Hopi Hari & Parties
so Rotex from my district hold several trips. one that had happened was Hopi-Hari. It was an amusement Park ( like Dufan ) and was a good trip. It wasn’t crowded that day, so we could go to many rides without a long wait. I didn’t ride the big roller coasters because I was so afraid. but I rode the Viking ship ( kalo di Indo namanya Kora-Kora ) which actually I hated. It was so high and swinging so fast. it tickled me so bad. but afterall it was fun. my favorite rides were the Mad River and a roller coaster inside an egyptan piramid. but everybody else said it’s boring because they enjoyed the big one more.
we stayed at the park until 9 pm if I’m not mistaken. when the ride were closing, they had this concert on the stage and held a dance contest. some of our friends were picked to go up and competed the dance. at the end, we all danced with the cosplayers in the middle of the street at the park. it was so fun.
During the September - November we hang out a lot. we watched movies, we hang out to eat acai ( a Brazillian fruit that is made into an ice cream and is so freaking good ), and we also were invited to several parties or in here they call it ‘Roles’ at our friend’s houses. But the parties were without alchohol because of rotary’s rules, don’t worry. We also met our Brazillian friends ; Pedro, Arthur, and Ana that turned out to be our very good friends now! we always hang out with them. this was us on the tower in Rua Do Porto.
this bellow was the first time I met Pedro. We watched The Kingsman 2 ; which I was really waiting for before. now he turns out to be one of my best friend here!
this pict bellow was the party in Arthur’s House. the first time I met Arthur & Ana.
ohh and Halloween! On October there were many Halloween parties. I attended like 3. The first one was in the city of Rio Das Pedras, 20 minutes away from Piracicaba. It was an event from Interact. The second was at my school that I also invited my other friends, and the last one was in my friend’s portuguese school. Those were actually my first Halloween Parties because they don’t really have it in Indonesia.
to be continued!

Brazil? Exchange ke Brazil? Cewek? Sendirian pula? How can it be? Jadi setelah gue denger pengumuman gue bakal ke Brazil, gue tuh seneng. Tapi di satu sisi gue juga agak kecewa why? yah jujur karena kan pilihan pertama gue Jerman, tau gak why i choose Germany? ya karena di sekolah gue, gue kebetulan dapet lintas minat bahasa Jerman. Jadi gue udah lumayan menguasai banyak lah kosakata Jerman dan gimana cara ngomongnya, benda mana yang feminin, maskulin, dan neutral trus udah sempet tahu juga kan budaya-budaya orang Jerman karena waktu belajar bahasa Jerman Frau Ifa (guru bahasa Jerman gue) sering banget kasih video tentang festivalnya orang disana, atau tentang makanannya, dan segala macamnya. Dan waktu gue tau gue bakalan ke Brazil, gue mikirnya OMG bahasanya kan bahasa Portugis, and i don’t even know what portuguese is. How can i survive? Tapi gue sih b aja deh, gue yakin pasti bisa gitu, karena ini malah jadi tantangan besar buat gue karena rata-rata juga anak exchange student gak ngerti sama sekali tentang bahasa yang bakal dipakai di negara yang mereka tuju, Jadi, makanya tulisan agak kecewa diatas gue coret, because now i’m feeling happy with that choice. Jadi gak ada kata kecewa lagi.
Brazil? “ Duh Van, jangan pergi deh.. bukannya Brazil tu tingkat kejahatannya tinggi loh” “Van, Brazil tuh negaranya bahaya,. gue baca di internet pokoknya gak amanlah, banyak copet segala macem, kekerasan. For me it’s like, hallow? Why you worried? I’m gonna be okay. And don’t look something by its cover. Banyak yang bilang Brazil itu blablabla a, b, c,d, tapi kenyataannya it’s okay aja kok. Okay, enough about responnya mereka sekarang lanjut ke respon papah gue.
Kalo gue waktu mau pertukaran pelajar gue mikirnya malah gue pengen belajar bahasa lain, makanya dari 3 negara yang gue pilih, gak ada satu pun di antara mereka yang pake bahasa Inggris, ya it’’s because i want to try new language that i can’t get in my country. Paham gak maksudnya? Coba aja kalo bahasa Inggris, kan udah familiar bgt. Kalo dari pandangan gue sih gitu, gak tau kalo yang lain, Trus soal 1 tahun? Buang-buang waktu? Really? For me, exchange is the best decision ever in your life. Kapan lagi sih lo dapet kesempatan buat jadi siswi pertukaran pelajar? Kapan lagi coba? Kesempatan ga dateng dua kali guys. Dengan ikut pertukaran pelajar, kalian bisa ngelihat dari sudut pandang lain, from another world, another side. And of course they have something unic and special from each country that will make you surprised or make you lauging, or something like that.
Cewek sendiri? Are you gonna be okay? It will be save? Serriously!? Buat gue, kekhawatiran karena gue cewek dan pergi melancong ke negara orang sendirian emang gak kaget sih gue kalo mereka (keluarga, temen, kerabat, doi) khawatir sama gue. But it’s okay gitu loh, not because you are girl you can’t see how beautiful the world is. Anak cewek cuman 1 tapi malah mau pergi. Eh kok melting sih, melting kan leleh, maksud w luluh. Lagian di programnya RYEP ini mereka ketat banget dalam ngejaga anak exchange studentsnya jadi ya gitu, insyaallah it will be save until the end.
So, what are you waiting for!?
