now.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Can you post more/less of [x] genre? We run entirely off of submissions, and go through those mostly in chronological order. We do not control which bands get submitted. That being said, we do try to space out polls in the queue if there's a lot of submissions of the same genre/vibe in a row.
───♫───────────── ⏭ When will band submissions reopen? If/when we get through the bulk of the current submissions. Our backlog is so massive that this may not happen until 2026 (at the latest) though. Sorry!
───♫───────────── ⏭ When will my submission be posted? You can check our progress by looking at the submissions spreadsheet. Finished submissions are the ones highlighted turquoise. Keep in mind that we post once per hour, and you can probably estimate the date from there.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Why didn't my submissions post in the order I submitted them? We rearrange the queue if there's a lot of bands of the same genre/vibe submitted in a row. Or for no reason.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Why didn't my submission get posted at all? A few reasons this could happen:
Your band is still in the queue, just not in order (see the question above this one)
Your band has been submitted before (search the blog or the data sheet for them)
Your band is so obscure we couldn't find album art or genre info for them
You submitted a ton of bands in a row that are either all similar to each other or in alphabetical order (we don't want one person monopolizing the blog for a long period of time)
If you think we've made a mistake, you can send an off-anon ask or DM a mod, and we'll post a poll for them ASAP if valid. Accidents happen.
───♫───────────── ⏭ How do I suggest songs for multiple-artist submissions? See here and here.
───♫───────────── ⏭ What's the policy on vulgar/offensive band names or album art? Generally OK, but it'll be decided at our own discretion. In the case of album art, we try to find one of the artist's other works at around the same popularity, and if we can't, we'll trigger tag it.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Why don't you tag polls with the band names? Tagging it would put the post in the lap of every fan who follows or searches for the tag. For popular bands, we feel this would skew the results too much.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Can you trigger tag [x]? We currently tag common triggers like gore, nudity, body horror, and suicide (typically as "#___ tw" or "#cw ___"); if we missed a post with one of those, please let us know! As for implementing new trigger tags, sorry, we have enough on our plate at the moment and probably wouldn't remember it. We recommend using Xkit Rewritten's post block feature and/or Tumblr's built-in tag/content filtering.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Have y'all considered increasing the post speed to more than 1 per hour? We don't really want to, sorry! Making 24 posts per day to keep pace is enough work for us already, haha.
───♫───────────── ⏭ How many posts are in the queue? It's maintained at around 150-250.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Do y'all want/need another mod? Not right now. If we ever do, we'll make a post for it.
───♫───────────── ⏭ How is the profile picture album picked? It's just an album that one of the mods likes, that's all. It changes approximately every 2 weeks.
───♫───────────── ⏭ Why is Spotify used for song links and playlists? It simply loads faster on my computer than YouTube. We have no intention of changing this, sorry.

ivy, nutmeg & papyrus for the ask game!!
Hi hi bestie!
So someone else already asked ivy so imma do the other 2
Nutmeg- how is your room decorated?
I have SO MUCH ART EVERYWHERE. I've got prints and pin banners and charm racks and posters on all my walls. Its all kinda a mish mash of stuff I like. Luckily most of it falls into similar colo schemes (lots of pinks and blues and pastels) so it all looks nice together imo. Ive also got my overcrowded shelves of anime figures lol. I need to re do those... basically my room is just me displaying my collections lol
Papyrus- if you put your "on repeat" playlist on shuffle, what comes up?
Just did it, it came up with Law-evading Rock by Wonderlands x Showtime lol. Half of that playlist is pop punk type stuff, the other is project sekai, so πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Anndddd we meet again for day three of Secret Rockstar Santa!!!!
To answer your question about Rush, if you liked Moving Pictures, I would check out both the preceding and subsequent studio albums (Permanent Waves and Signals), and also the live album Exit Stage Left!
Also, it depends on what you like about Moving Pictures. Do you like the more synth-focused rock and the lyricism, or do you like the proggier, harder tracks? If you find yourself liking the synths and the lyricism and the songwriting, I would move forward and check out the albums from their synth era in the 80s. If you like the proggier stuff, I’d go back in time and check out everything from 2112 up to Moving Pictures.
I remember you mentioned liking prog metal, so if you’re a Dream Theater fan, do NOT listen to their cover of Xanadu. I listened to it back in August and I’m still pissed off about it. And I normally like Dream Theater, which just pissed me off more!
That’s neither here nor there right now. Could you recommend me some King Crimson albums? I only have the first one LOL.
-πŸŽ„
Hi!! I'll have to check those albums out. I'd say that my favorite tracks on Moving Pictures are Red Barchetta, and The Camera Eye, so I think those are the more proggier tracks on the album? I do think I'll have to go back and listen to their older stuff, because I remember listening to Farewell to Kings and enjoying it as well!
I've only dabbled in Dream Theater, but I'll keep that in mind. It seems like Rush is often the victim of having horrible covers of their songs. I remember one time my friend showed me the MSI cover of Tom Sawyer and it was borderline unlistenable lol. Thought, MSI making a shitty cover not vert surprising since I'm not even a fan of their original music.
With King Crimson, the way I got into them was by listening to the albums in order of their RYM scores. So Red -> Discipline -> Larks' -> Islands -> and so on. This is a good strategy if you want to get a feel for all the sounds KC went through over the years. If you know what you want though, that you can probably skip that and go straight to the album with the sound you want.
If you want something with a more typical 70s prog sound: In the Wake of Poseidon -> Islands -> Lizard
If you want something that leans more towards jazz fusion: Red -> Larks' -> Starless and Bible Black
If you want something more new wave/post punk: Discipline -> Beat -> Three of a Perfect Pair
Thank you so much for the music recs, and I wish you luck with your foray into KC! :D

idon't know what possesses me to check on rym / letterboxd reviews on my favorites but wow . do i need to stop because i just wind up blocking people anyways . also the rym comment box is just evil nearly everyone on there is just mean-spirited and pretentious for no reason, i don't know why it even exists when they already have a review section......saw someone say that a movie i liked on rym deserved its 2/5 rating . no it doesn't i don't like you people . but then again a good chunk of the things i like are rated 2/5 there . or 3/5 if the userbase is generous enough .
it feels weirdly embarrassing to block a person on there because am i petty for doing so ? yeah but at least i'm not arguing w/ them and thats just part of my philosophy on some of the people i block (besides like . the obvious .)
TBH i'm thinking about deleting my rym because i rarely ever use it . like the userbase itself is pretty intimidating .
though i'm also conflicted on deleting my rym account because i do like the descriptors they have for albums/singles and i do have a few lists on there (its only like . 5 ) i also enjoy the fact that i can add cover photos to my lists.....idk who knows if i'll actually follow through with this i just typed this up because i saw three comments that just pissed me off .
i do wish that there was a music website that borrows the elements that rym has (and imo even though letterboxd is a movie focused site, some elements from there too .) and more obscure music releases on there . i don't particularly care for album of the year, theres discogs but i use that to keep track on my own personal collection and deep dive for anything interesting , musicboard exists to kinda be like the musical answer to letterboxd but it lacks the niche/obscure music albums that other websites have.....this is me (probably) being really really picky but idk i just want to make lists and express my feelings on a certain album through writing w/out being judged by people who think their taste in art is superior and keep using their own opinions as facts .
